The service and the ambiance is excellent. The garlic butter shrimp, the house wine and their olive oil were fabulous. The fish soup could have been better.

Atmosphere was nice. Ordered zucchini and we loved it so much. Caciki was fantastic. The rest was okay. The service personel was a bit nervous. But they helped anyway. Recommend

Best restaurant in Kokkari. We tried 8 different restaurants during our time in Kokkari but kept coming back to Meltemi. Awesome seating right on the beach, excellent food (especially their fresh fish) and great and polite service. Their fish plate for two could easily feed four so maybe skip some starters if you decide to go for that. Also, since it’s located on the beach: No mosquitoes :)

Delicious food, rich variety of wines and other drinks, professional and friendly staff ... I definitely recommend you visit the restaurant when you come to Kokkari.

The staff was not nice almost seemed that we were being given as a favor to eat there. It created a bad experience by itself The fish was good however the salad had undisclosed ingredients that we were allergic to. Considering all the nice restaurants in the island there are far better options Not recommend

My husband and I ate here and the food was quite good but eventually, we noticed that the people sitting a little away from us. Were treated quite badly by the people who worked at the restaurant. ... i must say, it's a disappointing to see people being treated that way.

So it's just a classical tourist point of a famous Greek island. Also, to be honest, when I read the comments about racist behaviour of the owner, I though people exaggerate somehow. But I experienced the same and understood why people wrote those words. The waiters are lovely young boys, but when (probably) the owner heard my nationality he literally changed his face haha. No one cares about your racist opinions, we just want to eat nice food during our holiday. Which is another topic, the food was average to me, as a person who knows well the local Greek cuisine and fried zucchini was too oily, which is the only important part of that plate already. Overall, not again.

I really love this place. You can easily find typically Greek cuisine here. Near to sea, you can enjoy your food and drink. It is crowded place, go there before 20.30.

Really nice place to sit. Windy. The food is good. We had beef stifado and prawn souvlaki, both were really nice. They have also enough waiters, and they are friendly and will do everything for you. The only thing is but this is in every restaurant, they take your order for drinks at the same time when you order your dinner or lunch. I would serve the drinks first and than when ordering dinner go for the second round. Win win. We would go back to here.

The food was great with a good value for money. One of the best service we experienced in Greece so far. The house offered us the dessert at the end of the diner as well. I would recommend to make a reservation, the tables in front of the sea are adding a big plus to the diner.

We wanted to find out best restaurant on Samos island and I think we find it. Meltemi taverna satisfied us in all ways - classic greek cuisine, seafood, home wine. We had seafood fish plate for two. I cannot imagine 2 people who can handle it. I think it is portion at least for four:-) service perfect, near the sea, it was a little bit loud, but we enjoyed it very much. Edit. We came back here once again. And we had typical greek food, I can recommend it. It was also delicious. So not only excellent tavern with fish or seafood, but also excelent greek cuisine.

We had lunch at Meltemi and were satisfied with everything we ordered. As a plus the staff was very friendly and the food arrived quite fast.

Great dining experience at Meltemi. I had the fresh red snapper which was grilled to perfection. Prawns were also good. Boys ordered Greek meatballs that were also tasty. Service was impeccable.

From many good looking (and probably considerably close) restaurants, we picked Kalamies this time and we are not disappointed. The ladies (mom & daughter) are nice, the food is good and view is great. What do you need more? Nothing! (Rice & chips are 'from the house) Enjoy!

Unfortunately we couldn’t take a picture before eating. Everything was super tastefull we loved it. We ordered fried zuccini, grek salad and fish&kalamari (came with french fries and rice). Especially kalamari was great, I guess they are marinating in a special sauce. Portions are suuper big, we left the place with bellies full of good food.

I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant! It is located in Kokkari and has the best full view of the port! It is completely by the sea and decorated in blue and white. You feel relaxed in this beautifull atmosphere! All the portions were really big! The Greek salad had the best sweet tomatoes of the island and a big piece of feta cheese. The grilled kalamari filled with feta cheese and sun dried tomatoes was the best I've ever had! It comes with fries and rice which served on a side dish. This restaurant is well known for the sea food but really try meat for sure. It was perfectly grilled and delicious. Kids many times prefer meat so we ordered steak and souvlaki. Both came with tzatziki,fries,rice and pita. I forgot to mention the zucchini that are cut like fries and I have no foto because they disappeared at once! Family dinner or romantic dinner both are great. Thodoris and Irini and all the people working there are very friendly!

The service is friendly and attentive. However, I didn't like the fried calamari. Its batter was too sweet. The grilled calamari was ok but I had much better calamari before elsewhere. The only dish that I would recommend is the fried zucchini.

Kalamies is the best restaurant in Kokkari - if not all of Samos !!!! Nice family atmosphere, delicious food and always fresh seafood becouse they have the short menu. Calamari (their dish No. 1) cooked perfectly, but my taste buds were stolen by grilled dorado- I ate this fish in many places in Greece, but in Kalamies its serving and taste surpassed everything !!!! It is a pity that I can't give more than 5 stars because this restaurant deserves a much higher rating 💙 Greetings from Poland to the whole wonderful family!

I’m local people and I believe that this place is the best in samos island! A visit there it would be a really great food experience! I have travel a lot but fish food at kalamies is the best!

Everything was delicious. Definitely try the fried calamari. They posted a sign that said they had the best in Samos and I believe it. Also try the fava and mussels a la creme. Very good and friendly service.

The cooking and the tasty is very nice. Their dishes have something special. The Gemisto Kalamari and Sea Bass was very nice. I recommend it to everyone.

The best reason to visit Kokkari is the Kokkari Fish platter for 2 Go there and enjoy!!

Located at the end of the “touristy” part of Kokkari harbour but felt very homely and cosy. We had the kalamari which came nicely arranged. The taste was a bit more sweet (might be the marinate) than elsewhere on Samos and that might be a hit or miss depending on how you like your kalamari (I enjoyed it). The service was amazing and very polite and the view of the city was a perfect setting for dinner.

Great food, the muscles had a very special slight sweetness to them. home made pastes come free with the meals. kind service, prices very fair.

We were looking forward for something unique in Kokkari, we choose Samia based on the guide's recommendations. I can honestly say, it was very good greek cuisine, no doubt at all. But we expect little bit more. Nice place on the beach, huge waves, windy. Very kind and helpful staff.

Sitting outside enjoying the sunset with good food and even better desserts and cocktails gave us that real holiday vibe. The coconut flavoured dessert especially was to die for.

This is a charming place, open for 38 years, and I could tell instantly why. Zina, her husband, and her parents are wonderful hosts. We started off with a spicy baked feta, followed by a halloumi salad and chicken skewers. Everything was delicious. You can feel they put a lot of heart into the food and experience. Thanks to the whole family for making our first night in Greece magical!

I ate at many restaurants in kokkari, but when I evaluate it in terms of price and performance, Samia is in the first place by far. I definitely recommend the mussels with garlic sauce. clean place , frendly waiters and large portions . You will not regret.

Unfortunately there was no gyros en tatziki served with the Greek mixed grill. Furthermore the food, drinks, service and hospitality were excelent. I would recommend!

The worst musaka ever! Too much potatoes and beshamel and too little meat and tomatoe souce. Not good taste.

The location is good, we went without a reservation around 7 and found table, but those who arrived at around 8 and after had to wait in line. Portions were large and delicious. Service time and prices are normal. We paid 39 euros for two person. Only the oldest waiter tried to sell us a more expensive wine but he did not insist.

For Samos is one of few good restaurants with excellent service and quality meet selections. Reasonable prices. The only minor point is the missing toilet for handicap manly due to an old building restrictions. No reservations first come first serve due to high demand.

Excellent food and very good service. I ate a chicken schnitzel and it was really good. The prices was a bit steep but the course was also very big. You should try it if you looking for good meal with meat, worth the money.😎💪

We had super tasty food all five of us. We had beef fillet, beef striploin (Angus), salads, fried spinach balls, and some bread and tzatziki for starters. Definitely worth a visit.

I was hesitant to eat Italian when on holiday in Greece but went because the reviews were so good... And trust me-you have to go here! Fabulous food, fabulous wines and great location on the beach. The menu had classics but also creative 5 star dishes. We had a tartlet with caramelized onions, Parmesan ice cream and shaved truffle = to die for! Our pizza was better than most and the pasta too was scrumptious. Homemade limoncello was excellent. Service was a bit stressed and rushed but didn't lessen the experience.

Really one of the best italian Restaurants i've ever been! Absolutely delicious. For us best place in town. Love IT!

Great place, great food. We came with 5 people and a baby today. The waiters were super friendly to us and the baby. We accidentally got a pizza that we didn't order, so they brought us one for free to take home as an apology. This is what I call customer service. We are here every year and never got disappointed. Good Italian wine list as well. Great alternative to all the greek food that's around. Always good to make an reservation because it can get really busy. Highly recommended. Thanks!
