Nature & Parks
Hiking area
Myrtle Beach State Park is a 312-acre oceanfront park which offers recreational opportunities like swimming, fishing, and hiking. The state park is also educational as it has exhibits on the history of the area and the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) which developed it. It is a great tourist attraction in Myrtle Beach since its not very crowded and has plenty of seasonal activities available.
A great state park. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The park is well kept. My wife and I camped in site 001 for president’s day weekend. We liked how there is plenty of tree coverage but a short walk and you’re on the beach. The facilities are nice and clean. While there were many visitors and campers it didn’t feel crowded at all. It’s away from all the hustle and bustle of the main strip but it’s only a short drive if you want to visit all that. The Myrtle airport is literally right next to the park so there are the planes coming and going but it’s not that bad and much of the time we didn’t even notice them. If you can, visit the Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar. There are 2 of them at Myrtle but one is only a few minutes from the park. Some horse owners were there and you could ride the horses on the beach, for a few we assume, we didn’t ride them. Not sure if they’re there everyday or only certain times. They showed up in the morning. Overall a great experience and we would definitely visit again.

Probably one of the best State park campgrounds all around. The park is right in the middle of MB, sandwiches by beachfront high rises, but feels completely secluded from all the commerce. 300 ft from the beach, the campground is perfectly situated with well managed grounds and facilities. The campstore is well stocked and opens late. Just don't find these combination anywhere. We biked, beached, surf fished, pier fished day and night, and did plenty side attractions near by. Did i mention how flat the beach and shallow areas are? Great beach without crowded day trippers. Oasis.

This park is fabulous! Clean and well maintained! Everyone that worked there was very friendly. You will not be disappointed! tucked away in the woods with a very short walk to the beach right from your campsite. We walked to the beach every morning to watch the sunrise & look for sea shells, our boys and my dad fished the pier everyday, They had a blast! I have teen boys so they loved the pier fishing & they love disc golfing, They really enjoyed playing the course that is located right by the state park. We are already planning our next trip! ❤️

Totally worth it! I’m sure we only had them to explore a small portion of the park, but man was it worth it!!!! They also allow you to come back same days once you’d paid. I love that they allow dogs (we took her to beach after 5pm) and omg it was so much fun. This beach is a lot quieter than most down by the hotels. It feels cleaner too. We loved the pier and little boardwalks. Took a quick trail too which was super scenic. Overall, beautiful experience.

This is great campground with a variety of sites to choose from. Easy access to the beach from the campground via walking or drive your car up to the campground parking lot next to the campground beach access to shave off a minute or two of the 5min walk. Camp store was well stocked. 7lb bags of ice were $3. Bundles of wood were $9something. A little high! The main bathhouse next to the camp store was fairly clean. My only complaint was the very low water pressure, especially if others are showering or a lot of people are coming in and out using the restroom/washing hands. The nature center area was cute! All the employees we encountered around the campground were pleasant and helpful! The noise of the planes flying over wasn't an issue at all and we were tent camping on site 169 & 171, which are the closest sites to the planes flying overhead. It was neat to see them from the beach too.

Great campground! We were at site 25 and we loved it. Very level and plenty of room. This was our second trip but Lord willing, not our last.

I gotta admit the South Carolina State Park at Myrtle Beach was better than I expected. We were on a sandy campsite, but compared to the commercial campgrounds nearby it was big and relatively private. Also they have lots of shower/bathroom/laundry facilities, more than I've seen at any other campground and more than is shown on the website. The interior roads were paved and the almost all of the campsites pretty big, but are sand/dirt. They also have a nice camp store, nature center/trails and of course a GREAT beach with free fishing pier. If you forget any 'beachy' stuff there's another gift shop as you walk into the pier. Of course the best thing for me was the price and at $70/night it was about half the cost of the other campgrounds nearby.

We camped in the overflow camp ground. It was much more secluded than the main camp. Even though the sites were very close together, it felt much more like camping. The walking distance from the beach being so short made the closeness worth it. I have to drop one star because I didn't expect how many roaches I would encounter. I'm also not a local, so I would not have expected seeing some so big. A very well-fed raccoon also lives in the park. I saw many adorable creatures on my visit, but just a warning that it's not afraid of getting close. Other than that it is a very well maintained park, all staff are friendly, and there are tons of things to do.

We were looking forward to visiting this park. I have to say the person on the gate was so polite and so helpful a very pleasant surprise as you rarely get that in south Florida where we live. He also gave us a few useful hints including telling us the entry receipt would give us free entry into a close by State Park called Huntington Beach State Park if went the same day. The parks are open until 10pm so very doable in a day. There are so many small parking lots to give you a different location to visit within the park. There is a pier which is advertised as “it’s always free to walk on our pier”, but of course the entry charge to the park of $8 per adult, without any reduction for seniors or locals etc, means you are paying really. Be aware pets are not allowed on the pier and you have to go through the gift shop to enter so you will be checked. We also saw a pod of Dolphin swim by the pier and no matter how often you see that that it is still a sight that warms your heart. The camp ground offered lots of shade and is very close to the beach but does not offer beach views as far as we could tell. The beach is very clean with fine white sand and is great to walk on as it has a very firm base near the waterline. We went in March so it was pretty quiet. There are walking trails through the trees which are not over taxing, but be prepared to appear from your trail in a different spot to your car. This didn’t bother us but it will mean you have to navigate your way back to your car. All part of the fun for us and it gave another opportunity to investigate this park and continue to enjoy a very relaxing time in the cold but on a bright sunny blue sky day.

This is such a gorgeous place with beach and pier access. There is a ton of parking and plenty of camping spots. The views are unbeatable - we could just spend the day listening to the waves and watching the tide. The office on the beach has resources, snacks, and gifts.

AWESOME guy at the entrance gate! So clean, peaceful and beautiful inside, really cool coastal forest habitat and great beach. Stayed until closing at 10 and it was great all day. When it’s dark you get an awesome view of the city in the distance on the beach, it looks like it’s glowing. Great facilities and little hiking trails.

The best camp store ever. Beautiful beach and pier. Huge campground. Plenty of updated restrooms. Nice trails. The site we were in at stayed wet for the 4 days we were there and the airplanes overhead were loud.
ericha thompson — Google review
The park is beautiful and well equipped for our 15ft teardrop camper. The camp sites are big and clean. Close access to the beach and the weather in January is perfect! Only negative thing is the jets flying in and out of the near by airport. If you are a lite sleeper think twice. My husband and I didn't mind it much just reminded us of thunder. Over all great place.
Christie Downs — Google review
The beach, pier, and picnic facilities are unmatched! Better than at any resort I have stayed. If I scored it based on the campsites, it would be 3 stars. Small, close sites.... but the rest of the park more than made up for that. 3-5 minute walk to the beach from any site. AMAZING picnic shelters and walkways between beach access points. We will return.
Rebecca Hammitt — Google review
PROS: For families it's great, fantastic beach access to one of the world's best beaches, loops of campground roads to ride bikes, playgrounds, Interpretive programs, game areas, laundry, store, close to main drag and all MB has to offer... action packed! Fairly quiet after 9:30 pm. Staff are efficient, friendly and genuine. CONS:The first plane took off at 5:20 this a.m. directly overhead. The restroom floors are a muddy slippery mess all day (there are fans/ac units but not operating). Showers in 2023 need LOCKABLE doors. Biking in park is taking your life in your hands because of fast cars and narrow roads. If you like real nature and space this isn't really your campground!
Jeannine Williams (mrsbananaslug) — Google review
Place is beautiful no doubt about it. Problem is the very limited information that it can be found on line in regards to the pier. I called asking prices to fish in the pier and was told $8 per adult and $3 for kids (5 to 3). I was ok with that until we came to the park and charged us $8 per adult just to enter and park and another $8 to fish!! About 60 bucks later we’re fishing in a pretty old pier with little to no shade. You must enter through the store who will nickel and dime you for everything! Didn’t even provide of any rule book to follow with bag limits and sizes. Were to to download generic app to get that info. Since was over 94 degree, we ran of water super fast and the only water available was to be bought. You can find cheaper places elsewhere and just as pretty
Rodrigo Ugalde — Google review
Love it. $8.00 per person to get in however you can use the pass the same day to also enter Huntington Park. There was plenty of parking, clean restrooms with running water, flush toilets and changing rooms. There was also a gift shop. There was also an outside shower to was the sand off.

We loved this campground. Biking to the beach is easy, I saw lots of guests with golf carts. The bathroom is always super clean. All staff members are super kind and caring. Our dog loved his walks around the park and even to the beach. Beautiful sunrise every morning.

We camped here for two nights. The campground was crowded but everyone was respectful and followed the posted rules and regulations. Enjoyed hearing kids laughing, watching families have quality time together. Lots of walkers, kids on bikes and accompanying pets so drive slowly. Store was open til 9:15pm if you forgot something. Number of people in the park is monitored and they close it when it gets full. Highly recommend spending time here vs. down at the boardwalk. Early April temps were warm enough to be on the beach with a little water play, but chilly enough to just enjoy the sand and sun.

Beyond words absolutely beautiful days and nights. My favorite part was of course meandering the beach for hours searching for treasure. I found a beautiful shell fragment perfectly honed down into perfect pearlescent guitar pic shape. Brought it back for my son. A few jelly fish in the late afternoon, can’t remember what kind but him they were small and basically 🤭 harmless. Had fun playing in the waves of course and chilling on the beach for hours…The surrounding shopping and food was abundant in options and price variance.

First time staying here and it’s absolutely amazing. We stayed in a pull through site. Some of the sites are tight for big rigs and I can see it being more difficult to maneuver through the park but being so close to beach is awesome. It’s just a short walk to the beach. We arrived in time for a gorgeous sunset. The park is quiet for the most part. It is located near the airport so you do hear the planes over head. The bath house was clean. The park is located within driving distance of shopping and attractions.

Sadly my partner was questioned weather or not we were SC residents. Even though we had SC plate on car. Rude man at front who didn't even tell us pier was closed. Typical scam from a state park employee. They don't offer a veterans discount unless your active duty. Sad, Won't return waste of money. Park near by for free and access beach from southern or northern points of the state park lines. Grounds are kept clean.
Christopher LeBron — Google review
This is a great state park we visited this morning. Driving into the park, it’s heavily wooded and certainly does not feel like you are at the beach. Nice little drive in. Upon getting to the beach area, there’s a very nice pier. Our main objective was to collect shells. They say this is one of a few locations where shells are plentiful and I must say they are 100% right. I don’t think we have ever retrieved so many shells in one location! We were beyond pleased. The cost was $8 per adult which I thought was reasonable. If you are looking for shells in the area, this place definitely has them!

Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a seaside amusement park located in Myrtle Beach that features a variety of family-friendly rides, including classic roller coasters and modern thrill rides. The park also has an arcade, various games and a ferris wheel.
Our family enjoyed our visit to this vintage style amusement park. It has fun unique rides with short waits. The Swamp Fox Coaster is a true gem. We would definitely return.

Fun place for kids and adults ! We bought the wrist band for our 7yr old and 4 yr old which was a good deal because they rode a lot of the rides multiple times. My wife and I both got wristbands and really could've just done one of us but it worked out just fine. There are a lot of younger kids rides to keep them entertained and the bigger rides for kids that enjoy the speed and bigger ones. I wish there was a little more choices for food but then again it was early in the spring break and kind've chilly out so maybe a few weren't opened yet. Overall great place for a family day of fun. -- inlaws walked around with our infant while he was in stroller. There is NO charge for admission which is nice.

Great place for the family. I had my doubts, I'm not usually a carnival person but the kids loved it and the variety of rides was great. There is alot for kids 30 inches to do alone and with an adult and if course a lot kids up from there. Not a ton of food but just enough. Price felt fair and the staff was all very friendly. There's also a 2nd day discount (see pic). Worth going if you have a few hours.

Took my daughter (3 years old in a month) here our last night of vacation! The wristbands are $33, but was totally worth every penny seeing her the very first ride, and how happy/excited she was!! They had so many rides for her it was wonderful! Great place for smaller/younger kids! A few of the rides required an adult to ride with your child, but if they were, you rode most for free without having to give them tickets!! So don't go and buy more tickets for yourself unless you plan on riding bigger rides that the kids can't. Be aware that they offer no refunds or rainchecks..Watch out! They sell parking for $20, but if you drive 100 ft down from there it's only $10!! Also, the lines are horrible at 8pm so I suggest going before (or after) then.

Excellent destination for the family specially if you have kids only one thing I didn't expect a lot of big roaches outside in the street or wall 🤢😵‍💫😫 otherwise we enjoyed our vacation there and the beach was cool with some big waves 😎

Loads of fun but high priced! We've been to countless waterside amusement parks and this one is by far the most costly we've been to. Six flags and Kings Dominion are this price (AND LESS)

Iconic landmark must visit place while in Myrtle Beach! You will not be disappointed. There are rides for people of all ages.....elementary school aged and up. Rides, games, and typical carnival/fair type food. You can spend an entire evening there which we did. The swamp fox coaster is awesome! An old school wood coaster that is a blast. The ferris wheel gives GREAT views. The Hurricane is another iconic must ride. I used to go here every time I came to Myrtle, which was often, when in my teens, 20s. Loved it then, love it still. The place is a must for beach vacation fun memories. I took my young sons during this visit to get them hooked on this place and it was a success. Ticket and food prices are not too expensive either. One suggestion....get there when it first opens to be the crowds and hit as many rides as you can before lines get long. Then later in the evening or night you've done them and don't mind the lines to ride again. The lines go smooth but there is expected average wait times. The place overall is very well run and everything is very well maintained. Friendly staff who know what they're doing and how to handle the crowds. They run a tight ship. I tell everyone I know who goes to Myrtle for the 1st time to visit this place, and they come back very happy. I hope you all reading this review will too. Enjoy!

We had a good time. If you're going to ride all the rides it's better to get the wristband for $32. If you have a family of 4 then it's cheaper to get the family 4 pack for $115. We had 4 kids that age ranged from 17, 13, 11, 7. They had rides for all ages. Some of the rides don't take the wristbands but for as many rides as they had it was worth the price. They had a good amount of cash games as well as food vendors. We were there from 830pm to 11pm. It was not as crowded so we were able to enjoy almost all of the rides. The price for food and beverages were a bit high. That's the only thing I would complain about. Other than that it was a good time, money well spent on the rides, and memories that were made. which is priceless.

Went with family and a little one, so many rides for kids, she had a blast. Place was crowded but we didn't even wait to get on the rides. Their funnel cakes are delicious. So many things to do. We had sooo much fun. We're definitely visiting again.

Our family had a great time ,we rode everything 😊 Myself and my angel son Leigh rode the roller coaster, that's my first time ever , however growing up as a child at Myrtle Beach all the time as my step dad and uncle Mike worked on the motels that we're damaged during a tornado or hurricane/ plus sprinkler systems etc we my brother sister and I always got to go to the beach ,as I grew up had kids of mine own we kept the tradition of beach /shopping/eating Amazing seafood and early morning breakfast....2023 David,Lori ,Heath and David Jr cranes beach trip

Been coming here for years. Cannot say anything bad about the park besides they close at 10 oclock sometimes without warning. This was a great place to bring the family for an evening. However this year your prices have more than doubled and im sorry to say its not worth the money anymore. I can understand an increase in pricing because of inflation and all but over 50% price increase is way to much. 50 dollars for a wristband now. No thanks. Your not carowinds, 6 flags, or kings island. You have a very small amusement park. I hate to wish any bad luck here but i hope people starts sticking together and choose to walk on by these greedy businesses..

Our family of five had the best time! I highly recommend the wristband. We spent hours and barely waited for a ride. The rides were great, the staff was so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend getting there at open and just spending the entire day! It was fantastic and reasonably priced for how many hours of entertainment it provides.

This place is fun. It reminds me of the fairgrounds carnival. It's very organized. I like the scan bracelet. No more lost tickets. Things are a bit pricey to buy, but that's to be expected. You know, $10+ funnel cake, $12 lemonade, etc. I wanted to get on the slingshot ride. Ut the line was too long. Get on that one early before the crowds come. The lines for rides went fairly quickly. I just wish they could give the heads up on parking, but here goes. Park at the meters, if you can. They are a butt-load cheaper than the parking lot. They meters use parking apps, so no need for change. The meter parking came up to $4.16 for about 3-4 hrs. The parking lot gave a flat fee for 12 hour parking. Overall, I can't wait to come back. I had my infant with me, so I couldn't get on hardly anything, but my teens had fun. Photos were taken on the ferris wheel. I hope this review helps.

BEWARE OF THE DRAGON RIDE. IT MALFUNCTION WHILE WE WAS ON THE RIDE. THE WORKER POORLY HANDLED THE SITUATION. PLEASE BE CAREFUL EVERYONE A DANGEROUS STEP NO SIGNAGE SAYING WATCH YOUR STEP. A extremely fun attraction. Something a entire family can enjoy together. Very kid friendly and has a area especially for very small children. One where you can keep your eyes on your child all while they enjoy themselves. A must visit Amusement Park if you're ever in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Full disclosure that my family and I went on opening day and the day after on spring break so it was not busy at all. If your kids are overwhelmed by crowds and sounds this is the perfect time to bring them. The weather was just right (even though it was in the 60s) and my kids were able to repeat rides without waiting. I would recommend the wristbands for the kids because credits add up after a few rides. My kids were between 36-42 inches and able to get on a good amount of kiddie rides without an adult but there’s a few that do require adult ride support. The overall experience was good but there wasn’t much food options because of opening day but there were nearby restaurants. Also, we didn’t have to pay the 15$ for parking at the Friendly’s for opening week. It was free.
Vanessa — Google review
This place was awesome. Now I'm not saying it didn't cost money but if a resident of South Carolina buys your wristbands they can get up to 4 for half price. There are some rides that cost money but they are fairly priced in my opinion. We all had an amazing time. Place was busy but lines were not that bad. I also want to emphasize how amazing all the employees there were. So polite and helpful. When the park closed at 11:30 the young man in charge of 1 of the rides stayed late to let everyone in line ride that had been waiting. My 63 year old mother in-law had fun. I'm 41 and my wife is 33. We had fun. Kids 8 and 5 had a blast. We also got an " old time " photo there and it turned out awesome.

Cozy Indian restaurant with friendly hospitable service. The food was amazingly delicious, authentic and so full of flavor. If you’re vegan, they have several options you can choose from including vegetable samosas and several other options. Just let your server know if you’re vegan and they’ll show you what options are safe.

A little late to post a review as my wife and I came to eat here on October 7, but better late than never! We enjoyed our service here. The host seems to know his customers, as he had conversations with several people while we were there. They are welcoming and friendly. We came just a little after 7:30. It is a nice small little restaurant. Our food took about 30 min or so, but we filled our time with the papad (ordered twice), the samosa Chaat, and the pakodas from the appetizers. Each was quite enjoyable and you can tell they were made fresh. For the main course, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and my wife ordered the Dal Fry. We both ordered ours very spicy. I have eaten at several Indian restaurants before. In Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Louisville, D.C. Vegas, and when I tell you this chicken Tikka wason the top of the list... Not saying it is the best I have ever had, but it was up there on the list. Chicken was tender, not chewy, well seasoned, and the spice level was on point. And I am a man who likes his spicy food. Sometimes I like it hotter than a volcano, sometimes just as an accent, but it was very well balanced in my order. The Dal Fry was also really liked by my wife, in terms of spicy and flavor. Almost just like we make at home, which is a big compliment from her. I tasted and agreed as well. We also got some orders of garlic naan. I give it 4 out of 5 stars for 2 reasons. 1) both our orders needed a bit more salt to be perfect. But we asked for some salt and pepper shakers to fix that easily 2) the mukwas (mouth freshener) at the register that you help yourself to on the way out was stale. Based on the mixed reviews I can only say your experience may vary. We had a great one. Make sure you come with sometime Incase the kitchen gets busy if the restaurant has more customers, but I would definitely recommend the food. I would definitely eat here again if I visit Myrtle Beach

Delicious all around. Even my picky grandma enjoyed her food. I’ve been a customer here since 2017 and all I can say is every visit here has been satisfying. Highly recommend the onion pakora and the biryani and the everything else. I can tell the owner of this restaurant is very passionate about the business and that the cooks are committed. Bonus points for sensory friendly lighting!

Before I start my review, let me say that I am an experienced cook of Indian food and also have a ton of experience eating at Indian restaurants in the States. Today’s dinner at Bombay at the Beach would rank as one of my worst experiences of food at an Indian restaurant anywhere. Period. My family of four ordered mango lassi, chicken chops (appetizer), navratan korma, fish masala, daal tadka, garlic naans and shrimp biryani. We also wanted to order papads (papadum) but they were out if those. What kind of Indian restaurant runs out of papads? The mango lassi arrived immediately (of course) but was bland and too sweet. The rest of the food did not arrive until 45 minutes later! (We were given no forewarning or apology that the food would take time.) The chicken chops were terribly mild, flavorless and lacked salt even. The chicken was a bit rough and didn’t taste good at all. The navratan korma was not thick enough and the gravy had no taste of cashes or the other spices and ingredients that make up the “navratan” (the Nine Gems). The veggies used in the dish were straight out a mixed vegetables frozen pack (carrots, french beans, broccoli, etc). That also was a huge turn off! The daal was decent but again not top quality. The fish masala was barely okay. The shrimp biryani was a joke!! It was simply some light gravy mixed in rice that made the biryani taste quite basic. There was no layering of other ingredients (eg. fried onions, nuts, potatoes, etc - these were missing). The biryani had 6-7 pieces of shrimp; that’s all. And again, quite flavorless and tasteless. Lastly, all dishes were priced at a three dollar level (e.g. $16 for entrees, $19 for biryani, etc). One would expect tastier food and better service at such a place. My entire family left quite, quite disappointed. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Excellent authentic and fresh every time! I have not eaten here once that it was not delicious. The Samosa chaat, the chicken chops, the onion pakora and the mango lassi are among my favorites. The staff are so kind and work hard to make sure you get quality food. This is not a fast food restaurant everything is cooked fresh so you may have to be prepared to wait but believe me it’s worth the wait. The restaurant closes between 2 and 5 PM in order to prepare fresh goodness for the evening shift. Don’t miss out on this wonderful little restaurant that is within walking distance of the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Also the biryani and shahi naan are a must try. Honestly you can not go wrong here no matter what you order. It’s a pleasure to have Bombay at the Beach as a part of Myrtle Beaches diverse culinary cuisine, that features halal options.

After being disappointed the last 2 times with my go-to Indian restaurant, I decided to try Bombay at the Beach. We went in and the person working didn't say anything to us, but handed us menus and pointed to an area to sit. It took him a few minutes to take our order, and we had to get our own drinks and utensils, so that kinda caught me off guard along with not being greeted. Once he walked over to take our order I asked what he recommended, so we got that (spicy lamb curry) and I got samosa and the tandoori mix along with the chefs special naan. The samosas and chutneys were on point! The lamb curry was so so so good. The tandoori mix plate was lacking flavor, but the other food was so good I didn't care. I just asked for more chutneys to dip it in. The server didn't talk much, but he was nice. Also, you have to get your own to-go box and take your bill to the register to check out. Service wasn't what I'm used to, but it won't deter me from returning. I'm already looking forward to trying more food there! I hope next time is as good as this time. If so, this will be my new Indian go-to! Also, prices are fair for the most part but a can of soda will run you $2.75.

I and my wife had lunch buffet at Bombay at the Beach. Food is delicious and authentic. Naan and Samosa are the best. Not so much verity, but everything offered on buffet was tasty. $22 for verity they offered was bit expensive, but given tourist destination it’s okay i guess. I ordered their pistachio kulfi to go. It is bite size for 3 bucks. It is a must try. Service is good. One person is taking care of everything, but very efficient. He is very polite and friendly. The place is pretty rundown. When I asked about it he told me that they are moving out to new building at the end of this year and hence not renovating.

No frills mom and pop place with robust flavors. The Chicken Chops were surprisingly good.

I'm a regular here with my mom and we always have a nice and peaceful time. My mom always orders the chicken vindaloo and I always switch it up but stick with the chicken dishes. We also order naan all the time and the food always comes out hot which is a good thing. Have an open mindset and always check the times which this place is open, never try new places with a tight schedule.

Amazing place and an amazing host. We were greeted and seated by an amazing person and the food was in great taste and quality too. You must try the filter coffee there without a miss!

Anything I say about this place is a little bit. It is a wonderful classic style. The beach and this area. I adore it, especially when you see a beach mixed with colors. It is comfortable to look at and a body to relax. I highly recommend visiting it.

First time in Myrtle Beach, so many options to choose from and service and food was delicious. Gobi Manchurian: 10/10 Not in Menu we asked for it and they prepared it, give them a preparation time it’s worth waiting. Dal-Tadka: 10/10 Rice: 10/10 Roti: 7/10 (could be better baked) Best india freshly prepared food around.

I love to eat at this place. The food is outstanding as always, the service leaves something to be desired. As observed in other reviews, the kitchen seems to be working serially, so if you are just behind a large to go order like I was today, expect to wait for a very long time. The saving grace is that the food is good and makes me come back in NY case. I wish the buffet would come back but I guess that is not on the cards ant time soon.

If you love Indian food, go to Bombay on the Beach! Even if you are on vacation, these dishes hit the spot, & who says you have to have seafood every meal by the water? The old building may look closed, but they open at 5pm, every day but Wednesday. Cozy & quiet. Look for open sign in the windows. Very, very tasty!

Nestled snugly in Myrtle Beach, Bombay at the Beach is more than just an Indian food haven—it's a warm, family-owned treasure exuding a laid-back, homey vibe with awelcoming atmosphere. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to catering to diverse dietary needs. As someone navigating special eating restrictions with Celiac disease, their menu thoughtfully featured gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. This was a separate menu provided to me and made me feel not just accommodated, but truly welcomed and safe. Delving into our meal, the Shrimp Korma and Kadai Goat were sublime choices, both gluten-free and bursting with warm genuine flavors. The rice pudding left us craving seconds. While I couldn't savor the Chef Naan myself, watching my partner relish its huge, aromatic, and buttery goodness added to the cozy, communal feeling. Beyond the tantalizing dishes, the restaurant's relaxed vibe was pervasive. The cleanliness of the bathrooms spoke volumes about their attention to detail and care. Despite the lack of wheelchair accessibility—admittedly a drawback due to the stairs—the effort to reach the restaurant felt worth it for the heartwarming food experience. The personal touch of setting up your own plates, utensils, and water, alongside easy-to-use to-go containers, added to the laid-back, familial aura I personally cherish. I personally do not like being waited on. I would always choose to dine at an establishment without it. Theur Grub Hub pickup area by the register showcased their adaptability to modern dining preferences, making takeout orders convenient if this is your preference. Bombay at the Beach isn't just about outstanding food; it's a haven that embraces visitors with a cozy, inviting ambiance. Its relaxed atmosphere, coupled with an array of delicious, accommodating dishes, beckons anyone seeking a warm dish in Myrtle Beach.

Wow!! We were introduced to this place by a dear friend/faithful customer for over a decade, and now we know why he keeps going back to Bombay at the Beach! Mr. Bekah welcomed us warmly and brought us some appetizers - warm crispy papadam with dips, delicious thick samosas and pakoras, a mixed grill (tandoori meats and seafood) with a side of mango lassi. Everything was just incredible!! We had skipped breakfast so we definitely still had room for entrées. We opted for butter chicken, lamb curry, and chicken saag with garlic herbed naan. Good luck picking a favorite with this explosion of flavors on your taste buds!! You won’t forget it! I always love me some Indian food and Bombay at the Beach sure knows how to deliver! We then had a delicious dessert with rice pudding and gulab jamun. Mr. Bekah shared a little bit of his journey with us. It was very touching. He’s a quiet meek guy who recognizes his blessings and takes a lot of pride in working hard and making delicious meals for his customers to enjoy. Hop over there on a really empty stomach and enjoy an incredible meal!

Decent Indian food. I think there is only 1 or 2 people who work here. Our greeter was our kinda server as well as cashier and possibly cook. You have to get your own water and dinner wear.

10/10 recommend! This by far is the best Indian food we have experience in Myrtle Beach. The vegetarian Samosas are amazing! The curry lamb was great! Vegan Dishes are great as well for those who are vegan like my boyfriend. Staff were nice and very knowledgeable of menu and best choices for what you are considering. The sweet tea is addicting. Will be back to try the buffet soon!

Amusement park
Myrtle Waves Water Park is a huge water park that is perfect for all ages and offers plenty of amusement for everyone. The park features more than 30 rides, including a massive wave pool and a children's aquatic playground, making it the perfect place to cool off during the summer months.
Had an awesome time here. The rides were very well maintained and every one was extremely friendly. I also like how my little one could go on just about everything as well. The only concern I had was at the beginning the lady at the check in area up charged my one kid although clearly they were under 48”, she then said the stick is off by a couple inches.

7 Attractions Closed and Very Busy. Overall my kids had fun but there were too many things closed today. The lines were long. They need to let in less people if they are closing 7 rides. If you are using a Groupon be prepared to pay the taxes before they will accept the Groupon which is not disclosed when buying the Groupon.

This is a really nice place, my family and I loved it. It's a must see attraction if you are in Myrtle Beach. We went during the week, and it made it even better as there was no real wait for anything. If you are anything like me, the wave pool is a good alternative for going to the beach. We could ride the lazy river all day. I loved that the parking was free. Check Groupon and sites alike to see if there is a discount on tickets. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in South Carolina

Very nice place for families with children. The kids had a great time, I would recommend this facility to others and will return! Pros: 1.Lots of activities for children of all ages. 2. Park is clean 3. Many lifeguards at every pool. Cons: 1. Several rides were closed. 2. Extremely young staff and many of them lack customer service skills and manners. We had an issue with an attendant at the funnel cake booth with the young lady who was just plain rude. The supervisor Lesia? came over and spoke to us regarding the experience, she was very polite, had excellent customer service skills and was very eager to resolve the situation. I get it, we are recovering from a pandemic and most places here at the beach have been forced to hire very young teens to work these jobs. At least these young people are out working….most of the adults are still sitting at home. Hopefully they will learn a thing or two about working and what’s expected of them.

Great fun place for a family outing. The rides and activities are good, though I find the seating very less so it is inconvenient to find a spot. They have too little chairs so we had to settle on a picnic table. The food is typical water park food.. really nothing for vegetarian people.

Nice. Staff is very kind and life guards are everywhere so parents feel safe letting slightly older kids go free. Clean. Italian ice is very good. Ample chairs. You need to think local; this is not on the scale of Volcano Bay or Carowinds or Busch Gardens. Showing its age in places, but the bottom line is that my kids had a blast- and that's all that matters!

I went to Myrtle Waves most recently on June 6, 2021, and as usual my 4-year-old daughter had a blast, per usual. Reviewing this park strictly from a parents’ point of view, I think Myrtle Waves is the perfect way to spend the day from an entertainment and value standpoint. From the lazy river to the kiddie pool to the kiddie slides to the wave pool, there is plenty for toddlers to enjoy. Food options are decent and thankfully there is beer :) I think to maximize the value of admission you should plan to spend most of the day there but once you arrive I feel like you won’t want to do anything else. Enjoy the sun, blue waters, and Carolina vibe.
Brent Reser — Google review
The family really enjoyed themselves. The park was extremely spacious with tons of age appropriate water stations. Even though it rained and there was lightning, we didn't have a lot of time. But we did get rain tickets so that was a plus. One thing that this place should offer is a price for parents that attend for supervision with no intentions on getting in the water like myself.

What a super fun experience!!! Best water slides and tube rides I have ever experienced! Comparable to Bush Gardens water country, they have such a great selection of fun for all ages! If you can afford it, I highly suggest getting a cabana for the day, and is best if you buy in advance. By the time we arrived they were sold out, but luckily we had reserved the night before. The kids, my husband, and I all had a blast! My only complaint is there is a lot of concrete to walk on and to wait in line on. I wish they had the rubber slip proof mats I’ve seen at quite a few other water attractions. It makes it much easier on the joints walking to and fro. I did slip in a few spots, where the concrete is painted. Just thankful I didn’t fall. Otherwise, was worth the money!!! We made some. Wonderful memories. Beware of the Rockin Ray! That slide scared the life out of me!!! Hahahaha

I have never been to a water park like this in my entire life!!! It brought out the kid in me. This water park was so clean and was full of fun. They have an assortment of slides and pools creating an environment for everyone. Personally, the Arooba Tuba, Halfpipe, and lazy river were my favorites of the day. It is a little pricey to visit - but my group found a great deal on Groupon (2 for 1!) if you can’t find that deal, they do offer a discount from 2-5 PM. Only downside is they close so early. I think they should be open a bit longer to get your full monies worth.
Ryann — Google review
Nice, clean park with fun slides & rides. Adult beverages available. Cabanas were ok (nice to have a central meeting spot with shade & seating), but not nearly as posh (no fans, only 2 loungers & 4 chairs with the table, nor food/ beverage service to the cabana) as those at Soaky Mountain in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The half pipe ride is a must (you'll need a partner to ride with max weight of 400 lbs...not too jarring on the old bones. There are 2 great splash pads with fun equipment for the little that aren't tall enough for the big rides. We'd def go again, especially at the price we got tickets for on Groupon.

Two of our favorite slides were closed with no info at the front check in. We were told they would open at 12. They never opened and no one knew why after multiple times asking lifeguards and supervisors. The drop slide did not open until approx 2pm. Two other adult slides were down for the day with no explanation. We have gone before and have really enjoyed our time. This experience was below par. Our family planned to come multiple times a year (and even wanted to discuss season passes) For our family of 4 we paid $193.46. Plus food for the kids and a locker we were over $260. They closed the park for thunder at 4:03 today. They didn't close technically on the website until 6pm, and we planned to stay until 6pm. When I went in to speak to guest services about a rain check. The manager Barbara asked when we arrived. I told her 11:30 and her response was "You have been here all day. What do you want?". I did not respond even though I felt her response was innapropriate. All day for us is when it closes at 6pm. I guess that Barbara does not know that when we bought the ticket we wanted to stay in the park all day. Two hours does not sound like much to some, but 20% of our paid time was closed due to circumstances out of our control. There are so many options in Myrtle Beach and we will not be back. I would suggest other options for those reading this.

A lot of kids and seems like they're having fun. Slushee, dippin dots, pizza and hotdogs with fries is the usual food selection. The waterpark fee seems affordable for most family. Tried the only salad on the menu, nothing special. I'm not a big fan.

WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is an amusement park with a wide range of interactive exhibits focusing on science. The park also features laser tag, a ropes course, and a 6D motion ride.
Absolutely awesome place to take the kids on a cold day. We only go to Myrtle in the off season and I'm sure it packed in the summer, but during the winter it was pretty calm. So many fun learning experiences, very interactive, and almost everything is included in the entrance fee (some arcade games on the top floor you have to purchase so avoid if you want 😉). We took our 7 and 4 year old and they both enjoyed it, as did we.

WonderWorks is a science focused indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment. They have over 100 hands-on exhibits. You can feel 84mph hurricane–force winds, make huge, life–sized bubbles in the Bubble Lab, do Astronaut Training and experience zero gravity. You can even lay on a Bed of Nails. This place is awesome!

Great family fun. A bit over priced if you aren't planning to partake in the different rides, rope course and laser tag. A ticket option minus these items would be great. Thankfully, we had a $7 off each ticket coupon from a coupon book provided by our resort. So it was more appropriately priced for what we wanted to do.

This place was AMAZING!!!! We stayed from 12:30pm-10pm!!! There is so much to do for all ages. The girls at the cafe were great! They served us lunch and dinner. Wish we could bring in drinks but I understand why you can’t. The only thing I recommend is they should get pop up tents for when it rains so the guests don’t have to wait in the admission line in the rain.

4 levels of pure adventure lots of interactive activities for the whole family. It is better it you have older children about 5-6 and up because some of the activities do have height requirements but they is tons of things to do for anyone. You could easy spend 2-4 hours here if you do everything. Lots and lots of fun.

Really like the place 3D movies, lots of exhibits, bed of nails, arcade machines, zip lines, and much more. Entry tunnel is kind of scary more when you have a stroller with you. Personally, I got so dizzy and just decided to get into the regular entry. It was hard to find activities for small kids 2-4 years old. I find it perfect for kids 5+, teens or even adults.

Definitely a ton of fun for the whole family! We had ages 6 mo- 9years and they all were fully amused for hours! The indoor ropes course is awesome because we came on a chilly, gloomy, and super windy day! Alot of things to read and learn! Pretty awesome place!

Wow this place has something for everyone in your group. Don’t be afraid to explore and take your time you might miss something. It is very eye opening to put your hand in the ice water in the Titanic display I couldn’t keep it in for more than a minute. Haven’t done laser tag in many years so we all had a “ Blast” lol . Wish we had more time I really wanted to do the ropes. I tried to read as much as I could enjoy learning new things.

The kids loved it, a unique blend of learning and entertainment. They also have a cool ropes course. Price seems fair roughly $32 a person for 13 and older $ 26 for 12 and younger. You can get $2 off a person with a coupon from the South Carolina welcome center. Great for a rainy day when going to the beach just isn't an option.

This place was SUPER SUPER FUN and I'm an adult lol. The kids enjoyed themselves also. So much stuff to do here and I would love to go back again. Tickets for adults(13&up, I'm sure) was $31.99. A nice, fun and educational day outing. Because it's off season we were able to come go as we please. The rides were great and everyone was kind and helpful. It's a lot bigger than it looks and even has a cafe. I would recommend for off season, cold, rainy days or if you prefer indoor activities. Fun for both adults and kids. Just note you can be too tall or too short for rides.

Lots of interactive, fun STEM learning stuff for kids at WonderWorks. We spend most of the day here because my grandson loves it so much. I have learned to buy tickets in advance when they are discounted but good for a year. Then we try to plan visits on weekdays during holiday breaks when my grandson is out of school and it’s less crowded. He especially loves laser tag and the space area.

I love stopping by WonderWorks whenever we can. The first night we got there 2 hours before closing, they said they would be closing in 30 min... So we left for the next day. This WonderWorks felt much smaller with more video games than anything, plus several of the hands-on experiences were malfunctioning. I was really disappointed as we always love going!

Very crowded, very worn, and the help on the rides moved very slow and meticulous. The kids had a great time as the worn nature of a lot of the items did not bother them.

Our entire family loved this attraction, with ages 11 to adult. WonderWorks had exhibits on various topics, as well as many rides ranging from cinematic to intense (be careful on those intense ones). It was not just young children there, but all ages. We spent 4+ hours there and it was great value for the price! We recommend the Laser Tag and astronaut themed activities especially.

The seafood restaurant Sea Captain's House offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious seafood dishes, including Atlantic Yellowfin Tuna, She Crab soup, Southern Scampi Cordon Blue, Pecan Crusted Grouper, and Jambalaya. The restaurant has spectacular ocean views that make it a favored location for tourists and locals alike.
Sea Captain's was a great choice for our brief visit to Myrtle Beach! We sat on the patio and we had an excellent coastal view!! There was also a great acoustic guitarist playing mellow versions of your favorite covers. The she crab soup was an excellent starter. The sword fish was perfectly prepaired and not over done like so many others have done in my experiences. We were treated very well by this team. I only recommend reservations in advance to ensure you have the opportunity to have a great dinner on the beach at Sea Captain's!

Lovely spot with fantastic she crab soup. Probably my favorite of all time. The chopped salad left a lot to be desired. The dressing didn't have much of a flavor at all. If I ordered it again I would definitely get different dressing. The jambalaya was pretty good. The seafood in it was delicious. Great service.
Julie Stevens — Google review
We were looking for the best seafood in Myrtle Beach and Sea Captain's was recommended by mamy people we asked and it was highly rated, so we made reservations. We were initially excited about the opportunity to dine while on the beach, but we weren't seated anywhere near a window. The service was average and then our food came. I eat a lot of seafood and I can tell you that the she crab soup was just ok and it barely had any crab in it. I guess it's all in what you are accustomed to. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. The main entrees were also flavorless. It was a bit of a let down, so we will not return based on this experience.

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Timothy came over right away , explained both history of restaurant and the menu specials of the day. He then brought us complimentary hush puppies which were light and airy and delicious. Our drink order came out quickly and both drinks were prepared perfectly. Our appetizers and meals were all cooked to perfection and were extremely tasty. Everything about our dining experience at sea captains house was amazing. We had been to this restaurant 11 years ago when we visited Myrtle Beach and wanted to go again because of the amazing seaside view while dining. The food we had this time was still amazing. I can not say enough about this place. Yes, it's a little pricey but worth every dollar. This is the only place to get good crab cakes, besides Eddy's V in Tampa, FL. The fish was so fresh that I thought it would jump off my plate. Hats off to the cook. I can not wait to go back. I never had hush puppies & honey butter, OMG... so good 👍

I enjoyed this place! I love that it is off the water and it has a very homey feeling to it. The decorations inside are beautiful and the food tastes good as well! The prices are higher but the atmosphere is worth it. My wife said her salad is one of the best she has ever had. The dressing was a poppyseed dressing. I enjoyed the pecan crusted grouper and had some fried clams. They also give you hush puppies with honey butter. We will be back again.

The waitress Madison was sooo nice! I have to give it 3 stars because I only went for the "lump" crab cakes and to my surprise there wasn't any lumps inside. It looked like the crab was shredded. The taste was just ok. The crab soup was pretty good but looks nothing like the pic on their site. Don't expect any crab meat to be in it. The bang bang shrimp was delicious and the view was beautiful.

We had a really nice dinner on a Sunday night! We ate outside on the patio and there was live music until 8PM. There is a beautiful view of the ocean. We didn’t have a reservation and waited out front for 45 minutes, which didn’t bother us. They have a bar on the patio and you can wait there or on the grassy area near the patio (and listen to the music). There was also the option to visit the bar inside or sit inside while you wait. There is plenty of parking across the street and they offer valet. My mom is vegetarian and it was nice to see the restaurant has a vegetarian/gluten free menu. Our server was outstanding! His name is Cedric and if you have the pleasure of having him, you will have a great time! We will try and request him when we return! We had the she crab soup which was very good, but ours didn’t have pieces of crab in it which would have made it better. The jambalaya and the vegetable stir fry were delicious. The shrimp and grits was good, but had a lot of cream sauce so if you like that, you are good to go! We truly loved it and we will be back!

The food is wonderful. Hush puppies are complementary and I could eat my weight in them! The fried green tomatoes are excellent. I had the fish special and it was golden tile, which I had never had before. I was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed it so much, we went back for lunch the next day

My husband & I went to Sea Captain’s House to enjoy a date night out & had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend making a reservation for the patio, great views + atmosphere. The service from all the staff was professional & welcoming. The food was 10/10! I’m pregnant & asked them to make me a couple of mocktales & they were delicious & very reasonably priced. Definitely going to make this place a go to every time we vacation this way!

Very good service. Friendly, helpful, attentive. Had bang bang shrimp tacos. Very tasty with right amount of spice and sweet with the coleslaw. Two tacos, six large fried shrimp, pickled onion and coleslaw. Great views of the beach. My only suggestion is for the manager... he came around to ask how things were. I'm happy to answer but not mid bite of a messy taco. Maybe come ask when we are finished eating.

I enjoyed the annual seafood festival today. Our second year attending. Food is fantastic and the service couldn't be better. This is a big event with over 500 people attending. They are able to keep up with the high demand. Drinks were great as always and the music was very pleasant. A special shout out to our favorite waitress Julie. Thank you again for taking such good care of us.

This is one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. All with an amazing view! Instead of bread for the table, they bring you hush puppies, and we're very glad they did, because they were the best hush puppies we've ever had! We then decided to order a few appetizers. We really enjoyed the ahi Tuna and the she crab soup, but the best appetizer was the low country boil dip. We highly recommend checking that out, it was incredible! For dinner we ordered the surf and turf (steak and scallops), which was very good, and the pecan crusted red snapper, which was one of tubby best pieces of fish we've had in ages! They were also great with our dietary restrictions, even though we understand it isn't always easy. But they made sure we knew what we could order and suggested changes to avoid issues. Everyone was outstanding!

We had a lovely dinner at the Sea Captain's House. We started with caesar salad and loved the hush puppies. My husband had the jambalaya (always his favourite) and I had the crab cakes. Both dishes was awesome. We shared the cheesecake for desert. Ocean views were awesome. Thanks to our server Henry. He did an awesome job and had great recommendations.

This is a very pretty restaurant with great decor and exceptionally lovely service. I sat at the bar near the dining room by myself and the bar staff was really good company and kept me from feeling awkward. There is also another bar in a side room. I had a salad with salmon and it was very tasty, the croutons stick out as exceptionally good. I was most excited to try the hummingbird cake, a local specialty made with a variety of fruit. For me the cake was just sweet without a distinct flavor or different notes. I didn’t have a local fish dinner which may be the way to go. Oh, I was almost scared off by talk about the parking, but I had no problem parking across the street and did not have to pay the valet. If you are looking for a memorable setting with top of the line service, this is a good choice.

We had a pleasant lunch experience. The scallop salad came recommended and was delicious. We also got a shrimp wrap, which was good, but a bit bland. Asparagus and hush puppies were tasty too. Our waitress was attentive and the ambience was pleasant. Great views of the beach.

We went to Sea Captain for dinner on our first night in Myrtle Beach because it had good reviews. The restaurant was large and crowded on Saturday night. Our server, Henry, was fantastic and took good care of us. We got hush puppies to start, and they were so good we asked for more. For our main meal, we chose the seafood combo and Chilean seabass. The seafood combo was alright, but the seabass was slightly sweet and very tasty. Their bread pudding cheesecake was out of this world delicious. We really liked their margarita and ended up having another one. We may come back just for their margarita.

Good food, great service. They started us off with hush puppies with honey butter. The She Crab soup was extremely salty. We very much enjoyed the Jambalaya and Seafood Muddle for dinner. Lovely views outside towards the beach and waves.

Was referenced to this place by a local and was not disappointed. From the cozy atmosphere to the friendly attentive staff it was delightful. Everything we had to eat was well prepared and delicious. Our group really enjoyed the lump crab cake and our drinks were well crafted. Highly recommend a stop during happy hour if you want to save a bit of cash but either way will come again every time I’m in town. Cheers!!!

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
This seafood restaurant located in Myrtle Beach is a popular spot for dinner. The menu features fresh catches of the day, scallops, whole fried fish, Lobster, Cobb Salad, and Oysters. The food is beautifully prepared and presented, making it an artistic dining experience.
Wow! Absolutely delicious! This was more than just a great meal, it was great experience. The ambiance and attention to detail was incredible as was the service. I can't recommend Hook & Barrel strongly enough. The swordfish was perfectly done with a cauliflower puree and roasted cauliflower that complemented it perfectly. Our non-seafood eater had the roasted chicken which was also delicious. For dessert, the Baked Alaska was to die for. Can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed the service and atmosphere slightly more than the food, but this is a place I'd visit again if we were back in the area. Our server was very attentive and they gave my daughter a complimentary mini cake to celebrate her special day. I had the seared tuna and was not fond of the thick drizzle of sauce (or presentation) but the portions were very large and I was unable to finish. My daughters enjoyed the scallops, liked the fish bite appetizer (lightly fried bites of various fish), and the homemade pimento was a nice starter. My husband had cioppino, he rates 7/10 because we've had amazing versions elsewhere (CA & best in GA believe it or not), and this one was a thinner red base than he's used to. The manager was happy to hear my opinion on my seared tuna meal. The decor is very pleasing (love the jellyfish above the bar and giant fish hook on the wall), and you can eat inside or outside on the wrap around porch. We were early at 5p on a Friday with reservations and I'd say it was pretty much full by the time we got our first appetizers, so it's a popular place. The old fashioned and hibiscus Cosmo (I think that's what it was) were excellent items from the bar.

Fantastic! Absolutely loved our meal. Such a polite server. We took a leap and tried this gpr the first. Don't let the wait scare you but make a reservation. Everyone I'm my family enjoyed their meal. No bad choices from the wedge salad to the peel and eat shrimp to the shrimp and grits. Nice surprise of complementary Pimento Cheese.

We arrived a little before our 6 pm reservation and got to enjoy the last few minutes of the happy hour specials! We enjoyed a couple cocktails and the fish bites! For dinner, we shared the she-crab soup, house salad, and pork chop entree with scallops added. They split everything for us since we love to share. That was an unexpected touch that we really appreciated! Can't wait to stop back in the next time we're in the area! Oh, and the desserts next door are scrumptious! Cheers!

This place has a beautiful beach themed ambience from their decorative beach pillows to their whimsical jelly fish like lamps. Their service is on point. Joe was a great waiter and had great recommendations. The manager on duty took the time to come and check on our table during our meal. Their food was tasty and worth it. You can't go wrong with any choice of your meal. I would go back over and over and try different things in the menu. Their dessert was phenomenal.

This was one of THE best dinners I've had in a long time. The restaurant is beautiful, the ambiance is unique and elegant, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is amazing! Our server was Henry and he was impeccable. Very knowledgeable and made our experience all the more fabulous. The hosts, other servers, and floor managers were also friendly and helpful throughout the night. Our drinks and plates of food were picture worthy, and tasted even better! Perfect for family, business, or a date night. I cannot wait to go back.

Could be my new favorite fine dining restaurant on the Grand Strand. First, the atmosphere is lovely. Our server could not have been nicer. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and eager to make your experience the best it could be. The food was delicious. The she crab soup was a great start. The smoked shrimp and grits was different than any I've had and really good. My wife had the braised short ribs and declared it the best she's ever had. The wine list and drink menu was special as well. It's not cheap, just amazing.

We are seafood lovers and had to go to a really nice seafood restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The service was really good from start to finish. We were seated in the wine room for more privacy and our server was on top of everything. We never had to wait for too long for food and drinks. We started with fish bites, she crab soup, and candied bacon. The bacon came out hot and fresh. It tasted great. Big hit with our kids. The fish bites were plentiful but lacked a bit of flavor. Thank goodness it came with a sauce. The she crab soup was not what we expected. We thought there would actually lumps of crab in the soup. We also ordered the shrimp and grits, short ribs, cioppino, and the catch of the day: red snapper for the main course. I'd have to say the red snapper was the best dish at the table. It was so fresh and well seasoned. Unfortunately, everything else was lackluster. The shrimp and grits were runny, the short ribs were just okay, and my cioppino tasted like they used canned tomato sauce. I was a bit disappointed. However, they made it up by giving us a birthday cake that was pretty good. We also had the skillet cookie, which was okay.

I have now enjoyed this restaurants food and service twice. Both time amazing. The interior is open, clean and inviting. The service both time has been outstanding with knowledge of the menu and recommendations. Both times I have tried the special or seasonal dish. From the NY strip cooked perfect to my requested temperature paired with scallops to the lobster served over perfectly seasoned rosemary fries. There is a good selection of local and domestic beers and this past venture was spent enjoying the amazing cocktails.

Five stars across the board. I want to quit my job and move to Myrtle beach so I can go to this restaurant every week. Our server, Daiquan(I’m sorry if I messed up your name I had a couple drinks) was SO knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. Super friendly and attentive service all around, and a wonderful atmosphere. My hats off to the chefs as well, we were highly impressed with EVERYTHING we ate. From the pimento cheese, she crab soup, to the entrees and drinks, everything on the menu is so balanced and thought out. The only bittersweet moment of our night was that we were too full to try dessert. To the staff of Hook and Barrel, thank you for making our vacation dinner truly magical. <3

We were just looking for a nice seafood dinner while we were in town and we were blown away! We got the Spicy Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita & Fish House Punch cocktails, the Oysters Ala Heidi for an app, the Swordfish Special and Citrus Ahi Tuna for our mains, and the Chocolate Mousse Cake for Two. (Not all of the dish names are 100% accurate, but close enough!) Everything was perfect. Both fish dishes were melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the blueberry vinaigrette included with the special and citrus dressing on the tuna added such an amazing flavor to each. Plus, our waiter, Cole, was awesome! It was definitely our favorite dining experience while we were in town. If you have the chance you should definitely go but I highly recommend a reservation! We had one for 8:45pm and there was still a crowd waiting.

Absolutely the best restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area. I highly recommend reservations, otherwise it may be difficult to get in unless you only have one or two people. I said the barn had wonderful service. The fish special is fabulous every single night. The second night I was there and I had the cioppino and the shrimp were overcooked, and the rest of the seafood and it was fairly good. They're missing pasta to go with it at the bottom of the bowl.

Really outstanding experience. 5 star service- from hosts to wait staff to management checking in. Sat on the porch which was lovely- cool heaters. Appreciate that all staff wore facemasks even outside. The food was amazing! super cute starter of pimento cheese on SC-shaped board, beet salad- shrimp and grits were great. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, solid service, plating is beautiful. Kim made us feel very welcomed and was attentive without being over bearing. I tried the short run as I’m not a huge seafood person, it was solid. Added the Mac abs that was incredible. Also try the Carolina Lemonade, it’s quite good! The other guest enjoyed their dishes a great deal as well, chicken and blacken salmon were both hits. However if you are celebrating something, come here the adorable cake they offered for my parents Anniversary was fantastic

Hibiscus martini-GREAT! (I had two!) My husband & I shared the mussels-very good/fresh BUT don't share the order-there are only enough mussels for 1 person. I had the scallops-very good. Fresh & perfectly cooked. My husband had the blackened salmon-he devoured it. We sat on the porch-it was a beautiful night. Service was excellent. Oh, they also bring out some kind of complimentary crisps? with pimento cheese...very good. Highly recommend if in Myrtle Beach.

Tried H&B after recommendations from friends. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC time. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. The service was phenomenal (thank you Carly). The food was delicious and we appreciate the different tastes from the chef. Make sure to order the chocolate chip cookie skillet for dessert! We definitely recommend H&B for a high quality dining experience. Loved it.

I highly recommend H&B. Whenever my wife and I come to Myrtle Beach again, we will definitely be coming back. Our server, Jack, did a fantastic job and everyone there working had a great attitude. We had peel n eat shrimp for an appetizer which is one of my personal favorites. My wife had the crab cakes for her main course and I had the citrus rub mahi mahi. We finished with triple chocolate mousse cake for dessert and they also gave us a complimentary celebration cake for our anniversary! Everything we had was top notch. If you’re in the area and believe you get what you pay for then you can’t miss out on Hook and Barrel.

Had dinner last night, Saturday early Feb 2024, at Hook and Barrel with my hubby. Didn’t have a reservation when we arrived around 5:45/6 but was able to be seated in the Bakery portion of the building. There was no seating available in the main dining room but we didn’t care all that much as rhetorical service and menu was the same. Our server, TG, was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had the braised short ribs entree with a crab cake and rice add on. Fabulous…very tasty especially the greens 😘. Hubby had the sea bass (??) and thoroughly enjoyed his as well. The pimento cheese board was a nice starter while we waited for our order. Took an order of rhetorical pumpkin cheesecake to go and ended up eating in the car instead of waiting til we good home. Will definitely visit again…service, menu and drinks were all stellar!

They offer a wide selection of bourbons, whiskeys, wines, and cocktails, and they even had our favorite wine, Grüner Veltliner. The place looks good, and our server was very helpful and friendly. We shared fish bites and shrimp as appetizers. For our main courses, we had pork chops, braised short ribs, and pecan-crusted Carolina trout. My family enjoyed the meat dishes, but I really loved the trout. The bourbon-flavored bacon we took home was delicious, too.

First time here and it did not disappoint. An employee at Fleet Feet recommended this restaurant. We were passing through area and didn’t have reservations, so we took seats at bar and we had fabulous service! Frankie, as well as other bar staff were always on top of things. We arrived during happy hour and had the BLT slider and Fish Bites for appetizers which were both great. We were also given complimentary house crackers and pimento cheese spread, also great. Our main entrees were the Pan-seared scallops and the Braised Short Ribs. Both were delicious! Awesome atmosphere inside. I especially loved the music playing! We will visit again when in the area. Bathrooms were very clean also.

Fire and Smoke is a gastropub in Myrtle Beach that offers upscale American snacks, small plates, and entrees. The restaurant draws inspiration from classic American dishes to create a lively, vibrant atmosphere.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and absolutely enjoyed everything! The service was amazing, everything spotless and clean! Our food was VERY delicious. Tuna tower had so much amazing flavor and incredibly fresh. My husband absolutely loved his burger and upgraded to truffle fries. I also got the smoked Manhattan, which had such a deep flavor. We really loved our experience here. Everything was perfect, looking forward to our next visit.

Being from NJ/ close to NYC, and the best restaurants, we’ve had “ok” food in N.Myrtle Beach - until here. Food was excellent- cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was great. Price was fair for what you get. Not inexpensive but the quality was worth it.

Food was best I've had while visiting Myrtle Beach BUT this chef doesn't have much competition because the bar is pretty low honestly. I 100% recommend this spot & will return. The steak was very flavorful, price wasn't too crazy and service was great. I also enjoyed the German Chocolate Martinis!!

Don't waste any money here. Look at all the bad reviews. And ugly management replies, they even lie in a reply- lie- we tipped 25%!!! Picture provided. What a nasty management Kelly your manager is. You guys are liars on top of being a poorly managed restaurant. Kelly the manager who has some serious issues including accusations. The appetizers were ok - and the steaks are literally just burnt and charred with no flavor, but just burnt /charred. nasty. And yes I've experienced wonderful aged steaks at some of the best in the US. This was a $120 ribeye, aged and charred to the point of no flavor. We told them it was not as expected or ordered and they basically didn't care at all that it was not good. Bad experience. Bad food..Bad management. KELLY especially, she should be fired, and who didn't even offer any resolution. Go to any other places , try Sea Blue in North Myrtle Beach. They told me on their review don't come back to their restaurant. I won't. Screw this place, Kelly and you gonna have to pay me to bribe me to come back. This was Sorry service, sorry reply, seemed prejudice, and was 120,% a lying place!

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Myrtle Beach. It's a little pricey but the food is amazing. We had the pork belly and the tuna tower appetizers. The pork belly melted in your mouth and the tuna was great mix of flavors. For entree we had elk chops (excellent) and the best short ribs we've ever had. So tender and flavorful. The waiter was very attentive. Go. You won't be disappointed.

Had a great anniversary dinner here. We were visiting the area and found the place on a google map search. Here's the deal - this may not have the newest and modern ambiance... But it has a small charm and your probably not going to get a better dish somewhere else. Food was stellar, especially the scallops. The smoked old fashioned was perfect. Will definitely look this place up again if we visit Myrtle Beach again in the future.

The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the food was very good. And this place has always been one of my favorites as a local. I had not been in awhile and we went with a party of 10. When we went to check out we were told they couldn’t split our checks bc of a new “computer system” but they could take different cards if we wanted to figure out what everyone owed. What kind of new computer system doesn’t split checks. But then our waitress said they could split but only for a certain number of people. Once we went to pay our $860 bill we noticed there was a 4% charge for using a credit card. Your are an upscale dining establishment and charging well over what costs to run a standard credit card. This is the cost of doing business. Put something on the menu if you have to do that. But honestly I’d rather you charge another dollar on the food than a ridiculous 4% fee. Then one person had a martini which they charged additional for olives, vodka, and for olive juice. I’m hesitant to even write a review because everyone that seems to say anything negative gets lambasting by the manager. Being open to constructive criticism might be a better way to handle it. And sadly none of us, all locals, I won’t be going back.

🌟✨✨ Fire & Smoke Restaurant Reviewed by the Son of a Chef✨✨🌟 Yesterday, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Fire & Smoke, and I must say, it was an overall delightful experience! Our waitress was absolutely top-notch, providing 5-star service throughout the evening. 👩‍🍳💯 To start, I had the pleasure of trying their signature Smoked Old Fashioned, and let me tell you, it was one of the best I've ever had! 🥃🔥 The smoky notes elevated the classic cocktail, leaving a lasting impression. The Caesar salad was a revelation! 🥗🔥 Grilling the romaine lettuce gave it a unique, hot twist that I had never experienced before. Topped with shaved Parmesan and their house-made dressing, it took the salad to a whole new level of deliciousness. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the ribeye. The flavor and crust were exceptional, truly one of the best ribeyes I've ever tasted. The slightly sweet reduction sauce accompanying the steak was a knockout! However, there was a small hiccup—the steak was cooked to a well-done stage, lacking the desired pink center or expected juiciness. 😔💔 Given the price point, I expected a steak with a better texture and juiciness. I believe requesting a rare steak in the future might be the way to go. It seems that the thinness of the steak and the amount of charring make it difficult to achieve a perfect medium-rare. The mac and cheese, though decent, fell a bit short of my expectations. 🧀🤔 While the cheese itself was of high quality, I felt that an à la carte mac and cheese should have something special to set it apart. Perhaps the addition of bacon or crab would have added that extra flair. LongHorn Steakhouse, for instance, offers more flavorful options. At a restaurant of Fire & Smoke's caliber and price range, I anticipated a dish that would leave me astounded, thinking it was worth the extra $100 spent. Unfortunately, it didn't quite reach that level. 😕💰 Now, let's talk about my wife's meal. She ordered the meatloaf, and hands down, it has to be the best meatloaf on earth! 🥩😍 Each bite was packed with mouthwatering flavors and made for a truly memorable dining experience. In summary, Fire & Smoke provided a wonderful ambiance and exceptional service, with some standout dishes and minor disappointments. I would definitely recommend trying their unique cocktails, savoring the grilled Caesar salad, and exploring other enticing menu options. 🍹🥗🍽️ While there were a few misses in terms of my steak and the mac and cheese, the overall experience was enjoyable, and we left with satisfied taste buds and cherished memories. 💫✨

The location feels a bit like a hole in the wall until you walk in, but this is easily one the best restaurants at the beach. Classic Southern cooking and Southern hospitality come together at Big Mike's Soul Food, where locals and tourists alike can get their hands on some of the best soul food around. The $7.95 meal includes one meat, three veggies, and a drink - all for only $8.95!
When I arrived on the block, you could see the parking lot was full of cars and people were standing all on the outside. My party of four waited an hour just to be able to get inside for a table. I was hoping the food would be worth the wait. I was thoroughly pleased with the amount of food I received for the price. The service was very hospitable as well. The taste was delicious and all of it was home cooked food. My first time here, but definitely not my last.

We can't get enough of their food!! I hope this place never changes the way they make their food so we can enjoy it next year again! We had fried fish, candied yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, mustard greens, collard greens, peach Cobbler.

Food was amazing, if you want legit soul food this is the place. They are very busy so the service was little bit slow but service was friendly, they are a little bit understaffed and we understand. The seafood platter was phenomenal, the shrimp was delicious! Fried chicken was great too! If you avoid the peak time it will be a great experience!

We are visiting from out of town so at a family members great review suggestion we decided to try Big Mike's. Got to this restaurant about 8:30pm. We knew it was 30 mins before closing so we asked if it was too late to order. We were told no so we ordered 1 Big Mike pork chop meal with mac and cheese, okra, and mash potatoes with gravy...1 Lil Mike chicken meal with rice and gravy and potato salad ..and 1 Seafood platter with okra instead of fries. (WHAT WE GOT WAS) mash potatoes and rice with PINTO BEAN JUICE instead of gravy and fries instead of okra. Now all the meats were good but who eats pinto bean juice on there potatoes? Also my husband would have liked his okra. We will try there again because we love to support black owned businesses. But word to the wise...please check your orders before leaving the restaurant! You have been warned!

We are from Texas and didn't expect the food here to taste like back home... 1st place I have been in a long time.that had a fried Bologna sandwich on the menu... between that and the fried pork chop the fish basket and rhe chicken bog... the fried Bologna sandwich was definitely my favorite... This ain't no thin slice of Bologna either... if you don't like the food here then... I don't know what to tell you... Taco Bell may still be open... This was amazing! Even tho the dining room was closed... and we had to get our food to go... didn't matter was still some of the best around!!!!

After reading reviews for a about a hour I wasn’t sure what to expect . It was clear they were slow just like about every place since Covid. They served real food, veggies meat and rice . It was black owned . Pulled up expecting to order Togo since I read it was extremely long wait to sit. To my surprise it wasn’t many people in line so I asked about seating and it was room for us with no wait . As I walked in there was a young non black in a vehicle opening his food in the parking area , as we approached the window he was there asking for salt and pepper. Red flag number one Our waitress came and took our order and proceeded to work the room . The table across from us about a family of 4 ordered all kind of fried food Mac and cheese and drinks and everything looked amazing . They covered their plates after literally one taste , paid and left . We watched as a nice young girl waited in tables using her best customer service skills . Announcing specials , smiling, and laughing with her guests . We kept our order Simple , Fried pork chops , collards , yams and pinto beans for me . My husband baked chicken , mashed , rice and gravy and green beans . The other tables got their food fast ( the good waitress) and I watched ours sit in the window about 8 minutes. Everything was ok , I asked was it pork in the beans and greens . No meat was used to season the veggies My husbands baked chicken was very light skinned and we was scared but he said it was good. He had to sent the potatoes back due to them being mad salty . The veggies were good enough , my fried pork chop was ok could have been fried Harder but worked fine . The Lima beans were straight mush but tasted decent room temp It’s real food , like home cooked . Not greAt but fresh Yams where just decent. The serving size is fair for the price. After eating tourist food a few days it was worth it

This is a budget friendly Spot. If you want to eat on a budget this is easily the best place. This place is not very vegetarian friendly because they cook their sides in chicken base so if you do no animal products this is something to note. I ordered the gumbo and the seafood basket. My wife ordered the vegetarian plate. The gumbo was not it. It tasted a bit like the campbells soup with added spice and seasoning.the seafood basket was ok but it is greasy. The shrimp and fish were good. My wife did not like the corn, mac n cheese, and the yams. The potato salad is dam good and the beigets and hush puppies are very good. My wife felt like some of the food was made and reheated. Overall the food did not meet the expectations for us. I recommend getting the hushpuppies, beignets, and select sides. The shrimp basket may be well along with the desert. I rated this soley based on food. Service is slow because they are busy. I would check. It out but have low expectations.

Food was delicious. Service was great. Would definitely go back. Was probably the best food I've had during my whole stay in Myrtle Beach. We dined in but you can also order from the outside window to take it to go or eat outside.

Best I've had in a long time. I can't recommend this place enough. We came late and didn't realize they were closing. But the manager let us order Togo and the food was so good we came back the next day to dine in. The collard green dip was delicious and served with fresh tortilla chips. We also got cheese sticks, buffalo shrimp, fried fish, shrimp and grits, and the shrimp poboy. It was all delicious and well worth the prices. Seriously, the shrimp was huge and perfectly fried. Everything was seasoned well and cooked with so much love. And you can tell they're popular because there's a line out the door by dinner time, so order ahead or get there early. Also, the croissant bignets are always worth it.

Everything was delicious and fresh, the yams didn't come from a can. Service was quick and our waitress was excellent. I fried chicken and my husband had the fish. I couldn't eat it all, can't remember the last time I was this excited about leftovers 😂. It was so nice we had to do it twice. We went back the next day. FYI, the cobbler had more in it than that, I forgot to take a picture and just started eating when it got there. Absolutely delicious 🤤

Fries are amazing! The hush puppies had a funny taste, our waitress wasn’t friendly but wasn’t rude either! Wouldn’t come for dinner but definitely a nice lunch. Gumbo was amazing! Just enough spice.

Friendly staff and clean establishment. Family atmosphere and the service makes you not complain about the wait. Wait on to go orders and to get seating. I give the place a 3 .5 bc I just eat vegetables and starches. No meat here but everyone I talked to raved about the chicken. A must visit to experience Big Mike's throwing down on the stoves. My first time visiting this soul food establishment. I will try to again. Get the YAMS people...

Here I tried my 1st fried oysters ever and they were amazing! Delicious also the croissant beignets that come with powdered sugar and honey aside! Get them. But don't get the burger, it was too dry and nothing special. The fish is really good worth it tho! The mac and cheese was a little overcooked but some people like it like that. The place is not the cleanest but it's great if you wanna try what the locals eat!

First time here. I had the Tuesday special; meatloaf. It was delicious. The fried okra and mash potatoes were also very good. My wife went with four sides: mash potatoes (good), yams (very good), corn on the cob (kind of weird tasting), and pinto beans (very good). She tried a sample of the grits and loved them. I had milk which came in a large glass. It truly hit the spot tonight. Service was super.

We heard this was the best soul food spot in Myrtle beach. We went to dine in but the wait to be seated was 30-35mins. We ended up ordering to go. Yes the wait is long,we waited about 40-50 mins for our order. However, the food was good! Its definitely soul food and it taste great. The good food made up for the long wait time.

The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic, and the prices are amazing compared to here in Virginia for soul food. We ate here twice on our vacation and now it's going to be our go-to every time we come to Myrtle Beach. Everything tasted so delicious and home cooked. One little issue when I ordered the meatloaf on our second visit, It was way too salty but it was still good overall. Big Mike's is Definitely a must try !!!!

The food was decent. It really is a hole in a wall restaurant with amazing service by the polite staff. The food was a bit greasy and it did not really impress me. They also serve all their food in styrofoam plates, plastic cups, plastic silverware so it threw me off. Overall it reminded me of the cub foods deli market with the chicken and Mac and cheese option. This place is ok if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat on the go, not really looking for flavor or anything special.

The best soul food restaurant on the Grand Strand. Excellent fried chicken, amazing sides and highly recommend the famous Horry County chicken bog. Highly reasonable and wonderful friendly staff.

Big Mike's is the kind of place that you would probably drive by if you didn't know better. Well, I am here to tell you to not make that mistake. The takeaway window shouldn't deter you from going in and adding your name to the waiting list. The menu is what you might expect, and I wish that I could have tried more dishes. However, the ones I did were excellent. The fried oysters were big, hot, and delicious. Served with 2 decent hush puppies and french fries, it was a substantial meal for the price. The cole slaw served with it was a little bland, but still good. The shrimp and grits were also tasty. I found the grits to be a little under-seasoned; but the shrimp made up for that. The candied yams and macaroni and cheese were two outstanding sides; and the fried chicken (according to our dining companion) was among the best he has ever eaten. We will definitely return for more delicious soul food.

Old style Austrian & German restaurant with a beer garden. Serving up traditional dishes like Beef Rouladen, Sauerbraten, Viennese Gulash, Veal Wiener Schnitzel and Bratwurst, Cafe Old Vienna is a great place to enjoy a relaxed evening with friends. With its dog-friendly area and occasional live music, the cafe has something for everyone to enjoy.
Always excellent Austrian food The bread is perfection, hot crispy outside soft tender inside. We're tried all the offerings... delicious! Nellie at the bar is outstanding and fast! We had the pork cordon blue and sausage sampler. It could not have been better. The dessert offerings are perfection... leave room for dessert! Live music too, it's no wonder reservations are needed.

What a wonderful dining experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. My wife is Pennsylvania Dutch, so I had an expert with me. The food was exceptional. The veal schnitzel was delicious. Get it with the brown gravy. You won't regret it. The beer selection is very nice. The pretzel appetizer was homemade, and the beer cheese was the topper. The menu was loaded with authentic German cuisine. Make a reservation because it gets crowded. Definitely recommend.

What an experience! Great, knowledge service. The server helped with food recommendations, especially for gluten-free food. They are busy so definitely make a reservation. We lucked out because we went early. There's outdoor seating. Get the mousse, you'll thank me later.

Stopped here Wed Oct 8th at 6pm. Place was very busy with many patrons having reservations. We did not have a reservation but got seated quickly. Food was excellent! Our server was extremely busy but attentive. Save room for dessert.

Incredible food and great service with a massive menu of German favorites! We were actually on our way to another restaurant when someone in the car spotted this place off to the side and we made a U-turn looking for some good German beer and food. Food was delicious and portion sizes were fairly large. Had a great time trying a bit of everyone's dish, checking out the sampler paddle for the beer, and of course indulging in the Black Forest cake. Angel was our server and took great care of us. Highly suggest checking this place out if you enjoy German food, good beer, and amazing desserts! Will certainly be going back next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

My first time having authentic German food, and I was not disappointed! I loved the ambiance, and especially the accordion player - really makes you feel like you are in Germany! We got the feast for 2 and the beer flight, which is more than enough to get a taste of all the staples of the menu. I would recommend the schnitzel, and the sourkraut. I think I would order more specific things next time, and maybe that will boost the experience up to 5 stars in my book.

This is an authentic German establishment. The food is very German. My wife loves this place mostly because of the Chicken Cordon Blue! I am big fan of the German Larger on tap and the Don Juan coffee. I am not a big fan of the food but that is because I am not big on German food. If you are, you will like the food. The place is a pretty dated for my taste, definitely not a contemporary atmosphere. The service is very good and the restaurant is well managed. When you see management on the floor you know they are putting more effort into customer service. Reservations would be easier if they would get on Open Table. Overall its a place I definitely recommend especially for adults. I give it four stars because its dated for my taste and I am not a big fan of German food. I recommend you try it and see how you like it. If you are from out of town its a unique experience not you regular national chain experience.

Never been to an authentic German place to eat. It was date night. I had the stuffed cabbage and it was delicious it had a beautiful sauce on it that was so yummy. My wife had spaetzle and she absolutely loved it. She's German and she said the place was really great. I also ordered the beer flights and tried six different types of beer four of them especially the hefeweizen was fantastic. We topped it off with a shared piece of black forest cake which was to die for. We were welcomed quickly the service was fantastic super-friendly very helpful. Just a wonderful place to eat thank you so much

Great to find another local restaurant run by the owners. Came here tonight for my birthday dinner Man. What a great place. Great decor friendly staff. All dressed with Austrian Bavarian clothing. With a live music from a gentleman playing in accordion, playing polkas music and lots of others. Great songs and also we played happy birthday for me. So we all had a little something different. I had a German sampler platter with Pork schnitzel two different type sausages and potato pancakes was red cabbage. It's very good. Sausages just melted your mouth. And the sausages looked and tasted homemade. One of our group had Oso Bucco and it was fall off the bone. One has chicken sensible and she really enjoyed that. And my wife had Jager Bratton which was wonderful. I even got the taste hers. It was great. Or dessert. We had apple strudel which came out hot with cold ice cream on top. And I was lucky that I had a candle on mine and everybody's saying happy birthday. So this place is the real German deal. When in town you need to stop by.

We stopped in here for dinner one night before heading to the Boardwalk. It was boiling hot outside, but the restaurant was very comfortable inside. Very nice decor throughout the restaurant. Friendly staff and clean. There is indoor seating and a small patio outside. I would not suggest sitting on the patio during the summer months. The food tasted amazing. Authentic to German-Austrian cuisine. The schnitzel was fried perfectly, and had lots of flavor. The gravy on top had a rich mushroom flavor. The spaetzle was freshly home made. The sweetness of the red cabbage complemented the savory noodles and meat. Would definitely return next time I’m in Myrtle Beach. Five stars!

What an unexpected gem! You must call for reservations as they fill up quickly. The food was excellent! The sauerkraut was home made with rye seeds in it which added a wonder flavor. The pork schnitzel was tender and perfectly pounded thin. The beer was paired well with the food. The Apple Strudel was the perfect dessert. It is not overly sweet so you taste all the spices and apples. The staff were very nice and attentive. If you like German food it is a must visit!

This quaint Austrian-themed restaurant in Myrtle Beach offers a cozy and genuine Austrian dining experience. Their menu features traditional favorites like schnitzel, sausages, goulash, and desserts. We tried the Veal Jager Schnitzel, Original Veal Schnitzel, and Trout Filet, all of which were delicious. Apple strudel with ice cream was so tasty. The Gruner Veltliner wine we chose was also excellent. This is a must-visit spot in Myrtle Beach.

We went here twice on our trip to South Carolina. We sat inside the first time when it was rainy and outside the second. Both times we had great service and the atmosphere was good both inside and out. I try to visit German restaurants everywhere I go and I frequent the ones near me. Prices here were decent and the portions were a good size. The meals weren't the best I've had compared to other German restaurants, but everything was hot, fresh and tasted fine. The German chocolate cake was excellent, I recommend getting a slice of one of their cakes to go if you don't have the room for it there. Overall a good stop if you like German food or for a good German beer at a great price.

Delicious, huge portions of real German food and generous drinks, with excellent service. The live accordion player added a nice touch (without being overpowering). We will go back again
