The fort's imposing structure, with its high walls and strong bastions, impresses upon arrival. As you enter through the intricately designed gates, the fort unfolds a treasure trove of architectural wonders. The fusion of Rajput, Mughal, and Gujarati styles is evident in the splendid palaces, courtyards, and temples housed within the fort.

Junagadh fort is a magnificent piece of art and architecture, there is no doubt in that. However, people who come from heritage cities having forts/temples might not find it unparalleled. Also, since this is a major tourist attraction of bikaner, it is extremely crowded and exorbitantly expensive. I loved the palace .

This is the best place to visit in Bikaner. This is a royal Fort with excellent carving of Marbels and sculpture with gold. Some part of this hot husband converted to museum and open for general visitors. This museum also provide guides with its entry tickets of rupees 100. Worth visiting this place as history speaks here itself.

A huge beautiful and neatly maintained fort amidst the city. A must go place and they give a free guide at the entrance for which you might have to wait for a few mins. Each section of the fort is very well maintained and has a different color. The fort will show up in different colors for each section like Anup Mahel, Rani mahel etc. A lot of history with this fort which you must read through. The Rajas at that time hosted a lot of European guests so you will see the European influences in the designing and the cutlery they used. The fort has a huge ground, temples, lawn, museum , cafe to explore.

Another marvel of our glorious history. Beautiful architecture as expected from our forts of India. It was such a good experience to know about the history of the kings of Bikaner. The fort displays a vast collection of the weapons used in their times, which is supposed to be the largest showcase in any fort . The paintings on the walls& ceilings take your breath away. U feel proud to be an Indian. Must visit in once lifetime.

One of the most beautiful and well preserved fort Ive ever seen. If one is in Bikaner then this place is a must to explore. The overall construction quality and the staff is very nice. The fort is still owned by the Royal Family of Bikaner and they have kept the fort open for tourist visitors. There are two options to explore the fort. One is a free guide and the other one is a paid guide (INR 400/-). The entry fee for the fort is 50/- each. They charge separately in case one wants to take a video. Photographs are free. There is car parking facility available here as well which costs 20/-. I would definitely recommend visiting this fort.

Junagarh fort visit is one of the best historical monument experiences of my life. It has a lifetime of story and generations of transition, glory, culture and history engraved on its walls. It represents the 3 phases of the country's great evolution. First being the transport evolution, second, the trade flow transition and third is power possession phase achieved after many battles and struggles. The cool thing is, this has been depicted on the walls of the fort. Hats off to the archeological restoration team of India, they have done a wonderful job to preserve history at its best. Liked how each segment and area of the fort is kept accessible yet preserved for the general public. The ticket is ₹100/- for Indian citizens and ₹250/- for international visitors. Videography is chargeable by ₹200/- for the entire visit but you can click pictures throughout the premises without paying any charges. Also, the fort management provides a guide for the tour, in a group of 10 people, so, you don't need to take a guide along with you. However, you can ask for a separate guide, which is obviously chargeable. The place is amazing and a must visit. Also, there is a 'Prachina' museum which has a ₹50/- charge and contains the life relics of the kings and their families. It took almost 2.5hr along with the museum visit to complete our tour. There is a cafe near the museum which has a few good eateries to offer. There is one toilet just outside the fort main entrance and it is nice and clean. Fort management has kept the place very fine. Also, one of the cool things, the 4 wheeler parking is inside the fort, so you can take your car inside the fort and park near the main entrance. Overall it's a 5 star place to visit and a great experience.

Probably a less famous than other contemporary forts in Rajasthan- but this is a must see if you are in Bikaner! The place is well maintained and clean. The staff/guides are helpful and keen to answer you. The museum boats good collection of weapons, armour, clothing and the items which were used by the king (who was memeber of imperial war cabinet during World War I) Fort has magnificent facade.

Good place if you want to take kids to sand dunes for the experience. Few activities were also there, reaver don’t go before 7:00PM. Otherwise it’s too hot specially in summer season. You must take one dinner there, with some live performances by Rajasthani folk dances

Junagarh✨ Must visit in Bikaner, Rajasthan. • One of the oldest and very well maintained fort in Rajasthan •This fort exhibits rich architecture and grandeur life of the royals • •Entry Fees is ₹50 for Indian •Also don't take a personal guide even if they insist you continuously because there is a government guide assigned to bunch of people and the government guide explain everything very nicely.

While in Bikaner, this is a "must visit". This is the only famous fort in Rajasthan which is not on the top of a hill. Reaching here is not difficult and there is vehicle parking space inside the premises. It is well maintained with some areas restored well. The evolution of the fort with its architecture evolving over generations can be visualised within 2 hours. The crown piece of the fort is undoubtedly the oldest invaluable sandalwood throne dating back to the Rathodes (from Kannauj to Bikaner). Our visit was made memorable by our guide whom we met oafter purchasing entry tickets eat INR 100 per person.eBesides being proficient in Hindi, English and French, he has a thorough understanding of the history of Bikaner and its culture. With a keen eye for best spots for memorable snaps, he captured our trip in photographs for us in addition. On further enquiring he offered to guide us to authentic Rajasthani food and for shopping. Finally we relieved him only in the evening. The day turned out to be a fully packed, eventful and a memorable one thanks to his help.

Junagarh = the old fort. This used to be the fort used by the royal family of Bikaner before moving out to the new one (Lalgarh). The best part here is, they offer free guide service to each tourist. They group you and send a guide along with you. The guides are very professional and friendly. They explain to you the history very nicely. Loved this fort. It showcases the rich heritage of the Rajasthani rulers.

This fort is also known as the old fort for the name epithet 'Juna' means 'old'. Comparatively this fort is smaller than the others in other cities such as the Mehrangarh fort or the City palace. A large section of the fort is closed for the public. Plenty of restoration is due in several sections and walls show obvious signs of aging and disrepair. The armoury section occupies most of the display and then the state rooms and royal regalia. Overall a satisfactory experience.

Hey, just wanted to share how awesome Junagarh Fort is! I recently visited, and it blew me away. The history and architecture are mind-blowing – seriously felt like stepping back in time. The details in the palaces and temples are something else. Walking through, you can't help but imagine the royal life that once thrived there. The whole setup, with the city sprawled out below from the ramparts, is just breathtaking. The staff there are super knowledgeable and passionate. I learned so much during the guided tour. If you're into history or just want a taste of Rajasthan's royal past, Junagarh Fort is a must-visit. Highly recommend it for a memorable experience!

This place is good to visit for those who come here accidentally or for other purposes. However it's not too good to visit specially. There are no shops outside for lunch or dinner neither for snakes. The fee is Rs 100/person which should be less. U can visit the whole fort within 30 min.

Intriguing and beautiful fort. Neat and clean without any pigeon or bats nuisance. Parking area is big but we went by auto as it is surrounded by market place. Ticket is for 100rs for adults and 50rs for children below 12 yrs of age. There is a waiting area with many seats near the ticket counter where we have to wait after buying the ticket. Once there were close to 20 to 25 people, we are escorted by the guide inside who is a fort staff. We do not have to pay separately to guide. Fort is beautiful with amazing artwork. Many movies including Manikarnika has been shot here. Musuem is also good. Seperate ticket is needed to visit museum. Just outside the museum, a local painter has a shop. We bought couple of painting. He sells good paintings at a very reasonable price. Must visit place.

Seth Bhandasar Jain Temple is a renowned temple from the 15th century known for its intricate architecture, stone carvings, and wall paintings. It is one of two prominent Jain temples in Bikaner and stands out due to its vibrant yellow-stone carving and floral arabesques on the pillars. The temple interior depicts the lives of the 24 tirthankars with stunning depictions.
Love the internal architecture of the temple. You can take photos here but not videos. You'll amaze with the architecture. Next to Jain temple, there is Laxmi nath temple, this is also a good temple to visit. Both the places are easily accessible.

So, the coolest thing about Seth Bhandasar Jain Temple is its foundation – get this, it's made from a mix of ghee and limestone! How wild is that? The locals call it "Ghee Kund." I mean, who would've thought of using ghee to build a temple, right? The story goes that they believed this combo would combat the harsh desert climate and make the structure super durable. I couldn't stop thinking about the craftsmanship when I found out about it. They had this precise mix of ghee and limestone – talk about attention to detail. And get this – ghee isn't just a random choice; it's like a cultural thing. It adds this symbolic touch to the temple's foundation. So, you're not just looking at a cool mix of materials; there's a whole cultural vibe going on. Visiting the temple, you can't help but appreciate the ingenuity and cultural significance packed into that ghee foundation. It's these quirky details that make these places so fascinating, don't you think?

One of the most colorful and beautiful jain temple. The artwork done on the walls/roof, pillars and every section inside the premises is worth experiencing. You can reach this temple by taking an autorikshaw or if you are someone who loves to walk try exploring the market in between. Avoid taking your own 4 wheeler.

Bhandasar Jain Temple is a famous Jain temple located in the city of Bikaner, in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. The temple was built in the 15th century by a wealthy merchant named Bhandasa Oswal, and is dedicated to the fifth Tirthankar, Sumatinath. The temple is known for its beautiful architecture and intricate designs. It features exquisite paintings, frescoes, and sculptures that are made of sandstone and marble. The walls and ceilings of the temple are adorned with beautiful paintings that depict scenes from Jain mythology. One of the highlights of the Bhandasar Jain Temple is its unique construction. The temple is built using a combination of lime mortar, jaggery, and yellow sand. It is said that over 40,000 kg of ghee was used to coat the walls of the temple in order to make them smooth and shiny. Visitors to the temple can also see a 2.57-metre-tall statue of Sumatinath, which is made of black marble and is believed to be over 500 years old. Overall, the Bhandasar Jain Temple is a magnificent example of Jain architecture and is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Bikaner.

Beautiful temple. Beautiful Architecture and Sculptures However, it is not very easy to get there by your own car. It would be better to hire an e-rickshaw. It would be better to go in the evening. A lot of dust comes from the windows due to which the shine on the walls is fading. it should be noted.

Locals call it Ghee Kund mandir. It's situated on the very narrow lanes of old Bikaner where its impossible to ride even two wheeler, forget about driving your own car, so it's strongly advised that you drop your car at hotel or nearby, and take an auto rickshaw. This beautiful lake spans approximately 0.4 kilometers in length and has a width ranging between 183 to 274 meters. The best time to visit this man-made wonder is during the monsoon season when there is plenty of water, making it even more alluring for tourists.
Awesome lake in dessert. Always full with water. Well maintained, worth to visit here.
Dr Rakesh Gandhi Advocate — Google review
Exclusive spot to watch migratory birds during winter season where you can watch spoon bills cranes, sand goose, showlers, demosial crane and many others. Normally most part of the lake is shallow so these can easily found their food and simultaneously safe from their hunters like dog, fox. Wild boars are also found here and it's essential to keep a safe distance from them because they are really wild and can attack swiftly. The part of lake besides the palace is deep otherwise mostly it's shallow. Roaming around the lake gives a feel of really wild. During rainy seasons people came here for picnic. Actually there are two lakes one is adjoining the Gajner Palace hotel and other part is towards village, which comes first when you enter here, that they use only for drinking water source so no any swimming, bathing or washing clothes is allowed on this part. The part towards the palace is property of the hotel.

We also wanted to try camel milk peda, but it was not prepared. Camel milk is salty in taste. We got a ride on camel for hundred each. The uncle who handles the camel is very nice as he helps you click the photo and everything. Please give him hundred or 50 as a tip. There is museum too and you can check there garden plus rearing of camels.

Only place so it is unique that's y giving 4 star but need lot of improvisation when tourist are visiting. There can be proper way to go from one site to another. There can be a compulsory guide to explain the things. There can be proper shops to buy the products. I was expecting a lot but got disappointed, got confused where to go what site is what, lot of stray dogs running, didn't understand anything about the camels present there. My suggestion is increase the price and make it a tourist attraction.

A very over priced activity. We are foreigners so had to pay 200r, the centre itself is very small and almost no signage There is a stable with a number of bull camels, then young males, an enclosure for adult females with a dairy to milk them, and a pen with young camels. They have all the different species of camels there. They do research and run breeding programs, but all you can see are just lots of camels and be charged a lot for that. We were finished in under 15 minutes. You can also buy camel products and get a camel ride. Not worth it.

The Prachina Museum is located within the Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, and showcases the cultural history of the city through a range of exhibits. Visitors can view art, royal fashions, armor, meeting halls, paintings, portraits and crockeries that depict the customs and heritage of Bikaner's rulers. The museum opens at 9 AM and is recommended to be explored with a guide who charges 500 rupees for a tour of both the museum and fort.
Prachina Museum is located inside Junagadh Fort of Bikaner. The place is a historical marvel. The beauty of the architecture will sure leave mesmerized. The place tells the story of kings and the kingdom of Bikaner. This fort cum palace is now turned into a museum to showcase the life of previous kings who ruled here. It also displays the beauty of old architecture, which is astounding. The artwork on walls and roof is just magnificent. There is ample space to park your car and tickets can be taken at the entry gate which isn't very costly. If you are visiting Bikaner, you wouldn't want to miss this place.

Again, I see a huge commercial potential but the museum space is underused. The product development is close to zero. There are some products lying in dust. Promptly the sign says "no photography" where an artist is painting and producing some very low grade artworks which no one would like to buy. The museum is something you can easily let go. For fashion students it can offer some visual information.

Perfumes and other interesting things that were an integral part of the Royal household are there to enchant you as you explore sections of the museum. A number of beautifully crafted rugs and carpets give the visitors a chance to experience the artistic richness of India. Khamma Ghani 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

Staff are not good I have visited at prachina museum at near by closing hours They allowed me enter museum but soon after they told that it's closed I have to come out from museum without visiting entire museum. I told them it still some minutes left in closing hours. But didn't allow me

Jaisalmer War memorial is worth visiting if you are a fan of memorials. We spent around 3 hours here and is a great depiction of India and its brave heroes who have fought to protect us and give us the safe space of staying here. The quotes, pictures, stories can leave your teary if you feel the essence of it. Its on way to Jaisalmer and reasonable ticketing and pricing facility. The audio and video show was also good.

Prachina Bikaner Cultural Centre and Museum is a collection of royal and heritage objects from the house of Bikaner. It has everything preserved of the royal family like costumes, furniture, paintings, crockery and much more. If you are going to Junagarh Fort do visit this beautiful museum. It takes around 30-40 min to explore this place. The entry ticket is very nominal for Indian Tourist.

Very cool place. It includes food and drink and accommodation. This hotel remains open for 24 hours. It is not co-operative, yet it is a cool place.
Ravi Kant — Google review
It's basically a part of Junagarh Fort. It opens at 9 AM , 1 hour earlier than the actual fort. This museum depicts the rich cultural heritage of the rulers of Bikaner, their customs, dresses, meeting halls, paintings, portraits, crockeries and many more. Do take a guide who will take 500 rupees for the whole museum plus fort tour. Approximately you need 30 min to explore all the things. A small cafe is there where you can get some cold drinks like stuffs.

Gallops Restaurant & Coffee House is a charming eatery located opposite Junagarh Fort, offering a variety of Indian, Rajasthani, Continental, and Chinese dishes. The restaurant boasts ample seating and a dreamy ambiance with views of the fort. With prices starting as low as 50, it serves scrumptious delicacies with unique Bikaneri flavors. Must-try dishes include Rajasthani Ker Sangri and their special Wood Fire Pizzas.
Quick and prompt service. Parking space available. Very nice ambience for chilling out with friends and family. Authentic Rajasthani dishes available with good combination of Indian bread, rice and Indian Chinese dishes.

Good restaurant with a great view! It's a popular spot for tourists. It offers an amazing view of the Junagarh Fort as well as delicious Indian Cuisines. Perfect to grab a quick coffee and a perfect photo too. Fantastic Pizza! It was very fresh and flavorful. A little slow, but worth the wait. Yum! But Cold Coffee's price is high and taste is not so good. Went there for the first time last night, and will definitely be back.

The place is located just in front of Fort Junagadh in Bikaner,it has a bit of heritage vibe and you can sit both in the inside as well as outside (under the shed). The service is normal neither too fast nor slow,i had paneer tikka and it was good, had a smokey flavour to it and the quantity is also adequate as they use 200gm paneer for that,so you can gave it a try with some shakes or cold drinks. Overall if you want to go on a date or with your family to a place where you want some silence and want to spend some quality time than i guess you can try this one. The only con is that the rates are bit on a higher side.

Gallops is my one of favourite restaurant in Bikaner to spend some quality time with friends and family. 15 years ago, when I first visited this place found worth visiting. Since then this restaurant is not changed much, cozy sofas replaced by standard solid wood dining table chair..outside open air bamboo muddha is as it is..October to Februaryduring tourist season place is remain occupied by foreigntourists..white gravy pasta, freshly roasted beans coffee and masala tea is my personal favourite, rest of menu is as usual like any other premium restaurant..masala tea is priced at 100rs per cup and one cup coffee comes with 175rs price tag..rest you may imagine..but tea pot is having ample of tea, you may fill 4 cups even...so I'm always happy to be here..5 stars for staff's polite and well mannered behaviour. Food was good but I expect that from such a restaurant which serves Indian cuisine. Service and the whole management of the restaurant is very poor. There is no experience here, this is not a fine dine. People keep coming and going wearing track pants and picking up their orders. The reception/cash counter looks horrible. There is nothing in the name of the atmosphere. The floor is uneven so your chair or table may give you a seesaw effect. Restaurant is expensive for what it has to offer.

Immersed in the charm of Bikaner's Juna garh majestic fort, this multi-cuisine Indian cafe and restaurant is a true gem. The diverse menu boasts authentic flavors that tantalize the taste buds. From rich curries to tantalizing tandoori delights, each dish is a culinary masterpiece. The ambiance is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, creating a delightful dining experience. With attentive service and a breathtaking view, it's a culinary journey worth savoring. One thing they can certainly ask if coffee or tea to be served before or after the meal.

This restaurant is in front of Junagarh fort. You can spend quality time there with your close ones. The taste of the food is good, staff members are very nice. The sitting facility is provided by them inside as well as outside, where you can enjoy the live music and a big screen. I ordered Lal maans which was good in taste. Parking facility is available. I feel it is little expensive.

The place was buzzeling after 3 years covid hardship, service was good and very friendly, I had paneer Tikka massala with Jazeera rice, and it was jummy jummy, Medium spicy which was exactly to my liking. It was delicious. I definitely will go back. I bin back today, to taste the Bikaner speciality. The place was clean and cozy, 3 stars just to let the owner know that if he had a good season, maybe tidy up some small things (tidy the curtains), inside some art and more plants, soft lightning. Just my take on it.

Food was good n price was reasonable. But need to focus on cleaning n hygiene food quantity n quality n price was very good.junagarh special shake was good. Discount was also there in specific items We were looking for a lunch option and were recommended this restaurant by our guide. Located opposite Junagarh fort this restaurant is stylish in its setting in an old world sort of way. Cane furniture strewn on a lawn, with monogrammed china ware, quick service and tasty food delivered to our table quickly, we could feel the stresses and strains of Delhi slipping away from us as we just took in the fresh air, plotted our next drive to see the camels. Restro is very neat & clean.

Budget hotel with decent services. Value for money. Pros 1) Big rooms. 2) Big bathroom. 3) Provision for A.C and Heater. 4) Neat Bed sheets. 5) Tasty food. 6)All floor accessible by Elevator. 7) Running Hot and Cold water. 8) Standard Amenities. Cons 1) Towels were of inferior quality. 2) Few others were there but not worth mentioning. Recommends. If budget is an issue this should be a choice as the place is most budget friendly with decent services. One excellent staff from kitchen Mr. Deepak is commendable.

Everything was good, room to service and location, just the food was not worth the price they were charging. Got only two vegetables for 1 person at the same price for which I got whole meal for 3 people from outside. And the bad side is that outside food was better in all, quality, taste and quantity. Point is that the taste was not worth paying that much and if it actually was worth it, then I would have no issues. I tried north indian food there. Maybe they are good at south Indian food instead. Overall the stay was good.

I believe that this hotel has degraded over time .Earlier the restaurant was very clean and the food was also very good but now the chairs are not clean and the food is also not up to the mark.I think the manager and the receptionist need to know better on how to talk to customers and not complain if asked for something.the services were very slow if we asked for towels we received them after an hour or half an hour. The room needs to be more clean the floor was a bit sticky and dusty at some places.I expect you to take this review seriously and improve on the given points

I stayed at Heeralal hotel in December '23 for one night with my family. While the room was neat and spacious, I don't understand how it falls under 3 star category. The staff at the reception was had an issue with our booking. Even though we booked 2 rooms, they initially said that we have only one room booked, which was later rectified. The restaurant was another case study. We were not informed that when our itinerary says booking includes breakfast and dinner, it is applicable only on a preset menu, not the menu at the restaurant. At the end of the stay they gave us a bill for our dinner, which is when they told about the rules of prebooking.

Their rooms are clean. They are also happy to clean your room every day which is nice. But their staff is not trained well; one of their receptionist in the night shift is extremely rude. Their food is a hit-or-miss—some items like paneer butter masala and laccha parantha are great but others like dosa, sandwich, garlic bread, and pasta are really not nice. They also had pets-allowed mentioned in their google profile, but when I called them, they told me that they dont allow pets in their rooms, which was odd. Finding a parking is also difficult sometimes.

We had originally planned to visit a different place, but it was closed. Instead, we decided to give Amberwalla a try and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing service. The kachori here was delicious and we also tried their unique Deshi Videshi iddly on the owner's recommendation - it did not disappoint.

Amberwalla is a hidden gem of a restaurant that I had the pleasure of discovering recently. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant's decor exudes a sense of elegance, making it a perfect place for both casual gatherings and special occasions. One of the standout features of Amberwalla is its generous sitting space. Unlike many crowded restaurants, here I had plenty of room to move comfortably between tables, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. It was refreshing not to feel cramped or rushed during my meal. Now, let's talk about the food – simply exceptional! The menu offers a delightful selection of dishes from various cuisines, each crafted with care and creativity. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was artful, adding to the overall dining pleasure. The staff at Amberwalla deserves special praise for their attentiveness and friendly demeanor. They were knowledgeable about the menu and readily offered recommendations, enhancing the dining experience further. Their prompt service and genuine smiles made me feel truly valued as a guest. Whether dining alone, with family, or in a group, Amberwalla caters to all occasions. It's a haven for food enthusiasts and those seeking a memorable dining experience. The restaurant's versatility and commitment to delivering an exceptional experience sets it apart from others in the area. The only slight downside was the parking availability, which could be a bit challenging during peak hours. However, the overall experience more than compensated for this minor inconvenience. In conclusion, I highly recommend Amberwalla to anyone looking for a nice restaurant with delicious food and ample sitting space. The combination of the warm ambiance, excellent cuisine, and attentive service creates a dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. I will undoubtedly be returning soon to savor more of their culinary delights.
