Al Forno Restaurant is a great place to go for Italian food in Kingston. The atmosphere is atmospheric and the food is delicious. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Visited this restaurant for the first time last week and it was amazing! I had the goats cheese starter and the pesto pappardelle as the main and both dishes were delicious. Truly authentic Italian food. The atmosphere was great and the staff were really nice as well. They weren’t rushing us to leave even when they were tidying up at the end of the night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kingston! I will certainly be returning.

Overall a really nice experience. Service was good and the atmosphere for a Monday night was buzzing with a good vibe. Portions are really good size and we had no complaints from out party of 9 - we all had starters and mains. There is multi storey parking nearby but be warned for large cars spaces and turning circles are tight. Nice food and good service will return!

Extremely happy with the service throughout. Did not get the gentleman's name but was very good with recommendations and service throughout. Drinks and food was served in a timely manner which I was impressed with. Only disappointment was that waiter started clearing away crockery whilst others were still eating - but would visit again :)

Fantastic Italian restaurant in Kingston. Much better food than any of the 'Italian' chains in and around Kingston, and not far off on price either. The atmosphere is going to be abit of a love it or hate it for alot of people. It's very warm and friendly, but also very loud and involved. If it's somebody's birthday — they will come out shouting Happy Birthday with multiple guitars. If that's your kind of thing then you'll love this place. If you prefer a quite dinner and to be largely left alone, then maybe not. I didn't sit outside, but I assume that's going to be a bit quieter, even when you factor in the cars and street noise. Food was fantastic throughout. The cheese bowl/crown with the risotto is a great idea because it adds an incredible cheese flavour to the risotto. The carbonara was superb too. Plenty of pancetta and good flavour. The desserts were to die for. We had the Pistachio Ice cream and the Chocolate Souffle. Individually they were phenomenal, but they worked even better together. The pistachio ice cream is mainly vanilla ice cream, but with a light pistachio crust, and a gooey pistachio core. If you like pistachio, you'll love this. It's a must try. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely meal here last night. We were about to go to zizzi but spotted this place and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did! Amazing authentic home cooked Italian food served by Italian staff with real pride. Reasonable prices and very clean. Would 100% go back. The pics were taken after a few mouthfuls as it looked too nice and we were so hungry!

I found this restaurant by googling family restaurants in Kingston. I went based on the great reviews and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I'll definitely be returning.

Love this place. They have amazing pizza and even better pasta ( frutti di mare - hats off!). Good selection of wines and few beers in their offer. I would definitely recommend this place to all Italian food lovers.

Fantastic Italian restaurant located just outside the main area of shops and restaurants in Kingston. The food is absolutely delicious! The pasta, especially you can tell is freshly made and tastes absolutely incredible. There’s nice selection of drinks and Italian wines available and also a good dessert menu too. One nice thing I suggest doing if you’re eating out with a few people is to order a few Starters and Mains and share to try as many dishes as possible. I specifically recommend the Calamari and the Pesto Pasta… You can get a tasty meal all for a really competitive price. The staff is absolutely lovely and friendly and the restaurant itself has a really cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit when in Kingston!

Really authentic Italian restaurant, fabulous pizza and a varied menu. Service was exceptional. Shame it's not closer to home.

This is the best Italian restaurant for miles! We been coming here for last 10/12 years and never had a meal which wasn’t great. The garlic chilli prawns appetiser is always brilliant and so are their pastas and fillet steak. Fabio and his team are absolutely fantastic. Thank you!

Very nice atmosphere and vibe. We had dinner with no reservation and there was no issue to accommodate us. We had octopus, mussels, pizza margherita and pizza with friarielli sausage and nduja that I highly recommend as well the fabulous gelato. You can feel the Italian hospitality coming from the whole staff. On this topic I would like to thank our waiter Pietro that went extra miles for us. See you soon guys!

Mezzet Dar Tapas is a Lebanese restaurant that offers delectable Middle Eastern flavors. They embody their slogan of believing in friendship and delicious food through their warm service and mouthwatering Lebanese dishes, earning them the esteemed 2021 Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award. This local favorite boasts a lively ambiance with cozy interiors, and during the summer months, they open their windowed doors to the street.
I have been visiting Mezzet Dar Tapas for 2 years now and I still love the food and the wine like in my very first time. What makes me come back is the friendly service of this place, this time provided by Ali, who simply made me feel home with sharing his background story and having the same taste in food. See you soon again Mezzet!!

Great food and wine with friendly, prompt service. Just make sure you book the right 'Mezzet'. We thought we'd booked the restaurant two doors down but it appears not! Whilst we were in there, others came in equally confused. But it was a great evening nonetheless!

I am a regular customer. It has an amazing warm atmosphere where we enjoy the very delicious Spanish Tapas along with fine wine. But the most particular thing about this restaurant is their welcoming staff, always smiling and ready for our orders.it is definitely an exceptional restaurant that we advise everyone to visit it.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzet Dar. It was not just the delicious food that made my experience memorable; it was the exceptional service and hospitality provided by Jonas, our attentive server. From the moment we entered the restaurant, Jonas greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome. His enthusiasm and passion for the restaurant and its offerings were immediately evident, and it set the tone for an extraordinary dining experience. Jonas' knowledge of the menu was extensive, and he took the time to explain each dish to us in detail. Not only did Jonas excel in his role as a server, but he also went above and beyond to ensure our utmost comfort throughout the evening. He checked on us regularly, ensuring that our glasses were always filled and that we had everything we needed. His attention to detail was impeccable, and he anticipated our needs even before we voiced them. I highly recommend visiting Mezzet Dar and experiencing Jonas' outstanding service firsthand. You can trust him to provide exceptional recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of remarkable.

Compact Tapas bar with decor that just gives you enough of a hint that you could be in the Mediterranean somewhere. Good choice Tapas on the menu with the Lamb in particular being the star of the show for me. The Patatas Bravas was an interesting interpretation of a Spanish classic, never seen it done like that before.

Went last night with a friend and it was terrific! Delicious food, lovely lager and cocktails and excellent service. Love the decor too. Will recommend 😍

Such a nice restaurant. Very friendly staff and good food. It’s a lovely place for dinner and lunch. The lamb and octopus are must try. Recommend. :)

Great cocktails, good food & friendly attentive service ... but empty so not a great atmosphere.
Richard Heptonstall — Google review
We dined here last weekend as a group of 8 to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were seated in the little room which gives a special feeling of privacy. Although two ladies were also sat there, they enjoyed the atmosphere along side us and even bought a dessert for the birthday boy! The service from Valentino and Ariel was brilliant, they made great cocktails, bought our tapas style food out at a steady pace and looked after our needs very well. The food here is excellent, in particular we enjoyed the lamb topped houmos and calamari, the halloumi also deserves a mention as does the blackened cod. We were too full for dessert but the birthday thoroughly enjoyed his treat from the neighbouring table. It wasn't our first visit, we've been a couple of times before, it has never disappointed.

Went to Mezzet Dar for dinner. The food was amazing had tapas and I was impressed with the sizes you get more than enough for the price you pay, the fish was fresh and delicious as well as the prawns which were my favourite the lamb was also very good. W e tried several plates/tapas and all were well presented and taste divine. The staff was extremely helpful and kind especially Jonás the Manager who helped and advise with the dishes choices, he is always smiling and very pleasant will definitely come back and 100% recommend it !

We just had a meal at Dar and was disappointed. Having eaten here before privately and for a large party it seemed strange that things were very different. The starter of prawns was lovely but my chicken was very dry and overcooked so could not eat much waiter did not seem interested! The lamb my husband ordered was very undercooked. The waiter did not ask how it was to be cooked it was all red not pink! Sadly was totally put off when previously recommended to all friends,

Fish & chips restaurant
Seashore Fish Kitchen is a reliable choice for those seeking gluten-free fish and chips. When the regular GoTo for Gluten Free Fish and Chips didn't have any gluten-free batter, Seashore came to the rescue with their high-quality, tasty alternative. The portions are generous, and they use top-notch fish and potatoes. The staff are friendly and welcoming, whether you're dining in or getting takeaway.
1st time ordering SeaShore from JustEat... was very happy... fish was delicious! crispy light batter and succulent juicy flavourful fish... chips were lovely too... defo a top class place... will order again soon... thank you! 9.5/10! A++ service!
Kanan Nallainathan — Google review
After eating a few chips I found a coarse black hair, much like beard hair. Had to throw the portion away. I was on my way to work and could not go back, but took a photo. When I went back a few days later they brushed it off and apologised and told me it’s because they have so many people working behind the counter and that it’s the first time they’ve heard of that and I should bring them straight back next time. In response to the restaurants reply…I have added a photo of your place to show exactly where I purchased these chips. This matches your photos and address online..so I am not mixing up anything up here.
Lara F — Google review
Pros = nice restaurant, location. Cons = no flavor in chips, poor quality sausages and sausage and batters. Arrogant staff.
Surbiton Kingston — Google review
Despite my family being regular customers my friend and I went at 9.15 pm to have a quick fish and chips to eat after a long day at work (it was Friday) and were offered the option of eating in but then were quickly refused saying they close at 10pm . We said we just want a quick meal but they said no. Quite rude and unhelpful and disappointing considering the amount of service we had given them.
Amanda Bullen — Google review
This must be one of the best fish and chips restaurant in the Surbiton/Kingston area. The fish is cooked to perfection (can specify with batter or unbattered) and the chips are nice and chunky. You have to give it a try- if you can get past the queues! Booking highly recommended on Fridays and weekends.

Decent fish and chips, good if your feeling a nice cheeky bite with the lads. Staff are friendly, seems like a nice family owned business

So, my regular GoTo for Gluten Free Fish and Chips had run out of Gluten Free Batter, but I remembered seeing a sign in the window of Seashore, so I popped in there. I must say their Gluten Free Batter is some of the best I have had. Chips were excellent as well. Good sized portions here and you can tell that they use quality fish and quality potatoes. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome, even for just takeaway. I did see some plates being sent out to diners in the restaurant area and they looked tremendous value and well presented. Top marks from me.
Ian Turnbull — Google review
I'll start by saying I teetered between 2 & 3 stars on this place, but the people there are friendly so will lean on the generous side. Nothing is inherently 'bad' with this place but then nothing about it is great either. The good - the portion sizes are pretty reasonable in fairness, and as mentioned, the staff very happy to help and serve. The not so good - the chips, and even more so the fish are, for want of a better word, decidedly average. You're left with a feeling of 'well that was that then' once finishing a portion, neither content nor discontent. Bland and of not great texture if I were to be brutal about things. All of which could be forgiven if it weren't for the fact that, if we're all being honest, the place is overpriced. Not sea-sure I'll be returning
James Grant — Google review
I don't usually write reviews after I visit a certain place for the first time, but these guys deserve it. We just moved to the area, checked a bit reviews online, and this place seems to have been rated well. We were not dissapointed. Every single thing they could do well, they did it well. Food was great, they asked what I liked, so I removed the salad and had chips with my batterless haddock, and they even offered to include peas even though peas don't come with that (as per the menu)! Nothing was a problem. So I basically had a "modified" batterless haddock to my liking, for the same price. All the staff that were there had a big smile upon arrival and when leaving. There's just a good atmosphere in the place, you can sense it when you walk in. I will be going back there for sure! Well done guys, truly great service.
Matija Kamenaric — Google review
This is an old style fish and hips shop with a restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is consistently high quality. The fish is cooked to order so there may be a delay, it's also popular so expect queues and lot's of collections. Recommended
Vince Vinnyp — Google review
Jan 2018 Name of this place is “PISCES FISH KITCHEN” on their menu but on the outside sign is still Seashore Fish Kitchen very odd. Far too expensive, staff arguing amongst themselves while serving customers, very poor greetings and customer service towards new and regular customers like us...we use to go and get a cod and chips takeaway once a week, but no more as they are very pricy and the treatment you receive is far from satisfactory...shame because the quality of food is not bad compared to other fish&chips restaurants and the chips are the proper big chunky cut chips! very good when drained properly! The interior had a make over not long ago and now the kitchen is completely open...very bad idea if you don’t have proper suction units to get rid of the smoke caused by the fryers... In fact you come out smelling of fry food after 5minutes spent in there...awful!!! Also they use to have a 50% off offer if you purchased your fish at lunchtime, but that was before the refurb, now there is not difference and prices have increased a bit too much for us... 2 cod and chips takeaway almost £18. I am leaving 2 stars because the last few times wr found black hair on the food and twice the fish had bons in it (I fear price had increased and quality has lowered) alsi becau they are closed on a Sundays, and on Saturdays at 10pm it's already shat... because of the smell of fried food left on your clothes when you come out of that place, for the staff rudeness, and because of the manager not being the most friendly person and not good either to acknowledge regulars... sometimes even a simple smile would do...or an “Hi sir, nice to see you again”... When we enter the place we always say to him things like “Hi there how are you” or “Hi there nice to see you, how are you doing today?” and he doesn’t even respond...very sad...and fundamentally “not good manners” for a manager/owner of a business.

I wish I could rate it higher than 5*! Quite possibly the best owners you could ever meet, most delicious fish and chips. You won’t find better service anywhere!

The Six Restaurant at Hampton Court takes its inspiration from Henry VIII's wives and offers a diverse menu featuring local ingredients. The restaurant provides a modern twist on traditional dishes, allowing guests to savor an elegant three-course meal or indulge in classic fish and chips. Visitors praise the warm and accommodating staff at the Kings Arms Hotel, where The Six is located, as well as the well-presented standard fare.
My family and I dined at the Kings Arms Hotel on 16.9.23. From the start, staff are warm, welcoming and accommodating. They got us seated immediately and brought over extra chairs as we required them. The impeccable service continued throughout, including inquiring how our meal was regularly and providing colouring pencils and sheets for the children with us. The food was standard but presented very well and all of it arrived at the same time, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we so enjoyed our visit. We would recommend this restaurant and its brilliant service to others.

We booked dinner here this weekend and were surprised when we arrived and it was quiet as the reviews were great. Well, we were not disappointed. The food here is absolutely brilliant. Very well seasoned and fresh with decent portions. Reasonably priced wine and 2-4-1 cocktails. Friendly, attentive service and lovely, well- decorated space. This place should be packed. If you haven’t tried it, you should. A real gem!

We didn’t have a booking and three of us were starving. The manager happily helped us get a table and said we have to return it by a certain time which was totally fine because we just really want to eat. We had eight types of tapas, chips and a bottle of wine. All of them were amazing and tasted homemade and made with love. Will def go back again when we’re back in the area.

Nice and clean restaurant with fresh ingredients . I found the dishes overpriced compared to other Mediterranean restaurants . The vegetables moussaka was presented more as a “ratatouille” then a proper moussaka. The grill was in a small plate (to look bigger maybe?!?) and difficult to eat. The service was good.
