The Rose Garden is a great American restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. It's perfect for when the kids are at school, and the clam chowder is to die for. The only downside is that the restaurant needs refurbishment, but it's still a great place to visit.
Jam is homemade, and delicious. I go their to get away with my husband when the kids are at school. We love the experience and (their clam chowder is to die for.)Service is great and always welcoming. Takes credit card and yen.

Always wanted to try this place after driving past it daily. Glad I finally tried it. Prices are reasonable and food is very good. I went at 5pm till 6 and there was only 4 customers on a Friday night so easy to get seated. Employees were great too. Atmosphere was that of an old truck stop diners in the US so if you like that then this is your spot. Plan to go try the brunch in the next couple days Update: went and had the brunch. I was not impressed with the food portion or presentation. It was a bit of a let down compared to the places I’ve tried in AV. Certainly a great dinner destination though

This restaurant was once very famous for the delicious food, but it was a big disappointment last night: all food was just a little warmer; the onion soup tasted like canned food, the escargot 🐌 was cold and the crème brûlée was frozen. NEVER AGAIN. Please don’t ask for the coffee it was terrible 😢

My husband and I go here at least once a month for breakfast. We went for Christmas dinner last year and it was really good. The food is not the best but still very good. It is a little bit pricey but the portions are good. It's a nice place to grab breakfast and coffee. Coffee is refillable.

The food is amazing I really love pancakes and scrambled eggs, the attention of the staff is the best, my only complaint is that the restaurant needs remodeling, but I highly recommend this place.

We go to Rose Garden every time we're in town. One of our favorite places for good American style breakfasts. Omelets, potatoes, french toast, pancakes and eggs cooked however you like! Also, very good coffee!

Our first time here and we will definitely be coming back again. We both ordered the extra thick bacon with toast from the menu. Ordered eggs scrambled hard,(we don’t like runny eggs ☺️) toast/English muffin. Order came with potatoes as well and the entire meal was a delicious treat.

Good lord. This place. EVERYTHING is delicious! I had to have a game plan on what to eat before I came back here so that I do not go into another food coma.

This restaurant was an outstanding find. We had heard good things about the restaurant and wanted to give it a try. It was so good we went again two nights later. The steak is among the best I have ever had. The 1st night I went with the 300g rib-eye and it was incredible. The meal comes in courses and they will wait until everyone is done with one course before clearing and bringing out the next course. So if one in your party is slow you may be here a while. That is not a problem here as the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They also have 1980's style easy listening music going. Make sure when you come you plan to spend at least an hour as this is a place to enjoy the great food. Each course has is small but it all adds up and you may have room for desert which I recommend. The desert changes from day to day and they get all the cakes and pies from American Kitchen. This is a must try before you leave island!!

Very small homely breakfast place. I ordered the eggs Benedict combination plate. The hollandaise sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness to balance out against the richness of the egg and savory ham although the consistency of it could’ve been more silky smooth. Definitely would recommend just getting the ham, sausage is by no means bad but the ham definitely is the way to go. Potato bites were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside whilst soft, pillowy, and light on the inside. Biscuit had the perfect texture of the nice crunch on the edges and soft on inside. Eggs were decedent and cooked to a perfect golden runny yolk. Will definitely be coming back here again with my buddy.

I have been wanting to try this little cafe for a few years. I finally had the opportunity to. I believe they are more famous for their steak. My wife ordered waffles and they were fair quality with below average presentation. The eggs Benedict biscuits were good and presented well. The vegetables however, were a little dry. I had the better experience between our meals. The ambiance was a little dingy. I imagine at night, it would seem romantic in dim light. During the morning, it reminded me of a corner cafe you pick up food to go. I may end up going back, but I am not in a hurry to.

Rose garden is a nice restaurant to stop by and enjoy breakfast or lunch. The food is good, but the menu is not vegan friendly. So I haven’t been able to enjoy it recently. When I did I enjoyed the omelet, eggs Benedict or even the pancakes.

Steak house
Emerald Steak House in Okinawa is undoubtedly the ultimate destination for an exceptional steak dining experience. Among numerous steak houses across Japan, this establishment stands out as the epitome of excellence when it comes to savoring a truly remarkable steak. The quality of their steaks surpasses any encountered in recent years, making it a must-visit location for enthusiasts. Transportation should not pose an issue, even if you don't have access to a car; taxis are readily available.
Wow. Amazing views and superb food. This is a perfect quaint location for a couples date. They have a ton of sitting room for groups. The food was amazing and super affordable. I can’t wait to come back! Kids: we will likely only come here when kiddos are at daycare. This is a pretty intimate place that’s not well suited for kids. ETA: A couple years later and I just want to echo my previous review. This place is still so incredibly yummy and relaxing. (2022)

Location is a short drive from Aeon mall Rycom. They have parking in the front and the side, I believe also underground parking. We were greeted at the entrance and was told cash only, which I am fine with. We ordered the emerald steak with jumbo shrimp. They recommended medium rare but we went with medium, it was quite chewy on the sides, maybe medium rare is indeed the better choice. The corn soup is plain. The salad coupled with sesame sauce was good. The bread was served cold. For two adults we spent close to 8000 yen. I would say for the price we were not amazed by it. the wall seems a bit dated and greasy. Not all servers speaks English well. Menu says last order at 8pm but we ordered at 8:20pm and seems like another family walked in at 8:50pm and was still seated.

I haven't been to a steak house like this in awhile and I like it lately there are many franchise so. I rated the service is low because the stuff were trainee or may be just the new generation or careless.

This is definitively THE place to go for a really fabulous steak experience, if you are in Okinawa!! I have been to a lot of so called steak houses in Japan, but this experience was absolutely the best steak I’ve had in many a year…..if you don’t believe me please GO!! If you do not have a car a taxi will be no problem. Having visited in July 2021 we found it closed quite early. Because of the Corona plague the comfortable sofas and bars were closed. If you are nearby please go as I’m sure you will not regret it !!

The food was good I’ll be a little bit pricey. One of the best things about this restaurant is it small and out-of-the-way with a spectacular view if you can get seated near the windows. Locating in a very convenient location.

Sam's Cafe is a down-to-earth eatery that offers a wide variety of delectable international dishes, including ribs, steaks, and soups. The restaurant provides English menus for non-Japanese speakers and boasts ample parking. It is an ideal place to dine with family and friends due to its welcoming staff and cozy ambiance illuminated by candles and streamed lights. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a charming parrot, while certain drink orders come with souvenir cups.
One of my favorite dining experiences in Okinawa, from the friendly professional staff, to the ambiance, and absolutely superb food. 12/10 will be going here more often for date night. Do not forget to try the Banana Split Sundae!

Good services, fantastic delicious food at affordable price, good music, good deco and free parking. The only complaint is the food portion is too big. Main course come with soup, salad, garlic bread and rice.
Boo Goh — Google review
The staff there were very kind and patient. English menus are provided for those who don't speak Japanese. I enjoyed the food very much and the soup was amazing! There is a lot of parking so you won't have trouble finding a parking spot. This is a good place to bring your family and friends. The restaurant is somewhat dark inside with candles and streamed lights being the only light source, but you can still see around oneself. There is also a cute parrot you'll notice when entering and depending on what drink you order you get a souvenir cup to take home with you! I highly reccomend the milkshakes when you get a sweet tooth since they are absolutely amazing and have just the right amount of sweetness!

You feel like you're going back in time from the moment you walk in. Poconos, NY USA circa 1950's vibes from the waitress' uniform to the decor. Every meal includes a salad (more like a slaw that we're used to in the states) and soup. Unique serving combinations; you'll get a small amount of mixed veggies, corn, rice, and/or french fries. The steak was amazing. Most everything else was good but not great. We ordered the lemon steak platter and the salmon with fried jumbo shrimp plate. The five stars were earned from the overall experience.

This place gets 1 star for its speedy service and atmosphere of an “American diner/cafe”. The best part of the visit was the cute girl in her sailor uniform. Other than that, the food sucks. Lacks flavor, lacks consistency, and lacks a true menu item to stand out above the others. The mango cocktail I ordered was fantastic solely because it was the only flavor I tasted in my hour visit. I don’t recommend coming here. Glad to leave this place in 2021.

The food here was fantastic, I was hesitant at first because of the price but I was very happy with it ultimately. I paid 2200 yen and got soup, salad, a plate of rice, a milkshake, and jumbo fried shrimp, fried clams, and fried red snapper. All of it was amazing quality, crispy, not too greasy. Really a delight. The interior is nostalgic Americana, but it doesn’t feel like a knock off. The ambience really does take you back somewhere during your meal. I highly recommend.

Great family restaurant for children! They brought out kids silverware and even little aprons for them to use as bibs. So adorable! The drink that comes with their children’s meal is served in a pirate skull cup with a little monkey hanging on the straw! The children’s meals also come with a variety of food: you get spaghetti, corn, rice, hamburger, French fries, bread roll, and a jello cup for dessert. The staff are also dressed up like sailors, which my 4 year old loved. Even the adult meals all come with a salad and soup. Can get a little pricey but it’s a great variety of food and very filling. Excellent service and the nicest staff!

This is my second restaurant of Sams, this one is based on a 50’/60’s diner with Japanese covers of oldies to boot! The staff are excellent and very attentive. With my broken Japanese I was able to get by quite well, I imagine they are fluent here due to its proximity to base though. They do offer a menu in English, so don’t be scared! Come on out and enjoy the experience. This tome around I have the steak/chicken cordon bleu combo and it was excellent. Expect to pay ¥3000 per adult without alcohol.

Steak house
Ikinari Steak is a popular steakhouse located on the 3rd floor of Rycom Mall in Okinawa. The restaurant offers a great deal on their 1300 steak, which has impressed many customers with its melt-in-your-mouth goodness. While it's a self-service establishment in a food court setting, the taste and quality of the steaks remain consistent with other Ikinari Steak locations across mainland Japan.
Arguably the best cooked steak on Okinawa. For U.S. CAB and Japanese domestic beef. No Wagyu on the menu. Very fast service but can get busy during peak hours.
ダウショーン — Google review
This place is in a food court so expect trays and self-service. The taste is consistent with the other Ikinari steaks in the mainland. If you want the plate to be reheated it would be time-consuming since there's only one stove.

Super impressed with their 1300¥ steak! A great deal and show your military ID and get a free drink. Impressed a low cost steak was melt in your mouth good. Will come again to try another steak. In the 3rd floor of Rycom Mall, takes credit card.

Blue Water Shrimp, a Hawaiian restaurant, offers a delectable variety of dishes. Their regular garlic shrimp, followed by the spicy and extra spicy options, are exceptionally appetizing. The 9 Shrimp Plate is a must-try and consistently satisfying. Additionally, their boba drinks with perfectly textured pearls are enjoyable. The brown sugar matcha drink is particularly delightful when customized with less sugar and ice.
The food was so yummy! I got a spicy garlic pork meal, it came with cabbage. It was just what I was looking for.

Good placed to eat at Rycom mall. Famous for their garlic shrimps. This time I ordered the “Jackie’s Chicken” it was delicious !!!! (Spicy)
Francisco Casimir — Google review
We usually order the fried garlic pork. The preparation and tatse is inconsistent. Sometimes, it was either too salty, barely salted, or the meat was overcooked/dry. Today (11/11/22), I could barely taste any salt and the meat was not properly separated before frying that it came out thick so one side is not fried. Also, the salad dressing was too spicy. I've ordered here before where it was properly cooked/prepared and it was good. But after these occurrences, it's really killing my appetite and wasting my money. I really hope they would fix this issue. Until then, 1 star.

Extremely delicious food! The spicy/garlic shrimp and garlic chicken are amazing! Malasadas are really good too. They are made fresh to order, but the taste isn't really like Hawaiian malasadas.

I ordered the mild garlic shrimp plate and a tropical tea with boba. It didn't take long for the electric buzzer to let me know it was ready. The shrimp were large & properly cooked but not fully cleaned out. The garlic sauce was delicious. It turned out to be messy. Thank goodness for the wipe. Anyhow, the rice was mushy but otherwise good. I really, really loved the tropical tea with boba.

This place is SO GOOD!!!! I started with the regular garlic shrimp, then spicy garlic, then EXTRA spicy garlic shrimp (it’s a little menu on the top left of the counter) and OMG. Always get the 9 Shrimp Plate. Never disappoints. Their boba is also pretty decent. Their pearls are just the right softness—I get their brown sugar matcha with less sugar/ice and it’s always a treat.
