If it is possible to give judgement about river... about Neretva you can not say it's not beautiful.. or with ugly colour... Neretva is more than beautiful and you definitely will like it! But, it is very very dangerous river, very cold and unbelievable unpredictable..

The Neretva, and in particular its delta, are a fascinating place to visit. It is a fertile area where primarily citrus and pomegranate farming exist side by side with extensive reed beds. It is a unique way of life lived between land and water. Who knows how long it will last or how it might change. The boat tours are well worth it to see what lies oit in the delta. A cuisine of eels, frogs fantastic stews is balanced with great wines and unique herbal spirits.

My favourite river in the whole world! Emerald green, cool and with a differt mood depending on the season.

It is a small bazaar with not many variety or interesting items to buy other than souvenirs so only worth a visit if you are near the area. On the positive side, it is well-maintained and visually looks good plus it is also recently quiet in comparison to others in big cities.

Lovely part of the city that yet transports you to a completely different cultural experience. Love how lively this old bazar is which is of course unsurprisingly packed but not too much that movement is impossible. The colors, the set up, the old bazar in itself is is just a sight to behold. People were extremely nice too.

Lots of little stores with souvenirs to buy. Worth having a look if you are in the area, otherwise just like any other market in bosnia.

Old market ir absolutely must see un visit place. It is the car-free area of Mostar. In this part of town you can find many artisans selling their traditional handicrafts from little shops by the side of the street: there are several interesting copper items and beautiful carpets, as well as clothes, scarves, jewelry, pipes and nargilehs. It's also the oldest - and luckily most intact - part of town.

Nice mosaue with a perfect minaret wiev you can pay for inside and the minaret seperately but its recommended by all the people so we went in and its worth it, good place to watch people jump from the mostar bridge. And inside is amazing with old vibes and rugs its a very good place for praying too very cold in hot waethers.

Small but beautiful mosque. Can go inside for a small fee. Recommend climbing to the top of the minaret, but be careful because it’s not wide enough to pass by someone in the stairway.

Recommend purchasing a ticket with entry to the minaret (not just the mosque) as it offers a breath-taking view of the Old Bridge and the entire city. You can also access the garden from where the view is amazing as well. I was provided with proper clothing at the entrance as I was wearing shorts.

It's definitely worth it to climb up to the minaret. Though beware it's very very narrow. You can have amazing views of the old bridge at the top. If you are a woman you don't have to cover your head. You also don't have to remove your shoes. The mosque fountains provide some cold refreshing water too. I filled up my bottle here so many times.

We didn't realise we had to pay to get inside the mosque, and it costs 14KM per person. However, if the entrance fees are imposed for the upkeep of the mosque, then we are happy to pay for it. The view of Mostar Old Town from the top of the minaret is well worth the fee we had to pay. It is just absolutely beautiful from up there. Certainly not to be missed!! THE BEST VIEWS OF STARI MOST. Having been to Mostar several times in kuding visits to the nearby karadoz beg mosque, we had never seen the unrivalled views from the minaret here. Inside is original and restored decoration. The grounds have benches with unrestricted views of Stari Most (old Bridge) Ticket is 15km for both mosque grounds and minaret.

The most well known mosque in Mostar. It offers fantastic views of the Stari Most bridge from the minaret. Dating to 1618, this mosque was founded by Mehmed Koskija, the biographer of the Grand Vizier Lala Mehmud Sokovic. The beautiful interior of the mosque has painted wall murals and a lush carpet that was a gift from Austrian monarch Franz Joseph. With an entrance fee of 3 Euros, it is worth a look and climb to the top of the minaret!

This mosque is not only a saint place it’s also a view point. For around 1€ you can climb in the Minaret (tower) and have beautiful view.

It's a small pretty mosque in Mostar. The interior is very simple. We went up the minar to see the views from the top and they were stupendous. Wasn't very happy about the narrow stairs but the views were woth it. For 7€ they should do better traffic management up and down the stairs.

Authentic 1500s Ottoman residence hidden up a side street directly east of the bridge south of the historic mostar bridge. Barely signposted... Just walk up the neighborhood alley about 70m ( it's just after the point you think you've missed it). UNESCO listed but privately owned makes it somewhat awkward... You ring a doorbell and wait (& wait) for a neighbour to come with a key. Token entry fee couple of euros but you're free to roam... shoeless for the upstairs. Amazingly cool inside and hard to believe the vintage. Very much an eye opener of ottoman family life. An essential detour while visiting Mostar.

Absolutely loved this hidden jem at the heart of Master old town. It is well preserved so one can get the feel of how it would have been to live here some hundred years back.

All the other reviews have it right: a beautifully preserved house, with exquisite rugs, woodwork, traditional clothing and cooking items, and a real sense of what it must have felt like to live here hundreds of years ago. The owner welcomed us and showed us around and told us about his family home, even though it was closed for August. A welcome shady oasis from the summer sun and a fascinating piece of authentic history.

Absolutely mesmerising. Beautiful architecture, the host is a friendly man happy to tell you about its history and takes care of it. Built before Stari Most as a trial and smaller version. It’s a cute wee bridge and much easier to walk on than Stari Most! Unfortunately like the Stari Most this was also rebuilt due to a flood that occurred. At night there is live music here (what seems like every night) by this bridge so I recommend coming here to enjoy that and sit along the wall besides the bridge!

Artwork masterpiece, truly unique, what a shame that nobody is taking better care of this place and sculptures, and how horrible what vandals have done to the plaques. I hope that Mostar will restore this breathtaking piece of art as soon as possible, for the respect of the art, the artist, and even more important, those who were buried there. There is no political reason that can justify such negligence.

We went there a couple of days after all the plaques had been vandalised. However this did not take anything away from the experience. A must see when visiting Mostar. Designed in 1965 as a memorial for those who gave their lives fighting fascism. It is designed in a brutalised form of architecture which is stunning with a heavy soviet Influence. At present the authorities do not know who vandalised it but believe it could be some as stupid as drunken youths. I could criticise and say the authorities could do more on the upkeep but given the circumstances of a not to distant war they can be excused. Give it a visit you won't be disappointed. And for fun you are almost certainly going to pass the Bruce Lee statue and sniper tower on the way.

The place looks dangerous for me at the beginning... Quiet, no people and I was alone 😂 but later, when I saw some girls walking around stonewalls I calmed down and just have enjoyed the perfect view from there.

Along my bicycle trip in the Balkan, I noticed many monuments and partisan's busts. My third and last day in town, as I was asking about partisans, someone told me about this cemetery. I didn't know before my visit of the cemetery that partisans where of different religions and not only comunists, but fighting together against the nazis. Some days before, on my way to Mostar, I asked a man who represent those two busts in a school garden and answered with two words that meant the whole world to me: "Partesans,... No comunist"! If I would have stayed at home, reading philosophical books, of course I would have learnt a little bit more of life, but not so much as I have learnt from this bosnian man that I met on the road. The entrance of the cemetery is really surprising, the architect who designed it was really genial. Do not go on Internet and read it all. Go there and visit the partesans cemetery of Mostar.

The catholic cathedral which was burned and now it is on the place again. Nice place and when they will finish the works it will be beautiful again. There is also nice exhibition inside.

Jozuf welcomed us for a private tour of the mosque way after the closing hours. We were lucky. He told us briefly about the history and design of the mosque, answered all the questions, and even let us go at the very top of the mosque to get an incredible view of the whole city of Mostar. It is the main mosque of Herzegovina. From the inside, you will see amazing ornaments of ottoman architecture. The tower, that is called ''munara'' provides magnificient view. From it, you see the whole city. The mosque was built in 1567., by Mehmed-karađoz, as ''vakuf'', which means endowment. In Islam, a man receives award after death in three cases: if he has created something useful for the mankind, if he has a child that prays for him, and if he leaves the endowment. He has also put in the endowment ''medresa''(middle school) and a library.

Muslibegović House is a national monument and a museum located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The monument complex includes a residential building and two courtyards, including the surrounding walls with entrance gateways, and movable property. Some of its most valuable exhibits include the manuscript of the Qur'an made by Sami levhas from 1855, and a decorated sabre from 1866. The residential complex of the Muslibegović family, located in Mostar's Brankovac mahala, dates from the second half of the 18th century. The main house was extended in the period between 1871 and 1872, when two rooms were added on the ground floor and two additional ones on the upper floor. According to a former building owner, Muhamed Muslibegović, the building works were carried out by a man referred to as Janjic, though the wood carvings, which took two years to complete, were imported from other regions. The house was commissioned by Mehmed Muslibegović, who owned extensive land properties, particularly in Popovo polje. The Muslibegović family house is considered one of the most significant examples of residential architecture of Ottoman-era Herzegovina. The complex has preserved its original residential use and ownership over the years. Today, the section of a building is used as hotel and it consists of twelve bedrooms. The house has been declared the as one of the world's best accommodations.

A lovely turkish house, a well kept remnant from the ottoman empire. A beautiful place with amazing architecture. My only flaw is that you cannot access the whole house as it is also a hotel. The displays are interesting and informative and interior is amazing. A cheap price of €2 per person and children go free. I would recommend this for a short 20 minute visit.

Nice place friendly staff. The bed was great. Great courtyard and breakfast room. Socks and slippers only in the rooms. The towels were pure startch.

Beautiful rooms, very nicely decorated. The Accommodations are superb. The bed is too soft in my opinion. The woman who checked us in was friendly and accommodating. If you are not familiar with the area, you will find parking to be very difficult and the streets extremely narrow and hard to navigate. Be sure to stop in and ask to park in their lot, as parking on the street is very limited. The breakfast is a continental style, with meats and cheeses. When we arrived for breakfast there was only 1 omelette left and there were 4 people in our party. No one came to bring more omelettes and we were there for at least 1/2 hr. The coffee was nice and strong. Overall it was a very nice stay.

Very special place to stay in Mostar, the building is the 2nd oldest remaining ottoman in Bosnia where you stay in the original rooms, perfectly maintained. 10/10 distance to the old town centre, super close and very quiet. Highly recommend as an extra something for your stay in Mostar

A true hidden gem! Astonishing place and easily the most beautiful hotel we have ever been! 5min walk to the city center of Mostar, but still a very nice and quiet place with lots of privacy. Very caring personel and clean, extraordinarily beautiful rooms. Noted as one of the ten best hotels in the world by Expedia's travellers guide a few years ago - not surprisingly. Nicely maintained historic house, we had a pleasant stay here. We had 3 rooms on the ground floor which were comfortable, bathrooms are on the smaller side - but I guess that’s expected The owners were very hospitable and friendly, helping out with a number of things since we were traveling with kids. The breakfast spread was small but sufficient. Eggs, ham, bread, fruits and yummy cakes! The Bosnian coffee was top notch too Location is good as well, about 10 min walk to the Mostar bridge. Number of historic sites are within a walkable distance Streets are narrow…keep in mind if you are driving a big vehicle like us. Good part is that there is paid private parking but worth avoiding the hassle of street parking

We got free room upgrade and rooms ware spacious and very comfortable. Bathroom not so much. Breakfast is very nice but we miss more local food. Staff is excellent.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were really nice to us. They were kind and helpful, we also got a welcome drink. Our rooms were incredibly nice, we only found the bathroom a bit narrow, but it's alright because of the style of the accomodation. The hotel has its own museum, where they tell us the history of the hotel. We had a breakfast in a nice garden. Moreover, safe parking places are provided. It was a great experience to get up to the sound of the muezzin in the morning. Visiting the city was also satisfying. Almost everyone knows a few words in Hungarian.😊 It was a pleasure to meet such nice people there. I will absolutely go back again.

The place is not only hotel. Here is a museum. Museum guide was a kind lady. She will show you all details and explain how was life for the house holder. İf you go there with car, do not forget to find correct place for park :) otherwise you will call police :)

Big enough, practical place to have relaxing afternoon, do your shopping, (for clothing, cosmetics, food etc..) have some fun with small or teen kids.. But.. lately it is not maintained.. Underground garage levels looks too old.. toilets without soap or hand towels, with broken parts.. dirty walls.. It is really necessary to do some hard work.. not much for 5 stars again

What an amazing hotel. We took a trip from Split to Mostar for a night and we were sorry we didn't spend longer here. The hotel was cheap for a 5 star and it's location was fantastic. The view from our room was amazing. The pool/spa area was big with a big pool, 3 saunas and a pleasure shower. We didn't get a chance to explore the whole shopping mall but it is very big with a handy grocery store at bottom. The only downside was when we rang reception to see if we could get a massage and they said they'd get back to us and never did. Only a small thing but worth noting. The room itself was massive with a bathroom including a shower and bath. I'd definitely recommend if you're staying in Mostar.

Mall like mall. Lot of shops and a parking. But what a parking! For someone from the EU this is pure madness I can't imagine how anyone was able to design it. Few levels, lot of separated blocks, no signs, no light, no ventilation and pure chaos. Exceptional experience.

A nice mall for Bosnian standards but please be careful of pick-pocketing. I had an older woman who dressed nicely come up behind me and opened the outside pocket of my backpack. I didn't understand why she got close to me at the grocery store and was asking how much my dark bread cost. I knew to not put anything in that pocket. As an added tactic, she started speaking lower so that I get closer to her and try to understand. A fair warning: Just because someone is older than you doesn't mean that they will act in a moral, honest way. It doesn't matter the socio-economic background, there are pick-pocketers from all. I later on reflected that it was her generation that allowed Yugoslavia to collapse and all the young people to leave the Balkans looking for a better life. There is very little sense of trust and it can be abused by older people.

Great place but not of the banks atm’s supports NFC, it was all turned off… terrible in such a huge mall with many tourists. Not everyone wants to use cards.

Best view in town (after the bridge). The views are passing by all the time if you sit down at the cafe at the entrance:)

Kakav narod pusi u Mall... stvarno gadno! If you want to have an ethnological experience and go back in time when people used to smoke indoors, this is your place. Otherwise stay away.

Large shopping mall with numerous shops and most of them by the greatest world brands. It is wonderful place for all of those who like spend a day in shoping. Yo have everything to do so, shops, restauraunts, caffe bars, cinema... Sometimes it could be too crowded.

15 BAM for entry is slightly steep, but the museum itself was very interesting.

I cried as I red the pieces of paper of against war messages that children wrote. Don't forget how terrifying consequences of civil war is. We never know how people suffered between these borders. Near god is the way to Mostar and Sarajevo a red cross.

A must visit to understand the Balkans and the history behind so many of the countries. Can get very busy inside, they didn't limit the people going in... We only had 1.5hours but I recommend 2 or more.

It is by far the most touching and emotionally impactant museums I have ever been to! Difficult not to cry when you read the first hand accounts of people that survived the most horrendous tortures of the war. The museum was prepared and is maintained by the families of victims. A must-go place if you want to understand the impacts of the Bosnian war in the lives of thousands of civilians. Do not miss it!

A must see if you are in Móstar. The little museum had lots of information. It exhibits personal belongings of people affected during those years of war, explicit photos of the inhuman conditions bodies were kept or found, personal belongings donated by people who survived or objects recovered in abandoned houses or mass graves... Besides that’s, they provide an amount of information in individual cards displayed around the walls when you go downstairs. They include full name, photography, criminal charge and amount of years to remain in jail. The stories of personal experiences during the concentration camps made my eyes tears. I recommend this place for people who like to learn about history and taking the time to read every description that are provide on top of the objects.

Never forget what happend in srebrenica. After second world war first genocide on european soil. More than 8372... Inocent civilan were killed. Man between 16-90 were separated from their relatives and killed.

Amazing museum that shows the truth and reality of the history behind the known Serbernishta genocide. Must go for everyone, highly recommended.

You will leave this museum with a heavier heart than when you entered. Not recommended for young children, as the realities of war are shown with no censorship. Important to remember, and hopefully prevent happening again, although this seems unlikely with ethnic cleansing a feature of modern conflicts. Small museum but memorable.

A must visit to truly understand what Bosnians went through during the war. My husband and I spent 2hours here. 10km for adults and 8km for students (we showed our isic). Moving and intese. Very well designed too. Highly reccommended!

It's an important museum that no one, particularly those visiting as tourists should miss while visiting Mostar. The history is as important, if not more, than just seeing the picturesque town and the beautiful people and culture here that was once devastated and destroyed by war and ethnic cleansing. It is a sad and tragic history that no one should ever forget. The price thousands of innocent people have to pay for greed and ethnic hatred.

If you want to find out something about the every day life and tradition during the ottoman period, then this is a good choice.

If you want to touch the history of a traditional BiH's family from 17,18 Centuries highly recommend to come and see the Biscevica house on the banks of the Neretva River.

This is a beautiful, well maintained traditional house.. The only down fall is they try to pack to many groups in a once, we had to stand in the court yard in melting heat waiting to get upstairs. But it was really beautiful to see.. And I loved the story of the original lady owner, travelled the world spending her late husbands money, as he wouldn't allow her to spend anything when he was alive.. My kinda woman 😊

Zero explanation or history. When we asked for more information the girl told us that everything was written on the wall (just a paper that said the date of the house). So you see the house and didn’t learn anything from that.

One of the best museums of the ottoman / Turkish period of governing the area. The entrance is just 2 Marks , about one euro, the place is small and you could visit in nearly 30 minutes. Everything is well arranged inside the house, the staff are nice, kind and welcoming. You could buy also some photographs or souvenirs inside the house. You could also enjoy the river from the window or from outside by taking the stairs

Preserved residential house from the Ottoman/Turkish period with a beautiful courtyard. Very kind and friendly staff and very interesting to see, how people lived at those times.

A good old house belongs to a family and it is used a museum now. In summers when tourists come they open it but in winters they open it only with the reservation of tour groups. The structure is also protected by law. Inside you can see all old stuff used and photos of the owners of the house.

Nice place to visit but quite small. I was expecting more from it. Worth to check it out and I hope they can approve the place with the ticket money they collect (2€ per person, children free of charge). Some parts of the building are not restored yet. The turtle wondering around in the yard was a nice surprise 🐢

Beautiful and interesting mini museum. A nice quiet break from the crowds in the old town. Just €2 to get in, and kids go free.
