A must visit place if you enjoy seafood! Extremely affordable and great variety. Upon entering, the waiter will bring you to an area where there's a massive menu on the wall. You can then choose which dish you'll like and choose the seafood you wish to have that dish with. The best part is, you get to choose how many grams of each dish you like and the prices per kilo are already stated there so you don't have to worry about being ripped off. Once you've finished ordering, they'll bring you to your seats and you can wait for your delicious meal. I don't recommend getting coconut as it isn't served cold and was not sweet. Their ice lemon tea was great and refreshing though! We were really surprise when we ordered the salted egg crab and one crab (500g), only cost $15! One downside was, the lala was disappointing. The shell was huge but the meat was tiny. After finishing the entire dish, we felt like we barely ate any lala. The flesh was very underwhelming. We also tried the cereal prawn but we tried mantis prawn. Not our type of prawn so will stick to regular prawn in the future. Will definitely come back in the future!

Affordable seafood, and quality of food was fresh. Placed our orders by heading to the wet area where the seafood was and the staff can advise which items were in season and not in season. Prices were also displayed per 100g for your consideration.

It's a rustic restaurant build over a the water with a very nice kampong feel. It event has a stage, and allow the customers to sing karaoke during dinner. Food is nice (maybe I am spoilt with too many good food, so I give it only 3 stars), considering I am here on a company event with over 200 people, the service is fast and the food is nicely cook. For affordable and pricing of fresh live seafood, you won't go wrong at Golden Prawn. Staff are efficient and friendly. We ordered whole table of dishes and struggled to finish. And the bill was 1,12mil Rp.

Went here for lunch on a Sunday during a long weekend marking end of Ramadan. Not too crowded. Available sea food were: variety of small and big fishes, prawns, tiger prawn, clams, mussels, sea snails, lobsters, crabs, etc. You can pick fresh seafood and weigh on the spot before they cook in the kitchen. Also got some vegetable dishes. Nice restaurant to try out the local seafood. But the food taste not too special. Price is definitely cheaper compared to those in Singapore.

Very very delicious and worth the money. We reached at about 6pm+ and although there were many people, we didn’t have to wait for seats. The view on the decks is great and you can enjoy the sea breeze. Food came fast and it was all very delicious. We ordered a big crab, prawns, sambal kangkong (huge serving) and tofu for only 629k including taxes. The only downside was the coconut was sour and not chilled.

I had a great experience here having seafood lunch with friends through a packaged tour. Food was tasty, service was good and the atmosphere was overall nice. The toilet could be given more care and the wall fans could have been adjusted better to cover everyone in the table. Hence 4* from me.

Golden Prawn 933 had been one of my favourite seafood restaurant every time I go Batam because of the price and atmosphere. The place is extremely huge that you definitely will find a place to be seated without waiting. I paid around RP 400,000 for a 1 KG Grouper and a 700G Lobster with a few additional dishes for 2, which the portion can be easily consumed for 3. However, the food standards had dropped by a little after COVID which made me award a 4-stars rating for the food itself instead of 5, even though I could say they are extremely fresh. The rest of the aspect such as service, atmosphere and even the value of it are extremely noteworthy.

Place is quite accessible with huge carpark. You can choose the seafood before making way to sit inside the restaurant. Place is huge and plenty of tables. Seafood varieties are alot but really depends on your budget. I had 1 hongkong style steam red snapper fish, 2 crabs in butter garlic, 4 mantis shrimp using salt and pepper style, 1 ayam goreng small, 1 sambal kang kong medium and 1 hot plate egg tofu medium. On top, has 2 bottles of beer and 2 coconuts. The otak otak need to order from another person. Total cost 1.4million rupiah. To me price is okay as the seafood are live. The only problem is there are alot of mosquitoes which is super annoying.

Despite a Long wait for food and probably due to huge restaurants during the peak hour. It is worth you a visit to try the fresh seafood. Our food stopped half way as they forgot to cook.. ?? The manager is helpful to make sure we have our food. I highly recommend pepper crab with smaller mud crab like 500g to 700g as it was tasty ! Just nice to consume.. the mantis rather disappointing as the meat is soggy and not bouncy even we ordered it steamed. The fried spicy clam is highly recommended! Sea snail is fresh and can eat it without any sauce.. the fried squid in salted egg is very mediocre.. lovely place and will come back again! All come with reasonable price..

Food is decent. - Black pepper Crab came missing 4 of the legs, feedback and they gave us a new plate of crab :). Taste wise black pepper is good. Crab meat slightly mushy but still fresh. - Salted egg sotong was pretty good. - Fried egg with onion is normal. Price is great. Atmosphere is pretty enjoyable, seaside view. Awesome for sunset.

Attention to all in singaporean I strongly advise not to visit this seafood restaurant for dinner! The quality of the food is disappointingly below average, accompanied by exorbitant prices. Moreover, the staff members lack proficiency in English, and to make matters worse, the menu lacks prices, necessitating inquiries for each item. Our order, including Salted Egg Crab and live crab, arrived in less than 10 minutes, raising suspicions about the freshness of the seafood. As a seafood enthusiast, I can discern that the crab was far from fresh. Additionally, the clams were gritty and disconcertingly dark inside. 😱 Flies were omnipresent, landing on everything from food and beverages to our bodies, making for an incredibly unpleasant dining experience. It was an utterly chaotic evening, and I vow never to return to this establishment!

Everyone talk about Way Way restaurant in the Town. Until today i tried it. To be honest, nothing great just a basic cooking. Infact the seafood doesn't seems fresh, my family members so disappointed with the crab and seafood dish. The crab tasted powering and soft. We definitely not coming back! Their quality food not even fresh or close to what Amazon Seafood Restaurant standard!

Walking distance from the JW Marriott Batam. Big spacious place, on the seafront. Be careful there's 2 Wey Wey's, don't mixed it up because I did 🙈 Quite clean and very big place, very busy too!! Touristy place 😌 Because it's very big, took awhile for the food to come. So, make sure you have everything ordered, you'd lose your appetite otherwise. Food is quite good! Lot's and lot's option/dishes. I like the Ayam Goreng Bawang Putih crunchy and tasty, gosh .. I can't stop eatin' them! 🙈 As I mentioned, it's a very touristy .. it's not gonna cheap 🤓

I have been 8 years patronizing this food place. The location, the taste, the price and the services are good as always. It's really worthed it.. the most favorite live and fresh seafood in Batam

All these dishes and drinks came up to be 2mil. The most expensive is the crayfish 570k, follow by curry live fish 360k. The rest are reasonably priced. Taste is ok but there are many flies pestering your food. Tom yum soup is not too good and the worst is the scallop. Luckily these two are not too expensive. The expensive items are pretty tasty.

I did not have a good dinner experience as expected. They were unable to manage well when there were so many filled tables. I had to remind them for white rice to be served three times. The dishes I ordered came and turned cold when the rice finally arrived. To me, that was very unacceptable and disappointing. The price I paid was really not worthy.

Went to wey wey on recommendation of a local driver. It was a great recommendation. The outdoor seating oversees the waters and sunset. Seafood was very fresh, especially the prawns. Service was prompt and the dishes were served quickly. However some areas have a funny smell, perhaps from the exhaust so choose the seats well. Price was reasonable. Would recommend this place.

Crowded but really mediocre at best. Service virtually none existent for their pricing and tourist targeted segment. Food average even for live seafood. They earn well enough so if you believe this review, try the many other places. Shouldn’t not be worse.

Recommended by the grab driver to try Wey Wey Seafood. Went out early and managed to avoid the crowd. Service crew who took my order did not clarify the portion customer wants. He assumed customer wanted everything in medium size (as shown in the pictures) Ordered salted fish fried rice, slated egg prawn, stir fried squid, stir fried clams, fried cereal craw fish and hot port stir fry egg tofu. The best was fried cereal crawfish and on the contrary, the slated egg prawn sauce was cold and the prawn didn’t appear to be fresh and was rather small to begin with. Notwithstanding the service crew attitude. It was not acceptable with no communication barrier. Food was over priced.. Not returning, not recommended..

Honestly, the food is good. I went during non busy season, so I didn't face the problems everyone else did. The slipper lobsters fried in a sweet salty sauce was my fav. Black pepper crab is a staple and always good.

The service here was a little slow, many new people or staff which did not know what to do! Also, somehow the service is not streamlined at all, the drinks sometimes take longer than the food and I just ordered one drink and it took almost 15minutes. The food here is delicious though. We had 3 different crabs and the crabs were superb! Also, some special mentions was the salted egg and clams here, stood out among the rest!

Must-visit place. The quality was good and fresh, however, not having any prices on the menu makes this place a little bit dodgy. At least write the $/kg so that we know what range we are talking about. Otherwise the bill will be just a surprise. It can range between 1IDR - 1000000IDR.

Average seafood place by the Promenade. There is no price on the menu but thankfully we didn’t get a bill shock. Can check with the waitress about the price when they’re taking the order. The service is fast and the restaurant seems to be able to cater for huge crowds. We stayed at Yello Hotel so there was a 15% off the bills. Spent <$40 for the 4 dishes & 2 coconut.

All the menu serve in fresh condition. The location is in the point of north beach in Batam. But the price is quite expensive. Overall, it can be included in the most delicious restaurant in here.

I have tried to find the best chili crab in Batam. This is the place where I have looked for. The source of chili crab is fantastic. Better than any other places. Sorry, when I took a picture almost finished. I couldn't stop.

One of the best near montigo! Slightly more expensive but taste very good! Better than other famous ones we’ve been to. And they are very honest about freshness. I wanted lobster but was recommended not to take cause it’s not fresh enough. Comfortable dining experience!

Abit far from town, ordered 4 dishes: butter crab, not those creamy type, taste very Chinese, don't if the crab is fresh or not. I can taste a slightly sweet, but the meat is soft. Steamed wine prawn fresh and taste super good. Steamed gong gong is cheap, but a bit not so fresh maybe, got fishy smell, kailan, super salty, can't finish. 2 pax spent a total of $36. Wroth it. The drinks including coconut soso only.

The food is good, but we were having reservation issue in Ramadhan. Our name were not on the list. But they manage to set us a new table. Our reservation also for 600k package. But were given the 1000k package that we fully paid. If You want to go, avoid rush hour in Ramadhan.

This is a very authentic seafood restaurant! They will kill crabs to show you as soon as you enter the door 😂 But they will not sell hard, which makes we feel very comfortable. The food is very good, the mango juice is genuine! I especially like their crabs, 🦀because they are really fresh and the flesh and shell are separated! 😋😋Gonggong🐚 is also very cheap, only a few sgd per plate 🫡Their store is 40 years old, and the environment is close to the sea, which is very old-fashioned and comfortable. recommended to come in the evening🙌🏻

Spacious and clean restaurant by the beach. Service was good but some time it might be difficult to get attention. That doesn’t matter as the food was fresh and amazing. All dishes was super tasty, flavorful and satisfying. Fresh seafood and prices are clearly shown at the front of the restaurant. If really had to chose, Pepper Crab, Butter Prawns and Tom Yum Soup is a must have among our dishes. To conclude, definitely a place to visit when you are at Batam. Oh, payment by CASH ONLY unless you have local payment app.

22 Mar 2023 All the seafood is fresh. But the taste is not there. Service is bad, you should shout for service 😂. Try the bell, but nothing happens. The nice part is the view by the sea. On more thing, make sure to check your bill carefully before you pay.

My family like the calamari and bean sprouts fried with salted fish. Steamed fish is good. Ordered clams but turned out to be cockles, they are big but a few are bad. Overall very good, will return.

Really good seafood at honest and affordable price even when we are and looked tourist. Nice and friendly serving staffs, ambience and sea view. Only downside are the irritating houseflies. Probably the only famous seafood place near the Nongsa area and boy are we glad we made time to come here!!! As many reviewers have expressed. Their chili crab is to die for!! Don’t expect anything like the sweet ketchupy chili crab from Singapore, theirs is a full on sambal salsa in the mouth with every bite!!! Very spicy but so so savoury and the crab was fresh beyond belief with white flaky flesh that separated easily from the shell. The sambal lala was great as well, almost the same sauce as the crab but a tad sweeter. We could really taste the brininess of the sea. Kai lan was a classic! A good side to balance out all the spiciness.

Very nice atmosphere, the service was very fast and efficient, the price is very affordable and the food is excellent. Highly recommended seafood place.

We visited this place on 3/Jun for lunch after a long time. We have been here since 1994 long before married & have a daughter. We met the lady boss & still remember us. The place is spacious with several tables occupied as the time was only 12.00pm We picked 2 mud crabs 🦀 for Black pepper, fried squid 🐙, omlet, kangkung belachan (prawn paste), scallop but no stock. The food quality remains 👌 wonderful great!

As with a stay at Batam Marriott, dining ar Goji is a complete sensual, visual, and gastronomical curated experience of the highest order. Everything you expected is there, so are some unexpected ones. Well presented and cooked to perfection. With a floor ceiling glass window view of the azure sea devoid of commercial vessels, we were mesmerized as we walked to different stations to be greeted by another pararomic view. But it was the personable and indefatigable staff that were the stars. Everyone smiles and serves with unbridled Javanese warmth. Yes, everyone, everywhere and every day.

We stayed over at the Batam Marriott Hotel (Harbour Bay) on our trip to Batam for off-site! Tried the Spicy Seafood Omelette, which had an arrabiata-like sauce (sweet from the tomatoes and a slight kick from the chili). The prawn meat was de-shelled. The omelette had a smooth texture and they were fairly generous with the sotong, shrimp and prawns! Delicious. Took some of the Western breakfast items as well - the tater tots were the star! Crispy on the outside and full of flavour on the inside. Really well seasoned too. Their bread and butter pudding was simply sumptuous. Very smooth and had a generous amount of dried fruit and some nuts for texture. The stuffed doughtnut also took the cake, with what seemed like raspberry or strawberry filling. Really sweet and indulgent! The spread was sumptuous and if I ever return to Batam, I would consider staying in the hotel and coming down for breakfast here!

This place is pretty out of this world, especially if you're here for their morning hotel breakfast. They have many stalls, present a wide variety of options, and their local food options are quite the bomb. Service staff are all extremely friendly, proactive, and helpful. You don't really feel like they don't want to be there, like some other servers in Singapore do. That's refreshing. Overall, enjoyed our morning breakfast with them on both mornings. Thanks team!

Tried as rated #1 on TripAdvisor. Food wise, ordered the Marriott burger, ribeye steak and nasi goreng set to share for 2 pax. The Marriott burger was decent but not best. Meat patty was juicy but under flavoured. Ordered medium for Ribeye steak doneness, steak served was closer to medium well. Fries were disappointing, undercooked and soogy. Says a lot about a place which does not pay attention to details such as cooking fries properly. Nasi goreng set was generally good; fried rice with very good wok hei and flavour with satay (sauce too sweet), prawn and fried chicken (too dry) with what seems like commercially available prawn crackers. Saving grace was the sambal which I requested separately. Staff and service was good, bread was served at the start of service (however bread roll was not warmed up). Bill came up to Rp 1,200,000 (SGD 120) for the 3 mains plus a bottle of sparkling water 750ml.

Buffet breakfast at Marriott’s restaurant Goji was such a treat. Typical of high end hotels in Asia the breakfast buffet tend to be over the top. Goji does not disappoint. I hovered around the Asian stations and tried a little of a lot. All were solid. Most notable was the dessert section with a dazzling display of Malay desserts - truly a feast for the eyes. Only regrets were that Goji did not have my favourite fresh fruits - mangoes, lychee, longan, mangosteen, rambutan.

Had a 5 courses dinner pairing with wine on last Saturday with wife. Cozy ambiance, not too crowded, there was live music sang a nice songs. Staff also very friendly and well trained … Very nice and excellent staff Ok for the 5 courses menu. I would give 8.5 out of 10… In ny mind, they would prepared and cooked the food before we came but i was wrong. They prepared and cooked when we were there. So all food were freshly cooked . Taste of the food 4/5 Presentation 5/5 Value of money 5/5 To be honest i think this offer is really good and you should give it a go.

Good spread for breakfast, a mix of western and local cuisines. They serve really good coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful, but very forgetful. Half of our food and coffee orders that were wrong or forgotten. The restaurant is spacious and bright, had a seaview table and it was really nice.

Waited 1.5h for average food at best. What a waste of my time. Cancelled the dessert. Would not recommend coming here.

Ordered 6 dishes + 2 drinks for 4 pax : 660k Mantou, cereal prawns and fried calamari was good! The soup doesn’t taste anything like Tom yum. Chilli crab sauce was alright, but the crab meat was too soft. Overall still satisfied with my dinner!

Very delicious food. Chilli crab was great! Order a couple of fried mantous (buns) to soak up the sauce. Sambal kangkong and fried squid in tamarind sauce was tasty. Steamed fish in teochew style was a tad over cooked. Excellent service. Spent S$83 for 2 pax on a crab, a steamed fish, an order of vege, squid, 2 mantous, 1 plate of rice and a glass of fruit juice.

This restaurant occupies 2 storeys. Many selection of seafood and vegetables. There's 32 of us so we had the whole 2nd floor to ourselves. Each tables had at least 8 dishes. Fast service with good food and nice ambience.

I would give a 3.5 stars. It was a fairly alright meal. The salt egg prawns was a soggy and the egg of the hotplate toufu is all overcooked on the base and not together with the tofu. Chilli crabs are not too bad, but definitely tasted better ones.

We went on a Friday evening so there wasn't a crowd. The place is nicely litted and clean. We had the signature, steamed and Salted egg crabs. Along with brocoli, garlic chicken, fu rong eggs, calamari, hei zou, crayfish and the man tou. Along we uncounted drinks. Slightly over ordered for 4 adults and 3 children. So can so away with the garlic chicken or eggs. Very pleased with the meal in general, especially the crabs. Signature is good But we like the steam one the best, you can taste the sweetness and freshess of the crabs. Salted egg is a miss. Total damage is less than SGD160, so it's definitely value for money. A must go.

We were really content with the place because the food was nice, the place was clean and we cleaned all of the dishes that we ordered.

Food was tasty but today's service was slow ... seemed like they couldn't handle our orders from 2 different tables (16 paxs). Also we could tell the food was ready from kitchen but when served, it had already cooled down as service staff was slow in delivering to our table.

Chillicrab and black pepper crab were flavorful and saucy which went well with fried buns though the size of chillicrab were small (300-400g) and pincers also quite small and a bit tough on the meat. Cereal prawn were fresh though not really coated much with the cereal flakes. Service staff had difficulty in understanding our questions hence have to rely on the supervisor whenever we need anything. The place were empty on weekday nights. Overall recommended to try out their crab and crayfish.

Were at restaurant at 6.30pm. Lo hei dish came 1 hour later, n it was only 70% table occupied. The other 3 dishes were serve over 1.5 hours. And at 9.15pm, we still waiting for the 4th dish. Service and kitchen were way way below par. Food is really only below average. I rate them 2 out of 10. Better to eat snacks at 7-11.
