Hotel White Desert is a simple and unpretentious lodging establishment situated by the roadside. It offers basic but comfortable accommodations, an unassuming restaurant serving homely fare, and complimentary parking for guests. The location is convenient, with several food options on the ground floor of the building. The rooms are pleasant and worth experiencing at least once. Although individual experiences may vary, overall Hotel White Desert appears to be a decent place to stay while in Bhuj.
I stayed here for two days and the kind of reception I have received was beyond my expectations. We had a crisis during check in. Sahil not only helped my family in this crisis rather he also arranged cake for my mother 's birthday and what not. His humble gesture and love towards his guest make me feel like visit again to bhuj and stay here. Thank you for this awesome experience

This is a good budget hotel. It's on prime location. Enough rooms. Cleanness .staff..are good. Lots of food option available near this place.
purva Bhatt — Google review
Location is good as there are loads of eateries around. Parking is available only after the eateries are closed at around 12 midnight. Rooms have no ventilation. Hotel does not have power back up it seems, as there was a power cut for more than 1.5hrs. During that time it was suffocating inside the room. We couldn't keep the main door open as it was pitch dark corridor. Disappointing... Staff are polite. There was no towels available initially, however the reception staff arranged for the same in an hour. They need to improve...

Nice location and rooms all have to visit one time

Though the rooms are just okay to stay, the service is very poor. You have to ask for each and every thing like towels, soaps etc again and again. The staff is very unprofessional and the owner himself doesn't know how to talk to the guests. Please don't book the rooms online or on call in this hotel. They can't deliver the things they promise.

The place is really old and there was no room cleaning service. We stayed for two days. Beds and rooms are not clean. Please don’t book online. You will get rates around 2500 for a day online and hotel is not that worthy. They even charge for water. Wifi service is terrible. Ac is also not that good. Overall i lost 3000+ tax for the room and experience was really poor.

The Shree Swaminarayan Temple Bhuj, also known as the Bhuj Mandir, is a newly rebuilt Hindu temple adorned with intricately carved marble pillars and towers crowned by golden spires. It has been immaculately maintained and features a historical museum showcasing antique items without any intention to sell. The temple also offers clean and hygienic free meals for visitors, but it is recommended to make a donation as an act of kindness.
Anjar swaminarayan temple is excellent..there is God gifted person for all tourists you must visit there

It's a very beautiful temple. The architecture is quite beautiful. The fine work on marble is mesmerizing. Although, there are certain areas where women are restricted to enter. They also offer prasadam, which is a meal. It is free of cost, but if you are an outsider, they might ask you to buy a coupon worth rs.50 or rs.100 (includes sweet). So, I didn't like that. If you visit and someone asks you to buy a coupon buy one for rs.50 only, nobody checks inside which coupon you have and you get the sweet as well with rs.50.

People refer this temple as the new Swaminarayan Temple. It looks pretty much new and has been maintained very well. They have recently opened a historic museum which had antique items (not for sale) which visitors can enjoy looking through. You can also try having lunch or dinner there which is awesome because food prepared here is very hygienic and it’s basically free. However I would recommend to donate some amount as a good gesture. There is a nice garden on back side of Temple which varieties of plants in it. Perfect place for a religious visit and also a nice place to click some good family pics.

This Swaminarayan temple is one of a kind and well-known in Kutch. As usual, the temple architecture is spectacular; made of marble with beautifully carved marble pillars and roofs. The entire temple complex is immaculately kept, with perfectly manicured gardens and, of course, excellent Swaminarayan food for foodies. It is a very religious place, and one should start their Kutch trip by visiting the temple.

Big temple in centre of Bhuj. We visited while enroute to Rann of Kutch. Temple timings are 9am to 12 noon. Then reopens at 4pm till 8pm. They close the outside door restricting entry and the idol doors as well for performing Pooja. Women are not allowed to enter the inner sanctum of the temple as per Swaminarayan norms, however they can wait in common area and take darshan of idols clearly visible. The temple itself is made of white marble which felt cool to walk on. There is intricate carvings on the pillars & ceilings, making it too beautiful. There is a seperate dining hall on the right side of the temple where prasadam vegetarian fulfilling & unlimited lunch is served everyday for a mere cost Rs.50 per plate. The lunch was of rotis, rice, dal and a vegetable completed by buttermilk & sweet. There is also a clean Ladies & Gents washroom near the entrance, open for visitors. And a souvenir shop too.

This Swaminarayan mandir comes under the Narnarayan Dev Gadi. Senior devotees Gangarambhai jethi Sundarjibhai, Jigneshwarbhai and others from the Bhuj region of Kutch went to Gadhada where God Swaminarayan was attending a Fuldol festival. In that festival, the devotees of Bhuj met Swaminarayan and requested him to construct a temple in Bhuj. Place is very nice, A place for peace of mind... We were brought to visit the temple from the border identification camp organized by Kutch.

White desert is very far from this place and is not possible to walk till there as there is full of forests hills in between. From bhuj this temple is nearly 90km. You will get lime juice, sugercan juice and few more eat and drink stuffs here to cure thurst and hunger. Please note, when you reach to this place, there is no need to opt for Camel ride as view point is very near and in walkable distance. Ancient Ruins
Chhatedi Bhuj, a historical site resembling Greek structures, is well-maintained despite the effects of an earthquake. It offers a stunning sunset view and visitors can complete their tour in about 30 minutes. The place is reminiscent of scenes from the Bollywood movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. There is no entry fee for this destination, but it closes promptly at 6 pm; visitors are advised to arrive before 5 pm to fully enjoy the experience.
This place is besides the Lake where there are many attractions what I witnessed is that it's a must visit place one need to be patient and understand what exactly happened there, that place witnessed the Sati by 15 of his queen at that place. It is not that popular among tourists but still I cherished that place.

It's quite good to experience the beauty of the ruins/monuments. We went there right after lunch, so it was very sunny. There is a park adjacent to the place which is nice too. It gave some shade and a cold Breeze which was really pleasant. A good place to hangout.

Historical Place as it says. Most of the part is damaged or vanished but there's enough structure remained and maintained to witness 18th century's architecture. It's not a must visit type place but If you're visiting bhuj then you can take a look at it as it's in the city.
RAJAN V BALDHA — Google review
This place looks like the Greek structures and with the structures affected by the earthquake it is still well maintained. If you want to witness the best sunset in Bhuj then you should visit this place without fail. You will take about 30 mins to complete the visit to this place. Shots from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam will keep coming to your mind as you see this place. There is no entry fee at this place and it gets closed by 6pm so be sure to reach before 5pm so that you get the best experience, else the security person will come whistling (the whistle sound of the birds is unique and not so irritating though 😉). A good place to visit if you are within the city of Bhuj!

The chattris in bhuj are constructed in 18th century AD by jadeja rulers. The structural design here is the combination of mughal and rajputana style. One of the chatris is painted in blue and the dome is highly ornamented carving. Right now some of the areas and spaces are considered as ruins but we can visit the place for its peacefull atmosphere(like cold breeze).Best for people who love architecture.

Chhatedi is a historical monument located in the city of Bhuj in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India. It is a complex of cenotaphs or memorial tombs built in honor of the Kutch rulers and their family members. The word "Chhatedi" means umbrella-shaped canopy, and the monument is named so because of its distinctive umbrella-shaped dome-like structures that adorn the top of each cenotaph. The domes are supported by intricately carved pillars and are a unique feature of the monument. Gujarat is a beautiful example of traditional Kutchi architecture and is an important cultural heritage site. Its intricate carvings, distinctive umbrella-shaped domes, and serene location make it a must-visit destination for those interested in history, architecture, and culture.

- complete name of the place is "Rao Lakkha Chatri" - most of the local people just know the place for it's old pond - It's an 18th Century monument where Rao Lakkha's 15 wives followed Sati Pratha after his death - 15 chattaris were built for them - most of them have now collapsed - this place also has some ancient temples (which are also not in use due to there conditions) - overall a nice place for history lovers

It was ok and nothing to boast about as it was crowded with pre wedding photographers and felt more like a photo place than a historically important place. If you have time you can visit this place for 30 min. There is no guide nor much explanation about the ruins. Just a single board to tell you what it is

It is behind the BAPS swaminarayan mandir. The structure was built in 18th century and it is in ruins now after 2001 earthquake. What to expect: - Ruins of 18th century royal centopahs built by Jadeja ruler Rao Lakhpatji. - Broken pillars, semi damaged structure, floral patterns and stripe patterns can also be seen across the walls that remain. - Square, hexagonal, octagonal centopahs. - One of the domes with blue colour similar to what we see in Turkey but it was dull due to lack of maintenance. - Detailed artwork of a Mahaut riding an Elephant, gujarati woman and many other intricate carvings. - Locals suggest that there were 15 structures here as 15 wives of the king committed sati here. Most of them were damaged in 2001, some slabs depicting the queens can be seen. - It is very close to the Hamirsar lake and it is a paradise for birdwatchers during sunrise / sunset. - There is no entry fee and do not expect lot of cleanliness or toilets inside premises. - There is a green area with trees which is clean and people can sit and relax here. Many even bring food and sit and eat it here like picnic.
