American restaurant
Mad Minnow Bar & Kitchen, located in Harwich Port, is a popular local establishment that offers a diverse menu featuring seafood and craft beers. The restaurant also serves cocktails and has recently introduced outdoor seating options. Despite its small size, Mad Minnow doesn't take reservations, which may pose a challenge during peak hours. However, patrons have raved about their cornflake-crusted filet-o-fish sandwich and the delightful key lime pie.
Went as part of an after- wedding brunch. Food was well prepared and delicious. They kept the selection to basics and it paid off. Everything was great. A few drinks were available and not overdone. Seating bother inside and out so weather is not an issue. Prices moderate and staff super nice. Great place for a late breakfast early lunch or afternoon repast.

Small seating room but luckily has bar and outdoor seating. Really like the down to earth casual vibe. Drinks are awesome, different but with a classic vibe. Every meal option sounds good and need to come back to try more. Not a leftover in sight - Mad Tuna, Lobster Carbonara , Chicken Sandwich and Scallop Roll

My husband and I came here after a search for a place to grab a drink (we were only in Harwich for a night). It was fairly small inside, but because we arrived after the dinner rush, we were able to grab two seats at the bar immediately. The bartender was friendly and made great drinks; and, we ended up having a piece of key lime pie and an appetizer. All of it was delicious!

We went here on a whim. To be honest I wasn't expecting to be as in love with this place as I am now. The food here is out of this world, a great meal. I ordered a lobster roll hot and buttered and it was delicious. They didn't skimp on the meat for the price so I was thoroughly impressed. For me though it was the FRENCH FRIES that brought it home. Normally I only pick a few fries to go with my meal. But their fries were crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and with the perfect amount of seasoning. I had a cocktail that was made very well. The alcohol was well hidden and the perfect drink for a meal. We will be back here for sure.

I had the buttermilk fried scallops. Light. So tasty. A dinner companion had the tuna. He said it tasted good. Beautiful presentation. Tony our server had a great personality. Great dinner experience

Doesn’t look like much from the photos, but some of the best food we had while on the Cape. Loved the scallops and gnocchi.
Rebecca Matlock — Google review
Aren’t you supposed to put vodka in a drink calling for vodka? Fish sandwiches: thimble amount of coleslaw, very fried portion of what was probably a frozen patty-one would hope fresh fish on the Cape. Place charges a credit card surcharge. That’s why the tips were smaller than usual. Fool me once..,

We really can’t say enough about this place. It is so good, so consistent. We’ve been over 20 times probably and have never had a bad meal. The bolognese and scallops and gnocchi are our favorites! The service is always amazing and we love what they’ve done with the outside. It’s a casual and lively atmosphere. The owner is one of the other things that sets this place apart from the rest. He is so kind and cares so much about his business and it shows. He is always there with a smile and so welcoming. We’re huge fans! ❤️

Just gettin' back from my Harwichport romp!! Pulled in to the Mad Minnow for some suppah. Absolutely awesome Cape Cod Risotto!! I had already dug in afore snappin' a pic so THEN, it was warranted! Not to mention, the wicked cold Buds... Staff members have Personality Plus. Had some fun with each one in contact. The Hostess was very nicely dressed for her position. Although, She WAS rockin' some extremely awesome Hightop Kicks! And soon, I realized why... A.) They were just cool. B.) Gettin' her thru that gravel floor of the tent for each seating, as I followed to mine, instantly made SoO much sense. Kudos Young One!! PS: I do hope my suggestion with the S & P Grinders, is taken under consideration. You both KNOW, it made sense. Ahhhhh..... Dining AL FRESCO made for the perfect outdoor evening. There was even a bunny peekin' in under the fence. And lastly, To the Bahtendah: A Weihenstephaner please... I can't point... She'll get it. 😂😂 Thank You, MAD MINNOW, for a delectable & fun dining experience! See you again soon!

Wowie! Incredibly tasty and beautifully presented plates well worth their pricetags. Well-sized craft beer selection. Had the F.I. Salmon and mom got Scallops n Gnocchi. Both were well cooked and utilized all flavors of the dish in harmony. Bohemian cocktail was crisp and refreshing with its fresh lime and hint of grapefruit. Staff was pleasant and attentive even during the bustling dinner rush in August. Would highly recommend for a fancy family outing or date night. Arrived around 7pm and had a 45min wait.

Stopped without a reservation after a long drive and got a nice table for 1. Clam chowder was awesome start and the fish and chips was well worth ordering. The batter is more like seasoned panko which was a nice change. Excellent service!

Very kid friendly and family oriented atmosphere, with delicious food and a great selection of drinks. They have both indoor dining, with tables and a bar area, as well as a large outdoor patio area with picnic benches and comfy seating. The staff was extremely friendly!

Went for an early dinner. The location is right in downtown Harwichport and convenient to the local parking lot. The restaurant has outdoor (first come/first serve) seating and inside seating. The menu is somewhat small but covers all the bases. The prices are quite reasonable for the location. The waitstaff is super friendly and accommodating. The food we served fresh and was delicious. Only negative, and it's small, it is can get quite noisy with the music playing and people talking. Great exeperience.

Great place to go out for food and drinks our first night in Harwich. It was only a 5min walk from our beach hotel and only had a short wait. The atmosphere was casual but nice, and the food was great. We had the shrimp ravioli and fish in paper, both great. And the outdoor sitting g area looked great at night.
Nicola Kahale — Google review
The best dish we had was the tuna poke cannoli (I think that's what they called it). The lobster on the lobster poutine, was overcooked and the fries were very soggy, though, if done properly, it has potential. The clam fritters on chowder was good. Next time I will try an entree.

If you're looking for a delicious Italian meal that will leave you feeling content and relaxed, Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse is the perfect choice. Enjoy dinner service that begins at 5pm year-round, and choose from a variety of authentic Italian dishes. Plus, the restaurant has a classic yet cozy decor that will make you feel right at home. If dining out isn't your thing, you can even order your food to go!
We absolutely loved our experience at Buca. Our waitress and the staff were incredibly friendly. They have a great selection of pastas, something for everyone. We had the veal chop served over pappardelle, and the shrimp and sausage with pappardelle in a spicy marinara. Both dishes were amazing. Really nice, chic atmosphere inside. And for dessert we finished up with some raspberry sorbet and cappuccino gelato. Excellent selection of cocktails and beers.

Very nice dining experience. Marty was a gem at the reception desk at getting us a table when we had failed to make a reservation. We loved the rocket salad.

As difficult as it is to get a reservation at the last moment, planning ahead works. The owner, Martin, is both a tentive host, and an organized, hard working, generous gentleman. Be sure to meet Joe at the bar. He is an amazing and a charming guy. The wait staff is both knowledgeable and professional. But the food and the atmosphere is why I keep going back, never a disappointment. While your there, be sure to ask the staff for your copy a charming heartwarming mementos of your time at The Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse by purchasing a framed limited edition print of the original painting, or the original painting itself! Artwork created by yours truly, Sedona Summer.

The service was impeccable, the staff were top notch and the food can not be spoken highly enough. It has been awhile since I have had really good Italian food that was fresh, seafood and pork were perfectly cooked. The dessert menu is all amazing. Be sure to order coffee as well. I can not recommend this place enough. We had a party of eight, including kids. Everyone had eaten all of the food they could eat.

Some of the best food on Cape. Never disappoints! I come for the excellent service and stay for the food. Joe, Matt, and Martin are the BEST. Favorites: the rocket salad, veal piccata, tuscan herb crusted grilled pork chop, boar bolognese.

My boyfriend and I were guests of good friends of ours. My first time eating in but they'd been there many times, and for good reason. I had the veal parmigiana and it was the best I'd ever had, anywhere. He had the eggplant, also to die for. Parking can be challenging and you'll often need a reservation, but do all you can to eat here. The wait staff are so attentive, too, knowledgeable and unforgettable. You won't regret it!

Fantastic service and atmosphere. I can’t overstate how friendly everyone was. The appetizers were amazing and I’d highly recommend the Buratta with tomatoes and fresh bread. The chicken parmigiana was a bit dry for our liking, but great otherwise. Definitely worth making a reservation and checking out if you’re in the area, as it was highly recommended to me by a handful of locals and I can definitely understand how it captured their hearts & stomach!

My fiancé and I were there last night for dinner and we wanted to stay the whole night. The food and atmosphere were incredible. Felt like we were in Italy for the 2 1/2 hours we were there for. We come to the cape a couple times a year and will definitely be going here every time we come.

My husband and I were there for the first time on a Tuesday night for my birthday, the ambiance was excellent! The server was wonderful and very patient with me considering I'm a very picky eater. She definitely made my night feel special and I got everything I wanted and the way I wanted it. Thank you for your service and I promise not to be as difficult the next time we return. Thank's again for a lovely evening 😊

Last night we went to Buca’s and had a fabulous experience. I would consider this to be one of the best restaurants we have on Cape. Our server, Omari, was excellent—so attentive and pleasant. The menu was intensive and included multiple delicious sounded specials for the evening. We had fun over ordering starting with incredible Aransini balls with lobster in a vodka sauce, Burratta, garlic bread and mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. We also shared a romaine salad that had a very special dressing and was grilled. All apps were perfectly prepared and delicious. Following the apps, we had the shrimp scampi, Gorgonzola in a cream sauce with pappardelle and chicken parm. Everything was wonderful, especially the chicken parm. The wine list was very extensive as well. Lastly we barely had room but managed to finish with the house special dessert (chocolate raspberry torte) and the dessert sampler. We also had the chocolate martini and Italian wedding cake martini. Surprise surprise, all was delicious too. Truly. Also, everything was perfectly paced, we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for a wonderful fine dining experience from start to finish, this is the place.

Absolutely incredible restaurant! I travel around the country for work, so I tend to eat out a lot, and I try to find at least one upscale restaurant on each trip I take. This place is easily one of the top five restaurants I’ve been to. I came on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but I managed to get a seat at the bar. I had one of the veal dishes and a glass of wine, both of which were excellent. Service was fantastic, the wine list was extensive, and the atmosphere was very cool. I would highly recommend, and if my company ever overnights me in the area again, I’ll definitely be back.

If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I would. It's been a while since I've been back to Buca, but wow what an amazing meal I had here with my family. I was so hungry that we ordered a ton of food so I'm glad I got to try so much. My favorites of the evening were our 3 main courses: the bolognese, the merluzzo, and the saltimbocca. Everything tasted really different from each other and were all so delicious. I would order any of them again in a heartbeat. The bolognese sauce was rich with flavor but even as I was getting full, I felt like I could have kept eating more and more. The merluzzo (cod with papardelle) was extremely light, and combined with the pasta and the tomatoes made for an excellent bite. The saltimbocca was the perfect amount of salty with the veal and the sauce it came with (of course, also with pasta). We ordered the arancini and cheesy bread to start, as well as the insalata di rockett salad. I loved the arancini (it had lobster in it!)—very crispy and I could not get enough of that vodka tomato cream sauce with it. The cheesy bread was also everything I could have asked for and more. The salad however, was the true star. The lemon basil dressing it comes with is addictive. We asked for the recipe, but unfortunately the chef wouldn't give it out—they only gave the ingredients. Nonetheless, I would definitely order it again. So in short, an amazing meal. No wonder it is so difficult to get into this restaurant. I hope to come back again this summer!

Let me start off by saying that I did not make a reservation to this restaurant because I’m not from the area and did not know how popular it was, however, the staff manager was more than welcoming and made sure to find a spot for my girlfriend and I on her birthday. Although it was a very busy night the ambience is romantic, intimate and quiet for the most part, the staff was very attentive and service was relatively fast and friendly. The food here was very flavorful, from the bruschetta appetizer we had, to the chicken parmigiana and the bone-in rib eye, and the special pound cake dessert at the end. In other words I had an amazing experience here with my girlfriend on her birthday and would like to commend the staff for making it possible. I would definitely recommend anyone to have a nice dinner here with their loved one.

Totally blown away on how good the Grilled Veal Chop with fig glaze was. My wife had ordered this and although my scallops with homemade pasta was awesome (second photo), I’d get the veal next time. Perfectly cooked and the pappardelle pasta was just perfect. We’ve tried a lot of restaurants in the Cape Cod area and for some reason never bothered coming here. That’s a mistake! Next time your in the Harwich/Chatham area do yourself a favor and visit Bucca Tuscan Roadhouse - you won’t be disappointed! Forgot to mention that the staff there is TOP NOTCH & very friendly.

Seafood restaurant
Cape Sea Grille is a restaurant in Harwich Port, Massachusetts, that specializes in creative and carefully sourced New American cuisine. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with tables set up in candlelight and fresh flowers. The menu changes regularly and features seafood from local sources.
Drink was Bad Seed cider from NY - I liked it! Started with the Warm Braised and Roasted Fall Vegetable Salad - AMAZING! Entree - Seared Long Island Duck Breast - Perfectly cooked! Compliments to the grille cook, Nash Figlow! Watched the bartender make a vast array of perfectly delicious drinks. Owners are friendly and committed to fine service, dining & experience. Thank you for an awesome dinner.

Service was excellent. Table for 4 in quiet nook of main dining area. Excellent drinks. Duck confit appetizer with pecan/pear/beet salad made an excellent dinner. Cod entree and gourmet meatloaf plus squash soup were also enjoyed. Warm pecan tart with ice cream and chocolate bread pudding were outstanding. A wonderful experience!!

Great atmosphere. Just went for dessert and drinks. The dessert was excellent, but the service at the bar was lacking. My wife finished her glass of wine and was never asked if she wanted another, and I ordered an espresso but never got it. Will try again for dinner sometime in the future as the food looked delicious and the wait staff were very friendly. Must have just caught the bartender on a bad night.

The restaurant was overwhelmed and sat us late for our reservation . After 1 hour and 15 minutes they came out with one appetizer at a time which were not tasting good. The entrees were not even out at 1 hour and 45 minutes at which time our party settled the bill for what we ate and left. Very disappointing!

It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious and our server, Alex was wonderful. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to talk to. We had the sea bass special. So good....

One of the if not the nicest restaurant on the entire cape and islands. Excellent food and excellent service. Ingredients that would likely never even be featured on a menu elsewhere prepared with skill and care. There is a reason this place is frequently listed among the best of the best.
Dan Rogers — Google review
This was a very enjoyable dinning experience. Probably the first time that I have ever had gourmet meatloaf, which I highly recommend. The service was excellent and our party thought all the entries were superb. The reason that this isn’t a 5 star review was the deserts of which we had several different ones, were mediocre at best.
Lawrence Haber — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants on the Cape. You can often judge a place by the bar tenders' knowledge, and they have have it in spades. The food is top notch. Many choices of sea fare , not just cod. Corn meal fried oysters were incredible.

Good food. French style. Nice setting with white table cloth and napkins. Good wine list at a reasonable price. One of the safe place for quality food on the Cape.

The Cape Sea Grille is an upscale spot that has yet to disappoint. This is not your typical lobster and chowder joint that caters to the masses (Not that I don't also love those spots too). But if you are looking for fresh local seafood along with other dishes prepared with flair and a truly professional staff that is super attentive please put this on your must-try list. The gazpacho appetizer is really a great way to start but remember to save room for dessert as well. Cape Sea Grille is easily located on beautiful Sea Street right off Main Street (Route 28) and has their own parking lot. If you have time before or after dinner, take a walk to the Town beach located at the end of Sea St.

Hostess greeted us with a very stern "you're early, we will have to seat you closer to your reservation time" (MANY empty tables, including the one we sat at -- we arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation). The staff seemed overwhelmed, even when we arrived but we let it go. We sat down and our drink order was pretty quick. Waitress took our appetizer and meal orders and then we waited... and waited... and waited... our appetizers came to the table - about 40 minutes after we ordered. Then we waited for dinner, that never came. 1 hour and 40 minutes after we sat down and we still didn't see our dinner. We finally got up from our table and asked where dinner was. This appeared to annoy our server, as she quickly came to the table to ask us if we were displeased that our dinner was late. We definitely told her we were displeased. We were then told that our dinner order wasn't timed properly. HUH?!? Then, even when our meal still wasn't on the table, we were offered a third round of free drinks. Seriously, make us drunk cause we are not happy. What a terrible approach. Our meal never came to the table and we ended up just asking for the check and leaving the restaurant. I think it was the owner, finally came out to see what was wrong and started to profusely apologize. I was thoroughly embarrassed and just wanted to leave the restaurant. She sent my husband home with part of our meal. I won't be eating it. What a terrible experience. I sit home, hungry... truly surprised that this establishment is loved by so many. This was our second visit, our first wasn't very memorable either... We won't return. (check out the other negative reviews that explain the same exact occurrence - the service here is just plain inconsistent...)

Very nice place with great service and great food. The fried oysters with avocado and pepper were delicious (picture). The swordfish and the key lime pie were good. It's not really a seafood restaurant, but a New American restaurant that serves both fish and seafood, and steak and other stuff.

Mooncussers Tavern is a bar with elegant decor and a restaurant specializing in martinis, tapas, and New American fare. The atmosphere is warm and candlelit, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The food is delicious, with salmon and date pasta as a particular highlight. If you're looking for a romantic dinner out, Mooncussers Tavern is definitely worth checking out.
Went for a NYE dinner to Mooncussers Tavern and was delighted by the experience. The dining room was charming in the candlelight and the hostess was quick to seat us, despite our arrival earlier than our reserved time. Our entrées arrived quickly, and were delicious, I with the salmon and my date with the steak. We enjoyed the ambiance and light playing of French music in the background. I told my date, it felt like dining at Le Ratatouille. The service was very attentive without being in our faces. We would highly recommend for date-night, and won't soon forget our dinner at Mooncussers Tavern.

Pretty good food. Waitress was great. Eclectic crowd and interesting atmosphere. Not what you may think of for a "normal" set up or lay out in a restaurant. Different seating areas, bars etc... sort of a mix of a pub feel but with higher end food.

One of the best Cornish hen dishes I've ever had! Good beer with affordable prices for a night out with my wife. Three drinks and two entrees for $100! I'd definitely come back for this meal if I was back in the area.

Great old tavern with wonderful _real_ wide pine floors (30 inch?). Good service from professionals. Although, the kids working there need some polish. The menu is interesting, but there is not much I would choose, wife a daughter like a lot more items. Burger with added duck fat??

A couple of negative things. Food was very average. Steak and fries, substituted mashed got a $2.00 upcharge. Also, not a big fan of menu suggestion of a 6%-20% additional tip for kitchen staff. Pay them, not my responsibility.

Great atmosphere and staff. Meal started wonderful and apps and salads were delicious. Entrees were also very good (outstanding burger, tomahawk Chop and Salmon), except salmon was heavily salted to the point, one of our guests could not complete. We politely mentioned to our waitress who said she would let kitchen know. She did mention that the food can sometimes be over-seasoned for some palates and in the future recommended we ask for “light salt”. Will definitely go back and be mindful of the salting!

Food is amazing. Very high quality, with great flavors. I got the steak frites and my wife got the salmon. We also shared the garlic shrimp appetizer. All very good. I took my family here based on the good reviews I saw online. They didn't disappoint. The owner quickly sat us at our table and brought us water. The waitress was running around but came to the table and said she would be right with us. She had worked at the restaurant for many years and was helpful with recommendations. We were a table of 5 and every dish was amazing. No complaints from any of us. I highly recommend if you are in the area to check it out.

Sundae School is a classic American ice cream shop that has been serving homemade ice cream since 1976. With three locations on Cape Cod, this beloved creamery has received accolades and is known for its creamy and delicious ice cream flavors, including special concoctions. The flagship spot in Dennisport features a hundred-year-old marble soda fountain and old-timey ice cream memorabilia.
Great creamy tasting ice cream. Maple Walnut ice cream is amazing. They have 2 locations nearby each other. Today I am visiting the Harwich location. The other location is 3 mile from here at Dennis Port. Each location has a large parking lot and plenty of seating outdoor. They also have tent at their outdoor seating. The Dennis Port has also a large indoor seating. This location is cash only, I am not sure about the Dennis Port location. ATM is nearby at Cucumber Farm. In the summer time mostly long line forms.

Overall a great experience for ice cream and other delicious treats/choices. 🍦👍 They were very creative with some of their options. The flavor was good. We were vacationing in the area and just happened upon this place and being vegan, I wondered if they had vegan ice cream, so we checked it out. They did, indeed, have vegan selections, so we got some. It was pretty good. High-priced for what you get, but at least they had something I could order, unlike most ice cream shops, so high marks for that. Big parking lot and it was pretty crowded, but we found a spot. Waiting in a long line with no social distancing and no one wearing masks but us and maybe two other people. Sad, but the whole area is like that. We got our ice cream and sat far away from others. So a decent evening all in all. I'd give it two stars for everything, but it gets three because it had vegan options.

Sundae School serves awesome ice cream with a wide variety of flavors and add-ons/toppings that are just plain better than what you might be used to getting. The whip cream is real and it was instantly a hit with my wife. We loved everything we got, and we wished we had known it was going to be this good so we could fit in another excuse to get out there on our trip. The only negative is that it's cash-only; however, there's an ATM outside the building ($3 transaction fee).
Chris Pelley — Google review
Decided to try this place based of its notoriety, and given the name I had to order the Sundae. I think I made a mistake and didn’t custom tailor as figured it would knock my socks off as is (given the price...$7.49 I believe) and it was mediocre at best. Sundae school is certainly worth a stop while on vacation, and I will try it again, but nothing about the ice cream stood out. The facility and staff however were top notch!

Great traditional ice cream but seems like service needs to tighten up! All orders are taken from memory, and sometimes often forgotten, and ice cream cones are poorly packed in so they often fall off. Hopefully some improvements are underway!!!

Ice cream is good. The cost per size seems a little off. Other places do give more scoops for the same price.
