Junagadh fort is a magnificent piece of art and architecture, there is no doubt in that. However, people who come from heritage cities having forts/temples might not find it unparalleled. Also, since this is a major tourist attraction of bikaner, it is extremely crowded and exorbitantly expensive. I loved the palace .

This is the best place to visit in Bikaner. This is a royal Fort with excellent carving of Marbels and sculpture with gold. Some part of this hot husband converted to museum and open for general visitors. This museum also provide guides with its entry tickets of rupees 100. Worth visiting this place as history speaks here itself.

A huge beautiful and neatly maintained fort amidst the city. A must go place and they give a free guide at the entrance for which you might have to wait for a few mins. Each section of the fort is very well maintained and has a different color. The fort will show up in different colors for each section like Anup Mahel, Rani mahel etc. A lot of history with this fort which you must read through. The Rajas at that time hosted a lot of European guests so you will see the European influences in the designing and the cutlery they used. The fort has a huge ground, temples, lawn, museum , cafe to explore.

Another marvel of our glorious history. Beautiful architecture as expected from our forts of India. It was such a good experience to know about the history of the kings of Bikaner. The fort displays a vast collection of the weapons used in their times, which is supposed to be the largest showcase in any fort . The paintings on the walls& ceilings take your breath away. U feel proud to be an Indian. Must visit in once lifetime.

The fort is underrated for the grandeur that it possess. I visited the fort with my wife and we loved everything about this place. It's huge and has a lot of historical and cultural artifacts. The build of the fort is grand and you'll fall in love with the corridors and halls. It's Worth visiting!

One of the most beautiful and well preserved fort Ive ever seen. If one is in Bikaner then this place is a must to explore. The overall construction quality and the staff is very nice. The fort is still owned by the Royal Family of Bikaner and they have kept the fort open for tourist visitors. There are two options to explore the fort. One is a free guide and the other one is a paid guide (INR 400/-). The entry fee for the fort is 50/- each. They charge separately in case one wants to take a video. Photographs are free. There is car parking facility available here as well which costs 20/-. I would definitely recommend visiting this fort.

Junagarh fort visit is one of the best historical monument experiences of my life. It has a lifetime of story and generations of transition, glory, culture and history engraved on its walls. It represents the 3 phases of the country's great evolution. First being the transport evolution, second, the trade flow transition and third is power possession phase achieved after many battles and struggles. The cool thing is, this has been depicted on the walls of the fort. Hats off to the archeological restoration team of India, they have done a wonderful job to preserve history at its best. Liked how each segment and area of the fort is kept accessible yet preserved for the general public. The ticket is ₹100/- for Indian citizens and ₹250/- for international visitors. Videography is chargeable by ₹200/- for the entire visit but you can click pictures throughout the premises without paying any charges. Also, the fort management provides a guide for the tour, in a group of 10 people, so, you don't need to take a guide along with you. However, you can ask for a separate guide, which is obviously chargeable. The place is amazing and a must visit. Also, there is a 'Prachina' museum which has a ₹50/- charge and contains the life relics of the kings and their families. It took almost 2.5hr along with the museum visit to complete our tour. There is a cafe near the museum which has a few good eateries to offer. There is one toilet just outside the fort main entrance and it is nice and clean. Fort management has kept the place very fine. Also, one of the cool things, the 4 wheeler parking is inside the fort, so you can take your car inside the fort and park near the main entrance. Overall it's a 5 star place to visit and a great experience.

This fort is magnificent with its colours and floral patterns on the interior walls. Hand painted doors, the colour variation on the walls looks absolutely gorgeous .

Probably a less famous than other contemporary forts in Rajasthan- but this is a must see if you are in Bikaner! The place is well maintained and clean. The staff/guides are helpful and keen to answer you. The museum boats good collection of weapons,armour,clothing and the items which were used by the king (who was memeber of imperial war cabinet during World War I) Fort has magnificent facade.

Good place if you want to take kids to sand dunes for the experience. Few activities were also there, reaver don’t go before 7:00PM. Otherwise it’s too hot specially in summer season. You must take one dinner there, with some live performances by Rajasthani folk dances

While in Bikaner, this is a "must visit". This is the only famous fort in Rajasthan which is not on the top of a hill. Reaching here is not difficult and there is vehicle parking space inside the premises. It is well maintained with some areas restored well. The evolution of the fort with its architecture evolving over generations can be visualised within 2 hours. The crown piece of the fort is undoubtedly the oldest invaluable sandalwood throne dating back to the Rathodes (from Kannauj to Bikaner). Our visit was made memorable by our guide whom we met oafter purchasing entry tickets eat INR 100 per person.eBesides being proficient in Hindi, English and French, he has a thorough understanding of the history of Bikaner and its culture. With a keen eye for best spots for memorable snaps, he captured our trip in photographs for us in addition. On further enquiring he offered to guide us to authentic Rajasthani food and for shopping. Finally we relieved him only in the evening. The day turned out to be a fully packed, eventful and a memorable one thanks to his help.

Junagarh = the old fort. This used to be the fort used by the royal family of Bikaner before moving out to the new one (Lalgarh). The best part here is, they offer free guide service to each tourist. They group you and send a guide along with you. The guides are very professional and friendly. They explain to you the history very nicely. Loved this fort. It showcases the rich heritage of the Rajasthani rulers.

This fort is also known as the old fort for the name epithet 'Juna' means 'old'. Comparatively this fort is smaller than the others in other cities such as the Mehrangarh fort or the City palace. A large section of the fort is closed for the public. Plenty of restoration is due in several sections and walls show obvious signs of aging and disrepair. The armoury section occupies most of the display and then the state rooms and royal regalia. Overall a satisfactory experience.

Beautiful and extremely important place to visit. The organised way in which visitors are taken inside in batches is very convenient. The official guides are very good, polite and helpful people.

Hey, just wanted to share how awesome Junagarh Fort is! I recently visited, and it blew me away. The history and architecture are mind-blowing – seriously felt like stepping back in time. The details in the palaces and temples are something else. Walking through, you can't help but imagine the royal life that once thrived there. The whole setup, with the city sprawled out below from the ramparts, is just breathtaking. The staff there are super knowledgeable and passionate. I learned so much during the guided tour. If you're into history or just want a taste of Rajasthan's royal past, Junagarh Fort is a must-visit. Highly recommend it for a memorable experience!

Great decorative fort with,it has a heritage of WW1.Best weapons collection in the whole Rajasthan according to me. Building architecture is also very very mind-blowing.There is a provision for free of charge palace guide.

This place is good to visit for those who come here accidentally or for other purposes. However it's not too good to visit specially. There are no shops outside for lunch or dinner neither for snakes. The fee is Rs 100/person which should be less. U can visit the whole fort within 30 min.

Intriguing and beautiful fort. Neat and clean without any pigeon or bats nuisance. Parking area is big but we went by auto as it is surrounded by market place. Ticket is for 100rs for adults and 50rs for children below 12 yrs of age. There is a waiting area with many seats near the ticket counter where we have to wait after buying the ticket. Once there were close to 20 to 25 people, we are escorted by the guide inside who is a fort staff. We do not have to pay separately to guide. Fort is beautiful with amazing artwork. Many movies including Manikarnika has been shot here. Musuem is also good. Seperate ticket is needed to visit museum. Just outside the museum, a local painter has a shop. We bought couple of painting. He sells good paintings at a very reasonable price. Must visit place.

Jai Mata Karni. Well maintained temple in the area. Parking is an issue. Guys try to forcefully stop you in between and ask you to park your vehicle in front of their shop, don't do that. Instead park opposite side of the shops. Management please look into the matter of stopping vehicle in between. Overall everything is nice. Cleanliness is well maintained.

It's a good temple of Karni mata. There are thousands of rats in the temple living freely. It feels somewhat uncomfortable for a few to start with while surrounded by so many rats, but it was okay for me.

It's the only rat Temple. If you are lucky you'll find white rat. For history Google it's fascinating. You'll find rat freely roaming rats everywhere. If you feel rats are unhygienic it's not a place for you. But definitely a different experience.

I recently visited Karni Mata temple and was thoroughly impressed by the beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere. As I walked through the temple, I saw numerous black rats which are considered holy and treated with utmost care by the devotees Out of all of the thousands of rats in the temple, there are a few white Rats, which are considered to be especially holy. They are believed to be the manifestations of Karni Mata herself and her four sons. Sighting them is a special blessing and visitors put in extensive efforts to bring them forth, offering prasad, a sweet holy food. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to this temple to anyone looking to experience the rich culture and spirituality of Hinduism.

Very strange temple with rats everywhere. There is no queue outside in the time of my visit. A must see it's so bizarre place. Recommended if you visit Bikaner not that far by car.

The temple is very popular for its uniqueness, that is plenty of rats in temple. The best part is rats are not at all harmful rather they are offered prasad and after that people pertake the prasad. This is very old temple and there is no report of any problem in the area. many times you touch them during parikarma. For its uniqueness it is must visit atleast once. around 30 kms from bikaner ont he way to jodhpur.

The presence of rats here is for real. There are around 20k rats easily. I had only seen this on National Geographic Channel on TV earlier. It's astonishing to see how bold these rats are in the sense that they are not afraid of us humans even a tiny little bit. They are quite harmless too. It's definitely a very unique experience. One of a kind for sure. Keep in mind that a lot of shop owners insist free parking in front of their shop, but they will not allow you not to buy 'prasad' for rats. Rats already have plenty to eat there. In fact, the food is overloaded. It's best you avoid littering it even more, unless you are fearful of God, etc. Definitely worth a visit. While it might look fascinating and exciting to see rats roaming here n there in pictures & youtube videos, in reality, this is the most disgusting, dangerous and unhygienic thing you could ever see - with all the humble due respect to religious feelings n sentiments. Important: Don't dare to buy or eat food from any food stall here. Rats are literally everywhere and its impossible to get food which is not already tasted by rats. Everything at this place is 100% infected with diseases. Parking fee is Rs 50 but if you buy infected prasad from some local shop for 100, you can park there for free.

I've heard and read a lot about this temple and I was totally shocked and amazed to see so many rats there. It's nothing less than a miracle. Needs a bit of maintenance as there are always rats roaming around. More cleaning needed. They charge extra for taking pictures even outside the main temple, which I think is unnecessary.

The world Famous Rat Temple...... Karni Mata mandir is an experience that must not be missed. The place is full of rats that run around. It's not at all scary as they do not harm. An interesting place to visit in Bikaner. 8kms from the center. You need to take a rickshaw to go until there. This is an institute of research. Around 350 camels live there, white , brown or black camels. The best time to see all the camels is after 3pm during the feed time. There is a small museum and possibly to ride with one for 50rs. Entry fees : 200rs for foreigners

It's a fun place to be spent with kids and family. The area is huuuge with a lot of camels around. They have tried to create sand dunes also which wasn't much. They give ice cream, kulfi, flavored milk made of camel milk that were okayish.

We went this past friday. Winter timings- 1:00-6:00 PM. Clean and well maintained. You can try camel milk kesar kulfi there, it was ok in taste. We also wanted to try camel milk peda, but it was not prepared. Camel milk is salty in taste. We got a ride on camel for hundred each. The uncle who handles the camel is very nice as he helps you click the photo and everything. Please give him hundred or 50 as a tip. There is museum too and you can check there garden plus rearing of camels.

Only place so it is unique that's y giving 4 star but need lot of improvisation when tourist are visiting. There can be proper way to go from one site to another. There can be a compulsory guide to explain the things. There can be proper shops to buy the products. I was expecting a lot but got disappointed, got confused where to go what site is what, lot of stray dogs running, didn't understand anything about the camels present there. My suggestion is increase the price and make it a tourist attraction.

Very fun place to learn about camels in the region! Museum was informative, I wish there were more displays and explanations. Camels seemed happy and had lots of space, thank you for the nice visit. Definitely try the kulfi and the coffee!! Wow! Please note the times it opens has changed, it is not open until the afternoon.

A very over priced activity. We are foreigners so had to pay 200r, the centre itself is very small and almost no signage There is a stable with a number of bull camels, then young males, an enclosure for adult females with a dairy to milk them, and a pen with young camels. They have all the different species of camels there. They do research and run breeding programs, but all you can see are just lots of camels and be charged a lot for that. We were finished in under 15 minutes. You can also buy camel products and get a camel ride. Not worth it.

Very Unique organization. Camels can be seen only after 3 PM. There are stores inside the complex who sell products made out of camel hair, bone and skin. Wanted to taste kulfi made from camel milk, but it was not available.

The person at ticket counter doesn’t use DIGITAL PAYMENT; an absolute dinosaur and total inconvenience. The opulence is extra ordinary, but that’s all. All that glitters is not gold; go for Gangasinghji State meuseum much better in quality.

Exclusive spot to watch migratory birds during winter season where you can watch spoon bills cranes, sand goose, showlers, demosial crane and many others. Normally most part of the lake is shallow so these can easily found their food and simultaneously safe from their hunters like dog, fox. Wild boars are also found here and it's essential to keep a safe distance from them because they are really wild and can attack swiftly. The part of lake besides the palace is deep otherwise mostly it's shallow. Roaming around the lake gives a feel of really wild. During rainy seasons people came here for picnic. Actually there are two lakes one is adjoining the Gajner Palace hotel and other part is towards village, which comes first when you enter here, that they use only for drinking water source so no any swimming, bathing or washing clothes is allowed on this part. The part towards the palace is property of the hotel.

This place have its historical importance. It's a fort about 800 years back which was attacked and destroyed by muslim envadors. Few destroyed structures are present there . But now this place is converted into a park which is loaded with a museum which shows the art and culture of this place and tradition and tall building carved from stone shows how better the architecture was about 800 years back.

Shri Laxminath temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi ke nath). Locals of bikaner popularly refer the deity as Nagro Seth meaning Nagar ka seth or the King of the town. Various small temples are there in temple premise. This is the place where foundation stone of Bikaner was laid. Attending aarti at this place is whole unique experience so if you are there don't miss the morning aarti. There is a garder where kids can enjoy. However local government need to take towards the cleanliness and maintenance of the temple premise and garden. It actually pains to see that such a important place is getting neglected by the local government.

LAXMINATHJI TEMPLE -This is a waishnav temple devoted to Lord Laxminath Ji. It was constructed during the reign of Rao Lunkaran ji (A.D. 1505-1526) Lord Laxminath ji was venerated by the rulers of Bikaner as the state deity this temple is visited on all auspicious occasions by the royal family to pry homage to the protector of the state. In a royal procession a painting depicting this kind of statue can be seen amongst the mural paintings in the back gallery of the Gaj Mandir palace in the Junagarh fort the rulers of Bikaner till rao Kalyanmal ji lived in fort which was situated just oppoisite this temple. It is here that foundation of Bikaner was laid by Rao Bikaji in 1488 AD during the reign of maharaja Ganga Singh ji (A.D. 1881-1943) this temple add a grant of five villages from the state and some shops the income from which was spert on its up keep and management.

A place not be missed when in Bikaner, I was so surprised by its neatness and well lighted displays. Many of the big museums of Indian cities were put to shame by this small museum run by Rajasthan government. Opens up only at 12 P.M and entry fee is ₹20/person/Indian. No charges for photography on mobiles. They’ve got artefacts from the Gupta Age right down to the time of the last Maharajahs of Bikaner.

Maharaja Ganga state Museum at Bikaner, is a wonderful collection and beautiful essence of Rajputana culture. Museum is fantastically desinged which describes the history of our Raja's and their kingdom. The huge potrays and the statues are so amazing which create the scenerio of that time. It icludes antique and royal items which are in use by the soldiers, musicians, painters, workers etc. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit at very low cost about 10₹ only because i am an indian student. For othere visitors it costs 20₹.

Very interesting place to visit. It is recently renovated. The museum has been decided in two floors. Ground floor showcases some clothes, arms, utensils and artworks from Bikaner state. At First floor you will see coins gallery which is very very interesting, and sculptures gallery which contains earthen and stone sculptures from Gupta periods and onwards. Letters from Mughal emperors show the great relationship of Bikaner state with Mughals. A must see place even if you are not very interested in history.

Staff are not good I have visited at prachina museum at near by closing hours They allowed me enter museum but soon after they told that it's closed I have to come out from museum without visiting entire museum. I told them it still some minutes left in closing hours. But didn't allow me

Nice museum with a lot of ancient arts. You can see here a lot of things which were used by Kings and queens at that time.

Jaisalmer War memorial is worth visiting if you are a fan of memorials. We spent around 3 hours here and is a great depiction of India and its brave heroes who have fought to protect us and give us the safe space of staying here. The quotes, pictures, stories can leave your teary if you feel the essence of it. Its on way to Jaisalmer and reasonable ticketing and pricing facility. The audio and video show was also good.

Prachina Bikaner Cultural Centre and Museum is a collection of royal and heritage objects from the house of Bikaner. It has everything preserved of the royal family like costumes, furniture, paintings, crockery and much more. If you are going to Junagarh Fort do visit this beautiful museum. It takes around 30-40 min to explore this place. The entry ticket is very nominal for Indian Tourist.

Very cool place. It includes food and drink and accommodation. This hotel remains open for 24 hours. It is not co-operative, yet it is a cool place.

This museum depicts the rich cultural heritage of the rulers of Bikaner, their customs, dresses, meeting halls, paintings, portraits, crockeries and many more. Do take a guide who will take 500 rupees for the whole museum plus fort tour. Approximately you need 30 min to explore all the things. A small cafe is there where you can get some cold drinks like stuffs.
