Sights & Landmarks
Picturesque red-and-white lighthouse dating to 1896, open for visits during summer months.
It’s a nice drive to get there and a peaceful scenic walk up to and around the lighthouse with great views of the river, ocean and wildlife and a different perspective of Bandon.
Caleb Murphy — Google review
Coquille River light is a small historic lighthouse that traditionally guided ships in the night. It’s not the huge, towering lighthouse like Yaquina Bay or Heceta Head, buts it’s interesting nonetheless. The park and beach access makes a good stop to stretch your legs from a long drive.
Kevin — Google review
I'm visiting from Illinois and this was a nice little drive after being down on the beach earlier in Bandon. The lighthouse has an interesting story, and the view from this side of the river was really nice. It was windy, but at least the sun was out while I was there. The lighthouse does do a tour, but I'm here during the off season so no tours yet. I'm sure if you are interested you can look up the website and it will give more information. Be aware, if the tide is in and if there is any type of storm, don't go climbing around this area, it can be dangerous. There are signs posted to also stay off the jetty. PS: if you are a geocacher there are some in and around Bandon.
Rhonda Birk — Google review
Beautiful scenic view. It was windy and cold. And we walked all the way to the broken Jetty.
Prosenjit Sinha — Google review
Cute old Lighthouse. Beautiful beach area. We were traveling the coast on vacation and came here on Friday afternoon. They were closed when we got there around 2:30 which was frustrating. But, cute little place. Great ice cream close by in town at Face Rock Creamery.
Jill Hunt — Google review
It was a gorgeous morning, and the sound of the ocean was just relaxing. Was an hour early before the lighthouse itself was actually open for entry.
freddy mendoza — Google review
Beautiful spot! Easy path to the beach. Light house is cool, you can walk right up to it. 10/10 we will go here again.
Anny Ehm — Google review
Wonderful stop to make when in the area! We had a fun time wandering around and taking in the sights.
Melissa Churchill — Google review
My partner and I visited in the summer of 2021 and visiting the lighthouse was an amazing experience. So much enriching history. The doors are padlocked and you can’t physically enter the lighthouse but you can climb the steps to the entrance. It was windy and blowing lots of sand but nonetheless beautiful
itsbobbyopp — Google review
Super cute little light in Bandon, a little bit of a dive through a park but it's right next to a pretty big beach!
Danielle Williams — Google review
Beautiful place to walk. Driftwood is fun. Watch out for waves!
Karina Kay — Google review
Fun , no longer in service, lighthouse to visit. Easy to get to, free, and in the beautiful setting of the Oregon coast. It was crazy windy but didn’t spoil our experience. A must see in Bandon.
Todd I — Google review
I'm such a big fan of lighthouses. This is a nice little drive from hwy101 north of Bandon. This is one of the easiest access to a lighthouse I've come across on the coast. You drive right up to the parking area and just a very short walk you're there. Beautiful surroundings with wonderful views. If you're visiting the town of Bandon, this is one of the must do items.
Davin — Google review
It's a fair little drive off the main road to get here and phone reception is not the best. The lighthouse itself is okay but it's accessessable down to the beach (maybe not for elderly or disabled though as far as I can tell) and you can walk down the pier. You can really feel the power of the ocean here and it's a great view
Jimmy H — Google review
The lighthouse was very cute. There is a small visitor's center inside. You cannot climb up the tower but you can look up it through a gate. I know you can't control the weather but it is in a very windy location so if you try to walk out towards the beach, prepare for a lot of sand in your face. We were covered when we left. It is still beautiful but just plan accordingly.
Charlene Faulk — Google review
Really wanted to get some good Drone pics but it was way to windy I'll get some better pics next time but this is a fun spot to stop care full at the end of the jetty it is very slippery, definitely read the history I find that stuff cool, I almost didn't visit this one cuz it's so far south, but it has interesting historical relevance. The beach is nice, It seems to have a decent amount of drift wood heavy logs, and debris might have been the time of year. I'll dbl check when I drive the coast this summer. Some rolling style dunes so good hike to run a puppy on
Steve Bengtson — Google review
It was too dangerous to get across all the logs and driftwood to try to walk on the beach.

Small waterfront park with picnic tables, beach access & views of landmark sea stacks.
Beautiful beach that is quite long for a walk or run. Almost all the sand is smooth wet sand so it is hard and you can wear shoes. The rock formations are very cool. It is best to go at low tide and see all the tide pools and creatures around the bottom of the rocks. One of the most beautiful beaches I have been on.
Kevin M — Google review
Face rock is the most bizarre and incredible rock formation I’ve seen on the Oregon coast. This viewpoint is sweeping and breathtaking. There are pit toilet bathrooms which are accessible. The parking is small and can fill up. There’s a trail down the bluff to the beach below. It’s steep but not unmanageable. One down on the sand, you can walk in both directions right along the rock formations. Sometimes the wind can make the blowing sand miserable. Still, this is a must see place on the Oregon coast.
Laurel Hoffman — Google review
A favorite spot on the coast to watch the waves crash against the sea stacks. Hope you can find "face rock". She's looking up and pointed to the right. It's also fun to watch the sand art from above if you happen upon that particular weekend.
Melissa Jones — Google review
Beautiful and easily accessible spot for viewing all the named sea stacks and beach below. There's a staircase that goes down to the beach itself. It was extremely windy the day we were there, so there was sand basically sandblasting everyone even up on the cliff above the beach. The wind was actually a little better down on the beach and there was less sand pelting us down there. Nice spot though.
Jennifer Anne — Google review
A fantastic little spot! The views were incredible, the beach access was easy to navigate and it was very clean. We especially loved seeing the rainbow colored rocks and will research more on the geology.
Heather Williams — Google review
Beautiful spot to stop in with the family and your pup! Ample parking and great views! There is a long staircase down to the beach, so unfortunately it’s not great for accessibility.
Jennifer Biggerstaff — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Bring sunglasses or regular glasses, eye protection of some sort and wrap up your hair in a hoodie or something. There is a lot of sand that blows about as it is very windy and without eye protection it can be difficult to enjoy the beautiful views from the beach. Sunglasses definitely made it more enjoyable. Our daughter has longer hair and a ponytail was not enough, she had to wrap her hair in her hood so that she could see. We had a kite with us and it was so fun. The plastic kites will shred here. We had a nice, durable fabric kite to play in the wind with and it was a very nice time. This is a beautiful place. A must see.
Shelley Prince — Google review
Beautiful windy place. Great spot to view whales. Very small parking lot. Lots of little caves and tunnels to explore. a short flight of steps and your on the beach.

What a beautiful day it was in Bandon Oregon! Face Rock is an amazing place to go and see if you have never been here before. Especially on a sunny day.
Clift — Google review
Honestly my favorite Oregon coast! So many amazing views/rocks/rock formations/sea caves. You can walk the whole beach on the coast line. They even have a trail above it so you can see it up high. You can walk to other scenic points too! I got to see lots of different kinds of birds and best of all, sea lions!! The color on the rocks and the different types are amazing too! I can’t believe I’ve never heard or been here before
Josh Pease — Google review
Great spot to explore with kids or dogs! You can admire the view from above, or take the steps down the the beach. When the tide is low, you can get to a lot more. It was super windy, but sunny and fun to explore the caves and dunes.
Scott Tencza — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous location that is a must to stop by and check out, you won't regret it. The face rock is really something else when you see it in person.
Cayla vest — Google review
This was a fantastic stop. A little off the main road but absolutely worth it. Go down the stairs and explore. With any luck, the tide will be right and there will be an awesome labyrinth drawn in the sand. Also check out the caves!
Bradley van Middelkoop — Google review
Nice vacation stop for exploring beach sea life. Worth visiting at least once. Pay attention to holes in caves, there’s crabs and stuff :)
Vladimir Yasmenko — Google review
This beach is one we hit daily when we visit Bandon. The rocks are interesting, there are tons of shells, agates, sea glass, and interesting collectibles to be had. During low tide there are really good tidepools, and ocean animals like seals, murres, crabs, and gaper clams. The access area at the top has restrooms and parking, with a nice set of stairs down the cliff.
Rebecca Freeman — Google review
The special thing about this beach is that during the summer if low tide is between 6:00 and 10:00 AM a local group of artists create a huge, extremely creative labyrinth. Takes at least 40 minutes to walk. Different every time. Popular, so they have a shuttle from a nearby park, use it! Of course the beach and rocks are the usual stunningly beautiful.

Amazing hotel! Super friendly staff! Very clean and spacious room! Was a great stay!
Lexie Baker — Google review
Great location, friendly office staff, the room was well done, spacious, VERY clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable- firm with a soft, cushiony top. The overall set up and decor were simple, clean and inviting without being over the top. The room was towards the back, so it was fairly quiet. They also provided a fan in the room (huge bonus for someone that sleeps with a fan and most rooms don't have one)! The only downside was there is only stairs to access the second floor, but it looks to be an older motel so that's to be expected. We really did enjoy this room and it felt safe in this area as well. Would definitely recommend.
Amanda Stevens — Google review
This is an awesome little place to spend the night. The location is incredible you are a 30sec walk to all the amazing little shops downtown. The price was very reasonable especially when considering the other places were 4x the price when we stayed. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We stayed in the double queen and everything was fairly modern and couldn't hear any noise from either the other suites or the 101 outside. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the water pressure was more than enough to get the grime from camping off! The service was awesome and we were warned to book dinner plans well in advance because the town shuts down pretty much at 8 and everything fills up fast which was very good advice. Overall an awesome experience and we will definitely be back!

Great little motel!! B We made a late evening decision to drive over to bandon. Randomly picked out inn at old Town and made the reservation. We were coming in late, so called the office to confirm our late arrival...11pm. The manager/owner kept the office open, and was very happy and cheerful! Room was everything we needed, clean and comfy bed, warm shower, fridge and microwave. Even the housekeeper was very happy and cheerful! We will certainly stay here next beach trip!!

Cute/clean/cozy/conveniently located room! Newly renovated, walking distance from the lil town, restaurants etc. Thank you!
Kathy Stahl — Google review
We were traveling on Christmas weekend and ended up here, did not have a reservation but they did have a room available at a fair price. Was a little nervous when we first looked at it because of the missing siding on the building. Later ,in the daylight, we realized they were doing renovations. My jaw dropped when we opened the room and turned on the light. The room was magnificent. Never have I expected so little and received so much in the way of rooms. We enjoyed strolling downtown with all the Christmas lights. We will definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel right next to/ across the street from Old Town! The rate was very affordable, the people were so kind and helpful, my room was so nice and clean and well thought out, and everything was walking distance. Thank you for a lovely stay in Bandon! Grateful for the experience!
Samantha Childs — Google review
We spent this past weekend at the Inn at Old Town. When reserving the room, we asked for a room on the second floor and to the back away from the street. That’s exactly what we got and it was newly renovated. We felt like we were the first to use it. Ruby is a wonderful hostess and made some great recommendations for places to eat i.e. The Rolling Pin Restaurant for breakfast. We would stay there again.
David Wood — Google review
The room looked like it was newly remodeled. It was decorated so nicely and had a beachy vibe. Everything was fresh, Bright and very clean! We felt that it was reasonably priced. We will definitely come back here the next time we come to Brandon!
Gayla Fuhriman — Google review
Nice hotel, nothing special but it had a clean and quiet room. It is a bit run down, could use some remodeling, but I would definitely stay here again. The property owners were very gracious and kind.
Donna M — Google review
We were delighted with our stay at the Inn at old Town. The room was newly renovated, very clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our room, at the back of the building, was very quiet. The hotel is very well located, with the port and restaurants within walking distance. Ruby, our charming hostess, made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. A very good address!

They have fish n chips and chowder, both salmon and clam. They also have other seafood things for eating on site like shrimp, clams, you get the point. I like that they have multiple choices for fish n chips. I decided to go with cod fish n chips and a salmon chowder. It was a little on the pricey side, but the serving is generous. They do not skimp on fish like some other places do, so the price actually is worth it. There isn’t much room to sit down inside, quite a bit outside. But not the best if weather is bad unless you like an adventure. Luckily it was nice when I visited. Anyhoo. The food is excellent. I have had better fries but overall very good. I would definitely go back.

I ordered the halibut fish and chips with a small side of the chowder. Perhaps the best, freshest fish and chips I’ve ever had. Seriously good. Hot, crisp, not greasy. They also have malt vinegar which I LOVE. They also had great craft beer and soda. I can’t imagine a bad review. You know it’s good when it’s full of locals.

Very friendly service. We went at 3:00 P.M. and there was a line out the door. We both ordered Fish and Chips. Normally your side choice is garlic bread toasted or coleslaw, they were out of bread. The portion size was plentiful as neither of us could finish our meal. Dining is available indoors or outdoors, although seating space is limited. The fries were good and the Cod fish was average. The tarter sauce left a lot to be desired. You order at the counter. Meal is delivered to you in a box with plastic flatware. Rather awkward eating out of a box. Price was $31.90 for the two fish and chips. I'll try somewhere else next time.

We went to the fish market on New Year's Day. They were very busy and it was a beautiful sunny day. We ordered the halibut fish and chips and the portions were huge. We wished we had ordered one and split it. We loved the batter on the fish and the chips were very good. Of course there were cranberries in the coleslaw which we loved. It took a while for the food to get done but they're cooking it to order and like I said they're very busy. They worked really hard to get people's attention to come and get their food even if you were sitting outside while you were waiting. This is a really fun place to be and we will go back when we go through this town again.

In my humble opinion, the best fish and chips on the Oregon Coast. Period. Crab and shrimp salad. Generous and good. Hot, big white tender fish from our Oregon coast-- done right. We both ordered Rockfish fish and chips – I skipped the garlic bread, my partner was able to get toast with plain butter. The chowder was very delicious, full of clams (and not jut potatoes). The fish and chips we clean tasting, seasoned with salt and pepper, no scary garlic or MSG. The order desk person was efficient, patient and polite. They ran out of the smoked salmon clam chowder so I will be seeking that out sometime. It doesn't sell out for no reason.

Fantastic halibut and the view is pretty good too. I stopped here for dinner on a business trip with clients. I had no idea what to expect because our office planned it, and boy was I surprised. The halibut was delicious and generously portioned. The wait staff was very pleasant and worked hard to serve our group well. This place is definitely in the ranks of fine dining. The drive to the restaurant is scenic and the view from the restaurant and parking lot is breathtaking. This is a great option for a date night or special occasion.

It began with the waitress not remembering correctly what we ordered for soup and salad. We both had the nut encrusted halibut with vegetables and rice pilaf. The halibut was dry, bland and tasteless. All you could taste was butter and Panko. The vegetables were so oily and extremely salty. It was overpowering. The rice pilaf tasted like oil. We were very disappointed with our meal! The waitress was not very engaging and seemed uninterested in being there. The hostess apologized for our disappointment, and she would pass our remarks along to the owner.

Food is overrated especially for the prices. Clam chowder was bland. Calamari was pretty good and so were the salads. The smoked salmon pasta was good but the crab pasta was dry and was not good. The French onion soup was also bland and not really worth eating. The vegetable sides were really amazing!!!

Making a reservation by phone is a must. We were warmly greeted and immediately taken to our tables while other guests without reservations were offered takeout menus. When you make your reservation, ask for tables by the window to enjoy sunset falling on Face Rock. There’s also a table for two facing the ocean where you can sit next to your dining companion - that looks like one of the best tables. Food was pricey and disappointing, with the exception of the vegetables. The vegetables were very good. Bread rolls were dry. Pasta was garlicky. The steak was prepared as requested and good. This was just an ok experience with a fine dining price.

I ordered a Seafood combo plate. It was great. My husband ordered Stuffed chicken but it wasn't that great. Chicken was dry and bland. He had to use salt to season it. When he does that, that means it's really bland. I like the place, it's elegant with a great ocean view. Service is okay. Not the friendliest people though. And overall, I will give this place a 3.
Mia Soliven — Google review
The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Food which was delicious came out quickly. I had the Seafood sampler and I loved it as I could taste a little bit of everything. The veggies especially the Broccoli and Asparagus were very flavorful! I wanted to order the Chocolate Mousse for dessert but I had no room for it 😏 The view of the ocean from our table was amazing!

This place is sub par at best, bad service, even worse food, their chowder tastes canned, I’m 98% certain their scallops are just pollack (imitation crab) and not real scallops. My kids chicken strips was a mix of chicken and fish…..It could be so much better. Makes me really miss Edgewater. If you’re looking for a place to eat I suggest to keep looking. This was convenient staying at the sunset but I would never eat her again.

The food was so fantastic!! Friendly service and amazing ocean views. I meant to take photos of food when it was first delivered, but we started devouring it too fast.

Someone recommended this place when I was looking for places for my husband's birthday. We live in Coos Bay and the two places we frequent are closed on Mondays. The actual day of my husband's birthday. I don't want to drive from CB to Bandon and feel rushed on a Monday, so we opted to go on a Saturday. The view is amazing. We didn't get a window seat, but we still had a view. I have not found a place in CB they can make a decent extra dirty martini, but Lord Bennett's can. My husband ordered an old fashion and his only complaint was the crushed ice versus the large single block of ice. The food was good and had generous portions. I had the king salmon special and my husband had the ahi tuna special. Our son had the cheeseburger and fries. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse, my husband had the pecan pie, and our son had the NY cheesecake. I couldn't finish the mousse, not because it wasn't great but because it was too rich. I'm glad someone recommended this spot as we can now add it to our favorite spots.

O. M. G!!!!!!! I would give them 10 stars of I could!!! The drinking chocolate.. REAL DRINKING Chocolate, is better than I have tasted even in Seattle! They have soooo many flavors!!! And THEY SHIP!!! We walked in at 5:28... They close at 5:30. She welcomed us in and made us this creamy decadent chocolate drink, telling us that all of the chocolate goodies are made by hand, and THEY DELIVER!!? ARE YOU KIDDING!?!? HELL YES PLEASE!! And they have the cutest little To Go cups!!! Squeeeee!!!!!!

Stopped by while visiting Bandon and they have some beautiful chocolates available. We picked up their Orange tart and and a few other goodies but the tart was probably the best. I had some of their drinking chocolate that I wouldn’t recommend, it’s not thick and creamy like I’ve had before and was more like a hot chocolate with too much powder added.

Great desserts! In particular the butterscotch mousse. I bought one to take back to the hotel after trying my husbands. We had two different shots of espresso also. Beautiful chocolates and some cute tea pots for sale.

Dropped in again, just wonderful. Excellent pastries and drinking chocolate! There is a fine selection of frozen delights at the gelato bar. Love this place. Ordered the vanilla cheesecake (see photo) and flight of sipping chocolate. Upon each returned to Coastal Mist, I always order the hot Mayan drinking chocolate: it simply satisfies. My taste-buds entertained the best of two worlds-- half Mayan and half Belgium Dark sipping chocolate topped with fresh whip cream.

The coffee is ok, not perfect But as a patisserie it is probably the best one we found driving from cannon beach. And may be better than anything we be tried in pet land.

Must visit each time we are here, excellent pastry and fine chocolate shop, with amazing looking lattes and liquid chocolate, breads, quiche, ice cream and some souvenirs. Great seating and ode to Willy Wonka, Gene Wilder

Outstanding work my friends! On the last night of my 30s I was gifted a variety of treats from you. The chocolate passion fruit cream tart is incredible. We will be new regular customers and recommend you to everyone looking for amazing treats.

The best Belgian chocolate alive at Bandon ; owner couple went to Belgium to learn real chocolate making. My favorite are all of them, especially dark chocolate bars, almond covered dark chocolate, croissants, all sweet pies...actually all of the menus , since I traveled a lot ; buy stack of chocolate on the roads!!! Love and cherish so much this small treasure chocolate heaven sanctuary in Bandon 🙏💕 Come and taste it you will want to be back to have more and more . Owners say, " Love real Belgian chocolate for life." No other life is this perfect, Amen 🙏💕

This shop has the largest drinking chocolate variety on the coast. Your brain and pocketbook will tilt when you try and decide. Nice and cool people work here. Spend all the money you were going to spend on other vices here instead. This shop will make you happy.

I'm really impressed with this romantic place and excited to come back try some more items. I love their drinking chocolate options and I got a latte with chocolate. Yum! The banana brulee croissant is also very good and unique. I also want to try their handmade gelatos when I'm back.

Alloro Wine Bar & Restaurant is a charming and relaxed establishment that offers a sophisticated dining experience with Italian cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also features an extensive wine selection, creating the perfect setting for a delightful evening out. With its cozy ambiance and elevated dishes, Alloro Wine Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Italian dining experience in a laid-back setting.
Best place in Bandon hands down! Took mom on vacation and decided on this restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Mom had shrimp scampi(28$ I think?) which was perfectly made best she's had. I got the 12 Oz ribeye(62$) and it was best food I've had in years and that's saying a lot for me. Meat was cooked perfectly to how I wanted and veggies went well with the sauce and ribeye.

Had dinner here last night and I really enjoyed this place! I love the small atmosphere. It’s cozy and the chef came out to meet us. Our meals were delicious and made with high quality ingredients, fresh vegetables and seafood. The wine list is incredible and our waitress was helpful in picking a good wine.

My wife and I are in town for one night on our way down to California from Seattle. We looked at many of the options in town and ended up here for dinner. It was a good choice, my wife had the seared scallops, I had the soup and the Caesar salad. I am gluten-free my wife is not they have many gluten-free options on the menu which is nice. Casual atmosphere when we were there seemed like locals were there, they knew each other. There was a guy playing the guitar and singing some songs it was a nice evening.

One of our favorite places to dine while visiting Bandon. Consistently great service and delicious food. Fabulous wine selection. But the BEST PART, the staff worked to make sure you had an excellent dinner experience. Kudos to them!!!

Great place for a birthday dinner or any visit to the coast. I had the Linguine with Mussels with their house-made pasta. It was delicious and well balanced. Their bread rolls were moist and a big hit with the family. My husband and kids enjoyed their meals as well. The calamari was crispy and yummy too! Oh, and the cheese cake dessert was fantastic.

Don’t believe those saying the recipes aren’t as good as auntie’s or the portions are small, it’s just not so! However, this is not a wine bar, there is a bar, yes they do serve wine, but it is not a wine bar. Don’t expect one. Just a tick under *****, just a little bossy. You get the bill with a clover QR code but they want you to pay in cash. It’s an overcharge for using a card, fee already there but no card charges that fee % they add; tip the harpist, she has no other source of income, over this amount you pay for more bread. Relax, the place is great and apparently has been multiply recognized just so. Scampi was wonderful, house made pasta perfect. Bolognese not a tomato purée with meat, it’s a couple of very high grade meats cooked properly to make actual bolognese that is top notch. Croutons - made from polenta, not your everyday and quite nice are in the Caesar. A rather expertly curated and fairly priced wine list except a premium for European wines, but you’re in Oregon for goodness sake, drink local. I also don’t think any kind of live music performer is appropriate for a tiny place like this

Intimate setting with outstanding food. All is fresh and the changes accordingly. We had the onion bisque, caesar, rabbit ragu and the halibut risotto. Great chef.

One of the best dining experiences of our PNW road trip. From start to finish, absolutely everything was perfect - service, food, atmosphere, The new pesto is AMAZING with the soft-shelled crab - one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, the scallops and risotto were cooked perfectly, the carmelized onion bisque was a great starter. Be sure to request the house-made bread and olive oil, and don't skip dessert - the apricot mascarpone cheesecake is to die for. Every person working there is delightful, and the ambiance is perfectly intimate and quiet. Fantastic everything; highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Fantastic dining experience! Alloro has a casual, upscale feel. The front area with the bar is the ideal place to reserve a table. The back room is nice but doesn’t have the same feel as the front bar area. The food was exceptional. It started with hot, fresh focaccia rolls served with a great olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. Best rolls in town! The dishes are plated beautifully. I enjoyed the pistachio pesto pasta with shrimp. Highly recommended, and you can select your preferred protein (fish of the day, salmon, or scallops). The ribeye was prepared as requested, and was fine but not exceptional. The menu is ideal for those who love fish and seafood. On our trip to Bandon we visited several restaurants, this was by far the best service experience. Thoughtful, professional and properly paced. Pro tip: You must make a reservation and be on time. Like the other restaurants in Bandon, you’ve got to call to reserve a table and the last seating is at 7:30pm.

Every year, I visit Bandon and, part of my tradition, is to have dinner at Alloro. Let me start with the non-foods. Apparently, this restaurant is still stuck in 2020, because they are still requiring masks. Seriously! For a 5-foot walk from the door to your table. Everybody else in town has realized that the era of mask mandates is over, but not here. Pathetic. -1 star People on this review site complain about the fees. The three main ones are split plate, extra rolls and corkage. Now, if you have the audacity to bring your own wine to a "wine bar," you should expect to pay a corkage fee - even one as high as $35. Also, the housemade rolls (delicious, by the way) are complimentary up to TWO per person. That is more than reasonable. To ask a mere 50 cents for the third one is not out of line at all. The $8 spilt plate fee, however, is a little ridiculous. The plating is not Michelin star level that would be hard to split onto two plates. Anyone who's ever worked in a restaurant knows how easy this is. As far as staffing, they couldn't be nicer. Our server was very friendly and responsive - making sure water is refilled and always available if needed. In the past, the chef/owner has come to the table to greet diners. This year, we never saw her. (Maybe she's so deathly afraid of Covid, she chooses to stay quarantined in the kitchen??) Anyway, onto the food. In 2018, I had the duck with a cranberry chipotle sauce. Absolutely delicious. No longer on the menu. In 2019, I had shrimp scampi. Beautiful shrimp in delicious scampi sauce with the chef's housemade pasta. No longer on the menu. In 2020, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with a beautiful Crab Cake on top. Also delicious - the Alfredo sauce, the housemade pasta and the crab cake. No longer on the menu. Last year, unfortunately, I chose the Bolognese. It was served over some sort of pasta that looked like frilly lasagna noodles, cut in half. That wasn't the worst part. The Bolognese sauce was one of the worst I've had in my life. I've had it in Bologna, so I know what it's supposed to taste like. They try to make it the traditional way, with low tomato content, but they miss the mark. The menu talks about mascarpone and ricotta, but there was none of either on my plate. Disappointing. That, sadly IS still on the menu. Since the food is usually good, this might have been a fluke. This year (2022), I wanted the seared scallops dish. Unfortunately, they were out. So, I settled on the grilled shrimp over mushroom risotto with broccolini. The risotto, although a very small portion, was absolutely delicious - well flavored and perfectly cooked. The shrimp were nice and large and very well cooked. It restored my faith in the cooking after last year's stumble. In the past, the dessert was a delicious ending to the menu - tiramisu one year, lemon tart another. This year, however, the dessert menu was extremely disappointing, to say the least, so we decided to go home and have dessert.

This was a great find for a very nice dinner in Bandon, OR. The food was so flavorful, the presentation was great! The cocktails were delicious and they didn't skimp on the alcohol by adding cheap fillers. The desert was so delicious. The service was outstanding. We came in a Friday evening and there was live music which added to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend reservations as it is a small venue and they definitely fill up quickly. They do offer outdoor seating.

Bandon Baking Co & Deli, a beloved establishment in Bandon since the 1970s and under the ownership of Chris and Kim Powell for two decades, is a must-visit. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats such as gigantic cinnamon rolls, cookies, croissants, bagels, pastries, and homemade granola until lunchtime.
Best bagel breakfast mitt ever. Bagel was not a chewy, chewy dry mess. Was wonderfully moist with substance to it. It was savory herb with a bit of artichokes in it. So yummy 😋. Lots of other great delicious choices too.

Best bakery around, everything is made fresh everyday. We try and go there every time we are in town. Get there early because they sell out fast. Pastries are to die for, bread is always yummy. Staff is always friendly. You might have to wait in line, but we’ll worth it!

The service is fast and friendly and their sandwiches are really good. My son enjoyed the Mediterranean. I love their jalapeno bagels, they are soft with just the right amount of jalapeno. There is a good amount of seating but it can get pretty crowded at busy times. Go early for their pastries!

Best bakery I’ve ever been to! We went in and ordered multiple items, everything looked so good. Every single goodie was fresh. I feel like I tasted things the way they are supposed to taste for the first time! Their cinnamon roll and danish make all the other cinnamon rolls and danishes seem like a joke. Their pastries can’t be described, they must be tasted! Don’t miss out on this experience if you’re in the area. Worth breaking diets for!
