Namtok Ngao National Park is a serene and compact location that features a hiking trail leading to a breathtaking natural cascade of water. For a small fee of 20THB per person, visitors can marvel at the stunning view from afar or take advantage of the built-in dam for water activities. A climb up to the falls view point offers an additional 350 meters of awe-inspiring scenery, but caution must be taken as it can be slippery.
A huge waterfall, the place is nice and clean, there are parking and public services, the walkway to the waterfall is easy Fees : 100 B for foreigners, Free for Thais 30 B Car Fee I recommend a visit 👍
Omar Talafeeh — Google review
The nature is great, but the accessible part of the park is not worth the entry fee (100 TBH for foreigners + 20 TBH for the scooter). The only thing in the park (which appears to cover a huge area on the map) is 500m of concrete path leading up to the waterfall. That's it. The whole visit takes 10 minutes. You can actually see the waterfall better from the highway. It's virtually dried up during the dry season. There is supposed to be another trail to the waterfall through the forest (as per the map at the main office), but that's marked with "no entry/danger" signs. It's readily apparent that the signs are there cause the trail isn't maintained. The staff are friendly, but they don't speak or understand any English. I had a (Thai government-sponsored) free-entry pass, but they didn't understand what it was and made me pay anyway. The one positive is that the ticket is valid for the Ponrang Hot Springs next door (you'll still have to pay another 20 TBH for actually using the hot springs).
Antonija Magaš — Google review
Definitely Rama 5th vibes! Simple but elegant. There is a room that isolated from the main house but connect with 30m. bridge and 10m. above ground. Anyway staffs are not attentive and they do close at lunch. Dont forget to visit marble Bhuddha near by.
Matthew Kingkaljana — Google review
It is a famous water falls of Ranong. It has nice scenery but it is not hard to walk and reach the view point.
Vikit Chaihansawat — Google review
A beautiful waterfall to visit in Ranong. 20 minutes by car from the city center you will see it directly from the road. It is high so you can snap some shots without entering the national park where you have to pay a fee 100 baht + 20 baht for a car parking. If you still wanna explore inside COVID rules are applied strictly here: they measure your temperature and ask to scan a code for way in and out too. Wear your mask. Inside there are social distancing reminders. No swimming due to Covid. However it’s a great place to visit without tourists. You can fully enjoy the peacefulness of the place. There are 2 tracks: natural for hikers and a concrete paved road for the rest. This is the second time I have seen so many beautiful big butterflies. The first one was in Khaen Krachan National Park. The weather in rainy season changes drastically so be prepared for short rainfalls.
Nathalie’s World — Google review
Small and clean place to be. Gather around and see the fascinating falls which can be seen miles away. 20THB per person. Nice view. Built in dam for those who like to get wet. Climb up for another 350 mtr to see the falls view. Below it got small built dam where fishes diminates it. If you love to climb more to view point, please have your shoes on ya because it will be slippery. So, chill and enjoy!!!
Syahabudin Mustafa — Google review
Amazing waterfall it's so high and you can see it come right from the top of the mountain. Lovely short walk from the car park we never made the view point due to heavy rain worth a visit.
Dave Kennedy — Google review
Went in to look at the waterfall, maybe just post a sign or tell people when it's worth seeing. I guess there had not been any rain lately so it was not at all worth going to, and the fee .. including the insulting foreigner fee

Punyaban Waterfall is a delightful natural attraction located near Route 4 in Ranong, Thailand. Unlike many other waterfalls in the area, Punyaban Waterfall is easily accessible from the highway, making it a convenient stop for travelers. The clear and cold waters of the waterfall offer a refreshing swimming spot with both shallow and deep areas. While some visitors find the waterfall to be less powerful during dry seasons, others appreciate its beauty and serene surroundings.
A very small waterfall but the little trail leading to it was fun to drive up. You go into a private home yard and walk through their place to get to the waterfall. Seriously small waterfalls but nice 👌 Little jungle exploring 😁
Gerard Wiseman — Google review
Love it. Need to pay for the entrance. Thais and tourist difference charges. Not expensive

Super accessible. It’s just by the highway. A 20-minute motorbike drive. Went there at earlier time to escape the crowds. There’s a fee which is not that bad and includes two more spots with the ticket.

Get nothing for 20/100 Baht! No restroom, no changing room, not even a rubbish bin! Pavements are dangerous and water purity is more than questionable. By the way, not possible to buy a bottle of water. Worth a minute stop without entering
Sam — Google review
Nice little waterfall by the road. Entrance is 40 baht for foreigners. Worth making a stop on the road.
Ilya Lebedev — Google review
Did not go in as its the dry season now. Waterfalls all quite dry.
Irene Chang — Google review
A very very close walk from the packing lot, water is so clear and cold and refreshing you can swim here or just sit around on the rock. It have both shallow and deep spot. A nice place to both stop and take a picture and go or spend hours in the water.
Sorravit Bunjongpean — Google review
Us usual foreign tourists have to pay 100B to visit. However this waterfall can be visible before entry gates. Medium attraction, not much powerful waterfall during dry season. Pay 100B just to walk 20m it's not worth. Local people come with water tanks to collect water probably free of charge. Free toilets in area is a plus.
Olya Sozera — Google review
Nice view and easy to access. The waterfall is beside the main road. This place is good stopover. If traveling to Ranong Friendly and polite Park Staff. Park entrance fee: 20 Bath /Thai person. Free for Elderly people aged 60 years and over.

Small waterfall, charges 100 baht for foreigners. You can see most of it from the bridge, and also walk to the other side there are "steps" at the drainage if it's. It to much water you can walk down and take your photo. Not worth paying as a foreigner

Ranong Canyon may not be the largest in Thailand, but it offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere as it is often less crowded. It's just a 25-minute scooter ride away and provides a relaxing environment where visitors can unwind on the grass or engage in the local activity of feeding the fish that inhabit the pond. Originally a mine, this canyon was transformed when workers accidentally struck a spring, filling it with water. Carp were introduced to enhance its beauty, and visitors are welcome to feed them.
A magnificent place to discover alone or with family. Thousands of fish, tilapia's and laws in the canyon pond. Nice and inexpensive little restaurants nearby. On the same road are the hot water springs where you absolutely have to go for a swim for a ridiculous price. And more water the dam, vast water reservoir with its serene and magnificent landscape. On the same road, the delicious Bellinees patisserie where you can find excellent French butter croissants and excellent coffee. Ranong is a place to absolutely discover.
Philippe HOUSIAUX — Google review
It’s a peaceful place away from the town center. Can do boating around the water but I did not do it instead I ask the boat owner about the accessible part up through the canyons. It was amazing!

Clear Water Pound with so many fish. You can also feed them bread. Also you can do Kayaking, Boating on the lake. 120baht per ride/hr

Nice place, there are parking and bathrooms, the road to it is beautiful.
Omar Talafeeh — Google review
Very quiet at time of visit. People came and went, mostly to feed the fish and take photos. We had a relaxing afternoon napping on a mat that was offered from a very kind gentleman. The mat was from one of the gazebos which we returned after use. Great place for kids and there are some paddling ducks in the lake. The place is well maintained and people generally keep the place clean. The toilets are also clean and well maintained. There are about a couple of stalls open selling simple foods
E Durman — Google review
Nice place for picnic and enjoy time with family. This place is surrounded by nature which used to be a mine. After the mine was closed they turn this place into a tourist spot. There are a lot of fish here from tiny to big fish. There are small shops across the street selling fish food so you can pet them. On the left side there is a hiking way to get to the top of mountain.
ize rippy — Google review
Good place, nice and quiet. Green water among the hill. Surrounding with nature. In the water has so many fish that you can buy fish food around that place and feed them. There has parking lot on the road opposite side of ranong canyon with few street food and beverage shop. The location is not so far from another 2 attraction of Ranong which is Som Pann dam and hot spring.
Kanthapohn Saikhao — Google review
Disappointed, but it was very clean. I cycled from town to get there. The ride was definitely better than the destination. It is a nice place. There is no 'canyon' to it.

Laem Son National Park is a coastal park that boasts magnificent coral reefs, rainforests, and mangrove swamps. It provides a peaceful and serene environment as it lacks commercial shops, restaurants, and other tourist attractions. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Andaman Sea in privacy with no scheduled boat or ferry rides. The park has a long clean sandy beach dotted with pine trees which earned it the name "Son.
Big nice sand beach but be careful about jellyfish

Its a national park therefore its not so convenient regarding shops, restaurant and whatnot. It is peaceful and quiet. No big commercial boat and ferry. No tourist flocking everywhere. No rows of souvenier shops. You have the boat to yourself and your company. You come and go as you please no exact schedule to follow. Andaman sea is beautiful as usual.

The place is controversial. It's a nice park with trees and flowers and it's good to walk around. There are statues and ponds but they are not being maintained. The statues require cleaning and the pond is just awful, it looks like it wasn't cleaned for months or even years, I don't think it is even safe to touch the water here. We tried to get inside the palace at 15:40 but the staff didn't allow us because it is closing at 16:00, which is kinda strange.

FarmHouse Hotel Ranong is a relaxed property located in a good location on the walking street. The rooms are clean and comfortable, making it worth the stay. The hotel features a restaurant called FarmHouse, which offers delicious food at reasonable prices with good service. It also has a souvenir shop for holiday shopping. The hotel provides an outdoor pool, small gym, and game room with a pool table, making it suitable for families with children.
Lovely place with very friendly staff. We had an issue when checking in: we arranged (in Thai) for a room with two beds in the most quiet part of the hotel. They tried to put us on the first floor right by the parking lot. We ended up on the 2nd floor with one big bed... Japanese style with the mattress on the floor... Not ideal, but it works. The breakfast buffet was superb. In the end, we're happy and would definitely stay here again. 😊

I liked how clean the hotel was and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and had a fridge, air con, fan, water boiler and a balcony. We had the nice pool all to ourselves for the afternoon. We only stayed for one night as we headed to the airport the next morning. You can order a taxi to the airport at the reception (around 30 minutes to the airport; 200 Baht/person). Breakfast is rather Asian, quite a large choice. There are mini markets, 7 Elevens, the Old Market and restaurants nearby, you can walk there in around ten to 15 minutes.

This hotel have 3 start which by thai standards is unfair. Most 3 star hotels outside of tourist resorts are bad, this is not. Everything is perfect, if I need to complain it's about the thai style breakfast. Restaurant is very good, location is very good and rooms are excellent.

Good location. Near to restaurants and pubs. There are outdoor swimming pool, small gym and a game room with a pool table. Nice to stay with children and family. Room is comfortable but I do not like the idea of ventilation from bathroom vented out to corridor. The restaurant adds much positive impression to me. Good breakfast with variety of Thai food, however, too few choices for western food. Good selection of wine and beer. At the price, this place is good value for money.
ST T. — Google review
The stay exceeded my expectations, breakfast was varied with both asian and western choices, to be fair if you are visiting ranong I would go for the Asian choices they were all delicious. The pool was refreshing and much needed, the facilities were wonderful and the service impeccable. We loved the small touches of the welcome egg which is basically a onsen egg. Will highly recommend

This hotel doesn't want you to check in at 12.15 and make you wait until 2 pm, despite a deserted parking and lobby. According to the front desk they start cleaning the rooms at 12.00 so that they are available at 14.00... hard to believe ! Decided to go somewhere else. The LEON Ranong restaurant provided a refreshing change from Thai cuisine, offering a western-style menu that pleased the whole family. Alongside burgers and pizza, they also served Korean fried chicken reminiscent of bonchon chain restaurants in Bangkok. Though slightly pricier than local Thai establishments, this is to be expected for this type of food. Despite its simple appearance, the restaurant gave a warm welcome and served delicious meals.
I was a bit doubtful about a steakhouse in Ranong, but this place turned out to be a nice surprise. Food and beverages are very good value and the service was friendly. Will be back next time I’m in Ranong. The Aussie ribeye was great!

Yes on the face of it this place looks basic but we were given a very warm welcome and our food was delicious. A welcome break from Thai food. I had a very delicious burger and hubby had the best pizza he had had in Thailand. Even nicer by the fact it was washed down with a very nice red wine. Good luck in the new venue!!!!

Came with the family hoping to find something more western for a break from the Thai food we have been having. We weren't disappointed, my family had burgers and pizza which all seemed happy with. Personally I had the Korean fried chicken which was surprisingly close to the bonchon chain restaurants I enjoyed in Bangkok Pricing was bit more than what you'd spend at a local Thai restaurant but that is standard here for this type of food.

Buono@RANONG is a delightful and delectable dining establishment that has consistently surpassed expectations. The use of high-quality ingredients ensures a memorable culinary experience at very reasonable prices.
Just a sweet, scrumptious gem of a restaurant. We’ve dined here twice and everything has exceeded our expectations. The Caesar salad, wraps (chicken and salmon), steak, and chocolate lava cake — beautifully prepared with attention to detail unusual for such a small, hidden away eatery. The chef is obviously highly skilled. Quality ingredients. Great value for very reasonable prices. Chill, tasteful ambience. Lovely staff (the one girl who’s served us both times is spot on with hospitality and efficiency). You won’t be disappointed!

One of those exceptional places tucked away in Ranong. We went here for dinner after one VERY long scooter trip and this place exceeded my expectations above and beyond, to this day i refer back to this restaurant. The owner/chef was so accommodating and friendly. He came to check on us several times and seriously served the greatest food. This is indeed an excellent place. Being vegetarian in Thailand is usually difficult but here there is ample choice of delicious options. My wife is Thai and she said the sea bass was delicious. She had a mango mint lassie that was unusual and tasted great. The virgin mojito was the best I have had. We live in Thailand and finding a restaurant like this is a delight. Do yourself a favor when you are in Ranong and eat here.

Incredible place. Terrible shame though, this chef could be running a large restaurant in a big city so lots of people can enjoy his food! Lamb ragu with homemade gnocchi and the cheese and spinach spring rolls are an absolute must! Wonderful service, the server was so happy to help and made lovely cocktails for us. When we couldn’t get a taxi the chef and server even insisted they took us back to our hotel on their mopeds!!! We will cherish this memory. Thank you so much for a beautiful evening xxx

Dim sum restaurant
The dim sum establishment known as Restaurants Ranong ocha offers delectable and reasonably priced cuisine. It is managed by individuals of Chinese Thai descent. Although, comparing it to the Singaporean Chinese delicacies, which are both exquisite and costly, the dim sum here surpasses expectations. The process involves retrieving the dim sum in trays for steaming, adding to its appeal.
Very nice... need to collect the dim sum in trays for them to steam. The porridge is pretty good. The Thai milk tea was very sweet so just tell the waitress to reduce the syrup.

Reasonable price for this quality of food. One of the best meals I had for my solo trip to Ranong. Recommended.

Great dim sum restaurant for breakfast or brunch. Has both indoor (AC) and outdoor seating. Busy place frequented by locals but no wait for table and service was fast.

Food is fairly tasty and price is reasonable. Trust it is run by Chinese Thai. However, as a Singaporean Chinese, we have very fanciful and delicious dim sum back home but the price is 1 to 2 times the price here.
