Fabulous lunch , great atmosphere, staff super polite and quick, thank you Taylor . We had crispy beef and chicken skewers and the cauliflower, all absolutely divine , tasty and hot, suoberb chef , mulled wine warming in the background , lovely . My first time there but not my last . Thank you 🌸

Had Sunday lunch at the Cosy Corner on Easter Sunday. It was absolutely gorgeous. Every item on the plate was really tasty. The staff were really attentive and very pleasant. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend for a really tasty roast dinner. Amazing.

Fantastic food and service. We were advised they were busy and would serve us as soon as possible. Busy or not the service was quick and the food was top class. Will 100% be visiting again soon. The staff went above and beyond even on a busy day.
Have eaten here numerous times now and cannot fault it. We love this place. The food is simply amazing, have never had a bad menu item, most recently the beef croquettas were sublime, as we're the crab cakes.
The drinks are well thought out and made beautifully.
The staff are so friendly, and the lady who.seems in.charge of the servers is fantastic.
Everything would have been 5 stars but our two meals were served several minutes apart, also the coffee was not to the same standard as the food. But we would not hesitate to return. Lovely staff.
Popped in on a Sunday afternoon (unfortunately they'd stopped serving food) and ended up staying for quiet a few drinks.
Good choice of beers, wines, cocktails. Really friendly service, great atmosphere and good music.

Had Sunday lunch today 18th February 24 Absolutely gorgeous food !!!! staff very polite asked for extra carrots and they did just that every was hot except the room it was cold in there . We sat in front of the Bar and the Draft from the doors was cold on the legs . It is warmer towards the back by kitchen. Can't fault the food . We hope this helps the owners thanks
I highly recommend this place ! Food is amazingly tasty and flavored, meat, veggie or fish kind of Thai tapas ( but good portion, 3 is more than enough) short menu but perfect for quality . Cocktail are delicate and could stop mine ! Talking about staff and service she was awesome running for everyone but not forgetting anyone, advising and very professional ! :) nice atmosphère and cosy front of the sea. The best address of Porthcawl!

Food is excellent, and the options available frequently change. Good range of beers and wines.
Space is somewhat limited, I guess that's what makes it cosy.
It's dog friendly too.

Really FANTASTIC fish and chips here I don't ever remember enjoying fish and chips so much, definitely up there with the best ever..Would 100% recommend a visit to Beales when you come to Porthcawl. Little tip, try to get a table inside the restaurant as opposed to near the front door as the door doesn't shut properly and it's not so pleasant if it's cold outside. The staff kindly moved us to a warmer table which we were very grateful for. Very, very tasty fish and the most perfect batter ever. Can't wait to eat there again!
Certainly our go to Fish & Chips when in Porthcawl with a great classic look to the restaurant and great service.
We have been coming here for decades when we are in the area, whether that is holidaying as kids or holidaying with our own kids.
The restaurant has a very traditional feel to it as you enter and the staff are very friendly and helpful as they escort you to a table and give you your menu's. There are fewer and fewer table service places like this these days, so it feels nice.
Food is always top notch with the fish being hot, fresh and moist and the chips having a nice crisp to them with soft fluffy middle, always a treat.
Well worth a drop in if you are nearby, you will not regret it.
This is our go to chippy in Porthcawl. Never disappoints. Although on this occasion they didn't have my favourite Haddock but the Cod was lovely and white and the best batter around.

First visit to this restaurant and really pleased with it's hygiene and food. We were asked to wait, so they could sanitise the table for us. There was hand gel available for us to use. Service was excellent, staff took our orders promptly. We had our fish and chips very soon after ordering no hanging about. Food was lovely and hot. Will definitely visit again.
Had a takeaway fish and chips last night. Lately thought it’s not been up to its usual High standard. But last night was superb back to the best in Porthcawl. Tell summer’s arrived portions down s little.
Went here last Sat (12/08/23),with my wife, daughter and her partner. I didn't eat but the other 3 did. Food looked OK but it was a bit pricey. We ate in so maybe the take away part downstairs may have been cheaper?
Beale's Park Fish & Chips Restaurant doesn't disappoint when it comes to serving the BEST fish & chips that I have ever had.
Whenever I visit Porthcawl this is my go-to. Everything on their menu is fantastic, the prices are way below what you would expect from such a popular spot.
There will be queues on busy weekends but in all fairness they speed through them. The customer service is always lovely and applaudable especially during their peak times.
If you park in the massive Porthcawl parking lot the chippy is only a short walk from the beach, located just opposite a park and bowls green where you can sit and enjoy your chips.
The fish and chips are very tasty, great portions, and the service is great, but it is upsetting they serve tarter sauce and tomato sauce in little packets for dine-in rather than having bottles. Not only is it a hassle for the customer, but more importantly an unnecessary negative impact on the environment.
Popped here with the family today. The fish was absolutely delicious but would have preferred the chips to have been cook a little longer.

When you enter the shop you will be looked at like they don't want you there. Upon placing the order there is no direction of what a regular chips is for a serving size, but every chip shop I have been to regular feeds 2-3 people. The regular here is a single serve portion. The sausages are bought in frozen along with the fishcake and the chips were terribly undercooked. Extremely disappointed after reading some good reviews. But the staff there made my whole party feel like we shouldn't be there right down to how she went out of her way to place My change on the counter away from me tho my hand and counter by my hand were closer

Sent the wife in with £20 for 2 portions of fish and chips expecting change. Certainly wasn't expecting her to tell me she was short! I asked for them to go light on the batter which they did, sadly they also went light on the fish. It was more like a fish bite if I'm honest. First time I've ever had fish and chips and still been hungry afterwards, I'm not kidding!
Ordered 2 fish and chips. I didnt say small. The fish was tiny hence the photo with my finger for comparison. I only cut a tiny bit into the tail end. Spent £17 on 2 fish. They were tasty but very disappointed with the size.
Very nice food and super friendly staff, have been a few times. More expensive than central Bristol though somehow and portions are pretty small....small should be labelled XXS
Stayed the weekend in porthcawl and tried Finnegan’s on Thursday. Cod and chips was delicious, tasted fresh and good portion size. We enjoyed it so much we went last night (Saturday) and bought the same again. The cod was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. It was like a boiled solid piece of fish, no flakes at all and did not taste like cod. My partner phoned the shop and the staff member said the fish is cooked from frozen and he was sorry. Chips were nice like Thursdays but cod went in the bin.
£7.50 for a mince&onion pie and chips, £3.25 for a stone cold half battered sausage. Shocking prices and shocking quality. Only used this today as no where to park on the seafront, alarm bells rang when all the others were rammed but Finnegan's was empty.
Family takeout- prices are high and potion size was ridiculous. A £3 portion was barely enough for a kid that’s not an exaggeration. It got 2 stars because the sausage did taste nice. Chips were even very nice.
The worst fish I've ever eaten, I paid 12,75 lira and it's very small and it's raw and full of oil. I'm definitely not going back

Absolutely gorgeous food but it costs an arm and a leg! That's a given considering it's probably thriving off tourists and you definitely pay for the food being fresh. We had cod and scampi which were both cooked fresh whilst we were there. Totally worth the wait. Sauces cost extra (about 40p or so) - tartar sauce went great with the scampi. They also helpfully split a bag of chips into separate boxes for us with the separate fish items which was really helpful considering we were off to the beachfront to eat the food. Definitely recommend :)

Must have been a long time ago and they must have been taken over. The main young person serving me couldn't have been more miserable. The guy who cooled my cheese and leek rissole as a last minute order was the happiest person in there.

Food was nice i ordered the special fish and reg chips. And looked exactly the same as a normal fish and small chips. I seen the review club and got say mine was nowhere near what he had on there. There wasnt alot of batter on fish. Have say it very tastie but dont get the special stick to reg fish and save urself 6pound.
Rather confused at the other reviewers on Google as I absolutely loved it here. Food was delicious- did take a while to come but was stunning. Curry sauce was gorgeous! Fish was fresh and was amazing. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean. All in all a lovely experience and will be returning.

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly warm and attentive staff. Lots of smiles and relaxed but that did not mean slow in terms of service. The menu was a good selection but we went for the 14.95 two course menu. I can say it was very delicious, flavourful, the mussels we both had for starters were cooked to mouth watering perfection. Partner had the rump and described it st melt in his mouth. I had peri peri chicken. Full of zingy flavour and very tender. Meals came with roasted potato chunks in a separate serving dish, likewise with a selection of green vegetables.
We were both very impressed with the quality of the food and service here and will def revisit to try other items of the menu.

Steak. Braised beef. Salmon.
Apple pie cheesecake to die for. Lemon tart. White profiteroles.
And great wine.

My wife and I popped in to try their lunchtime menu offer and we were not disappointed. With starters of deep fried Brie and home made soup followed by deep fried cod with sauted potatoes accompanied by a lovely French wine they hit all the right notes. Well done to all the staff who provided a superb customer service during our time there. We shall definitely call in again to sample their wonderful food.

Found this little gem on a wet and windy Tuesday in Porthcawl and very glad we did! We had the 2 course lunch menu for £13.95 and it was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was delicious and a lovely atmosphere too.

Tried this place today whilst on holiday and I can say this is the best food I've ever tasted! the fishcakes are a must get on the starter, never tasted such amazing food! pricing is reasonable for quality of food! definitely recommend

We live in Nottage but called in while walking to the beach. We hadn’t booked for Sunday lunch but they fitted us in on an outside table. Great veggie option of nut roast and the veg was plentiful on the side. Very tasty food and the staff were friendly. We will most definitely be back!

3 of the largest lamb chops ever for my main. Food was absolutely delicious. To start I had the Fish goujons. The batter was light, fish soft and flaky and for pudding the waffle was to die for. Thoroughly recommend.

We turned up on Easter Monday at lunch time after deciding last minute to spend the day out near the beach so I searched for somewhere to eat online. The decor of the pub is lovely, the staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was fantastic. Great portions, lovely presentation, obviously freshly prepared and good value for money. The kids were well catered for on the menu too which is always a risk when going somewhere for the first time but there was a good vegetarian option so everyone was full and happy. Would definitely visit again.
Lovely old pub on the green, stayed at nearby Trecco Bay and visited the pub a couple of evenings with the dog on an evening walk. Didn't eat but the food I did see looked amazing. Very friendly and dog friendly inside too.

Had not been in the Jolly Sailor 52 years since a young lad with my parents when we used to go to Porthcawl in the caravan and we would play in the park opposite. Brought back some great memories.
A lovely pub, but I visited with my grandson and Ben my border collie in the pouring rain having walked 15 minutes from Trecco bay.
I could take my dog in one bar and I could take my grandson in the other.
We went to the Ancient Britton across the road where we were all welcome to have a beer in the same room.
Very warm, welcoming place. The service was excellent. The Sunday lunch was so full of flavour, generous portions and hot. The price of the food was very reasonable. I’ll be going back again.

Really friendly,cosy pub. Background playlist was the barmaid's own playlist (I asked) and every tune was a winner. Wood burner was on, beer was good, atmosphere relaxed and warm. Staff gave us recommendations for where else to go locally. Will definitely go back.
