The festival features a variety of mask dances including Songpa Sandae, Kwanno, Kangrung, Unyul, Pongsan, Suyoung Yaryu and more. A great cultural festival, on of the famous cultural festivals in South Korea. Great atmosphere, a variety of goods to choose from, tasty food and great performances by groups from around the world. I would definitely attend this festival again.

Amazing festival to see how Korean mask dance culture is. There are foods, experience, activity, and performance from all over the world. They have photo booth and several stage. I watched their mask dance performance in the stadium and it was great! Try to learn Korean mask dance or maybe create your own mask is also good too.

Andong mask dance festival park is one of the must-visit places in Andong! Although the festival iscancelled this year, we still get to enjoy the friendly surrounding. We saw a lot of people enjoying with their family and friends. This is definitely a good spot to rest and relax after a long day of travelling. This park is close to Andong downtown (walking distance) and to another park that is also a good place to visit. Compared to other parks, this Andong mask dance festival is unique since it is exclusive for the festival. We hope to visit again and witness the festival!

Great festival! I really like it this festival! It’s not only we can watch the performances but we can learn how to dance it and make it our own mask here! Had so much great experience here 😍

Andong once used to be focused on Korean mask dance tradition. Today the festival has grown to international event, and celebrates world mask dance culture. As a visitor we could saw a variety of mask dances including Songpa Sandae, Kwanno, Kangrung, Unyul, Pongsan, Suyoung Yaryu, and others. It was super interesting and fun. During festival we made our own masks which was so fun and interesting. The atmosphere itself was saying this is an mask festival. There were concerts for both children and elders so everyone could enjoy festival. So colorful so beautiful statues and interesting photo zones.

I enjoyed the entire Andong Maskdance Festival greatly. There were traditional experience centers where you could try making your own masks, as well as the performance that happens throughout the day. You have to buy a ticket to watch but it's worth it. It's something that is specific to Andong itself, and you can't find any place in Korea where the culture is so preserved and revered in such a fashion. Though I may not understand all the stories behind the performances, but the way they express their culture is very interesting. They also have many shops, experiences and performances happening everywhere else around the entire festival. It's really exciting and even many locals from other parts come down specifically for the event!

The Andong Soju Museum offers a captivating journey into the world of Korean soju, showcasing traditional brewing methods and the vibrant culture surrounding this renowned liquor. Despite its small size, visitors can enjoy learning about the roots of soju production and even sample 45% proof soju at no cost. The museum's passionate staff provide insightful explanations and stories, making it a fun and educational experience. Additionally, visitors have the opportunity to purchase various types of soju while exploring displays featuring traditional food arrangements.
Living legends, an honor to meet the soju brewers and learn the history.

This museum is small and a little bit away from the main part of town but was a lot of fun to visit! The main appeal was the lady who runs the museum, she is very passionate about this intangible cultural heritage and will show you around and tell you all the stories. A lot of the displays are about traditional food arrangements as well. You can also buy various types of their soju while you are here as well. While it was across the river and a bit far away from the market and main area, catching the bus there and back was very easy as there is a bus stop very close by.

2.5/5 Remarks 1st; *If you know Korean, you get more out of it than as a non-speaker **It might really depend on the day of visit. Some other review mentioned some lady guiding the two tourists around and then it seems nice. The traditional food section has some explanation in English, so you can have an idea about it. The soyu section, nevertheless did not have any written explanation in English. It is a free museum and there is a free shot of soyu. So even while it is definitely not my taste, it is an opportunity to try.

Smalll but very nice museum. You can realize how this traditional Korean wine how to produce. Bedsides, they've made so many models of Korean traditional foods. A good place to understand the wine history of this country.

Free entrance.. Very small but interesting museum to learn the roots and how soju is produce. At tge end you get to taste 45 % proof soju at no cost. The attendants speak very little English but we're happy to accompany us through the three main rooms point a try explain the displays. They were very attentive and gracious. Also, I found the soju here cheaper than in other venues so I retur Ed the next day to buy some. I assumed because it was a museum the price was going to be more expensive but I was wrong. Everywhere else I visited even the markets was more expensive.
Korea Wanderer — Google review
We walked to this museum from the city and it was not worth taking the risk of walking right next to a heavily used road and no pedestrian way. It is extremely far of and nothing else is close by. The museum itself consists of plastic food and figurines but nothing else and is very very small. If it was easy to reach that would be fine for a short stop but I would not recommend making the effort of going there. It was free though and there is a bathroom.
Clara B — Google review
Andong Soju is a must-try-it-out type of drink if you are settling or visiting Korea. The museum itself isn’t well equipped; doesn’t have any english/other foreign language guide, rather small (can finish off entire tour in max 15 mins), accessible only via bus 80 which runs every 30 mins. The good part however, is that entrance is free; offering free tasting as well. This is also the cheapest place to get Andong Soju; around 30 euros (34 dollars) for 2 bottles of 400ml Quality Andong Soju. Try visiting if this is on the way to one of your planned destinations; it could be slightly disappointing if you plan this place as one of your major tour stops.
KyungLim Moon — Google review
Really interesting little museum that features an easy to understand explanation of how soju is made. There are also some very detailed traditional food setups that were very cool. A sample of soju at the end was a fun bonus.
Juliana Scrivner — Google review
We had a great experience at the Soju museum. Although small there is loads to look at and the lovely lady who owns it took us around and gave us a tour, explaining all of the exhibits with excellent English. We even got a free taster at the end, which is strong! Would definitely recommend to anybody going to Andong, even if you don't speak fluent Korean.

Andong old market is a must place to visit if you are in Andong. The market has a food street where you can get street food like tobboki, fish cakes and other delightful snacks. In the market are many restaurants selling jimmdak, korean fried chicken, bossum and other korean dishes. You can also find clothing stores where you can get clothes for a bargain. Branded clothes shops are all around the market so there are so much to do here. Would recommend to visit and try the various korean dishes..

Andong Folk Village is a captivating destination that offers a glimpse into the rich history and tradition of Andong. The village is connected to Wolyeong Bridge, providing a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll in nature. With its traditional houses and beautiful lotus flowers, the village exudes charm and tranquility. Visitors can also explore the small reconstructed village along the riverbank, offering a relaxing and green environment.
(Translated by Google) It is connected to Wolyeong Bridge, so it is a good place for a natural walk. Even if you are not interested in folk culture or houses, I want to explain that the park is full of charm. There is a pavilion behind the pond where the lotus flowers bloom beautifully, and you can hear the sounds of birds and insects around you, so you can soak in the peace and relaxation of nature. A place where every photo becomes art no matter which direction you take it. The evening night view is also wonderful, so it would be great for families and couples to take a leisurely walk. If you walk along the path between the trees, you can feel cool even in midsummer. When I was planning a trip to Andong, I wasn't interested when I saw the name alone, but it is one of the places where I accidentally stopped by Wolyeonggyo and got drunk with the scenery and exclaimed. 100% willing to revisit on the next trip.

If it were cleaned up a bit, there would be a lot more visitors and it would become more widely known. There's nothing to see, and since it's summer, the bugs are flocking... Why are there so many hills, and the road up is difficult... However, one thing that is comforting is that the photos came out pretty.. haha.
