Italian restaurant
Romazzino is a popular eatery in Nantwich that offers a blend of traditional Italian fare and seafood dishes, all served in a relaxed setting adorned with terracotta decorations and Tuscan artwork. Known for its outstanding service and delectable cuisine, visitors consistently leave feeling content and pleased. The menu boasts mouthwatering options such as the delightful arancini, flavorful salmon, and an assortment of appetizing garlic breads.
Thank you so much for a fantastic experience as well as a lunch. We took my mum here (who is 90) and the respect she received was truly heart warming. Food wise all of it I would order again, the tastes and the cooking were as always perfect. Loving the new place (I know 2018 you moved there) you've still retained the charm but eeked in that moderness perfectly. Having met my wife and had our first date with you all those years ago I'm glad to see your business is doing well (as is our marriage 😀) We will be back!

We had a terrible experience the food had no seasoning whatsoever, the paste was all stuck together and the sauce was clumpy almost like it’s been microwaved. For £41 value for money wasn’t there. Ordered a large garlic bread yet it was the size of my hand definitely not a large..

Really nice and welcoming atmosphere. The food was superb, I was a bit hesitant as I had seen the odd bad review on Tripadvisor but decided to give it a go for me and my partner's anniversary. The menu is really nice, plenty to choose from I could have picked between quite a few dishes. I also asked if I could have a long Island iced tea (something that was not on the cocktail menu) and the waiter we had was more that happy to accommodate this. For starters we had the pan fried scallops and the pistatio humous. The scallops were delicious and the humous came with homemade bread. For mains we had chicken and chorizo rissoto, it was so creamy and flavourful. We also had the herb crusted lamb which was to die for. It's one of the more expensive main choices but I am really glad I chose it and it was definitely worth the money. All in all would definitely recommend Romazzino, staff are professional and food is a 10/10. Thanks for having us.

Great surroundings. Excellent customer service. Delicious 😋 food&wine. Do need to keep an eye finner things such as cookery needs to be super clean. Also, water glassware was hard plastic nice but I just don't class that with fine dinning. Overall, lovely restaurant and will definitely visit again but with my husband.

Love this place! Amazing food, great staff and really nice atmosphere! Been here for several times and will definitely come back! Hope you will bring salmon fillet back to menu!

After a previously excellent experience a couple of years ago we decided to treat ourselves for a special occasion. We had been looking forward to the meal all week, however sadly it didn't deliver. The manager with a ponytail took our order standing behind me, rather than at the end of the table where the other manager and waitress addressed the table, which was a little awkward as I had to keep turning around to place the order. He didn't write the order down on a pad and I wasn't surprised to see that the side dish we had ordered was missed off the order and consequently didn't arrive until we had finished our mains. This wasn't an isolated incident, the table behind us, served by the same manager with the ponytail, also had dishes missing from their order. I found him a little rude and arrogant with no warmth or clear intent to ensure a good experience. The fat on my rack of lamb hadn't been rendered at all, leaving more than a centimetre of fat on both cutlets (see image). The mash was lumpy and the pasta for the truffle and porcini FLAVOURED pasta (there are no mushrooms in this dish, just a bowl of supplier bought pasta) was drastically undercooked, possibly because it had been forgotten. The waitress approached the table to clear the starter plates and asked if we wanted anything else or to see the dessert menu, before we had received our mains. The décor is very modern and looks great, however it is quite small and can get a bit noisy, plus parking isn't great. The other manager, who I believe is leaving, was the saving grace of the visit and provided exceptional service throughout. He is a shining example of what hospitality is all about. Given that the restaurant will be left in the charge of the other manager with the ponytail and the poor food, we unfortunately won't be back, which is a shame as it used to be a great restaurant, if a little overpriced.

We’ve been going there a lot more recently on discovery of some great gluten free options. Good food all round, fantastic cocktails and wine list, great service from Tracey, Diane and sue. Thank you ladies!

Me, my partner and family come here a lot when we are in the area. The food is always great, as are the wine and cocktails. All well priced. When we came last week we had excellent service from Tracy, Pepe and Giorgia - thank you!

Our favourite restaurant in Nantwich, we come here often and always have an amazing experience. From fantastic service, to incredible food, we always leave feeling extremely happy and satisfied. The arancini is delicious, as is the salmon and the various garlic breads. I usually go for pizza as their pizza is just so good, the dough is perfect, just the way a pizza should be. Most recently though, I tried the beef cheek which was equally excellent and tasty. Their wine selection is also vast and delicious. Highly recommend coming here!

We popped in on the off chance we could be accommodated without a reservation and they managed to fit us in at the bar. We were promptly served by a welcoming chap and our drinks followed shortly after. We ordered pizzas. They were absolutely fantastic, a true Neapolitan style pizza with a delicate and light base. We both absolutely loved the food, and would definitely go again.

Bistro
Cocktail bar
Bench Bistro Bar, located in the heart of Nantwich, offers a delightful setting with a picnic-inspired theme. This charming locale provides guests with an array of comfort food options, cocktails, and afternoon tea. The venue also boasts a spacious patio area and a large tipi that serves as an outdoor covered dining and bar space.
Gorgeous setting and food. We had the pick and mix, 3 dishes each which was plenty for us and all delicious. The afternoon tea looks amazing too. Friendly staff. Lots of photo opportunities in this lovely place too. Will be returning when I'm not driving so can sample some of the many cocktails.

My friends and i attended this place for a birthday celebration. It was very busy to start with. We had booked a table outside. We got seated, our waitress eventually came and asked if we would like to order drinks. We ordered them and it took nearly 20 mins for the drinks to arrive! At the point of delivering them, she then took our food order. The food came pretty quickly, it was tasty and was well presented. The waitress did not return to check if everything was OK with the food and again we were left sitting with empty glasses. Eventually, we managed to order another round with another long wait. This happen again on the 3rd round of drinks. When we did receive the drinks, they were tasty and well presented. Although on the gummy bear cocktail they had ran out of gummy bear sweets, on the candyfloss cosmopolitan, I didn't get any candyfloss and on a Bench cocktail, they forgot my prosecco shot! Our time at the table was coming to any end, we thought we could get another drink in, we waiting for the waitress to come round...which she didn't! We still had dirty plates where they didn't clear the table completely after our meal. One of us when in to ask if someone was going to come and take an order. Not long after, the waitress turned up and took our order, we expressed to her that we would need to leave in 30 mins and so would need the drinks pretty quickly. We waited and waited...nothing!!! It had been another 20 mins, at this point the bar wasn't even busy as most people had left to go to the festival. So I went to the bar and ask where the drinks are? The woman I spoke to said someone would get to us. She didn't ask where we were sitting or what drinks we had ordered! They eventually turned up and with the bill, as I had requested. But no-one came for us to pay for the bill, so again off to the bar we popped to pay!! Overall, food was great no complaints, it was delicious. But unfortunately they need more waitress and bar staff. The turn over between ordering a drink and getting it is terrible. We could of easily drank a lot more.

Booked online and received a reminder two day before and personal phone call the day before. Welcomed on entering, given time to decide on drinks. Ordered 3 dishes each and a side dish. The food was hot, delicious and more filling than expected with it been a tapas menu. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place very pleased with service and food would have given 5 stars for the atmosphere but it was very cold 🥶 in their will go back again!:)

Took our mum's here for afternoon tea for mothers day, lovely, very different and we all really enjoyed it, apart from the small fact my mum got locked in the loo and had to be rescued by having a screw driver passed under the cubicle door😅 highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic 'little plates' Tapas type bar/restaurant. So much choice for all, the only difficult decision is what to have and ultimately stop the others stealing your choices (while trying to pinch theirs... 😉) Cocktails are great too. Couldn't quite make it through ALL the Drinks and Food choices, but definitely worth going back to keep trying and trying again. Photo is as big as I could capture, but so soooo much food! 😋😋😋

We visited and had afternoon tea & cocktails (& a few other drinks). The service was very good, fast and friendly. The afternoon tea was huge and delicious but not for the faint-hearted as we had a whole weeks cholesterol and sugar in 1 sitting. Cocktails were good too.

Such a creative and fun concept. My friend and I travelled over 3 hours from London to Nantwich as we'd come across the festive afternoon tea on Insta and it was SO WORTH THE DRIVE! Amazing food, brilliant service and a lively but relaxed setting. Highly recommend🍾. Only wish we lived closer so I could return for more😂

Very lovely restaurant. Decor is beautiful and has a floral theme. It’s a picture paradise to be fair. The staff are very attentive and quite helpful. Cocktails are very good. We had four and all of the were amaze. I felt the pork belly was really salty and the other meal I had could have been better. Overall, a good place and I will visit again.

Just went there to watch a band playing during the music festival. Was in the marquee, which had plenty of picnic type tables with cushioned benches. An attempt had been made to make the area attractive. The inside is modern and well presented. Think it is more for the 20-something generation.
David Thompson — Google review
Absolutely lovely, cocktails are so nice but expensive. You need to book ahead for food and reserve a table. Fab choice on the menu. When you order a drink they add it to an automatic tab for the table so it is easy to loose count and run up a big bill. Outdoor seating area is so nice, you forget where you are.
Shelley Lightfoot — Google review
A unique place with a floral aesthetic filled with colourful nooks and instagrammable decor. The bench afternoon teas had a wide selection of savoury and sweet food and the cocktails were delicious, if a little sweet. The staff were attentive and polite. Well be going back!

Pub
According to reports, The Leopard pub offers dog-friendly services, such as reserving tables in favorable locations for customers with dogs and providing fresh water bowls and treats. Moreover, Shell and Jess, the wife and daughter of the general manager, occasionally bake homemade dog treats to support local charities. The pub is known for its consistent delivery of excellent food and a lively atmosphere that attracts both drinkers and diners alike.

A new pub for me. Good atmosphere and bar staff encouraged me to try 3 samples of ale (not a brewery I know). Excellent sandwiches and small sausages cooked to perfection for our group's social get togethet. Well done Leopard.
Alan Thompson — Google review
When a pub gets it right, it's something to behold. Consistently good food. It is a popular drinking hole too. I have taken 1 star down as the pub impacts on the food side and I'm not much of a drinker. Good atmosphere, great food, convenient.
Peter Molesworth — Google review
First visit since the reopening! The pub looks fantastic, those in charge have done a brilliant job, easily the best pub for miles. Food, drink and service were top quality as always!
Aidan Q — Google review
Absolutely delicious food. The menu was short, which to me is always a telling sign of quality food. The staff were attentive and came back to check with us. We had an issue with our order which was quickly resolved. My partner and myself have recently moved into the area and The Leopard is leagues above everywhere else we've been. The atmosphere and interior decor were top notch.

Beautiful place! Been following on Facebook for many months now and decided to visit a few Sundays back! I did not expect it to be as big and beautiful as the building is! I’m a sucker for beautiful, historical buildings with lots of stories to tell! Everything is classic and classy! The food is to die for. Homemade pub grub is my ultimate fave. I had the steak and ale pie with chips! I felt bad I couldn’t eat it all but I loved every bit I had! Decent prices too! Wasn’t too expensive for a last minute Sunday dinner out! Also had a little nosy around the restaurant whilst waiting for our food! We were sat in the little Post Office sorting room (sorry, my memory isn’t that great haha!) So much history in one room let alone the rest of the building! Service was also amazing. Super attentive and friendly team! :)
motherofcatsX — Google review
Steak pie was absolutely rammed with steak.. but that's it literally just steak, no gravy or moisture left meaning it was very, very dry. Chips were very good however but i could have had a portion of chips for a third of the price of the pie. The brookie desert was not available so had the cookie sundae which was good, not sure the popping candy went that well with it and didn't appreciate the empty popping candy wrapper stuck on top in the ice cream. Waitress seemed a bit grumpy on our visit. Apart from that the atmosphere was good and it seems well looked after. Accessibility was good through the back door once we worked out how to get in with a pram. Overall, would visit again but would not be having the pie!

Only went in for a pint with friends, who live in that area, and ir was a well presented pub with a good atmosphere

Great night out with friends to catch up over dinner and drinks. Very much a top tier for "pub grub" and Joules Brewery (based in Market Drayton) I had the steak and Ale pie (£16) whilst there's a huge variety of burgers from £15 to £20.
Wil Chung — Google review
Came here for dinner and had a really lovely time. It's a lovely building to be in, I've heard it's been refurbished and it really shows, such nice decor and really lovely areas to sit with drinks and eat. The staff were all very friendly, we came on a night where their card machines had gone down, they apologised but did warn before I ordered and luckily I had cash so all was good! I went for the steak chilli burrito. It was nice, although could have done with a little more flavour. I ended up adding some of my wife's fajita veg which enhanced it. The nachos that come with the burrito were really nice, very generous amount of food you get. My wife had the chicken fajitas and thought the chicken was fantastic, really well cooked. The veg was nice, although she found it a little weird that veg mix was a tomato base, not usual for fajitas. It was tasty, though, and had a good kick to it. Again, a generous amount of food and 2 very large wraps to make the fajitas with. We also had a side of curly fries, which were delicious! So, so moreish! I went for a staropramen for a drink, which was delicious. And my wife went for a South African sauvignon, which she really liked. Would recommend coming here. We will be back for sure!

Update: I gave this 2 stars a couple of years ago and was unlikely to return by choice ... however ... I did return (in a party of 8) last night, and it has improved immensely. New extension now means that it is a food place that serves drinks rather than a pub that serves food as it was previously. Love the Post Office lookalike room at the side that can be booked (see pictures). Menu expanded and now includes some more standard fare such as steak and a fantastic fish and chips. Service, was pleasant and fast, pricing is reasonable compared with other eateries in the same area. The new extension has been built with care and provides a quality addition to the pub. Can be a bit noisy when full, but to be fair it is really only the sound of people enjoying themselves so difficult to make it a complaint. Just beware if you are a little hard of hearing, there may be quite parts of the pub if you ask. Now a RECOMMENDED venue for food. The only downside is probably the car parking, but because of the enclosed area, I am not sure there is much they can do about that.

Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Deadwood Smokehouse is a restaurant specialising in barbecue food. The quality of the food is high, and it's reasonably priced. It's also great for drinks - they have a good selection of beers.
I had a lager, and a bacon and cheese burger with dirty fries. The burger was excellent, close to the best I've ever had, but the real revelation were the dirty fries. These were loaded with baked beans, chiilli, beef brisket and macaroni cheese. Truly an entire, and very tasty, meal all by itself. Unfortunately the ice-cream had run out, so I didn't treat myself to an unnecessary dessert. One note: the restaurant does not serve any sort of hot drinks, which is an unusual choice, so don't go expecting any coffees or teas.
Giles Williams — Google review
The food here is STUNNING - a must-visit in Nantwich. Meat literally fell off the bone and was divine. Was very quiet when we visited, didn't need to book (5:30pm on a Monday so not surprised lol) but they had 25% off on Mondays which was a welcome surprise. Staff couldn't do enough for you, just lovely and will absolutely visit again if we come back to Nantwich.
Jessica Pardoe — Google review
Loved their food. Their speciality is ribs and they were great. Would definitely recommend. Also had the best raspberry gin fizz ever.
Joan Takaindisa — Google review
Nope, that's a fail for me. 2 stars and not 1 because of the effort but my Philly cheestake had strips of fatty meat (the same for a homemade bolognese) instead of tender slices with a super soft tiny baguette that broke as soon as touched. The buttermilk chicken burger didn't taste of buttermilk and it was very little. My simple request about some fries was denied at first then we were greeted with a weird looking face from the bartender/manager which also pushed the ice on my cocktail nonchalantly with his bare hands. Food is passable, the hype too immense for a bad copy of some American staples, cocktails were diluted and with no real flavour let alone Any alcohol

After always going Hickory for my Ribs fix, I thought Id give another restaurant a shot and Im pleased I did! The Full Rack of Ribs was Amazing! Nicest Ribs I have tasted in the UK! If that you fav food I highly recommend giving them a try! Freind had Mac and Cheese and that was a bit cold but your crazy to go here for anything other than the RIBS! (I also recommend the JD Honey Glaze!)

Came here on a Friday evening and had a lovely time, with really great service, but a couple of issues with the food, hence losing a star. First time coming here and have to mention the staff are fantastic. Really friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. I had the chicken wings to start with the hot sauce and blue cheese dip. The wings themselves were beautifully cooked, really tender, and fell off the bone. The sauce, though, wasn't hot at all (at least not to me). I found it more to be a bbq sauce than a hot sauce as it had quite a bit of sweetness. I asked if it was the hot sauce, and after checking with the kitchen, I was told it was. They were still lovely, though, and I would order again, I'd just mention I like them hotter. My partner had the prawns and said they were fantastic! Really well cooked and full of flavour, one she'll definitely order again. For main, I went for the 1/2 roast chicken, which again was so well cooked, but the same as before with the sweetness on the hot sauce. I would order again, though, as the chicken (and the chips) were delicious. My partner went for the pork quesadillas, and found them to be nice for the first couple of bites, but then too much fattyness came through which led to them being too rich for her and meaning she left some and left her not really enjoying them by the end of it. For dessert, we shared the ginger sauce cheesecake and unfortunately found it to be very dry, chalky, and lacking in any flavour. The ginger sauce lacked ginger too, and we ended up leaving the majority of it. This dish we did mention to the server that we wouldn't get again as it wasn't very nice. We were kindly given 50% of it which we thought was very generous of them. Overall, the meal was very enjoyable, with excellent 1st rate service, and whilst it was a little quiet when we first arrived, it picked up and had a great atmosphere when we were leaving. The food was excellent mainly, with just a couple of niggles. Definitely recommend coming here!

Highly recommended. Eaten tasty beef burger after long time. We ordered two burgers; Chick N waffle and Diablo. If you want something sweet, then only eat Chick N Waffle as the waffle bread is too sweet.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was incredible. I normally order a burger when I go out, but decided to go for a change and ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, they were incredible, the meat melted off the bones, and the portion was HUGE. Incredible value for money😍
Leanne — Google review
Visited the smokehouse recently. Contacted made to they prior to the visit as I'm gluten free and vegan. Was I formed that they are able to provide a mean for me and they had a gluten free fryer which was lovely to hear. However, when my food arrived (salad and chips) the salad was just a large bowl or chopped up greens. No dressing no added extras. There was some thinly sliced cucumber and carrot which was the only flavor in the bowl. I eat a lot of salad and I enjoy green, but I was unable to finish due to the morning flavour profile and lack of dressing. I'm aware a smokehouse isn't designed for vegans but if you are going to offer a vegan option please don't insult us by just giving us leaves. We're not rabbits. The chips were nice, wish I had just had them.

Had lunch menu, great offer. 2 for 1 cocktails too on a Thursday. Monster burger was huge and tasty. The chilli fries were mild when I went so if you like heat tell them, I like mild. The ribs are tastier than at Miller and Carter. Portions are a good size. Service was great. Atmosphere of a lunch is quiet which is fine. The decor is gorgeous. Do love going there and really recommend. Parking is about 400 meters away if that.

I have heard a few good reviews of this place, even recommended by my nan. However I cannot bring myself to visit a place that makes my eyes sting when driving past! It's a hazard. The ridiculous lights were put up in time for Christmas, however OVER a month after, they're still there hurting my eyes and making it dangerous to drive into town which happens almost daily! My mum too is frustrated, as even her anti-glare glasses don't help the situation! Not impressed and will not visit this place👎
