Restaurant
Restaurante El Diablo is a unique dining experience located in the heart of Timanfaya Park, an area formed by volcanic eruptions. Designed by renowned architect Cesar Manrique, the restaurant offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding volcanoes and rock formations. What sets this eatery apart is its method of cooking - using the natural heat rising from the volcano to grill meat and fish dishes. Guests can even witness their meals being cooked in this extraordinary manner.
Can't beat the location! amazing views out over the lava fields. Food is great, can't replicate the unique grilled flavour. Food is cooked on a grill heated from the natural thermals below. Also a selection of local cheeses and cactus jams. Well worth a visit

A place where the process is more important than the result! This restaurant is located in Timanfaya National Park. It is unique in that its food is cooked on the pit of an active volcano. The views of the national park are breathtaking. The waiters are polite and the food arrived very quickly. We ordered the traditional chicken which was tender and tasty. Emotions left for life!
Marius Surplys — Google review
After a bus tour around the Timanfaya National Park to stop in this restaurant is a must. You can see how they cook chicken thanks to the heat coming directly from the Earth. Delicious food and an of course an amazing view. Quite busy during lunch time.
Elora Gnassi — Google review
We had a relaxing lunch with a wonderful view on Timanfaya National Park. Given the uniqueness of the experience (the panorama, the restaurant designed by Manrique, the meat cooked by the heat of the volcano) the place was neither crowded nor expensive. We had two appetizers, four pork-chicken screwers with side dishes, a kid combo plate (with french fries), water and bread for 55 euros. The restaurant, enclosed between glass walls, unfortunately suffers from a greenhouse effect, even in december. But it is bearable.
Lorenzo Di Biagio — Google review
A really cool place to eat when visiting the national park. The chicken grilled over the volcano heat was really cool and tasted great. The staff were very professional and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The prices are very nice compared to some other tourist places on Lanzarote.
Martin Skauge — Google review
The food was cold and the chicken dish had a weird cabbage/carrot side dish. The waiter asked us for drinks choice even before we properly sat down. The food came out in two minutes after ordering it. Seems like just wish to do a quick turnover. Don't expect good service. If waiters made a bit of effort, they could have a good tip, but they don't care. One plus - the views are amazing.
Dana Singh — Google review
Nice building with great views. Mediocre food at best. Ordered a medium sirloin steak, got a poor quality cut and it was barely pink inside. Don't go there just for the restaurant. Go there for the bus tour, enjoy the scenery and beautiful landscape. Then just grab some food if you're really hungry. You can view the "volcanic grill" without even entering the restaurant.
John — Google review
Horrible stuff is not nice at all they are rushing you to order. Tourist trap avoid. Park overall is not very different from the island as a whole. And the price that you need to pay to even get there is outrageous. Food was average sangria tasted horribly like the cheapest one you get from the shop and had added lots of sugar that didn't even dissolve anymore. The park around is basically a scam.
szymon sudo? — Google review
The view is great from the minute you pass the paystation, 12 euro pp but you get a bus tour out of it around the volcano. We waited in line in the car to get to the parking lot but got a few shots of the view. The food is nice, to suit all tastes but it's the novelty of it too, the desert was impressive too and tasty. The view from the restaurant it's great too. It's not a thing you do every day so I would recommend it and prices are reasonable.
Andreea Ciobanu — Google review
Chicken grilled by volcanic heat was good for me. Less greasy and the skin is crispy. My son’s pick was entrecote - he loves meat - and he liked it. Moreover, the ambience is extraordinary.
Jeonghee Byun — Google review
You don’t have to have the expensive food cooked on magma - they also do a nice selection of cheese and ham rolls and cheesecake and you can eat these on the central tables in the main restaurant, which still has great views…is that your tummy rumbling or the volcano..??
Peter L — Google review
Spent lunch at EL DIABLO after vistiting the Timanfaya Park. Parking is a bit limited but during Easter day wasn't so crowded ; Chicken cooked with the volcano heat kept the meat more uniform in terms of temperature / tenderness, very tasty even if price is too "turistic" (17.5 euro for half chicken with a small side dish). I suggest also to taste their Volcano Malvasia , probably a white wine taken from La Geria Region. Stunning view of the Volcanos from the terrace of the Restaurant.

Good restaurant at Timanfaya national park . Chicken was cooked using the GeoThermal Heat. Vegetarian food was also quite good . The sauce provided was also quite delicious

If you are on holiday in the Canary Islands and are looking for something special in Lanzarote, you should visit the unique restaurant El Diablo. In this restaurant, everything is prepared using the heat of the volcano - without electricity or gas. Discover Spain's most extraordinary restaurant. The El Diablo (“The Devil”) restaurant was built around a volcanic mouth and is located near Teguise in the center of Timanfaya National Park, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the most beautiful part of Lanzarote. Due to the geological conditions, the building could not be built on a conventional foundation, but was built on basalt slabs. This is because there is a 400⁰C hot lava pool just two meters below the restaurant. The chefs at El Diablo place their grills over the hole and cook the meat in a completely natural way. The technique was invented by a famous architect from the Canary Islands, César Manrique, who calls it the “volcano grill”. The restaurant serves all types of volcanically roasted food, including steaks, grilled chicken, sausages and potatoes, as well as exquisite fresh Canarian fish and seafood. El Diablo in Lanzarote also offers guests some of the best views on the island. The restaurant features huge glass windows that offer panoramic views of the national park's volcanic landscape, which stretches over almost 52 km2 down to the blue Atlantic Ocean. These are the “Montañas del Fuego”, the fire mountains of Lanzarote, which consist of around a hundred dormant volcanoes. Don't worry - the last eruption was about 200 years ago, so your steak won't be overcooked there... And what is the best: Outside the restaurant in a safe place special men will present you a „show“: They fill water in a hole in the earth and a few seconds later a hot water eruption comes out (a kind of geysir).

Great views across the National Park. Meat, which I don't eat, was, interestingly, grilled over the heat from the volcano. Service excellent.
Alexander Lewis — Google review
Food was suprisingly bad. Didn't know it was possible to make roasted bbq chicken taste so flavourless, even the steak was bad. Comes with mushy boiled veg and half a baked/boiled potato, also flavourless. Terrible value and terrible flavour. Coffee was good and staff were friendly and helpful. Overall recommend you avoid the restaurant, maybe the cafe is better.
Chrissy B — Google review
It is a restaurant on top of a volcano so it is hot, so hot that chickens are cooked using just volcanic heat! Personally feel the food are just ok but the experience definitely one to have.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Lanzarote. We visit at least one time each visit the island. The food is amazing, great quality and it has a great selection of dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive. A must visit!

On our way to Timanfaya national park we stopped here to have a coffee and a cake. Coffee was of an average local price of 2,5 euro and honestly it was nothing special for coffee lovers (cappucino was in a 2dcl cup). I really don't recommend to try a cake here. I ordered tarta de la abuela for 3,80 euro and it really was not good. It tasted like the cheapest pudding from a supermarket. The other cake tarta de la queso tasted a little bite like something plastic. Tapas might be good in here but coffee and cakes definitely not.

Delighted we found this place! Superb grilled fish of the day which came with some salad and canarian potatoes. The dessert menu was fabulous, a few desserts we hadn’t heard of during our time on the island. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We were on a bike ride and were able to sit on the patio out front and tuck our bikes around the corner still within view. We have marked this place to come back next time we are cycling here.

We loved our afternoon lunch at Gulliver Tapas Bar! We had typical tapas dishes to share and they were all great (pimientos del padron, tortilla, papas gulliver and queso de cabra). The staff was amazing, super attentive and friendly! We will definitely be back! Gracias y hasta pronto!

El Tenique is a roadside grilled-meats specialist, which is loved for its country feel and wine selection. There are a range of meats to choose from, including sirloin in red wine and roast kid, as well as succulent mixed grill. The restaurant offers plenty of seating with an extra chair available for customers who want to rest their legs. This clearly is a place where locals gather and celebrate their birthdays.

Delightful - delicious food, consistently good, with a good vibe and atmosphere and great menu. Orlando (the owner) really cares about you having a good experience, and his attention to detail is what you would hope for, but often don’t get. Avoid the touristy areas, come a little inland and enjoy this delightful place.

We are back after three years and this place is still the best one to have lunch or dinner on the island. Not only becouse delicious and fresh local food but also becouse very friendly staff and always nice atmosphere❤️

We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon and spent a couple of hours here eating in the sun. It was easy to reach and we could park nearby. Up on arrival we were friendly welcomed and I got an extra chair to have my leg rested. This clearly is a place where locals gather and celebrate their Birthday party. This place offers loads of meat, but as a pescatarian myself I was able to pick some good food as well.

T Bone is exceptional. Try the fried cheese as starter. Fish of the day is also perfectly grilled. In the middle of the island, you can’t go wrong.

One of the best meal we had on the Island ! Large terrasse by the road. But the food is super Nice ! We had the amazing lapas and the tastiest fried cheese (also a specialty from lanzarote !) Service was really nice ! We would go back for sure ! Really great stop on our way to visit the island !

Great service and a little raindeer as a seasonal addition to our desserts was a truly sweet touch. The Tbone steak serves 3-4 not 3 people. Really friendly and attentive approach and yummy food. Free spacious parking next to the restaurant.

Beware! In addition to bland food, this place will charge you for bread! Bread you didn’t ask for or order. They put it on the table like any other restaurant…. Next thing you know there’s 6 EUR charge on the bill. 1.50 EUR per person for bread! It’s robbery! And when you say something - that you didn’t order the bread, it was put on the table - they say, well you ate it! Unbelievable! In my 40+ years of going to restaurants I’ve never experienced such a scam. Now, let’s talk the food. We all had different items. All of them lacked any flavor. One seemed like it had zero seasoning whatsoever. It was as plain as you could get. I love grilled meat but seasoning is key. So we all were disappointed. Worst restaurant we have had on the island. With all the other restaurants on the island, I’d stay away from this place. Too many other places that are better and give more flavor and value for the money.

Very good restaurant with kind personal and quality meat ! 👍

Food is very delicious. Had to wait long time when someone come to take an order, but the biggest issue there - dozens of flies! I was really stressed due to that - instead of satisfaction from food, I was “fighting” with flies which were landing on my head, face, food etc. I haven’t seen such issue in other restaurants on Lanzarote. Somehow this issue should be solved by management because this is extremely annoying. Only because of that decided to visit other restaurants in this area for the next time.

Bangin spot for a bit o scran Brilliant service, lovely location, great restaurant. Had a couple of starters and then a beautifully cooked sirloin. Waiters incredibly accomodating. Price a lil steep, but I've come to realise the island is just expensive. Will definitely be returning one day! PS thank you Aitor for the lovely experience and impeccable service

We really liked the food and especially the lava cake, but it took us a long time to get the bill, and when it arrived, it turned out that we had to pay for a dishes that we had not ordered. very disappointed since this is a very undignified case for a good restaurant. I don't recommend this place

Best pizza of my life, really. And yes, I have traveled to Roma and Naples. The smoked mozzarella was amazing, the pizza paste Incredible and I could add some other toppings of my choice. Incredible. Don't hesitate and go there

Amazing food! We had pasta and pizza, both were so delicious. I’m usually picky with the pizza crust but the one here lived up to all my expectations! Also, great and enthusiastic service! Thank you!

Very welcoming stuff and good food. We will go back! It gets busy, so consider booking a table. Best by stopping by, because when it’s busy it difficult to reach them by phone.

From the reviews and just 1 £ we decided to try this place. The new waiter was very pleasant speaking very good English. The menu is via a QR code. It is very well set out and informative. The place wasn't full when we arrived but had filled by time we left. Takeaways were also being collected. We started with beef carpaccio this comes with sliced raw mushrooms, thick grated parmasan, celery and thick toasted bread, garlic cheese and tomato pizza which is thick crust very tasty but also very filling so best shared. For mains we had macheroni all'arrabbiata very nice but not enough chili for us even when drizzled with chili oil and a barbecue pizza which is thin crust again very nice but could do with a little more pork and chorizo (am I expecting too much for €9) Including 3 draft beers, tax and tip we spent €45

Really saving place for us, because we had nowhere to eat at 19 PM starting from Yaiza. It was full, but the owners found us a table. They are real Italians, very welcoming and friendly, so we had an amazing pizza and stunning dessert in a heart warming place. Recommended 100%

Stunning food for reasonable prices. Nothing was disappointing. The tagliatelle with salmon and prawns in creamy sauce with vodka was probably the best pasta dish I have had. Run by Italians.

Popped in for a pizza as nowhere else was open. Had been previously and didn't like the pizzas but it had been some time since my last visit so gave it a second chance and was pleasantly surprised this time. A pizza and a couple of glasses of wine, service was good, could do with being updated though

Absolutely amazing food!! We were staying at Club la Santa so walked to the Restaurant. We had booked as it's only small in there and know it can get quite busy. The staff were super friendly and attentive and again the food was absolutely incredible. We had the duck and mozzarella to start followed me the pulled pork and share the chocolate volcano cake. Can't complain about anything. All perfect. Would highly recommend a visit ✌️

Excellent! From the outside I never expected such a good restaurant. Great food, surved wearthy a Michelin star, but still fairly priced. Very friendly and correct staff. I recommend this place!! Came back this year, still the same, I still recomend this restaurant.

A very elegant restaurant in the heart of La Santa with amazing food as well as friendly, attentive service. The tuna tataki is absolutely out of this world - super fresh, super tasty, and it’s such a generous portion! The wine selection is fantastic - all the best local natural wines - and my glass was always topped up by the lovely Jhannys and Su! There is such a lovely atmosphere here and the whole table was in awe of how delicious the food was. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re after a relaxed dinner with a touch of class!

Delicious food by the same owner as Alma (the tapas restaurant 1 min away) - really good quantity and good prices. Not exactly Michelin star complexity but still amazingly delicious food that will keep you happy for a long time. This restaurant and Alma really put Club La Santa food to shame.

A must do on the island! Very delicious food where you really taste the freshness and quality of the food. Service was perfect at our two visits. Very attentive, friendly and quick. The size of the portion for the prices are quite small. We liked the simple menu, better less options but therefore on a very high level. Hopefully we can come back soon 🙏🍷🧆 P.S.: Also loved the interior design, well done
