Shoal Bay is a picturesque bay that boasts sandy beaches, water sports and regular dolphin sightings. It features an idyllic stretch of brilliant white sand, sprinkled with tiny crushed shells and remains remarkably free from any blight. The area offers small-scale resorts and villas as well as laid-back beach bars along the sand.
One of the BEST beaches. Soft powdery sand consisting of pink coral specs and white seashell flakes. Amazing turquoise pristine waters. Cannot get enough of the beautiful views.

Atmosphere was nice, Diversity String band was great. The food was horrible! I ordered steak medium well … I got a well done and chewy steak! I brought it to their attention and a discount was given. Lesson: don’t order steak at a beach bar!

This was our favorite beach on the island when we visited for the first time. Although a beach this beautiful shouldn't be secluded, that's exactly what it was. It was like we had the whole beach to ourselves. I walked all the way to the point and east to a part of the beach where there was no one. The clarity of the water is perfect and the colors of blue, amazing. Beach restaurants were available as were beach umbrellas and chairs. A great place to go to relax and get away from it all.

What can I say other than…This Beach is one of the BEST IN THE WORLD…Check the lists! I am not a beach person usually..but visiting Anguilla and the a few of beaches here turned me into a BONAFIDE FAN! My bar is set high for ALL the other beaches I visit!

Shoal Bay East is a world class beach! It is a magical and uplifting place. The sand is silky white and incredibly soft and smooth. The water is incredibly clear and clean. We were and still are blown away by this beach. We were greeted by "Ray" once we got there and he was Awesome and Kind. He owns beach rental items and they are very affordable. I believe two beach chairs and an umbrella were either 10 or 20 bucks only for the day. There are two restaurants right on the beach that are very clean and the food was outstanding and the service was great.

OMG!!... That's what I said when we arrived. We have been in many beaches around the world and we can say that, so far, this is NUMBER ONE... this was Paradise. White sand, super clear water, BEAUTIFUL. Restaurants are expensive and OK.

This stunning bay boasts crystal clear blue waters that are sure to take your breath away, making it a true paradise destination.
Shallow turquoise water, wide white sandbar, the beach I liked the most in Anguilla, no joke Four Seasons is there. Beach is public, chairs and umbrella are for hotel guests there is a big public area where you can set your stuff and enjoy the whole day. Good restaurant at the end.

Locals claimed the water was dirty because the waves were rolling. This still may have been the best beach I’ve seen in my life. The water was so clear with the different hues of blue. The perfect white sand beach. Private despite the hotel that lines the shore from a comfortable distance. This beach will not disappoint

Amazing beach. Late April and there was only us on the beach. A few resort guests but they stay up in their chairs mainly. Super calm waters on one side and then as you walk the beach it gets a bit rougher but nothing crazy. The resort security is super helpful and explains where to park. Super easy.

Prickley Pear Cays is an unpopulated island situated near Anguilla, known for its pristine white-sand beaches and opportunities for snorkeling. The island features an underwater cavern located 6 miles northwest of the mainland that offers excellent diving experiences with sightings of nurse sharks and barracuda swimming through rock formations as well as several sunken shipwrecks.
Must do!!! We used Jenice tours with Warren and Dean, they are the best. This island is amazing. They have a restaurant there you can eat at, but we decided to hike around instead to make most of our time there. The views are immaculate. Untouched sands other than my own footprints and glass like water. It’s the perfect day trip. It’s about a 25 minute ride from Sandy Ground where they pick you up. You can also see little Prickley pear from the tip of the island.

I loved my stay at Renezvous Bay Hotel. The staff is so friendly and accommodating! I send my love Carol a staff member there. She made me feel so at home with her bubbly perosnality! Waking up and going to bed to the sound of the ocean is so therapeutic. Its right on the beach, so every rising as I get up, I head straight to the ocean for a dip. So healing 🤩

We’ve spent 7 nights here in an upstairs room, and it is heaven. We have drove around the island, each day exploring the various beautiful beaches of Anguilla, but we are in the perfect location on the island. There are restaurants within walking distance, but rent a car so you can go to Embers, Blanchards, Straw Hat as well. Breakfast has been great and ties us over to dinner. The people in Anguilla are so sweet and helpful. The staff at Rendezvous Bay Hotel are incredible. We will definitely be back.
Jo Elworth — Google review
Oh we love these people! The Location is sheer perfection, cleanliness, food and drink. It's quiet, all you hear is the ocean unless you want to put on some music. We had visited Anguilla and Fell in Love in 2015 - stayed at La Vue and really loved THOSE folks and the location, but drove around the island visiting every beach. Rendezvous Bay would be a Bucket List place to stay on it's own merit and you Can Stay in the 600+ dollar per night spots and be "Just off the Beach," at the other end of the bay. Here, it is Very Affordable, Very Clean, LARGE Rooms with a nice kitchen and plenty of storage for luggage etc. It's like having your own place, your own sweeeet patio, maybe a dozen steps into the water. The Sunsets are Phenomenal, bottom is sandy and service is excellent. Nice little walk down the beach for breakfast gives you another little walk AFTER breakfast and you always arrive back with a happy belly. The food and drink is Always Great! We will be back soon! At Rendezvous Bay Hotel, We found our Paradise! (Don't tell TOO MANY People!)

Located within the Frangipani Beach Resort on the picturesque Meads Bay, Straw Hat restaurant has been a beloved dining destination since 1996. Great time here ! We came after sunset so not much of an ocean view, but the restaurant is located right next to the sand. Was dimly lit and good vibes. Staff was courteous and quick, food was the main highlight. We tried the grilled fish and curried goat. Highly recommended and will visit again

The beach is lovely, it is perfect to watch while eating. The food was delicious. My dad and I had was the turkey club and was great! The service was wonderful and it did not take long for the food to get to our table. It is kid friendly and I do recommend it.

We stayed at Frangipani for 7 nights and had breakfast at The Straw Hat every morning. We also had several lunches and dinners at the restaurant (2 dinners delivered to our room). I think we tried most things on the menu and really everything was delicious. Standouts were: - Curried Goat - Ceviche (became a go-to meal for me) - Seafood Tacos - Breakfast (2 eggs meal) - Cosmos (perfectly made) After our first meal, the staff always recognized us and welcomed us. We interacted with the owners as well who were very kind. Today (Sunday) was our final breakfast at Straw Hat and the restaurant was PACKED!!! The staff handled it with laughs, smiles and grace and took care of everyone as quickly as possible. The view is also pretty spectacular but it’s nice to take it in in a covered setting (especially when those unexpected rain storms show up). Thanks to the entire staff at Straw Hat for taking care of us on our honeymoon and always welcoming us like longtime friends!

Wednesdays are wonderful at Straw Hat. Live music every night. The pork chop, mahi with lemon butter and chicken breast were all delicious. The desserts don’t stay far behind. Rosie was lovely to us when we went for breakfast the next day.

Had a great beach front breakfast at Straw Hat this morning and the staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. We were staying at a 5 star resort down the beach and the staff at Straw Hat were far and away better trained, friendlier, and more attentive. Would come back in heartbeat for the staff alone; easily the nicest people we met on the island.

Mixed Experiences. First visit was for lunch. We spent time on the beach and then came up for some drinks and lunch. Service was beyond friendly - super engaging and helpful server. We had the plantain chips (highly recommend), conch fritters (highly recommend) and Big Eye Tuna Flatbread (recommend). Others had the hot dog, burger and Cesar salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service. Went back with a different group, this time for dinner. Service was lackluster - got the impression they didn't really want to serve us and I have a feeling this wasn't a normal attitude. Looked like they had a very very large table of a family that had way too much to drink and we received the brunt of it. Too bad because service was so exceptional on the prior visit. For dinner I had the curry goat this time with coconut rice and I really enjoyed it - definite thumbs up from me! Others in the party had the deconstructed eggplant (was OK) and the snapper (just OK as well). I'd go back again for lunch and drinks anytime and hope that no obnoxious, drunk families are there as well.

We visited Straw Hat on our first trip to Anguilla. The first visit was planned as a beach day at Meads Bay. We chose Straw Hat for our beach day because we also planned to eat lunch there. First off...we got beach chairs and an umbrella. A young man got us settled and brought my wife a cold tropical drink. We lounged for a while then took a dip in some of the most beautiful water we've ever seen. Meads Bay is one of the best beaches in the world. We then walked across the beach to the restaurant. I'm not a bona-fide foodie so I had a delicious chicken club sandwich. The portion was huge and I had to take some back to the villa as well as my wife's delicious grilled chicken wrap. After lunch, we went back to our chairs on the beach for a short while. We were so impressed with the restaurant that we went back the night before we were to fly back home. I had an amazing New York strip steak and my wife had the creole chicken. The rolls were amazing and my chocolate lava cake dessert was delicious as well. We enjoyed the total food and beach experience.

This place was dreamy and my seafood pasta hit the spot!! So so good it was just delicious. Open air to the beach so our kids could run around in the sand after a long flight and transfer. Very welcoming atmosphere, fast cheery service and broad menu. Not a ton of kids there for dinner but we felt very at ease dining there with our young kids, their kids menu is great.

I had few delicious breakfasts and dinners at Straw Hat. A good start and end of the day, enjoying the view and each single bite. Smoothies are also tasty. For dinner, I had pork chop, grilled snapper, and blackened chicken, all yummy, especially the chicken. Pork was very tender and tasty.

We came here based on the reviews we read online and were not thrilled with our experience. We’ve been here 5 days and it was by far our worst meal & dining experience yet. Service was beyond slow - I know island time is a thing, but this is a whole different level. We had to ask for our check TWICE - 30 minutes after finishing our meal. The meal itself was nothing to write home about. The steak was way too salty and the Red Snapper was way too lemony. The conch ceviche was more like a salad than ceviche. Very disappointed in our experience and will not be back.
Maria Ball — Google review
The food was excellent and I would easily give five stars if the bottle of rosé had the right temperature. It came to the table warm (almost hot) and although the waitresses were very friendly and efficient bringing ice to the bucket several times to cool it down, it didn’t help. We had to put ice cubes inside our glasses in order to be able to drink the wine. The wine only hit the desired temperature when we were eating our desserts. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This was our favorite restaurant during our entire 6 night stay in Anguilla. Everything was amazing! The lobster risotto and the crayfish are MUST-HAVES. The service is great, and so is the ambiance. The lobster risotto is seriously one of my favorite meals I've ever had. YOU NEED to eat here while you're in Anguilla. It will not disappoint. I have no idea why it only has 4.3 stars, it definitely deserves 5.

Our favorite meal on the island! This restaurant was recommend by a couple who comes to Anguilla every year and it did not disappoint. It’s right on the beach so you can hear the waves at night and the restaurant is beautiful. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was unreal. We got two orders of the crayfish and we finished every last bite. Make sure you get the lemon butter sauce with it - it puts the crayfish over the top!

Came here for dinner on a Thursday. Very refined quiet atmosphere with mostly older 50 - 60 year old clientele. They run a tight ship reservation-wise. Food and cocktails, wine very good. DO NOT come here for dinner with young kids they are totally out of place. The presence of our well-behaved children seemed to be a negative for the table next to us, and I received glares from that waiter. For sure I would not return with youngsters.

Fantastic dinner at Jacala! Lobster was delicious in risotto AND sautéed on roasted tomatoes. The restaurant does offer wine corkage at $50 per bottle. Filet mignon was superb as well. Although not on the dinner menu, you can order a Caesar salad for your appetizer.

Veya Restaurant, located in Sandy Ground, is a unique hillside tree house eatery offering a pricy five-course tasting menu. If that's not within your budget, you can still enjoy freshly baked Johnny cakes and jerk chicken at the shaded downstairs cafe. Chef Carrie Bogar shares her story of moving from Pennsylvania to this remote island to create a small restaurant with big-city clientele. Sourcing local produce can be challenging but adds to the authenticity of the cuisine.
Recommended to us from a local, did not disappoint! Staff were kind and attentive .. and there was lovely live music downstairs nearby. We tried the shrimp cigars, lobster and the lamb chops which were cooked beautifully. Also I don’t know what they put in their biscuit/bread but that was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again!

wow ...YEYA xxoo I can't say enough about the special restaurant located in Sandy Ground, Anguilla. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Order everything, Lobster, and you'll absolutely love it. The lobster fritters are probably the best lobster related menu item that I and my family have ever eaten. The lobster bisque is to die for! The service, the staff is so so friendly. We celebrated a birthday at VEYA and the staff all sang and had smiles on their faces. VEYA is worth the trip, worth the money and worth the time. I wish we could bring this restaurant back home with us! On your trip to Anguilla if you're only planning to visit one special restaurant pick VEYA. Beautiful little restaurant! You're located within what I believe is a botanical gardens (as we were there at night, I couldn't be totally sure) but on the second floor it puts you up with the tops of the trees for a very romantic feel. There were no bugs which I was very surprised about being in a garden. The service was wonderful. By far the fastest we've had on the island. The lobster fritters and shrimp cigars were amazing along with the salad. The ribeye special was wonderful and the fish was beautifully done. The sauces were all fantastic. The dessert!! Oh My The dessert! The keylime pie was amazing and tangy. The lava cake was decadent and melty. I would come back for that alone!

This was, quite literally, the best meal my wife and I have ever had! The atmosphere, the food, the service - all perfect. We ordered the lobster fritters to start - in addition to the Johnny cakes, the fritters were delicious. I tried the shrimp - the curry sauce was phenomenal, along with the hush puppies - and my wife had the mahi mahi. The addition of sticky rice to the fish completely transformed and elevated it. For dessert, I got the apple pear crisp. The ice cream, combined with the warm hot crumble, is amazing. If in Anguilla, you HAVE to eat here!

The eatery features an upscale and modern ambiance with most seating right on the sandy shores. Its menu showcases a fusion of Caribbean and international cuisine, including delectable dishes like ahi tuna tartar, roasted Thai beef salad, lobster spring roll, and tamarind-glazed sea scallops.
Had lunch with 15mo daughter. Seating arrangement w ocean view was nice. Food tasted good, had a dj that allowed good entertainment. I loved the drink glasses, it made my regular ginger ale feel fancy🥰

Kim Coulter — Google review
We dined at Da Vida quite recently. Overall experience was good but there were some mishaps. Most importantly, it’s not exactly sailing boat friendly, probably because Crocus Bay is expensive to anchor, so most charters don’t prefer it. There’s no dinghy dock, so you have to pull your dinghy to the shore and walk into the restaurant carrying the all sand of the beach. (The dinghy dock at the bay was ‘locked’, and the restaurant didn’t have the key.) Second, I think it’s a better place for lunch; at dinner, although the decor was lovely, it was a bit stuffy. Now the positives : Crocus Bay is a little bay with calm waters and a killer sunset. The service was polite and efficient. The cocktails were ok, as was the wine list. The food was quite a different story though, I loved my seafood pasta. However, the overall satisfaction of the group was mixed. As a general comment, we enjoyed the seafood dishes, compared to ribs. Overall, it might be a better place for lunch then dinner.

Wow Google... 2 months ago we were there and you just reminded me. I do not remember the minute details. But it was wonderful. I am pretty sure my wife and I stopped in for a quick drink to enjoy the view. We did ot go I to the water because it was late November. And as I remember, the water's edge has some rocks and shells. But the view is amazing and the people were even better. We try to make it back at least once per trip if the time allows.

Restaurant was half empty. Couldn’t get service as the kitchen was too busy. They weren’t sure if we could get a drink either. And in any case, none of the waiters could come over to our table but two other workers came who were blissfully ignorant about anything other than that it would probably be “a while” before we could get any service as they were so busy. Too bad as the place looked nice and has potential.

Da'Vida's, located in Crocus Bay, Anguilla, offers a delightful beach bar and a separate restaurant, providing a diverse dining experience. The chicken Caesar pizza is an absolute delight, boasting delicious flavors that will satisfy any pizza lover. The rib meal is a standout, elevated by a homemade BBQ sauce that is truly exceptional. The service at Da'Vida's can vary depending on the day and staff, but overall, it is generally okay. The view is both breathtaking and tranquil, creating a serene ambiance that enhances the dining experience. On Sundays, they often feature live music, making it their busiest day and adding to the lively atmosphere. I had the pleasure of visiting Da'Vida's for lunch during the week, and it proved to be a fantastic choice. The steak, cooked to order, delighted my mother, while the ribs exceeded my expectations. The flavors were remarkable, and the presentation was equally appealing. Da'Vida's is a wonderful destination for both locals and tourists alike, providing a beachside setting, flavorsome cuisine, and a calming atmosphere. While service may have some variability, the overall experience is enjoyable and worth visiting. Whether you're in the mood for a scrumptious pizza, top-tier ribs, or a well-prepared steak, Da'Vida's will leave you satisfied.

Service was acceptable if a bit slow. The beach, while pretty, is challenging due to a rocky entrance to the water. The largest issue however was food quality vs price. Two years ago, the menu and food quality were much better. We ordered the margarita pizza. Crust was substandard. Tomatoes were not fresh and ripe like everywhere else on the island, and no basil? The mixed platter for $30 was a too expensive and poor value. Small serving size and likely out of a box frozen food. Mixed drinks are more expensive than elsewhere so we abstained. Music on Sunday was a DJ and music not geared to the crowd. Finally, once seated on the beach, nobody checked on us re:drinks. Just being straight.

Excellent beachfront restaurant on Anguilla. Pizza, pasta, BBQ were all delicious. Service was excellent as well and the restaurant sits right on a beautiful Anguillan beach. Prices reasonable too.

Great atmosphere! Great food and view! The employee who helped us set up was amazing and made our experience so easy going! We have been here numerous times and will be back next time as well! My favorite spot to go in Anguilla!

We arrived at this location as a result of taking the tour by way of Billy Bones Day Tour. Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we washed our feet and we were immediately seated to wait our meal. It did take quite a while for our meals to start arriving at the table. The server came over and took our drink orders initially when we sat down. We ordered two lemonades, but when they arrived at the table, it tasted as if they were watered down to the point of just water. The lemonade was even clear upon arrival and not yellow as I felt it should be, so I sent it back and asked for pineapple juice and sweet tea instead. Both of the drinks promptly arrived at the table and both were much better in taste. We eventually got our food delivered to the table a fish sandwich and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both of our meal selections were hot and we started to eat. When we finished, our plates were promptly taken and the tables cleaned up. The restrooms are adjacent to the restaurant area. They appear to be like outhouses built-in wood with see-through floors and open rooms, but they're actually equipped like a standard restroom with a toilet, running water, and paper towels. The server did not return with the receipt, so I got up and went to the bar to pay out. Service is lacking in the place, so be prepared to wait.

Blanchards Restaurant and Beach Shack is a renowned dining spot in Anguilla, known for its island specialties like jerk chicken and roasted lobster. The restaurant also offers the opportunity to purchase the owners' book, "A Trip to the Beach." In addition to Blanchards, there are other beachfront restaurants like Jacala that serve seafood and pasta dishes. Blanchards Beach Shack, which opened in 2011 on Meads Bay Beach, provides affordable yet delicious food options such as lobster rolls.
My husband and I ate at the restaurant last night and had a wonderful experience. We are here on our honeymoon and the restaurant made menus with our names on them and welcomed us with a glass of champagne…both were very nice touches. The restaurant is really beautiful and the setting was both elevated and relaxed…I don’t know that there’s a bad seat in the place. Our meal was fantastic from start to finish. We started with the calamari + poke tacos and then I had the grouper while my husband had the chicken. We finished with the carrot cake (our favorite flavor & wedding cake) and it was delicious! The staff was really fantastic and this is definitely one of our favorite & most memorable dining experiences of our honeymoon. We have also had lunch at the beach shack and those meals have been great as well.

Great place to spend the afternoon. Healthy food that was surprisingly really good, with a large menu. The jerk chicken sandwich was simple but incredibly flavorful. Drinks were great and the vibes were top notch, all right next to a massive white sand beach. Would certainly come back.

The ambience and environment of the shack is amazing. The food is quick and top notch quality. You have plenty of gluten free and vegan options. This is an excellent establishment on one of the most beautiful bays of Anguilla.

Really one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. The staff were wonderful and the food was superb. I made reservations to go back on another night. Don’t miss it!! The cracked coconut dessert was extraordinary and the drinks were well prepared.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Big Bowl with shrimp and if wad some of the best food! Great prices and is very accommodating to dietary needs (vegan, dairy free, gluten free, etc). If you are in the area or are visiting, give Blanchards a try!

We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at Blanchards Beach Shack. I had been planning the event remotely over the course of several months leading up to the event, and the event coordinator Denise made the entire planning process so simple and seamless. She made the food and beverage selection so easy and also coordinated with external vendors for our decor and other rentals which took a huge weight off my shoulders! The actual event was a huge success thanks to the entire wonderful Blanchards staff. The food was absolutely delicious, our guests were gushing over how yummy everything was, and they were easily able to accommodate an entire gluten free meal for my father. The ambiance was also perfect for our group to mingle, drink, dance and have fun the night before our wedding! I cannot recommend the Beach Shack enough, whether you are having an intimate event or large party. Blanchards as a whole is one of our favorite restaurants not only due to their outstanding food and ambiance but in large part due to the amazing and welcoming people at Blanchards who make it feel like a family!

Food is amazing and comes quick from a beach stand. Ate so many meals here on our trip to Anguilla and all were very good!

The food in the restaurant was great. And if you are on a budget, their beach shack is good food at the lowest prices we saw on Meads Bay. We got happy hour drink for dirt cheap. Both places (the restaurant and beach shack) are next to each other and have tables with nice views of the bay.

Blanchard's Beach Shack on Mead's Bay offers an interesting menu. Sadly, A lot of my favorites including mussels have been removed over the years. I now gravitate toward shrimp bowls when I head down to enjoy a relaxed dining experience. The ordering process is easy, and the service is usually good. It's an ideal place for a friend date or a family day out. The shrimp bowls are bursting with flavor. With its beachfront location, “outdoorsy” dining layout and satisfying meals, Blanchard's Beach Shack is a popular spot in Anguilla.

Visited the shack, a wonderfully serene and laid-back spot situated right on the sandy beach. The abundance of seating options and the diverse menu caught my attention, and what delighted me further was the affordability of the dishes. Although the portion sizes were slightly smaller than usual, they turned out to be surprisingly filling. Walking towards the beach chairs, one can enjoy the charming view of the restaurant, which exudes a cozy ambiance, especially when the night sets in and the enchanting lights illuminate both the shack and the beach area. The entrance is equally captivating, adorned with overhead string lights and lush greenery on either side. As for the food, I tried the shrimp bowl, which unfortunately fell short of expectations. It lacked sufficient beans, and the combination of onions and dressing on top didn't quite complement the dish. On the other hand, the pulled chicken dish was a better choice and left a positive impression. Additionally, the burgers and chicken tenders were particularly delightful, proving to be a highlight of the dining experience

This quickly became our go-to lunch spot during our stay in Anguilla. Located on beautiful Mead's Bay, this Beach Shack is just perfection. The warm, crispy goat cheese salad on kale is amazing. We also loved the tacos, mahi bites, and rum punch (best on the island)! They have something for everyone at very affordable prices. You definitely need to check this spot out early on during your trip, you'll end up going everyday! My only wish is that they opened earlier than 12pm:)

This is a MUST if you are visiting Anguilla! First off, loved learning about the history of the restaurant, how much they invest in their staff’s development and local community, and then how serious they are about their wine list! The food is also amazing…pictured here is the crab cakes, potato bravas, pork shank and then their famous “Cracked Coconut” dessert! It was all very well done. Great to meet the owner and chef Mrs. Blanchard who visited every table!

In 2017 my husband took me to Anguilla for 3 weeks in March for my 60th birthday. It came on the heels of a very heartbreaking 2016, the year I lost my only child, my daughter as well as my Mom. This was a much needed getaway to just relax, which is why we chose Anguilla. It’s a lovely island. Very pricey for tourists but tourism is what keeps the island going. The beaches are the best I’ve seen, out of many. The clearest blue water! Pristine beaches. For my birthday dinner which was 3 days after arriving we went to Blanchards. Right on the beach. From the outside you’d think, not much to speak of. But once inside and are eating…..oh my heavens. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had sea bass, my husband had grouper. A wonderful coconut ice cream in a coconut shell for dessert was amazing. I loved Anguila. We took the boat to St. Martin twice for day tripping…..did not care for it.
