One of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland, not so far from Como. I visited it in summer and winter and it was beautiful in both seasons.

Amazing place, romantic, quite, smell of nature, and much much more. I visited lake lugano from como. It was one full day trip to como and lugano. In my opinion, each city needs couple of days and maybe more. The center of the city is bigger than como. People are friendly. The only thing that you need to have swiss Franc with you, since thier exchange rate is not fared. Also, you may suffer from mobile data service since they are not part of EU. As a conclusion, i will visited again and again

It’s a beautiful serene lake in Switzerland. It is on the border of Italy & Switzerland. Took a train ride from Milan to Lugano. Highly recommend boat rides here to enjoy it fullest. I have visited on the weekdays to avoid large crowds. We tried paddle boat from “Rezzonico Boat”. Their staff was very cooperative and also provided Life jackets for Boating. Their prices are affordable too.

It’s a amazing place to visit either taking a stroll or doing a water sport such as SUP, swimming or even a boat trip.

Such a serene and beautiful place! The lake Lugano and the city is so calm and peaceful, relaxing. We got here on a weekend and of course most places were closed being in Switzerland. But they did have a few coffee shops, chocolate shops and eateries open. The walk along the shopping streets and up to the cathedral. The get the view from up top from here of the whole city and the lake, spectacular! A walk along the lake front is a must, you will find it so calming and picturesque!

Amazing place, situated between Lake Como in Italy and Lago Maggiore, and the border between southern Switzerland and northern Italy. It is romantic, quiet, with the crisp smell of nature, a nice walk or just to stroll along the lake into the city centre. People are friendly, no harm in saying hi to strangers as you stroll along.

One of the most beautiful lakes I’ve seen in Europe offering a mixture of staggering views. Dancing at the tune of the cool breeze, the tulips are painted on a canvas of the blue lake and mountains covered in dense trees. There’re cozy cafes around offering delicious cakes, delicacies and coffee. You can also shop for good brands around the place. We parked in a parking plaza with average prices. Highly recommended place!

We loved the park; clean with amazing nature and greenery. The city is nice as well, but too expensive for tourists. I would recommend staying and spending in Como and only visiting Lugano unless you can afford it for sure. Also, Como is more socialized and has more interactions with the people there; if you like privacy and quiet, then Lugano is your place.

Peaceful place where you can find the fantastic natural sightseeing just in front of the lugano lake and San Salvatore mountain. You can spend time enjoying the view specially if you were lucky and the weather allows. Mostly you would be there for a couple of hours just before you realize that time flew and you have been there for hours. Actually, ai enjoyed the view for about 3 hours then continued my tour to the mountain where I began hiking and enjoying the view from above. The San Salvatore museum top is the roof of Lugano.

Parc Ciana is a beautiful park by the lake. Serene and tranquil. You can have greenery views of the park as well as breathtaking views of lake.

So peaceful park, I visited Lugano with a tour from Milan and I had chance to visit this park. Very good job from the people who is taking care of plants, flowers and keeping place clean.

Great place for a dip and a stroll. Lots of interesting art in the park and a great sandy beach. Be sure to visit the Marina for a cocktail in the afternoon.

Gorgeous park on the lake a short walk from Lugano Central and not too far to walk from Paradiso. Great play area for kids, lots of grad to run in and shadow water to play in on the creek side or deeper water at the swim areas.

Lovely park to enjoy the day with family. Lovely lake beach, crossing the river is fun. Stunning views of the lake, the mountains and the city. Sunset gives an amazing view. Kids park is very nice. Ice cream shop have good variety of flavours and is really good, must try it out.

Parco Ciani is located by the lake, very close to the casino. We visited the park right after Christmas for a night walk and we felt as we were in a fairytale. Christmas lights in the trees and through the paves show the road and make it easier to stroll around in the park during the night. It was very romantic and what impressed us is the clean and very well maintained nature!

Just beautiful! Amazingly quiet above the city of Lugano. Easily accessible by funicular with variable opportunities to enjoy the view on all sides of the mountain top. A children’s treasure hike with perfect signing. Only accessible on foot, but motivating for children to walk and enjoy while learning facts about the surrounding nature. Great place to witness the sunset even on a misty winter day.

Hiked this from the base at Lake Lugano. Took 1hr 40min to get to the summit. I wanted to get there for Sunrise and I think I hit it quite lucky. I set of at 5:30am, with sunrise scheduled at 7am. The first hour or so is urban roads and is reasonably well lit, but there are areas without a footpath, so definitely being a torch or something reflective to keep you safe on the road. After the first hour, you lose the footpaths and the streetlights, but by this point there was just enough brightness in the sky for me to see my way. The last part is definitely the hardest as it is woodland. It is easy to navigate following the white and red flags on the trees as seen in my picture, but it's a tough climb, especially when slippy from last night rain, and I had to get my hands dirty to help me up, but it was so worth it. The views were incredible, and the cold March air soon began to cool me down. Definitely allow yourself more time to come down, and I was lucky enough to find a big stick that gave me some support to get down some of the steeper and slippery parts, I'd suggest to find a suitable one on your way up and leave it somewhere to help get down if you think you may need it. The funicular was not operating, so there was no easy way out of it. It took me a full 2 hours to get down as the fatigue in my ankles and blisters were soon setting in so I took it easy. All in all, 22k steps and nothing too challenging, beautiful views the whole way back down. I highly recommend as a fan of walking and hiking, and if not take the funicular when it is in service to take in the view.

The view is wonderful🤩 I climbed about 1 hour to arrive to this place but I suggest you to climb because it was not much hard and also the route was beautiful so it’s worth it to try. There is an amazing view when you arrive on top. There is the view of the mountain and the lake which is amazing and stunning. 🤩🏔 I went last weekend when the weather was sunny but the mountains were covered with the snow ❄️ There is also a restaurant and a bar on top that you can have something there if you want. Totally I think it’s worth it to visit this place.☺️

The best place to visit in Lugano, really beautiful, however, keep in mind that despite being able to walk up, it can take about two hours, and going up and down by cable car is expensive (around 40 CHF). However, up there it is spectacular, it has a restaurant, a museum, several trails, a church and an exceptional view.

Monte San Salvatore offers a must-see experience for nature lovers. Whether you take the funicular or hike up, the view from the top is simply breathtaking, showcasing Lake Lugano and its surroundings. It's a photographer's dream and a peaceful spot to unwind. Hikers will also enjoy the well-marked trails. For a memorable escape into Swiss beauty, Monte San Salvatore won't disappoint.

Must visit when in Lugano. The ride and the view at the top are amazing. You should leave a few hours to do a hike and catch another train down, but I was in a rush and had to head down from the same station. Don’t miss the little church up there. You can take the stairs to the very top and get a 360 view of the entire city.

This is the second view that you should visit if you happen going to Monte Brè, for me it is also the better panoramic spot despite that the second one next to the restaurant opens up better views over Lugano itself. This one here though is more innate, greener and beautiful! You have to take an appoximately 10-minute stroll from the church downhill through the woods and you will end up here.

(+) Awesome views overlooking Lugano. (+) Fun funicular ride (not too expensive, 25 CHF pp both ways without half fare card). (+) Great Walking/ hiking/ biking trails. (-) The panoramic restaurant was not opened last weekend (9 January 2021), perhaps it's their opening schedule during winter time. (-) The osteria (bar/ cafe) up there was only offering limited drinks and also limited snacks (fries and sausages). perhaps it is different during summer time (will have to visit again for sure) (-) It would've been great if the funicular had panoramic windows (from the front) so that passengers can see the lovely views going up/ down. *** Most certainly would like to visit again, perhaps during summer time and take my time to walk down to near by small cute cities.

Loved it, a very nice view of Lugano. Definitely a place to visit as a tourist.

To reach the top, you can either go by foot or by taking two timeless funiculars that come every 15 minutes. Once you're at the top, there is a cafe and restaurant provided for a quick rest and to enjoy the view in all tranquility. In order to not have bad surprises, I would recommend to check in advance the restaurant's opening hours and whether they're hosting a private event or not. The view is stunning although there are no summit from where to enjoy it (a part from the restaurant). Apart for the view there are not much to see or do here so the tour should last for max 1 hour. I recommend to go with family. Summer and Fall are the best seasons to go in order to appreciate the breathtaking colors and textures offered by the landscape.

Beautiful, majestic views from the top. It's easy to get to via the Funincular as they run every 15 minutes and are a straightforward process. Once you arrive at the top, the views are just incredible. The only issue I would say is there is not that much else to do once you arrive at the top. There are a couple of restaurants but not much else. Also there is only one real place to get a clear good view from. Regardless, it's a beautiful view and there is plenty of potential there to make something special. Would recommend going if you are in the area.

Absolutely a must if in Lugano. Some breathtaking views easily accessible, easy walking for all age groups, pet friendly, lots of picnic spots with even bbq area, large clean trash cans and even mountain water. But otherwise, a few great options of restaurants with a view (opening hours varies by season, weather and online info)!

Amazing experience! Magnificent view! This mountain and the hike down is a must for anyone visiting lugano, the breathtaking panoramas from all surrounding mountains is just something out'a this world! Go check it out!

Absolutely spectacular. We went by car, using the winding streets up the hill, already an adventure itself. (You can use the cable car, too.) In Brè, there's a big paid parking. From there, you can reach the summit as well as the viewpoints by walk (approximately 20 min). The view is breathtaking. Make sure to check out Brè itself, as well. A charming little historic village with narrow cobblestone alleys and picturesque buildings. On the way back to Lugano you can make a little D-tour and check out Gandrigna, another charming village just below Monte Brè at the lakeshore. Check out my other review about that!

I give this casino 0 stars. Not even deserve 1! Worse ever casino I've visited. I just visit Lugano for 3 days and i lost over 1000 euros within 2 hours of playing. 0.0

Nice casino but a bit of high stakes in my opinion

Wow! Hands down the best service I have ever gotten at a casino. Gorgeous casino with a wide selection of slots and table games. Upon entering I was immediately offered drinks, and even dinner with just a couple hundred wagered. The pit bosses were very kind and helpful as were the dealers. Additionally they had the best blackjack rules of any EU casino I have been too. 10/10 would recommend.

Usually no poker tables available, but free drinks might be offered when you leave some money at the other gambling tables.

Went with my girlfriend on Swiss National Day and won a 10 Fr promotion drawing after entering. Was told it is already on my card even though I never gave them it??? When we inquired about it after checking they were asking us about a 3rd card that we should have received at the door (before I even won?) We watched someone else win and receive a card immediately with the credit at the promotion table and it became clear that they chose not to offer me the credit. After some confusion and nonsense questioning the manager just threw his hands up and said idk. We ended up leaving. Truly bizarre as I've never experienced a casino act this way and not honor their own promotion and of such little value? The venue is mostly slots and the card games had little attendance.

Nice casino with super helpful staff. I played slots which there were a bunch of different ones to try. Nice that you could play and get paid back in euro or franc. Would totally visit again.

It's definitely one of the best casinos I have visited. The atmosphere is very nice, the slot machines are all clean, atleast the ones I used and seen, they also give out drinks but that's normal in a casino especially when we are literally giving out money for free. They also keep your stuff in a storage of their own if you so desire. There is also a restaurant inside with amazing food, it's well worth a visit. The system to take out the money is also very simple.

NO POKER, Location ok. Staff ok, vale-parking. Lots of slots (which i don't play) But very sad that casino advertise: poker cash games everyday. Went to make sure during daytime, "yes we have game at evening" so I came again twice on evening and no game.. "it's very rare we have poker, last time we had game 2 month ago"

Fun experience to explore it once, but as it is a casino, just bear in mind to only take as much as you’re willing to play on! If you wear any caps you have to be ready to turn it the other side (security reason)!

Fabulous place. Great pools, great food, and facilities felt very safe due to number of lifeguards. You will need 2 Swiss Francs for a locker though!

The administration should prohibit games with balls in the common area. All the time people are hit by people playing “soccer”, “paddle balls” and even American football!!! Balls should be used in the safety of peoples homes ;) For example, this guy wearing pink shorts just kicked on a purpose a ball towards a woman that was peacefully tanning!!!

Me and my partner stayed in Italy and came here with our baby for the day. €46 round trip for two on the train €20euro entry and €5 for a brolly was my favourite day of our holiday. Facilities are fantastic, beech is lovely, swimming area is bit small but still a decent enough to paddle and play. Food was bit over priced, but drinks were reasonable much. Well worth the visit

Amazing place to hang out for a day with family! It consists of 3 large swimming pools... One Olympic size, one diving and one kids pool 1.25 m across and a kids water park area. It also has a beach along side the lake... All in all, amazing maintenance by the city council... Keep it up LVGA!

You can swim in the lake or in a swimming pool. Beautiful view, great weather. The restaurant part was not so great. The sandwiches and hamburgers were dry and old.

Nice getaway from the city and in many cases closer than the sea beaches. Multiple pools and a sand beach. Add to that ping pong tables, tennis, beach volleyball, etc.

I had an unforgettable experiance with the best guys in Ticino! It was my best gift ever 🤩 I wish that half an hour had never ended 🪂 Everything went smooth, and the pilot was really friendly and I felt really comfortable during the whole flight. Highly recommend them for everyone!

Despite not being the biggest fan of heights, I had an amazing flight! Booking online was easy with clear instructions. There's a ~15 minute introduction before the jump where they explain relevant details to know pre- and during the flight. Bonus points for a great conversation while flying over Rivera! :) I will definitely consider booking the flight again with Stefano and FlyTicino!

I have used several tandem paragliding companies in various areas of Switzerland. FlyTicinio is by far the best. Their landing technique only requires the pilot to land. The other companies require the passenger to assist in the landing. FlyTicino is much better for children and anyone who might have knee or back problems. As an added bonus, all the pilots speak excellent english (this isn’t always the case with other companies in Switzerland).

I had an AMAZING experience with Fred. He was so kind, and made sure that my ride was unforgettable. He made me feel very safe by talking me through each step of the process. Highly highly recommend!!

Contacted Stefano within 4 hours of take off to go paragliding for the first time with my brother and I and promptly set us up for the last day of the flying season. My girlfriend and I just did paragliding with FlyTicino today and we LOVED IT! Both of our instructors were extremely experienced, super friendly, and made us feel safe the entire way through. The experience was unique and definitely something we’d recommend. It’s much calmer in the skies than you’d think — seriously feels like flying! Really fun flying into updrafts of hot air that would carry us higher up. So calm up there. PERFECT weather conditions so we were lucky. 5 stars. 10/10. :)

I never flew with paragliding before and decided to give it a try. This was a great decision as it turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences ever! Federico, my flight guide, was very professional and reassuring and the whole flight seemed very safe and totally enjoyable. Views are spectacular: flying over mountains, trees and lake was great and should you decide to be a little more adventurous, he will also propose you some special manoeuvring which will add even more excitement and thrill to the flight. Absolutely recommended!

These guys were amazing! I went with my 10 year old son who was very scared at first. They made him feel comfortable and safe. It really was an incredible experience from start to finish. Professionalism at its best. I will be back and I will bring everyone I know for this incredible experience of a lifetime.

I flew with Fred, aka Fredricko. He’s simply amazing. He understands what the customer needs and acts accordingly. He’s the best. He takes exceptional photos & videos and also allows you to control the chute for a while which includes left and right turns. And ends with an awesome smooth landing. My wife went with Stefano and she fells the same. These guys are real pros.

My daughter and I decided “last minute” to partake in the paragliding experience with FlyTicino. Stephano was fantastic to deal with. He was able to fit us in. Communication was excellent. Elio was my guide and he was so professional and very skilled! He reassured me of the safety several times throughout the orientation that when it came time to jump I felt completely safe! The place was both vibrant and well-maintained, with gleaming surfaces throughout. Additionally, a balcony overlooked the area, providing an excellent view of the cathedral, which could be seen from any part of the town. In my opinion, it was one of the finest churches I have ever had the opportunity to visit.

The Cattedrale San Lorenzo de Lugano is a beautiful building with impactful paintings and decorations. The original construction dates back to the 15th century with many additions and remodelling work done over the years. A visit to Lugano would not be complete without visiting this impressive cathedral.

A picturesque cathedral situated among breathtaking views. Inside there are always some tourists so there is no chance to pray in a complete silence.

Amazing trekking trail. One side is Lake lugano, another side are pitureques natures like mountain and trees. After reach check point number 6 or 7, you reach a beautiful Itilian village vibes with medivan styles and lots of restaurant. This is absolutely my most favorite hidden gems in Switzerland

Very enjoyable afternoon stroll. Make sure you wear sensible shoes as parts can be a bit muddy. There are plenty of restaurants so you could make a long afternoon of it. Highly recommend.

Great trail through the country side along lake Lugano. Keep an eye out for the trail signs as I wandered off piste a couple of times. Only takes an 1hr and 20mins, so well worth a try. I'd recommend if you time it right with the ferry, walking from Lugano out to Gardina as there are a couple cafes at the end where you can enjoy a snack and a drink

Nice walk from Castagnola to Gandria, passing some very scenic points. Some of the walk is very covered but there are also some great photo ops and rest points with a view. Recommended to start in Gandria then walk towards Castagnola for ease of public transport back to Lugano. Takes about 25mins without stops.

Wonderful trail along the lake with olive trees, palm trees, and breathtaking views. If you continue to Gandria, you'll find bars and restaurants in this small village overlooking the lake.

Pleasant and easy hike between Gandria and Castagnola. Parts of the trail are exposed while other parts are in the shade. I would avoid doing this during the hottest part of the day unless you are used to hiking in high temperatures. If you start in Gandria, you just walk to the end of the town from the ferry pier and there are clear signs that direct you to the trail. About halfway there is an area with a hotel, restaurant and public bathroom.

Beautiful path with stunning views on lake Ceresio, Lugano and surrounding mountains.It connects the lovely village of Gandria with Lugano. Easy walk of less than 40 minutes of good path easy to go also with children and buggies. On the way Thera are a couple of restaurants and a beach with pay entrance. Only difficult part is the last bit before Gandria with steep steps.

An outstanding church! Very unique and distinct from almost many others os similar ones, especially the really living paintings almost everywhere inside the church, from outside although very nice but you may underestimate the beauty of inside! Highly recommended for the fans of arts and spirituality as long as the church ones.

Great place with great vibes. One of the best in Lugano

Magnificent place, so quiet and peaceful. It seems so remote, even though it is a few minutes away from Lugano City. Very welcoming staff enabling a relaxing atmosphere. The food is simple but fresh and tasty, fully in sync with the place. We have not tried the beach as it was still a little chill, hopefully another time!

Great place to swim, sunbathe and relax. .Great amenities available.

The good place to chill, to have drinks and to try pizza. Music, staff - everything we liked. Only one small obstacle- not easy to find a parking for the car.

Very laid-back, clean and peaceful Lido. The entrance ist 6 CHF and you can use deck chairs for free (sun beds are 5 CHF/day). They have a great variety of food and beverages (snacks, ice cream, beer, lemonade) and very friendly staff. Changing facilities, showers and toilets available. Found this place when searching for a lido in Lugano that was more secluded and less family orientated and was not disappointed. Has a bar with sandwiches/light meal options- including a veggie/vegan option!- and ice creams, small seating area for this, changing rooms and showers, soft seating like hammocks and a lawn with chairs and umbrellas. As the lido is on a steep side, you can either jump in off the board or use the ladder but there is no shore and you have to commit to getting in! There was also a raft to swim out to. Really enjoyed our visit here. They take cash or card also

There’s the possibility to swim and get tanned in the sun, play board games, read comics. I could have stayed there the whole afternoon. Terrific museum. The Paul Klee exhibition was excellent and an English commentary was very helpful. The Ticino area was varied and interesting and the Marcel Broodhaers in the basement was a lightweight and enjoyable finish to the visit.

Beautiful architecture, amazing collection at the museum store. Sad to have missed the surrealism exhibition earlier this year. Staff were friendly, especially Robert who took time to chat :) Free Wi-fi for guests! Museum indoor cafe was closed sadly, but tables were great for working, nice open areas.
