Seafood restaurant
Ice cream shop
Captain Frosty's is a small seafood shack that is famous for lobster rolls and fried clams. The burgers here are also very popular, and they serve soft-serve ice cream as well. The locals highly recommend this place after a day at the beach, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some good fried fish and chips.
I've gone to Captain Frosty's for years as occasions arise. Frankly, the building doesn't impress, in fact it's easy to miss, but who cares because the seafood is why you stopped there. Consistently tasty seafood. This time I stopped for the fried clams. Due to supply in our world today they were small (you get more) and pricy, but worth it! They satisfied my clam craving. The people were nice and efficient. Best of all they are open past Labor day.

Food came quickly, family friendly, generous portions, authentic Cape Cod feel, friendly staff, bathrooms were clean.

Captain Frosty's is a classic Cape Cod seafood shack that has been serving up delicious fried seafood and creamy soft-serve ice cream for over 45 years. The restaurant is located in Dennis, Massachusetts, and is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The menu at Captain Frosty's is full of New England seafood favorites, including fried clams, lobster rolls, fish and chips, and clam cakes. The seafood is always fresh and the portions are generous. The fries are also crispy and delicious. In addition to seafood, Captain Frosty's also has a selection of burgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches. There are also a few vegetarian options available. The atmosphere at Captain Frosty's is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is open year-round, but it seemed especially popular when we visited during the summer months. There is outdoor seating available and some of it is shaded, which is perfect for enjoying a meal on a warm day. The service at Captain Frosty's is friendly and efficient. The staff is always happy to help you choose the perfect meal and answer any questions you have. I know this, because after much consideration I chose Captain Frosty's for my first ever lobster roll. The staff member behind the counter was very helpful! Overall, Captain Frosty's is a great place to go for a delicious and affordable meal of fried seafood. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, and the pricing is great, especially for Cape Cod. I highly recommend.

One of my favorite places to get seafood on the cape! I came across this place by accident and I’ve been returning here ever since! I love the fried seafood here, but I always get the Grilled Scallop Bowl every time I stop by. It’s the perfect option if you didn’t want to eat something that was deep fried. There’s a ton of scallops and it’s a lot more filling than just fried seafood because it comes with rice and salad. I definitely recommend coming here even if it was just to give it a try. You can order ahead online if you don’t want to wait in the long lines
Briana — Google review
Great fish and chips. The seafood platter was excellent, not too greasy, fried perfectly and tasted amazing. So fresh, I marked this place as another favorite spot for quick bites. It’s easy to miss, make sure you are not driving too fast.

Nice place to get fish and chips. Nothing special,, but good non-greasy fried food.. wish the had beer to go with it. Love the outdoor seating and the "back porch."
Donna M Keefe — Google review
Don't sleep on Captain Frosty's. I tried several lobster rolls on The Cape and Captain Frosty's was the best. The onion rings are excellent. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. Fast friendly service...we will return. The outside seating is very nice as well.

I’ve been here a few times and have had a perfect experience every time! My mom and I have a tradition that the beginning and the end of summer, we come here to split a clam belly plate. The portion is huge and even comes with two clam cakes! We got extra cakes because we love them so much. We both were stuffed from just splitting this. So it’s perfect to share or have by yourself for dinner. We love our tradition and already looking forward to our end of the summer plate ☺️

$18.95 for fish & chips was a bit dear considering you are close to where the fish were caught and you don't get much bang for your buck, tap water is offered for free, self serve, but the cups smelled like dead fish inside of the cups when you were drinking the water which was very good except for that smell, one other thing is when they serve you your meal, they should bring a few napkins as well since I saw a few people rushing to get themselves napkins after they got their meals including myself...the hamburger plate wasn't too bad which is what I got...
Andy Roth — Google review
Such a great, cute little spot. Fresh lobster rolls, best ever onion rings and fantastic frappe’s. Highly recommend the stop - includes both inside & outside seating.
Valerie Vargas — Google review
Lobster roll was decent, not as good as I thought it would be. Not much meat for $22. Chowder was good.
andy clarke — Google review
I am a local over here in Dennis. I live about four houses away from where Captain Frostys is located. I have always went there for food and ice cream now I am very disappointing. I will never go there for ice cream ever again 2 cups like this for 15 bucks they are flurries. I’d be better off going to Dairy Queen and getting a blizzard and getting my cup filled like it should be not weighed and ridiculous for the price I’m paying especially being a Dennis local ALL my life!!! Very Disappointing

Seafood restaurant
Sesuit Harbor Cafe is a well-known seafood restaurant on Cape Cod that offers fresh baked desserts, lobster rolls, and picnic tables by the water. It is open seasonally and daily for breakfast and lunch.
Everything was sooo good.. the chowder was the best I had in the Cape, the lobster was amazing, sword fish was perfect but def not cheap though so come prepared. Cash only. Very popular & sunset was beautiful. Some bugs so bring off spray.
Pete Garcia — Google review
😋really good options for a lovely summer brunch with friends Lobster roll was delicious and quantity was plenty. Prices might seem expensive? Well they are on the menu… You order at the counter, go outside with your receipt and number and the crew will bring the food to you. Pet friendly, easy to reach, large parking lot, great view of the bay
Marco da New York — Google review
What a wonderful place, I would recommend it to everyone! We have been coming here for years. Food is always fresh. Service is great. The location is amazing, near water. Please bring your own beverage and enjoy lobsters, fresh oysters, grilled fish and scallops (these are our favorite). But, please plan ahead as this place gets packed very quickly.
Svitlana Brodka — Google review
This cafe is right on the water and is a beautiful place to eat. Most of the food is either fried or raw. They have their own raw bar which I didn't try this time but I'm sure it's good. I has fish and chips which was amazing! The fish was so flaky and juicy and the chips which were french fries were some of the most crispest flavorful fries I've ever had. In order to get your food, you wait on line to order your meal and you receive a ticket with an order number on it. You sit down at one of the outdoor tables and someone come around and call out your order number until they find your table. When you see them, let them know where you are so they can deliver your meal to you.
Michael Petrizzo — Google review
Fantastic seafood! My family loves the lobster rolls, onion rings, and fried scallops. The lobster rolls have giant chunks of lobster! The outdoor tables overlook a small harbor. The restaurant is so popular, you’ll wait a while in line to order, and then for your food. Customers can bring their own drinks too.
Christy L — Google review
We stopped by on a Saturday evening a little after 7 pm, and the line was wrapped around outside. We ordered right around 8. It is cash only with an ATM inside. We got our food around 830 and were able to find a table to sit at outside. It is dark to eat outside, not external lights, really. The food was 100% worth the wait. It was expensive but it was also some of the freshest lobster I've ever had! (And I have eaten a few). I love that it is byob and they have corkscrews and cups of needed.
rebecca kohalmi — Google review
Lobster roll has the largest pieces of lobster I've ever seen! The clam chowder is great too. Be prepared to stand in line, have cash only, & clean off your own table. Views are beautiful!
Tammy Punter — Google review
The line is worth the wait. We both got lobster rolls with french fries and Cole slaw. It took about 20 minutes in line to order. Then you wait at the picnic table to have your food delivered in about 10 minutes. Friendly staff. Nice crowd. Nice marina and harbor view. Fun ambiance. Very pricey, bring lots of cash. No credit cards!!! Well worth it.
Mark Lillis — Google review
It's worth the wait. The line moves quickly but plan on waiting a good 40 minutes or so for your food at peak times. If you're fortunate enough to snag a table by the water, you won't mind waiting. And once your food arrives, it'll all be worthwhile.
Demetrios Kanavaros — Google review
Everybody said they it was the bet lobster roll so we needed to try it!! It was a great experience, the rolls are super tasty and with a lot of lobster. You can only pay with cash but there is an atm inside. Highly recommended!
Mafalda Ramos — Google review
As far as finding a place with some of the freshest and best prepared seafood on the cape along with a view that isn't easily beaten... This is the place. It can be a little confusing to a first timer, but believe me this place is really worth it. From parking, to ordering to receiving your order this place is a well oiled machine. They do amazing. If you get nervous about long lines, don't... Here, as long as you know what you want, it's all a great experience.. Fast parking in a small lot, accurate order taking by a friendly employee to the point when your server calls out your number you won't be waiting long. Huge servings with top ingredients prepared for you by experts makes this a must go in my opinion. It's mostly market price, but they do have a wide selection of meals. It's great for a couple or a whole extended family dinner. Please make sure you tip, these people are working their butts off in some pretty hot weather. Sorry I didn't grab any photos of my lunch, it arrived and I couldn't stop eating my fried clam roll with fries. Before I knew it... It was pretty much gone and I was full.
Mark Byron — Google review
Fantastic seafood and portions. Best lobster I’ve had since moving to the US. It’s quite windy so for those with long hair, bring something to hold your hair back or it can get frustrating. Family friendly, pet friendly. Cash only, there is an ATM on site.
Priscilla V — Google review
Always the best! Amazing cold lobster roll with plenty of lobster, crispy fries and tasty coleslaw. We love eating outdoors by the water with gorgeous harbor views. You cannot go wrong with a lobster roll from Sesuit. Go during the week for shorter lines.
Heather M. — Google review
Best lobster rolls ever! They're just perfect, the right amount of mayo, tonnes of lobster and a little celery! I ate mine too quick to take a photo! Byob and a great atmosphere, don't miss it!
Steph Lopes — Google review
Perhaps one of the best seafood spots you will ever find on the Cape! We visited Sesuit Harbor Cafe while on the Cape for a weekend soccer tournament and this place did not disappoint. Though the parking lot sparked a bit of fear that lines would be long, the line moved rather quickly as we made our way to the counter. The only downside of the restaurant is that it is cash only and though there is an ATM right next to the counter complete with a less than friendly service charge in this day in age it would be nice to grab a digital POS and save customers the hassle. We ordered lobster rolls which, hands down, were some of the finest that we've ever had. Absolutely stuffed with fresh lobster meat, the lobster roll was a fork and knife short of sandwich and did not disappoint. The kids opted for the fish and chips which featured perfectly battered, flaky white fish and delicious fries. While waiting for the main course, we did opt to grab some oysters and shrimp cocktail from the raw bar where a nice variety of raw bar items were offered. The oysters were fresh as can be and the shrimp cocktail were plump and enjoyed by all. The restaurant is situated right on an inlet and is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy a great meal. Plenty of diners took advantage of the BYOB nature of the spot and enjoyed the quality food, waterside dining and nice weather the day we were there. All around, a great spot that is certainly worth checking out!
Kevin Bligh — Google review
Get there early! BYOB and BYOS(unglasses)! Chicken fingers are awesome and lobster portions are large! Beautiful views, yet on sticky picnic tables. Fellow patrons are always friendly and kind-the place just brings smiles to everyone's faces!

Ate at Sesuit Harbor Cafe for lunch one day and breakfast the next….. highly recommend stopping there if you are in the area. Lobster roll was incredible and breakfast was great…. And you can’t beat the view. Remember to bring cash

Located on the Old Kings Highway in East Dennis, The Ice Cream Smuggler is a popular seasonal ice cream stand that has been serving homemade ice cream for over 40 years. They offer 27 flavors made daily in small batches using top-notch ingredients. In addition to traditional and vegan options, they also serve pies, cakes, and a variety of cones including sugar, cake, and waffle varieties.
VERY DELICIOUS ICE CREAM at a very nice location In lovely East Dennis, MA. : ) Most of all, I so appreciate the very cheerful and kind people who own this special spot! I live in Connecticut, and I always look forward to getting my yearly ice cream treat here!!!! Be sure to stop and support this great local business if you are in the area. 🍨😊

Found this place searching google for ice cream places near me. All homemade flavors. The Hot Fudge is the best we have ever had. 1st time we had traditional hot fudge Sundae’s. I have to say nothing traditional about these. Wayne had his with homemade vanilla I had mine with homemade butter crunch. Yum Yum Went back last night and they let us do our Sundae’s with two different ice creams. The owners the staff are amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is fun super clean can’t wait to go back next year.

Best ice cream on the cape and the staff is so friendly this year I ordered a cake for my moms birthday and it was delicious I would reccomend this place to anyone who asks

Best ice cream on the Cape!!!! 🍨
Armando N??ez — Google review
Long lines but moves fast. Ice cream was fantastic! Creamy and tasty. Different flavors to choose from. Also had sugar free ice cream for those watching sugar intake and was some of the best tasting around.
Sandra Mitchell — Google review
The ice cream itself is good and there's plenty of seating, but the lack of samples when they have even slightly unique flavors (which they do) is a turn off. That, and the obviously unforgivable sin of an ice cream parlor not having sprinkles! No rainbow sprinkles? No chocolate sprinkles? Not even in the building?! What's the point of even getting ice cream then!?
Jason Howeth — Google review
Homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors new and old. Various toppings ways to eat it. Wonderful service. Bring cash though!
Jonathan Wimberly — Google review
My husband loved the hot fudge sundae!! He thought it was the best he had ever eaten. I had the espresso oreo (vegan) and it was so tasty and delicious. The owners were so kind and helpful. Recommend this place 👍
Dawn Lavoie — Google review
The ice cream is amazing at Ice Cream Smuggler, I would go back for that. I wonder if they make their own hot fudge, it was the best I've tasted. But, hours were til 9pm, and we arrived at 8:30 on a chilly night, only to have the staff put all the chairs atop the tables while we were on line for our ice cream. so we had to sit outside, which was not that pleasant. If you want to close at 8:30, close at 8:30. But don't close up the inside while you are still open. The counter staff was also pretty humorless when I tried to connect.
Holly Strutt — Google review
This is a great place to take the family for ice cream. They are very allergy conscious as well. It is our favorite on the cape and we drive past others that we have tried because it is so good here. The service is always super efficient and kind. I started in line outside and had ice cream within 15 min. It has been our tradition to go here for the past 4 years and will continue to be.

Fantastic, homemade ice cream. I had a peppermint stick ice cream on a chocolate, sugar cone 😋 🤪 Wow!! My Aunt had chocolate frozen yogurt with almonds and said it was super good! Super friendly staff, everyone had smiles on their faces despite the large amounts of customers in and out. I highly recommend this ice cream spot after a beautiful day at any of the lovely beaches ⛱️
Sunshine SideofLife77 — Google review
The ice cream was pretty good, but I wouldn’t go back as I don’t enjoy being nickel and dimed. I ordered a double ice cream in a cone, as well as a kittie cup for a dog, and I asked for some peanut butter sauce on the side, as my ice cream was in a cone. Multiple people jumped down my throat at once to tell me, they would not give me a side of peanut butter sauce because it’s too expensive. I confirmed they understood. I was simply asking for peanut butter sauce to be in a side dish since it couldn’t be poured on top of my ice cream cone. They refused to give it to me, told me it was too expensive to sell like this. Pretty disappointing considering those two ice creams cost over $13. I went to pay and was then informed that it was cash only. Would’ve been great to know this going into the store. On my way out, I found a piece of computer paper hand written stating in cash only as the only piece of information to let me know I needed to have cash. I expect better from Cape Cod ice cream stores.

Delicious home made ice cream. Generous helpings. Very friendly help. A yummy and excellent stop for anyone who likes ice cream.
Larry Krainson — Google review
I stop here whenever we travel to the Cape. I have to have their hot fudge sundae. I know vanilla is vanilla but their homemade vanilla is best I've had. Top it with that delicious hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry and there's your classic hot fudge sundae ala Ice Cream Smuggler. And they are one of the few that still do homemade orange pineapple. The young people at the counter are always friendly and efficient.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Inaho is the best Japanese restaurant on the Cape and its chefs make early morning trips to Boston's fish markets for the freshest seafood. The restaurant has a sleek minimalist dining room with a soothing ambiance. The sushi specialties are some of the best in the area, and Inaho also offers sashimi, tempura, yakitori (grilled skewered meat), and other Japanese fare.
The only place you need to get sushi from if you are on cape cod. We eat here at least once a month and we absolutely love it, food quality is top notch. Recommend their special “Sophia roll”, stuffed jalapeños, banana tempura, California deluxe hand roll and basically anything you get from their menu you won’t be disappointed!
Madelaine Spalt — Google review
Scrum·did·dly·ump·tious (adjective - INFORMAL) extremely tasty; delicious. Need I say more, the pictures speak for themselves. Everything from the drinks to the dessert - Scrumptious! Very happy customers! (Toro tuna, eel, yellowtail, salmon sushi, Sophia roll)
B C — Google review
Saying this place is the best sushi on the Cape is saying nothing. Rude owners, mediocre food at best. Sushi is not even that great compared to what’s out in the world, but if you’re easily impressed then you’ll probably enjoy it and the pretentiousness that abounds here. Never have I had a smaller portion of tempura in my life and expensive! Chicken teriyaki was cooked to a dry, leather texture. Inedible. I will never step foot in here again. Perhaps others lucked out thus the great reviews, but I’ve been here 4 times and I never leave satisfied or feeling good about the food, portions, price, waitstaff. Reason I went 4 times was due to other people I was with wanting to try it and me trying to give it another chance.

We were seated immediately (we did have a reservation). Or drink order was taken fairly quickly and was just right. Or sushi was amazingly delicious. The scallop sashimi was an other-worldly delight. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. We very much look forward to dining there again.

Excellent sushi! Call ahead or get there. Early place gets extremely busy with a line out front. Great sushi bar plus booths and tables. Sushi was outstanding, fresh, tuna, and scallops. I had the double dragon roll and spicy scallops and roll, excellent..

Very nice authentic Japanese restaurant! Had the salmon collar which was very generous in portion for only $10 and a sushi/sashimi combo that had truly excellent fish—tender, tasty, some of the best sushi we’ve had in the US (apart from super pricey places). The owner and sushi chef is Japanese and very skilled. Staff were friendly and the ambiance is good. Highly recommend the seafood here!
Brendan — Google review
My first time dining here and the food and service were great. The octopus wasabi appetizer was the only dissatisfying dish- mostly because it was too oily and really could’ve used some rice. Excellent mushroom soup as a special. Overall great (although a bit slow) service and food. I’m only giving 4 stars because I felt the ambiance was lacking with tables really close together.
Tara Jill — Google review
Fresh sushi and sashimi!! Their tempura made us miss Japan!!! Food were all authentic!! We were lucky enough to walk in without reservation, but you may want to make a reservation!! There were so busy even though it was Thursday night.

We had an amazing birthday dinner. The presentation was really good. The beets salad was awesome, very delicious, sushi is the best, the banana dessert is really good, our waiter is from Bulgaria was really good, much attentions to details and very good service. Thank you.

4.5 star: Food are delicious and taste very fresh. Tempura is done right (my 2nd place tempura restaurant in MA). Vegetable hot pot exceeds my expectation and wish they have a bit more broth in them. Sashimi and sushi tastes fresh and great. Their orange dragon maki tastes great. I also ordered their house salad but forgot to take a picture of it. Their house salad tastes all right (no wow factor). Restaurant is understaff when I visited last night, so service is a bit slow (unfortunately).

Service was spot on, dinners were just delicious-- needless to say we will be back and will bring friends! Oh, and they give you each a complimentary baguette to take home!!

Very good quality bread. Got a loaf of sourdough to go. We bought ham and cheese croissants, chocolate croissants, savory scones, and some coffees. All were delicious! We will go back for brunch tomorrow! There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant so it is somewhat difficult to find a space at busy time.

The meals and bakery goods are outstanding here. Our party of three were very pleased with our meals and take-out. The atmosphere and decor is nicely European. We did have concern with the cleaning practice of one of the bussers but the overall experience here was good and fun. Recommended.

Not excellent but probably the best restaurant in the area. I didn't like having dinners and lunches here but breakfasts are usually okay.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to so far in Cape Cod. For the appetizer, I went for the fried duck. It was really moist and tender from the outside & crisp on the outside. For the main course, I went for the scallops with saffron risotto, and it was truly the best one so far. So creamy, so flavourful and up to the mark. This place is actually quite expensive than what I thought and we were a group of 6 people , so went spent around 30-40$ per person and their ambience is really fancy and they also got a good wine collection if you love drinking wine.
Ishan Pai — Google review
The food was delicious and our server was very knowledgeable about the wine list. The baked oysters were perfectly cooked, and the amount of garnish was spot on. The King salmon and scallop entrees were also perfectly cooked, not at all dry or tough but with a good sear on the outside. The beurre blanc on the salmon was very nicely balanced and flavorful.

Delicious croissants, Devine Almond Croissants, and awesome Ham and Cheese Pastry. Also bought a loaf of fresh bread. Update - came for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. We both had the French Onion Soup. He had the Fish and chips and I had the Quiche Lorianne. Our server Bruno was friendly and awesome. The food was outstanding.

We had such a lovely bridal shower in their beautiful private event space. Chloe was so accommodating and made everything we needed available. The event overall was so nice - the food, atmosphere, and staff were incredible. Everyone was so attentive to our guests. Their event space is perfect for a family gathering, bridal shower, baby shower, or even a small wedding. Would highly recommend it! We also frequent the bakery and restaurant which are always wonderful.

I feel like I’m in NYC/Paris here. The decor is gorgeous, the staff is attentive, the oat milk latte and the earl grey I had were great. Extra shout out to the waitress Kathleen! Thanks for making sure my order was exactly perfect! Also, they have free wifi without a password and they seated me at a table with an outlet upon my request. Clean bathroom and good music. Sufficient parking too.

My husband and I have been to this establishment on numerous occasions and even though we had a drought of a few years since visiting, everything has been exceptional as it was the first time we set foot here. The food is outstanding. And the staff is completely knowledgeable but everything on the menu and how to pair a wine with your meal. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!

After having their cranberry/pecan bread in a sandwich at a local eatery I really looked forward to buying a whole loaf. What a disappointment. I don't know if the small size loaf had anything to do with it but it really tasted old. Last cranberry loaf on the shelf purchased at 1:00. FYI: The parking is limited. While it is easy to pull into a slot it is horrible to exit. Personally I found the noise level to be too loud. Maybe 50% full but we had to put our heads together to hear each other.
