Located just a short 10-minute drive from the vibrant Porto Santo Stefano, Ristorante La Fontanina di San Pietro is an undiscovered treasure boasting a charming summer terrace with breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding hills. With its soft lighting, gentle breeze, and natural soundscape, this hidden gem provides the ideal setting for an enchanting dinner date, a delightful family outing, or a memorable meal among friends.
Beyond expectations…. Umberto is a great chef and a fantastic scenic terrace on mount Argentario. Argentario is my person getaway for the summer and the peace of this place and the great food make my vacation amazing and unforgettable every year. The beautiful sea and the sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea are an unforgettable experience

Enjoyed our meal so much that we returned again. Terraced outside dining area plenty of choice from tasty starters, homemade pasta, fresh fish and seafood and excellent steak and lamb. Wine list is varied and reasonable priced. Service is friendly and attentive. Fritto misto recommend with green salad and fried potatoes.

Nice atmosphere, great food. The spaghetti w with lobster and ravioli were awesome! And did I already mention the wine?

So good we went two nights in a row. The best meal(s) we’ve had in two weeks across Barcelona, Rome and Tuscany. Lovely setting with an eye to the sea or the hills, typical attentive service with thoughtful recommendations, excellent rustic Italian cuisine.

Fantastic experience maybe slightly too expensive for the food and atmosphere offered.

Delicious food, excellent service. The chef and waiter were very kind. Be sure to try their olive oil! 😍 🫒

Insulted for being a vegan! The place is very pretty but the service is the worst I have received in Italy. Avoid also if you do not like overpaying for average food and wine

Do not let the long walk or unfamiliar location discourage you, as the food and service at Trattoria a Casa di Paolo e Rosita are excellent. I had a delightful three-course meal with wine, thoroughly enjoying the genuine family-style service. The owner personally selects fresh fish from the market just the night before, determining the menu accordingly. It is truly a remarkable place offering authentic Italian cuisine and delightful service. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem!
Hidden gem! Husband and wife team who source the freshest fish for the menu. My personal faves are the totani and nasello dishes. Simple dishes executed to perfection. Triglie may not be suitable for kids as there are quite a lot of bones, but otherwise it tastes good as well.

Tucked away up a side street away from the town centre but well worth a visit. Traditional husband and wife run Trattoria, fresh, tasty and great value, fish is as fresh as it can be, pasta is homemade, Veal cutlet tender and perfectly cooked. House wines served by the glass, 1/2 lt and lt. Outside seating available but you will need to book in advance.

We had a perfect dinner at the trattoria a casa di Paolo e Rosita. The food is very fresh and honest home cooking. Give them a try. You won‘t regret it.

Don't let the extended walk or non tourist address put you off, the food and the service are wonderful. We had a beautiful three course meal with wine and loved every moment of the authentic family style service. The owner chooses his fish from the market just the night before, and the menu then follows. Wonderful place, wonderful authentic Italian food, and lovely service. Go!! Enjoy!!

Emailed at noon for a reservation. Get there at 7:45, nothing available and to come back at 9:30, doesn’t check his email. Come back at 9:30, get a table right away. Over 10 tables are full and only one gentleman serving/doing bills/cleaning tables. Definitely need another person to help. Had two seafood pasta dishes, nothing impressive. Very hot inside restaurant, sweating while eating the meals. Although good portions and good prices.

I went to this restaurant with my husband and daughter. We all were impressed by the honest Italian food, simple but incredible delicious! We were told we had to wait a while (because the restaurant was full) and we were glad we did. The staff works hard and is really friendly! Would we ever come back to Porto Stefano for sure we would pay Paolo and Rosita a visit again!!!

A family restaurant with very good home cooking. Reasonable prices. Non-touristy location so dont expect spectacular views but what fun to eat alfresco there.

I cannot understand the negativity surrounding Ristorante La Pinta as I have no clue about the negative comments. The vongole and seafood pasta were both excellent, and the service was outstanding with friendly and efficient staff. Having spent a considerable amount of time in Italy and dining at many restaurants, it is safe to say that some establishments are better than others. However, there seems to be no reason to criticize this particular experience.
I can honestly say that I have no idea what's with the negative comments. We ordered the vongole and the seafood pasta - both were superb. Service was great - staff friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We spend a lot of time in Italy so have eateb at many restaurants. Some are better than others - I see no reason to say anything negative about this experience.
Sharon Hook — Google review
Lovely staff, but the food was awful. The spaghetti alle vongole was full of oil and the vongole weren't fresh. The bread was stale and the gnocchi overcooked. It's clear that this restaurant is catering to tourists who don't know any better.

wonderful experience with the highest food and service quality and most gorgeous view. the best restaurant in porto ercole without a doubt… beware of the best staff ever —gabrielle, tito, and anna. just magical!

Very nice food, beautiful and quiet location out of the main car streets, pleasant athmosphere, definitely reasonable prices. We had various types of pasta with sea food and we absolutely loved all of them. Wine and dessert also warmly advised!

Sea food was fine, service so so, pasta and side dishes are bad. Price to performance relation was a catastrophe.

Osteria dei Nobili Santi, previously located in the green gardens of the Argentario Polo Club, has now moved to the Marsiliana area, about a 30-minute drive from Porto Ercole or Porto Santo Stefano. Despite the change in location, its spectacular food remains unchanged. The restaurant is situated in the middle of a golf course and offers homemade pasta of excellent quality as well as various fresh fish and shellfish dishes.
Beautiful setting on the polo field Virtually all seafood but the do have a steak off-menu if you can't eat seafood like me. Mostly locals. Friendly service!

(Translated by Google) Hello everyone The restaurant is located in the middle of the golf course. Finding it is not easy, but definitely worth it. My wife and I treated ourselves there several times in March 2015. The tourist restaurants in the area are almost empty at this time of year, this Qsteria is almost fully booked, almost all locals. All pasta is homemade and of excellent quality, fish, shellfish etc. is available in different variations and is also top fresh. Very friendly and competent staff. The prices are within the usual range, starters 10-15 euros, main courses 15-20 euros, wine 15-25 euros, water 0.7 liters for 2 euros, they didn't charge for the proseco and grappa. Trattoria Lo SfizioDa Leo is a relaxed fish restaurant with a charming terrace offering stunning sea views. The place is known for its exceptional hospitality and energetic atmosphere. The menu features creamy gnocchi and perfectly cooked fresh seafood, all expertly balanced in flavor. Guests praise the attentive service and the delicious seafood dishes, such as the Insalata del Mare and Grilliatone.
Despite the language barrier here we still had a very nice time! Thank goodness for smart phones so we could communicate better with our server! The food was very good and it was a nice, cozy atmosphere!

We had an amazing evening here! The service is incredible, and our waiter very patiently answered all our questions, made recommendations, and generally made our night. The food was good and the prices were also decent, and the ambiance is wonderful- we had a table with a window overlooking the sea! For appetizers, we ordered the seafood salad, which was tasty. For entrees, we got the seafood gnocchi (a fun take on spaghetti vongole), which was incredible, and the swordfish in tomato sauce, which was good (the fish itself not that amazing, but the sauce was great). For dessert we had the panna cotta, which wasn't that great and drenched in a chocolate syrup. The table next to us got creme brulee, which came on fire!! Overall, super nice vibe and service.
Olga Shestopalova — Google review
Very good quality-to-price ratio, every dish we ordered was very tasty, as so was their house wine. The service was friendly. Will come back when back in Porto Santo Stefano.

Leonardo packs a generous punch of generous energy and hospitality! His wait staff are exceptional as well. His gnocchi is creamy and all the flavours are balanced. His food has the perfect infusion and all the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. His food has a balanced palette and a simple amplification of flavour. Leonardo.... ! Let's open up a restaurant in Vancouver, BC, Canada! Thank you!

Amazing fresh seafood dishes!! It wasn’t comfortable staying at the table outside but could feel fresh air. Insalata del Mare was also full of seafoods. I loved the perfect cooking stage of calamari. And for the dish Grilliatone, I don’t even have to say any word. The picture shows :). Highly recommended.

We had lunch in this restaurant. The view and location is nice and the staff is working very hard. despite this, fish is marked as often being frozen and what we had for lunch was rather missing taste (caponata, gnocchi with shrimp cream, ravioli ricotta and spinaches). Good for a quick byte but not sure I would highly recommend it
francesca Tornaghi — Google review
Great Frittura di pesce, the gamberi in particular was fresh which isn’t always the case. Also their primi are very nice and generous we had the crema pesto pasta con cozze and it was so delicate. Their insalata di mare was so refreshing and with generous quantity. Prices are reasonable for a seafood restaurant and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that there weren’t many vegetarian options and even the basic pastas were very average for their price tag, so I would love to see a couple more well made veggie options.
