On the third of July, Hippy's Restaurant Beach Bar was bustling with activity as visitors sought shelter under umbrellas on this busy weekend. The coffee was impressive, and the staff displayed exceptional friendliness at this delightful beach destination. Although a ciabatta chicken sandwich took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive, it was apparent that this may have been due to their first busy day of the season.
Great food excellent service and if you eat or drink at the restaurant, you get free access to their sun beds. Overall a fabulous deal so glad that we stumbled across this place.g

Small stony beach and cozy place to chill and rest. Staff is so helpful and welcoming. Prices are well. Sunbeds and umbrella are free to use only if you order something to drink. Their bar and restaurant are really relaxing place. Waterfalls are nearby but the trekking path is difficult. You need to have special shoes to swim and climb to waterfalls. In Hippies only “the tzatziki” was not fresh and delicious. The rest and dish of the day “grilled mussels” were great and juicy. In Potami, you should try this place.

Beach is not sand (pebble stones), sun beds are free if you order a drink. Food is nice and restaurant has a very relaxed athmosphere with nice decoration. Can be crowded in the afternoon so try to settle in the morning hours.

The best beach lounge bar and restaurant I have ever visited! A combination of things makes this place amazing: Crystal clear waters of the Potami beach, adequate music chosen by the DJ (mostly carefully selected reggae), very kind and smiling staff, beautiful decoration, good vibes, delicious food, flavoursome drinks, reasonable prices, cosy sunbeds, excellent service, and a great activity to do nearby (hiking to the Potami waterfalls) if you want to move around. I can't wait to come back and just live the summer experience!

I went to Hippy's the third of July, it was quite busy that day (it was a weekend). But I had no trouble to find an umbrella for some shade. I really liked their coffee and the staff was very friendly. It is a nice beach. I orderded a ciabatta chicken sandwich and waited an hour and 15 minutes for it to be served. My guess is that it was their first very busy day of the season and because of that some things went wrong. They did apologize multiple times that it took so long and thankfully, the sandwich tasted really good, so don't let this experience stop you from going there, it is really nice there.

Great place with nice juices such as watermelon and even better cocktails. Sun chair is free with the drinks. Great atmosphere, lovely personnal. Had an impromptu concert, we were really lucky!

Lovely beach bar and restaurant, with great vibe and enthusiastic team. We loved it!

So good to hear a mixture of song types, instead of the repetitive reggae songs of previous years. The service as always is exceptional as are the staff!

Rendezvous 2000 is a fantastic Greek eatery that offers delicious cuisine and a stunning sunset view. The service provided is friendly, and the atmosphere becomes lively around 21h. If you prefer an early dinner, you'll have the place to yourself. Be sure to inquire about their daily specials as they are worth trying. It's worth noting that if you order both a starter and main course, don't be surprised if your main arrives before you finish your starter.
The food was very good, and also the people that work there. They are very helpful. The toilette was very clean and fresh. Highly recommended to eat there.

Real good Greek food. Nice to sit and watch the sun go down. Friendly service. The action starts around 21h so is you're out for an early diner you'll have the place for your self. Ask for the daily specials. If you have a starter and a main course don't be surprised if you are still on your starter when main arrives.

The best pizza in town for sure and I can assure you on that; it is not just your average pizza. The crust is so crispy and thin but still not dry or doughy. My favorite was the spicy sucuklu pizza. It is a must must have. Greek salad is also quite nice but left in the shadow of the pizza.

We have had dinner here, and it was very good and a lot of food. Beautiful location. As mentioned in other reviews the owners are very kind. We will certainly return another day.
Roy Kempees — Google review
Prices aren't clearly written, so be careful. Also the food itself was average and the portions for two are quite small. After we sat down and ordered, the service was poor. Empty plates weren't taken and nobody asked if how it tasted.

I'm doing a restaurant food trip on Samos. I visited basically all of the Karlovassi eateries. You should come here, and always ask for the daily dishes. Fish is amazing! Very nice owners, totally dedicated to the family tradition of running the place.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years while on holiday in Samos. My son is very picky and Maria always has an open heart and smile for his choices. The food off the menus is wonderful, with many offerings. It’s our favorite and first meal when we land in Karlovisi. The sunset here is beautiful, if you like to eat earlier. Feels like a home cooked meal made with fresh ingredients.

One in our company ordered a steak medium rare and o was served medium well. When he pointed out the misstake the servant took the dish out and later served a rare steak wicht were okay. Otherwise the service and the meals were excellent.

we got a carbonara and a pizza. The carbonara was really good and big portion , I ate it with my friend and we were both so full, the pizza also good when i tried it. The service very good and welcoming and the prices were worth it. If i ever visit samos karlovasi again i would love to have dinner there again.

The Dionysos Restaurant received positive reviews for its affordable prices. Customers enjoyed their meals, including the Maroulosalata and zucchini balls, which were described as delicious. While some parts of the pork dish needed additional salt, overall it was satisfying. The kebap was also praised as tasty. The serving staff was friendly and attentive. This restaurant is highly recommended to everyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Visitors can expect to be surrounded by adorable cats in the restaurant's photos.
Traditional Greek food under the trees! The food here was great! We had fresh fish, squid, split peas (fava), and boiled greens and beetroots. Everything was pure and tasteful. The people who served us were very kind and friendly. The surrounding was also lovely since, during the night, the lights under the trees were creating a cozy atmosphere.

Authentic. Mostly greeks eating here all around the day. Busstours full of tourists. A little hidden diamond by the bushes. Very good food, straight classic home meals. Just wonderful.

About the best meal we have had on the island. We will be back
Brian Higgins — Google review
When the reviews say it’s inexpensive, they’re not lying. My husband and I had a great dinner there. Maroulosalata (lettuce salat) was very nice. We had the zucchini balls and it was delicious in every bite. I had the pork and I enjoyed it although some part of it needed a bit of salt but the rest was perfectly fine. My husband got the kebap (I guess it was kebap) and he said it was yummy! The guy that served us was very nice. I recommend this to everyone. We’ll go back again for another dining experience in this estiatorio because these cats in the photos love having some humans around them. 😄

Incredible! We have been travelling Greece for 3 weeks and this was the best food we have had. We had Samos Salad, tzatziki, moussaka, Yoghurt Kebab & walnut dessert. Beautiful restaurant & service ❤️

We had a great time in this restaurant. The food was excellent and the pork with lemon was phenomenal. Tzaziki, the Greek salad and all other things we had were awesome.

Nice place, portions are big, and everything I've ordered was delicious. No haute cuisine, just solid greek dishes, hot grill and pictorial garden. Highly recommend.

Delicious 😋 traditional food in a charming square shaded by trees 🌳. Quick and friendly service adds to the experience, with a focus on locals that enhances the authentic vibe. A must-visit spot if you're seeking genuine flavors off the beaten path ❤️. Definitely my new favorite place in Karlovasi.

Restaurant
Meltemia Restaurant offers a breathtaking setting by the sea, where diners can enjoy a stunning sunset. The restaurant is separated from the terrace by a road. Their Pita Gyros is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and generous portions, complemented by crispy fries. The prices are affordable, with two gyros and large beers totaling only 13 euros. The staff is appreciative of tips and provides friendly service. Despite the simplicity of some dishes, the ambiance and welcoming team compensate for it.
I think this is where I saw the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. The restaurant is located directly at sea, and a road splits the terrace from the actual restaurant. We ate a Pita Gyros (only 3,40) which honestly tasted phenominal - it was fresh, tasty, large in size and the Fries were very crispy. Without a doubt the best Gyros I have had on Samos. Our total bill was only like 13 euros for two gyros and 2 large beers. We gave a tip and the staff was genuinely grateful which is something I can appreciate. If you are in Karlovassi - at least visit this place once.

A times too simple food, but the atmosphere and friendly staff make up for it. Please taste their Greek feta sallad. Amazing!!
David Lukas — Google review
The Greek salad had only half a tomato in the dish and the oil was old with a bad taste. We ordered a portion of the giros meat, the meat was dry with no taste at all the pita was also half... The glasses were dirty. I'm sorry because it's a nice place.

Delicious fresh grilled sea bream and perfect sea view. And the semolina bread was awesome as well.
Eric Boscia — Google review
The food was ok in the end, but the staff working in this restaurant was horrible! They bring us wrong drinks... Then bring us partially order - salmon fillet with tartar sauce - without tartar sauce, when we asked for it, they bring some sauce, but it wasn't tartar. Also food was served without bread, fork and knife, we also had to ask for it.... Side dish was salad, and not some pottatos or rice. The price is too high for fish with some salad...

If you are looking for great food with a view of the beautiful Aegean, u found the restaurant. As they say, u tried the rest, now try the best! The small fried fish were my favourite. Did I mention the wine is a great compliment! Say hi to diamantis for me !

I visited Archontissa restaurant 15 years ago and fortunately, not much has changed since then. The establishment is located on a hilltop, providing a breathtaking view. The cuisine is exceptional, and the staff is friendly and fluent in English. Access to the restaurant involves remarkable stairs. Below lies a canyon that can be explored by swimming, but some areas have deep water. Beyond two waterfalls, the journey becomes more challenging; however, there is an additional stairway leading to the restaurant.
We've been here 15 years ago, fortunately until today not much has changed. It is a really good restaurant atop the hill with a great view. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, also english speaking. You can reach it by quite exceptional stairs. The canyon below can be walked to, but be prepared to swim a lot, in some places the water is to deep to stand. After the first two waterfalls it's NOT getting easier, but there is a second stairway to the restaurant afterwards. So if you want to go inside the canyon, you better be a really good climber, otherwise you will get stuck. For those that are shy of water, taking the first stairway to the restaurant is instead recommended.

Wow! On top of a valley, seeing the beautiful view of the mountains while enjoying a nice lunch that's cooked with wood fire. Such a joy! Try the magnificent stairs down to the river, you'll like it 😈

Restaurant/taverna just before you start the trip to the Potami waterfall(s). Super sweet staff, beautiful view, hellish stairway to the restaurant, very good food and large portions. You can leave your stuff that cannot get wet for the trip to the waterfalls there.

A delicious traditional kitchen, a beautifull view and a very relaxe atmosphere. A place to be for everyone who has enclosed Samos in the heart.

This is a very nice little restaurant on top of the hill looking over the Potami Waterfall Gorge. The staff is very friendly and you can store your stuff and valuables there while you are taking a swim in the Potami Waterfalls. We had the Goat and ‘Flute’, which was fried cheese with ham and quite tasty. The goat was excellent and the meat came off the bone by slightly touching it with your fork. They have an oven in the back where the meat is cooked iron pots in the fire/oven.

Steep climb on uneven wooden stairs up the mountain, but the pay off is in the views. Very lovely owner and nice food. Would recommend to bring cash though, as the reception for card payments seems to be not completely reliable.

Was a super adventurous way up to the restaurant. The view, food and service definitely didnt disappoint, i would love to come back! Really nice people also
Morastico — Google review
Great place for grilled meats, especially goat. The physically fit can take the Potami waterfalls trail to climb (literally) to the restaurant, which makes the visit also a fun adventure. At the top of the short but very steep climb a cool beer helps to cool off. We had stuffed goat and Sheppards salad. Both were very delicious. If you want a grilled meat dish, arrive early - around noonish - before they are sold out.

Excellent place. Amazing climb up to it, not for the unfit. Lovely goat stew cooked on wood fired stove. Good service and amazing views. Highly recommended.
