The wooden structure of the Wat is very special and beautiful. Great view in the beach with lots of fishing boats. If you are there, consider to climb up the stairs to the cave. You get a great sea view on the way. The Wat is around 6 km from Prachuap down town.

Beautiful wooden temple. Simply magnificent design. Peaceful, located on a beautiful beach. 💗 🇹🇭 🙏

Nice temple and look pretty news, which built by woods and beautiful architecture. There is a declining Buddha statue up on the mount where you can climb.

Beautiful teak temple with gorgeous teak wood construction and vivid friezes inside. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area. Peaceful place.

Beautiful temple located between 2 bays in Prachuab. The ordination hall is made from wood.
Peter van Zanten — Google review
One of the most beautiful temples while visiting Prachuap Khiri Khan. Beautiful wooden structure next to the mountains and Bay area. Monks offers prayers for peace and wellbeing of everyone. Highly recommended while visiting the The Land of Three Bays Prachuap.
Rajarshi Chakrabarty — Google review
Beautiful place, located on the seafront, with rcdm Rybatskoe village. The temple is beautiful. Pleasant atmosphere, relaxing. Near the cave with the Buddha. And also at the entrance to the cave with the Buddha there is a small but very steep temple. It is very old and overgrown. And also it is covered with mother-of-pearl on top. Very cool place.
Marta Shvayukova — Google review
Beautiful teak wood temple standing close to the colorful sea and fishing boats, at the foot of a steep hill. On the same compound, after a hard climb (300 steps), you may visit 2 impressive reclining buddhas in a deep cave. Worth the effort.

New Ao Noi Temple: This is the large teak structure you’ll pass on the way to the parking area at the bottom of the hill. There’s some nice coloured murals inside which depict the life of the Buddha.

Wat Khao Chong Krachok

Mentioned on
Buddhist temple
Place of worship
Wat Khao Chong Krachok is a stunning hilltop temple in the heart of Prachuap Khiri Khan, offering breathtaking views of the coastal area. The climb to the temple is an adventure in itself, as you'll encounter numerous monkeys along the way. Despite being pushy, vendors offer sticks to ward off the monkeys. It's recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid the heat and follow precautions regarding monkeys.
For parking i suggest to park at Wat Thammikaram Worawihan that is just across the road from the start of the stairs. There are vendors there who sells food to feed the monkeys, personally i do not encourage feeding the monkeys. The climb is totally worth it, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the bay area. There is also cave and other places that can be access from the temple just keep a look out for this signages
David Tan — Google review
Very beautiful temple at the top of 396 steps. The first bit of the stairs, you have to dodge the monkeys a bit, but they tend to leave you alone, and so long as your not openly carrying food, they wont bother you. Halfway up is the most delicious resting point with an amazing breeze to cool you down. Here was also the friendlt and polite person responsible for keeping the monkeys from going any further. Some of the steps are steep. Overall, it wasnt too exhausting at 2pm, even though it was hot, there are a lot of breezes. The top is beautiful, many temples and statues and then there is the most amazing views of Prachuap Khiri Khan town and province. Wat Khao should be the top of everyones itinerary when they visit PKK.
Joseph King — Google review
Definitely good exercise for the heart to make it up those stairs to this place, the views are so nice up the coastline. If you are in vicinity its worth a look
Rob Barsony — Google review
Very beautiful temple on the hill. It’s worsted to climb the 396 stairs. You have a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
Ziya Tabassian — Google review
Great temple, stunning view from above, Gulf of Thailand and few rocky islands. Get ready for monkey 🐵 showing their teeth on the stairs - bamboo sticks available at entrance. Don't be aggressive yourself, stay chill and keep walking towards Buddha

If you stay in Prachuap Khiri Khan it is recommended to give thanks to the spirit of the city at this pillar shrine.

They says its a must to visit to the shrine of the town you're traveling to in Thailand and this one's no different. Nicely decorated, a quick for few clicks of photos when visiting this small Prachuap Khiri Khan City.

Ziya Tabassian — Google review
City Pillar Shrine is well known for the town's quite seaside resort .The City Pillar Shrine is one of a tourist attractions and certainly wroth visiting. It is located at the Northern end of the town near Khao Chong Krajok, the city pillar's is built in Khmer style and considered to be one the most beautiful shrine in Thailand.

Beautiful well maintained city shrine. Very ornate buildings. Manicured gardens.
Roger Bird — Google review
This is the most impressive city shrine/pillar I have seen in Thailand. It stands out in your view from Wat Khao Chong Krachok. It is better than Bangkok, which I don't think is too outstanding for such a big city. It is a Khmer style design. I think it is a must see if you travel to Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Ao Manao beach

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Ao Manao beach is a stunning location in Thailand that often escapes the attention of tourists. Despite this, it undoubtedly ranks as one of the country's most picturesque beaches. The wide expanse of clean sand and shallow waters make for a beautiful setting to relax and take in the natural beauty around you. However, visitors should be aware that the beach closes at 6 pm, so it's important to plan accordingly to ensure you have ample time to enjoy everything it has to offer.
Beautiful beach that's kept and owned by the Thai royal airforce. If you are around hua hin it's worth a shout. Toilet only 3 baht Shower only 5 baht Plenty of food options for Thai food and ice scream Only 20 baht for a chair Nice and quiet Lovely beach

Nice beach to spend a few hours. Not stunning, but still clean. Toilet near food court, reasonable prices at food court. Seats were 20 baht each in Dec 2022.
Vivienne Schaum — Google review
Beautiful beach. Perfect pit stop if you're driving down the gulf of Thailand. Came midweek and it was so peaceful and quiet. On the whole stretch, only saw about 5 other visitors. Note the beach is on a military site so you have to pass a checkpoint, but the guards were very friendly. Opens 6am to 6pm. Lots of food and drink stalls line the beach. If you come from the Prachuap Khiri Khan town side, you'll get to drive across a runway, which is very cool.

Khao Lom Muak

Mentioned on
Mountain peak
Khao Lom Muak is a mountain peak accessible through an air force base, featuring steps and ropes for climbers to reach the top. Although it's only open a few times a year, entrance is free and visitors are advised to wear hiking shoes and gloves due to the steep terrain. The climb requires significant physical exertion but offers stunning views from the summit. Long pants aren't necessary unless crawling is preferred, but carrying water for hydration is recommended.
Entry is allowed only few times a year Do not wear elephant pants it will be broken easily. Wear long pants Need gloves to climb up Wear strong shoes dont bring walking stick.
Mia Nguyen — Google review
Only accessible on Thai public holidays, you need to have your passport with you because it's in a military zone. Solders are extremely friendly. This is a fun but very short trail, the peak is under 300m and the length of the trail is under 1km one way, half of it using stairs. This hike should take about 1h to complete for experienced hikers with high fitness level (excluding time on top), however it's absolutely crowded and you'll have to wait in lines a lot. I was charged 40 baht for registering even through I read that there's no entrance fee. Gloves are only necessary if you've never scrambled before and rely on pulling yourself up using ropes, hiking shoes recommended.
Antonija Magaš — Google review
Was lucky enough to see able to climb to the top this morning since they say it's not open all the time. Very strenuous climb. No long pants needed unless you want to crawl. Some were using gloves for the ropes. Carry water and hydrate your body. Nice shirt and stickers available after climbing. Great views from the top! Many thanks to all the military helpers along the trails and at the bottom!
J G L — Google review
The view at the top takes away all your tiredness from the hike. It was definitely worth climbing.

Krua Chaiwat is a highly recommended restaurant in town that offers great food at an affordable price. The beef they serve is incredibly tender, and the menu includes both authentic Thai dishes and Western options. The staff are friendly and can communicate in English, making it a welcoming place for travelers who don't speak Thai. Additionally, the restaurant has a nice open-air ambiance that adds to the dining experience.

This restaurant is great, and I ate here a number of times during my stay in the town. The food is excellent - their beef was so tender - and the price point is affordable. The staff are lovely, can speak a bit of English, and the menu is also in English ... a very friendly place for travelers & tourists who can't speak Thai. Highly recommend, plus, their iced coffee is delicious, too!

Amazing authentic Thai food. Experience the variety of street food tastes in a family run restaurant with very welcoming staff. You pay just a small surplus compared to street food stalls but get the whole variety in one place. Western dishes are also served in case only some of you are open to Thai. Enjoy!

Seafood restaurant
In Town Seafood is a versatile dining spot that offers a wide range of culinary delights. From Western dishes to Thai cuisine, the restaurant excels in providing delectable meals and refreshing beverages. The beachfront eatery specializes in seafood, serving generous portions of fish and prawns at reasonable prices. While the food receives high praise for its freshness and flavor, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in service quality. Despite this, the establishment's picturesque views add to the overall dining experience.
Amazing food. Super fresh and delicious. Only negative was 1 waiter that thought we want not spicy but I order extra spicy ..
Kay Sandin — Google review
No nonsense beachfront sidewalk eatery with mostly seafood. During my 3 week holiday in PKK I go here almost every other day. The food is excellent, generous portions, big chucks of fish, large prawns etc., reasonable prices. If you like to drink beer from a large glass bring your own. Service is not really good. No Thai smiles. For some reason they dont make me feel welcome. I just accept this as a good Buddhist. They should also replace the old filthy plastic chairs.
Pantau — Google review
A Fried Vegetable is mild. The scallops and the fish are fresh. The flavor of the scallops is good. The soy sauce in the fish dish is mild and the fish skin still has fish scales. A Seafood dip is plain.
Juthathat Kugasemrat — Google review
This is the spot to go if you want to interact with the locals while also eating delicious seafood. To begin, the ambiance here is fantastic; everyone is nice, and practically all of the tables are full of people eating and enjoying local specialties. Second, the cuisine is incredibly amazing; I believe it is some of the freshest seafood I have ever had, and the staff will cook it just to your specifications. Third, the pricing are quite affordable, and the food is really high quality for the money.
William Doyle — Google review
Had an early dinner here (5:30pm) as it gets really crowded later in the evening, so I wanted to get an early start. The menu is large, difficult to choose between all the seafood options. Ordered tom yum with mixed seafood, and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Very tasty, and a generous portion, loaded with fish and other sea creatures. Nice and spicy, but not overwhelming. Prices are quite reasonable too, with this soup, a side of rice, and a bottle of water totalling just 140b. Worth a return visit or two, just to try other dishes.
John K — Google review
Seafood restaurant side street, fresh seafood with wide selection and menus.
Prakasit Poonapirat — Google review
Good food, if you order spicy you sure get spicy 🔥 😆 - kra-paw shrimp on top rice is spicy good... I like it cost 50 baht. - Yellow curry crab meat taste good but not much of the crab meat for 200 baht. - Mixed veggies good.. 80 baht. - Chili's paste 🌶️🌶️ ocean fish meat ( I got some of the head that doesn't have meat on it.!! ,) with coconut or cream soup... it's good a bit too sweet but that's ok... they're trying to balance saltiness from Chili's paste.. 150 baht. Big bottle of not cold water 25 baht Ice bucket 10 baht.

Food is good. Fresh seafood by the sea with thai local styles eatery, really create authentic thai atmosphere. Of course because of that, ordering may be a bit hard as the waitresses can have limited English speaking skill. However, they compensate that with menu that easy to follow (pictures hahaha).

(Translated by Google) I gave it 4 stars but can't give it 5 stars because it has some small flaws. 1. There is no car parking available. 2. Drinking water that is still water is still charged. 3. The quantity per bowl is very small. The following are compliments. It's a boat noodle shop that makes a very delicious soup. It's called 10 Baht. Other shops are more delicious than this shop. I think it's hard to find, but if it's three or forty baht at another store. It's more than this restaurant. I think I can find it. The marinated pork is just right. There's some oil to make it feel moist. You get about two or three pieces per bowl. One fried wonton is very crispy. One plain meatball has nothing in the bamboo. Really, if you get lard that's been fried with garlic and lard, A little bit of pig skin would be amazing. Overall, it's a restaurant that isn't cheap if you eat to your heart's content. (I'm not saying it's expensive.) But if you eat it deliciously, you'll be satisfied. This place is very interesting. It's more suitable for eating for fun with friends. Staff is very rude and service inefficient. We ordered 4 mains and received the first one before the drinks (though we had not ordered anything fancy, only water and a coconut, which we returned as it was not ripe … and they claimed that other coconuts were all the same, not ripe and ready to drink). The last main arrived 1h later… fight about the bill, as they had charged the bad coconut and 1 rice in excess. Portions were too small, we had to buy food on our way home as we were still hungry. In a nutshell, very bas experience and we won’t visit again

What a hidden gem, this place for happy hours was amazing!!!’ Came here on sunday for happy hour and start ordering cocktails for 10$ (1 get 1). After 4 of those decide to get some food and snack which was AMAZING!!!! If you do not know about this place. It’s panoramic seascape with the elegant Heritage House as a backdrop. Liked the outdoor setting, so close to the beach. Tapas style offerings which gave us a chance to try 6 different dishes and 4 cocktails. Overall, just a bit above average, with creativity. Flavors on the heavy salty side, reasonably good quality ingredients.

Praca is an interesting Thai casual restaurant by the sea that is located in The Standard Hotel at Huahin. The place serves modern interpretations in a casual Izakaya style. The food is of generally good quality, quite tasty, and we did enjoy the food. Slight gripe is that many dishes had tamarine sauce base, and it was a little repetitive. It may be due to the dishes we ordered. The view was quite nice, and we enjoyed the home styled venue. Service may be a little slow as the place was a little crowded later on.

Night atmosphere of the cafeteria was feel good! Khao Pad Nuea Yang was delicious, beef was juicy and tender and mixed-well with garlic fried-rice, cured egg and Roasted Chili Paste. And I recommended Rose Tint Dream Cocktail, It was refresh and easy to drink. Besides, Born to Rum was cocktail’s tropical theme that reflected seasides by coconut and limes. Moreover, Waiters have good service and nice recommend about foods, drinks, cocktails and promotions. Don’t hesitate to ask them. For me, It was the best experience night in Huahin :)

Love the food and service! They serve Thai food with a twist by the sea. Soft shell crab curry was a hit, I highly recommend ordering it with rice. Taco krapow was also nice and new. Pad Thai wish fried oyster taste good as well though the noodles were a bit too chewy. Portion was generous with reasonable price. Service was great. The only thing I don’t recommend here is the desserts, it’s way too sweet.

Went here twice because the food & atmosphere is one of the best in Hua Hin 🙏🏻 My favourites are the Gaeng Kua Bai Cha Ploo Pooh (softshell crab curry) and Moo Krob (crispy pork belly). Getting two dishes per person will get you very full 🫃🏻 Excellent cocktail selection as well. Light on the alcohol, but with local ingredients and and well-rounded flavours. Recommend the Holy Basil Gin.

The food here is quite superb for hotel food. Taste wise definitely way above expectations (did not feel like hotel food at all). The tomyum fried rice with scallops is very flavorful and delicious. The kanom jeeb pu was made fresh and steamed to order (worth the wait). Highly recommend this place for a cozy and casual dinner night by the beach.

Praca, The Standard Hotel Hua Hin: It tips itself as Hua Hin’s most stylish beach Bar & Restaurant and you’ll see why it hugs its self-acclaimed accolades tight. Come sunset, this is a coveted spot. The 60’s romanticised Tiki Tiki theme suddenly whips you to Hawaii, starting at the Tiki Tiki beach hut bar that allows the best sunset view. It’s mostly outdoor seating at Praca, seabreeze teasing your hair is the intent. The bungalow setting with patio reminds you of a stately wealthy estate house in southern America, sans the rocking chair at the patio. Step in, the 60s romantisiced Tiki Tiki theme teases with the melding of styles. I absolutely adore this spot. It’s a dry day today - no drinking but here’s where you taste their culinary offerings in full splendour. Modern and elevated Northern Thai, which usually has zero appeal to me. The signature offerings are tuna tartare with crackers - oh what a visual feast and a taste rollercoaster. Fried catfish wrapped in betel leaves gingerly pegged together is another taste delight and creative culinary spin. Soft shell crab sitting in curry is another heavenly treat. We were stuffed after 3 dishes. The service is friendly from Khiew and when it comes to exacting culinary standards, The Standards got it patted down. #eatstylishtravelstylish
