La Concha beach is a sandy and shell-shaped beach located in the Bay of La Concha in San Sebastian, Spain. It is one of the most popular beaches in the city and features restaurants and more. The beach stretches over a kilometer and a half from Miramar Palace down to the town hall close to Old Town (Parte Vieja).
Beautiful beach with nice clear water. Perfect escape for a quick swim. Be aware Atlantic Ocean is quite cold 😅😅. Really busy during sunny days.
Ioannis Charalampidis — Google review
La Concha is my one of my favorite beaches in the world. Id even go as far as saying its 10 times better then any beach in my hometown state of California. Clean white sand, plenty of space, and clear warm water. Perfect place for a couple days of relaxation and contemplation. Facilities include: *showers and footwash stations *benches and rentable chairs/umbrellas *bars and restaurants *life guards *bathrooms Anything not listen is within a block away. There were no pushy hustlers or obnoxious guests our entire stay at the beach. We absolutely look forward to returning.

What an amazing beach! It is such a beautiful thing to have such a great beach right in the city centre. It was crowded when the weather was good but nothing too wild. Sea is clean and bright, sand is soft. They have all the facilities you might need, lockers, showers, toilette.
Ela Jurko — Google review
Perfect beach for walking, riding bikes, taking a walk for your dog, swimming and so on. Very beautiful both daytime and nighttime.
Anna — Google review
Mesmerizing beach to sunbath, recharge your batteries and taking a cold swim. At the beginning nearer to the city it's more crowded to the end less, but the sand is also more rough there.
Michail Kosak — Google review
Upon arriving in San Sebastián, we went to this spot first. Very lovely beach with sparkling blue water. A huge marina and many street vendors. Cool area to walk around.
Robin Mehera — Google review
Gorgeous beach in Donostia!! The tide makes a big difference in how much of the beach is exposed. There is almost none available at low tide! There are a bunch of staircases down to the beach, lots of benches and a nice (well-lit) side walk to walk alone the cove from the street level. The beach offers great views of the hills, the water, the sailboats and the row of buildings behind. Don't forget to spend some time just taking it all in!
Rebecca L. — Google review
Very large and wide city beach. For surfing the spot is rather unsuitable because the waves outside must be very large, so that in the protected bay surfable waves arrive.
Pascal Maurice — Google review
Iconic beach in the heart of the city. It was packed but it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Really nice, family atmosphere. Very safe, with a lifeguard service running from 10am. The sea was calm, clean and not too cold in mid-July!
Jamie Coles — Google review
Beautiful sandy beach! Enjoyed it for the day and it weren’t too busy! Lost myself to the noose of crashing waves and sun on my face! A highlight of SB for me for sure
Thai Hoang — Google review
As a beautiful beach. . La Concha beach... Concha is in spanish language, means is seashell as similarity of the shape. As famous beach, many people enjoy the beach, you can just seat on park bench with the beach view or taking a stroll or do sport. Alongside the fine golden sand with its lenght more than 1.300 metres makes perfect beach for barefoot walk. It is also well-equipped and offers all sorts of services such as toilet, locker & changing room, and lifeguards if summer.

I had a very nice experience, even the beach was full of people if you walk further away you can find empty spots where you can be comfortably. The beach was clean barely seen any trash. Great for family’s, couples, at sunset time i saw people walking with their dogs also. ( dog friendly beach)
Olívia Kapitány — Google review
Somewhat crowded when it's sunny and warm but considering it's in the city center. Beautiful view of the harbour, Santa Clara Island. The water is clean and not as cold as expected from the Atlantic Ocean. There are changing rooms free of charge under the board walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants.
Brian Tran — Google review
Probably one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. We were there in October, the weather was perfect - chilly enough to wear a windbreaker, and warm enough at times to have a t-shirt on. The beach is shaped like a crescent moon, and it literally feels like you're walking on a postcard. The waves were super tiny, given the position of the coastline, so walking right up to the water line with your shoes isn't a problem. If you visit this city, then you'll surely go to this beach - it's a hot spot for tourists.
Pete Marchica — Google review
Beautiful crystal clear water much better than on the Mediterranean side. The beach is good, it's an ideal place for a swim, no wonder why thousands of people everyday here. And there are cafés, restaurants up on the street and a shady place you can sit just under the stair looking over the beach.

what a beautiful beach. lovely yellow sand. Quiet busy but not congested. I had a great time paddling. A mix of ages and genders.
Karen Griffiths — Google review
A nice beach in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and Europe in general. Great place to get away and have a relaxing time laying on the sand, enjoying the sun and the spectacular view. The water is a little cold though. An excellent option if you’re visiting Donostia. Highly recommended!

Azpeitia Railway Museum

Rail museum
Museums
The Azpeitia Railway Museum is a compact but impressive museum showcasing various steam and diesel locomotives, as well as exhibits featuring railway uniforms, tools, and vintage photographs. Despite its limitations in size, the museum offers visitors a fantastic opportunity to learn about the history of rail transportation through engaging displays and informative collections.
The railway museum is an amazing place with a lot to see and do. You can explore train carriages from different eras, even go under a real train! The hall of machine tools from the former mechanical workshop is particularly impressive, especially when you see it in action. It takes about an hour to see all of the exhibits, and I highly recommend visiting!
Evgeny Goroshko — Google review
great experience!
He Eva — Google review
Excellent railway museum, 3 Euros entrance fee. There are static displays of various trains and other rolling stock both outside and in a large shed. Most displays have descriptions written in Spanish, Basque, French and English. The is also a workshop (see picture) and a section which has displays of timekeeping (watches and clocks) and uniforms. The staff were very helpful and as it was not overly busy when I arrived, one of the staff came around part of the museum to assist me. As a wheelchair user I can recommend this museum, access is very good across all the site, with a lift to access the upper floors. The staff were very helpful giving just the right level of support without being overbearing. I did need to skip the front castors a bit to get over the train tracks (these are inset into the floor outside), but it was not too problematic. I believe there is a steam train which you can ride on for an extra fee, but I did not go on this. I am therefore unsure if this is wheelchair accessible. This is an interesting museum, especially if you are a train enthusiast. It is accessible and has excellent staff. Recommended for a trip out.

Nature & Parks
Urgull is a historic military site turned lush green paradise, known as one of the three lungs of the city with panoramic ocean and city views. Visitors can explore winding paths, hidden staircases, overgrown statues and remnants of mosaic tile floors surrounded by nature. The highlight is the impressive Christ statue which offers stunning Instagram-worthy views. A light walk to reach it takes visitors through crowded areas with a halfway bar offering nice views. Sturdy shoes and water are recommended for this journey.
I’d recommend hiking around sunrise.. Went in the winter and it was beautiful and warm in the sun.

Beautiful site. Worth the hike up. Great view of the city. Amazing sunset
liat killner — Google review
May 2023 A nice walk to the top with an amazing view of the city, especially on a clear day. We started our walk from the city centre and then went down on the other side. We were completely lost. We ended up in the port area, and it wasn't too easy to find out way back. You know the streets are crazy and nothing east/west, north/south. Always on a diagonal or curving. A taxi ride back to our starting point saved us. Always an adventure!
K P — Google review
Magical place with winding pathways, hidden staircases, overgrown statues, and remnants of mosaic tile floors being taken back by nature. It's about the journey and not the destination. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
Rae Siebels — Google review
Beautiful scenic view from the top. Worth the relatively quick walk. You don't need hiking shoes but flip flops won't do. You could probably summit in 30-40 minutes, but I'd suggest a leisurely hour each way.
Audrey Kim — Google review
Fantastic panoramic views of the city. A must see on your first visit. Try to climb on a clear, sunny day to best experience it all. You would be mad to not enjoy a beverage on top!
Michael Johns — Google review
You can take a light walk and get up to the monument of Jesus Crist. There is a bar half way, with a nice view. Take into account that it is crowded.
Celeste Lorenzin — Google review
Stiff walk to the top and worth the effort. Lovely view to the island in the middle of the bay, to Monte Igueldo (a nicer walk than the funicular on the other side of the bay) and across the town
David Crowe — Google review
If you are in the city for a couple days make sure you go there and enjoy beautiful views of the city, sea and the mountains. You can easily rest and sunbathe but dont forget to take some water with you before climbing!

Itzurun

Outdoor Activities
Itzurun is a sandy beach with towering cliffs that extend into the sea, making it a popular spot among surfers. The area is also notable for its scenic caves that are easily accessible and offer opportunities for exploration. While there is limited parking near the beach, visitors can find free spots within a short walking distance. It's an attractive destination for everyone, not just Game of Thrones fans who appreciate its beauty as seen in the show's first episode of season seven.
Love this beach! Sea was clear and lovely, there is enough shade because of the rocks. There is a public toilette and showers and you need maybe 10 minutes from the bus station to reach it. A little bar on the edge has coffee, drinks and snacks.
Ela Jurko — Google review
This is one of my favorite beaches in Gipuzkoa. Parking is pretty easy, park around Amaia Plaza, pay at one of the machines, then walk a few blocks straight to the beach. There are bathrooms and a small restaurant. The beach is smaller than others but the sand is soft and there are plenty of people to watch as well as beautiful views to enjoy.
Angela Castañeda — Google review
An amazing beach with unique geological formations that lets you see the individual layers of the adjacent cliffs. Not crowded at all when I visited in late March. A few surfers and some people with doggos. Fantastic views and landscapes.
Emil Oprisa — Google review
It's a lovely beach with nice hiking routes around. If you want to get here, it's better to park in the free parking called "Parking Zumaia" which is on the dock yard where the boats/ships are docked. It's a 15 mins walk from the parking spot to the beach. It's hard to drive up close to the beach as there are no public parking spots and most are one way streets.
Sree Ch — Google review
I was expecting a throwaway Game of Thrones tourist site, but the views and the beauty of the beach is spectacular. Parking is a little complicated unless you are just there for a couple of photos.
Eugene Ong — Google review
We came here because of Game of Thrones episode 1 season 7th, very beautiful beach and also nice caves around in which you can walk in and explore inside, if you want free parking near to beach you need to pass through mark no entry only for hotel visitors, but than it's very easy to find free place and to beach you will walk maximum 5 minutes.
Martin Štoder — Google review
An absolute lovely sight with all the cliff area. I only found out after that it is a Game of Thrones sight. It‘s an attraction for everyone and not just GoT fans. Hang out a little, watch the surfers and breathe in the ocean breeze... 👌🏼
Matthias Klatt — Google review
Itzurun Beach is one of the most spectacular areas. Its huge and the vertical cliffs and the limestone walls that reach the 150 metres of slope will attract visitors, where they will be able to admire a geological phenomena called flysch caused by the erosion of the sea throughout the years. Public services avaliable, as well as life guard.

Fine dining restaurant
If you are looking for some of the best fine dining in the city, book a table at Arzak. This traditional Basque restaurant has been around for over 100 years and still manages to create innovative dishes with fresh ingredients. With a Michelin star rating, it is clear that this restaurant is worth a visit!
Had such a wonderful experience at Arzak for our anniversary. Also had the pleasure of meeting chef Elena in person. She’s so lovely and warm. Service crew was impeccable. Food was top notch. Well deserving 3 Michelin star.
Anna Wong — Google review
Tasting menu, amazing food and good service. English is still a bit of a challenge and that takes away something from the experience if one does not talk Spanish. Great respect for produce: little done to let them shine. Loved the amuse with chicken, the avocado ice cream was something out of this world and the duck was absolutely perfectly cooked. The marbled egg something to try again. Good wines as well to complement the dinner.
Simona Covaliu — Google review
Unpretentious, friendly and unique - in Arzak we embarked on a journey to rediscover familiar flavors and textures. Meticulously prepared courses, beautifully presented without being loud or pompous and skillfully paired with the right wines. The menu was well thought and designed to bring you on a journey to discover sea and land, with references to the traditional local cuisine. The legacy can be felt as well as the evolution that Arzaks have persistently worked for over the years, elevating consistently what once used to be traditional. The highlights were many. Lamb and seaweed in one of the courses brought the mere essence of Basque Country on a plate telling a story that combines masterfully the mountain and the sea. The service was impeccable, the staff humble, professional and vivid contributed to the positive experience. If Arzak is not the reason to visit the area, it definitely deserves your attention. Highly recommended.

I first went to arzak 6 years ago and I always regarded it as the best meal of my life, and I've been very lucky to have visited quite a few other 2&3 star restaurants since then. However, I felt the meal today was a little disappointing. On the plus side the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and very accommodating with my wife unable to attend at the last minute. On the negative side the plates just felt a little flat and bar the egg dish none of them felt really memorable. The biggest issue for me was the tempo, tasting menu including coffee done in a little over an hour which just felt very rushed.

Arzak, an iconic restaurant nestled in San Sebastián, holds a special place in the Basque culture, and our experience truly emphasized its significance. Upon stepping foot into Arzak, we embarked on a culinary journey like no other. Opting for the tasting menu, we were treated to a remarkable display of creativity and artistry. Each dish showcased the restaurant's renowned originality, expertly crafted with meticulous attention to detail. It is no wonder that Arzak has become a revered gastronomic destination, attracting visitors from all corners of the globe who eagerly indulge in the seasonal seven-course tasting menu, available both at lunch and dinner. Amidst the fervor surrounding Arzak's innovative approach, it remains deeply rooted in the culinary traditions of the Basque country. This captivating region, spanning both France and Spain, boasts a rich gastronomic heritage, and Arzak pays homage to its roots. It is worth noting that Basque country has long fostered talented female chefs, and Arzak stands as a testament to their remarkable contributions. One cannot overlook the key to Arzak's resounding success—their unwavering ability to continually conceive astounding dishes. Both Elena, the present chef, and her father pour their hearts and minds into the pursuit of culinary excellence, ceaselessly pushing boundaries and embracing the new and unique. Our overall experience at Arzak was nothing short of extraordinary. We relished every moment, savoring the symphony of flavors that danced on our palates. It was a testament to the dedication and passion that Chef Arzak and his team infuse into each and every dish. Arzak truly embodies the essence of Basque cuisine, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary landscape. Indulge in an unforgettable dining adventure at Arzak, where tradition meets innovation, and the legacy of Chef Arzak continues to shine brightly, captivating hearts and palates alike.

The food is as great as advertised. Every course exceeded our expectations. Great service and very friendly. Elena even visited our table twice. I didn’t know that I needed fried garlic soup or corn ice cream in my life until today. Ignore the negative reviews and trust the experts at Michelin

A very special place, for a special experience of a 3 star restaurant! The food is very delicious and nicely presented. The service was excellent, very warm and friendly, but not too much. The wines were very special!
Wen Zhang — Google review
Customer service was exceptionally bad! The waiter threw the menu on the table. And when asked what wine he’ll recommend for the dishes, he dismissively said whatever I want. What’s the point of a wine connoisseur. The worst Michelin service of all time! How did this kind of waiter/service even make it to the Michelin list? Total disappointment.
Miss Cool — Google review
Hasn’t disappointed on any visit. From the extreme quality and presentation of the food to the perfect wine suggestions and the most attentive service I’ve experienced.
Yosh Maga?a — Google review
Carve out 3+ hours for your lunch. It is a Michelin three star dining experience. There is only a tasting menu, which is excellent. Some of the highlights, after service, which was fantastic; a brined tartare fish (mackerel) w Jerusalem artichokes , the pigeon, along with monk fish, and the hors d' oeuvres, were thoughtful and a blend of simplicity and complexity. The staff is kind enough to give you a quick directive on each dish, Deserts were light, and true art, but we are partial to salt. You will need a reservation, and know there is only tasting menu, which with out wine pairing is 240€, I believe the wine pairing was 430€, took us a bit by surprise for lunch. They are a fair amount of casually dressed tourists, no stress on attire.
The Foodie — Google review
If I could give 6 stars I would! Arzak was the most incredible fine dining experience of my life so far. The food was of course exceptional with the pigeon being a highlight: it was outstanding. What elevated Arzak was the homely, friendly feel: it was a joyous evening in which I not only enjoyed the food, but smiled throughout because of the friendly and good humoured service. We had the tasting menu, but this was tailored to ensure we both had individual experiences; albeit shared. Without question one of the highlights of my gastronomic journey so far. Thank you!
Gavin Boyd — Google review
Disappointed! All the dishes were below average, be it the technique, plating (pls check out the photos taken), use of tableware and taste is worst than many 1-star restaurants. We were so upset after spending almost 600€ for such an overrated restaurant. Service was good but it’s not justified for what it claimed.
Maggie Cheung — Google review
This was the best we've ever had! Everything is inventive and super yummy. The new Sommelier is awesome as is the all the staff. We went without the pairing and ordered wine separately. This way we were able to try even more delights.
Craig Spisak — Google review
A ⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience! Our expectations were high but they were met in all aspects. The food wine pairings were perfect! I very much loved the sweet txakoli wine with the apple dessert. This place was well worth making a reservation 3 months in advance!
Claire Stoddart — Google review
This place is just an institution. The first impression left us a bit unsure due to quite large amount of tables and quite a busy atmosphere but after the first bite the only thing we were thinking was that we’re fortunate to have a chance to enjoy the masterpieces coming out of the kitchen. Every single dish was just balanced to the point of pure serenity. They have a large arsenal of dishes to substitute if something isn’t exactly to your liking but our warmest suggestion is to explain your wishes and then fully trust the team. Service and wine: Everyone was attentive and kind, we were guided through the menu with precision and the wine suggestion was on point with our flavour profile description. Atmosphere: Fine dining institution which was packed to the last seat during our visit. It can happen you have a slight waiting time going to the restrooms because of that :) While photos don’t do it justice, adding a few nevertheless.

Food, Pairing Wines, and Services were just above the charts! Basque cuisine was beautifully presented and the wine pairing is the one not to be missed!!!! Every dish and wine were just so amazingly working together. We were so over the moon when we left the restaurant after this wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
Trista Wang — Google review
There is quite simply nothing that compares to Arzak. We have been blessed to experience multiple Michelin Three Star restaurants and all are wonderful culinary symphonies. What elevates Arzak is the art of hospitality. There is no pretentiousness, no judgment of the guest. If there is something you don’t prefer on the tasting menu, the service team effortlessly comes up with a different plan and verifies that it will work for you. Chef Elena makes multiple passes through the dining room, meaningfully engaging with her guests and even referencing previous talking points. I have never witnessed this behavior at an establishment of this caliber. The team has passion for their craft, loves their guests and are led with inspiration. Guess what. You taste it in the food…it has soul. Cesar served us years ago when a relative of a colleague booked a reservation, and we had done no research to know what we were getting into. When we told him we couldn’t handle a full tasting menu, he crafted something that gave us the essence of the Arzak experience and it was exquisite. Cesar arranged a tour of the kitchen and even took a photo with me. I never forgot Cesar’s hospitality. Imagine my surprise last week when Cesar began reviewing the tasting menu with the table next to us! The night ended with a long conversation about how Cesar had found his way to Arzak and the special brand of hospitality that can be found there. If you have to choose one meal, this is it.

Bar
Tapas bar
Bar Sport is a popular late-night spot in Barcelona for locals and tourists to enjoy good food and lively atmosphere. Its menu features ox cheek croquettes as well as ham croquettes, which are some of the most popular pintxos items on the menu.
This place is amazing! Still thinking about the food hours after lunch. Not too busy on Tuesday for lunch, got a seat pretty quickly. Must order: beef cheek, foie gras, pig feet (they cut it up and shaped it in a wheel). See urchin was good but too rich for me
Anita Tang — Google review
Once in San Sebastian, the best bar I've ever tasted! You can enjoy very good food in a very busy restaurant and with a fast working staff. I was able to experience the local atmosphere. Very satisfied. I would like to go back when I come to San Sebastian.
Mozuku — Google review
After reading all about the Pintxos at Bar Sport, we are finally here to try it out for ourselves. First of all it was very packed inside, the place is small and holds about 3 tables that seats about 10 people, the rest were standing at the bar or outside that has about 2 barrel like table to rest your drink or food. It was a bit confusing at the beginning of how to order. The menu is small and translated in different languages. It's helpful to ask other customers how they ordered to have an idea. The servers are very busy and trying to help out everyone, so try to get their attention once you know what you would like to order. The Pintxos are very delicious, and so it the beef cheeks😋. I would definitely recommend this place if you visit San Sebastian.
Reshma Tarachand — Google review
So good we went back here twice and would’ve went here a third time if we stayed in San Seb longer, it can be hard to find a table as it’s very busy so you may just need to stand and eat at the bar. The sea urchin cream was #1 pintxos of the entire trip, creamy and umami perfect for dipping bread into, also loved the tender beef cheeks and mashed/whipped (?) potato, it tastes like the filling of a really good beef gravy pie, the crab crepe was also tasty but if we had to choose one seafood it would be the sea urchin. They also serve foie gras over bread for a reasonable price if you’re into that! Service is quick, friendly and very honest - we mistakenly paid with a bigger € note and the server pointed this out to us which was appreciated :) Top tip though is to know what you want to order and be decisive, they are so busy and don’t have much time to spend on a single order so I’m sure they appreciate it when you tell them clearly what you want. They have menus in different languages including English and Japanese but a little Spanish still goes a long way, so get practicing!
Jerry — Google review
I’m obliged to give 5 stars because their pintxos are just sublime. Every single one of what we ordered was insanely delicious. It was surely super crowded, and it wasn’t easy at all to place an order. But I’m not going to complain if food is that good ;)
Yifei Chen — Google review
Best pintxos we had in San Sebastian! Txipirones were excellent, but it was the cream of uni/sea urchin that I'm still thinking about a few days later. Be prepared to fight for space, it's deservedly popular. The much celebrated tempura prawns were average, but that was the only disappointment, and a mild one at that.
Kate Walker — Google review
Great pinchos, friendly service! Great spot in the city, fresh dishes that are delicious. The bravas, calamari , and foie gras were amazing. Paired with a nice beer or cider. Has a few indoor tables to sit at which is nice too. Oddly, not a lot of sports on the televisions :) but who could pay attention to anything but the food anyway! Can’t wait to go back!

Fun fact: Bar sport does not play sport - just a name! Tiny hamburgers for the win. So beefy and delicious and comes with a small order of shoestrings. Wish we had time and stomach space to try more as many things look good.

The food here is exquisite and for the amount of food you get it’s totally worth the price!! We got pintxo de foie a la plancha (a must if you don’t mind the fattiness), bacalao (cod), croquetas de jamón (they also have one of mushroom/hongos), mini hamburguesa de ternera, chipirón rellena de txangurro (a type of crab from the north) and a couple of vermut. Everything was super delicious and you can’t be wrong. The service here is also quite great. The servers are very funny and attentive to every guest. This was one of the only places open on Xmas day, so granted there were a lot of tourists and also locals, and it was busy. But the service was still great! The environment is also quite comfy with plenty of bar stables (standing) and tables. 100/10 experience and highly recommended!

One of the must visit places in San Sebastian. Crema de erizo, crepe with crabmeat, grilled squid all delicious! Very friendly and efficient service. Order off the menu. There will probably be a line outside- give your name to the waiter and he will call you when a table is ready.

It was a shame that they didn’t have sea urchins when I visited in September. The price is reasonable and the food they have is tasty. Shrimp frites, foie gras, grilled squid are what we eat. Everything was delicious. At night, this bar is very very crowded. I have good news that this bar is open from 11am. This bar is also good for breakfast or lunch.

This is my second time in San Sebastián and I went out of my way to find this place again. Excellent pinxtos at a fair price. The patatas bravas are among the best you’ll find in San Sebastián. Thé foie gras was also quite decent. A bit crowded but otherwise great service and ambiance. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favour and order the squid stuffed with crabmeat and grilled fois gras. The steak skewer and sea urchin cream were also excellent. Service was also good compared to other bars. One of the best pintxos we’ve had in Old Town so far.

This place deserves the hype it has! Be ready for the chaos. It will be hard to get a seat, order and get a place to eat. But it is worth it! The highlights for me were: > The Grilled Foie Gras > The Sea Urchin > The Fried Calamari Give it a try, you won't regret it! Expect to pay about 15eur p/person

An amazing spot, don’t miss the pintxo foie, also a big fan of the bacalao, simple but still incredible…be aware the mini hamburguesas are usually quite raw, but u can ask for extra crispyness, waiters are super nice and accommodating!spot s ok large but usually super busy so be ready to get in line and perhaps standing to eat these deliciousness. Overall definitely recommended, quality of the food s insane!

What an amazing find! Was recommended to come here to try their sea urchin soup. Did not disappoint! All of the food was very good like the squid filled with crab meat, the shrimps with bacon and the beers were cold.

Tasty pintxos, the pig's feet was delicious, the sweet breads were good too, overall tasty pintxos except my girlfriend got the "slider" which was pretty average.

This was the highlight of our trip! One of the most incredible pintxos in San Sebastián. Really surprised that bar sport doesn’t have a Michelin star yet! The sea urchin cream/bisque is sublime! And the mini hamburgers were superb! The bravas are one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The service is very quick and excellent, thank you for the amazing food!

Like most Pintxos bars in San Sebastian's old town, Bar Sport is heaving with people, and that is a clear sign that the food is top notch!! Fight your way to the bar to place your order, it's well worth it!! We tried the foie gras (for which Bar Sport is reputedly renowned) and the cod, washed down with the typical Basque Sidra (dry cider). The cod was delicately cooked, moist and melted in your mouth. The foie gras was simply devine. Definitely one of the best Pintxos bars, and worthy of a stop. If you're lucky, they do have a limited number of sit-down tables with chairs, which you are more likely to get if you're eating at lunchtime, or come early in the evening.

If you love good eating and exciting atmospheres, La Cuchara de San Telmo is the place for you. The restaurant attracts a mix of locals and tourists due to its modern style and delicious food. It can be quite stressful trying to get a table here but it's definitely worth it when you do!
Must say this place is really an experience, food quality is top, we ate carrileras, pulled pork style pork, some grilled octopus, not my favorite but still I don’t like grilled food so that probably helps. Finally ‘cochinillo’, served with a crusty cover and some jam, olive 🫒 sauce that is a bit sweet and sour at the same time. Overall, very good 🤩

Suckling pig was vv good! And the squid ink risotto. It was very very crowded tho and was hard to find a spot to stand. Had to try rather hard to get the server's attention to order food. Can try to experience

Very good place for authentic food from the Basque country. Concise menu but with the right alternatives to spend a great night Or lunch in the company of friends and family. Prices accessible to everyone. The team very Friendly and helpful. You have to arrive a little earlier to wait for a table. Everybody wants to eat here. That's why don't miss it.

The veal cheeks (carrerillas) are INCREDIBLE. You must try them. The octopus was also delicious. If you would like to be seated on the terrace, just ask them when you order. I wish we would have realized that before. We came for lunch and I would recommend going then. Dinner time gets fairly busy.

i can’t describe how tasty the food is! every dish was excellent! we tried the crispy pork, the codfish orzo, the blood pudding and the beef tongue! fast and easy to communicate with the friendly stuff ! it’s a must

Absolutely very fun and delicious experience. Tongue was the best part of it. Unfortunately many items were sold out at the time we arrived. Octopus was good, but will try grilled version of it. Update: grilled octopus is amazing, but the cheek is out of this world. Razor clams are soooo flavorful. Tongue is still the best, in my opinion.

Love it! The food is amazing, portions great (you can choose between multiple sizes) and the service is good. If you’re around, don’t miss it. It was super busy though, many people waited in line - it does help to come a little early and take a seat at one of the tables outside.
Djon Kleine — Google review
The food was delicious. We ordered the veal cheeks, cod, clams, pork, roasted creamed beets, and drinks. The servings were smaller than the norm and especially for the prices. Unfortunately, what was worse was that we waited a while for a table outside, then we waited more to get our table cleaned to sit down, then to get our order taken, then to clear off our plates, and then to bring us our bill. I saw only one waiter and he always appeared super busy. I walked in twice and both bartenders quickly offered service but I shouldn't need to walk in when the waiter should be accessible.

We had a variety of pinxhos including foie, octopus, crispy pork and ox tongue. All exceeded expectations. Friendly, playful yet efficient service. A nice San Sebastián pinxho experience indeed.

If i have to choose only 1 tapas, My fav is baby pig and pasta seafood. The place was packed but they serve very quick. Just try to get some mini space and enjoy the food!

Pintxos were around 7€ per piece which was good for one person but even at that price, I would say it’s worth it. I came back to visit this place twice. That cochinillo was so heavenly, I couldn’t help but exclaim how good it was after my first bite. The beef cheek was so soft and tender, it basically melts in your mouth. Beware of how many people there are here, you just have to find a place in any table to eat while standing. But honestly, it’s part of the whole experience here in San Sebastián. Staff speaks english because they’re used to tourists coming here everyday.

One of my favourites restaurants in San Sebastián! Their pork belly is a dream come true 😍😋😋😋 their other dishes like the Foie for example are also delicious. Staff is very friendly. Go there early before opening to grab a table otherwise there will be a queue 😅 can’t wait to come back and eat there again 😋👍🏻

Such fun vibes from this little place, just off the main street is such a gem. Food is reasonably priced, quick to come out and the waiters are lovely despite the crowds. Eat standing up at the long bar inside, or if you'd prefer a seated dinner, they have some outdoor seating if you order medium and large plates.

7.5 tried a bunch of stuff with a group it was all pretty new and very good. Goat cheese vegetable thing was pretty good for vegetarians, very large also. Next time try foie gras, they were out. Worth coming again and trying more of each thing.

Loved the food so much that my friends and I came back twice!! It’s definitely hard to get a table to sit and eat especially if you’re ordering almost everything off the menu. You can definitely stand and drink right outside the restaurant or just be cramped in the bar with a bunch of strangers & travellers (this is a better option). All I can say is to try everything off the menu. Their blood sausage and pigs ears were my favourite. Razor clams & pork belly were also my top contenders. I think they change the menu depending on the season as well but this place is not to be missed when you come to San Sebastián!

One of the best pintxos place in Donostia. Creative but simple. Focused firstly on top quality produce and secondary on adding a bit more to the classics. Great technique. Meats are super tasty and tender, sea food is amazing, so are veggies. Highly recommended. Tip: come shorty after opening to even find a space. It’s super popular and overcrowded.

Tapas bar
Atari Gastroleku is a popular tapas bar located in the Old Town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, just steps away from the iconic Santa Maria Church. The establishment features international inspired dishes prepared with care by passionate staff and serves as a relaxing spot to enjoy pintxos and wine in an atmospheric setting.
We were lucky to get a table on a Monday for lunch as they opened but otherwise you should try to book. They only serve the hot dishes to people who are seated. The beef cheek and mash, patatas bravas, olives tuna anchovies & pickled chilli and french toast with a brulee crust are highly recommended. This was the best all round restaurant we tried in San Seb.

Our first destination when we got to San Sebastián! My wife reserved days ahead and that turned out to be a good move. Difficult to get seats. The beef cheeks is a must try. We also got the grilled octopus. The pork was very crispy but a little sour for me. Good service

Delicious pinxtos, authentic atmosphere and amazing service from Jean-Pierre! I was looking for the perfect beef cheek and I found it! Along with some of its tasty tasty friends, the pork belly and the chicken with dragon sauce!! I was asked which one was my favourite, I honestly could not choose, they were all delicious and with gorgeous presentation! I absolutely recommend Atari, it’s worth the wait!

Absolutely loved the food here! We had the bacalao, foie gras and cheese ice cream. The foie gras melts paired well with the sauce and the ice cream flavour was pleasantly unique. Our host was really friendly as well.

Was a little bit let down after seeing the reviews. It was absolutely delicious, but compared to everything else on offer in San Seb, it was just ok (especially the pricing). Obviously it has great views and is more modern than other bars... Just depends on what you want!

Amazing place, excellent and tasty food, nice bar. If you are lucky will find a table, but you can also order at the bar. I did try a couple of "tapas", all very tasty, as starters. As main dish I had the "pulpo a la plancha", so good, you have to try it, awesome dish. They have a lot of drinks: beer, wine, cocktails. Highly recommended.

Absolutely packed later at night, but you eventually get a spot to stand at the bar. The staff behind the counter are really friendly and love a chat. The food here is great. We had the Beef Cheek and Mash - really rich but delicious. Good Keller beer on tap and plenty of Cava and other mixer drinks.

We were lucky to find a spot as this place is clearly very popular! Great variety of pintxos. However, a bit dissapointed by the small dish of tuna as it seemed to come from the can. Service was good overall although a dish was forgotten and we had to remind them about it.

Delicious dishes but on the pricier side. We enjoyed the slow cooked egg dish and carrillera but the foie was a bit too sweet for our taste. Really friendly service.

Everything was perfect we eat 10 pintxos and everyone was incredible. Beef cheek, prawns, foie gras, cod, but also desets cream brulee and pain perdu.... Beuatiful old city of San Sebastian with the most perfect restaurant.

Delicious pincxos and fantastic service! Also potentially the best brownie I have ever eaten.

Ironically we came here because of the main dish: octopus and baked potatoes and that was the only mediocre dish. The rest was so good. Oh my. Best tapas around. True celebration of colorful tastes. Each plate has its own character and each was so good as I can stop thinking about them. Highly recommend to reserve outside. Church view is a million dollar view.

Nice and relaxed environment and great service. TheCroquetas de jamón were ok but could have some more tropezones (ham bits). We also had the ‘huevos a baja temperatura’, that was nice with a rather strong cheese flavor… if you like that, one to try! Next we had the carrilleras (pork cheeks), was nice and tender, however a little on the bitter side Lastly we had the panceta, no ‘but’ here, it was amazing! That one saved the day! Tender and pulling apart easy over a brilliant mustard sauce and hummus (I think).

Pintxos. A myriad of tastes and textures makes them a winner almost everywhere in San Sebastián. But especially here. All the items we ordered were outstanding. And with a frontal view of the basilica to accompany your meal. Outstanding service to boot. Can’t go wrong. Missing in my photos is their superb “French toast” dessert. Definitely a must-eat.

Tapas bar
This pintxos bar in Old Town San Sebastian serves dishes such as risotto, pig's ear, pork ribs and octopus. The bar is popular for its lively atmosphere and fine food. It is reasonably priced and highly rated by locals.
THE BEST!!!! This is the best tapas bar in San Sebastián in my opinion. I went in for a quick dinner and decided to stay until I've tried each and every dish on the menu that evening. The service of fast and very good. If you don't believe me... Just try the risotto and we'll talk after that!

I loved this place. Nice buzz and incredible food. The risotto is a triumph, so good I returned the 2nd night to have it again and will continue to think about it. Pork ribs were delicious too. Beer and food was well priced.

One of my favourites. The food is consistently good. Must try the carrillera, oreja and risotto. Magret was also very nice. Perfect portions to try a bit of everything. Short wait for a table but it is definitely worth it. We ordered at the bar but the wait staff do come around and take orders too. They are extremely busy but food comes out quickly and correctly. Amazing!

Wow! Delicious tapas at extremely reasonable prices. Get ready for a wild ride in there—it gets busy even right at opening time but they have crazy fast service to push these dishes out. Stand at the bar to get a preview of everything amazing that’s coming out of the kitchen. The beef cheeks and kebab were the stars, and we really enjoyed the risotto. Ravioli was alright, but I’d probably swap it for something else next time.
Brooke Dexter — Google review
Definitely try fish of the day, the pork ribs, and the vegetables with mushrooms. The risotto was alright. The service was excellent.

ℹ️ No tomato soup in winter, just an FYI. 🙂 The risotto and pig ears were good. We are happy that we had them, but they are not something we will come back for. The risotto isn’t your typical Italian kind, and has a strong cheesy taste. It’s good, but not something we’d find ourselves craving a lot. As for the pig ears — our country eats pig ears as a delicacy, and although prepared differently, these aren’t overall better than what we are used to eating. If you’ve never had pig ears then it could be worth trying. It has a lot of collagen and a thin layer of cartilage inside. They really cooked it through though so the cartilage is very soft as well and not crunchy. All in all, if we came back to San Sebastián and had weeks to spend then we might come back one day, but if it is just a few days then we will not. Hopefully these information helps you decide how to spend your trip. 😊

Borda Berri has amazing pintxos. Hands down. Every dish is unbelievably tender and fork-able. No need for a knife or hard chewing. I started with the tender veal cheek and cod and each one was cooked to perfection. I also ended up getting the artichoke and pigs ear after watching other people order those dishes because the smell was so awesome. What’s crazy is that the front of house staff just shout orders to the kitchen and somehow everything keeps coming out correctly. Make sure to get in early so you don’t have to battle your way to the bar later when the crowds arrive. Though, even if you have to, the struggle is well worth it 🚀👾

My wife and I visited Borda Berri around opening time on our visit to Donostia, and instantly could see why the place is so popular. As soon as it opens it's filled with a friendly, lively crowd, all there to enjoy the amazing food. We loved the high-energy atmosphere and the food brings this place to another level. Especially recommend the veal cheek and above all the unbelievable risotto, which is one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. Be sure to get the raviolo also because it runs out fast! This place has great character to it, the staff were all amazing and so friendly too, and I would love to visit Borda Berri again.

One of recommended pintxos bars in Donostia. Very tasty food. Risotto of Idiazabal cheese is a must! Taste also kebab of pork ribs. Have local Txakoli wine to complete your Basque experience. Can be crowded but it’s worth it. (Tip: Be punctual at 7:30 to find a slot)

My wife and I spent a month is Donostia, or San Sebastián, and did our fair share of Pintxo crawling. Borda Berri was among the top spots we visited! The place is filled with character—bartenders shout out the orders to the kitchen crew as they pour glasses of cider, the bottles suspended several feet above the glasses to add bubbles to the drinks. We arrived as soon as it opened on a recent evening, and it quickly filled. We had a grilled tomato pintxo stuffed with mozzarella cheese and smothered with olive oil and ground pistachios. It was an excellent mix of textures and tased wonderful! We also tried the rib kabob pintxo, which was cooked perfectly and so tender that it broke apart as we stuck our forks into the meat. Located among the dozens of pintxo restaurants in the city’s historic parte vieja, Borda Berri is a spot you do not want to miss.

This place gets packed! The main woman who runs the bar is amazing. She will whip you and anyone else into line. No messing about and I love her for it. This is no time to be unprepared and not know what you want to order! The Risotto and kebab (pork rib) are their specialities. The entrecôte is also amazing - I think better than the rib.

Amazing and my favorite pintxos bar in San sebastian it is soooo good really. So it opens at 7:30 pm theoretically but practically they open a little earlier at 7:20ish so be there on time to immediately have a spot to be able to order. We were very lucky and got in around 7:25 and could get a nice spot and then started ordering everything of the menu. Super reasonably priced and very tasty from now on this is the spot!! We loved everything we ordered maybe except for de oreja de cerdo which we didn’t realize was pig ear still good but just not used to eat that but seasoning was great. Then the risotto was delicious, the entrecôte super well cooked rare perfect, the gazpacho super deli and all the rest was really amazing. If you are looking for a pintxos spot this is it don’t look further!! Thank you we will be back 😍

Not just any pintxos restaurant. The ingredients were well selected and the recipes were well designed. Must try: tomato soup, cod throat, entrecot, "kebab" pork rib Most popular: risotto Personal favourite: grilled pig's ears Picture: ravioli with squid ink & kimchi

Been to San Sebastián 3 times and this remains a firm favourite, especially after the refurb. Food is fantastic, and although always crazy busy the staff still manage to make it enjoyable.

Recommend arriving here about 10 minutes before it opens - they open the doors early so you can beat the rush, place your order and grab a spot. We had the risotto Idiazabal, "kebab" pork rib and Pig's ear. The risotto was my favourite dish but the kebab was also fantastic. I wasn't a fan of the Pig's ear but that's simply personal preference!

Ummmmm, amazing. It's one of the best pintxos bars. Came Easter weekend, and by the time I walked in, I was so bloody full I could only fit in my stomach the "kebab." A must. Also, try the risotto and beef cheeks and ravioli, which were beyond popular. Will go back in a heartbeat
Helen Arvanitopoulos — Google review
The pintxos here are amazing. We didn’t get a lot of things because we weren’t too hungry. We got Risotto de idiazabal (with the typical cheese of San Sebastián) and “kebab” costilla dr cerdo (basically grilled bbq ribs). The risotto was really creamy and the bbq ribs super tender yet crispy on the outside and a tiny bit sweet with the sauce. The food came out very fast after ordering, and the turnover rate is quite high. It’s difficult to get a seating spot but it’s also quite nice just to stand and chill with friends for a good time. You can’t go wrong with any options you order here, so if you are in San Sebastián, be sure to pay this place a visit! 10/10!
