Very unusual church built out of mostly concrete and glass. If it is a sunny day, the stained glass makes a beautiful job of colouring the concrete pillars. Fairly quiet when we visited on a Monday afternoon after lunch. Recommended as there cannot be too many churches that look like this!

A truly stunning building. From the outside it doesn't give away just how beautiful the glass is when you're inside. Well worth the walk a few minutes from the centre to view. There were also some interesting boards inside on the history of the area and building.

One of a kind. Really wanted to climb the spiral staircase that goes up the cylindrical dome with stained glasses all around that makes it look like an alien space shuttle. However, the gates were closed. I'm not sure if it's allowed to climb those stairs.

This is probably the most famous thing to see in Le Havre. It is a beautiful church with a very cool tower with stained glass all throughout it. We saw on the Internet that people climbed to the top of the tower. When we visited (on a Monday) the steps to the tower were locked. And there were actually no employees to ask. There was no fee to enter. The doors were just open.

Lovely modern church based around a central altar which in turn sits beneath a tall tower covered in stained glass windows. The four sides of the tower primarily feature four different colours. The result is beautiful coloured light effects which change as the sun moves across the sky during the day.

Visiting this church was one of the greatest and most meaningful experiences of my life. The building is simply stunning - impossible to adequately capture in words. I lit a candle for my departed daughter. 10 years on but never forgotten.

It was a quiet, sunny Thursday. I decided to catch a train and wander around Le Havre. This church caught my sight in the first place, and it was an honour to visit here. The rays light up the small glass window, which creates a breathtaking picture. I felt like I had entered another world that did not belong to this present—must-visit place, when you come to Le Havre.

Impressive, must see. Photos don't do it justice. There's also an interesting exhibition with historical photographs of Le Havre.

Extremely unassuming from the outside; the building looks quite austere and unwelcoming. But, as they say, never judge a book by its cover. Inside, this modern art facility is fabulous, with an extremely varied mix of art representing several genres and eras across generations (and, indeed, centuries). From Manet to, indeed, Monet, French artists are expectedly well represented here, but there are plenty of other pieces on display from a myriad of artists to appreciate too. If a particular style isn't to your taking, you can be guarantee that around the next corner that there will feature something completely in contrast to what you just observed; if you cannot find anything to appreciate in the gallery, then perhaps art isn't for you! It's an extremely polished but relaxing atmosphere; the perfect location to stroke your chin and pretend to understand the paintings you're looking at. I mean, I don't need to pretend, as I know exactly what each and every painting represents; I am merely referring to the riff raff who bundle off of nearby cruise ships and go into the nearest venue for something to do. The fact I was on a cruise and would have never have otherwise visited this art gallery is purely coincidental! In all seriousness though, a brilliant gallery with a good number of staff and invigilators on hand to help. Very reasonable entry price too. I never used the café as it was too busy, but from a pure art and culture standpoint, fully recommend.

An impressive collection of impressionist paintings which makes a part of Normandy’s impressionist collections. You can visit the museum and the temporary exposition in about one hour and a half.

A couple of months ago I went to most of the headline museums in Paris, but this is the best art museum I have visited in France this year. The core collection is made up of a lot of sketches and a few fully worked up paintings by local impressionist artist Eugene Boudin. There is a whole wall of sketches from along the nearby coast, plus another of really charming cow pictures. Alongside this is a collection of more and less well known late 19th and early 20th century names (including Renoir and Pissaro), but I thought many of the highlights were by artists I didn't recognise. There is one fabulous example of pointilism plus two genuinely magnificent busts of a man and woman from Sudan.

Lovely gallery although I am not sure what the definition of “modern” art is! Permanent collection was very nice to see although some pieces were 300 years old! A nice couple of hours spent wandering around.

This place is extremely gorgeous! We loved being here.. perfect for picnics, walks and the likes. The garden houses themselves were closed, so was the cafe, but everything was beautiful. The garden houses open up this month so will be a little more busy but it's worth at least one visit.

The greenhouses, which can be visited for 2€, are truly exceptional, as are the outdoor gardens, particularly the rose garden! The tea room is lovely. I highly recommend this visit.

A great place to hike up to from the city centre. When you’re on a cruise make the effort to get a great bit of exercise on this approx 1.2mile walk uphill to gain some lovely views.

Great place for a walk even if you are not pasionare about flowers. Parking was free and the price for visiting the greenhouse was 2 euros (free for children under 12). The greenhouses were fun to see, and the whole park was beautiful. There is a cafee where you can get something to drink / eat. Defenetly something worth doing in Le Havre.

From the cruise ship. Took shuttle to city square (first stop). Then take bus 5 to the gardens (if you take bus 4 it's a long walk up the hill at the last stop). Gardens is free to enter, and 2 euro to do the green houses. Worth it. Nice place to appreciate nature. You can do the entire garden in under 2 hours.

Lovely and peaceful gardens. Lots of benches to sit on to reflect and relax... probably even better in the spring and summer when the flowers are in bloom. Don't miss the Labyrinth!

We are delighted with the territory and the sea view. There are goats and sheep on the property.

If you are not fluent in French do not waste your time. We were interested in at least getting to know the apartment built by the architect Perret. We arrived at the counter in the morning and the attendant told us that there was only time for the end of the day. We returned, bought our tickets with the same attendant and entered with a group accompanied by the guide who told us that the tour would be only in French. That's fine with us, since we wanted to see the apartment. But the guide told us that the tour would last about an hour. We found it odd to spend an hour visiting an apartment, but when she stopped in the courtyard to explain the whole story, we were embarrassed to understand and see nothing. Alright the tour was in French, after all, we were in France. The problem was the attendant knew that we did not speak the language and sell us the ticket anyway. We gave up the ride after ten minutes of history on the patio, we went to the attendent, who admitted his fault, but told us that he could do anything, not even refunded the ticket we had just bought.

An enjoyable dockside museum with a focus on Le Havre art and history. Not too big although there are alot of stairs so people with mobility issues may have some difficulty. I was lucky enough to stumble into this gem and loved my experience there. My only major problem was, as someone who does not speak French, I was unfortunate enough to arrive on a day where the guide did not speak English. However, they had tablets that they passed out that were written in English so you could follow along with the group and get an idea of what was going on. Reasonably priced, not too long, informative, and a great place to visit if you have time to kill and curiosity to satisfy.

Nice little museum that can be visited in 1hr. Easily accessible by walking from the beach tram station or city hall. Worth a visit. Tells plenty of history about the individual life of a rich sailboat owner from the 18th century. No elevator in the museum, lot of stairs.

Great church to see the effects of WWII. The pictures inside and the cathedral now show what a determined congregation can do to overcome adversity. The crucifix on display with shrapnel damage is moving. While the majority of the church were destroyed, the façade was left and rebuilt around. It may not be the most fancy church in France or Le Havre, but the crucifix is worth stopping to see.

This beach has evolved nicely over the years, there seems to be something new to see / experience every year. It's so close to the town centre, there are many cafe's, restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Along the strip there are many eateries, all catering typically French meals or desserts at a reasonably price. There are play areas, a open air pool, skate park and small amusements to entertain the kids. For the most part, it is a pebble beach, however there is a small sandy section toward the end of the strip. The beach comes alive during the summer, atmosphere is vibrant in the evening. Recommended to visit if passing through Me Havre.

The beaches of Le Havre stretch along the city's western part, right by the center. There's a huge free parking lot along it. I found it a very pleasant place to walk, have a drink and take some photos, but I doubt I'd swim there even in peak summer season. The beach is of huge pebbles, difficult to walk on, I saw no sand by the sea.

Beautiful. We stayed just outside Le Havre, using it as a base to travel around Western Normandy (Etretat, Mont Saint Michel, etc.). We decided to have a look at what the Le Havre beach had to offer and were extremely and pleasantly surprised. Part of the width of the beach is rocky, which gives it a beautiful look, but once passing the rocks there is a massive sandy area and a seemingly calm ocean. A really nice spot to end the day and watch the sunset.

We had an amazing sunset on the clean and special beach. Just as all of Le Havre, this beach is special as well. There's lots of places to eat but you could just stroll along the waterfront or on the passenger only boulevard as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Pleasantly surprised with Le Havre including beach. Whilst it's very pebbly (bring suitable footwear) there are areas for young children to play in sandpits along with water fountains, parks and an outdoor swimming pool which was very affordable. Lovely little restaurants and cafes.

Very beautiful, historical building/warehouse that has been turned into a shopping center. There are many clothing retailers, places for food and coffee, and a place for the kids to play while mom gets to shop!

A cute museum for a rainy day. Good option for families with little kids. All in French but they give you a booklet with the English version.

While staffed with very kind and helpful personnel, and in possession of interesting holdings, this is a very small museum. So tiny, in fact, that, as I understand it, instead of reserving part of their premises for their fixed collection and setting aside another for temporary exhibits, the museum only works on rotating temporary exhibits (personally, I think their two-story circular room could've been reserved for a small permanent exhibit). When planning your visit, it's therefore important to check what's currently on display, so that you don't get disappointed by a lack of that which you came there for (as we were). Moreover, the museum doesn't seem to strictly restrict itself of items of natural historical interest, encompassing, for example, many more historical documents and paintings as well as ethnographic artefacts then biological, geological or palaeontological specimens in their Australian exhibit - which was what turned out to be on display when we visited. This is a pity, as while we were expecting a museum of natural history (in which the region, moreover, is so rich), we actually ended up visiting a historical museum that not only described the (history of the) description of Australia's plant and animal life, but also the discovery of Australia itself. The only redeeming part of the exhibit, as far as our four-year-old son was concerned, was a single room which contained some basic educational activities for children - such as fishing fish from the sea in a model boat, pinpointing places on a world map, and completing the outline of Australia. All in all, we did spend some time here, but I think neither me nor my son were too enthusiastic about the experience - and this while from the website it seems the museum has a lot more to offer than we got to experience.

I just visited this Museum. There is good collection of Fossils, Meteorites and some instinct insects. There are monitors to enjoy things visually and the people are so friendly and helpful.

Kind of small museum but there are sometimes some exhibitions like the one we saw which were about bees and those are more engaging. Unfortunately, the museum is only in french( somebody commented that there might be some booklets in english but we didn’t know/think to ask for them). It might help to add english next to the photos. Either way, this museum is especially entertaining for children because it offers many engaging and learning activities for them.

It’s a very value for money place. They have everything inside from food to gym to spa & treatment. The location is also very good, just in front of the bridge of la havre which looks like extremely beautiful and specially during night (if you have window facing the bridge). The brasserie also is good, with a nice view to the bridge. And having casino at this price is also good. It’s not very far from the gare also (15 min by walk). Tram connects well to la plage also (tram stop just 5 mins walk from hotel). The staff were also friendly. The only improvement feedback is that they should focus on customer intimacy and services.. It’s really clean in general but it’s not a extremely new property so you can see the difference.
