The Vine Inn is a brilliant place to stay if you're at the travel lodge. Although the menu is basic, they offer an absolutely fantastic burger with the best chips you've ever tasted. Dining outside in the courtyard adds to the experience. However, there was a slight concern overheard from two individuals nearby, which caused some discomfort and resulted in leaving hastily without finishing the food. Despite this chance encounter, it slightly overshadowed an otherwise great time enjoying a delicious pint and tasty burger.
We all had a great birthday party 🎉 for my sons 21st, up stairs venue was just the job 👍 for us. Big thanks to all the team at the Vine
Tony Doncaster — Google review
Have been in for a drink several times but had never tried the food. I had a burger and my husband had a bratwurst, both were excellent. Will definitely be eating there again and will try one of their speciality food nights which apparently run every 3 weeks.
Sarah Cork — Google review
We went to their pop punk tribute night, which was one of their Upstairs at the Vine gigs. It was a lot of fun, and the place has a really welcoming atmosphere. I'm now following their Facebook page to see more events in future, as we well definitely be back!
Kirsty Nelms — Google review
Had the guys at the vine provide the bar for a friend's wedding. Great service and prices, and loaded in and out exactly when they said they would, saving the groom a load of stress. Would hire again without a second thought.
Chris Mallett — Google review
Excellent local pub. Excellent staff and beers brewed on site
wayne wakelam — Google review
Cheerful friendly staff add to the great atmosphere. Excellent range of real ale which is brewed on the premises. Choice of hot flat breads and panini make a welcome change from the usual pub cobs.
Elizabeth Read — Google review
My first visit and very impressed. Proper traditonal pub selling great condition real ales, some from their own on-site brewery. A warm welcome from bar staff (and the real fire), and friendly locals. Will be back for sure.
Phil Caldicott — Google review
Brilliant if staying at the travel lodge. Basic menu but had an absolutely fantastic burger with best chips ever. Ate outside in the courtyard. Sadly felt quite at risk listening to 2 lads talking on the table next to me. Didn't finish my food and left in a hurry. Probably just a chance encounter but nonetheless took the shine off a great pint and a tasy burger.
Richard Bates — Google review
Friendly bar staff serving real ale made on the premises, well priced beers and food, worth a return visit.
Shaun Jasper — Google review
Fantastic real pub, best in the town. They brew their on beers and I tried the 'session ale' at 3.6%, I know a low ABV but full of flavour. Also basic food available, paninis sandwiches and toasties. I had the cheese & onion toastie and only £1.50!! As cheap as a packet of crisps in some establishments. Staff are great especially Helen. TRY IT!
Simon Schofield — Google review
Friendly owner good selection of own brood beers
John Esprey — Google review
Was not expecting such a warm welcoming hospitality, lovely home brewed offerings and a delicious panini to boot. Traveling up the Trent & Mersey and needed to stop for shopping and laundry, and stopped in for a pint while the clothes were washing. I thought OK, I’ll stop and have another while they’re drying, which turned into a 3rd once the clothes were all finished, and a single malt whisky from a patron. Kudos to Helen for making me feel at-home across the ocean and the patrons evidently enjoying the warmth of a fire and each others company on a chilly October evening.

Pub
Stag's Leap is a contemporary, family-friendly establishment with a spacious outdoor seating area. They offer a variety of dishes from different cuisines that are prepared impeccably and have great flavor. The staff is exceptional, providing excellent service throughout the entire dining experience. The menu has been recently updated, offering an extensive selection of options to choose from. Additionally, the desserts are highly recommended, as they are innovative and delightful.
We went for a family meal to celebrate our sons birthday. The new menu has lots of choice. We had one of the new menu items plus a couple of our old favourites. The food was cooked beautifully and really tasty. The staff were fantastic too. We tried two of the new puddings and loved them. The pub has such a lovely atmosphere too. Thank you.

Seriously gone down hill since my last visit. I ordered a Cowboy Burger that came with fries. It arrived and looked like a Cowboy had actually prepared it. The burger buns were hard edged and the fried were barely warm. I'm almost certain that they were oven chips bought at Aldi. Over priced and overrated.
Bustedup — Google review
Sfaff could be more attentive.... But overall, average pub experience, exactly what you would expect. Not a bad one!
Georgiana Niculae — Google review
We had a great table for 8 of us, including 2 children. A good range of food to choose from and a really nice environment. Some minor problems with our food but the team were very reactive and attentive to try and resolve. A really good team
Amanda Orme — Google review
Our table reserved in advance and on arrival we were immediately shown to our table. We ordered drinks and our meals at the bar - one surf and turf medium rare and one surf and turf medium. We had to wait around 40 minutes although it was quite busy. Unfortunately my steak arrived and it was exceedingly well done. I had to go to the bar and wait a few minutes to attract the attention of a member of staff. The plate was changed and a new steak arrived about 10 minutes later which was perfect except without the scampi. Again I had to go to the bar to get a staff members attention. I waited a further 7 or 8 minutes and the scampi arrived. My wife enjoyed her meal and said her steak had been perfectly cooked. I have given a relatively high score mainly because of the food we eventually ate albeit not at the same time. The staff were all quite pleasant and it seemed a very nice pub.
Tony Howarth — Google review
Been here a few times because it's convenient. But it's always been pretty much the same. There's always been a relatively large queue to order food and drink. Just 2 staff behind the bar. Lucky because often there's just 1. To be fair once you've had the patience to do this the food isn't bad. Our waitress was very helpful, she even found us a table and sorted out the missing chair. Would I recommend it? Not really. Will I go again? Probably. Oh! They'd run out of Guinness as well ... seriously!
jonathan white — Google review
Our service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated in an area that wasn’t crowded as requested and served very quickly. All four of us enjoyed our meals and drinks which were very good value and no complaints at all. All around a lovely dining experience :)
Nicki Rogers — Google review
Staff efficient and friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced. Nice environment. Would have preferred if there was a family area (a few crying toddlers when having catch up with a friend).
Gillian Heather — Google review
Lovely place.. staff were very helpful from when we arrived. Food arrived quickly and all the meals were well presented and delicious. Will definitely revisit .. the 30% voucher was also appreciated. Only downside was that there was no Pedigree on tap.
Libby Heath — Google review
The food was nice, but we were at the pub for 3 hrs, considering we pre-ordered our food we felt we should have been served much quicker. We had to chase servers for our main meal to be bought out twice, then we had to again chase servers twice again for our puddings to be bought out too. We felt like we spent most of Boxing Day at the pub waiting for our food. 3 of our party ordered cherry bonbs for pudding but we had a phone call to say they had to choose other choice as there was a supply problem, 2 ordered the ice cream sundae which we were told over the phone would consist of vanilla & chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces and fresh cream, marshmallows and chocolate sauce, when they came out all that was in the sundae dish was just 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate sauce on them, basically it was just a dish of ice cream - very disappointing for a celebration pudding.

Bought my daughter in for a surprise treat after doing well at school. She had Pizza which was lovely and freshly made to order, I had the steak which was cooked beautifully. The service was prompt for a fairly busy tea time, and the staff were very friendly.

Came here for a family get together. Burger and drink deal is good value for money, and the cowboy burger is delicious! Staff friendly, and the atmosphere was great! Will definitely be coming again.

Had an amazing experience, staff was lovely 😍 food was served hot, steak was cooked great. Kids loved the meals atmosphere was superb, everyone very helpful. Pub decorated nicely they even had a leprechaun in a Christmas waistcoat. Totally recommended. Thank-you

We enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s Day meal here the staff were super friendly and helpful, the restaurant was spotless and I thought the candle and rose petals on our table were such a lovely touch. Our food was absolutely delicious and it was fantastic value for money.

A wonderful little treat for myself, my 2 daughter's and my grandson whom couldn't wait for his dipping donuts so I asked the staff if he could have them to start with and they were most welcoming so we had one happy little boy. The food was tremendous and such good portions. Overall it was a fantastic start to Christmas, carry on the good work xx

I recently visited La Terrazza Ristorante Italiano, a highly recommended establishment. The cuisine was exceptionally delicious, and the service provided was excellent. For starters, I indulged in the delectable Scollop and Prawn fresh ravioli dish. As for the main course, I opted for Chicken stuffed with Asparagus and cheese in a field mushroom sauce. Underneath it all, there were superb breaded courgettes.
Another fantastic meal here. Fully recommend top notch food and service.

Possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. Staff were lovely and friendly, and food was so good it was absolutely incredible. Nice atmosphere too ! Worth more than 5/5 stars - simply to die for.
Sam — Google review
Me and my partner visited the restaurant after hearing amazing reviews from some of our friends. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The menu isn’t too big but has more than enough choice for anyone who loves Italian food. My partner was unsure of what to order and was assisted by who I believe to be the manager. We were guided through the menu and were provided with all of the information we needed to make our choice. We ordered the deep fried pizza balls as a starter and two separate pasta dishes. All of the food was incredible! We want to take a moment to thank all of the staff who made our first visit so enjoyable and we will most certainly be back in the near future!

Went on Wednesday for my birthday meal and it was great! Sat us early on a nice big table in the corner and food was amazing! Great service all night and good value for money, I never had an empty drink! Our first visit but deffo will be back! Thank you!

A Little Gem. Do not hesitate to give this restaurant a try. The service was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious with perfect portion size. This was our first visit and won't be our last. I have a cheese allergy and my wife has a shellfish allergy, both easily accommodated. Huge menu choice proving that there is far more to Italian food than pizza and cheese.

Absolutely brilliant.Staff were very attentive.Food was excellent. Our first visit. We have been to a few Italian Restaurants around the area and Birmingham and this is amongst the best.Well done and I hope you can maintain the high standard.Seats are not too close together which can be off putting in some Italian Restaurants.Atmosphere was good too. Will definitely visit again in the New Year.

Working away and seen this place had some good reviews so I had a go. The food was amazingly tasty, and the service was really good, I had the Scollop and Prawn fresh ravioli starter, Chicken stuffed with Asparagus and cheese in a field mushroom sauce, also had breaded courgette underneath which were stunning. Sides of Garlic and Rosemary Roast Potatoes, peas with pancetta and onion. The staff were really friendly and by the amount of people in there in a Tuesday its clearly popular. Thank you to the chefs and waitress for a lovely evening Follow me in Instagram #teamnewnes

Goodness me, don't hesitate, go. I have a few dietary issues and wow my meal was flipping fantastic, proper old fashioned hospitality welcome. Wish I lived in Rugeley as would book a regular weekly table. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place, I felt like I had a spaghetti hug. I am from Italian ancestry and it felt like going home. My lovely meat and 2 veg husband ate pasta that wasn't spaghetti bolognaise, the first time I have seen this in 40 years, he loved it. ⭐
Deborah Foxley — Google review
Staff were very friendly and quick to seat us before our sitting. Food was delicious but did have to wait a little longer than would of liked. Also waiting for drinks top ups was disappointing. Was also a little too warm once more people arrived as seating was close. Overall with the staff and food being excellent it didn't put too much of a dampener on the evening for son's birthday meal.x

Delicious food, friendly service, staff very welcoming and accommodating of dietary issues. We all chose different things and it has a main menu, Christmas menu along with specials menu and a dessert display. Wonderful wine list.

Absolutely 5 * star restaurant. We turned up on a busy night without a booking and the owner of this family run Italian restaurant was able to find us a table quickly. Food was just superb. Best Italian restaurant I've ever visited. Service was great, courteous and with a very friendly house team. My pasta and meatball starter was amazing and my main dish of Lasagne was so tasty and well prepared. Highly recommended place to eat.

Indian restaurant
During a group outing at Silsila Indian Cuisine, the 10 diners were warmly greeted by the staff. The food was served promptly and accurately, impressing everyone. One person made the mistake of ordering an extremely spicy main dish, but found it delicious nonetheless. The Manager personally attended to their struggle and even arranged for a yogurt to help alleviate the heat. Despite being defeated by the spiciness, the Manager kindly offered a less spicy alternative and insisted that it had been a good choice.
Absolutely amazing service and food was outstanding. Highly recommended and worth a visit
Darren Tratt — Google review
I was quite disappointed with the two curries I bought to take away. One was too sweet, while both had far too much sauce, lacked spices and needed about 20-30% more meat. Both had red food colouring and so looked exactly the same. Some pieces of chicken were quite tough as if not freshly cooked from raw. The only positive was the ghobi bhaji side dish which was more flavoursome. The Raita was just plain yoghurt, no cucumber or mint. The peshwari naan was a bit limp and fruit rice a little dry. The chutnies were not homemade - just cheap sweet sauces in sealed pots. Overall, not worth the price and I would not order takeaway from here again. The delivery was quick and service from Maz pleasant so thumbs up for that.
Arun Allen — Google review
We loved this little restaurant. The staff were really attentive and the food was delicious, would recommend a trip there! All dishes are reasonably priced and the restaurant is just the right size for you to enjoy your own privacy but also not to feel lost in if you were the only people on there. The phone was constantly ringing and customers wanting to come in and dine for the night. As it was our first night in Rugeley we can only comment on that night but it was very popular indeed and judging on the amazing food and friendly atmosphere we were not surprised at all. The staff seemed to know some of the customers by name as they were chatting with them so we assume they also have regular return customers.

I am working in the area and thought I’d give it a try. Quite honestly it was the best chicken biryani I have ever had. Very generous portions and the sauce was to die for. Amazing service too. Jay and Zak were great hosts. Highly recommended. Give it a try . You won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely love this place. Always a warm welcome. We have been to many Indian restaurants but rate this as the best food of all of them. First class, bags of flavour. Thanks Silsila. Back soon!

Amazing food, great service! Thank you very much :-)
Lindaj Max — Google review
On a work night outing, the 10 of us dined at the Silsila Indian Cuisine and were very warmly created by all of the staff. All food came out on time for everyone with zero mistakes, very impressive. I foolishly chose a main that was way way way too hot for myself to handle, however the main itself was tremendous in taste. The Manager overseeing my personal struggle made sure to keep tabs on me, even going as far as having a yogurt put together in the kitchen to get me through it. Even after defeat the Manager offered another main of a less volcanic heat but insisted it had been my choice and that I did in fact love the hot main, top man. This level of service was high standard and I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a decent night out for food. Thank you 🤙🏻

Had a takeaway from here tonight came looking like they had been windmilling the bag rang and asked for a replacement they sent me another curry even though it was the whole order that was covered in curry then the driver told me ring the manager and walked off ended up having to get in my car at 23:45 to take the order back and get a refund safe to say I won’t be ordering from here again
Craig — Google review
Waited over ninety minutes for a delivery. It tasted fine but would have been more enjoyable if it had been hot didn’t bother phoning to complain, it was on plates before we realised the temperature and we were to hungry to mess around trying to rectify the situation. I have given one star because the delivery driver was a nice chap.

Colliers Table Table is a trendy pub that offers a variety of classic international dishes, grilled meals, and burgers. It provides an enjoyable dining experience for families, where they can savor delicious food with a contemporary twist. Despite occasional understaffing, the friendly and helpful staff ensure prompt service and regularly check on customers. The meals are not only delectable but also affordable. Visitors consistently appreciate both the welcoming atmosphere and the cool demeanor of the staff at Colliers Table Table.
Came here on mother's day for a meal, and got told straight away that they were a bit short staffed, so we thought it might be a while until we were served. Within only a few minutes of being there, we had someone serving us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with more than one coming over to check on us. The meal was lovely, affordable and tasted really good! Couldn't fault it at all. Big thanks to the members of staff who made us feel welcomed and made it a meal out to remember.

Went here for my birthday with my son's. Had a lovely meal. Karen looked after us and she was very busy, but still made sure she checked on us,if anything we needed. Really had a lovely time

Went here for the 2 for 11.99 offer. It's great value too. We had starters which added another 6 quid but still great value. Service a bit on the slow side mainly because the lovely serving lady was having to do everything as the other lady did next to nothing. Overall an ok place to go for food.
John Higham — Google review
VERY poor customer service in regards to how we were treated, walked out after waiting 35 mins to have any order taken, although 5 different members of staff walked past in that time. Yes, we could have asked for service, but when showed to table "I'll be straight back for your drinks order" we were told! And it was an evening out with table service, not self-catering. Maybe the member of staff on maternity leave who arrived with the newborn was a greater distraction(we know she is a staff as she has served us previously).

We came across this restaurant by chance on the way to Alton Towers late the other evening. The food was really great. Very friendly and efficient staff. Karon and the others could not have been more friendly or efficient. Really tasty food with great menu choice.

Well was a nice meal until we ordered dessert… forgot to mention they didn’t have any strawberries then decided to give us the wrong sundae, witch was sour frozen berry’s… I wasn’t happy so they took it back not offering us any other dessert….then proceeded to sit at the bar and share the sundae between them all, using the same spoon while we all know covid is on the rise, I know one member of staff was called Chloe along with 2 other members…. due to her glowing reviews we decided to eat here, I will not be back… absolute joke

Just passing on our way home and wanted somewhere to eat. We had no prior knowledge so called in with no great expectations and in fairness based it another pub chain that should be OK. However we were welcomed in with politeness from all of the staff, excellent service and a standard and level of food above our expectations. The main meals were very well presented, hot, well portioned and extremely tasty having been cooked perfectly. Dessert followed and again were 2 of the nicest sundaes we have had for a long time, well presented, well made with layers that meant all parts were as good as the first mouthfuls. Therefore all of our original expectations were well and truly surpassed making it a most enjoyable experience through service and food. Looking forward to the next time we are passing by.

Went for a drink, and on arrival, lady behind the bar told me that I would have to wait whilst she served 3 tables, I waited patiently for over 10 minutes before leaving. Went to a nicer place down the road. Thanks to everyone at the Ash Tree for taking the time to look after your customers.

The food was lovely. Really enjoyed it. The service was good apart from when we first went in, had to wait for a while to get a drink. There was nobody really designated to stay on the bar to serve drinks. Other than that, enjoyed it. Xx

My parents often go to the Colliers with friends and for myself this was my second visit after moving to Rugeley; on this occasion I went with my folks for my birthday lunch and I cannot thank enough for the fabulous, friendly and fun (banter always a plus) service provided, the food was spot on; tasty, filling and good value, and then of course I enjoyed a couple of lovely glasses of wine (it was my birthday!). We highly recommend and have decided to frequent and to be honest, I would be happy to dine alone here. Thanks guys

As always in my experience, good food, good value with excellent Customer Service. April was our waitress and what an amazing effort she made to make our family Christmas get together special. Well worthy of travelling out of our way to eat here. Would certainly recommend and we will definitely keep coming back

We have been staying in the adjacent motel for 4 days over Easter so have had 3 breakfasts and a carvery so far; the abiding impression is of a lack of staff but reasonably good food for a restaurant of this type. However, the few staff present were invariably helpful and friendly. Breakfasts have been the worst examples of under-staffing with queing right back to the doors, apparent IT glitches over booking times, and a lack of items on the hot buffet and queus for drinks, toast, cereals and jams. Given proper staffing levels, the dining experiences could have been so much better.

We love coming here the food is great every time and the staff are lovely. Amy our server was amazing and really looked after us! Would 100% recommend. It’s our go to for date nights and family meals.
