To be honest I came here just for the salt ice cream and wasn’t disappointed. Only four stars because beyond the ice cream there wasn’t much to see or do, all the same I’d come back for that delicious opportunity to put salt on my ice cream without feeling weird.

(Translated by Google) Jike, Misakicho, Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture2023/10/26 A shrine near the tip of Oku-Noto on the Noto Peninsula is rumored to be a shrine-related power spot. The tip of the Noto Peninsula itself may be a power spot, but what's more, is the shrine enshrined there. So I decided to visit. If you change from the shrine where you enter through the torii gates along the sea, you can see the refreshing ocean view from between the torii gates. Some of the lanterns were left destroyed by the earthquake, but as you walk along the approach to the main shrine, you can feel the mysterious atmosphere of the shrine among the dense groves and large trees. The atmosphere further increases as you move from the moss-covered stone pavement to the stone stairs, and the main shrine appears. There was a splendid wooden main hall in the evergreen forest, and a treasure hall on the right, where some people were being guided. After paying a solemn visit to the shrine, I was amazed at the mysterious location in the deep forest, despite the fact that this is a remote peninsula and close to the sea. I went to the shrine office to get a stamp, but he was not there as he was showing me around the treasure hall. Please put the stamp of your choice in the stamped fare box. It is said that the great deity of the couple is enshrined here. Divine Festival: I decided to head to Kinbungu Shrine of Princess Konohana Sakuya. From wiki Visited on May 4, 2023. It was a nice and calm day. The shrine complex of Susu Shrine, which is designated as a natural monument, was also a very nice sanctuary with a mysterious and eternal history. There were multiple goshuin stamps, ranging from standard stamps to very cute dolphin stamps. There was a warning that it was written by an elderly Shinto priest, but the cuteness of the dolphins is so youthful that you won't notice it that way. Susu Shrine Shaso is said to be the forest surrounding this shrine. It seems to be about the approach road from the parking lot to the shrine building and the surrounding area. The person who donated the first torii around S47 was an elderly man in his 80s, who also donated two lanterns. Did he donate money to his hometown as a way of giving back to his hometown when he had only a few days left to live? I was also lost in thought. but…. Scenic spot
Nature & Parks
Rokkosaki Lighthouse is a charming, ivory-colored tower situated on a seaside headland. It's a well-known spot for both sunrise and sunset views, offering breathtaking scenery that captivates visitors. Finding this location can be challenging initially, as one must park their car in the large parking lot before crossing the street and entering a smaller street with no cars allowed. From there, a staircase leads to an uphill hike lasting around ten minutes to reach the lighthouse.
It is a very beautiful place, and the sunset here is just magical. ⁣ At first, can be a little tricky to find the exactly location, you must stop your car in a large parking lot (free) and then cross the street, and enter another smaller street (no cars allowed there). ⁣ From this point, you will soon see a staircase and just go up. ⁣ It's uphill, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the lighthouse.

Toll road rest stop
Visitor Centers
On August 9th, a visit was made to Roadside Station Suzunari. The store attendant exhibited pleasant demeanor and provided courteous assistance. An extensive array of mementos were available for purchase, including numerous handcrafted folk arts. This establishment emitted a comforting ambiance reminiscent of homecoming. Having previously visited in the past summer and intending to return this year, it has transformed into a remarkable rest stop along the toll road. It evoked feelings of nostalgia as if being in one's hometown.
This roadside station stands on the site of Suzu Station on the Noto Line, which was closed down. The station and part of the railroad track still remain, reminding us of the past. Located in Suzu City, which has been preserving the fried beach method of salt production for 500 years, there is a wide variety of salt available. There are sweets using salt produced in Suzu. There are also goods featuring an original character named Suzunari-san. The roadside station's standard soft serve ice cream comes in several varieties, including one made with locally grown pumpkin in addition to salt.Kabocha (pumpkin) soft serve ice cream is rare and precious. After the Noto Peninsula earthquake, it is no longer open for business but has become a medical institution.

There were also original goods on display, and although it was small, I felt that it was a unique roadside station. Other products besides those are also rich in salt, so it might be fun to compare the flavors. The establishment has implemented necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its customers amidst the ongoing pandemic. With a reduced seating capacity, Shōya-no-Yakata provides a serene atmosphere reminiscent of an old traditional house.
Loved the chill, laid back but authentic Japanese roadside eating house vibe. Had the sashimi set meal with chawanmushi, and the seafood was really fresh and full of flavour.. Overall ambience was good too, with staff quite attentive, but not excessively so. Bonus tip #1: for English speakers, you'll want to ask for Wadakiyomi-san, who speaks amazingly well enough to hold a conversation. She's really chatty too, and a joy to talk to, especially when she's free! Bonus tip #2: as you leave the place, cross the road to the other side and look to the left. There's a really nice waterfall (Tarumi Waterfall) that you can walk over to. I loved that the water just cascades right to your feet (before flowing further on to the beach just below you). On a hot day, the cold water is a godsend. On a cooler day, just standing back and admiring the falls is a sheer pleasure!

(Translated by Google) When you come to the store for Noto bowl, you can see that the upper limit of the number of seats has decreased and that you are taking proper measures against corona. When I ordered the Noto bowl and looked around, it had a calm atmosphere like the inside of an old folk house, and I liked it. The Noto bowl that came out was delicious. It's more expensive than other Noto bowls, but it's a dish I wanted to come back and eat again. The meat is so soft that it seems to melt in your mouth! I want you to try it! The atmosphere of the shop has a nostalgic feeling that makes you feel like you've gone back in time, and since it's close to the sea, the view is great. I will definitely go eat there again! Thank you for the meal!

(Translated by Google) We used it for lunch before the Oku-Noto International Art Festival 2020+ started. It's close to temperature check stations 1 and 2, and there's only one road along the coast, so you won't get lost. The space of the old folk house and the seats overlooking the sea make you feel like you've come to Noto, and the fish set meal was delicious (I think it was 1,650 yen). The grilled fish is a large flounder on this day, and there are various types of sashimi. Both the fish small bowl and chawanmushi were well seasoned. When I showed my art festival passport, I was able to receive a coffee service. It was a satisfying lunch for our Suzu tour. Udon noodle restaurant
Menya Sanuki NONCHI is a popular udon restaurant that offers delicious and authentic Sanuki udon. The noodles are known for their soft yet firm and chewy texture, reminiscent of udon from Kagawa Prefecture. The soup stock is gentle and refreshing, adding to the overall flavor experience. The menu features a variety of options, including the cold kakiage udon made with sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin, and burdock.

It takes time to boil from raw, but it was chewy and very delicious. The vessel was Suzu ware. (Translated by Google) It was a delicious restaurant. This is the first visit. I've been interested in it since the 2017 Oku-Noto Triennale, but the timing wasn't right, and this time I was able to fulfill my long-cherished wish. Parking space for about 6 cars in front of the shop. When the parking lot is full, you can also use the nearby roadside station Suzunari parking lot. The space in front of the shop is narrow, so if you are not confident in driving, it may be better to park in the suzu from the beginning. It was a little before noon when I visited, but as one might expect, the restaurant has a good reputation, and customers keep coming. As of July 2022, first write the number of people on the list inside the store and wait outside the store. After that, when the waiting space in the store becomes available, you will be guided inside the store. Orders are made using a ticket system, and after being shown inside the store, you purchase your meal at the ticket vending machine and wait to be shown to your seat. There is no need to hand the meal ticket to the restaurant. It seems that the order details are communicated to the kitchen at the same time as the meal ticket is purchased, just like the restaurants in SA on the highway. One man was mainly in charge of cooking, and one woman was mainly in charge of customer service and serving. The breath of these two people was perfect, and it was pleasant to watch, cooking and serving customers. I ordered the Toriten Udon (cold) topped with a soft-boiled egg. The chicken tempura udon originally comes with a soft-boiled egg, so I was told that the topping could be canceled, but I like eggs, so I decided to just have it. The udon noodles are beautifully arranged and smooth. The hot chicken tempura went well with the cold udon noodles, and it was really delicious. Moreover, the volume is also sufficient. I was at a loss for a large serving, but the normal serving was enough. In addition to the traditional regular holiday, it seems that Wednesday is also closed now. Please be careful if you are coming to the store. Next time, I would like to visit you during the cold season and have warm udon noodles.

(Translated by Google) I was shocked by the chewiness and chewy texture of the noodles, as if I was eating authentic Sanuki udon from Kagawa Prefecture. I am very satisfied that I can enjoy real udon without going to udon prefecture. The menu is abundant and you will want to go again and again. There is a roadside station nearby, so it is a recommended spot to go for a drive. There was a chalk-like menu on the wall of the store, and it was a space that made me want to take pictures here and there in the store. It was a very good impression with a clean and new feeling 😄 (Original)

Then, the seafood bowl I ordered was brought to me, and it looked bright and filled with lots of fresh and delicious-looking seafood. When I put it in my mouth, the thick red meat of the tuna was very soft and had a rich flavor. The combination of salmon and salmon roe was delicious, and the balance of the ingredients was so good that I wanted to eat it again and again. I could see that the people at the store were very particular about quality, and the quality of the products was excellent. Also, the store was spacious and clean, so I was able to spend my time there comfortably. The restaurant had a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. However, not only was it delicious, but it was also voluminous, and I was very satisfied. Highly recommended for seafood bowl lovers who can fully enjoy seafood.
