Theme park
Harvest Hill is a picturesque farm park that offers interactive experiences, a petting zoo, and an exhilarating grass slide. It also features several cafes and shops for visitors to explore. The park provides nursing and changing facilities, ample parking space, and allows picnicking with your own food. All activities are outdoor-centered; thus, visitors should be prepared to do a considerable amount of walking. Additionally, the nearby JA Market sells fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as groceries.
We went here to visit Sullivan Park and it was soooo worth it. Both my daughters and I grew up playing with calico critters which is what they are called in the US and it was so cool to go into the life size houses. To be a kid again. There were other things for small children to enjoy as well if you have little ones.

A must with kids to spend the day. Nursing and changing facilities are available. Large parking lot and quite a few of cafeterias/cafes to choose from. Picnicking is allowed as well for those who prefer to bring their own food. Be prepared to do a fair amount of walking! All activities are outdoors.

If you love Sylvania, you will love this place. I will let you know you have to pay to get into the park, then pay to get on any of the rides and pay to get into the Sylvania, not cheap

Great place to go with kids. Now they are holding dinosaurs event. It is scary for kindergarten kids, but a bit boring for elementary school kids.. This is really wide place, you can find lots of animal event and attractions. There is a bus to the nearest station, but car will be better choice to come.

Went during mid October and weather was sunny. This place can get rather hot with the sunny weather and lots of walking. But I suspect it will also get pretty chilly if it was raining as this was what I experienced with Mother Farm in Tokyo (damn cold!). Attractions are opened but not all restaurants were opened when we were there midweek. Note that if you use google map, it sometimes shows several train stations for the connection to the last mile bus journey and some of the recommended stations may not be the ideal one. Take the local train to Izumigaoka Station (also recommended by google). Once there, take the south exit and walk straight until you see bus stop #6 which has a sign that says Harvest Hill. 3 stops from here to reach harvest hill and less than 100m after alighting to reach harvest hill entrance. Do note the timing of the bus returning to the train station from the harvest hill bus stop - there is a signboard there.

Family friendly park which would be great for families or couples, flowers are seasonal (I went in February) so make sure to plan ahead if you’re there for flowers. But there are also many other attractions to do and see. I really love animals so that was the main attraction for me but there is also mini go karting, hill sliding, duck boats and several other activities. A lot of small shops around the park for souvenirs, food & beverage. Definitely a nice place to go with family and children.

Nice park but too expensive for a day visit. The entrance price is 1,000 yen for adults and 600 yen up to JH school students but that's just to enter, you have to pay extra for everything else it can become very expensive very quickly if you are a family of 4 or 5. World Ranch is better value for money. A yearly ticket is good value for money, I know people who have 1 and go there on a regular basis. The restaurants are nice with a great variety. There is an Italian, BBQ, German and others in there food court.

Staff are friendly. Animals are kept very clean. You can see capybara in the farm! The strawberry farm all you can eat is definitely worth 2200yen per person!

Pretty fun place for your family and kids to visit! Just be prepared to walk a lot since the park is really big!

Went there during golden week, price of the tickets went up. Overall the crowd was still manageable, lots of kids and families. Rides and activities are paid separately.

Sefuku-ji

Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks

Sefukuji is a serene and stunning Buddhist temple that dates back to the 6th century AD. The temple is nestled in a forest region, and visitors need to take an uphill walk through the woods to reach it. This climb can be challenging, but it's worth every step as the natural beauty around the temple is breathtaking. Sefukuji is considered one of the steepest places among Saigoku's 33 sites.
Very beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Buddha, full of natural beauty around the temple...

(Translated by Google) Surprisingly, a lot of people were visiting, probably because it was the first day of the three consecutive holidays in February of Corona. The parking lot on the way back was full. As you say, it was a big challenge. From the beginning, the slope was steep, and as I walked deeper, sparse stone steps continued, and the road width became narrower, which was tough. I tried my best and walked for about 30 minutes, but it was hard 😱 After paying ¥ 500 in the precincts, I was able to see the magnificent Kannon. It is a big loss to try hard to climb and stingy 🥺 The bell sword hall was behind, but it was off limits. Mr. Benzaiten and Mr. Mifudo were near the entrance. Benzaiten's Taki didn't have enough water, but not seeing it would be a loss, so be sure to check it out! ️I think it's better to go.

The Saigoku 33 Temple Tour has a history of about 1,300 years, so the access means are well-maintained, making it easy for anyone to visit. increase. That's because "the temple is in the mountains and the road is not maintained". After changing trains and buses, I managed to arrive at the terminal, but suddenly I was in the middle of the mountains. Just. It's so refreshing there~🌈 Amidst the chirping of birds and the murmuring of a brook, I climbed the mountain earnestly. Seasonal flowers are blooming Physically, it's tough, but when you breathe in the clean air, it's wrapped in a mysterious "comfort"... "Refreshing~!!" "Soothing~!!" While I was drenched in sweat, looking up and looking to the side, I arrived at “Sefukuji Temple”! The main hall that I arrived at while wheezing was very beautiful. Did you carry all these materials on your back? Unimaginable😱. It used to be a hidden Buddha, but now it can be worshiped all year round. As an added bonus, you are allowed to take pictures... Please take more pictures! That's what I'm talking about. It is a generous response. The main object of worship is Maitreya Bodhisattva, a Buddha who will appear to save us 5.67 billion years from now. In order for Miroku Bodhisattva to "save the lost commoners", he has a "splasher" in his hand! "Huge!" that does not match the size of the main hall ... "Halo" seems to be attached to the ceiling. And the "Hougai Kannon" here is also "super huge". The drum on the left and the 1.8 liter bottle in the foreground look small. This "Old Buddha", which is large enough to look up, is in the state of "nothing to separate it" such as "glass enclosure" or "fence". In addition, there are a lot of "copying sutras" in front of Buddha 😮😮😮 It is said that it is a system where you can write "sutras" at home "in front of your favorite Buddha" and "pay them yourself" 😝 In front of various Buddhas, there was a "mountain of copying sutras". By the way, I was told about this at "Kanshin-ji Temple", but it's called "Goshuin" when you pay the sutras to the temple and receive the "burning fee" and the stamp "I've certainly paid it to the temple!" "Thing. “The original meaning is gone though~” When paying sutras at Sefuku-ji, please make your own judgment and pay the money! There is a road leading up to the parking lot that makes it difficult to pass each other by car, so I think it would be better to check where you will pass each other before proceeding. Parking is free. After parking in the parking lot, climb a relatively steep slope and stairs until you see the gate of the temple. There are many people who are already tired at that point. It takes about 30 minutes or so from there. Light clothing is fine, but it is recommended that you wear shoes appropriate for your trekking level. Some people were using poles for both climbing and descending mountains. There are benches along the way, but there are no restrooms. There was a bio-toilet in the temple. I saw many people near the top who were exhausted, so water and towels are essential. We recommend going during the cooler months. Entrance fee is 500 yen, and 500 yen to visit the principal image. After paying the entrance fee (500 yen) in front of the main gate and climbing the mountain with Enyakora, the main hall Todou will appear. I don't think there was any particular feeling of wow lol. There is a smoking area in front of the main hall. You can enter the main hall, but there is an admission fee (500 yen). However, it was difficult to know where to pay. I myself ended up going in with a line of people who were coming in groups without even realizing that there was an admission fee in the first place. When I was giving sutras, an old lady suggested that I look inside the temple, and when I said, ``I've already seen it,'' she scolded me and said, ``You have to pay an admission fee.'' Of course, I also paid the admission fee along with the payment. It may be easier to understand if there is no group, but please be careful when meeting with a group. (Translated by Google) I visited the shrine on a pilgrimage to Saigoku. We left in time for the temple to open at 8 a.m. As we approached the temple, there was a narrow road that was a little difficult to separate from, so on the road that was under construction, we detoured around the parking lot on the left and went to the farthest parking lot. I got it The owner of the souvenir shop? He just came to work and asked me to walk for about 30 minutes. You can start by paying the entrance fee at the mountain entrance reception. I was aware of previous information that Sefukuji Temple was a difficult place, but I could see an incredible road in front of me and it was a bad weather day with rain on and off, so I was disappointed that I came on this day. I got it Fortunately, the rain had stopped by the time I started climbing, so I climbed hard, using the long umbrella in my hand as a walking stick. After completing the first long stone staircase, a rickety hiking course begins, and I wonder how long it will last. not yet? Is this the path of life with its ups and downs? It's amazing that a temple could be built in such a place... There were no cranes or heavy machinery in ancient times... I'm really thinking about a lot of things, but I still haven't seen my husband walking in front of me from time to time. Can't you see the roof? I talked to... My husband was also concerned about his clumsy wife, who often stumbled while looking back. I was prepared for this steep road to continue on and on, so when I climbed the last set of stairs and caught a glimpse of what looked like the shrine grounds, I thought, ``Huh?'' Have you arrived yet? It felt surprisingly short. After taking a breather, I headed to the opposite side of the temple from where I could see the expansive view, thinking I could pray, but unfortunately due to the weather, all I could see was a pure white landscape due to the mist. When I regained my composure and went to the Buddhist temple, the person greeted me and said that I had visited the shrine often, and told me that it was my first time visiting the shrine. Can you visit Bato Kannon? Would you like to come inside while I take care of your Shuincho? I paid the entrance fee and went inside the temple as recommended. I really admired the parade of the Bato Kannon with a horse on his head, the eleven-faced thousand-armed Kanzeon Bodhisattva, the principal image of the Saigoku Temple, the Maitreya Bodhisattva, and the Hogai Kannon, all of which I was grateful for. There was an explanation that Bato Kannon was said to be beneficial for the legs and hips, so I made a lot of requests. Inside the temple, there was a dizzying array of attractions, and I was asked to feel free to take photos, so I didn't hesitate to take photos. I slowly walked around the hall and returned to the Nokyo-sho, where I saw that the goshuin stamps had all been completed. I went to the bio-toilet, a mountain hut-style toilet, to wash my hands before going down the mountain, but there was a sign saying that it would take time to dispose of the waste, and only one of the three toilets could be used. did When the two of us opened the door to take turns to relieve ourselves, we saw the toilet for the first time... It seems to be a pump type, but at the same time as the door opened, I suddenly saw the area under the toilet move, and something was moving! Maybe it's a strange creature? ! I was really scared, but I didn't go to the bathroom for about 3 hours from home to Sefukuji Temple, so I couldn't change my stomach! I took the plunge and relieved myself. I stuck my husband in front of the door (lol) I fully understand that the toilet situation is not good since it's on top of a mountain, but it was still scary... My husband, who has a weak stomach, went into the bathroom, muttering, "I'm leaving! I'm leaving now!" I finished my business without any hesitation and came out of the scary toilet feeling refreshed. I'm sorry to say it's a scary toilet, but if you don't like that type of toilet, I think it's best to finish your business at the foot of the mountain before visiting. I haven't rented the toilet at the foot of the mountain, so I don't know what the toilet situation is...I'm sorry. After saying hello to the person at Nokyojo, I headed down the mountain. On the way, a man came up and greeted me. Will I come to this temple again? I don't have the confidence to do it the second time. The journey home was filled with relaxed conversation. After visiting Sefukuji Temple, I said that I was no longer afraid of the temples that followed, but I also thought that Sefukuji Temple was a steep road and the toilet might be the most difficult part for me. I was grateful that I was able to return to the parking lot without any injuries or accidents despite the bad weather, and headed on to the next temple, Kazuidera Temple. thank you (Original)

You have to go up a steep hill about 1 km from the parking lot, and the temple has been a place of disaster ever since Daigoji Temple's Jundai Hall was destroyed by lightning. It takes about 30 minutes and will make you sweat even in winter. It's a relief to see a mountain gate on the way, but there are still steep stairs in the beginning. The Sanmon gate was rebuilt 400 years ago by Toyotomi Hideyori. The principal image is Maitreya Nyorai, but the principal image at the temple is the Eleven-faced Thousand-Armed Kannon. However, as expected, it is the most difficult hurdle. From the Sanmon gate to the main hall, it's all uphill, stairs, stairs, stairs, stairs. lol I met some elderly people, and they were nice and gutsy✨ If you have trouble walking, I think it would be better to climb slowly and take about an hour. Sneakers or hiking shoes are required. And inside the main hall! ! There is an admission fee in addition to the entrance fee, but it was truly amazing ✨✨✨ Do your best and climb up to get the answer! ! Even though the main hall is not that big, it is definitely worth seeing. If there was a ropeway, if there was a ropeway (←I wrote it twice because it's important.LOL), it was a temple I would like to visit again and again. If you read old blogs or other sources, it is written that Prefectural Route 228 (Makioyama Butsu Line) is a dead end, but the entire line has already been opened. It was a pleasant drive with gentle curves and no traffic lights. The road up to where it intersects with the old road along the Makio River is in good condition and was very easy to drive. The road ahead was a mountain road with few sharp curves, but there were many places where it was impossible to pass oncoming cars, so I was nervous as I drove. The parking lot at Sefukuji Temple is free, but hikers are not allowed to park there. There is a free restroom next to the store, but it's an old-fashioned, Japanese-style toilet, and it doesn't flush, so it's quite hard. The restrooms near the main hall are similar, so I highly recommend you do it before then. Once you pass this store, there are no drink vending machines, toilets, or trash cans. You can use canes here and at Sanmon for free. Before heading to the main hall, Fudo-sama and Mangan-no-taki Benten are enshrined on the right. We were able to see the waterfall up close. The entrance fee to the main hall is separate from the entrance fee, but you can get up close and admire the many impressive Buddha statues. And thankfully, it's OK to take pictures. If you leave your goshuin book with them, they will finish it for you while you are visiting. The people at the temple treat you very politely. I am grateful to everyone for their kind words of appreciation, saying that it must have been difficult. There was a bench in front of the main hall, and the view was excellent. I ate a light rice ball, rehydrated, took my trash home, and headed back down the mountain. From Senboku Route 1, I went from the Murodocho north intersection via Route 480 to the intersection with Route 170 and Makio Junior High School South. This road is a traditional winding, narrow road, so it is easier to drive by taking the Senboku Loop Line (Route 208) from Komyoike and then turning onto Route 480 at the Welcia intersection. The Izumi Recycle Environment Park is a green space that has been developed on top of a landfill. It features various amenities such as sports courts, a flower farm, and upcycled equipment. The area is home to different flowers every month with sunflowers in July and August and cosmos in September. Visitors can also enjoy ice cream, smoothies, and vending machines if they need refreshments during their visit.
I mean I love this place . Must visit . No bus will go you have to go by taxi or by your own car 🚗 . Monday will be closed. Free parking . No entry fees. Vending machine available . Photogenic spot. Saturday Sunday vegetable day but you can still enjoy scenes of flowers

I visited this place when the sunflowers blooming—but sadly I couldn't get the right timing (because many sunflowers petals already withered). The field itself has different monthly flowers that they grow—in e.g. for july-august they grow sunflowers and for september they'll grow cosmos. I think I will visit here again on the right timing later. The place is not far from the city and there are also ice cream, smoothies, and vending machines so you don't need to worry about getting any beverage if you feel thirsty.

(Translated by Google) It was a facility where you can learn about life and customs during the Yayoi period. The quantity and quality of the exhibits are high. In connection with agriculture, unevenness and kuni were formed, and it seems that wars were occurring frequently due to the difference between rich and poor and the difference in power. I noticed that it is not much different from modern society. There is an exhibition of Himiko, which is a reproduction of life at that time. In addition, there were many video materials and the number of visitors was small at the time of the visit, so I was able to watch them carefully. I was surprised that Yayoi people had a much more global perspective than modern people because of the large scale of people's lives and exchanges with the continent. It was a very good museum. On the other hand, I don't think the structure of the museum itself is that great. I think the best part of museums is that the exhibits and explanations match, so from that point of view I was disappointed. For me, it is difficult to see the flow of the Yayoi period. In times like these, there are so many unknowns, so it can't be helped. Apparently it's free for elementary school students and younger. There were historical manga books in the lobby. Even just a quick tour of the ruins, including the actual ruins, detailed replicas, restored buildings and costumes, models and imaginary drawings, brought to mind what it was like back then. I am humbled by the people involved who have spent decades amassing knowledge, connecting the dots. By the way, since it is an Osaka prefectural facility, the ``Yamataikoku Kinai theory'' is highly recommended. There is an exhibition of old maps, and it's fun to see Osaka (Osaka) and Saccai (Sakai) listed on maps from the 17th and 18th centuries. I was also taken aback by the sudden appearance of first-class paintings by artists such as Renoir. The parking lot is large and you can park as much as you like for free, but if you are going by bus from Izumi Chuo, please be careful as there are few buses.
