Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibina is a retail center in which customers can find various brand name stores. The mall provides a large parking area for convenience, although much of it is not covered. While some staff members may be forceful, they still offer assistance in a courteous and amiable manner.
Great outlet mall with ample parking. Reminded me of outlet malls in the US. Majority American/foreign brands but you can find good deals, especially for holidays like Golden Week

Visited this mail while on a 5-day holiday in Okinawa. The store selection is reminiscent of a good outlet mall in the US, combined with duty free for tourists, a weak yen and Asian sizes, makes it an ideal shopping destination for branded goods. Enjoyed all the food trucks scattered around. Worth visiting.
Wee Khim Lee — Google review
Outlet listing a few international brands. The tax-refund counter is upstairs, which is an extra step for those stores that cannot refund directly. Lack of good restaurants to dine after shopping is not friendly too. However, there's shuttle bus to go to the mall complex next door.

Nearby Okinawa Outlet Mall, there was train station supermarket which sells souvenirs and food! They also accept credit cards as well! Here, we bought our breakfast of spam/egg/seaweed sandwich, rice ball and Georgia coffee for 550 yen. Apparently, the spam sandwich (also known as Spam Onigirazu) is particularly popular in Okinawa – probably due to the American influence. A great perk-me-up in preparation for the shopping expedition. For more details, visit 2bearbear today!

This outlet is located near the airport which makes it a great spot to spend some time before or after a flight. Outlet has a good mix of stores for everyone!

Many outlet shops are available with great discounts. It is located very close to NAHA airport and suitable for shopping before flying back home.

It’s alright. But from all the malls I have been to in Japan it’s at the bottom of the list. There are some of the „regular“ stores missing, like Nike. Also the setup is a bit dated. The food court wasn’t all that great either. If you are just in Okinawa I guess it’s fine. But if you are around Tokyo or Kansai you should go to a outlet mall there!

This is the place that my dear family loved. It's a place I've visited over and over again with my father and mother. Especially my mother loved this place. She loved going to the coach's brand shop and buying new bags every time she came to this place. It looked very fun. Now both my father and mother have died. It's a place of precious memories for me. I will continue to visit it often.

Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibinaa is a large shopping complex that offers a wide variety of brand-name stores at discounted prices. The mall is well-organized and clean, with ample parking available. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transportation. However, the selection of stores can be hit or miss, and the prices may not always be as low as expected. The food court is decent, but there are limited options available. Overall, Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibinaa is a decent option for those looking for brand-name bargains, but it may not be the best choice for those seeking a unique shopping experience.

The outlet is not that big but just enough for me to do little shopping and walking. There’s not a lot of people there but it’s a good to pass by if you have time

Great shopping experience, loads of brand name stores with a huge parking area. Don't go on a rainy day, most of the area is uncovered. Some places the Staff is a little aggressive but still helpful and friendly.

Tsuboya Yachimun Street, also known as Tsuboya Yachimun Dori, is a serene cobblestone street adorned with traditional earthenware workshops, charming cafes, and a pottery museum. The street is home to unique workshops that have been crafting traditional Ryukyu-era pottery for generations. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls and window shopping while admiring the vibrant and skillfully crafted potteries on display.
There were many shops and cafes, which were selling foods and ceramicwares of good quality. It's quite an interesting place.

Streets are so beautiful here. You really get the feeling of old traditional Okinawa. Downside side is the shops are all about same and aimed for tourist who want to buy pottery. Not all come from Okinawa so ask shop keeper before buying. Bought some nice gift here though so all in all pretty happy I went here.

Randomly came across Yahimun Street and it is amazing! So many small traditional Okinawan pottery shops offering all kinds of styles. If you go further into the back alleys you will see the actual pottery makers at work. Great for a light stroll and window shopping. A must!
Steven DiGiacomo — Google review
There are many pottery and ceramics shops around. Most of them have same kind of mugs and teapots but some have very unique designs. The prices are high but if you want to buy a Japanese pottery this a right place to go for.
Guzide Duranoglu — Google review
This quaint Okinawan street housed many shops which showcase the craftsmanship in pottery, glassware and brass/bronze ware. It’s a nice place to explore and shows a different side of the busy city, which tends to have more shopping and eating to do. These photos are taken of individual shops which are different in character and style. A treat for anyone interested in pottery!

Short walk from Kokusai-dori. Plenty of pottery stores. A speciality in Okinawa. Beautiful pieces. Prices are high though. Not that crowded on a Sunday noon. Great for a casual walk. Worth a visit if you have the time.

Came for the festival and most stores had items at 20% off! It's a small street with a lot of shops and cafes. I thought the ceramics sold here were unique and not items I have seen in every place! I really loved how each shop carried their style.

Wonderful and enjoyable spot to visit if you love pottery. You can spend more than an hour or so just viewing the different pottery shops. There are a variety of styles ranging from cute and modern to more traditional designs and glazing techniques.

Naha Airport (OKA) serves as a gateway for both domestic and international flights, with regular arrivals from various Asian destinations. Located in Naha, it offers convenient access to the city center through the Okinawa Monorail, also known as Yui Rail. The airport is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes away from Tokyo by flight.
Welcome to Okinawa! Arrived during the flower carnival in late March, there are so many display of beautiful orchids, greeting arriving visitors, along the path to baggage claim area. Lives is slowing down here, contrast to busy Tokyo metro. In March, weather is still a little chilly but it won't deter visitors who seek for warmer climate. Lots of children to come with parents. There are many shops that sells local goods to visitors to bring back home as gifts. Definitely has to buy them when leaving the island!!!!

(Translated by Google) Although it is surprisingly small, An airport that feels like it has everything. The monorail that is directly connected is also easy to understand. This is an island that has been famous for a long time. After all, the price is cheap. 20 minutes to town for less than 300 yen. OKINAWA or NAHA etc. I was expecting a signboard in the arrival lobby... Such a welcome sign is a sign with the customs (country). Is it because there is a facility jurisdiction relationship? Everything is sober. The Okinawa soba on the first floor of the airport is delicious. Voices of local people.

A clean and organized airport located in Okinawa. It has a few eateries and souvenir shops. There is also a food court located inside the airport serving mainly Japanese meals. The food court is not very spacious and the queue can be long during peak timing.
Ting Ting — Google review
Small airport so the distance to terminal gates are short, restaurant options scattered about but very few once you pass security and free wifi. One minus is that there are only 2 bathrooms for the Japan Airlines departure terminal... with sooo many people streaming out of arrival planes and directly into the restrooms I can only imagine the level of cleanliness is not to normal Japanese standards. But if you love fighter planes the view is great! The Japanese fighter jets share the same runway as the normal commercial airlines.
Steven DiGiacomo — Google review
For a medium sized airport there are lots of eating options and different shopping facilities here. Definitely a lot to occupy your time. One thing that was frustrating was a lack of money changing facilities within the airport. It's actually not a bad airport to enter Japan from overseas as customs and immigration are usually quick and painless here.

The airport has been improved significantly from last 7 years. Domestic and international zone section are now connected with the indoor walkway. Interior design and flower 🌸 enhance the overall vibe. The only complaint is “why we have to walk from international to domestic in order to reach the rental car bus stop.

Naha Airport is new and extensive that housed both the Domestic and International Terminals for flights in and out of Okinawa Honto or main island. There many directional signages to help visitors navigate around. And, there are lockers for temporary storage of baggage and stuff, a lot of restaurants to cater for different taste buds, and lots of shops for last minutes shopping, too. The boarding of the free shuttle buses to take customers to the car rental garages of Times, Toyota, and many others are located on the ground floor at the far end of the Domestic terminal. The shuttle buses are lined up across the inner road and can't be missed. It is a long walk, though, with lifts and or escalators to take upon arrival and exiting from the International terminal. You will need to allocate adequate time for that, and in case you are lost along the way and may need help to guide to your desired pick-up point. It is in the same direction to the car park area and boarding of taxis and buses. My wife and I were fortunate and blessed to navigate ourselves to reach the pick-up point to catch the shuttle bus to Times Car Rental, where we had a car under reservation. It was a short ride to the Times Car Rental garage, and is similar for the other car rentals, which are located around the area that is easy for customers to return the rental cars and given a ride back to the Airport, where there are various transportation options available to choose from. The Yui Rail connects to the Naha Airport Station and is an easy and convenient transport to Naha City. There are many directional signages leading to and from the Naha Airport Station, with vending machines where you can select English for purchase of tickets to different drop off points in Naha City. The prices of tickets for different locations are displayed on the board, too. The ticket price is reasonable, as well. We paid 300 yen each for the ticket from Makishi Station to Naha Airport Station, whereas the cost by taxi was 1,500 yen that we paid for our ride to Hotel JAL City Naha, after we had returned the rental car at Times Car Rental. The check-in for International flights is located on the third floor and you take the escalator down to the second floor and turn left to join the queue lined up for Customs and Security Screening. Unless you are far ahead with lots of time to spare, head straight to Customs. In our case, the queue was very long, with the Customs and Security officials seemingly unable to cope and appeared overwhelmed by the sheer number of visitors exiting through the two security scanners, thereafter. We observed there are passengers who are likely to miss their flights given the long queue and under estimating the required time to clear. There are still many shops around after exiting the Customs and Security, including washrooms and water dispensers to fill empty bottle for the flights.

The airport is constantly being expanded, so it will be more convenient in the future. The lounge is small but comfortable.
K Hasebe — Google review
Big, many shops and restaurants but old fashioned and boring. Nothing unique. The best thing about the airport is the access to/from the central area, which is very good thanks to the monorail. Although there are many shops, they just sell the same things... Lounges missing windows.
Traveler — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Naha Airport in Okinawa, and it was a surprisingly delightful experience. The airport's smaller size and vibe brought back fond memories of my hometown, Kailua Kona, Hawaii. It was a nostalgic and heartwarming feeling right from the start. The food options at Naha Airport were a standout feature. Each outlet seemed to serve dishes that were not just delicious but also reminiscent of the flavors of Hawaii. I was particularly impressed with the great ramen, musubis, and Okinawa rice. It's not often you find airport food that reminds you of home and is genuinely tasty. The staff at the airport were friendly and helpful, contributing to the overall positive experience. An added bonus to our journey was arriving on a themed plane based on one of my favorite shows, "Demon Slayer." This unique touch made the travel experience even more enjoyable and memorable. From Naha Airport, it was about a 60-minute journey to our destination at the Ritz Carlton, where we celebrated our anniversary. The entire experience, starting from the airport, set a fantastic tone for our special trip. Naha Airport may be smaller in size, but it definitely left a big impression on me with its charming atmosphere, great food, and friendly staff.

Nice mid-sized airport. A good amount of shopping for a smaller airport, with some variety, it has a bunch of lunges if you have the status to get in, there’s the most electronics charging capability I’ve ever seen, at every seat, quick and easy security, helpful staff all around. The fifth star is for the ease of public transportation—the monorail comes right to the airport, and it goes all over the city, and you can come here on a regular day or two pass, they don’t mark up the cost for the airport.
Mira Serrill-Robins — Google review
Even though the airport is quite small compared to other Japanese airport, the whole experience was really nice. It was tidy and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. There were not many souvenir stores in the airports but most of them came with a wide selection, which was really handy before taking the flight.
Roy Chan — Google review
Quite a nice airport for flying. The signage is simple, and it's easy to find your way around. Some of the entrances are blocked and won't allow you to get in and out. I was trying to reach to my friend since I left something as his vehicle after I gone into the terminal for my departure flight he had a tough time getting back to me since I could not get out on the street to locate him when he was driving by. Aside from that, there are quite a lot of restaurant convenience store 23 and game shops around to entertain yourself before the flight. Also, near my boarding gates, there was a portion of the seating area with quite a lot of charging station, so it was very convenient for me to charge my phone as well as my portable battery.

Former Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters, also known as Kyukaigun Shireibugo, is a significant historical site located in southern Okinawa. This 450-meter-long tunnel complex served as the headquarters for the Japanese Navy during the intense Battle of Okinawa in World War II. Situated about four kilometers south of central Naha City, it stands as a preserved tribute to the victims of this battle.
Very interesting museum where you can learn how the Navy fought in Okinawa. The tunnels that were used at the time is partially open to the public and parts are still closed. From the route you can see the closed off parts and it shows how narrow and low the tunnels used to be.

Great way to see and learn about the Battle of Okinawa. There is a museum you can look through. Then walk into an Underground tunnel that has been well kept. The price to enter the tunnel is very reasonable. A must see if visiting or even new to the island.

Very educational & inexpensive. Some parts of the tunnels were closed to the public. It was pretty neat to learn about how it was constructed & how the army used it. But also sad learning the history behind it

I visited this place and first thing you learn is history! Perseverance! Resistance! Dying for something bigger than yourself, Patriotism! You will see brave men and women who fought for the people of Okinawa! Taking first step underground will Take your breath away! Its sophisticated tunnels constructed by hand and pickaxe (I posted a photo protected by glass and showing a pickaxe I found in this tunnel) is beyond imagination! History says 4000 people piled up inside hiding from the enemy in ww2 battleground. Commanders end their own lives rather than getting captured by the enemy! After you visit, You will find reasons to believe that war should be avoided at all costs!!!

My son and I came here and explored this wonderful piece of history. The cab ride was a little far but I expected as much, considering it’s a former military installation. Everything inside was fascinating, my son had fun running around and exploring all the different rooms.

If you're interested in delving into the history of WWII in Okinawa and experiencing a serene and peaceful atmosphere, there's a place that comes highly recommended. It serves as a reminder of the past and highlights the significance of peace. The site's presentation effectively maintains its neutral stance, leaving a lasting impression on visitors. It's an unforgettable experience that truly showcases the resilience and determination of the Okinawan people. For those with a keen interest in Japanese WWII history and the remarkable efforts made by the locals, this destination is a must-visit.

Due to restrictions I couldn't go inside. I was impressed with the whole park and the monuments outside. There are multiple playgrounds and a view point. Will be back to walk inside the tunnel. -- the tunnel is reached by going through a building and down the stairs. Free parking inside the park area. Costs yen to get inside.

Great exhibits showing the strategic significance of Okinawa in the region which led to the severe battles and suffering brought on to its people. Definitely puts you in a somber and reflective mood. It’s a bit small and the upper floor is quite stuffy without AC when I went. The tunnels are really nice. Expect to spend less than 2 hours even if you stop and read all the panels and descriptions.

It was well worth the drive. It really gives you the depth of horror that people faced during a battle between two countries. Moreover, it shows how war has no boundaries. Peace over War LOVE

Underground military administration base constructed during the war between Japan and the US for the islands of Okinawa. The entrance to the base lies on top a hill inside a park. Prior to entering the tunnels, you would be shown an exhibit of photos and memorabilia from before, during and after the war - the suffering of peasants and soldiers alike. The underground ancillary tunnels and chambers are well kept and maintained. The entire network of tunnels are meticulously dug out by hand and rudimentary tools (on display as well). You can literally experience what soldiers would have gone through at the time. The tunnels were not as expansive as I would have imagined but then again some part of the tunnels still remained inaccessible. Whilst this may not be your typical, traditional beautiful and spectacular attraction, it's definitely a place that holds immense historical and humanity values and lessons that would be worth a visit anytime of the day.

Cool place if you want to learn about WWII history here in Okinawa. My 6 year old is obsessed with war history so he absolutely loved it. Very cool to see the tunnels but very sad to know the horror that occurred there decades ago. Decent parking and lovely views from the entrance. They accept cards for the tour.

Absolutely impressive, though serious location to visit. War is always terrible, and this place surely shows the details. The route is very clear and shows the different locations in the labyrinth of hallways and rooms. Not the right spot for people with severe claustrophobia.
Frank van den Brink — Google review
I last visited this complex a decade ago. As time has moved forward and my perspectives have changed, I feel that this visit provided a much more sobering insight into the war in Okinawa. I was especially struck by how the naval leadership viewed local Okinawans, which seems to contrast with how they were treated by so many. It was also interesting to find out that new excavations are still underway and remains and artifacts have very recently been discovered. This is a very sobering experience. The scars on the walls, especially, speak so much. Highly recommend.

A museum and underground bunker that reminds us of the importance of peace. May the tragedies of war never repeat. The bunker was built by the Japanese soldiers using hands and tools only - pretty impressive. Took a 600yen taxi from the manko wetlands here.

Parking lot is available. There were people but not too crowded. Tickets are available online or directly at the counter. It is interesting for people who likes to be up close to history. Technically, the tunnel has been restored so it’s not as exciting as one would expect. However, it is still good to look around.

I love the history of WW2 in the Pacific, and this is a major piece of the story. In three months in 1945, over 200,000 died here in the last land battle of the conflict. Visit the underground bunker where Japanese Supreme Commander Ota, his six officers, and 4000 men committed suicide on 13 June 1945. Excavated 1952-77, and in 2023, this is a well-preserved WW2 setting. It is highly recommended. An easy, inexpensive taxi/Uber from the cruise ship port or downtown.

I came here for a visit before my flight since I was in the area way too early. We were lucky finding a spot for parking pretty much right away. Walks around the stairway to take a look at what was the Federal and I didn't feel like having any drinks with milk so it took me a while to find the drink that I felt like having they were quite expensive compared to most other places. We went to the hotel resort on top of the stairway, hoping to get a drink with some comfortable seating. However, they wouldn't allow people to drink without having food. Overall this is a very nice and beautiful place to go to before your flight or maybe just coming for a snack and observing some airplane flying cuz you can see the airport at the other side of the water.

Very relaxing views of the sunset. There is plenty of food to choose from and plenty of places to eat and what the planes touch down.

Great vibes and a beautiful place to have a relaxing drink whilst watching the sunset. There is an open field area where people let their dogs play at. The terraces have a wide variety of food cuisines like Thai, American, Hawaiian, Mexican etc. there are also a number of dessert cafes there too. The beach is accessible and you can walk there, there are taps nearby to rinse sand off. The public toilet bins are overflowing from trash, sadly, but other than that they are clean to use. Planes fly overhead pretty often, and they don’t make too much noise. So it’s a very nice place to wind down and relax after a long day.

Umikaji Terrace Senagajima, is one of the picturesque spots in Okinawa. The contrast of white buildings with the blue ocean is really nice. There are many fancy restaurants, sweet shops, and souvenir shops. Across the street, there is a spacious grass field. Most people say viewing the sunset from that place is really nice. Hopefully, next time I visit I can see it during the evening time. We visited during the daytime in August. It was quite hot and humid. The place is located on a small island called Senagajima. It takes only 20 minutes by car from Naha Airport. I recommend you to drop by this place and take a picture, adding it to your memory of Okinawa before leaving.

This place is awesome. Theres some parking available. Best to go here towards the evening prior to sunset as its hot. The view of the ocean and watching the planes takeoff and land is fun. The wide variety of food restaurants and cafes is superb. I highly recommend passing by here just to relax and enjoy the evening. Theres also a hotel at the top but quite pricey. The food ranges from american to thai and other island cuisine. There is also parking at the rear of the facility and the island is small enough to walk around and explore.

My wife and I visited the Terrace on the last leg of our tour of Okinawa Honto or main island with the rented car, enroute to returning the car by 6.30pm to Times Car Rental. My wife wanted to taste the popular pancake but there is already a long queue on the wait list and customers were told to expect at least an hour and a half before the food is served. We decided to skip the pancake and instead visited three different shops. We tasted the taco rice with bacon, salty ice cream, and garlic shrimps, respectively. There were many eateries at the Terrace offering a variety of food and beverages, with tables overlooking the landing strip of Hana Airport where we had the opportunity to witness a few aircrafts making their landing on the airstrip while consuming the taco rice rice and ice cream we had ordered. We decided to eat the 10 pieces of garlic shrimps we ordered indoor as it was still drizzling and the weather was cold and windy. All the food we tasted did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the view at the terrace. There is a hotel and onsen at the site, as well. Parking is free and parking lots are available before the Terrace and around the front of the terrace. Surprisingly, our rented car was not able to locate the direction of the Terrace, and so we depended on the mobile's Google Map to provide us the direction (which was displayed only in Japanese). The terrace is not to be missed when visiting Naha City that has nice view, food, vibe, and has activities for the children too.

Nice views and good place for plane spotting. Lots of food and drink stalls. Long queue for the happiness pancakes. Try not to visit on a rainy day.

Santorini of Okinawa, just so relaxing to hop on to one of the cafe and watch the sunset. Can watch planes take off and landing.

My favourite place in okinawa! View was superb and it s such a good place to chill for a whole day. Plenty of small nice restaurants clustering on white slope, that s why people call it “mini greece” in okinawa. It was very windy there so suggest to equip with windbreakers. Noise of planes taking off can be quite loud and it would be great if thats less frequent.

Near the airport Prepare to wait for parking during peak Nice to watch planes taking off Scenic with shops built on a slope Mostly restaurants with a variety of desserts, American food and some local food

Posillipo is a southern Italian restaurant with great views of the sunset and airport. The food was phenomenal, and the staff were nice. Overall, it was a great experience.

Transport yourself to the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean at this exceptional restaurant! Every dish is a celebration of Mediterranean flavors infused with authentic Italian flair topped with japanese influence. From the vibrant salads bursting with freshness to the aromatic pastas and wood-fired pizzas, each bite is a tantalizing homage to the richness of both cuisines. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with impeccable service and amazing Naha airport views, creates an atmosphere where every meal feels like a cherished gathering among friends. Whether savoring the seafood delicacies, relishing the traditional pasta dishes, or endulging on a perfectly cooked A5 Wagyu steak, dining here is an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Mediterranean, Italian, and Japanese culinary excellence."

Ordered the Carbonara for my entree & tried the bruschetta tuna tar tar for the first time. Was delicious! Our waiter was very helpful as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Had gotten there right around sunset so the atmosphere was stunning. I recommend to everyone 10/10.

We had lunch course at Posillipo. First of all, the view is superb! We chose the outside seats and we could see the sea and airplanes landing at Naha Airport. The food was good. The Wagyu tenderloin was soft and tender! The staffs are attentive and nice. They have free parking so it was easy for us to come here.

Restaurant had a very fancy feel with a priceless view. They had a range of food from 1,000 yen to 10,000 yen. We had the swordfish, ravioli, margarita pizza and brocetta as the app. All was very good and plated great. I wish the sword fish came with a starch or vegetable bit for the price it was great. The creame brulee was made perfect with a golden brown crunchy top. We also ate the tiramisu and that had a very strong taste of coffee(I think). It was great once we could figure out the coffee part. They do offer course meals and holiday event meals Parking is down the hill. Need to walk 5 mins. View of the airport was cool

Owned and operated by the same guys who run the famous Rigoletto in Roppongi Hills. Price is friendly and the food is “great”. The staff is very well trained. This is a great chain. I highly recommend the 3F rooftop area when it’s open during the summer months. Beautiful scenery, however do keep in mind it’s adjacent to the Self Defense Force’s airfield and the main airport. It is seriously loud with air traffic. Ordered the Squid Fritter, Meat sauce pasta and their pizza. The food is solid. It won’t win any awards but it is great. It is tightly run, well designed and presented. Also a great place to throw a party if you can arrange it.

If you like pasta you should try it in Okinawa. Service is good and food is delicious. Enjoy your sea view and take your time here. 1600 yen can eat a course set. Enjoy it.

We booked a table and went for dinner. We wanted vegetarian and none vegetarian food. The staff were very friendly and good atmosphere as they all call out together when orders are brought or people say goodbye. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It arrived promptly and table was cleared in a timely manner. The home made lemonade was delicious as were the desserts. I would recommend booking a table it was quite busy.

Hamburger restaurant
JEF Tomigusuku Branch is a popular chain store in Okinawa known for its unique Goya burger, which is a must-try. The signature bitter gourd burger and fried chicken are highly recommended by many visitors. The restaurant offers a drive-through service, allowing customers to order from their cars and dine in the parking spaces. Despite the name, the Goya burger isn't overly bitter and is quite enjoyable.
Really nice place to try the bitter gourd burger that is only available in this chain store in Okinawa. Really tasty.

Bitter gourd burger is their signature! Personally love it very much. The fried chicken doesn't look good but very very delicious, crunchy outside and juicy inside. Highly recommend.

Goya burger was interesting and not that bitter in flavour, quote enjoyable. Chops are great. Pretty decent but the shop and car service was the highlight.

Older building and parking but food is great. Fast friendly Staff when ordering from your car. I didn't venture inside. Has a great menu, try the chicken nanban sandwich, it was off the chain. Chicken is from Okinawa as well.

A fun Locals favorite! As one of the original Okinawa burger stores, Jef, tastes like something you Okinawan grandmother would make you when you went to her house on a Saturday afternoon. Using Okinawa sourced foods, they are a good fusion of traditional Okinawa tastes and American burgers chains. It seems most of the food is made on site and is not shipped from a processor plant, which gives it a homemade taste like the old style U.S. Malt shops. Try the Fried Chicken!

Pancake restaurant
A Happy Pancake is a popular spot known for its delicious fluffy pancakes. To secure a seat, it's recommended to make an online reservation or arrive before 11 am to jot down your name. The staff provides good service and the male staff at the door efficiently manages customer queries and seating arrangements. While some found the pancakes delightful, others were not fans of the fluffy texture. The savory pancakes tend to sell out quickly, but there are outdoor seating options available.
I have tried many pancakes like this in Japan. Some shop provided yummy pancake but not toppings and vice versa. Happy pancake has both yummy pancake and toppings. Will definitely come back here again
Japan Private Tours — Google review
I am not a fan of the fluffly pancakes [everyone else LOVED THEM]! The staff was super nice and they have a large porch area for outdoor seating. The savory pancakes were all sold out. The black coffee was super delicious! After you order, you pay. Takes credit card and yen. Staff speak basic English. Plenty of parking g around the island.

Suggest to make online reservation or reach there before 11am to write down your name. If your number is 13th and more, it is likely that you will not make it for the first seating and have to wait one hour before there are seats. Good service, the male staff at the door did a good job dealing with customers' queries, bringing us to the table and taking orders. Pancakes were nice and we finished all of them. Coffee was normal.

Went on a Sunday. Wait was more than an hour (That’s fine, we chose to wait). Staff was helpful, spoke English. Pancakes were average honestly…I’ve had better fluffy pancakes in Japan so I don’t know what the fuss is about…
Anji — Google review
The pancake is super fluffy and immersed with the aroma of egg. The only downside is u need to reserve 14 days in advance or else u probably need to wait for half a day. P.s. just checked the price here is half of the Hong Kong outlet, quite amazing 😍
YuiTo Cheng — Google review
Really famous pancake store in Japan. Expect an extremely long queue. The pancake was nice and fluffy but the sauce and ice cream that went with it was slightly underwhelming. The banana milk was decent
l y — Google review
We had both the omelet/pancake set and the pancakes with fruit and cream. The pancakes that came with the omelet were dry with no flavor and there is no butter or syrup. The pancakes with fruit also have no flavor and the fruit and whipped cream do not make up for the lack of taste. They try hard to emulate Hawaiian pancakes but unfortunately fail.

We made the trek here from where we were staying in asakusa by cab. I can assure you, if you are reading this review. Don’t bother queuing up and waiting hours to eat fluffy pancakes. It’s SO NOT WORTH IT. As a red sealed chef, from Vancouver, I can absolutely tell you that the waffles served next door at the cafe downstairs are much better. That’s where everyone ends up as they wait their turn for fluffy pancakes. This is a good example of how the internet overhypes Instagram worthy foods to make them look better than they are. Nothing is worth waiting in line hours for. Especially pancakes. Don’t get me wrong, they tasted fine and looked cool but after eating them. I realized I and many others would likely enjoy regular pancakes more. Save yourself the trouble, you’ll just see other tourist here also.
John Ly — Google review
The pancakes were absolutely delicious. The food is definitely five stars. I gave them four because they need to make better use of the space that they have. They have space that could be used to seat additional people and still not be crowded. We had to wait about an hour to be seated but there food arrived fairly quickly.
Mi Be — Google review
Definitely did not make me “happy”. The sign outside said it would take 15 mins to make the pancakes after ordering. I was happy to wait 1hr 20mins to get in (since I was told it would take this amount of time), but after waiting over 25 mins post order, they said it would take 15 more mins to make the pancakes. That is over 40 mins AFTER sitting down that you get the pancakes. I would not be able to make my next appt with this timeline so cancelled my order. I don’t care how out of the world the pancakes may be (cannot speak to the taste since I never got them even after around 2 hrs) but do not go unless you have unlimited time (or ask them how long it will take to receive the food).
Soph — Google review
I rarely give negative feedback, but this place really deserves my time to do so. Nothing against them, but their system and staff really need to improve ALOT in order to sustain their business. Many seatings were available but due to the lack of staff, many tables went uncleared. The queue just gets longer as the clock ticks. Every pax is required to order a plate of pancakes that comes in 3s. (We are totally fine with that!) Obviously, their kitchen are unable to catch up with their own requirement. After waiting for 1.5hr, only to be allowed for someone behind us to cut queue. There were 5 of us (with 3 elderly), yet a Taiwanese couple (2pax) simply approached the staff and asked for indoor, explaining that they have earlier requested for outdoor but since there is a table for 4 available indoor, can they have it, and to my very astonishment, the staff actually allowed so! I was standing right beside them when i witnessed it. Not wanting to create any scene, I kept my silence. I politely approached the staff to inform them that we are next in Q and can we help ourselves with the seats outdoor since the table has already been cleared amd vacant, but I was given a signal to wait. (Fine!) My last straw came when there was no one taking our order after 15mins. Eventually, we decided to leave the place aft 2hrs of wasted time and energy in the strong cold wind. Bear in mind I have 3 elderly with me. I really hope the owner will do something abt this if they are sincere for a long term in the f&b business.

Nice pancake!! Remember you can book online, but I think just have 1 reservation per time slot. You will need to wait awhile for pancake 🥞
Shing — Google review
Waiting for nearly 3hrs in an extremely bad weather. Ordered two limited editions including peach with rose jelly and three citrus fruits with yogurt + banana chocolate. First, the price is quite high. Second, the queuing time was extremely long. The restaurant is so small. The taste of the pancakes are good but not extraordinary. Just tried once is fair enough. 在狂風狂雨下等了三小時,吃一次就夠了。

Buffet restaurant
The dining experience at Okinawa Buffet Karakara Ashibina Branch was enjoyable and met expectations. The food quality was good, reasonably priced, and well-prepared. The juice selection was excellent. The restaurant staff were friendly and always wore a smile. While knowing Japanese is helpful in Japan, the employees were patient with non-Japanese speakers. The atmosphere was charming, especially the welcoming lighting at the entrance.
For the price, you’d be able to try all the Okinawan cuisine “under-one-roof” – a very reasonable price of 22 SGD. You’ll be able to enjoy fresh Okinawan vegetables, Soba and our favourite stewed pork leg! In fact, the stewed pork leg was so good that we went for seconds, thirds and more (we lost count). The meat was tender and the collagen was slurp-worthy. Perfectly complemented the stewed rice. Yum! For more details, visit 2bearbear today!

A very good local foods buffet, heavy on the vegetable/healthy choices. Dozens and dozens of dishes to try which mostly taste quite similar. They have karaage (fried chicken) for meat eaters. I was surprised at the lack of Goya Champuru at lunch. Soft serve ice cream and good assortment of hot and cold beverages included in the decent 2000¥ lunch price. Located right next to the outlet mall.
James Lane — Google review
I ate there twice during my trip to Okinawa, once for dinner on Thursday and the other time for lunch on Sunday. It was good value for the price they charged and food quality was decent. The restaurant website said the vegetables and fruits are locally sourced. It was busy at lunch on Sunday and the restaurant was not replenishing the food fast enough.
Clement Chan — Google review
The price was reasonably good, around 1868 yen per person after tax for lunch. They had a satisfying number of options and many drinks options including beer, sake, coffee , juices and tea etc. it will be good for vegetarians because many dishes have vegetables and eggs yet for vegans there are limited options. If they are branded as vegetable garden then it should now slowly moved to more vegan options to get a wider audience. The food quality was good for their price. The ice cream really sucks. But for kids, whatever. Good place to bring kids. Lunch can last till 5pm.
Cho Yee Leung — Google review
So many different choices of local food. The king of buffets in Okinawa! Noodles, soups, vegetables, cakes, ice cream, and drinks are all included in the price (except the beer).
Brent Stoddard — Google review
The food was good, and as I expected. It is certainly reasonably priced, and my meal was cooked well, and the juice I ordered was great. My friends really enjoyed their meals, and we had fun. The employees were kind and always smiled. Of course, it always helps to know Japanese while in Japan, but the people were patient with me as I tried to figure out what to say. The aesthetic is lovely, and I like the lighting at the entrance. Seemed very welcoming for families as well, with children's books available, and a kids menu. I may return sometime later. Maybe take some people who have never been.
