Very kind and helpful staff. English is limited so please download a google translate app to communicate with the staffs. The cultural center showcases artefacts from WWII as well as post war Okinawa. It is an interesting visit. You might also ask if there is an English guide available for your visit to the Haebaru Bunker # 20. The cultural center is reachable from Naha Bus Terminal (about 30 mins by bus)

Really great inside. Actually came to visit the hospital cave which was closed due to Covid. Ended up in here which gives a great amount of information of the past since and after the war

(Translated by Google) It was very good to see the history of Okinawa from before the war to the end of the war, the history of immigrants in Haebaru, and the lives and events of Uchinanchu from before they were born until they disappeared. The Haebaru moat was also nearby, so I was able to learn about peace, which was very nice. It's worth going once. (Translated by Google) Visited for the first time four years ago. The contents of the book ``Memoirs of people who visited Himeyuri Tower'' were shown in a concrete full-size model, which warmed my heart. After watching it for about two hours, I was moved to see if wars like this could have been stopped. I was very impressed with the facility. Although I was alone in the ruins of trench No. 20, I was grateful for the detailed explanation that I had and the opportunity to tour around it. My grandfather, a 35-year-old medic, was killed in action on May 12, 1945, in Kyan, on the main island of Okinawa, so I was moved around the entire mountain, wondering if this was probably the hospital trench in Kyan, Haebaru Town. I received it.

Art Museums
The Bokunen Museum showcases works by the renowned artist and printmaker Bokunen, housed in an original red-roofed building. The gallery on the ground floor is free to walk through, offering a beautiful space for viewing and purchasing his art pieces. Visitors can also watch a short video about the artist's creative process. For a fee of 800 yen or credit card payment, visitors can access the museum upstairs to admire Bokunen's artworks on a grand scale.
Beautiful gallery and gift store on the bottom floor which is free to walk through. The gallery has a short video to watch the process of the artist. The works are for sale as well. To go upstairs to the museum is 800¥ and worth the price to view his art works and the scale he worked on. There is also a spiral stair case that leads to an overview of American Village beach. The signs are in Japanese. The art is absolutely stunning. 800¥ for an adult. Takes credit card and yen. Plenty of parking in American Village.

Pretty good art museum, the downstairs is free, but the upstairs is ¥800 per person. The art I saw in there ranged in years from 1969-2022. Pretty cool.

Nice display of vibrant, colorful works from a local Okinawan artist. The exhibit upstairs was closed at the time, but his usual work was a nice representation of his style in general. And the museum shop had some nice trinkets like well-designed chopsticks and cute tees for kids.

Great art by a great artist who is a local superstar. If you like woodcuts, bright colors, flowers and seascapes, this is your guy. Recommend checking out the second floor if you can. Highly affordable prints that will, let's be honest here, look a little classier on your trip home then that Orion Keychain.

A very nice museum and shop highlighting the wood block prints of Okinawan artist Bokunen Naka. Really enjoyed the works and there is a wonderful view up on top of the museum (take the spiral staircase up). A great stop for art in the otherwise touristy American Village.

This place was wonderful! The service people are super helpful and full of information. You should definitely make an appointment. It's not necessary, but it gives you the time and space if you can't read Japanese.

This place is a goldmine for those, serious about researching the history and culture of Okinawa. Limited English is spoken so, it's best if, you speak Japanese or have someone accompany you as a translator. The staff are very helpful and patient in assisting visitors. In less than two hours, I departed the facility with, months worth of information; more than, I have gathered in years of researching the Ryukyu islands.

We were happy when this place opened up near hour house. It's a great stop for fresh, locally grown produce. There's a good selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have some of the lowest shipping costs to send mangoes to friends and family.

(Translated by Google) This time of year, Kugani Market is full of Irwin mangoes. If we're going to eat it ourselves, there's no problem with cheap mangoes in a pack, but I think any of the expensive and cheap mangoes will be delicious in terms of weight, appearance, and taste. When the surface of the mango becomes smooth and the aroma comes out, it's ready to eat! If the mango is fresh and has just been harvested, a white powder-like bloom will appear on the surface of the mango. If you are sending it outside the prefecture or bringing it home, I think it would be a good idea to choose one that has bloom. The season starts about three weeks into July and ends quickly. I bought a 2L size mango and ate it, and it was incredibly delicious! Everyone I sent it to had almost the same reaction lol (Original)

You can buy not only mangoes but also many other things. Even at JA's market, the prices vary depending on the location, so it's cheaper than buying it normally, but this time I bought it at Yomitan's "Yunta Market" because it was over 10% cheaper.
