Some of the best meals I’ve ever had. We stayed in lourdata for a week and came here 3 times. The food was amazing with a menu and specials every night. Lorraine is obviously very passionate about her restaurant and this is reflected in the service and the food. We were well looked after and very well fed. I would recommend her place to anyone staying anywhere near here.

Lorraine’s Magic Hill is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. We visited with 17 family members (aged 3-74) whilst on holiday in Lordata. The setting was absolutely stunning, with beautiful sea views and a gorgeous sun set. We were welcomed by Lorraine like we were her family and her description of the day’s specials was delivered with total passion which left our mouths watering in anticipation for the food we were about to have. She is such a unique character who clearly knows all there is to know about growing food and creating the most delicious recipes. And the food totally lived up to our expectations, the flavours and way it was all cooked was outstanding. We shared dishes so we could sample as many different things as possible and it was all beyond delicious. Served on traditional Greek dishes by very friendly waiting staff! After our food we moved to another wonderful outside seating area by the bar with comfy sofas and soft lighting and sat and chatted, enjoying the peaceful evening atmosphere at the restaurant. We would 100% recommend visiting Lorraine’s and can’t wait to go back ourselves. Thank you for helping us create a very special family memory 💚

We went to this restaurant the night it opened in May so gave them the benefit of the doubt with teething issues but really didn't have a good experience! It took them 20 mins to get to our table to talk about the 'specials' by which point we'd already analysed the menu and decided on our dishes. We skipped starters and our mains took 1hr 10mins and only arrived after we questioned it - we were told it's because we'd chosen souvlaki which takes longer, when really this is quite basic! The food was very nice, but no better than restaurants nearby which are much cheaper. A lovely location but service and speediness needs to improve as a few customers walked out that night.

The best meal I had on the island. Lorraine greater us and explained her daily specials of which we had the vegetarian and the meat option, along with homemade bread. Gorgeous meal, great service and wonderful views with sunset. Book or get there early for a good table.

Wow- what a wonderful restaurant!! Service first class- friendly and attentive, food beautifully traditional and home made, cocktail menu is unique, views over the coast fantastic, can’t think of anything to criticise! Well worth a visit. Certainly our best meal in Kefalonia!

What an incredible find. It was our first night in Kefalonia and we hadn't booked anything, so when we spotted how busy Lorraine's was we thought there was little chance we'd get in. Lucky for us, a cancellation and good timing got us through the door. From there everything - from the warm service from the family who run it to the food cooked with ingredients from their farm - was exceptional. An extensive menu of feta-based starters, a grill-focused set of mains with tonnes of specials, and some really delicious desserts. And the view across the coast was just magical (hence the name!). Can't recommend it highly enough, but book ahead!

Excellent visits to Lorraine’s restaurant over the past week. Food is outstanding as is the service you receive. Make sure to plan a visit around sunset.

During our stay in Lourdata we got food to take home from Lorraine’s Magic Hill twice. The grilled prawns were really good, the beetroot salad surprisingly nice, the rest did not disappoint. Everyone there was very friendly and doing everything they could to make it perfect for us. The view from the terrace is great, so we highly recommend a happy hour there (not to mention the €3 pints!)!

A very atmospheric restaurant just above Lourdes beach. Nice view. I was so excited to find this treasure. Unfortunately the food and service didn't live up to first impressions. Food was overpriced and very mediocre, not much "magic" happening in the kitchen. Owner Lorraine was friendly, the rest of the team not so much, some even rude. Sorry, I cannot recommend this place for food, but for a sundowner cocktail it might be alright.

What an amazing evening! From the minute we arrived, we felt like we received special treatment. Incredible welcome, nothing was to much trouble. But watch them work, they treated everyone with same warm hospitality. The place itself is the most lovely setting that we have been for a meal in Kefelonia, its beautiful. The food was amazing, even from the Homemade bread to start- with the garlic dip. We had, Sea bass, pork chop, chicken fillets, chicken robola, every meal was 1st class, perfectly cooked and presented. Also the desserts were incredible too. Genuinely we couldnt believe how perfect our experience there was. Thankyou all so much, and would love to visit again soon.x

Very great food, wine and personnel. The only thing that was a little annoying was that we sat at a table close to the kitchen chimney and most of our starter and main we sat in the smoke of the kitchen. I would recommend to ask the restaurant for a table more to the back of the outside garden. The smoke was not a deal-breaker During the dessert we asked them if we could change tables twice, and they where very helpful and nice. The restaurant is great nonetheless and the food was delicious!

This was my go to place during my holidays in Kefalonia. Nice coffee shop and breakfast place, opens 9 to 3 only. Lovely Finnish owner. Friendly service. Delicious food and drinks. Soft music. The perfect place to start your day. Highly recommended 💯

Fantastic cafe bar Third time visiting lordas beach in kefalonia. This time was our honeymoon always start the day off with a good breakfast here it's the best on the island. Fantastic food and lovely staff nothing is too much trouble. Always helpful with information about places to visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food. Very welcoming staff and delicious food. For lunch, we had iced coffee with a ham & cheese toastie, which were made to perfection and we washed it down with ice cream of course. Well worth the trip up the hill, would definitely recommend.

We had our first coffee here 10 years ago and have returned for many breakfasts since.. everytime we go we learn something, this year it was "which is the best weather app". Coffee still fabulous, tea in a tea pot, breakfast is classy and delicious. We always feel very welcome and feel we can start our holiday once we have visited Muses..

Lovely cafe/restaurant set in a wonderful secluded garden. Fantastic coffees, Full English breakfast and veggie breakfast also very good. Friendly staff.

Delicious fresh fish and starters, with good portion sizes. We had flame-grilled peppers, giant beans in tomato sauce, taramasalata and bread, then fish (which comes with chips). Enjoy the views!

A really lovely lovely meal. Reminds me of Greek restaurants of old - hand written menu, delicious local dishes, beautiful view and attentive waiters who were run off their feet! A really authentic experience & a restaurant full of Greek and Italian families. We had Sea Bream - delicious. Oh and the best fried zucchini I’ve had in a long time.

Very nice view, but don't expect very good service. Food was good, fresh, but very simple. A bit pricey. About 20-22 euros per person.

It is situated at the far right of the beach, if you didn't know it was there you would never find it. The location is lovely the view is amazing. The food was good to OK. I had the swordfish, my wife had cod and kids had chicken skewers. What wasn't great was the cats. I don't mind cats, but the other members of my family aren't that keen. Especially when at one point there were 7 of them meowing around our table. Which was a shame as I never got to try dessert.

Food was absolutely amazing. Staff was lovely made me and my daughter feel very welcome. The view is gorgeous.

Fresh fish restaurant recomended by a local host. We drove from Argostoly just to have dinner in this place. Grilled fish of the day with tzatziki, and grrek salad is a classic dinner for us .

Great location next to the beach with a beautiful set up under grape leafs and beside their own garden. The food was good as well, everything was well cooked and delivered as you can expect from a Greek authentic tavern. The service wasn’t the best, but we weren’t in a hurry, so we went with the flow.

Nice food but better setting. The ice cold beer is a winner. Staff is helpful. We enjoyed ourselves. Stuffed and fried aubergines weren't the best. But octopus and lamb chops were good.

They catered for our group for one week and it was consistently very tasty food. On the day of checkout they were very friendly, allowing us to store our luggage. After a light lunch we were at the beach until going for dinner. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.

Fabulous place, lovely settings with great atmosphere, staff, and food. Great variety of dishes and a lovely fresh fish daily. Don't overlook their bar just behind their garden - yummy cocktails!

A good seaside alternative to the other taverns, setting is classic the only things cars passing in front lowers the atmosphere otherwise good food, fair price and beatiful sea view. Sardines were excellent if you want to try

Came across this taverna when we took a walk to the beach. It looked nice so we decided to eat there. And it was a great decision! The food, service & atmosphere were all superb. We would highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful and traditional Seafront taverna. Really beautiful setting eating fresh seafood whilst hearing the waves hitting the beach. Service was excellent- very friendly and attentive!

The best restaurant that was open in low season, in fact it was closing for the season from 28 October. Went there twice for lunch. Both times were excellent. Really good food, the Kefalonian meat pie can be recommended. There is a kids menu, but its not written down, so just ask. Excellent location at the beach.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere and delicious traditional food. We were there in September since they got a taste of the house grapes forming a roof over the restaurant. Highly recommended for sunset

The is where we had the best seafood out of all the restaurants we tried in Kefalonia. The fried calamari were amazing, we actually came back to have them again. I also loved the red mullet and the seafood risotto. Portions were big so if you're not very hungry you might want to share. Even if you're staying on the other side of the island, I'd say that this place is worth the trip, it was that good!

The Klimatas is the best Tavrena in Lourdas in my opinion the food, staff and Atmosphere excellent Marina the owner is lovely and after your meal pop into Pedro's cocktail bar for one of his lovely drinks it ever disappoints you. My wife wasn't very well one evening so I called Marina to cancel our reservation she delivered the food to us at no extra cost wonderful service from them I cant fault it 10 out of 10

Always great, relaxed friendly service, simple setting right on the beach. Make sure you book. The octopus and squid are excellent. The salads are superb.

Although the service is a bit slow the staff is very friendly and amiable, the drinks are good and the food is great. We only had salads and appetizers but could see from other people that main courses also looked delicious. Very nice atmosphere to relax for an hour of timeout from the beach

Family style restaurant, with good and honest food and great prices! We shared a ham and cheese pizza for dinner and it was really good!

This is a family run taverna and the food is "home cooking". Nothing fancy but certainly tasty (for the most part), neatly presented, freshly prepared and reasonably priced. We ate in here two or three times and had takeaways three times if that proves we were very happy there. We were always attended to by Dimitrios the son. What a lovely, lovely guy. So genuinely helpful, always smiling, friendly, engaging...he is a wonderful young man. When first ordering we explained that one of our kids was a coeliac and in consultation with "Mama" they were always able to make recommendations or adaptions. For the record, their chips are not GF. Anyway, we have had Chicken Gyros and Souvlaki as take-aways. When seated for dining in the restaurant, Dimitrios would flit around serving everyone and even though things were never quick, we were never forgotten nor made to wait an inordinate amount of time. Just relax and sit in the calming atmosphere listening to the background music. There is an outdoor dining area of back but this was not being used by the time we arrived on the island. We have ordered fried zucchini (courgettes) (tasty) grilled chicken (perfect), Souvlaki (perfect), Beef Stifado (delicious and tender), lamb chops (I think cooked well done instead of medium rare but tasty nonetheless), a Beef Sofigado (not our favourite) and really the only disappointments were the two fish dishes we tried - The cod fish with garlic mashed potatoes where the potato was amazing but the fish (cubes) was overcooked and salty whilst the fried sole fillet was actually stripped off the bone and coated with batter and was again overcooked and salty. That being said, overall we were very happy with the VFM and the general quality and cleanliness and of course the fantastic service. Finally, the baklava was HUGE (couldn't finish mine), different to others we have had and well worth the price of admission.

Of all lunches in Lourdata this is the one we enjoyed the most. Dyonisos is a family run place serving simple food. You won’t go wrong with a grill and don’t miss out - order the fried courgettes! The fries were the only thing that was left unfinished. Compared to all the other restaurants in the village this is the best value place. It is honest, home cooked food, the service is charming and free (shady) parking and wifi make it top. It would have been even nicer to sit in the garden, I reckon, we’ll do that next time.

I've just had a delicious salad here plus some feta cheese that I fancied. The salad was very fresh and abundant. It was early and I was the only customer so can't really comment on the atmosphere but the family were very friendly.

The spinach pies were amazing! I got the chicken and mushroom in white sauce, which was good, and my husband got the chicken souvlaki; he said it was ok. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can only assume the usual chef left as it was the end of the low season. Felt like a lot of ready meals that had been heated up. The pizza was not good. Think it was the wrong cheese or something. The fish looked like a frozen one. My local meat and rice dish tasted like it had been reheated. Not good. They are rearing an orphaned goat, which is nice, though not sure how hygienic that is for a restaurant. Given the earlier rave reviews i can only assume we were unlucky in our timing. It was the worst meal we had in our week on the island.

Very nice family run restaurant, 4 generations were there, admittedly the youngest was only two years old! Food was definitely home cooked and very tasty. Beautiful garden restaurant to the rear under the shade of an old olive tree. Wood fired pizza oven a must for that proper flavour.

We had a perfect nice dinner with fresh homemade ingredients. Service was excellent and no long waiting time (in mid April).

Chicken fingers are basically chopped up chargeilled roast chicken.... Absolutely amazing flavour, soft, moist and full of flavour. However that's Where it stopped for us...we ordered pizza to collect, had to wait an extra 40 minutes...! Pizza was undercooked, think they tried their best, but they were busy'sh...Re cooked pizza on BBQ the following day....Much better.. Never give neg reviews but to wait 1 Hr 20 minutes for a collection and be told 30 minutes...Very annoying..and expensive...
