Church of St. John

Mentioned on
Catholic church
Sights & Landmarks
The Church of St. John is a stunning Baroque chapel located amidst meadows and wooded slopes, complete with a frescoed facade and copper-domed bell tower. Visitors are encouraged to park near the farm and walk around to the church, being mindful of bringing coins for parking and admission fees. It's important to respect the natural environment by staying on designated paths when taking photos or exploring the meadow, while also refraining from flying drones in the area.
It is well worth a visit. I would recommend parking at the lower level, near the farm and then walking around the farm to the church. Keep some coins as the parking meter and the turnstile didn't accept notes or cards. 2€ for parking and 4€ person at the turnstile. To get a good photo, you'll have to walk across the meadow to the front of the church. Stick to the paths already on the meadow. Don't ruin the meadow for the people there. Drones are not permitted. Please respect the privacy of the residents in the area.
Pradeep Chandran — Google review
Got some pretty nice pictures thanks to wild flower season but all in all the view from the platform is better than up close. To get to see it close its 4€ and they only accept cash so be ready for that. Pro tip would be to use a longer lens like 85mm to get the mountains and the church in the photo together.
carolina kokk — Google review
I was very much looking forward to this church, as I've seen pictures of it on Instagram. However, I was quite underwhelmed. First, you cannot walk on the grassy field in front of it, only up close and inside, which you must pay for. There are also a few parking areas nearby, also paid for, to get some views of it from afar. It's all rather touristy. No drones allowed close to it either. It's likely not worth the drive to the village of St. Magdalena just to see it.
Paul Heller — Google review
The reason it looks isolated is because people are discouraged to walk on the meadow. Otherwise it is still quite touristic, cost 4 Euro just to enter the fence.
Ho?ng L? Giang — Google review
You cannot get close to it without paying some amount. The church looks bigger in the pictures than in reality haha you cannot walk on the grass. You can only step onto a little viewpoint where you take pictures, but overall the view is really lovely and I’m happy I was there.
Dominique Jeune — Google review
I guess this place is victim of ils sucess. Clever move for the 4 euros entrante and thé parking. I guess better to go in the late afternoon.
Nico R. — Google review
A dream comes true for professional photographers who has the gears and skill to capture the magical tranquity of the area. For travellers, there is nothing much to do around.
Minh Long — Google review
Disappointing. The church is a 40 min drive from Ortisei. Parking is 4€, plus 4€ more per person if you want to get closer beyond the gate, without getting inside, of course. Did Instagram ruin it and made it too popular thus the ridiculous fees? Most likely. It is pretty but not worth the effort in my opinion.
Delia Soto Mu?oz — Google review
Visually very nice as the church is unobstructed because it's in a vast field with a beautiful mountainous backdrop. There's not much else to see though. The perspective of the church from far and on an elevated vantage point is actually nicer than up close. We did walk around a little and had a coffee in a little place near by. Relaxing stop. It's easier to park farther down the road and walk up as it gets quite busy. And make sure to have cash for payment.
Hoan-Vu La — Google review
Also known as Church of St. Johann, this place is Instagram famous for a good reason. It's a beautiful church surrounded by by green meadows, lush trees and Odle peaks behind it. If you'd like to enter the church or get close you'll need to head to the road to the Ranuihof Farm. There you'll find a gated entry point, where you have to purchase a ticket in order to enter. It costs 4 Euro per person. Bring small cash because the machine only accepts small cash and wont return change. I recommend paying the 4 euros as the chapel is very impressive and there is a series of paintings that tell the story of St. John. •Parking: St. Johann, 39040 Villnöß, Autonome Provinz Bozen - Südtirol We saw people climbing over the fence without shame. Please respect this place, the people and nature.
Elisheva B.A. — Google review
Nice to vist. Good scenery around for pictures. Make sure you bring cash to get in its €4 at the gate. No cards.
Thomas Ormsby — Google review
I know this place is very Instagram famous but being honest; it’s nothing special. The easiest way to reach St John's church is to drive to the Val di Funes and park near the church. You can reach St Johann in Ranui with bus #340 from Bressanone to Brixen. You'll have to get off at the last stop: St. Magdalena in Ranui. Keep in mind, you will pay 4 euro for the car park and then 4 euro to enter the perimeter of the church and the church is closed. It’s good to take pictures here if you are early in the morning.
Koel Ganguly — Google review
Beautiful place, but I was here in the morning, taking photo against sunlight… not a great picture. Afterwards returned in afternoon and was a lot better. To park costs is 4 euro… just for half an hour visit… but ticket was valid for whole dat and used it again for the afternoon.
Huub de Groot — Google review
Beautiful spot with iconic views- the views I'd give 10/10, without a doubt. My husband and I had a lovely time taking in the views and walking around. Be mindful that the parking is sparse so if it's busy I can imagine it being difficult to get a spt. Also, you have to pay to get into the church, which is fine but the machine doesn't take card, so remember to bring coins! There were no toilet facilities here.

Beautiful hike. There are several routes to reach Odle refuge. We did 36 (found recommendations to start with 36 rather than 6) and upon reaching the refuge we decided to head back with 34 due to heavy rain (it's slightly shorter). Parking costs 8 euros but from 2pm it's 4 euros.

The Mineralienmuseum Teis is an outstanding museum that provides excellent options for English speakers. The facility showcases a vast collection of crystals and minerals, which are breathtakingly beautiful. Visitors can explore the exhibits to learn more about these natural wonders, including their formation and characteristics. The museum offers a unique experience for those who are interested in geology or simply admire the beauty of nature. Overall, Mineralienmuseum Teis is an impressive attraction that is well worth visiting.
Fantastic place to bring kids and have them appreciate geology and nature. Museum itself is a small wonder for its assortment of earth minerals and geodes. But the real fun is the hike up a ravine and smashing rocks with the proper equipment and finding various geodes yourself. You will have a hard time getting your kids to leave. It's a fream come true for them, being free to smash rocks and the wonder of surprise when they find glistering geodes inside that they can keep. Bring proper clothing and mountain hiking shoes. Be prepared to get wet and dirty. Not suited for the mobility impaired.

Restaurant Vögele in Bolzano is a well loved, traditional Austrian restaurant that serves a mix of Italian and Germanic food with good flavor and portions. The staff are very nice and accommodating.
A wonderful experience. All of our dishes were well prepared, service was great especially the wine service. One of the better wine lists we’ve seen so far in Bolzano
Robert Alexander — Google review
Wirsthaus Vögele was unequivocally my favorite restaurant on a three-day visit to Bolzano. The other establishments I visited were great too, however Vögele was unquestionably superior. The venue, food, and service were second to none. I highly recommend.
Rob Landers — Google review
It was a very pleasant lunch experience in this restaurant that is located centrally in the old town. The menu offers a limited selection of tasteful and fairly priced dishes. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass and bottles available. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It was quite busy when we visited the place.

Good experience overall in an historic building. Staff very nice and accommodating. Menu is a mix between pasta and Germanic food , good flavor & portion size on par.

A nice restaurant with good food in Bolzano. The tables were however a bit cramped, so there was no private space really and the portions were average. The presentation and taste however, were perfect. Decent prices and a really, really good Hugo cocktail.
Anca Annca — Google review
After googling the best restaurants in Bolzano, I noticed that this restaurant was mentioned across several different lists, so I figured it was a safe bet to try. We made reservations the day before we planned to go and had no issues there. When we walked in and gave my name for the reservation, we were handed a coaster with our table number written on it and sent off. I had never encountered a seating situation like that before. So we nervously walked up the the first floor, where we were told our table would be and found a couple of waiters to show us the rest of the way to our table. From there, we accidentally ordered a liter of wine, an appetizer to share, a primi patti, a secondi, and a dulce. The service was excellent throughout the whole experience. My boyfriend and I were just two Americans struggling through the cultural differences in Italy, and the waiters here were very kind. I have nothing bad to say, except the small about the awkward seating at the beginning of our experience. If you ever happen to in Bolzano, I highly recommend you try out Vögele!

Such a great place to try some local foods 😋 I Loved the vitello schnitzel, so tender. The potatos were a bit oily, but the schnitzel was amazing. The dumplings with Gulash were good, but meat could be more tender. The interior is a vibe & traditional german ambient. Staff were so nice & bright, we felt very welcomed. We payed 90€ for 4 people, food & drink & service (1.8€ service for each)

Hands down best food I’ve had in Italy- they don’t specialize in anything (we came looking for pasta), but everything we had was amazing. The antipasti platter for 2 was the bomb dot com. Also has a very nice old world charm that makes you wanna just sit there and drink wine and not leave.

Great service, ALWAYS really good, traditional South Tyrolean food. Fair prices and not too long of a wait. I highly suggest booking a table in advance, they're usually super busy.

I was very tempted to believe this will be one of those tourist trap places, but definitely not. We adored our food here, especially the dumplings plates we tried! Such a lovely way to experience the northen italian cuisine!
Andra-Irina Vasile — Google review
The place: I didn’t actually have a look inside. There were a bunch of tables on the outside and they expand capacity by putting more tables down the sidewalk 🤣 tables are pretty close together but far enough apart that you don’t have to fight for space with other guests. The food: pretty good overall, and my party of 4 was pleased. I got the braised venison with polenta (sweetish, different from what I was used to from my home country but it went well with the dish). There were two pieces of venison, one of which was juicy and tender, and another one which was dry and rubbery. Not sure how that happened and it made an otherwise pretty good dish a bit weird. The party also shared some ravioli as an appetizer, which was buttery and garlicky, what’s not to enjoy there? The service: it was fine, nothing really special either way here, we were pleased and didn’t have long waiting times even though the place was quite full. We booked in advance, which might be a good idea given the occupancy. Gets quite full from 20h or so.

Immerse yourself in the Belle Epoque ambiance of Restaurant Laurin, nestled within the picturesque Parkhotel Laurin in Bolzano. Whether you choose to dine amidst the elegant interior or in the charming gardens adorned with palm trees, prepare for a culinary journey that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation.
We had a great Christmas experience at Laurin Restaurant in Bolzano. Food was divine, atmosphere sophisticate and genuine, personnell friendly. And yes is expensive but the quality of the food is excellent and worth it. Very reccommended.

We had our Christmas dinner here and the meal course was absolutely delightful. The only thing I didn’t like was the venison, but other than that everything was great.
Paula Lewis — Google review
We booked via the internet a table for a party of 6. After reading the very impressive reports we were shocked with the experience that was far greater than what we had expected. Everything was excellent and our only regret was that we waited until our last night to dine here and so limited us to a single dining delight. Compliments to the chef, the staff and to our waitress Gioia who's attention was first class.
joel dotan — Google review
The food was good but the service was only OK (neither not nearly as good as the Lowengrube) although the location is perfect. My wife and I are searching for the perfect risotto and on the Laurin website there is a piece celebrating their famous risotto, "Risotto is on the menu every day at the Laurin". This is why we booked a table here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed to find out when we arrived that neither was risotto on the menu nor was it available. They had delayed our reservation an hour till 8pm which was annoying as we had an early connection the following morning. The reason became clear whilst we were there: the small open kitchen revealed that they lacked the capacity to handle too many orders at the same time. We also spotted a translation blunder on the printed menu where venison had been translated as veal. This dish however was excellent.

Wonderful gourmet experience in the beautiful Dolomiti Mountain with world class service, chef Norbert's sustainable development is not just words, using all the ingredients from this area, recyclable materials through out the facility, they have created a place like no others. The menu is changing all the time, this time tried the summer version, some classic dishes from the past, love the fish tartar, the deep umami taste just leave a strong stamp in my brain, also the mountain butter is so magnetic, I just want to keep on enjoying it with the fresh crispy bread. Everything on the menu is well executed. The service team is outstanding, my friend's glass was a bit dirty from the sauce of one dish, one guy noticed and changed immediately without her even asking. And other small details make guests feel really special. Very good wine selection, live the whites from this area, one of the best in the world. Overall, fantastic experience and I feel so lucky and grateful to be here.

Wonderful place, amazing food and very nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend. Now for a more detail review. Restaurant was solid booked (and for the right reasons) the week we were visiting when I tried to make a reservation months in advance. I asked them if they have any cancellations I would like to take it. Last minute they got one and I hoped right on it. Restaurant decor is nice and cozy and we had the great surprise to be offered the chef's table. This is set in a private room with a half wall of glass from where you can see how all the dishes take life, how much goes into each dish. We were traveling with 2 kids and they made sure that the kids had the kind of food kids like, but in a hard to match presentation. Food was exquisite. Locally sourced, innovative combinations, exceptional presentation and simply delicious. We had live bread, rising on our table for the delight of the kids, freshly made icecream churned in front of us, for even more delight of the kids, cotton candy served in the most ingenious way. The menu was designed with the local flavors in mind and I could taste the mountains flavors. The freshness and the beauty of the place was reflected in all the dishes. A life time experience that should not be missed.

Amazing dining experience - we were bowled over from dish to dish by the creativity and ingenuity, the way our jaded palates could still be excited, and by the warm hospitality in between every moment. Can’t wait to be back; we’ll be thinking of this place for a while.

Fancy and expensive. I found the food here to be basic and less interesting than others in the area. I got the beet salad and sea bass, which were both fine and fresh but not memorable. Can’t wait to go back. We stayed in mid-February with the family. Immaculate service, literally faultless. I didn’t carry a ski the entire time... we were shuttled to and from the ski slopes, never waiting longer than a minute or two. The ski team would take our skis, store them overnight and load them onto the bus the next morning, waiting for us. The rooms incredibly tasteful and elegant, oozing charm and character. Breakfast was a delight, a bountiful buffet with all you could wish for. Overall, this hotel is a dream, with everything you can ask for. Reception staff helpful and attentive, a welcoming bar area for your aperitivo and excellent food at both restaurants. Even a snooker room for the teenagers, cinema room and a quiet library for an afternoon read and a cup of tea. 2 pools ... a hushed one for grownups and another for families, but spending time in the family pool was just as luxurious as the other one, no details are spared. We are going back for a second visit at Christmas!

Veneto Travel Agency — Google review
We stayed here for a week, and I must admit it grew on me. This is a top quality, high service, spotless hotel, having an alpine, old world feel throughout. The finishes are rich, and include marble, limestone, and comfy furniture with textured fabrics. Generally, a very enthusiastic and welcoming experience from the polyglot staff. A single visit to concierge set us up for all sorts of delightful excursions. At their suggestion, we hiked Santa Croce, hiked around the top of Lagazuoi after a bone chilling tram-ride, got the best tips for navigating the Tre Cime among other great hikes and activities. Recommendations for dinner at local restaurant were spot on. Our room was very comfortable and faced the main street in front which had a wonderful combination of people watching during the day, and quietude at night. We booked the St.Hubertus restaurant well in advance, dropped a fortune and we were not disappointed. It was worth every penny. Breakfast was sumptuous, but a bit officious, with the staff in fine livery which was starched and pressed so as not have a single wrinkle. The spa portion of the hotel is ingeniously placed on the “ground floor” in the as the hotel is on a large slope, and has separate “Family” and “Adults Only” (adult meaning no kids and privacy) sections. There were peculiar practices of a luxury hotel. Every glass seemed to have an odd paper skirt on its top edge pronouncing "ROSA ALPINA". Logos were everywhere, on bags, bottles, towels, napkins, plates & staff, reminding us of the hotel's name, with which we were already familiar. There was a carefully orchestrated dance of the totally unused sandals put out on a linen serviette during the turn down service, and diligently put away during the morning housekeeping service. Everything that could have a carefully folded, laundered and starched cloth napkin wrapped around its handle did have one. (PHEW) Another oddity was precipitated by my Hertz rental comparing unfavorably to the pair of Maseratis and an Aston Martin parked in front. Also, our first and only dinner at the Wine Bar and Grill was disappointing. (Please note this was not St. Hubertus which was superlative in every way) At first, there were no tables, in spite of several being open. I thought we were being interviewed the by the Stasi. Things changed a bit when we told the Maître D' we were guests of the hotel. They wanted the room number and sat us right down. Unfortunately, that did not change the attitude of the gorgeous wait staff, who were indifferent and disorganized. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a salad, and when we asked the waiter to suggest a local wine, he wanted to put us into a €250 bottle. We thought differently, but the bill was still €200 for pizza, salad and a bottle of wine. Despite the door staff asking us every day “will you be joining us for dinner?”, we did not dine at that restaurant again. While the food was good (salad was nothing special), we decided to seek more authenticity elsewhere, and as I mentioned earlier the concierge gave us great recommendations. Another disappointment was all the Americans we dined with that evening. At the next table, we heard loudly of a Hollywood producer's film deals and on the other side, a seemingly very successful banker from St Louis pontificating on the glories of London to an Englishman from there. (I know this is not the fault of the hotel, but it you travel on a 9 hour flight, followed by a four hour drive we might be more surrounded by Italians) It’s a great place, and would recommend it unequivocally, but I wonder if the complete take over by AMAN will go well. I hope the chain hotel does not ruin the wonderful experience that is the ROSA ALPINA. I guess we will see.

I wanted to love this hotel as much as I loved the restaurant but many things fell through the cracks. First, the good: beautifully appointed rooms in Tyrol chic decor; lots of wood craftsmanship, stone, tile in white, grey and beige palettes. Cozy and upscale. Excellent breakfast buffet with a good mix of sweet and salty; not just pastries and cheese; the whole array of fruit, cereals, eggs, juices and a la carte items. And the most important asset: the restaurant St.Hubertus (see my separate review of this gem of a restaurant). Their more casual Brasserie is also very good; delicious thin crust pizzas and offerings showcasing local ingredients. Good service and ambiance. Discreet gym with treadmill, bike and elliptical plus small weight rack and other weight equipment. Beautiful Spa area. Tranquil and for adults only. Valet and luggage were taken care of immediately. Prompt check in. But all these features came to an abrupt stop when hit with the CONS: Nowhere in our reservation process they mentioned that our room had no a/c. I purposely picked the best room available for our dates (short of their family room) thinking that it would guarantee the best comfort. But as soon as Barbara took us to the room after showing us the best features, she abruptly said that “there is no air conditioning, so you open the windows and let the fresh air come in” and that “at night you don’t have to worry about the mosquitos”. As someone who has lived in the mountains before and worked for luxury hotels, I knew right away that it meant that the room was going to be too hot. I asked immediately for a fan to be brought over, which was supposed to be sent at turndown. Had to insist about three times to finally get it. Our room never specified that it would be facing the street. And this is a HUGE ISSUE! Without a/ c and the unusually high temperatures, our room was too warm for comfort. And opening the windows was not a good option since we were almost at street level with no privacy AND we could hear every single thing that happened just a few meters from the hotel entrance; every person walking by, the valet rolling the luggage cart by the gravel of the parking, the early morning deliveries; all day long…Especially in the morning and in the evening. And because we were in the lower floor, we could hear every kid running around the corridor upstairs and outside. So please beware of this when booking since there is no mention of it when reserving or choosing rooms. And Rosa Alpina only allow bookings through their website; there is no way of cross checking reviews anywhere but here on Google which is why I’m sharing our experience. If you come from noisy NY, Milano or DC with the usual background noise, this is no issue. For us who live in a quiet home, this made our nights very long and not restful. The hotel was fully booked so I guess that in spite of paying top price, we probably got one of the worst placed rooms. Another situation that made us nervous too was that during the booking process we were given the options of “enhancing” our stay. We understood clearly that these options are not charged at the moment of booking and that they would later be confirmed by the hotel. We chose a typical mountain BBQ meal, a rafting trip and a guided bike tour. I was told by email that I could not participate as the menu is meat based and I don’t eat meat. The rafting trip said it included transportation to and from the hotel and a minimum of two people. I never got any confirmation until we checked in. And to my surprise, they were confirming the BBQ that they said before it couldn’t be done. They said we could do the rafting at 10 am or 2pm but they had to confirm with the tour operator. We were confirmed last minute and told that we would have to drive 50 minutes to the starting point. Nowhere was this mentioned prior. We ended up going on a last minute taxi they hired with no transportation back from the place. We made it to the hotel almost three hours later than scheduled and were double charged. A very sub par experience, I’m afraid.

There is no hotel better in the area, with staff as attentive and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast, cozy and perfectly accomodating rooms, beautiful spa with very talented beauticians, great dinner options. Staff take most of the hassle of organising the skiing for you every day.

The service you will get here is non comparable to any other place. Mateo the bartender, Fabio in concierge, Mauro the pianist, Hugo the owner. Everyone is incredibly special and attentive, making sure that you have the best and most relaxing vacation. Recommend it 100%.

Truly extraordinary in every respect. Beautiful, welcoming, sensational service and facilities. The best hotel breakfast I have ever had. When it was time to check out I thanked the owner and told him we were leaving. He relied "why?" I have not yet come up with a good answer.

Wooden lodge in a quaint town with great facilities next to a trail where you can ride bikes with family to the next town for lunch in the summer. NYTimes and FT are provided which was a nice touch for english-speaking travelers. Dropped a star for spotty Wi-Fi that was in the livingroom but not in the bedroom

Lovely hotel, lovely location, very nice spa and sauna area and excellent staff (the staff in both restaurants is excellent, the concierge (Fabio) is simply wonderful, the man in charge of parking the vehicles is warm, caring and truly lovely and the general manager is kind, lovely and welcoming). Our room was nice and very clean. The hotel restaurant is excellent, and so is the attached St-Hubertus restaurant. I am giving this place a 4 stars rating simply because, when compared to other LHW hotels in the area, I do not believe that this one offers comparable value for money. There is nothing wrong with Rosa Alpina, it is a stunning place with excellent service, but our experience there led us to conclude that you can get a much better value for money at another LHW establishment (we went to Alpina Dolomites (also a LHW hotel) in the same trip, and we had a very lovely stay there and much better value for money). We went to both hotels as part of a long honeymoon trip. My husband had indicated that it was a special trip, yet Rosa Alpina did absolutely nothing to celebrate this event (a simple card would have sufficed to make us very happy! :)) Furthermore, my husband had booked a surprise dinner for he and I at St Hubertus (the attached 3 Michelin star restaurant) and had asked the hotel not to reveal this surprise to me, yet they sure did (three times!!). We didnt get a tour of the hotel when we checked in (normal in that area), and the checking in process was quite odd and uncomfortable. We were offered to have a welcome drink at the bar when we first got there, only to then find out that we had to pay for such welcome drink! We have no issues paying for drinks, but we do find it quite rude to be offered a free drink and then asked to pay for it. When we went to Alpina Dolomites, we didnt tell the hotel that we were there on our honeymoon, but the man at the front desk simply overheard us talking and figured out we were newly weds, and that was enough to trigger the general manager of the hotel to send a lovely hand written card to our room, along with a bottle of champagne and some macaroons! We were very surprised, and their attention to details and efforts to ensure our trip was as special as possible continued for the entire duration of our stay. Since Rosa Alpina is almost double the price of Alpina Dolomites, and a much smaller establishment, it is quite surprising that their attention to details and efforts to make guests feel special are not on the same spectrum.

The restaurant AlpiNN is located on a cliff top in Kronplatz and offers stunning views of the mountains. The food is delicious and affordable, with a variety of dishes to choose from. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the chef who met us was very informative and interesting. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting South Tyrol!
This review is from the perspective of being used to expensive mediocre food at North American ski resorts. For the incredible view, the modern architecture, the thoughtful helmet hook below each chair, the friendly service, and the amazing dishes, you would be paying x2-3 times more if this restaurant is on top of a mountain in US / Canada, and one step down in quality plus probably 1-2 hr wait in line. Highly recommended, except for weirdly paying the bill at the host desk! Anyways, I’ll be back!

After a string of amazing meals in dolomites this was a dissapointment It’s a long trek, a 30 euro cable car going up, the food is what a hospital serves to patients. My wife puked after the meal. Avoid if you are vegan or vegetarian and save yourself money. The pasta we ordered was with lentils and bean paste. There can’t be a worse combination. The onion dish was even worse

Fantastic experience. Great food and ambiance. Amazing views. We were there on a gorgeous day and really enjoyed watching all the paragliders taking off and flying by. Food and wine are also great. A special place.

Very long and sometimes not kind service. We have being waiting for menu or any attention for 25 min. Then 30 min for dishes and they bring our side dish first and in 15 min main course. Food is partly delusions but the fish was very salty. The view is stunning.

Great food and location with beautiful mountain view. The service is great and stuff is very friendly. The price is proportional to the quality.

The produce could speak for itself, tasty combinations of ingredients. Execution was lovely, really quick pacing though and missed a few details like missing cutlery and asking about more water, service in general was very friendly though. Overall, I would highly recommend it. Great wine list.

Impressive building overlooking the valleys and the mountains. The interior is very modern looking as well and you can see the chef and the cooks work from the open kitchen. Of course, the views are amazing. Took 10/15mins to give us the menu but then everything was more than fine Got to spend 30ish€ on the cableway if you want to eat there clean and fresh

The location, building and view is very nice. Hard to beat. The food is good but room for improvement (from my personal experience). Steak tartar: meat was from good quality, nice presentation with the bone etc. But I missed some ingredients... Like capers, onion, egg, worchester sauce, pepper and Salt. And I know it's hard to make 1 good steak tartar which suits every Person. Give the ingredients as an option on the plate, or on a small plate as a side. The ones prderinh a steak tartar will know what to do. Amuse was nice, nothing more nothing less. Main course too, nice sauce, fish was cooked well. But I missed some vegetables or something. Don't need to be much, just a side to make it a bit less monotone. Atmosphere was ok, don't expect to have Lunch without noisy Kids around you from time to time. But thats something you can't control as a Restaurant owner... Service was good too, friendly staff.

The greatest value of this place is eating with a spectacular view. Service is kind and attentive and atmosphere is a bistro kind of place, more than a stylish food space declared on the website. Our cheese fondue was a promissing starter (recommended) but the trout and pork belly were both pale and character-less, potatoes undercooked to our surprise. Nevertheless, we would give the Alpinn another chance.

Google didn't allow me to express myself sincerelly and the post wasn't allowed. I had only admiration for this restaurant, but was criticizing the guests, but with good taste. So, I will just say absolute 5+ for the restaurant effort. And will reconsider reviewing in future.
