Pub
Restaurant
The Bath House, established by David Green in 1990 at the young age of 21, holds the distinction of being the youngest landlord of a free trade pub in England and Wales. Throughout the years, Green has dedicated himself to crafting a welcoming and family-oriented local establishment. Situated by the seaside with views of both the sea and pier, this pub offers amiable service and an unexpectedly sophisticated ambiance for its Walton location.
Excellent and great value - staff were brilliant, great service, good atmosphere and very good value - very impressed and would recommend. Had a few drinks there during the last couple of days and decided to go to their Wednesday streak night, really not disappointed.

This place looks a little tired from the outside but is nice on the inside. The staff were pleasant and the food was lovely. I would recommend for a bite to eat.
Jon ellisdon — Google review
We had heard locally that the bath house was a good place to eat I have not been there in many years and personally found it not very inviting. We went on a Monday night my mum and I and we're rather shocked at the very small menu. We'd gone on their steak night. The alternative menu was very small and not a lot of options but I thought this would be the case. But overall we had a burger chips and onion rings and it was ok. I would probably go here for a drink but not for the food unless there are better options

The best Sunday roast I have ever eaten A+ Only negative, poor toilets...

Excellent Steak Night last night. 2 really tasty tender steaks all the trimmings and bottle of wine £34.99. Great Value for money.
Linda Hawcroft — Google review
This was my first visit to The Bath House despite living fairly locally to Walton. Having read the reviews and listening to word of mouth I decided to give it a go. In a nutshell the Sunday roast the three of us had was simply sublime. The roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy. Portion sizes generous. Meat cooked to perfection. Beef was tender as was the pork and the cracking was done beautifully. The interior of this establishment is reminiscent of a man’s working pub but it’s relatively easy to oversee this when observing everybody having such a nice time. The staff were attentive and welcoming and as it was Mother’s Day I was offered a free glass of Prosecco which was an added bonus. I would definitely return as in my opinion. The Sunday roast is far superior than other establishments locally including the fine dining experiences in nearby local towns. Thankyou and well done to The Bath House x

Great service, catered for a party of 17 no problem. Food was good and plentiful we will most definitely be back.

Visited here at the tail end of the summer season when the children went back to school. The lady serving was very helpful and obliging so we were very optimistic....then a group of colourful locals dropped in, effin' and jeffin' and very loud. Sadly it was all downhill from there, the spare ribs were just that, all rib and precious little meat, an unpleasant taste and "falling off the bone" would have been impossible. The chips were fine so I ate those and we made our escape. It could have been an off night as I see lots of goods reviews on Google but unfortunately ours was a very poor experience.

1st class service from all bar staff and waitresses. Landlady accomodated us for a quick sunday lunch whilst visiting Walton and they did not disappoint. Really welcoming. I had steak pie and daughter had something with lashings of gravy 🤣 Absolitely gorgeous mash - from a Yorkshire lass that's saying summat haha! Both had lovely puddings. Mine was apple crumble but ate before realising I hadn't got a picture 🤣 All home made 💜 top marks to chefs 👏 Served everything exactly as daughter needed. Thank you for listening waitresses and chefs 💜 They turned lots away whilst there so definitely book in advance. Locals really welcoming to us too- had a chat and told me to try belly pork next time. They sell out of sunday dinners but our choices off menu were spot on. Thanks all of you!

Our first visit to this fab pub today. Great staff (friendly + accomodating) & amazing food (freshly cooked + very generous), plus we got to sit right by the TV to watch the footie! Can totally recommend + great food options for veggies. We will be back.👌 😋 🙌

First visit, this place has massive potential. Landlady bubbly, kind and a friendly face...we will go back and try the food at some point which looks amazing, the pub deserves to be more busier, get yourselves down there....
kevin rowark — Google review
The food and service here was excellent, seems like a locals pub but very welcoming to tourists. There was a few of us and a dog but they had a table set up for us and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The deal of 2 steaks or fish and chips and a bottle of wine was a bargain! Would definitely go back!

Thai restaurant
I have visited numerous Thai restaurants, but without a doubt, Pearl of Samui Thai Restaurant stands out as my favorite. What sets this establishment apart is its long-standing, family-run nature. It exudes an authentic Thai vibe and creates a truly enjoyable dining experience. The service provided is highly personalized, especially for special occasions like birthdays where they even bring out cakes to make it extra special.
Amazing family run Thai restaurant. Fabulous character and amazing food. Such a relaxing atmosphere with genuine Thai feel

I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and In full confidence I can say this was my favourite. What’s not to love about going to a long established family run business! It was my girlfriends birthday and they made it special by bringing out cake and providing such a personal service. Food 10/10. Service 10/10 and atmosphere 10/10. I highly recommend for any Thai food lover! Thank you again!

Love this local, small, family run Thai restaurant! Have been a couple of times and the food is great, service is good and I would recommend it if you like Asian food and are in Walton on the Naze.

Excellent authentic food, lovely family atmosphere! I've been to Thailand many times and this was as good as it gets outside Thailand. Also thanks for being so hospitable with our baby daughter.

A real gem! The best Thai food I have had since Thailand, very reasonable prices and Pat was lovely, highly recommended! We had Tom Yum and Massaman curry, both of which were delicious!
Jane Stewart — Google review
Just had the most delicious birthday meal here. The food was amazing and having several dietary requirements, I felt safe and totally accommodated. The service was friendly and professional and this is totally going to be a regular place we visit. Thank you! Also have to say the service prior to booking was impeccable when I enquired about my dietary requirements.
luisa wharton — Google review
The Thai food here is delicious. It has great flavours and is much more authentic Thai than a lot of other places you find even in London. The family who runs it are very friendly and amazing hosts. I would definitely recommend this place as a food haven tucked in the area.

My preferred beachside kiosk is the Beach House Bar & Grill. They offer an excellent variety of food including chips, burgers, hot dogs, ice creams, and a limited post-Covid menu. The establishment has a lovely interior with a charming 60s Americana theme. Additionally, they have outdoor seating that captures the sun's rays. Recently, they were closed due to staff shortages but will be reopening in 2022 with a new offer.
NOW CLOSED - sign in window saying 'Shut due to staff shortages but back "with a new offer" in 2022' Wonderful beach cafe serving fish & chips and the like (limited post-Covid menu at the moment) ice creams and a small selection of alcoholic drinks alongside the usual hot and cold beverages. Pleasant outside seating area at the front which catches the sun and a nicely done interior with a 60s Americana theme. Love coming back here, which says it all

Previously called The Walton Restaurant. This sit down restaurant has it's food prepared by the fish and chip shop next door. The staff are very friendly. Decor and seating fresh and interesting. The menu selection was good - check board for current specials. The prices are good and quantities are good. The only thing that let them down is the fried foods we're a little oily. If this review is helpful please press like.

Just been here for lunch, seated 6 of us straight away. Great service from the lovely staff. Food was really nice, tasted amazing, the portions were perfect size and great value for money. I would definitely go back here again 👍💙

Great meal, with friendly helpful staff. We had the fish and chips and the vegan burger; both were delicious and cooked perfectly.

After a long ride in the hot sun, originally to visit Revved Up, we chose the Beach House because Revved up was packed and the Beach House had lovely umbrellas on the tables outside. So pleased we went that way. What a gem of a place. Great service, lovely cool shade under the beach umbrellas but the fish! Fabulous. My GF and I decided on place and haddock & each swapped half of our fish. She added curry sauce for her chips but I was hot enough so dipped out of that one. Both the plaice and the haddock were superb, really good fish perfectly cooked. As good as any I can remember having anywhere & probably better. The chips were just right. Crispy, tasty, what more do you want from a chip? I'm reliably informed the curry sauce had a nice bite to it. From what I could see of what some of our companions had, the burger looked pretty damned good, but who comes to the seaside to have a burger? The halumi in batter looked rather tempting too and everyone was very pleased with their food. Seriously worth making a trip to Walton on the Naze just to eat here. We certainly will.

Came by today for some lunch and it was lovely. We had the burgers and chips. Very good quality meat and the chips were cooked perfectly. A lovely girl served us and asked if my dog wanted water (100 brownie points 🐶❤️) very cheerful staff. Will definitely be back again

The kebab shop in Walton-on-the-Naze offers exceptional cuisine and impressive delivery service. Their food is delicious, and they are renowned for their high standards. Finally, residents can enjoy a satisfying kebab in the area. The portions may be smaller than expected, but the quality makes up for it. Among the top establishments in town, this eatery is known for its late operating hours that cater to those seeking a late-night takeaway option.
Your food is very good and your delivery service is excellent. Keep the good work up chaps. So glad to get a decent kebab in Walton-on-the-Naze at last 🙌

Order here often and have to say they actually cook the food properly unlike some other places with their anemic chips. QF have the crispiest chips, lovely portions, always tasty 😋 never had a bad thing from there

If I could have given 0 stars I would. I ordered a medium chicken kebab, it was so small, couldn't believe it, the chicken was so dry and the chips were awful. First and last time I will be going here.

Ordered through just eat which clearly states salad and sauce included. Didn't turn up with either. Also states 2 x hash Brown's turned up with 1. We phoned to see what happen and was told the hash Brown's were now bigger so comes with 1 not 2. We were told you have to specify salad and sauce otherwise it comes with nothing. The hash brown is not big it is a standard size. Joke... This is incorrect according to just eat website. They said they would sent the sauce and salad out then called again to say if we want it we have to order it. Apparently on the just eat site there is a box to click for salad which is a lie because I have rechecked it and there is not. Staff were snotty and uncaring would not recommend and won't be ordering again.
David Howard — Google review
Don’t order through their online system. What I ordered and what I received we’re entirely incorrect. And they only thing they were willing to do to correct it was for me order again. Told me I was wrong, not system.

Good Taste Cafe in Walton-on-the-Naze has been a delightful find for visitors and locals alike. Despite the occasional loss of direction in recent years, this gem of a cafe proves to be a real boost for the area. Their breakfast options, such as bacon baps and sandwiches, are surprisingly stuffed with generous amounts of bacon. The cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating and friendly staff who provide excellent service.
Excellent way to start our day. Superb sausage and mushroom bap .shame the latte came in a tall glass cup. Just my personal taste though!

I took a lady I was supporting on a day out to Walton. We went here for lunch. The staff were helpful and courteous. The food which was basic was well cooked. There were plenty of customers which is always a good sign of a decent cafe. My only issue was lack of vegetarian food. Having said that the halloumi salad roll was lovely.

Food took ages to arrive. Mine arrived stone cold and had to be sent back. Then the actual taste of the food was horrendous and we couldn’t actually finish the meal - went to Tesco for a sandwich in the end. Honestly would not bother at all. Over priced, lacking taste and horrible.

Easy 5 stars. Stopped off for Sunday morning breakfast and it was delicious. The ladies serving were really friendly. Lots of seating available…nice relaxed atmosphere. Very clean. If you’re in Walton and you fancy breakfast this is the place to go. Highly recommend.

Delightful! In recent years Walton has started to lose its way but then you suddenly find a gem like this... We opted only for a bacon bap and sandwiches with tea and coffee and was surprised by how crammed with bacon the roll and sandwiches were! What a wonderful find and a real boost for Walton-on-the-Naze...

Food not upto much.. rude service. Had a problem with my meal and got told its not a restraunt. Its a cafe. If there's one plus the apple crumble was nice. Which was the only positive I could take away.

Good Taste Cafe...what a joke...should be renamed to Rank Taste Cafe. Breakfast was awful.. poor quality cheap food..they couldn't even do the toast properly...don't go here theres a cafe opposite, try them. Staff could do with a smile....don't waste your money your only be disappointed. I can only assume all the good reviews are fake here
