2Star Fish Leisure Farm 和星休闲渔场

Star Fish Leisure Farm 和星休闲渔场 is nestled in a rural area, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Spanning 15 acres, with 10 acres transformed into a serene oasis by its owner, Mr. Song, this leisure farm utilizes an existing aquaculture fish farm to provide recreational facilities and accommodation suitable for all ages. Visitors can enjoy reasonably priced entrance fees and food while immersing themselves in the Kampung lifestyle.
Surreal. The leisure farm is well maintained. Good warm hospitality. The ATV ride took ~40min. With the recent rainy afternoons, the trail was mud dirt and slippery at times. Added fun to the ride. Kids also enjoyed the animals feeding and fishing. Actually managed to catch two fish within half an hour. Did not stay long as we headed to nearby Riders resort for next activity. Will plan for longer stay next time.

Our family had a wonderful time at Star Fish Leisure Farm in Kulai! This place is a haven for families looking for a fun-filled day out, especially those with young children. The farm is full of kid-friendly activities that kept our little ones entertained throughout the day. They had a blast interacting with the farm animals and particularly enjoyed the fish feeding. Not only was it fun, but also very educational for them. The farm's environment is clean and well-maintained, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. The staff were kind, patient and always ready to assist, which added to the overall pleasant experience. We also appreciated that there were ample facilities for families, including clean restrooms and a dining area for when you need to refuel. Overall, we highly recommend Star Fish Leisure Farm for a great family outing. It's a fantastic way to get kids away from screens, learn about nature and create lasting memories. We can't wait for our next visit!

Tried their ATV. Their reply on WhatsApp is fast. If you r a first timer to ATV, you should try theirs. The route is exciting, great for family. I went there as 2 adults and 3 kids. The guide, Song Han was with 1 of them. He’s good and patient. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves a lot.

simple small leisure farm, nicely decorated. Entrance fee per hour is rm15 per adult, rm10 per child. Food also reasonably priced. Chop with spaghetti is rm15++, chicken chop combo set is rm15.80 including iced lemon tea. Friendly and helpful staff provide us umbrella during rainy day. It's interesting to enjoy Kampung lifestyle here. 1 hour inside the farm is sufficient if u do not play any special activities inside. Good place to chill and relax with family.

Not recommend for 100 over pax company team building at here as their power supply not enough to support if you switch on airconds for all rooms as well as the water heaters. The leisure farm staffs will keep patrol around to make sure all airconds are switch off even unplug the fuis to ensure we cannot switch on. End up we opened the windows to get the cold air flow in ventilate the rooms. Bad experience~

Kulai Mok Gao Beef/Seafood/Pork Noodles is a popular dining spot in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia. This restaurant offers a variety of delicious noodle dishes featuring beef, seafood, and pork. The area is known for its diverse culinary scene with numerous Chinese restaurants and cafes to explore. Visitors can also find themed cafes like the Alice Library Cafe that offers a unique experience with its Chinchilla theme and assortment of reading materials and games.
The beef was so tender and fresh. There wasn't much fat or tendon either. I asked a friend who was with me how Malaysian restaurants manage to make food taste so good. He said Malaysian restaurants take the time and effort to prepare the ingredients before cooking the dish, the do not cut corners to make a bigger profit. They have the luxury of lower cost labor as well. So, there you go, this place makes food the way it should be made. Try it and judge the taste for yourself.

Drove here for the famous beef noodles. On our first visit, it was sold out and we tried pork and seafood noodles instead. This time, we came early in the morning (before 9am) and finally got to try their beef noodles! We ordered both soup and dry versions and I preferred the dry one because I like the thick sauce. Beef is tender and chewy. The milo is also very thick and tasty.
BPDG Travels — Google review
Been eating their beef dry noodles since 30 years ago. Very very delicious. The only problem is noodles started sold out after 830am. Must go before 8am to make sure they still got beef dry noodles

Heard this place was famous but unfortunately we arrived slightly late from KL at around 1pm+. Most of their menu items are sold out. Only pork and fish ball left. So we decided to try their pork noodles. We're so in love with it! The broth was so good and i like their kuey teow which was slightly different as it is wider than the usual ones. Will be back earlier next time to try their beef and seafood noodles

You may be forgiven for NOT being able to find the eatery even though you've followed Waze/Google maps to the last inch. Just off the main Kulai-JB road, it sits on the fringe of Lorong Satu, Jalan Ismail. You have to be very brave to park by the roadside as a tiny collapse of the side embankment can sent your precious vehicle tumbling into the shop and on its patrons. This eatery occupies 3 shop-lots - no kidding! But i could never understand why IT DOESN'T sport signboards. But somehow, people know how to get their for their beef noodle/pork noodle kick. 1. For starters, there is someone always ready to help you with your order. It works with a queue in mind. Their menu doesn't read English so you'd have to decide on your order even before she asks you. 2. Next, you are given a number and then you go into any one of the three shops to find your seat. 3. Someone will ask you for drinks. Once served, you are required to pay for it as both drinks and food stall is from separate owners. 4. Once food is served, you pay. The queue number is taken away, which means you have settles your bill. Firstly, the noodles (dry/soup) are of generous portion sizes. Meat is also generous. No peanuts or pickled veggies on your dried beef noodles. No herbal, ginger or while pepper to overwhelm your taste buds. It is natural taste and naturally flavored beef soup. Most of all, it is truly AFFORDABLE (I won't divulge the price) but the price is really below what the market dictates. Go try, its worth it!

Went all the way for a recce trip to Kulai after hearing raving reviews about this place. The beef noodle is nothing to shout about. There are better places nearby who are not well known but have better quality and taste. They put in effort to brew a decent soup base. Maybe I may be picky but I am not. I am a fan of beef noodle but this bowl lack of taste of any decent ingredients. Taste like salt and vegetable soup. Chilli tastes commercial or really nothing. No vinegar, ginger, just salt. Really waste of time to travel all the way. You have been warned!
Jimmy Tan — Google review
Had the Beef Kway Teow soup and the broth is very rich and flavourful! It’s filling and refreshing for brunch and even as a hangover soup. The beef was given generously and it taste good and not over cooked. A great place for some comfort food if in the area.

Very good beef noodles. My colleagues brought us here, its a place only the locals will know. It is quite hidden and you have to park outside and walk in. Expected to have crowd over the weekends. Best to go on weekdays. The noodles is soft, beef is nice and not chewy, broth is flavourful. Surely worth to come here again. They have other noodles as well but dried version is recommended. Hot coffee was good also. A nice simple cup of coffee.

Location : Not easy to find. Location quite hidden, limited parking , park outside and walk in. Time: 6- 1:45 PM. Food: Arrived Sunday 1045 and beef noodle and pork noodle dried version have sold out. Order seafood noodle and broth is flavourful. Summary : Famous old heritage noodle local favourite in Kulai. Will come next time before 10:30 for beef noodle. (Dried version)

First try, missed the beef noodles. Only the seafood and pork noodles left. 1. Seafood noodles - you can find some pork slices, 3 fish balls, some vege and 2 prawns, to call it Seafood noodles. I thought there will be fish fillet and sotong as well. 2. Pork Noodles - pork slices and 3 fish balls. Surprisingly no minced pork too. Perhaps should blanch the pork first as the soup was full of impurities floating, which could kill the appetite. Overall, nothing to shout about. So, don't bother traveling all the way to Kulai for it.
Sharon Foo — Google review
The shop is located behind a kerb about half the height of the shop. You have to walk to the end to find the entrance. As you walk towards the shop, there is a counter where a staff will take your order before you’re directed inside. Clearly they are prepared to handle a crowd. Service is excellent and fast. Food is quick to come. I had beef noodles soup. The soup was garlicky and full of umami. It overpowered the taste of beef, which was tender and moist. I could have done with less MSG in the soup so that I could better taste the beef. A small bowl of noodles cost RM9. I had Milo for my drink which, at RM3.70, is pricey. At least it’s not diluted, but nice and thick. Overall, I give this place a 3 stars. Okay to eat, but not a place I would rave about and bring friends.

A surprise find. Just looking for an early breakfast spot at Johor Bahru. End up at Kulai. They are open early. Shop hidden at a corner of residence line. Easy missed but just follow the local crowds, shld be easy to locate it. Had Pork noodle instead of their Beef noodles as we were too early 0530H, beef not ready yet. Noodle quite firm and chewy. Soup based was tasty and not too salty. They added plenty of fried Garlic bits to favour the soup. Like it. Shld plan for a revisit.

Very simple old shop, unique dry sauce noodle with nice homemade fish ball and fresh prawn. I ordered pork noodles and found them quite as well..Too bad the famous beef noodles sold out earlier in the morning.
TK L Justin — Google review
Arrived just before 12 noon, too late for beef noodles which they stop serving by 10.30am. By the way, they are open from 6am to 1.45pm only. Had to settle for dry pork bee hoon but it did not disappoint. Portion was mid sized and the gravy was fragrant and flavourful. Do remember to add a dollop of their chilli sauce which somehow reminds me of Hainanese chicken rice chilli sauce. Within the plate you get about 8 slices of pork and two pieces of liver. Special mention for the liver because even though it was sliced thinly, it was not overcooked. Bit crunchy on outside and tender inside. The soup tastes very nice with bits of fried garlic and celery but it was a bit too salty for me. At RM7, this is a very good pork bee hoon, value for money. But those with bigger appetites, do feel free to add noodles. Service was polite and fast too! Update 27 Feb 2024. Finally got around to come taste their beef noodles. I have to say it’s better than their pork noodles! Strongly recommend to all those beef noodle lovers! By the way, there is a small table posted at the entrance selling Cai Ban (Hakka Soon Kueh). Go for it. Pastry skin is thin and packed with ingredients. Dip into the chilli that they provide and enjoy the flavours bursting in each bite.

Step into Cafe Jufei and be transported back in time with its vintage vinyl records and old books scattered throughout the space. The cozy ambiance, complete with the option to sit on the floor, offers a unique and comfortable setting to enjoy a cup of coffee or have a chat. The cafe's tranquil atmosphere provides a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Kulai is not really a popular place for tourists unless you are a local. Like many reviews here, this is a hidden jem. According to owner, this place was built and set-up all by himself. The feel of the interior is very beautiful and nostalgic. I like the idea of recycling and zero wastage, owner has an appreciation of old things. This cafe reminds me of my childhood days, surrounded are toys I used to play, cassettes, books and even furniture that I used to own. Great place to relax for a coffee and home-made bread. Prices are reasonable, highly recommend.

The cafe offers a very comfortable and rustic atmosphere, with the unique option to sit on the floor creating a cozy ambiance. Each corner of the cafe provides a distinct feel, making it a pleasant place to relax or have a chat. Despite not being air-conditioned, the cafe is well-ventilated and airy. The owner is friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place. Overall, it stands out as a preferable option compared to the Yong Juan Hin cafe downstairs.

Nasi Lemak Wak Kentut is a popular dish in Kulai, Johor that you must try. It is available at various restaurants in the area, such as 3rd Junction Cafe Tropika and Defortune Restaurant. This Malaysian dish features flavorful fried chicken with a hint of spiciness. With its delicious taste, Nasi Lemak Wak Kentut has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Really yummy and good quality! Chicken was crispy and fresh from the frying oil pan🤤🤤. The service was fast during line up for order although queue was like IKEA long if peak hour time. Affordable too for uni student.

Just nice. The chicken part are big but the others are average. Big portion of rice and chicken. The sambal not too spicy. Can improve on the cleanliness
Meow Wolf — Google review
I feel it’s overrated, the sambal was too sweet and less spicy! I came in here 1 hr commencing operation, everything was cold, not even the rice. Plenty of parking available, seatings were good, service was ok.
Ramesh Subramaniam — Google review
I love the grainy, firm rice texture, chicken is crispy but not marinated enough, all favor from the flour coat. Sambal is free flow, might too sweet for some people.
CM Lee — Google review
9/10 for nasi lemak & fried chicken. The sambal also nice (kid can also enjoy). It could be more other protein to be serve rather only chicken. We came like 8pm and only nasi lemak & fried chicken left. Also kudos for the drinks section. The make really nice Teh Ais! It just similar to HatYai Tea!
Aida Habib — Google review
Memang recommended. Sambal memang padu! Overall good portion and worth the price (slightly expensive but worth). You can choose your own piece of fried chicken and partially self service along.

Nasi lemak at its best, fragrant rice accompanied by their perfect fried chicken and a very addictive sambal chilli! A perfect dinner/supper spot!!
Nien Eugene — Google review
Nasi lemak is flavourful, coconuty & salty. Fried chicken is tender, juicy, crunchy but cold, it would be better if it is warm or pipping hot Fried calamari/sotong is crunchy, but overcook, having difficulty chewing Chilli is my kind is sambal with ikan bilis, toward sweet. Overall estimated per pax rm10-15 Will recommend trying if you happen nearby. Oh, to add on, it would be great if the owner could do something about the flies (no jokes, ard 10-15 flies per table). It is kinda irritating while you are enjoying your meals.
Elaina Poh — Google review
Just a common place. Nothing special about the nasi lemak. I went there and they serve only nasi lemak ayam which is RM10. Probably need to go to the main Wak Kentut restaurant. More nasi lemak varieties i think. The location is at the corner of the street beside the Holy Blessing place. Nevertheless, the place is a bit not tidy and beware of flies if eating inside near the hand wash and toilet area. Average for me to eat.
Jumari Rubaih — Google review
Their nasi lemak very delicious especially sambal. This restaurant just sell nasi lemak only. The queing system is organize and customer can get meal quite fast eventhough need to attend many customer. Cold and hot plain water is free. This place is crowded and hard to find parking here.
Ahmad Nizam — Google review
If you're in the Kulai area, this famous nasi lemak place is a must try for any nasi lemak lover out there. As a Malaysian, I totally appreciate the free flow sambal that you can take if you're dining in. It's a self service establishment, so you need to queue and get your food, drinks and pay. The freshly cooked nasi lemak rice is really good. It's delicious and not clumpy. A hint of pandan, ginger or onion in the rice would have heightened the experience. You can pick whether you want the fried egg with soft or hard yolk. And the piece of resistance, the hot fried chicken. You can even get the "kerak" (fried bits) as well. The chicken is freshly fried and it is super juicy as well. I would recommend the asam boi lemon drink to go with your hot nasi lemak. The price is quite reasonable. As you go and get your cutleries, the dulang full with hot, steaming sambal is there for you to take. If you're packing, take the available packed nasi and the sambal packets. The sambal itself is sweet with a mild hint of spiciness and there's a good amount of anchovies and onions in the sambal. There's an outdoor and indoor seating area as well. Will definitely come back here for the experience surely.

Noodles are so-so, but have those old lane feeling maybe cause of the worn out shop. Overall cleaniness still 👍

If you're in the mood for top-notch roasted duck, make sure to check out Restoran Sin Keong Kee. This traditional eatery, adorned with simple plastic furniture, is always bustling with customers, especially during lunchtime. The popularity of their delicious dishes often results in a wait of approximately 20 minutes for a table. On my first visit, I tried their succulent Char Siew and pork ribs which were absolutely outstanding.
This is my first visit. I ordered Char Siew with Roast pork and pork ribs. Excellent Char Siew and Pork ribs. Definitely, one of the Best that I’ve ever eaten. It’s tender, succulent, fragrant and burnt just right. Highly recommended 👍👍👍 I will try the Roast duck and chicken on my next visit.

Ordered duck rice and roasted pork for 1 portion. The duck was cut superbly thin, and was served with few slices of roasted pork (not crispy) plus soup was served COLD! The food overall nothing special I would say. Can get way better taste at other shop. Would be my last visit.

Had the usual big plate of duck, plus char siew, roasted meat, peanut soup and noodles… the roast are well caramelised… yums

The duck rice is moderately good. But the portion given is by thin slices instead of giving in pieces. Add 1 egg. RM9 I find it expensive. Say 1 egg RM2. Duck 6 slices cost RM6 + rice RM1.

My go to place for lunch after golf. I love their duck, char siew and roast pork. I remembered their duck used to be a lot more flavourful but its still good.

Roast pork, char siew, roast duck and roast chicken, perfect Rice still ok, whole set at RM24.70 The only down side is there's peanut at the bottom of the plate with their sauce, I'm allergic to peanut, so it's kinda affecting my appetite

Worst ever place to have a meal. Food is not even nice and rice was served cold. Not forgetting a lady working there which may be the owner was extremely rude and showing attitude towards us as customers. Just because we are not Chinese, doesn’t mean she can be treated us in such a way. Super disappointed and regret of wasting money here. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Their chicken is very juicy and tasty. The char siew pork rib is absolutely delicious. Chicken cost RM 5 and the pork rib RM 10. Will definitely come back again for the ribs.

Very decent Bah Kut Teh. Well worth the visit. Friendly staff.

Used to be my favourite Bak Kut teh restaurant in Johor. Regrettably, today’s experience made me not wanting to visit them anymore. We ordered the spare ribs soup, small intestines soup 粉肠, pork kidney, braised bean curd skin, fried fritters, boiled pickled mustard cabbage, white rice. The pork ribs soup was bland, very thin in taste. The only spice I could detect was the overwhelming cinnamon which masked all flavours, if any. Meat was tough, tasteless, and contained bits and pieces of bone fragments. No flavours, no taste. The rice was uncooked. Half cooked, half raw. Small intestines were ok, springy, no smell, nothing much to scream about. Sliced Kidneys were not well cleaned, hence had very strong urine flavour. Texture was alright, tender and crunchy. Boiled pickled mustard cabbage was ok. Cooked until soft, clean, clear taste but slightly oily. Braised bean curd skin was average. Fritters was slightly soggy. Really, nothing much to compliment.

Old school bak kut teh. Herbal soup taste was good. I had 3 refill of soup. Meat was just right and succulent. The tofu, however, wasn't that good as expected.

No worth going anymore. Seller not honest. Order give wrong, food item not as order. When confronted the seller keep give excuse.

(Translated by Google) My family and I must eat Bak Kut Teh (lunch) every year when we return to Malaysia. The taste of this time-honored brand is delicious! The soup is top notch. Especially pickles, fried dough sticks and pig's feet vinegar, my favorite😁😁😁 (Original) 我和家人每年回马来西亚必吃的肉骨茶(午市),老字号的味道就是好吃!汤头一流。 尤其咸菜,油条和猪脚醋,我的最爱😁😁😁

If you're in Kulai, don't miss out on Tropical Garden Restaurant, a renowned eatery known for its excellent Chinese cuisine. This popular establishment offers over 100 different Chinese dishes and is always bustling with customers, especially during peak hours and special occasions. Be sure to try their Crispy Boneless Chicken with Thai Sauce, which is the restaurant's signature dish and a favorite among food enthusiasts.
Visited Tropical Garden Restaurant, Kulai for the first time on 5 August 2023, Sat, as it was our first visit to Kulai. Not only did we have a sumptuous meal there, we had one of the best hospitality we've experienced in a long time. We tried the Assam fish and it was so flavourful and tasty. We also had the stir fried brinjal with dried shrimps. The eggplant was deep fried first before being stir fried with cripsy dried shrimps, hence, there's a light cripsy layer on the eggplant. There were tiny bits of pork lard in there as well, that made the dish fragrant and layered with textures. We also had the signature crispy roasted chicken, which had some slight tangy sauce at the bottom with cashew nuts. The star of the entire experience at the restaurant was the warm, friendly, chatty and service oriented motherly staff that took our order and served us. She gave us suggestions and assistance not only for our orders, but even when we asked for directions to our next location. When I jokingly asked if I could have more of the crackers, she very happily obliged and brought me more crackers! When she saw that we were taking pictures immensely, she came over and saw that there was no nice deco on the chicken and said that she'll bring it back to the kitchen to put on some nice deco so that we could have nice pics. And off she went, hurriedly to put on some greens and a pink flower for the chicken. It was really really kind and sweet of her. With her warm and impeccable service, our first day and first trip to Kulai was off to a superb start!

Went in a coach group occupying 4 tables. They place 11pax per table, but the quantity is barely enough. Rush out dishes and felt hurried eating. Then they keep trying to clear table and pressure us in passive aggressive ways to make us leave like keeping our unfinished teas and removing tea pots. Toilet doors broken and uses chopsticks instead. Shame in contrast to the proper table cloth set up. Restaurant refuses to help us charge our phones, unlike others. Staff are grim looking.
