We had a wonderful visit and joined the first guided tour of the morning. As the weather was poor the footfall was quiet and we were lucky enough to receive a guided tour for the two of us which lasted for over an hour. A mature gentleman called Michael took us round and had a fabulous balance of knowledge, dates and a really good sense of humour. We learnt so much more from the guided tour and would thoroughly recommend.

Free to enter place of worship. Worth going to see the tomb of King John alone. On this visit certain sections weren't open due to repairs , which did spoil the visit a little. There are some great tombs and a wonderful carved wooden triptych. Also a lovely cloister area to walk round which is where you will find a cafe, toilets and gift shop. We'll worth a visit. Most days the cathedral shuts at 5pm

For Worcester Cathedral, admission is free, as is common with other cathedrals in the UK. It boasts the classic Gothic architecture typical of such buildings and is undeniably beautiful. A visit is highly recommended, as it stands as the main highlight of Worcester. If you find yourself in Worcester, a visit to the cathedral is a must. Other notable attractions include the High Street and a stroll along the riverside, but none quite match the grandeur of the cathedral.

Beautiful cathedral and we really appreciated that they were experimenting with allowing dogs on leads to enter. We weren't allowed to take her into places reserved for quite contemplation, but that was clearly marked and politely explained, so it was easy to comply. The cathedral is stunning. Good explanation panels everywhere, but also a real sense of the history and the purpose of the place. Cage in the cloisters. Loved the beautiful crypt.

Wonderful cathedral, easy access by rail, you need a couple of hours inside to see everything, the tomb of king John & prince Arthur prince of Wales are here. Look out for the stained glass with the pink giraffe & find out its history. Lovely cafe on site/gift shop/toilet's.

A really interesting place to visit, whether to immerse oneself in the tranquility it affords or to aquaint oneself with the history of the cathedral. Have visited several times but still manage to unearth a gem or two. Partook of food from the cafeteria which although not cheap was excellent. Well worth a visit if in the vicinity and time allows.

Worcester Cathedral is almost the same interior design like the rest of every cathedral in the country. Maintenance was superbly very well done. The added beauty of this cathedral was those gigantic trees on the main entrance and garden. It is also looking at the River Severn as you stand in the back garden.

There is a warm welcome at the door, and a (free) guide to point out key dates and treasures as you step inside. You are instantly imbibed by the historical and musical atmosphere of the cathedral. Well worth a visit! Such history! Not only the tomb of notorious King John but also that of King Arthur, brother of Henry VIII. How might history have been different had he survived? (Free, but you are invited to make a donation).

A beautiful building, a stunning cathedral, really big, clean and well maintained. Set in a central location in the town, easy to find and car parks nearby. It was free entry, but you should definitely give a donation. If you walk around the back, a path leads to the water with hundreds of swans in. The architecture, sculptures and Graves are exquisite. The people working there were all helpful, the toilets were spotless and the cafe was nice too. I found the crypt interesting with all its informative signs. I spent a couple of hours here, but could have easily spent all day. I love places like this. They had a shop too. I have shared a 9 minute video, taken on my phone, on YouTube, @urbantiger6540, a short tour around the cathedral just to give people an idea of how it looks.

The park are is flat in the main but some of the trails do twist and turn up and down to follow the natural ground level. A great Visitor Centre and picnic area is close beside the car park. The is a large ‘wild’ play areas and an events field and unusually meeting rooms which are all good for wheelchairs and pushchairs across paving or flattened stone paths. Parking areas marked for disabled visitors within the rough stone car park with toilets for disabled visitors. There are two Woodland Trails to find through the Woods and Meadows which are suitable (but obviously can be muddy) for wheelchairs and pushchairs Visitors would be well advised to visit the Country Park website and download the pdf map.

Perfect place for hike with little kids, dog or even bike destinatios. Big wood area with many patches to explore. Plenty of green and wet fields. Nice big space to go for a walk and if you have a dog, they'll love it. There are walks in to the wooded area and across some fields, so quite a bit of choice. There are toilets in the main building and a really good cafe serving drinks and food. For the young ones there is a play area which is very popular. During the wet months it does get quite muddy due to popular use, so be prepared. In the summer it's great, and really nice to see so many people using the space.

Nice little area to while away an hour or two while waiting for my dad to be treated at the hospital. It's directly attached to the hospital car park, and a 10-minute stroll - through the woods or along a paved pram/wheelchair-friendly path - gets you to the park and cafe area. Not far from the M5 junction. We often stop off here for the kids to play. It can get very busy on the weekends and summer holidays. Free car park which is always a bonus. There is a large open field and a wooded walk which is always good to take the dog for a walk. There is also toilets onsite and a cafe.

Always busy at weekends and school holidays. Good playground facilities for children and plenty of open spaces to walk or just sit and watch the world go by. Plenty for dog walkers, especially exploring the woodlands. The Orchard cafe does excellent coffee and bacon butties but try their menu as you will not be disappointed with their other food options. Plenty of outside seating enjoyed by dag walkers and the cafe serves treats for your dog. There is plenty of space and tables for those who prefer to picnic. The toilet facilities are not special but adequate and mostly clean. We often visit just to enjoy a short walk in the country park, followed by coffee and a snack. Well recommended.

Fantastic day out, took kids to splash park and it was perfect. Extremely clean and safe!! Finished off with a couple of games of cricket. Very clean and tidy all round, Toilets were kept relatively clean considering the volume of people using them. Icecreams were on the expensive side but the free parking (when you could find somewhere to literally dump the car) made up for this. Highly recommended for a day trip with the kids.

Fantastic splash park. Travelled from Ross on Wye as nothing like this in Ross. My granddaughter with autism loved it, not only to join in with other children but from the sensory aspect too. Great that children can splash about without the hassle of alternative restrictive swimming pools. Great for families to socialise. Great cafe and play park. A real gem for all aspects of well- being for all. And its free! Wonderful atmosphere. Reminded me of my childhood at a local open air swimming pool during the late 70's.

A very interesting NT property. Although you can visit the garden & cafe when you wish, the house is only accessible by guided tour. These can’t be booked prior to arrival, so best to come here (bookings are opposite on the other side of the road to the arched entrance to the property) first as you get to Worcester and get yourself booked in. Our guide (Karen) was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Had a very nice lunch at the Cafe.

Had a brilliant guided tour today with David. Humerous and informative he kept the tour group captivated with tales of the history of the property and its custodians through time. Stunning small property, with a little cafe on site. Not sure on the suitability for children, none in our tour group, but for adults a great way to spend a couple of hours. We took the opportunity of booking in advance a tour of this wonderful property. The tour was conducted by the marvellous Clare who enthralled us with the history of a most unusual house which has certainly witnessed some momentous events over the last 500 plus years. We enjoyed the tour but was well aware that a tour of the house is not suitable for those who are not able to negotiate steep steps to the first floor.

We visited in the half-term, they ran tours every hour from 11am to 2pm, we arrived just before 12 and the 12 o’clock tour was already full, however, after booking on to the 1pm we were able to have a look around the beautiful little garden, do the activities they had set up in the garden and sit having a drink from the cafe in the sun which was lovely. The tour lasts about an hour, and is the only option if you want to look around the house as far as I know, the tour guide was very informative and friendly, excellent at explaining the extensive history of the house. With the house being in the city centre it’s a great stop off point for an hour or two on a day trip.

Once we found it, it was brilliant. There is no parking on site so you have to use the public car parks. That's ok , we paid £3.50 and we could have stayed all day in Worcester. The downside is the lack of signage to the house while walking. When we found it we didn't know where to go to show our NT cards so we just went into the house. We were really lucky in that we arrived just as Gloriana Living History we're about to start a demonstration of Elizabethan dancing. Really good and the costumes were amazing. We asked Fiona, our fantastic guide where we should have gone to show our membership and it turned out to be a bookshop across the road. Excellent house from the 15th century. We are lucky to have an excellent guide called Peter who knew his subject and was engaging. The tour takes 1 hour and tells the story of the house and it's owners over the centuries. Tours 5ake place at 11am and 12 noon. There might be tours in the afternoon as well.

Really well laid out and informative exhibition based on the Dyson Perrin Collection and that of Royal Worcester themselves. This is independent of Royal Worcester themselves who have departed this town when it got taken over. This is a comprehensive journey through the history of the firms and the changes in taste and clientele arranged in chronological order with introductory video and a free audio guide by John and Henry Sandon and Lars Tharp highlighting notable pieces. There are are also displays centred around various individual artists like William Billingsley. The gift shop ingeniously has some second hand copies of books now out of print along with the usual new books and other offerings.

We were part of a group visit and were welcomed with tea/coffee and biscuits. After that a lady called Avril showed us how she used to make the flowers, ranging from life-size to extremely small. It was fascinating watching how she worked. Afterwards we were free to wander around with the audio guides. It was a very enjoyable visit.

I totally recommend to anyone to go and see and look round this museum . Plus they do workshops to create your own little pieces of pottery, ideal to take little ones along . A fantastic display showing fine examples and explaining the skills, people and history of the Worcester Porcelain industry. That such skills were here and aren't anymore seems a dereliction of care. The designs, pottery skills and artwork withstand the closest examination. Not far from the Cathedral and the river, quite a trio of attractions. The city centre is nice as well with a great range of architecture. I'd like to visit again.

A rainy day in November saw us visit The Commandery and it was a good experience. Informative staff and no other visitors so we had the unexpectedly large building to ourselves. Some people might find it boring but this rambling structure is full of history and each room had a story to tell from medieval times to the twentieth century. There us a lift to the upper levels and there is a great little cafe which offers wonderful cakes and tasty tea.

It was free to enter when I visited with my 17 year old son. There is a lot to see across the five rooms over two floors. The building itself is a beautiful Tudor building that, like the area around it, defies the fact that it's in the middle of a city. It was interesting to read about Worcester's history. It is free to enter but there are donation boxes if you wanted to make a donation. There is also a little cafe there (I didn't go in there so can't comment on it). Tudor House Museum has a lot of narrow stairs so may be difficult/impossible for those with physical disabilities. However, the downstairs parts are accessible (although not very spacious).

I attended the council-run Black History Month event there. It is superb that Worcester can have such an event. The mayor hosted a guided tour of the building, which was amazing; from its early beginnings 809 years ago to the ornate building we have today. He mentioned that the guildhall is the people's building and is open to the public on most days, all day. I will be back. The history of the cells below the court room was especially interesting.

So it’s ok here. Prices are high, I found the tipsters to be very sharp with people who are knew to betting - you can’t put an each bet on this one- bit there is good opp to see the horses and jockeys up close and a good atmosphere. The Tote is in the bar not at the advertised hit in the middle. People don’t go all out dressing up but some do. As a person new to racing and betting I thought they could have introduced this more. The guide you get is pretty good though and worth looking at. Their tips pretty much came in 1, 2, or 3.

We have been a few times and had a great time. Mostly good but yesterday the bar service was awful. We went to a rum and reggae event so they knew how many people would be there and it took almost 1.5 HOURS to get a drink. Everyone had to buy 2 or 3 rounds to avoid going back to the bar. And we missed 3 of the 7 races. Lots of bar staff just slow, grumpy and inexperienced. Not like this on previous visits but it let down this one.

I've been to a couple of big events here now. The balloon festival had loads of stalls and plenty of food & drink to choose from. The weather was perfect and all the balloons took off as planned. What an amazing sight! The 2nd event was the Wacky Weekend. Great band line-up on the main stage and on side stages, lots of stalls & food & drink and the portaloos were immaculate! We attended yesterday (4th June) for ladies day. First impressions were unfortunately not good, we went into the main bar which was more like a very old fashioned working mens club. The decor and furnishings were tired and more seating desperately needed. Outside there were food and drink vans provided by a third party caterer. Food was adequate, but not worth the inflated prices. £20 for a chicken burger, pulled pork and 1 portion of chips. I do appreciate you'll always pay a bit more at these kind of venues but considering the ticket price to get in (which was expensive) v's experience, I'll stick to jeans and trainers by the race track next time. I would like to say, all the staff we encountered were great 👍🏼

Everything started well, arrived early and got a good pitch in the stand 30 yards from the line. Some good races and close finishes but sadly no cigar. The racing was enjoyable but then came the main event, James Bay in concert and he and his band were excellent, with James really rocking and saying how much he has missed live performing but he totally smashed it. My only negative on the night was Burger Street food van. 1 hot dog, no onions offered and a stale roll, 1 chicken burger, 1 tiny portions of overcooked, hard and greasy chips £16.50, add in 2 cans of Pepsi at £2.50 apiece and you have been right royally ripped off and that's the only reason I dropped from 5 stars. Worcester racecourse 5 stars, Burger Street food 0 stars Just avoid Burger Street is my Recommendation.

I love this place - it is pretty small, so if you have younger children it's a great introduction to the museum / gallery experience. I love the mix of history and art; there always seems to be something new to look at. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is always some level of interaction available with different exhibitions. An interesting museum detailing some of Worcester's history. There is a definite bias towards military history, which is fine, but I would also like to have seen more of the social and industrial history. There an interesting staged exhibition of an antique chemist's shop, which you can only enter for a tour on certain days. Otherwise you can admire only through the glass. The museum is free to enter, but there may be charges for admission to the art gallery.

Well worth a visit. Didn't access the art gallery on my visit but viewed the extensive militaria collection which includes the history of some of the local regiments and their exploits. Some interesting natural history exhibits . A small cae on one of the gallery landings provides good food and drinks at a reasonable cost . No admission fees make this a worthwhile place to while away a few hours if you get the opportunity.

I really liked this place, but being an archaeologists I was hoping for more roman iron age saxon displays, but that's just me. The displays on how the Worcester rehiments came to be and expansion from the 18th century to present day is breath taking the 19th century industrialisation of Worcester has been really well put together. The art gallery has been nicely put together, and at the time of visiting a display of art from Cornwall to the malvern Hills was on djow ,with dome impressive pieces. Lively friendly staff, little coffee bar, dorry didn't check disabled access, but I'm sure there eould be something. Town centre parking available, 5..10 minutes walk along the main drag. Enjoy.😁

Attended a function in the Graeme Hick Pavilion. The view out onto the Cricket Pitch was great. There was plenty of room and well laid out. Good bar facilities, the buffet and staff were first class. All in all a very good function room.

Visited for the first time last week. Some areas are looking tired but the shop was not too bad price wise. The seats are not very comfy if you are sitting for a while. Saw some people taking padded cushions which is a good idea. Hardly any shade when hot and sunny so take hats, suncream etc.. the food was excellent and not too pricey.. it was a good day of cricket and we will be back.

The ground used to be very pretty, but the modern stands are really ugly. Nevertheless, there are still great views of the cathedral and the entrance to the ground, through the complex which includes the Premier Inn, is rather classy. The beer selection wasn't what I'm used to at the Oval, but there are some really good pubs 400 yards away, once you walk back over the Severn bridge. I hope to come back in a future season.

New to the area and my first visit to this ground. I have been to many cricket grounds in the past and I have to say this is probably the most picturesque. From entering the ground to leaving everyone is so pleasant with fantastic views of the game. Great choice of food and drink and even the toilets aren't that bad. Well worth a visit especially for the T20 games as extremely good value for money.

The day started off with a belief by a member of staff that we didn't belong in the Hospitality Suite. Look at the ticket not my face!! Considering the game started at 11.00, we didn't get anything to eat until 15.30 around the time of second half starting. So quite embarrassingly, everyone sat in silence waiting. There is no covering on the hospitality pavilion, so it's blazing sun all day. Lesson learnt, don't forget the umbrella in the car. The gift shop is great; I bought a good quality Worcester CC scarf for £40. Next to the Shop is a cafe. This looked cosy and had a nice atmosphere. We parked in the shopping mall car park. £1.00 for the whole day.. yes! One pound. Couldn't believe it myself. Whosoever that DJ was for the bill board/scores, you knocked out some great tunes.

A good day out. We visited for day 1 of a County Championship game. The ground is easily accessible from the town centre (we came by train and had a 15min walk). Entry was good value. Some of the seating is showing its age but good views abound. Catering was perfectly adequate and the bar, whilst not cheap, also had a reasonable choice. Next time I hope we'll get better weather but the club can hardly be blamed for that!

I've taken my son to Cheeky Monkeys since he was 8 months old. There is a specific area for babies (small but perfectly suitable) and a sensory room. I've always found it to be clean. All the staff and the owner are fantastic and have always tried their best to get us in even when the website says it's fully booked. The cafe prices are reasonable compared to other soft plays. They also invite third party professionals in to provide educational sessions too on an ad hoc basis like first aid for children (free of charge if you are at a soft play session). There is limited parking and the spaces are generous (much needed with young children but a lot of places overlook this) plus on the road parking close. Highly recommended.

So I usually come here every week. My toddler is 2.5 now and has been coming since a baby. Never had anything bad to say and we enjoy or time every time we come. So I've recently had a another baby and a few weeks ago I booked online for my toddler. I turned up with my 2 children and the staff who booked us in noticed I had A 3 WEEK OLD NEWBORN. Before entering they told me I had to pay for the baby. I paid as its only £3 and I didn't want to cause a fuss BUT this isn't the point. I just feel like it was a bit unfair as what is a newborn going to use? She couldn't even open her eyes properly. Other than that cheeky monkeys is great and I will continue going there but when I get my moneys worth with My baby :)

General attitude of owners response in these reviews is so poor, I rarely leave a negative review but honestly the treatment we received was so rude and inconsistent. I feel if you have rules in place then at least ensure all staff abide by these as well as guests because having one member of staff say something is okay to then have another publicly shame a child as if for a cruel power trip was very upsetting to whitness. I also feel the height restriction is unfair for younger children who happen to be taller than their peers, it's obviously not a safety restriction as adults are allowed to accompany children throughout the soft play, to just have the age restriction would suffice surely.

A free museum in Worcester that would be easily forgotten about. It's managed by the University and is currently only one room but is packed with interesting artefacts from medical history from nursing, to anaesthetics, and from anatomy to former mental asylums.

A lovely find this morning on the Northwick Heritage Trail. A lovely stop off point with galleries to look around too. Indoor and outdoor seating with some pods for wetter weather. What a wonderful place to visit. A warm welcome, a beautiful range of original artwork to browse and appreciate. I will be returning to purchase a few pieces in the future. Mum with an indulgent filling of brie and pickle, myself an abundance of tasty roasted beef and at such a reasonable price. Mum commented on what a great cup of tea, the best she had tasted when out and about. High praise indeed. We especially like the green ethos being followed. Compostable and recyclable plates, cups etc. That customers are asked to be involved in keeping this lovely little cafe viable by clearing and cleaning tables after use. A modestly larger than life statue of one of the country's foremost composers, located in a prominent position on the city square, facing Worcester Cathedral, with which he had long and close connections. There is a brass plaque in the pavement in front of the statue, detailing his career and local connections. Inside the cathedral, there is a memorial window to him, based on scenes in The Dream of Gerontius, one of his most famous works.
