A wonderful place to learn how Sake is brewed starting from rice grinded seeds. You can taste the various flavours of sake and buy the one that is more tasty for you.

During my 5 weeks visit and tour to Nagano, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, Osaka , Tokyo, Ginza, Shimbashi and Shinjuku, I always drank the famous Saijo sake brewed by Kamotsuru- the Daijinjo sake aka the Obama sake. I drank it during lunch with my spicy ramen, dinner with my beef or eel bento set and during Happy Hour at the 24th floor of the New Otani Hotel like the locals do in these cities. This famous Daijinjo sake are sold at most supermarkets. It has a very beautiful fragrance taste and it is smooth down your throat. You must really try it.

The Sake distillery of Obama fame and probably largest in size and organisation, they show a video on Sake making and free tasting of their products, if you were to visit a distillery this is one.

We have had two Sake tasting sets and one tasting of an aged plum liqueur. The sales persons placed the bottles directly behind so that we knew wich one. They do barely speak any English. They also do not offer or provide upon request any water to neutralize the taste between the different sakes. Strange for a tasting. We wanted to buy one of the aged sakes. They told us these were not for sale?! So why let people taste them? Finally, I bought the aged plum liqueur by pointing at the bottle the girl placed behind the tasting glass. At home, we found out they sold us something completely different, a fresh 2023 sake instead of the aged plum liqueur. Honestly, they should not serve foreign customers if they are not able to basic services.

They have some award winning sakes including the one that President Obama had with Prime Minister Abe when dining at Sukiyabashi Jiro. The quality is good and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend to visit

Tasting sake of 4 types. A good video to understand the making process. However, it is far from Hiroshima station and it is cheaper to buy their sake at the Yamatoya store than there. If you are short in time, it is not worth to go.

Kagamiyama is the big garden near Hiroshima university. I usually come here to stroll and relax after a tough time. In the springtime when cherry blossoms bloom, the garden is unbelievably beautiful. Lots of students and people in Saijo come here to picnic and spend valuable time with precious people.

One nice park near Hiroshima University. Good place for a visit with family to enjoy the view or play in the playground. During the early spring, there is a lot of Sakura (Japanese Cherry Blossoms) tree that blooms here. Many people would come here to enjoy hanami.

No entry fee, 24 hours open, amenities are available. Green grasses, forest, quiet and calm park for have a walk, coffee or simply seat for serene nature.

It's a nice place to relax, do exercise, have lunch and best for your kids to run, and play at the playground.

so peaceful. a place where you can spend time with your family or pet. great space for kids to play. quite scenic when its sakura time. in weekends i saw two musicians playing amazing instrumental music. they are so adept. pacifying music indeed.

Geologists paradise in a Japanese garden. I could walk around for hours here and look at the rocks, which are gathered from all over Japan. The minral collection inside is nice but not very local it seems.

The place is great, especially in autumn. It is fun for kids too. There are many beautiful crystals collection you can look at and buy. The entrance is 700¥ per person which I think is a little expensive.

Perfect place for short time visit!

This is one of good park where we can spend one day with family and loved ones. In this park, they have brought various stones from across Japan and as well as some from Chinna. There is one small water falls which is absolutely beautiful. There is also small kind of museum where you can find colourful stones. Plan for minimum half day to this place. Also, there is a parking place for free till now. My friends even came in bicycle to enjoy natural scenery around this place.

It was unexpected to find a beautiful vast stone garden in this area of Higashihiroshima city. Not so many people know this garden yet. It is best to visit this place in summer. Very limited information provided in foreign language.

Convenient shopping mall with bakery and florist right at the entrance of the supermarket. Game centre, cinema, restaurants and more making it a great one stop shopping area. Parking can be hard to find during peak times

Very convenient place, it should be one of the main commercial areas in Saijo. Around the place you can find clothing, shoes, movie theatre, pharmacy, restaurants, home centers, pet shop, anime stuff, electronics, etc.

Have alot shop here. Many choice for shoes, light and value buy. Have a Daiso shop on top level. And I love the mocha dessert and it always long q...

Only one Department in Saijo with cinema. Big supermarket, KFC, Dunkin Donut and other food and shopping.

The major shopping centre in Saijyo where you ll get everything you need rainging from grocerirs to clothes to electronics. But, it might be a little expensive

This place has a KFC and a large week stocked supermarket. Great bread as well.
