What an experience! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide was the GM which made it even better knowing it doesn't matter who you are in the company, you are still a part of the story that makes a difference. I love that the company works with so many other places on the island to make sure everyone gets what they need and then give it back to the earth. Just a beautiful notion of being a good neighbor and business! Although I have never liked pineapple in my life, I ended up loving these and made sure to buy extra. Definitely worth the experience!

One of the best tours I've ever been on. We were so lucky to have the GM Rudy give our tour. He is so knowledgeable and personable. This will definitely be one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. We are ao happy we choose to do this tour! Oh, and the Pineapple, absolutely amazing. It's juicy and sweet and just the best!

EXCELLENT tour!! Accommodating, extremely friendly and very knowledgeable staff. I forgot the name of the lady who guided us, but she was excellent. And also... FREE PINEAPPLE!!! You get your very own pineapple at the end of the tour and a delicious tasting on the tour as well. There's also a pineapple food cart - we got a pineapple juice (served in a pineapple) and someone on my tour ordered the soft serve (ALL pineapple, no filler. Dole take notes!✔️)

Fun informative tour I learned a lot and had a great experience. Like everything on Maui it is a bit pricey but in the end worth it because they didn't try to clip us for extras like photos and the take home boxed pineapples. All of the staff were helpful and I didn't get that "intruder" vibe that is common among many of those who call themselves "locals". Bonus was learning how to grow them from the top of the pineapples they gave us and eating fresh cut fruit out in the field.

The pineapple tour was one of our favorite things we did while on Maui. Our tour guide Shilo was great! He was super informative and made the tour so much fun. If you are hesitant to book, just do it! It is 100% worth the price of the tour. 🍍

We had so much fun learning about pineapple through this collaborative and intimate pineapple experience. Our tour guide did a great job explaining everything, she was very knowledgeable and helpful and has a great sense of humor, she explained things in the way that easy to understand and easy to learn. She is patient and let us get off the bus couple times to see the different stages of the pineapple journey. We saw pineapple flower for the first time, learned about pineapple is actually a kind of berry! The Maui Gold pineapple tasted great, and smelled wonderful! Highly recommended this pineapple experience in Maui.

Definitely a must if you’re looking to get out and adventure while in Maui!! This was a last minute adventure for us and I’m so glad we did it! Our tour guide John was very outgoing, very informative and made everyone feel welcome! He was very attentive to everyone’s questions and answered them very well! The tour was a perfect amount of time. It wasn’t rushed or didn’t drag on too long. It was so interesting going out to the fields and seeing all the different stages of the pineapple growing process. They have cute merchandise for purchase in their warehouse. As well as a pineapple stand where you can buy pineapple smoothies and other pineapple drinks. Definitely recommend!

Our tour guide was the best. I never really like pineapples as the ones I've eaten until this tour were tart and very acidic. The pineapples we received after the tour were sweet and had a slight hint of coconut. Ended up taking 6 home.

My family of four truly enjoyed the Maui Pineapple Tour. Mo was a wonderfully insightful tour guide. We learned so much about the history of Maui Gold, how pineapples grow, and how to pick the best pineapples at the store. The best part was tasting the fresh pineapple in the middle of the plantation. This is a great tour for adults, teens, and kids.

Awesome tour! We enjoyed the drive, the pineapples and our tour guide (Shiloh) was great! It was cool to see the fields, equipment and the staff propagating new plants. I highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Shiloh was fabulous, informative and funny. It was a great tour that my Husband and I took on our honeymoon. I usually don't like Pineapple, but Maui Gold Pineapple is pretty good and unlike any other I have had. I loved seeing the Pineapples in their various stages. I also loved that our guide looked ahead to get the best photo spots for us!

This tour is a must, we were given so much history on Maui’s pineapple industry and the rarity of the Maui Gold. We were given super cool points on how to pick and cut your pineapple, which we’ll definitely be doing. We got to taste it, cut right from the field and were given each a pineapple to take home (hint our hotel cut it for us to enjoy). Thank you to Rudy, our tour guide, for all the knowledge and fun.

Maui pineapple has to have the most amazing pineapples you'll ever have. We got a tour from the original owner whose now a partner and this guy was AMAZING!!!!! If I had to recommend a attraction to visit while in maui, THIS ONE! The pineapples are not like any you've had on the mainland. They do not sell commercialy to the mainland, only to people who order off there site, but trust me you won't be disappointed! It's a pretty cheap tour for how long it is, the information you learn about the place, and the atmosphere! I would hand down come here again! Also don't forget to leave a Shaka, the boss man loves it!

What a fun and informative tour! We saw the workers in the fields doing their various jobs, and saw pineapple fields in various stages including fallow through having pineapples ready to pick. It had rained quite a bit for a couple of days before our visit, and surprisingly, we didn't get muddy. The samples were great, it was an overall positive experience and a real highlight of our time on Maui.

Yes, yes buy the tickets! We did many things on our trip to Maui and this was one of my absolute favorite experiences! Our tour guide Katie (Kassidy? I'm bad with names) was The Best!! It was a little bit of history, adventure, and a bit of humor to make the time worthwhile! I enjoyed seeing the fields and also the processing area. Tasting the pineapple was fabulous!! So glad we went on this tour!

This tour was awesome! We learned so much about the growing process, the picking process, and the distribution process - not to mention the farm itself. Shiloh is a phenomenal tour guide who has a lot of passion in his position. He’s funny, educational, and intriguing all at the same time. He really keeps you engaged. Pineapples are beautiful and we were blown away learning all about them - we have an even deeper appreciation for them now.

I enjoyed learning about pineapples and seeing so many of them in person was really cool! The instructions on where to meet were clear and the gift shop was fantastic. The pineapple samples we were given at the end of our tour were indeed the best pineapple I had ever eaten. However, the tour felt very rushed to me. Each of the stops off the bus lasted less than 3 minutes and I had no opportunity to ask the tour guide questions. I had to run and squeeze in any pictures I wanted to as people re-boarded the bus; there was no time to soak in the experience, take photos, or ask questions, which I did not appreciate, especially given the $100/person cost of this experience. Furthermore, the tour guide (Mo) started talking politics to us over the intercom during one of the bus rides towards the end of the tour, which I did NOT appreciate, especially on vacation! Very unprofessional. Lastly, we cut into one of the pineapples we got a day or 2 after the tour, and it tasted just like a pineapple I'd buy in a grocery store in the continental US: hard and sour; it was nothing like the one we tasted on the tour. I would recommend looking into other pineapple tours to see if they are better.

This tour was a lot of fun and better than I expected. Rudy, our tour guide, has a great sense of humor. He's also been in the pineapple business for almost 50 years. That seems crazy because he doesn't look that old. And he's really knowledgeable. We took a small, air-conditioned bus and toured around the property, stopping to get out and learn about the different stages of the pineapple and how they grow. We ate pineapple in the fields, and also found out why Maui Gold pineapples taste so much better than the pineapples we buy on the mainland. We got some history of the pineapple industry on the island -it was fascinating. Maui Gold is run like a family business. To keep the quality high, they only sell locally but they will ship to you on the mainland US and in Canada. Everybody leaves with a boxed pineapple, ready to bring home on the plane. Really worth it!

This tour is definitely worth the trip. You start at the gift shop and take a small van into the pineapple farm. We made three field stops where we looked at pineapples at different stages of growth. The highlight was eating fresh pineapple in the field! Our tour guide was Mo and he was funny and very knowledgeable about all things pineapple. Compared to the Dole Pineapple tour, this one felt more authentic and intimate. The final stop was at the packing plant and every first receives a free pineapple, already packed to take home. We had elementary through high school aged kids on the tour and all of them found the tour interesting. Family friendly excursion. Make sure you arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts because they do start promptly.

The tour was a great learning experience and quite fun to know the farming and harvesting process. The Maui gold pineapples are heavenly sweet. Will definitely order more of them.

Excellent, informative & funny tour given by Shiloh! The check in location was a bit hard to find as its inside the distillery building. The bus held 24 or so people & ours was packed. Shiloh was very funny & knowledgable & an expert at cutting pineapples with a machete! He also knew the exact spots to take us for photo ops & even gave us a photography lesson on how to take the best photos of the purple flowers growing from the pineapples! It was an awesome tour & I’d recommend it to anyone. The free pineapples at the end packed for the airport were also a super nice touch. Maui gold pineapples are delicious! The gift store also had a lot of cute, quality items & the glass blowing place next door is worth checking out as well.

As an avid golfer, I've experienced my fair share of golf courses, but Pukalani Country Club is one that stands out in memory. The course is a masterpiece, beautifully nestled in a picturesque setting that offers both challenge and visual delight to any golfer. The layout of the course is thoughtfully designed, providing an engaging mix of holes that cater to various skill levels. Each hole offers its unique challenge, keeping the game interesting and enjoyable. The greens are well-maintained, offering smooth and consistent rolls, which is a testament to the groundskeepers' dedication. What truly makes Pukalani Country Club a gem is the stunning panoramic views it offers. Playing here, you're treated to breathtaking vistas that enhance the overall experience. It's not just a game here; it's an encounter with the beauty of nature. The staff at the club deserve special mention for their hospitality and professionalism. From the moment you arrive, you are treated with warmth and respect, adding to the overall positive experience of the day. However, there's one aspect that slightly mars the experience - the golf paths. The paths are quite rough and bumpy, making the cart rides somewhat uncomfortable. It's a contrast to the otherwise smooth experience provided by the club. An upgrade or maintenance of these paths would certainly elevate the experience to match the high standards set by the other aspects of the club. In summary, Pukalani Country Club Golf Course is a fantastic destination for golfers seeking a blend of challenge, beauty, and top-notch facilities. Despite the minor issue with the golf paths, it's a course that I would highly recommend and eagerly return to for another round of memorable golf.

Beautiful course - in excellent condition. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Not a fancy facility - but a great golf course. Pretty easy and forgiving - but if the challenge is not enough for you - the views will make you forget all about that. We heard the food was excellent but we were not able to partake - maybe next time!

We are always looking for a good breakfast place and this was a good fine. We ate there Sunday morning and I got my favorite eggs Benedict & potatoes and my wife got eggs & fried rice. Both were great. One of the few places on the island where the breakfast potatoes were hot and crispy. The Benedict eggs were cooked just right - not over cooked. The fried rice portions were ample to say the least. All the seating was on an open deck and the server was friendly and the food came out quickly but there was no one else there at 8:30am on a Sunday morning.

Nice course for the price, unfortunately when the clubhouse was burnt down several years ago the overseas owners decided not to rebuild so they still have temporary container facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining how best to play the course - especially the more challenging holes

Suburban golf course with some great views, just watch out for the houses that line the fairways! A local vibe, very casual. The highlight after 18 holes was the 'clubhouse'. The Fish Burger with a side salad was probably the best meal I've eaten on Maui so far. "The food is really good here!" said our server with authority. Friendly, local, low key. Love it!

A beautiful spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch! We came here to celebrate our uncles birthday. Service was excellent, food was quick and delicious. We ordered the fried rice with kimchi (yummm) and a mushroom burger to share. The fries were the perfect amount of crisp! Fried rice portion was huge and the over easy egg on top was cooked just right! Uncle had the fish and chips and he loved it. A great spot to come even if you don’t golf!

Visiting from Florida. This course felt like a hidden gem on the slopes of a dormant volcano. Great course. Great food. Amazing views. Really glad to have played with a group who knew the course. Will absolutely play again.

Great staff great course great views. A total must if your in the area visiting. The price is super reasonable. Course is in excellent shape. It’s pretty wide open but demanding bc if the wind and distances. There’s also a lot of trees guarding the rough. 3rd hole is cool you can choose which hole you want to play so really it’s “19 holes “ will be back!

Everyone here is extremely nice and all the want is for you to have a great time while you’re on the island. They have very nice rental sets one of my friends used since he didn’t have a set. Very welcoming and will be back. Lots of elevation and challenging holes. Cheers

I play here every February and once again it's well worth the drive from the West side. The folks are always very friendly. The course is in great shape with amazing views. Club up on #3 to clear the chasm! Good food in the restraunt. A great day of golf!

Found this course after looking for a reasonably priced course on Maui. It did not disappoint. It was about $130 all in with all the rentals/balls needed to play, including a cart and playing around noon. There was a nice breeze and it was for sure cooler due to the higher elevation. Homes are along most the fairways which wasn’t ideal. Course was in great shape, and some of the holes have very nice views.

Beautiful views. Very well maintained. Good restaurant. Hopefully they will renovate the old building soon. This place deserves it.

Getting there was easy and locals said it was a great place to go...and it was! People helped find the things we needed. Loved that they had a small washing detergent (great for a week stay there) and reasonably priced! Also, get their hot noodle dishes! Whatever is under the heat lamps that they make in the kitchen is AMAZING! We got a pad thai of sorts and it was sooo good and such a large serving we used the left over in our breakfast eggs! They had quite the variety of stuff there to get, so even though Google can't say if it has everything you want, I'd go and check because well enough they will have it or tell you where to go and get it. This long time upcountry market is a local favorite. Saves Pukalani, Makawao, and Kula residents from driving downtown for groceries and pre-cooked meals. A must stop location when visiting Maui.

Fantastic supermarket. They have a bunch of local items including poke, hot items, and baked goods. They have fresh fruit. The people there are super nice.

Good store, well stocked and friendly personnel. On my last visit a week ago, i needed to use the restroom and was refused by a worker. I am a senior and you know how it is with us.holding. 😓

Nice mom and pop type grocery store. We don’t shop here often as we live in town. We like their ham, stuffing, chili and baked chicken, potato mac salad, ready to cook kalbi ribs, tako poke and cut flower selection. Workers are pleasant and efficient. Catering dept is friendly and efficient.

One of the best stores on island! Has local produce, good selection of organic stuff, hot food prepared daily with a local flavour! Cakes and pies are so good, and a great selection of different alcohol! Local meats and great vibe! Small and unique art studio and gift shop. The grounds, buildings are just as interesting as the studio and gift shop.

This is a wonderful upcountry spot to peruse local art & visit artist studios (when they’re open). The gallery & grounds are free but they do ask for donations. The mural room in the main house and the 2 giant Monkeypod trees up front were our favorite spots. Sitting under the trees and admiring the views was an exceptional upcountry experience. It would be a lovely spot for a quiet picnic.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception on the grounds and it was an absolute dream. We wanted something unique and authentic and this gorgeous place offered the most perfect place to host our guests. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

Beautiful grounds! You are allowed to walk around, maybe have a picnic. Yes, there is a bathroom during business hours.

The art center is a wonderful part of the Upcountry community and offers more than just classes. They host unique events throughout the year, to bring awareness and enjoyment to the general public. For example, the recent Forest Bathing Green Walks with Phyllis Look that introduced this natural practice here on Maui. The Hui No’eau is a treasured resource for us all.

Enjoyed the Wild Mind creativity class very much. Tamara Moan and Deb Mellom were excellent teachers and I was delighted with the session and setting.

Stopped in to enjoyed the juried art exhibit. Some interesting pieces. Worth the stop if you're heading up the mountain!

One of the best farmer’s markets for local produce and prepared foods. It gets really busy and parking is difficult so go early—like 6:30AM! 🌅

Your standard farmers market. However there are some interesting things. There are some local artists, a guy that sells only watercress, food stalls, and various home made products. There does seem to be a larger produce stand here. So maybe local? Anyways, parking can get tuff so come early. Like 7 am early. That’s tough for some people, lots of people I know, to get up that early for local produce. But hay, it gets you up early to enjoy the rest of the day. If you bring your date here and that person actually goes and is on time, you guys have something there!

Very pleased with my farmer market purchases today! All of the produce is exception, there was unique, and healthy food trucks/booths, and also beautiful jewelry and gift ideas!

Wish we could spend more time here. Loved it. Got some fresh fruits and had some smoothies. Upcountry maui is a vibe in itself. Head on to do some maui goat yoga after the market visit!
