Pawleys Island

Pawleys Island is a town in South Carolina, on the barrier island of the same name. It’s known for its beaches and sand dunes. Several of the houses in the Pawleys Island Historic District date to the 18th century. North of town, Brookgreen Gardens has a zoo, sculptures and gardens with native plants. Nearby, Huntington Beach State Park is home to Atalaya, a Moorish-style mansion, plus beaches and wetlands.

Went to the short game one day and full swing the next day. All the instructors were super. They are knowledgeable and convey the information in a way I understood. Gave me drills to practice at home. Wish I would have met them 20 years ago. Played True Blue afterwards and made par on the #1 handicapped hole. Saw an immediate improvement in my scoring ability. Thanks guys!

Excellent instructions. Each golfer was addressed individually then given instruction per level of their game. I will go back every time I'm in the area. It helps to be able relax, enjoy and have fun. Thanks Steve and Scott!!!

Had my first every golf lesson this morning. My dad and I are in Myrtle Beach on vacation and we had Stuart Clark as our instructor. I could not say enough great things about Stuart and the experience he gave me and my dad. Had had hit on the range, then he brought us in to the computer to analyze our swings and how to properly approach fixing our mechanics. Overall amazing experience and Stuart was an amazing instructor. Would highly recommend.

Everything about my experience here was top notch. I got fitted for a new set of clubs (woods, irons, and wedges) by Bill Forbes. Once my clubs arrived, I did the 5 day school. I worked primarily with Roger Simpkins. Roger is a great instructor. He’s very knowledgeable and relatable. He showed me several aspects of my swing to work on. I was a decent golfer coming in, but for the first time in my life, I understood what it meant to practice with a purpose. I also worked briefly with Stuart Clark and Steve Dresser himself. They are also very effective if you listen to them and practice what they teach. They helped my short/approach game greatly. I was in a class with mostly more novice golfers who were a bit older than me. Stuart and Steve worked mostly with them, but I could tell the golfers really enjoyed it, and showed great improvement from day 1 to day 5. I’m a little late with the review, but felt it was warranted to give them the praise they deserve. Long story short, I went there in June 2018 as a 15 HCP. Almost three years later, I’m a 5 HCP. There’s no magic pill or quick fix. If you want to get better at golf: get fitted so you get the most out of your clubs, learn how to be coached, and practice, practice, practice.

I and my buddy have been coming every year since 2015 and enjoying a week of golf instruction and fittings. Phenomenal instruction and fittings with a great atmosphere.

Recently attended the Steve Dresser Golf School for two days during a golf trip to Pawleys Island with my dad. The first day was short game (chipping/putting) and the second was full swing (irons/driver). The staff (Stuart and Scott) were knowledgeable, passionate instructors who provided helpful instruction that was easy to understand. The use of video was beneficial in visualizing swing flaws and simple drills were taught to assist in improving technique. The environment was relaxed and fun. I just finished making a list of the tips I learned and am confident that future practice will be more efficient, ultimately leading to better scores. Highly recommend!

Had an iron fitting scheduled with Jim Kane. I was set on the new T series titleist but Jim quickly proved why you should allow your fitter to place the best iron/shaft in your hand that fits your game. I didn’t like the looks of the Paradym irons but found out they were by far the best irons for me. Jim went above and beyond to find the best fit for my swing. I was never rushed and he took time to fit me like he was fitting himself. I would highly recommend giving them a call and ask for Jim Kane.

Been coming here for 5 years, mostly using Mike Rugg. I’ve had a number of swing coaches, but this place has a collection of the best coaches I know - consistently drop 1-2 strokes per 9 coming here annually when I visit for vacation. They can help anyone become better golfers, very quickly. They identify your problem so fast and can explain how to improve your game/swing that works for who you are in a way you can understand.

We had such an amazing experience at Steve Dresser Golf Academy! We did the 2 day school - one morning on short game, one morning on swing. The instructors were great, and the student:instructor ratio was no more than 3. All of the instructors were superb. The school has many high tech tools and gadgets to improve your swing. They couldn’t have been nicer or more patient. I am a beginner and my boyfriend is experienced but we both came away better golfers having learned a ton. We will definitely come back next trip!

Me and my kids have been going to the Steve Dresser Golf School for over 10 years. I had the pleasure of getting a lesson from Stuart Clark on Saturday. Lately I have been duck hooking all of my shots, especially off of the box. Stuart broke my swing and issues down so that I truly understand what I am doing wrong. He showed me several drills I could do at home and provided with instructions on how to create and easy made drill tool out of rope. I have always walked away from my lessons knowing they had helped me correct my golf issues. I would recommend Steve, Stuart and the rest of the staff to anyone who wants to improve their game and lower their score. Keep up the great work. You are a true Ambassador to the the game and to the ares.

My husband and I had three private golf lessons with Jim Kane while we were vacationing at Myrtle Beach. The skills he taught us made an amazing improvement in our on-course performance, and it is a lot more fun to play too. Now, sometimes when my husband (the better golfer) makes an extraordinary shot, he says "thank you Jim Kane!"

The very first ghost story I was told as a kid was about Alice and at the ripe age of 8,at midnight, my dad brought my brother and I to her grave. Since then it has become a tradition to go see her. This time around I left with a gift: a broken pinky caused by the high wind swinging the rod iron gate on it. Thanks, Alice! Sorry I didn't have a ring to give you.

Pawleys Island Tavern is a lively and casual spot that offers pub food and live blues music in a quirky setting adorned with various knick-knacks. Located in the historic village of Pawleys Island, just south of Myrtle Beach, this self-proclaimed "arrogantly shabby" fishing village is renowned for its seafood, sourced from local creeks and inlets. The area's rich history dating back to the 1700s adds to its allure for visitors.
We love this place and return often. It’s worth the drive if you are within an hour drive. We have done takeout and dine in and it’s our favorite Pawley’s Island restaurant. The kids love all the money hanging everywhere. The food is very good!
Libby Mackechnie — Google review
First time coming here, and we were pleasantly surprised. Very unique place, food and service was good, and beer was very cold. It was a little hard to find, just look for the green mailbox with PIT on it. Our only issue was a kitchen worker cussing out the host. GD, MF, etc., right after we were seated. I would have given 5 stars but for that.
Melinda Rolfe — Google review
Affectionately known as the PIT in the Pawley’s community. This is a must if you are looking for a local place for good food, great service, and unique ambiance. Sign a dollar, and add it to the ever growing collection! You can enjoy live music out on the patio under the large beautiful oak trees on weekends.

Steve Wise — Google review
We enjoyed our lunch. It was our first dining experience at the pit that we moved here over a year ago. The host, Nathan, recommended Buffalo chicken sandwich, which was excellent!
Will Jowers — Google review
The pizza wasn’t that great but the atmosphere and the service was awesome. Last time I had a burger that was really good but you can’t order a burger after midnight, so I had to order a pizza. They have lights strung up outside & a cool band playing. They have a bar inside and a bar outside as well. With seating both inside and outside. The crowd was cool. It is confusing when you are trying to find the place for the first time but if you turn down the little dirt drive off the main road you can find parking back there as well. If you are following Google Maps that is the way they take you but once you are back there you can see a better way to access it. I recommend this place to locals and visitors. It is great to go with a group or alone. When you go make sure you take $1 bill. You can sign your name on it and staple it to the wall or ceiling. Yes, I absolutely had to. I didn’t want to be left out. They have a sharpie there you can use and a staple gun too. You just need the cash.

Food was Ok. Got Pizza it was pretty standard nothing special. Wings were descent. Hard time getting drinks no service sitting outside until later went to bar and stood there several times for a long time before finally being served. Bartender didn't have any idea what was on tap. Cool place to go into with all the dollar bills. Did have a live band that started at 8.
John West — Google review
We picked up food for carry-out. It was ready on time, and was packaged well. I got the shrimp basket with fries and coleslaw, and it was great. The shrimp was large, and not too thickly breaded. Fries were good and plentiful, and the coleslaw was great. I don't always like coleslaw- either too much mayo, too tangy, or too sweet. This was just right. I also had the Caesar salad, which was very good and big. We tried the crab dip, which wasn't our favorite- but we are used to a different style/seasoning. I would definitely get food here again.
Deborah Montgomery — Google review
I LOVE this place!! The food is very good. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly, and service was quick. They had a live band which was nice not too loud.

Although we had difficulty finding this establishment, we persevered. We found the beer and wine lists very good. The food was amazing. I had a crabcake plate and Dale's pale ale. Definitely a fun and quaint place, well worth our stop as we headed to Myrtle Beach. Signage on Hwy 17 should be improved, although I understand that has been attempted. Chive Blossom Cafe is a bustling dining spot in Pawleys Island, known for its varied menu featuring sandwiches, pasta, and seafood. The restaurant is owned by culinary professionals who blend Southern classics with Mediterranean, French, and Asian influences. Housed in a charming rustic building along the causeway, it's a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
I'm writing this as I'm finishing my meal. I'm at a loss for words. Delicious doesn't do justice to what I had. Hands down the best meal I have ever had. The service was fantastic as well. 5 stars and we can't wait to eat here again!
Frank Bondi — Google review
A complete disaster of an experience (from a repeat customer) I have been to Chive Blossom many times, but this was one of the worst meal experiences I’ve ever had. I waited at the host stand, and no one came. Finally somebody came and just stared at me. She didn’t even say “hello.” I assumed she worked there so I told her about our reservations. It was 25 minutes for a server to come. She seemed harried and did not greet us, just wanted to know if we wanted drinks. She rattled off some specials, and seemed genuinely grumpy. She didn’t ask if we had any questions on the menu, and I asked about the special daiquiri, and this is where things really went downhill quickly. It was a burnt sugar daiquiri. A traditional daiquiri has lime juice and sugar and rum, and I just asked if the burnt sugar element made it very sweet. She said she had no idea and flagged down another person who also seemed not only agitated but said “I have no idea.” She told me the daiquiri was not frozen, I told her I don’t want anything frozen, I was just wondering about the sugar element. She just said “I’m sure it’s fine. We have a good bartender.”. I ordered it and some crab nachos for the table. When she returned with my husband’s drink, she said, “after ALL THAT problem, we don’t have the burnt sugar daiquiri.” Which made me feel like I was a high maintenance Karen, when I just asked one question. So I asked her to make me a regular daiquiri, and she said they could not do that. and she said, “we don’t have frozen drinks.” And I told her again I don’t want a frozen drink, I just want rum and sugar and lime; she asked if it was simple sugar and I nodded, and then she said “we can’t make you a daiquiri. We don’t have the ingredients.” And I wondered what they were out of. Lime? Sugar? I told her I just would NOT have a drink. She then told us that they were also out of a lot of items on the menu. (it was not even 8). Another woman came with two drinks and asked if they were ours; when we said, no, she just stood there and said, “they’re NOT yours?” We again said no, and she seemed really aggravated with us but finally left. Then our server arrived with a daiquiri. Which was totally unexpected. And she said she talked to one of the “special” bartenders who understood how to make one. Then she took our order, and said “oh, and you wanted the nachos as well.“ At this point, we have been there about 45 minutes. We were hoping to have the nachos earlier, because we ordered them a long time ago. Throughout the night, the grumpy woman who tried to give us someone else’s drink, came back again with other drinks, and seemed very aggravated each time that they were not our drinks, and very confused. At one point she said, “these are really NOT yours!?” And I felt like we had done something wrong by not accepting drinks that we didn’t order. She was that accusatory about it. Then she would huff off and ask other tables if the drinks belonged to them. Since she was there, I asked if they made a traditional planters punch, and she said “absolutely not.” Finally, the nachos arrived, and the cheese was completely congealed, and they were cold. Not a little warm, not a little congealed, but actually cold. The same could be said for my grits. Completely congealed. See photos. When the server came to fill my water glass, I told her I did not want ice, and she said “well, this has ice in it.” And just walked away. She never came back to fill my water glass or bring me water with no ice. She just left. Why didn’t we call a manager? . It was in so uncomfortable that my whole family felt uncomfortable. We were made to feel as if we were doing something wrong just by asking for no ice or not accepting drinks that we didn’t order, we were not about to make ourselves more uncomfortable by asking for a manager and complaining about the cold food. We will never be back, which is such a shame, because I really loved this place over the years, especially with brunch. I will add that she did not charge me for the daiquiri, so that was one silver lining.

Very cute place, we sat on their outdoor covered patio which was a very cute little vibe. Ava and staff were friendly and the right amount of attentive. My grapefruit and bubbles was wonderful. We had the chive salad, date stuffed shrimp (highly recommend), and the daily special fish. Which had a man who doesn’t like zucchini eating it. The best part was the yummy peach cobbler.

Adorable little spot where you can dine inside or the more open area (Partially covered) next to the main building. Inside bar was tight. Creative cocktail 🍹 and good wine list. Food was great quality, had a little trouble deciding but fresh fish gets me every time! They had a fresh mahi sandwich 🥪 which was delish.
Valerie Larsen — Google review
Pros: Delicious food in a wonderful outdoor patio ambience. Crab cakes are fabulous. Cons: Slow. We were there nearly 30 minutes before we received our cocktails and an hour before we had food. For $38 my daughter's shrimp and scallops were served on a bed of cool, congealed grits. Did not feel catered to in a way that fit the price point.

Yum. Ok. Inside is a little cold and outside is beautiful under the trees. Lots of fans outside so it’s nice even on a warm day. Bring a coverup for inside or enjoy the chill. Save room for dessert!!

Always a pleasure visiting Chive Blossom. This was my 2nd visit and I will be back. The food, atmosphere and service were top notch both times. It has easily become one of my local faves! Keep up the good work team! This trip i enjoyed the Fried Oyster Salad. I held the red onions and man oh man was it full of flavor.
Golden Child — Google review
Lively atmosphere and efficient service compliment the cuisine , started with the fried green tomato napoleon, the pepper jelly sauce was great. The grouper was the star of the entrees at the table, the panko added just enough texture to elevate the dish. Snapper was the special with rice cauliflower, a little one note, but still good. Finished with one of the best brownies Ala mode. Bravo !
Mark & Karen Caulfield - The Home Team — Google review
The restaurant has been recently remodeled and looks great and feels cozy. We ordered Housemade Pimento Cheese served with crisp lavash chips for our starter ($14), and off the lunch menu we ordered Ahi Tuna Salad sandwich ($18), and Crustless Quiche ($17). All three items were excellent, and the ahi tuna had a perfect combination of artichokes, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, capers, fresh herbs, lemon olive oil. My only criticism would be to maybe serve a half sandwich for the lunch menu because it was honestly a lot of food compared to the quiche portion. I’d also recommend paying for Spotify because it’s kind of weird to hear Spotify commercials (or whatever the streaming service was) while dining. Can’t wait to come back and try out more of the menu!

Went there for my sister birthday, we had a really great time here. The food was really good and the people who came here seem really easy going and fun loving. The burger was definitely cooked medium and it was delicious. All four of the meals were exquisite. I then ordered the Peach Cobbler for dessert - generous portion and it was really good. The food was great, a wonderful atmosphere and reasonably priced. The owners were also very pleasant and friendly which is, of course, really nice and made the experience much more charming. Definitely a place I would go for a solid experience with friends and family.

We didn't have a reservation, but they had no problems accommodating us by seating us at one of the front outside tables. Angel took great care of us from there all the way through the dessert menu. My snapper special had an incredible mix of flavors. The pimento cheese was top quality. Lemon tart was light and not overpowering. Great option on the more formal side.

Our server, Steven, was GREAT! The drinks were delicious. I especially loved the Jeepy...like a creamsicle. We had the carpaccio as an app and it was so good, especially if you combine all the ingredients in one bite. We shared the goat cheese pistachio salad, and it was heaven in a bite, soooo delicious. Perfection. For our entrees, I had the eggplant treasure and my husband had the filet and shrimp. Both were phenomenal, but we agreed that the eggplant dish was out favorite. The seafood was super fresh! For dessert, my husband had the brownie with pistachio ice cream, and I had the pannacotta. Both were absolutely delicious. I'd be remiss to not mention the bread basket. Not only do you have an amazing selection of breads, but carrots and celery with delicious pimento cheese spread.

Outstanding crab nachos, bread basket with pimiento, Reuben, spicy crab jalapeño tomato soup, fried okra, Caesar salad and margaritas!!! The service was also outstanding. Steve is cool af. This is a must visit!

This restaurant was highly recommended by our hosts during our stay in Myrtle Beach. It was by far the best meal we had the entire week. Thankfully we made a reservation because they were surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and professional. My cocktail was mixed by a bartender who clearly knew their trade. We were served a basket of bread/biscuit/crackers with a cheese spread on the side while we waited for our order. We decided to split the delicious crab cakes for an appetizer. I chose salmon for my entree and it practically melted in my mouth. It was infused with a blend of well balanced Asian flavors. My husband ordered a dish combining scallops/shrimp/lobster and pasta which he raved about. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience. Keep up the great work!

We had a girls birthday lunch for my mom! First off, the restaurant was prepared and had confetti on the table and great atmosphere! That was sweet! We did have a great time together, but service was really rough & slow!! It took a long time for them to get our order, they didn’t come often to refill drinks, then when the food came, which everyone got basic salads and soups, nothing complicated, 2 of us didn’t get our food and the we waited and waited and then finally flagged someone down to ask where the last 2 plates were! Had a waiter checked on us at all after bringing food they would have known we hadn’t even gotten our plates! It was $20 for them to cut a cake which they lit the candle back in the kitchen and the waiter didn’t check with me or I would have said hey this is a unique candle you need to light it at the table, but when they brought it out it had already “bloomed” and one candle was left for my mom to blow out. Lastly, they didn’t offer to bring the cake back out or let me know if any was leftover and they also kept the extra birthday plates and big box of matches I had brought. The service took so long one lady had to leave, so she gave me $40 cash for her meal. I put that $40 in with my card. When they brought the bill back out to me, the waiter had taken the $40 out for themselves as their tip and had not deducted it from the bill. I have never had this happen before! I still left an extra tip, but that was ridiculous and rude! My mom said the waiter did the same thing last time she was here, so this is a problem. We really did have a great time together but it could have been a lot better with better waitstaff attention! All of us felt very overlooked on a Saturday!!

In the area for a few weeks and a friend recommended the Bistro. Had the special which was Halibut and the pork schnitzel. Along with a great cocktail, food and service were spot on. Perfect ending to our stay in the area just wish we’d checked it out sooner. Highly recommend

Located in Pawleys Island, the Rustic Table is a spacious and contemporary restaurant that offers classic Southern comfort meals and cocktails. It provides a family-friendly atmosphere with fresh and local ingredients. The restaurant's location at the Island Shops makes it convenient for both dining and shopping, with a nearby lake where kids can feed the ducks.
Lisa was WONDERFUL! Such a kind and knowledgeable server, on top of being so welcoming to us from out of state. Hands down one of our top 5 restaurant experiences & we’re trying to figure out squeezing in one more meal before we hit the road. The sweet tea collard greens are insane. “The Comfy” was a dream. The pawleys island sandwich was fantastic. But the top two items I would recommend would be the calamari (best we have ever had, definitely not frozen) and the peach cobbler. 10/10 would recommend & ask for Lisa, she’ll get you all set!

We had a great time. Our waiter was very good. The sheepshead on grits was a treat, the banana bread pudding DECADENT. My favorites though.. the She Crab Soup with a splash of sherry. #Boomtime and.. a Hendrix Luna with Violette Gimlet.. What?!? Best drink.. EVER!

One of my favorite restaurants in Pawleys Island. From shrimp & grits, gigantic smash burger, to wonderful salads— Rustic Table never disappoints!. Their “Proud Mary” just won “Best Bloody Mary” in the popular Murrells’s Inlet Marsh Walk contest. Rustic Table offers Saturday & Sunday Brunch. I love the outside seating - even if it is raining, their covered tent enclosure is a cozy atmosphere for dining. Rustic Table describes itself as a Comfort Food Restaurant. I would describe it as an Upscale Comfort Food Restaurant where casual attire and dressy beach attire are always welcomed.

Excellent service and food. I believe our servers name was Ariel. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered the brisket nachos as an appetizer before we knew they bring you a hot loaf of bread to eat at no charge. The nachos were great, and huge serving. However we wouldn't of ordered them if we knew we would get bread. We were pretty much full before we got our main meal. I ordered The Comfort which is fried chicken on top of a biscuit with gravy and fries. It was awesome! Great atmosphere. Its a little on the expensive side but worth it. Very clean! Unfortunately this is probably our last trip to the area, but if we do end up coming again we will stop here!!

What a truly fantastic place! I just had the absolute BEST pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful and fresh. Our server was great, as well. I highly recommend a stop if you're in the area.

It's always a good experience here. Today, we had a grouper sandwich and a grouper special entree. For dessert, we ordered the Pawleys Island pie for PI day! Overall, it was a great experience and the food was good. My greens were delicious. 😋 The pie was on point 🍰too.

We are new to Pawleys and the Rustic Table came highly recommended. The food and fish were fresh and very tasty. The kids burgers here are amazing, coming with fruit and fries it was more than enough probably even for an adult. We took home a lot of food, next time we will likely just split the kids meal. My wife ordered the special of the day and it had good flavor, only thing was the scales of the fish really got mixed into her grits they came with and kind of ruined the experience for her. The gravy biscuit and fried chicken were great! Nice seasoning, not overwhelming peppery as most places seem to get. Over all our dinner was great! Prices were good on everything, the special being a special was priced as a special hah, too bad it was full of scales. We'll be back here again though!

We passed thru Pawley's Island and decided to stop by Rustic Table for their brunch/lunch food and it didn't disappoint us! The place is so cozy and all the staffs were welcoming and friendly. The food were amazing. My husband had country fried steak with scrambled eggs, gravy and potatoes. They were so good. I had Adams omelet and it cooked to perfection with generous amount of shrimp in it. My kids enjoyed their kids meal that came with fries and fresh fruits. Also, there is a store before the restaurant so you can window shopping or go shop (I did) at that cute little store. You have to go and check out this gem! So so good!

We had lunch here yesterday for the first time. We were shocked at how packed it was at 1 PM on a Friday afternoon. Our server, who was very attentive and personable, recommended both the shrimp and grits and the smash burger so we gave them a try. Both meals were great. The burger was huge and cooked well- not overdone. My biggest complaint would be the fries were cooked with the fried shrimp and flounder (beware if you have an allergy) so they had that slightly fishy taste to them. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits and said they were some of the best grits he has had down here but would have wanted an additional side or soup if dinner for a more filling meal. We will definitely be back!

Our waitress Dory was absolutely amazing! She was very polite and had great suggestions as it was our first time. Every thing we ordered was amazing! The preparation, taste, portion sizes were all great. I got a chicken salad sandwich, son smash burger, wife blackened Mahi salad, daughter shrimp salad. Highly recommend this place. Wish we had had room for desert but we don’t leave until tomorrow.

We decided to order two different sandwiches and share them so we could try them. We had the smashburger with fries and coleslaw and the Surside Sandwich; fried green tomato, ham, bacon, & pimento cheese on texas toast with sides of potato salad and broccoli salad. Everything was delicious!

Great meal with the family. Food portions are large. Plenty of leftovers. We had the meatloaf, braised short ribs, shrimp Creole, and smash burger. Laura was our server and was fantastic. Reservations are recommended.

I do not compliment or gush about food. The BEST burger I have ever had. We ate at bar and the bartender was awesome. She was busy but had a knack for making every customer feel like they were her only patron.

My husband and I are in town for a friend’s wedding. This establishment was recommended by our hotel. We ordered our food to go. After arriving back at our hotel and opening the container this is what we paid $34 for. I am highly disappointed. I recommend going some place else for quality and quantity.

Beautiful outdoor seating, impeccable service and tasty menu. Specials are always fresh with many locally sourced ingredients and local flavors. Make a reservation well in advance especially for outdoor seating. Many bar areas located inside and out. Inside dining is cozy. If you're a steak lover, try the NY strip special. If vegetarian, the vegetable plate is always full of seasonal selections. Expect to spend $$ but so worth it!

We went with friends for dinner. We could only get a table inside. The experience was still excellent. I really enjoyed my entree however my husband got the duck and he said it was too fatty and did not enjoy it. The portions are huge. The apps were good. They have a large wine list, only a couple of craft beers. They did have a cocktail menu. We ended up having beer and our friends had wine. We were surprised the prices were very reasonable and the waiter was attentive.

Great ambiance and service. We had a large birthday table and very accommodating. Great outdoor seating. The food was very good- best I’ve ever had, no. I think some of the better dishes were the pizza I tried, the GOOP and the caramel cake. I don’t think I would get bowl of soul again- just didn’t hit the flavor profiles I was expecting and chicken was more a softer fried tender than a piece of southern fried chicken. I also would pass on the Brussels salad- just didn’t do it for me (needed to be dressed a bit more) and I also would have preferred the prosciutto to not be a large chunk on the salad.

Franks was lovely this evening(it was my first time) our server was Sarah and she was amazing, also thank you to the hosts for getting me and my grandmother seated as I made a mistake with the reservation. And thank you to Sarah for making the evening special with the birthday sparkler. I will definitely be back!

We visit Franks every year we go to area as it is one of our favorite spots. Love the atmosphere and staff always great. Shout out to Bob behind the outside bar he was a machine !!!! Didn't love our meals as much in the past. Don't take that as negative as you have to visit if you havent been before. Call for reservations as couldn't believe how packed this place was on a Tues. Couldn't get a spot until 8pm. Tried the short rib but reminded me more of beef stew and not crazy about onion crisps on top. Salmon dish though was good. Check it out !!

I've been to Frank's before, however, this night my husband and I dined inside. Which is quite outdated. For fine dining I was surprised at the "rodeo wooden chairs" and old fashioned decor. Our server this night was Sherry. She was nice. We ordered half oysters on ice and fried okra for our appetizers. The oysters were fresh and the okra was fried to perfection without the slimy texture. For our entrees we had braised short ribs and lobster ravioli with a wedge salad. Good portion size, but entree lacked in favor. My pasta was slightly uncooked and the short ribs lacked in favor. I would recommend their outdoor dining, especially for the 35+ crowd.

I've been here many times, 1st time in the outback. Wanted to try their wood fired pizza, did not disappoint. Lauren was an excellent server.

Pretty good spot if you’re looking for some good seafood and food in general. The fish bites are nicely fried fresh fish served with an excellent dipping sauce. I also really liked their ribs. The salad itself was very OK and looked like something you would get in a cafeteria.

This was my first time at this establishment. I will tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. There was more than the eye could take in, the food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff were on point and very attentive. It was a wonderful evening and it made my birthday celebration even better. Thank you all for a wonderful time.

First time there tonight and it won't be the last. A great atmosphere and vibe. The back bar, couches and fireplace was very comfortable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The menu was extensive and creative. The food was delicious. Well done.

Couldn't be happier with the service, food, and atmosphere. We asked to sit at the fireplace, and the hostess quickly checked to see if it was available, and soon we were seated at the beautiful roaring fireplace. The food is always delicious at Frank's and the atmosphere is pristine.

The food was amazing, I got the 8oz filet of beef and it was so tender and the sauce was amazing. I wasn’t really sure the difference between the restaurants and wish I had chosen the original Franks, the outback was not romantic at all. They have metal tables pushed together with paper table clothes. They could do better.

Frank's is mildly upscale, but with a relaxed ambience that goes perfectly with the overall feel of the Pawleys Island community. Drinks are quite well made. The varied menu offers a number of really good alternatives, depending on your mood and preferences. The filet, which came medium rare and perfectly cooked, was tender and flavorful. The lamb chops were equally well presented and perfectly done. The beef short rib was tasty and satisfying, and the jumbo lump crab cake was the best I've had this far from Maryland. A coastal fried oyster appetizer was appreciated by everyone. A large slice of 14-layer caramel cake with caramel drizzle and vanilla ice cream topped off our meal perfectly.

I had the BEST birthday dinner at Frank's Outback on Thursday, 4/18. The Pan Seared Local Flounder special was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing per usual. And the service was top notch made extra special by our server Mike who went above and beyond. I could not and cannot say more. Thank you to the Frank's team for such a wonderful Birthday! See you soon! Cheers!
