Beautiful garden. Majority of the grounds are wheelchair/mobility scooter accessible. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Ample parking, and a Betty’s on site- made the day a really special treat. The plant shop and gift shop were well stocked, and came away with a lemon tree! Just wish it was a bit closer- had a glorious day.

Back again. Membership is truly worth it. Nothing beats this place in my eyes. The beds are to die for and your head is on a constant swivel. As soon as you walk into the gardens you feel at peace and its so good for the mind. The garden centre and shop have everything, although quite pricey and a fat rascal from the Betty's on site tops the day off perfectly.

A beautiful pleasure garden within easy reach of Harrogate. Take public transport to get a significant discount on your ticket. I went in early spring and maybe didn’t see it at its best, but still enjoyed the heather display and the early bulbs. The library is also worth a visit! Avoid the main Betty’s tea room; too crowded and overpriced. I had a lovely tea plus scone at the stand in the gardens.

We had a lovely visit to this garden. Even though it was early Spring there was a lot to see. Betty's cafe is well worth a visit but be aware there are queues to get in sometimes. There is a lovely outdoor cafe though. Children are well catered for too with a nice play area & a trail to follow.

We had a fabulous day out today. The gardens were huge and had a good mix of woodland area and gardens. Our children enjoyed the Easter egg hunt and tried hard to find all 30 eggs! There's fabulous food with Betty's on site as a cafe and kiosks. There were areas to see wildlife and there were a few play areas for the children to go on as they walk round. Definitely worth a visit!

Would have been happier if they charged less for off-season tickets. Only some parts of the garden were beautiful (like in my photo) but not the whole park. I expected to see colorful flowers everywhere but it wasn’t the case. We walked quite some distance with nothing much to see. Don’t expect too much or come later in the year. Maybe it would be more worth it if we had visited this place in Summer.

Visited for the glow event and it was a fun festive evening for the whole family. The gardens looked amazing, the light trail is really well done and the spiced rum hot chocolate towards the end was spot on. From four year old to grandparents everyone had a lovely time. The bubble man was particularly enjoyed and great that the shop was kept open late for the event.

Very helpful staff. Used the tramper, but I think it would be good for the staff to try them out. Some of the inclines were steep, with adverse cambers. You have to experience it to understand how frightening some of it was. That said the gardens were lovely, still undergoing work. Excellent embroidery display in the library and Japanese Gallery.

What a fantastic day. Never been before and well worth the visit. Fantastic gardens lots to see, nice stroll around all the areas with all in bloom, so many ideas for home. Cafe was busy, but Betty's had stalls in the garden, food was great and enjoyable.

Absolutely beautiful gardens! Been visiting for many years now and it never stands still. Always new borders and different sitings for plants. You could never get bored. Changes made every time you visit. Lots of seating for a picnic or just a rest overlooking the amazing trees and flowers and ponds. Streams running through too. Definitely worth visiting.

A lovely place and very pleasant for a few hours out. At the moment (August 2023) there seemed to be quite a bit being redeveloped/dug up so although that’s good in the long term there are a few bits which aren’t as nice as they could be. Highlights are the tropical garden (on the right after the entrance) and walking by the stream. Good for prams and excellent baby changing facilities. Plenty of places to sit and eat a packed lunch or food/coffee from the cafes. There’s a good size playground for children.

We were really impressed when we visited. The grounds are beautiful and well looked after. There are several places on site for eating and drinking and a well stocked shop with lots of books for children in particular. We had great fun exploring the grounds, there was so much to see. The kids loved the playgrounds. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful walk. I was working there so not sure of entry fee. Lovely gardens, gorgeous buildings and a wide range if plants. If it was closer to me where I live I would definitely take the Mrs there!

Such a wonderful tranquil, beautiful garden with a variety of plants, trees, shrubbery. I visited when the succulent and cactus exhibition was on by the British cactus and succulent society, it was so great to see all the various different plants including some award-winning cactuses. I would definitely recommend visiting as it's a memorable experience for outdoor lovers and UK explorers.

I was lucky enough to be invited to visit the beautiful gardens today. Absolutely gorgeous with lots of flowers already blooming.

Really well looked after, have joined for the year as it looks different in every season and relaxing place to go, all staff really nice looking forward to their cafe opening soon.

Wonderful place to wander round. Kids areas were busy but not too bad. Free parking appreciated. Nice to see they had taxi drop off spots too. Betty's only to eat at on site at the moment, both with a queue but good service - suggest the one inside the grounds as there are many benches to eat alfresco. Arboretum was glorious and quiet. Enjoyed the succulent and cacti show.

Great day out with beautiful flowers and surroundings. Walked the whole park. Great vibe. Well set out. Great for young and old. Will be back in the summer!

April / Easter was a beautiful time of year to visit RHS Harlow Carr as the vast majority of the azalea and rhoddendrons were in full bloom. We took away this beautiful plant (£10) which was like a snowdrop but from a different family, hoping it multiplies.

Wonderful day! Lovely place. You can spend the whole day there as there is so much to see. On a warm day, children can cool off in the pool and parents can lie on a blanket in the shade. The plants are breathtaking. I will definitely come back here again

Really great place to bring the children. Lots of things to do. Lovely play area with good play equipment. Tennis courts, pitch and put, disc golf and skate park. Café and toilets. Large paddling pool for the hot summer days too.

Fantastic park for taking a stroll around on a nice day. Everywhere is well kept and the flowers in the summer are superb. There’s lots of different sections and things to admire with loads of benches throughout, which is great. There’s a small cafe in the centre, children’s play equipment to one end, and it’d be easy to spend a number of hours here if wanted. Fantastic spot in the centre of the town!

A lovely park close to the city centre of Harrogate, has a tiny stream, small lake, Japanese gardens, tennis courts, and beautiful plants and trees. Parking is an issue if you have never been there before as it says disc zone everywhere which means that you need to get a time disc from the information centre to display in your the time of arrival, also there are many traffic wardens around that can also give you one, if you don't display the disc they are very quick to give you a parking ticket, like we witnessed many cars getting ones, also on one side of the road you can only park for 1 hour and the other side for 3 hours.

Loved our first visit to the Harrogate Valley Gardens and Park - great large established green area with very attractive trees, shrubs and planting along with children's play park with cafe area etc. Would deffo recommend a visit x

Splendid, vast green space to wander about in with a myriad of paths to meander on. I visited on a sunny Saturday and it was really popular with lots of folk perambulating n promenading, picnicking, jogging, dog walking. Has large kids play area, a café, an Oriental garden, pavilions, benches, a cascading brook, interesting historical features with information boards and a large variety of mature trees. Well maintained and looked after. Definitely recommended.

Gorgeous place to just sit and watch the world go by. Plenty of seating both in the sun and in the shade, all of which is easily accessible for prams and wheelchairs of all sizes. There are lots of beautiful and colour flowers and plants to look at and smell, the scenery is rather good, too!

Beautifully kept gardens and flower beds. Japanese garden was a pleasant surprise and a lovely tea house to have a small bite and something to drink. Saw the odd grey squirrel, who seemed more interested in us than we were of him.

Had a great few hours here. No charge to get in. There is I think 17 acres of garden. This includes the "Japanese garden". You can get snacks, ice-cream (delicious), teas and coffee. The crazy golf is fun, (when isn't it?) and doesn't cost much to play. If you fancy a picnic, it's a beautiful place for one.

Such a lovely place to go for a walk, have a cup of coffee and people watch and admire the well groomed grass and beds with some stunning flowers. Or take the kids to the big play area which has an outdoor splash pool. There are so many benches around this place you will always find somewhere to sit, in the sun or the shade. The cafe in the middle has a great selection of light bites, drinks and ice creams. There are toilets on site and dogs are welcome with plenty of bins.

Stunning place in the middle of Harrogate. This was a great place to go for a walk before we stopped for coffee nearby. There’s lots of different things to see within the garden and you can event extend your walk into the woods.

Lovely gardens and parkland to wander about with the different mineral springs dotted around, very interesting and full of history. Great cafe for a cup of tea.

What a beautiful place to visit when you're in Harrogate. There is a lovely round the world tree walk to follow that takes you round helping you to identify certain trees and telling you from where they originated. Highly recommended.

One of the beautiful parks in Yorkshire. Child and disabled friendly with restroom, cafe and play area. The tracks are well maintained for prams and wheels to slide into. The garden is beautifully designed and maintained as per the aesthetic and standards. Neat and tidy. Bins can be located everywhere. The play area has a mini golf tracks, tennis courts etc. There is a separate dog lead free area in the park for the fur babies to roam around freely.

Very nice gardens. I went to see the Japanese garden for inspiration, which I got some ideas from for my own garden at home, but I went around all the gardens and they were lovely. I will come back to see them next year in the summer too.

Loads and loads of benches , picnic tables and places to lay out your picnic blanket. This park is amazing!!! Parking is tricky watch out for permit holders only, the further away you park the more free parking there is.

Was fortunate enough to visit this Country Park which is run by the National Trust - spent the morning exploring not only the rock formations but also the moss gardens. I visited the park on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy, but left once a coach full of tourists arrived from across the pond. I think that you can spend an entire day at the park only to return the next day and see something new. Will I visit again? Yes. Can I recommend? Yes.

Fantastic place. A great out door experience to just walk round and look at, or to climb over. there were lots of kids having great fun being kids and clambering about, and lots of adults enjoying acting like kids too. If you want to go for the geology, best to arrive early or late to avoid the crowds of families. There is a path around the whole park so you can find quiet areas . There is a coffee kiosk and picnic tables, and historical information in the building. We took our own food and ate on top of a rock with stunning views.

Very interesting place to visit with your kids and furry friends. One for rock climbers, too! The rock formations are impressive. It was fun, and the views were stunning. Be sure to wear shoes with grip because the rocks can be slippery in some areas. L

A family friendly place. I'd suggest not to take stroller/pram if you have a baby, instead use carrier to carry as pavement rocks are uneven for stroller. There's a coffee and sandwich shop as well. No admission fee, but you need to pay for parking. You'll enjoy it for sure. Recommend.

Great place to visit if you want a walk and scramble up rocks. The rock formations look amazing. We've visited before to have a climb, however this time we parked here to walk part of the Yorkshire Heritage Way long distance walk and as such needed to pay for parking for one car for the full day, which was quite expensive at £9. After walking from Thruscross Reservoir to Brimham Rocks I didn't really have to much energy to clamber on the rocks but did visit the trig point behind the visitor centre!

Nice little stroll. Be sure to find the "surprise view", which can be found along the scenic walk on the left, shortly after entering. Stunning bit of history, really interesting. Can easily be walked by all ages. Strollers should be manageable.

Beautiful day out for all the family. There’s plenty of parking. You have to pay at the pay machines which can be cash or online. If you’re part of the National Trust you park for free. There’s wheelchair and pushchair walkways so everyone can enjoy the beauty of Brimham Rocks. Toilets are free, clean and well maintained. There’s a nice picnic area, so carry your own snack. After all the running around and walking the snack is needed. There’s a nice little coffee shop where you can also buy snacks, drinks and ice creams, along with a nice little gift shop that also tells you some of the history of of Brimham Rocks

What a great place to get lost in!! The kids absolutely loved getting back to nature here, plenty of great photo opportunities too! Was a bit chilly as it’s winter but will revisit in the summer with a picnic to enjoy again. Although free to enter you do have to pay for parking (£6.50) which isn’t much for a days stay and all proceeds go towards maintaining the site. There is a coffee shop which did lovely hot chocolate’s with cream and marshmallows, we had 4 plus 4 choc bars and a sandwich for £20 which I few very reasonable in todays climate. Highly recommended for family days out.

The rock formations are amazing. We had a great day out, and we didn't even get around them all. My teenagers (13 and 16) climbed all over and had a great time.

Wonderful place for the family, on site amenities. Food, coffee and toilets all on site. Car park £6 -£9 plenty of staff and friendly people. Get up close with the amazing rock formations from time passed. Climb, but be careful these’s are weathered slippy rocks at times. A great walk out in a rural setting. Highly recommend a visit.

Rocks carved by nature to achieve unique shapes and formation. Ice age, water, volcano and wind have all had a hand in it, I believe. Winding path leading through the rock formations, which you can clamber about. Great for kids and for some wholly unjuatified reasons dogs have to be on lead. Great views over surrounding countryside. Good parking and cafe facilities.

Beautiful place. I have not visited since I was a child. I'm now in my 50s and still had fun climbing and enjoying the views. As did my partner and our youngest, who's 11. Highly recommended. We were also lucky with the weather.

Loved it! Our visit was amazing! A great day had by the whole family. All the different rock formations are fantastic to see and be able to climb and explore, little caves and scurry holes to have fun in and so many great picture opportunities. A real natural beauty that will be somewhere I will always come back to. A bit muddy today; there were a few people braving the muddier trail but a fair amount can be seen from the main path if preferred.

Great place for an easy outdoor activity for adults and kids alike. Beautiful rock formations and with large rocks balancing on others. Plenty to climb on for different challenges and kids will love it here. There is also a well laid out path leading to a coffee shop which makes it suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Parking is also easily available and the information hut is well staffed. Parking is free for trust members (you just scan the QR code on your card and get a free ticket). Even if you have to pay for the parking it's still worth it.

Beautiful spot. Not a hike, a lovely stroll. Done within an hour and that was spending time in the bookshop. Rocks perfect for the kids to explore. Not a 3-4 hour hike, and hour walk.

We were lucky to have lovely weather when we visited here mid October. It is a very well kept place and is full of great rock formations. There are a few good gravelled paths that take you around the rocks and up to the cafe and toilets. The views from the top are well worth the walk up which doesn't take too much effort. It is free entry although you need to pay for parking if you're not a national trust member. Take a picnic and find one of many places to stop and admire the views.

Recommended by friends to visit this place. As we were on holiday in Yorkshire, from the South Coast. A NT site , cost of parking was £6 for 4 hours which you can pay by cash or card. Even on a dull day the views were great. Our kids aged 20,18 & 9 all loved it there . There are toilets and a cafe as well

Good place to visit if you're reasonably fit and National Trust members, otherwise parking is around £6. A large site with plenty of pathways and amazing views. There's toilets and a cafe with takeaway drinks and food just up from the large carpark. We were there around 3 hours. Plenty of dog walkers and children walking the pathways

Castle closed but lovely grounds for walking in and walled gardens for exploring the plants within. Access no problem and tea shop great for a coffee on the way in and lunch on the way out. Lots of places to sit as well for those with tired legs. Lots of intriguing history; lots of bucolic views. Not surprised a wedding wedding was going on as we visited.

Visited the monthly market in the main courtyard of Ripley Castle. Free to enter the grounds that day. A small parking fee applied in nearby field. Easily two hundred visiting cars. The attractive open air market fare had a definite local artisan feel about it & included quick bites to nibble on. The main café was small & very busy due to the crowds visiting that day. Took a long walk around the open grounds & parkland and included the walled garden & my favourite the Greenhouses. One can see how the re-imagining of the estate for public access has created a wonderful amenity for a family day out in the country to view the splendour of parklands in Yorkshire. The weekend we visited was Easter time so there were lots of games for kids including an Easter treasure hunt. Didn't have time to do house tour. The day wrapped with a visit to the local Ripley village homemade ice cream parlour. Yum!

Went classic vintage car/ bike show . Plenty auto jumble stalls . Stalls serving food and hot and cold drinks . Ice cream van . Hundreds vehicles to walk round . Helpful friendly event staff... Then walked up to the castle .

Had an offer on up to end of March, if you bought any hot drink from the takaway next to the castle it was free entry to go round the grounds. Would be lovely later in the year. Beautiful lake, deer park, hothouse, temple, walled garden, various things for children to play on.

A very interesting castle and grounds. We stayed at the Boar’s Head for the night so it was an ideal morning wander. We didn’t go inside, but the gardens, deer park and walled gardens with greenhouse were well maintained and very interesting. Recommend if you’re in the area and it’s a nice day

Have been visiting Ripley Castle for years. It's a very special place, whatever the season, there are beautiful views across the Yorkshire countryside that are well worth the admission price. The staff members are always friendly too ☺️ The castle tea room and recently established coffee house are a good excuse for spending a bit more time here, whilst supporting smaller, local businesses. I always have a nosey in the 'Just Makers' craft / artsy shop too, which offers a very tasteful selection of locally handmade gifts....I never manage to leave empty handed. You can easily spend an afternoon here.

OVERCHARGED made us pay £20 for 4 people when 2 of the 4 were children!!! The house has been apparently close for a year and a half and won’t be open till Easter. The walled and kitchen gardens were very nice and well kept and the walk around the grounds was nice (also was told we would get free entry if we brought a ticket to the harrogate food and drink festival but that was not upheld) pretty but way overpriced for what it is!!!

We often go too the Ivy for Breakfast in Harrogate, and try to find somewhere nearby to visit. We love looking round gardens and castles , and although this isn't a medieval type castle, we thought it was worth a visit. Well it most certainly is. Waze took us there no problem, but there was a little bit of confusion as to where to park. the car park is quite small, but we got parked. It is a pay and display where you have to put your reg number in, but it wasn't expensive. £1.00 gets an hour with the shop and cafe giving you the £1.00 back with a purchase. We headed for the Castle gardens, the actual Castle was shut anyway. We had a lovely walk through some kitchen gardens and took a walk through a pathed wooded area then along the small lake, heading back to the cafe. We missed out a fair bit of the gardens, we only paid for 2 hours and hadn't thought we would stay longer. We had a lovely Coffee and cake, the Cafe was well organized, reasonably priced and the staff were very polite and swerved really quickly. I had to nip out and pay for an extra hour of parking as i really wouldn't chance a ticket. We would definitely return, perhaps with a picnic on a nice sunny day, explore more and would quite like to see inside the Castle.

We celebrated a wedding there and the place was absolutely fabulous. Gorgeous settings, organisation very friendly, good fun. It's quite impressive to use these beautiful rooms to celebrate with friends and it added a magical touch. The village around is also beautiful and I could not recommend enough enjoying the forest nearby for a lovely walk.

A wonderful combination of architecture, garden and parkland to enjoy. Unusual wall trained Ginkgo and some magnificent tree specimens in the garden and parkland. Intriguing glasshouse collection. A tranquil delight on a midweek visit with lovely views across the lake which will improve as Autumn colour begins to show further.

It is a beautiful place for a family day out. Nice garden, tearoom, and shops nearby. And it's free entry for historic house members.

Ripley Castle is just a few miles out of Harrogate. There is a large carpark but I travelled from Harrogate on the 36 bus which is every 30 minutes between Ripon and Leeds; the bus stops just yards from the entrance. Entrance to the gardens and grounds is payable in the coffee shop and just £7 for concessions. There is lots to see if you follow the free map. I walked around the lake through the deer park and upto the walled gardens and beyond. Although the surfaces are pretty flat you really need sensible shoes as it was quite muddy in places. There are picnic tables and children’s play areas.Toilets are just as you one through the Grindhus coffee shop at the entrance to the grounds. Well worth a visit!

Lovely piece of history in Yorkshire. Impressive building and the gardens and grounds are lovely. Small shop and a cafe and they do take away drinks at reasonable prices. We visited in March and it was free entry if we purchased a drink. Plenty of spots to sit and picnic as you walk round the grounds and lovely views. Definitely worth a visit

Ripley Castle is a stunning wedding venue. It looks great in every season, the food is delicious, the staff are knowledgeable & are helpful from beginning to end. The accommodation next door at The Boar’s Head is also perfect. Our wedding day ran smoothly and there’s plenty of room for dancing!

We had a lovely February Sunday at Ripley castle gardens and grounds. Great gardens, well tended and the walk round the deer park was a good length (muddy in places). Nice water features too, plenty of variety here and only £4pp! With £1 off for parking too. Highly recommend.

Great looking castle with beautiful gardens. The formal gardens are well kept and the vegetable patch had a good selection. The park is a very pleasant walk and the lake is beautiful. Entry is via the coffee shop which has a small selection of drinks and cakes but no meals. There is a cafe opposite with a decent selection but very little for vegans or vegetarians. There is a guided tour of the castle available.

This is a small museum and doesn't take very long to go through, but it does preserve a very interesting part of history for the area. It tells you about the treatments that people would receive from the mineral wells in Harrogate, and how the high levels of mineral deposits in Harrogate's water put it on the map as a spa town and health center. The woman at the desk was very good and told us lots of information. While the museum could do with some updating and sprucing up, I am glad that we stopped by.

Interesting history of Harrogate as a Spa town. The pump room museum has a number of artefacts, posters and other items which give a good understanding of life in those times. Old black and white video of treatments is surprising.

Very interesting history of the Pump Room, the spas and water/heat/electro treatments our ancestors endured.

Two years ago I wanted to visit but it was closed. So I decided to come back because I really wanted to visit this museum. It’s quite small but you learn a lot about the past of Harrogate. It’s very interesting to see how they used to live and how popular was the water of Harrogate. We spent an hour but we were really interested. If not you can clearly visit in less than 10 minutes.

Really nice quaint little museum! Good value for money as a little activity when visiting Harrogate. Really like the focus on the origins of the town as a spa town and how it was supported by the working class. Some cool exhibits like the Fabergé cutler

It was good to read up on the history of the place, it was also disabled friendly as I could walk around without any problems. The lady at the desk was very friendly and informative. Explained a lot about the place and how it work's, she was also a fellow Scot from Aberdeen.

This was very interesting, if you like that sort of thing, and obviously people did in those day's. And in a way some good things did come out of it. Eat well, exercise, take care of your body, relax, massage in all its form's. Now for the place it's self as I said it's interesting, it is disabled friendly so anyone can go see it.

Very informative and interesting as long as you stop and listen to the videos. I really liked the black and white film showing real people receiving treatments! If you want to try the waters 😳 make sure you have a drink handy!! 😅

We visited just after opening on a Sunday and, at first was put off by the size of the building it was housed in, but decided to give it a go anyway. So glad we did because it was crammed full of displays explaining all about the history of Harrogate and the baths. The lady on the till was welcoming and explained things to us. £3.50 per adult. £2.50 for concessions. Pretty sure the opening times were 10am-4pm.

We managed to book in last minute and what a lovely experience we had! Would highly recommend for any age. Have a cuddle and one on one with your llama over 3 hours. Jess (tour lady) was very knowledgeable and you can tell she has a pure passion for what she does. With over 90 llamas and she knew everyone’s name. Not just a one time experience, will be going back !

Really enjoyed our time at Nidderdale for the scenic llama trek. Staff were lovely and even had gluten free cakes and flapjacks for afterwards with our drinks. You need to book in advance.

I will start by saying I was slightly apprehensive about this before, but I can say this is an amazing experience! Firstly finding the place. I initially drive past it a few times before I used the what3words location. I would advise you use it as it took me straight to it! The post code will only get you to the village and by that point you have too far. Our trek guide (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) was amazing. She spent about half an hour in the barn explaining all about the alpacas and llamas, we got to meet all the animals and they really did have completely different personalities. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered any question that was asked. Personally I found Tim to be the funniest one. He kept trying to break out of the pens. After meeting all the animals we were paired with our animals for the walking part of the experience. Please Note: I did read the email about wearing boots and I did take what I believed to be acceptable shoes, oh how wrong would I have been. Lucky for me they have 'Rent-a-wellies'! At £2, they are a bargain and well worth while, take it from me! I was lucky enough to be paired with Rohan. He was so easy to handle for a novice. He is an amazing animal so calm and caring. I am sure he was sussing me out initially, but by the end of the walk he was cuddling up to me (which was very cute). I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, young or old and anything in-between. You will get the chance to get up close and personal with these majestic animals and have a life changing experience. Thank you Suzanne and team for a wonderful experience.

A must do activity!! We loved it from start to finish , the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and we even had the lady who owns it on our trek and she was lovely too. The llamas were very cute and affectionate and every single one had its own personality. Will definitely be back to do it again. We didn't want to leave when the trek finished or say bye to our llamas Mike and Lloyd. But we did purchase key rings with them on to remember our experience. As a group we did the farm experience and shared a llama between two. The staff were fantastic, knew their stuff and taught us loads about llamas and alpacas! They matched us up with a suitable llama (cheeky, calm, naughty you name it they had it). The trek was great and the llamas were really well trained. Great credit to the company and would 100% recommend it to anyone

Me and my wife had a great day with Trevor and Tony, our Llamas. The whole experience was fantastic. Our two guides were brilliant, very knowledgeable and passionate about the animals and made our day totally memorable.

What an experience. This was by far one of the best days out. Meeting the llamas and alpacas was great fun, each has their own personality. The staff there are knowledgeable and fun and clearly working in jobs they love and it's clear to see why. My children 11+12 had a fantastic day, it's amazing how quickly these animals steal the hearts of everyone who participated, myself included. We did the scenic farm trek around 3 hours in total. Overall this was one of our more expensive days out this summer but it was absolutely worth every penny. Highly highly recommend. I went as a spectator as my daughter is usually a little shy/nervous but the staff gave her so much confidence with the instructions and reassurance, she was absolutely fine and really enjoyed it

Place is really nice, the llamas are awesome it was a treat for my girlfriend but it was pricey for what it was. Staff were nice and friendly if they lowered the price for return visits I'd likely go again but not at the full price.

We were treated to the Christmas cuddles experience and it really made our Christmas Eve. The llamas were great, we learnt a lot about them from very informative staff. Would highly recommend it and hope to return for a trek in the near future.

Just wonderful. We've done a llama walk here before but this one was even better. The lady who hosted our group was very knowledgeable and introduced us to the different types of llama before matching our personalities to a llama! The walk is across country and with some slopes so be prepared.

Went with our two children, aged 9 and 7. They were a bit apprehensive at first, especially our boy, but we were introduced to the llamas and alpacas very gently and calmly, and soon enough and concerns were gone. A matchmaking process means that you are paired with a llama or alpaca to suit you, and we asked for less boisterous animals for our walk and it was a lovely experience in beautiful surroundings. By the end the kids had bonded with their animals and were confident enough to put their arms around them for photos. Fabulous experience and great memories for the kids and adults alike.

What a fantastic afternoon we had meeting the llamas and alpacas! It was a wonderful experience, made more so by the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide Jess who was so dedicated in her role. It was clear how much she really loved and cared for the animals. We were celebrating our Ruby anniversary and the whole experience made it a very special day. We had Rohan the llama (very affectionate and gorgeous) and Alan the alpaca (cute and cheeky). Both were a total joy to take for a walk in the beautiful countryside. We were joined by Charlotte on the walk who like Jess totally dedicated and enthusiastic. It is certainly an experience to remember and one we would like to repeat but do a longer trek next time! We cannot recommend this experience enough. Thank you all and of course Rohan and Alan for being so good and adorable.

We did the junior trek which was great. Charlotte was very informative about both alpacas and llamas. A very hands on experience. Would definitely do again.

Lovely cathedral. Crept passageway open, spooky little walk. Small treasury and library upstairs to look at. The organ here is impressive, and so is the stain glassed windows. Free entry (donations welcome) Gift shop Candles for donations to make your prayers.

This was truly a grand cathedral to have a look around with my friend, covered by a glorious arch roof! The designs are definitely aesthetically pleasing and there is a strong level of variety in the memorials, which create a true atmosphere alongside the lit-up seating area. A choir was playing in the cathedral, adding a special feel to our visit!

A lovely welcome as soon as I walked into the cathedral. The card guide was really easy to follow. If you would like to take pictures you will need a photography permit, purchased from the gift shop for £3.00. It is a beautiful building and really well maintained. I was lucky to be there during a service taking place which was amazing. The library and the crypt are a must see. I was very interested to learn about the various treasures. Well worth a visit.

A nice cathedral, though not massively better or different to similar large northern cathedrals. The organ works well if you're lucky enough to hear it playing. There are some unusual statues inside alcoves at the back of the cathedral. Entry was free.

Very interesting cathedral. Didn't see it at its best as the main hall being set up for a fayre. Right in the centre of Ripon with plenty of parking close by. Shopping arcade + Sainsbury's just across the road. Worth a visit if in the area.

Compared to other Cathedrals, Ripon is a simpler version but it was very enjoyable. All the areas were open to the public and the curators were very friendly. There was no admission fee but you can put money in the collection boxes. There is a well stocked gift shop for that special gift or memorabilia. My favourite part was the crypt which is accessed down wooden stairs then through a narrow corridor. It felt vey claustrophobic but worth the effort. I would recommend going as this Cathedral was one of the best that I've ever visited.

Very pleasant staff and volunteers. During my time in northern England I visited 4 cathedrals (Newcastle, Durham, Ripon and York) and found Ripon to be the most pleasant. The bigger cathedrals are beautiful but can feel more like tourist destinations than houses of worship. This struck the perfect balance of grandeur and warmth.

It’s such a beautiful church with so much history following this iconic cathedral in the center of Ripon. The welcoming and friendly staff explained about the 10k individually folded origami angel’s for the lost soul of C19 it’s very touching & meaningful. When you have time to explore the cathedral you will know Gods inspiring works thru his people; the alter, choir area, the wood work, the stone carvings and all the hand stitched cushions is iconic and very impressive. The peace and calmness of the cathedral is time for one to reflect and connect to the Divine. My sincere Thanks to all the volunteers and staff in keeping this historical cathedral alive. God Bless always

M first visit last week. Stunningly beautiful and well maintained. Even the "priest " (not sure of correcr terminology for Church of England) came up to greet me and made me feel very welcome. And great to see it's a very "active" and community focussed cathedral with lots of activities.

We enjoyed a quiet wander around the cathedral which doesn't charge admission only asks for donations. I really enjoyed the needlework cushions, the peace and tranquility, the crypt and being able to wander freely with plenty of opportunity to sit and rest. There are guides to answer questions and lots of interesting things to see.

Great place to visit. Amazing cathedral the stain glass windows are superb. Would recommend a visit just to see them. Went there as a family and they have a nice trail set up for younger kids which my little lad enjoyed completing. Staff were friendly and helpful. And beat of all unlike places similar it's completely free to visit.

Please convey my thanks to Ronnie Metcalf whose knowledge was a significant part of our enjoyment of this amazing cathedral. We will be seeking out future performances of the magnificent 3000+ pipe organ and brass band performances if they are available this year. We enjoyed the Ripon inn as a superb hotel nearby.

We popped by here recently and, seeing that there was no entrance fee, we took a brief look inside. The interior of this magnificent building is really impressive. I particularly liked the view down from the nave to the high altar, looking through the ornate archway above which you can find the organ. There are wonderous, delicately carved statues and wooden pieces everywhere. The whole place is so full of history. I wish that I could have stayed longer to study it further.

I would recommend a visit to Ripon Cathedral which is located in Ripon, North Yorkshire. It is a historically significant church with roots dating back to the 7th century. Car parking can be found in Margate Carpark for a small charge ( coins or cards) a short 5 minute walk to the cathedral. The cathedral, formally known as the Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Wilfrid, is built in the Gothic architectural style and features a stunning facade and intricate detailing. It holds a rich history, and its construction spans several centuries, with the choir being one of the earliest parts built in the 12th century. The cathedral has undergone various renovations and additions over the years, contributing to its unique blend of architectural styles.

Free to enter. Excellent. We were there for Remembrance Service. Excellent service. Next time will go back for a longer visit as it looked brilliant

This was our first visit to this establishment and we thoroughly every moment. Staff were friendly and professional. The seating in the auditorium was some of the most comfortable we have ever experienced and the view onto the stage was exceptional. We believe that any of the seating will give a good stage view due to the wide sweep of the rows. The only reason we gave four rather than five stars was due to the fact that we thought Covid 19 prevention strategies could be better- it was a bit of a free for all with little control. However we would definitely revisit again in the future.

I was here for the Country living Christmas Fair, and it's a good venue. Situated very centrally, near the Baths, with plenty of car parks on the vicinity. Last time I visited the food on offer was poor, but I was pleased this year to note they had really improved their offerings, and considering you're a captive audience, the prices were fair too.

Spacious convention centre with easy access to a big parking..also easy access to bus stop and the town centre.... hotel right opposite to it so if you are coming here for a conference etc, could stay at the hotel & attend your conference very conveniently.... toilet facilities inside the convention centre were clean .. Harrogate is a beautiful town in itself ..

Great place to see a show. Seats are all placed with a good view of the stage. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar facilities are available for pre show and interval drinks. Venue is always clean and tidy. Seats are comfortable in the auditorium. Could do with more seating near the bar area.

The ambitious brick-brutalist work towers above the sleepy town now with a patina of soot on the ceramic cream elements. Best understood in black and white. Also it seems scaled-down all the same... Launched with the Eurovision Song Contest in 1982, it appears it was soon inadequate a complex and a boring extended exhibition hall section in post modern classic was added what 20 odd years later maybe.

The convention centre hosted Airecon, a board games convention. The place was generally clean and well aired although the facilities were not cleaned regularly. It was accessible to wheelchair users and the security on the doors made me feel safe.

We visited airecon over 3 days. An excellent weekend. Hopeful it will be back next year and if you like board games it is the place to go. Look out for it coming around again. Children are welcome.

We visited for a Knitting and Stitching show. The convention centre was excellent. We were impressed with the amount of seating that was available. The prices of the various vendors serving drinks and food wasn’t too expensive which was a nice surprise. The disabled toilets were very good.

Heads-up...the entrances are about a mile apart! The venue feels quite cool and designed to have great a great audio. Chairs are comfy and padded! Floor is not sticky and staff were helpful. Have to say I paid £5 for a 330 ml bottle of cold beer. They just need more external signs and the pre event email should say clearly where you enter.

Came for AireCon 2024. Good facilities and helpful staff. The Royal Hall is a beautiful Victorian survivor and well worth a look.

Attended for Airecon, great venue with accessible toilets, including a inclusive toilet (I think inclusive is correct term),that was a nice touch and help everyone feel welcome there. There were also water dispensers so take a bottle (tiny paper cups were available). Although biggest draw back and could have just been the time of this event, one of the large halls smelt like sick, as someone sensitive to smells this made that experience really unpleasant! 🤮

It is a lovely venue for conferences that's for sure. Lots of entrances and exits to manage crowds. Spaces for all sorts of stalls. Hall could sit over 1000 people, not sure about full capacity. Toilets on different levels. It's also close to the Harrogate rail station. Lots of restaurants and hotels are dotted around and it is in the city centre. There is parking on site, but it's limited with varying charges.

First visit to the Harrogate convention centre for an evening with Billy Ocean. Supported by Ember Trio. Quietly surprised, the seats are most comfy and the distance between each aisle is roomy. Alcoholic & soft drinks are available, but If you want an ice cream which we can get at other Theatres/Arenas you won't find any 🍧 here. We spoke to Mary who was working at Reception desk & she mentioned that you could purchase ice cream before, but apparently Management said it doesn't sell, well it won't if you don't offer it. Come on Management give the patrons a choice, nice to have something different, make the effort & bring the🍧cups back. Overall a nice venue.

I enjoyed visiting here in October to see Steve Hackett. The venue itself is quite impressive and very well maintained. The views of the stage and acoustics mean that it is a very good venue to host a concert.

What a fantastic venue .. it really is a truly “got to be seen” place. From the moment you walk up the steps and through the night doors, you are immediately hit with the history of the place. The renovation work is a wonder to behold. Can’t wait to see the next show at this venue.

First visit here at the Hall. A magnificent historical building with a lot of History. Beautiful decor. Comfortable seating. Not cramped like in some old halls/theatres. Great view of the stage and performance of Rumours of FleetWood Mac. They blew us away. Excellent. I will definitely visit again.

Just came here with a friend randomly and the "HARROGATE-HALL" looked very nice & beautiful from the outside. Just looked inside quick quick and; The deviation of the Theater is exquisite, beautiful patterns & very nice paintings. If would definitly recommed this Hall if it is booked for a SHOW or CONCERT etc...! So Overall cause we ain't got time on that day but i give it a 4.5 out 5. Just the 0.5 Point lost due to the way to get there.

Great place. Visited for the first time for Carmen performed by Ukrainian National Opera. The performance was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. I am going again tonight to see La Boheme. Highly recommend.

Amazing venue, great staff and really well set up. Recent restoration is stunning. Don't be fooled into thinking this is just a quaint antique of a place, it's got smack up to date facilities for pretty much any production, and acoustics are well thought out too. Absolute gem of a venue.

We went to see The Makings of a Murderer, it was really good. The seats in the stalls were a ok but by the intermission we were ready to stand up! The building itself is stunning

This is a great venue. Easy to find. The staff were extremely helpful. My drink wasn't expensive. I had a great view from the dress circle. I imagine the people in boxes felt well placed for the stage. Lots of toilets. All nice and clean.

Went to see makings of a murderer. Great show and we had seats in row 3 at the far left. But the tall speaker to the left of the stage blocked some of our view of the screen at the back. No mention of this when booking. Lovely theatre though.

Beautifully restored theatre which we have been to several times to see various shows including Antiques Roadshow. Went to see The Ukele Orchestra of Great Britain last night and, as usual, they were superb.

Beautiful hall! Came here during the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival to watch HMS Pinafore. The seats were very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to move along the row. The deviation of the theatre is exquisite, with beautiful patterns and paintings to draw your eye. Definitely recommend going to a show or concert here, even if you're a bit of a drive away!

First visit. Found the seating surprisingly comfortable. Good view from most seats. Excellent acoustics and a reasonable bar. There was a queue for the gents, possibly a first, much to the amusement of the ladies present.

Went to the Gilbert and Sullivan festival where several shows were on here. Lovely old place very ornate and seemingly well preserved. Seats had reasonable leg room for a six footer in the royal circle and gave a good view of the stage. Seems to have an enormous space for the bar and after show activities. A good visit

Beautiful and well kept building and interior. Gorgeous and stunning architecture and the ceiling works are fascinating. Lots of pictures, posters and information about the history attached to the venue are on show. Great place for concerts, shows etc.

Spent the evening last night here doing the gin experience and it was absolutely incredible! Alex was fabulous from start to finish - so friendly, super knowledgeable and all round gent! couldn’t have asked for a better evening so thank you again Alex 👏🎉

Very disappointing. Was on holiday for a few days in York and always wanted to do this. Cost £85 each, 3 people doing it some £255. The whole experience was rushed. Didn’t know what I was doing some of the time because it was explained properly. Did not know I could buy gin from the shop at a discount until I asked when leaving to get my taxi. And unfortunately dropped my gin when getting out the taxi so it smashed . I was so upset and cried. My husband contacted them the next day and they had no good spirit. Just said I would have to buy my made gin again. No offer of a voucher or anything. I even emailed them when I got home because of my disappointment but no response. I loved their gin but I won’t be ordering from them again. So disappointing. So because of their short sightedness they have lost any more business from me. The experience was poor.

Gin experience was an amazing occasion. Great staff making an evening of fun with gin flowing freely throughout. Slingsby gins are great. We tried them all including the new Gooseberry and Old Tom ones and the Strawberry gin that will be on sale shortly.

Couldn't recommend the Master Distiller course enough. Alex our host was fantastic, plenty of drinks provided throughout and got to make our very own unique bottle of Gin. Will 100% be back to try a different course in the near future.

We went to the experience this month and really enjoyed the afternoon. The two members of staff, Alex and Ollie were very friendly and Alex was a great host, going into the history of gin. We tried a few flavours and never thought we’d buy a gooseberry gin, but we both enjoyed that flavour.

We had a quick visit to this Brilliant little gem today. Had a few samples and left with a lighter bank balance, but it was well worth it. We cant wait to return and do the full Gin Experience. Thank you for today and keep up the good work, we will see you soon, Dave & Karen.

What a treat! Our children bought this experience of gin as present & one of best ever presents! Nicely appointed lounge setting upstairs above shop. Staff were very friendly, accommodating & knowledgeable about gin. The explanation about the origins & development of gin was fascinating & interesting. To the main point of the event - gin tasting! The varieties of gins & tonics were supplied in copious amounts as well as the samples of straight gins! If you like gin YOU MUST GO🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸

What a fantastic experience at Slingsby - great gins had by all while we made our own gin during the master distillery experience. Great value for money and we’ll be back the next time we’re in the UK.

Harrogate Theatre is a small theatre showing a wide variety of shows at good prices. The Harrogate Theatre opened in 1900 designed by Frank Tugwell. Built in 1900 Harrogate Theatre is a typical example of a late Victorian proscenium arch venue built over five floors. The building has undergone several refurbishments, the last major one being between 2007-2011.

Attended Harrogate Theatre to see Shell Shocked in the studio. Absolutely riveting and amazing performance from the actors. The story had us all fixed in our seats, waiting to see what would happen next. Thank you for bringing this wonderful performance to Harrogate, and this performance delivered on all levels.

Beautiful theatre, and I'm so glad it has managed to survive the pandemic. It's been tough for them to find funds to keep going. Yes there might be some cosmetic improvements to make such as light bulbs, but I'm sure they will get there once we all pull together to support our wonderful little theatre which we are so lucky to have.

Great shows, reasonably priced. Absolutely beautiful building inside and out. I think it has 3 bars but definitely has 1 large bar and seating area. The theatre itself is stunning. I think the seats are spacious with good leg room. They serve ice cream at the back on breaks or sometimes in the corridors. You can buy the shows book as well(it's called something else, but i can't think of it). I haven't been to a bad show at the theatre yet. I hope this helps 🙂

Such a lovely, traditional theatre! We go every year, for the panto, and wouldn't miss it for the world! The cast feel as if they are almost friends! Such a friendly and enchanting place and atmosphere!

Superb stagecraft - great finale, avoiding a long curtain call. 'Jack' & 'Sarah' entertaining panto characters with 'sensible' narrative. Moderate satire and political jokes. Great costumes! 💃 👏

First visit here.Was expecting more however the actual building is beautiful with all the original features such as windows and foyer area. Looking tired and a bit grubby a inside with plenty of bulbs needing to be replaced in the lovely light fittings. Bar area comfortable and pleasant staff . For a February evening we needed some heating on as the place was freezing.. Not really a pleasure having to sit in our coats and scarves for the whole evening especially when one of our party members was over 80years old!! All in all the place needs some TLC!!

Went for the first time last night to the see the Real Thing. The band wanted to play nonstop but the venue insists on an interval, as they openly say they need to make money, even though it would kill the atmosphere. So therefore the backing band played for 20 mins, then had an interval. That said, the band got a half full theatre in full swing and we eventually had a great night.

The relaxed performances I took my children to were fantastic. We saw shrek and my daughter loved it. The relaxed performance was perfect for her as she's a young 1st time theater goer. We enjoyed it so much we went to a Christmas panto here too and it was spot on. The Xmas pantos are slightly pricey but that's a sign of the times I think rather than an issue only this theater has.

Came to see Shakespeare in love. Seats in the circle but sadly the sound system was poor. I checked with s colleague who is much younger thsm me thinking it eas me but she agreed as did a couple of other people around.

A beautiful little theatre and a great venue. Food and drink is overpriced but that's standard for any theatre. I'd recommend against getting a seat up in the balcony area if you're tall (over 6 foot). The seats are very upright and there's no leg room...it gets uncomfortable very quickly!

The theatre is a lovely little venue in the centre of Harrogate. It’s a little worn on the edges but overall a pleasant theatre. Staff were helpful. Toilets are tiny so try and go before any intervals! For parking, I’d recommend Jubilee car park, about 2 mins walk away.

Lovely little theatre in the middle of Harrogate surrounded by amazing restaurants.Obviously quite old it has so much character and history to it.We sat high up but the view and sound was amazing.Great little bar on the first floor to chill out meet new friends and watch the world go by.

Beautiful theatre and we saw a fabulous concert. All the staff were very helpful . Signage for downstairs loo and bar were not obvious and when I found the toilets there was a very long Ladies queue for not many cubicles.

We go as a family to the Christmas pantomime every year without fail! It truly is a delight. All the kids and the adults, too ( not going to lie), love it. The cast is fantastic and always puts on a truly mesmerising and entertaining show. Would highly recommend and great for showing support to Harrogate theatre and the actors who put a lot of effort in

Nice place for a stroll. We could not explore alot since it was getting a bit late, but overall felt very nice and peaceful. Carpark was vast and free. Toilets were in a reasonable condition as well.

Brilliant place to walk round lots to see on your way round a nice walk for families and dog owners a like all in all great day out but car park can get very busy

Quiet, lovely to see reservoir full again, bonus of Yorkshire ice cream in car park and loos open again. Parking currently free, but looks like payment machines being installed in the summer.

Beware of parking. We paid contactless, displayed ticket and came back within time slot. Few weeks later hit with a parking fee and they are making it very difficult to appeal even tho we still have the car parking ticket obtained by their machine and proof of payment on bank statement. Can't ring and can't email 😡 The area and walk itself is lovely hence the 4 stars. Parking zero stars.

A beautiful place of nature to visit. A flat circular path suitable for push chairs, wheelchairs and bikes. Free parking, toilets, picnic benches and ice cream stand. Bring your sandwiches and enjoy a serene day out. Took us nearly 3 hrs to walk round both fewston and swinsty but the lower part of swinsty is inaccessible at the moment.

Fewston Reservoir is a true gem in the North Yorkshire wildlife. With amazing views and plenty to see you could easily spend a day walking around and enjoy a picnic.

Such a great place for a walk. There’s a couple of car parks one at each end of the walk, we tend to park at the one between the two reservoirs where there’s toilets and a coffee/ice cream van. There’s decent parking and usually space, on New Year’s Day it’s very busy and you may need to wait or find somewhere else to park. The walk is great all nice paths and great scenery. Dogs love it and there is a spot where sheep are in the next field and some of the wall is low so worth keeping your dog on a lead around there if they’re likely to chase them. When you finish you can head back over the bridge back to the car park or start the walk around swinsty which is just as nice but a bit smaller.

Great walk with lovely views. Only one steep incline, wear comfy shoes and expect mud.

Nice walk all the way around. Car park isn’t free anymore. We payed £3 I think for 3+ hours. You pop your registration number in and I payed contactless so at least that process was easy as I never have change. I had my 4 kids with me and even thought walking around it with kids is possible within 2 hours I didn’t want the anxiety of running out of time. We actually look a little longer than 2 hours as we stopped a couple times. It’s a very busy reservoir with lots of people walking. Loads of dogs. It’s not my fav but I like to come back yearly.

Went to this place on the NHS help to move programme. Did a gentle , silent circular walk around the Fewston reservoir where most of the stretch was covered and bit of sunshine here and there. It’s a easy walk with not much ups and downs. There were senior people who were around 60 years of age who did this trail with us. If you wanna have your lunch amidst the woods facing the water then this spot is definitely for you.

What a great walk and the views are amazing. It's a steady walk around the reservoir and takes a hour and a half depending on your pace. The paths are all stoned up and at certain points you do have to cross roads to get to the following path. There is ample places to park your car and it feels safe to leave your car in the car parks. Lots of geese and swans on the reservoir so be sure to take some seed with you.

Beautiful peaceful place for walk at anytime of the year. Currently free parking (although this will change in 2023). Two reservoir walls together. 10.5km around both or 6.5km around Fewston and 5km around Swinsty. Yorkshire Water has improved access for wheel chairs around both and there are toilets at the car park off the damn between the two of them. The other two car parks have no facilities.

The Mercer Gallery is free to enter. It had some paintings for sale and a permanent collection. It is not far from Valkey Gardens. Collection changes regularly. It had a small shop toilet but mo cafe.

Wonderful visit to the Mercer Art Gallery when in Harrogate last week. Such an interesting gallery with lovely welcoming. enthusiastic and informative reception staff. Loved the new reflection art next to the old masters. Would deffo recommed a visit and doesn't take a huge amount if time to fit in when visiting the area, free and right next to the Pump House too.

This is an amazing art gallery with beautiful paintings all around, which are mostly of North Yorkshire and focus on the glorious coastlines within the county! The paintings are organised well by being placed in areas for each style and the addition of ornaments like jewellery in a few boxes is complimentary, plus there's a nice little shop where I bought a stationary park for just £2 that included print-out replicas of paintings.

We spent an enjoyable hour at the gallery, especially looking at the exhibition by Ian Mitchell. Some of his pictures in the foyer were rather high to view and so had a reflection on them but generally exhibits were well spaced out and easy to look at. A lovely resource for the town.

Interesting exhibition of Ian Mitchell’s work. This isn’t a very big gallery but does contain some interesting works. Also, it’s free but do make a voluntary contribution to ensure it stays that way.

A fab small gallery. One of many hidden gems when visiting Harrogate. I was privileged this weekend to be in Harrogate to catch and take in The Annual Open Event at The Mercer Gallery and, as usual, this well thought out and beautifully curated show came up trumps, in my far from humble opinion. I. S. Massie's "Whitby" was nice if a tad overpriced, thought I; but Sarah Whitton's magnificent "Ambassador's Curtain" at five grand had gained a red sticker. And though Neil Bolton had the first prize, and was also sold at £1050, the cheapest of his three oils, I'm afraid none of them did it for me. What did I like? Well, first of all, Ruth Fitton's almost classical "Whisper in My Ear" ... and then "Teatime at Betty's", a charming small Oil & Wax effort (slightly naive and in a silly frame) by Julie Cross took my fancy ... along with other exhibits like the "Straiths" oil, D. Allen's "Oak Study" and the two "Arles Market" & "Cafe Tabac" mixed media renditions and further, perhaps, a spattering of the rest. The main joy, though, was in the fun and yet fairly serious setting of such a gripping indictment to the effort of not only those involved in the administration and aesthetic side of all such undertakings but also the bounteous inherent talent in such a crowd of participants ... and the ever increasing attention duly given and received year after year in this modestly wonderful art gallery.

Very interesting. Helpful volunteer staff. There's a quiz for kids to do on the way round and my girls really learnt a few things. Make sure you get to listen to the polyphon. Beware the mine shaft!

Run by volunteers the museum contained a wealth of information and objects relating to the area. We were surprised at how long we had spent looking through the various rooms, a indication of how interesting it was. Would highly recommend you visit.

So many things to see in space larger than you'll think it will be! Absolutely spot on with the pricing too. A very enjoyable visit.

What a beautiful museum full choc a bloc of local history and the staff are simply amazing, so eager to help answer any questions and so friendly, very warm and kind. We really enjoyed our visit 10/10 for tourists😊

Great museum, small, but surprising how many historical items it contains. From ancient artifacts to more modern pieces, the museum serves to explain the historical significance of Pateley Bridge and the surrounding areas. The staff here is very nice and easy to talk to.

Amazing little nugget. Only knew about this place from word of mouth but its definitely worth a look. £3 entry per adult and kids get in free. It's small but keeps you busy as there are tons of things to look at. Toilets are kept very clean and staff are amazing. Lovely to visit and the whole thing will take you around an hour to see.

This museum is a hidden gem! If you get a chance to visit, please don't miss. Much more than I expect. Very good layout and flow of the rooms that makes you feel like you have teleported back in time. Not only items but workshops and photos giving impression about life years ago. Very friendly staff. You will never guess that the entire place is run by volunteers.

It's an amazing museum packed with thousands of various everyday objects from Nidderdale area. The attention to detail is magnificent. And a good video too about the reservoirs. One of the best museums I've been into. The people there were lovely and very helpful. I asked where to go to view the reservoirs and they patiently explained it.

Packed with fascinating historical objects and decor. Lovingly and carefully displayed in small rooms. Somewhere you could spend hours or just one hour. A hidden gem really. Loved the layout, especially the last leg down the spooky mine!!

Spiteful and disproportionate action fencing off nearly all the land at Crimple Valley where many people have enjoyed walking over the last 15 years. Yes, it’s your land but you have cut people off from a decent safe walk. Including disabled people! Decent dog walkers… etc etc. . As supposed ‘custodians of the countryside’ this is shameful, out of touch and very shortsighted. And you know it, Allister the chopper Nixon CEO! It’s your doing without doubt. Let us hope people stop using your expensive chuck wagon and glorified farm shop. I and my many dog walking matés certainly will from now on. I hope you - Nixon - enjoy your woefully poor decision from your plush ivory tower! You have outrageously ostracised your local community! U🔝🤡

A great show, we love it. It's an annual event that we won't miss. It's like a holiday for us, meeting friends we only ever see once a year

Expensive for kids which is disappointing. To take my 3 year old to try a short climbing session it was £16. For comparison, at Leeds depot she was recently admitted for free. This centre should be ashamed to charge so much for pre schoolers. Staff didn’t tell me, but it turns out a months family membership is very cost effective if you go more than once and climb yourself too. Great tip from another parent 👍 Climbs were friendly enough for a kid and staff seem nice. I didn’t climb, so couldn’t comment on this. Nice looking coffee shop with kids toy area next door.

A well managed wall with friendly and experienced staff. The variety of routes (lead, top rope, auto belay, bouldering) and frequency that they are updated is enough for my needs. Beginner classes are great and I've seen how good they are with the groups of children.

My 8 year old really enjoyed his session. The instructor was very informative giving clear instructions & put any doubts at ease allowing him to push himself to do a little better & go a little highter. Would highly recommend

Great session taking my nephew climbing, good mix of top ropes available and auto belays meant I could climb too. Covid measures all clearly explained and climbers following them.

Rather small, we were very disappointed in what Harrogate wall had to offer. The staff room seems bigger than the bouldering area

A newbie to the world of climbing, after a tourist climb adventure in Gran Canaria, always thought climbing was an odd sport, and erm now I'm hooked. So I have recently attended a private tuition session, before I move to Scotland to commence an outdoor activity instructor course!. The facilities at Harrogate are brilliant, cafe is wonderful and the equipment, climbing areas and staff are excellent, my instructor Henry ( maybe Harry- sorry). Was very patient with me asked me what my goals were and was happy to start me on rope work, knots and belaying.. I brilliant session, with a further instructor, trusting me to belay. I back again in Sunday, Thanks team for your expertise, patience and encouragement. You do a cracking job, and have installed a passion in me for climbing!! Absolutely life changing. Cheers PP.

Me and my friends had an amazing time at this gym, where the staff got us checked in promptly and made sure we were going on a suitable course! Any climbing shoes needed were provided and the bouldering course has different difficulty lines, colour-coded from low to high. We all really enjoyed the course, climbing all over the lines and feeling high energy!

Booked a last minute climb for my 2 children 10 and 15, the staff were amazing, really friendly and able to coach the children well. They both really enjoyed it. Will be back again soon. Thanks!
