This waterfall is officially closed by the forest department. The water has also stopped, maybe because the stream has changed its direction. The roads leading to the waterfall have been completely covered by mud, bushes and wild grass and also obstructed by wooden logs. I would recommend not to go as it has lost its beauty.

Not a very beautiful tourist spot, but OK kind. No water in summer, but flourishes during the rains. No guards found nearby or on the way. Due to this the place has become filthy with food waste, plastic waste and even human waste. No proper parking space. Once you park your car, you have to go reverse for about 200 meters as other cars also will be parked on the same roadside.

Visiting this place would be really a good experience, walking through nature's beauty and enjoying the birds singings. Water fall is almost 15 min walk away from road, can park your vehicle on the side and walk into. Nice view, good water, walk way can be maintained well. Take care while walk over the rock, might be slipping. Lot of trees, soothing wind, little adventurous. The authorities can pay little more attention to such nice places and attract more tourists to these kind of places.

A beautiful temple on top of a hill devoted to Lord Murugan. There is ample car parking space. It is pretty calm and quiet on or before 9am and then it gets pretty crowded really soon. There are a number of decent eateries and shops to buy knick knacks or local chocolates. A must place to visit.

One of the most famous temple in Kodeekanal. The temple and it's surrounding is neat and clean and well maintained. From the top of the hill you can view the whole town of kodeekanal. Lot of gift items, chocolate can be purchased from the shops near to temple. Car parking space is very less. Very those who are visiting kodeekanal must visit this temple. What ever you wish to happen in your life then come and pray here it will surly comes to you soon.

Kurinji Andavar Temple is devoted to Sri Subramnyam Swami also called as Sri Murugan Swami in Tamil Nadu and Sri Kartikeya in North India. The temple is calm and peaceful. The main deity here is Lord Murugan Swami, along with Murugan Swami it also has a small vigraha of Lord Ganesha and Navagraha. This is an ancient and powerful temple. One should certainly visit this temple. Palani hill view is just behind the temple where you can have a view of Palani hills.

My most fav place in Kodaikanal . A very beautiful and ritual place. This is the only place in Kodaikanal which has KURUNJI PLANT…..which blooms once in 12 years . Next bloom in 2030.

The temple is just 5min walk from Chettiar park. Parking is available in front of temple. No dress code. The place is very calm and peaceful. The temple is dedicated to lord Murugan. The compund have Kurinji plants which blooms in every 12 years, hence the temple got the name as Kurinji Andavar. Outside the temple, on the left side, there is a walkway which have a great view of Palani mountain. There are many antique shops, Chocalate shops etc near the temple. This place is highly recommended.

A small but beautiful murugan temple - well maintained, neat and clean.We went early in the morning at opening time and witnessed abhishekam for Murugan possibly by a devotee family. It's a bit far off from the town. It was calm and peaceful at least at that time. There is a path around with a railing like a view point from which you can supposedly see Palani. At that time however we couldn't see it due to fog though it was quite sunny even that early in the morning - in fact blinding if you were facing east. Although we couldn't see Palani hill, the view of the landscape was beautiful.

This temple is very clean and cool. Excellent dharsan of lord Murugaa. This temple connects the backstory of kurinji flower which blossoms 12 years once. We can feel the chillness in this place as it is located over the valley. The rest rooms are not functioning so please plan accordingly. Drinking water installed inside of the premises.

This temple is not just any other abode of worship, it has a rich historical past. It was constructed in 1936 by Lady Leelavathi Ramanathan, an Australian who married the Solicitor General of Ceylon called PonnambalamRamanatham. Hindu scriptures inspired her so much that she converted into a Hindu, and after her husband died, she built this temple commemorating his memory.

Just splendid. The lake is simply stunning. They have boating facility also. You can also find bicycles to rent to go around the lake. Trust me one of the best thing to do is to rent a bicycle and go around the lake. You will get scenic views of the lake all around. Also you will find beautiful homes around the lake. But beware of the cars and bikes that also use this road. Else you can merrily wander around the lake road. It will span around 2 kms iirc. Allot around 1hour for this. You will also find shacks selling chocolates and sweaters. The chocolates are damn good for the price paid. Few shops also ship the chocolates to your place if you order through phone.

The market around the lake is also very reasonable and good. You can also rent a bicycle here to get around and it's pretty fun. Don't forget to buy homemade chocolates if you visit here.

You can get a lot of snacks from local vendors in and around. The car can be parked a few meters away from lake at municipal parking ground. The ticket price for person is 75/-.

This is one of the best places in Kodaikanal. I started my trip to Kodaikanal with this lake and summited with the lake only. The lake is so huge and has a local market and food stalls on the street surrounding the lake. You can spend hours here admiring the beauty around you. A beautiful man made lake set in the middle of Kodaikanal is the biggest attraction in the town. You have several activities that you can try in and around the lake. 1. Boating 2. Shopping for clothes and souvenirs 3. Bryant Park 4. Coaker's walk 5. Cycling 6. Horse riding 7. Snacking in the various food stalls or simply stroll around the periphery of the lake. A cycle ride around the lake will take a good 30-45 minutes depending on your stamina. The new water fountain installed in the middle of the lake has added more grandeur to the set.

The lake is really beautiful and clean. Most of the time it is foggy no you can see the clear view but once the sky becomes clear, the view is awesome. We did boating on the lake and it was really good. Paid 250 Rupees for 30 minutes of paddle boating for 4 people, so boating is also not that expensive.

The lake is maintained well but the periphery roads are of one way which is good for the commuters... However, property signboards can be erected for good understanding of the public...

Kodaikanal lake is a beautiful destination that is worth visiting. I have been to Kodaikanal multiple times but i never miss this lake, cycling and boating ect. It is a great place to relax, walk and enjoy the scenery, and there are a wide varieties of activities to keep you entertained.

It's huge... 6km lake.. At every corner Boats are available.. The best experience is in the evening as compared to the afternoon.. Both 2 and 4 seater paddle boats are available at a decent price around Rs 300.. Row boat available at Rs 400... Awesome view n scenic...

You have to walk through a market like street to reach the view point. The view point has a deep green valley. The view is mostly not visible in winter time as it is covered with mist and clouds. It looks like an open prison as there are huge steel bars which were kept as a preventive measures to protect people from falling down accidentally or doing suicide. This place was previously called as suicide point as it was a place were many people would suicide, now it has been renamed to green valley. There are lot of monkeys 🐒 in this place and be careful with your belongings from steelers and monkey. Some monkeys are even drinking red bull which was funny and surprise to see.

Green Valley Viewpoint in Kodaikanal provides a mesmerizing experience with its lush surroundings and deep valleys. The sight of the mist-covered hills is truly enchanting. It might be helpful to check weather forecasts or visit during clearer times for a better chance to enjoy the stunning views.

Beautiful view point, mesmerising views. Car parking is available right up front, along with the Kodaikanal golf club, and other miscellaneous shops. This place was famous as 'suicide point' but not all the edges have been heavily guarded and secured.

Good to see that suicide point is renamed as green valley view point. Since we arrived at 7:30 pm all the shops were closed. The view point will be awesome if you visit during the day. The slope will be very deep and narrow down but protected with a fence for public safety. Be careful as there will be more monkeys who will be waiting to snatch your food in the hand.

Green valley view also called suicide point in kodai is Surrounded by full of hungry monkeys. There are shops like ice creams, clothes, chocos, ornaments etc which you can find on the way. One of the deep valleys with mesmorizing view of 5000 feet depth. Dont ever take any eatable items if you are going to this place. It will pull you and snatch whatever you show outside. See one of my attached video, it pulled my icecream and started enjoying the taste :-)

The green valley point has its Best serene view. You can view completely only when the sky is clear. You have to park the vehicle at the entrance. Lot of eatery items available outside. Get them and have it outside before you enter as there are lot of mischievous monkeys are there. On the walk pavement, lot of keychain shops, spices and chocolates shops are available.

We had our breakfast at cloud Street. They have a pretty big seating area decorated nicely. We ordered a chicken sandwich and scrambled eggs with Bread. The quality of food was great, but only one thing, the portion sizes could have been better. Specially when you consider the price.

The pizza was okay-ish. The service was fine. The vibe is nice and has an antique feel to it.

This is a cute cafe in kodai! Though the prices are quite high - for the obvious reasons mentioned on the menu, the quality of food can be improved! We had pizza , cold bru mocha and a creamy mushroom soup. Mocha and pizza could have been better - pizza lacked the wow factor and Mocha was a little too watery! We would just go back for the ambience and relax with a hot beverage!

I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The fire place in the corner was nice to sit next to after being out in the chilly November weather. I ordered potato soup, pizza and a brownie. The brownie came out first which I thought was strange since that’s a dessert item and meant to be eaten after the meal but it tasted great! The “potato” soup came out next. The taste was pretty good but it had no potato in it at all. It seemed like just a simple soup made with milk, flour, salt and pepper. Sorry to say the pizza was not good. If I’m in the area again, I wouldn’t mind coming back to just have a coffee and a brownie just so I can enjoy the fireplace again.

Lovely ambiance, food place to sit and work. Food is really worth every bite, bit pricey but when you are in a group don’t feel it. Hot chocolate was disappointing. Rest pie , super thin crust pizza, spinach lasagna everything was delicious.

Nice homely and pet friendly place which you can enjoy with your family. Located on the first floor this nice family owned place is a delightful stopover during your city visit. We ordered a wood fired pizza which was delicious. The coffee was also yummy. As a really nice and sweet gesture, The establishment offered us complimentary fudge brownies which were to die for. Soft, melt in your mouth types, these heavenly goodness were just amazing. A must order item on the menu and a surety for us the next time we visit the city. Highly recommended

It's a nice spot for wood-fired pizza. The apartment is well-kept, and there is a fire pit in the corner, which I assume will be lit during the evening hours. The pizza was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I heard a lot about this place regarding their fresh and tasty bakery items. So, I stopped at this place just before leaving Kodaikanal.The time I visited the place, they had just some cakes left. Most of their stuff gets finished pretty soon. I really loved their cakes though as they were quite soft and fluffy. The slice of a cake cost some 20 bucks.

One of the famous bakeries in Kodaikanal. They serve different types of pasteries, cakes, muffins, cookies etc. They are really fresh and delicious. They open at 10:30am in the morning and gets crowded right from that time. They also serve fresh yummy ice cream. It's a must try. Localities suggested us to try cream bun and it was really good.

The most interesting cafe I've ever been to in my life. In two days I tried everything on their menu. In thr heart of Kodaikanal is this beautiful cafe serving the best coffee you'll have in the city. Their pear cake, the masala croissant and the veg sandwich are a must try. Also you must get there in time as it's always packed and bustling and they run out soon. But it's worth every second of your time and every penny from your pocket.

This is very good cake and pastry shop. The behaviour of the all staffs here are excellent. Specially the little girl ( I don't know the name ) is very sweet in behaviour. The taste of cake, coffee, tea are excellent.

Had coffee here and it was good. They serve only limited quantities in a particular time. I personally feel that this place is simply overrated and people queue up just for a cup of coffee and some bread. Highly crowded during peak hours.

This place provides limited but tastiest baked goodies. It's crowded all the time it's open. The opening time is between 10am to 12pm and again from 4pm to 6pm. Fresh baked cupcake, brownies, sweet bun, pizza , plum cake is must have. I liked their brownies and pizza the most. Cupcakes and brownies will stay fresh for upto 3 days but everything else needs to be eaten on the same day.

The best bakery ever. The opening time is around 10:30a.m. and it gets crowded the moment the shop is opened. They have different varieties of pastries. The butter bun is a must try!! The taste is just aweeee😍. Other than that, the cakes are good. Pizza was okay. Muffins were good. The price is fair and it is worth the price.

Location : this small pastry shop is in main road just opposite to Bryant park road. Place : I was very much fascinated to go for this pastry shop as this was must in list of must eat in kodaikanal. The shops opens at 10am but services start from 10:30 , but one big problem is you should stand in crowd for 1/2-1hr fighting with all people to get your chance . This was very difficult, disappointing for me as I had to struggle a lot to get my order they can atleast have token or que system else it will be damn difficult. So next is I tried almost all the products of pastry corner like cream buns , pastry cakes , pizza slice , cookies , sadly it’s just hype people created made me eat this else it’s just normal regular backery and I liked cream bun alone rest all where ok ok . The prices were affordable and quantity was good enough as per price. If your in kodaikanal or planning to visit i suggest this place only if you have time you can try once else it’s ok no harm , avoid going week ends because trust me i stood from 9:30am to 10:30am and got my ordering chance somewhere around 11:15am because people just simple barge in and damn difficult to keep shouting to place order. The shop will serve from 10:30am to 1pm and evening 4pm -6pm. You may have trouble with parking as we should park our vehicles in main road and the road is always busy. Overall 3/5 experience and average 100-200 per person is enough.

Best place to have authentic North Indian food in KodaiKanal. They have small shop but it is very neat and clean. It can accommodate 25 to 30 people easily. We went 12 people and each one of us ordered different items. All the items are delicious and finger licking test. I would recommend every nother indian people going to KodaiKanal visit this restaurant and try its food once and decide. Adding few click I captured in restaurant. Sorry for half chapati 😅 food was looking so good that we can't forgot to capture pics and directly started eating it.

During our 3-day Kodaikanal trip, when we were craving some North Indian cuisines, we searched on Google, found out about Tava Veg Restaurant and went there to have our dinner. What We Ordered: Daal Makhni GheeRoti/Ghee Chapati Paneer Masala Veg Fried Rice Staff Behavior: Really good. The uncle, who attended the tables and the chap, who was running the place, were cool and helpful. Everyone was coordinating with each other to serve the customers at their best capacity, which I liked. There was a huge queue there when we arrived, but they made sure we get our table when our turn came, pretty fast. Food, Taste & Pricing: Food was good, freshly made and served hot! Being from Bengal where we have Dhaba food from Sher-e-Punjab, the taste was good. Compared to the quantity, for some items, the prices may seem a bit on the higher side. (But isn't everything pricey at tourist places?) Do I suggest this place? Yes, I do, if you are tired of tasting South Indian dishes and visiting the over-priced cafes there, then Tava Veg Restaurant is where you need to head to! When touring South India, especially a Dosa-Idly-Biriyani-focused tourist place like Kodaikanal, this place can be a real charm to taste some North Indian dishes.

It's a very small outlet but great place for north indian food. Whatever we tried is really amazing especially the gobi parantha. We tried gobhi parantha, aloo parantha, chocolate milkshake, pav bhaji , mutter paneer . Mutter Paneer was good but ginger was very perdominent but other than that everything was really good. Must try whenever you are in kodaikanal

Trust me this place might look small but serves authentic fresh food which feelsso homely a cute aunty was preparing food here Their kitchen is visible from outside its so neat. Visited here almost everyday whilst we stayed in Kodai. Delicious, fresh food and lovely staff. I can't recommend it enough! Been open since 1988 and is run by the same family. Palak paneer and paneer makhani were delicious, as well as aloo paratha. Definitely should stop by when you are in the area!

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Kodaikanal that serves amazing vegetarian food. I've visited this place since I was a child. The good quality and service is just the samem Very friendly staff and service is prompt once you get a table. Their shrikhand is fabulous, boondi raita is yumm and parathas are piping hot and tasty, not on the menu but ask for the aloo paneer paratha, it's sooo good. Pav bhaji is delicious and so light on the stomach. We tried their hot chocolate too and probably one of the best we have had in Kodaikanal. I would definitely recommend this place.

I would say, choosing Tava Vegetarian for our Dinner at Kodaikanal was one of the finest decisions that we had made during our Stay at this Hill Top City. Best Tibetan food in kodai, felt very local. We ordered chicken noodle soup, beef momos and chicken fried rice. Momos were so big and tasty. Service was good and parking is a issue for people who come with cars

Restaurant is good and in nice ambience of Tibet. Rates are costly compared to other restaurants. The dishes are good but not so excellent. We can get better Momos for cheaper rate even in some other restaurants. So definitely this is not the best shop for Momos. Just a decent one to give a try. Service is good. Friendly persons. Varieties are good but costly. Can try once. Soup was really good and Chicken Noodles tastes too good.

Authentic Tibetan restaurant. Momo plater is good. But Fried rice contain lot of cabage and onion. Beef roast and chicken garlic was below average taste.

Okey okey place...opens at 5:30.. The menu doesn't have most items available .Did not have tingmo thenthuk.. We tried the chicken fried momos and the chicken wonton soup noodles .was alright but nothing great...there are other tibetan restaurants..better try those Tibet brothers and Tibet kitchen are way better and cheaper than this . Try it just if no one of these are open.

Had high hopes for this place after looking at all the reviews, but didn't enjoy the food at all. Ordered Veg Steamed momos, veg noodles and lime juice. 1. There was no salt inside the momos. I didn't like the taste at all. 2. Noodles were okayish. 3. Lime juice was good. There's another Tibetan restaurant just before this, on the ground floor. Seems like a decent place, planning to try that next.

We visited there to experience authentic tibetan cuisine and we experienced same as we expected. Every food we ordered is very good and tasty and worth to wait for the seat. If you want to experience authentic tibetan style food in kodaikanal you definitely want to visit this place. We ordered chicken, mixed and beef chowmien, tibetan bread and chilly beef curry and two types of soup and beef and chicken steam momo all are very good and tasty. We had one of the best experience in kodaikanal in terms of having lunch.

I visited this place during my Kodaikanal Trip and had some fried veg cheese momos. 8 pieces were served on a plate with a couple of chutneys. I loved the momos with traditional momo chutney. There was a considerable amount of cheese inside it and they were made very well. The service was pretty fast and quick. The ambiance is very average though - nothing special about it.

My partner was so much excited to visit this place, last time when we came here due to our other plans we had to leave the place in hassle. We prepaid and reserved a table for us, we absolutely enjoyed the whole dining experience. Be it the food or the service everything at this place is done with so much perfection. We loved their signature dishes and it was worth all the excitement my partner had for this place. It was a very lively place and we also got some new friends in this place.

We enjoyed absolutely delicious food at Nia’s treat. The ambiance was very warm and the people were very welcoming. We appreciate the quick service from the team and the attention to detail they follow. We had prebooked with them and everything was organized well for our lunch. The menu had very unique and some mouth-watering desserts. I ate a few dishes of their Korean cuisine, great flavors. They also maintain good hygiene and cleanliness at Nia’s treat. We enjoyed a yummy meal here.

Small but good place with a great host. The food quality is ok, i won't call it great. The cake we took was a bit smelly, may be not fresh. Roll and sandwich were good. The host has a good conversation with you and guide you about local things. Worth a visit, if you happen to be arond KK.

Located around the corner and down the hill from the International School is Nia's Treats on the right hand side. It's a small place with 4 or 5 tables inside and one small one out front. Good food, deserts, coffee and teas. Great WiFi and friendly wait staff and they speak English.
