This living proof of Roman ingenuity will take your breath away. Hard to believe it's stood for nearly two millennia. Stones meticulously placed without mortar held by gravity. Incredible. Make plans to grab lunch or a drink at one of the nearby cafes with this monument in full view.

This Castle is IMPRESSIVE! Totally worth the visit 💯. The views from the top are amazing specially the natural scenery around it. This medieval castle was the real inspiration for Disney World Castle, if you notice. All the rooms inside are beautifully layout and decorated, the armor and weapons replicas and objects and things from that time are so real that you can easily imagine life in these times. Pay attention to all the details and work on the walls and ceilings on each room, really gorgeous! And the town of Segovia is one of my favorites, such a cute and vibrant town, love it 💗💟💗

Absolutely amazing cathedral. I've seen a lot of them and this was impressive. One of the largest in Spain. All of the side rooms with the ornate statutes and places to pray, the center areas where they keep the valuables and lead worship, and the old original section that did not get destroyed hundreds of years ago.. all is fantastic. The organs were really impressive.

Cathedral was closed when we visited, around 6 pm. Many restaurants around that place unfortunately Spanish habits of having dinner after 9 pm did not allow us to eat there as we were tired and dine usually around 7 pm

The place is well located relative to the Cathedral but far enough away from Plaza Mayor to make it quiet. Major complaint is it is at the bottom of a hill. Super easy to find. It is also mostly stroller/wheelchair accessible in terms of the entrance; everything is located on the ground floor with a ramp into the building. (Shower is not wheel chair accessible. Room is stroller accessible.) The room was tidy and clean. The price was pretty good, especially considering almost everything else was like €60+ more for a single night. The shower worked well. Enough toilet paper to not worry. They had a SmartTV/Amazon fire stick which was great if you have a kid who wants to watch things like Cocomelon. They had a fridge you could store medication in if you asked. They had shampoo (1 star hotel). They were super easy to communicate with. They had lockers, so if you wanted to show up early, drop a bag or check out, leave your bag and then return because of a later train, super feasible. There were great views out the window. I don't think there is AC but the heat works and there is a fan to improve airflow and cool things down. They have a pull out couch or pull out chair set up so you can sleep a kid. (You can't fit three adults in here, max two adults plus a kid.) On the toddler front, this place isn't catering to babies and toddlers. It is feasible if you're bed sharing. Practically speaking, you have to watch toddlers who can open door handles as they can escape out the door. The window was a set of double doors, which had the mental fence thing. I had fears toddler might be able to get out the side so I kept the door closed. But that's pretty much it. And that's a my selection issue, not a them issue. Not my favorite hotel in Segovia but if looking to do a cheap overnight or two to get away from Madrid, it is a really nice option to have and use. If I was looking for budget accomodation in the city again, i would use them happily.

Magnificent austere church located on the way out of Segovia along the road leading to Zamarala. Attributed to the Templars it has a round nave and a spartan altar with just a crucified Jesus. There is a modest fee to visit.

“Great historical property, wonderfully accessible by car with secure parking area and close to town center” This hotel was PERFECT for someone driving into town with a rental car. The secure parking was lovely and there were covered annd uncovered options. The hotel is on the edge of the historical part of Segovia, and situated right at the top/beginning of the ancient Roman aqueduct which is less than one block away. This location meant that we could get there by car without venturing into the super narrow cobblestone streets of the old city but we were right next to all of that. It was about a 12 minute walk downhill to the heart of the shopping and historical district near the main span of the aqueduct. Virtually the entire walk you are walking alongside the 2000 year-old aqueduct and you could feel the history on the walk. The neighborhood felt very safe for myself and my college aged daughter who was on spring break learning about history of Spain. The location was a 25 minute walk to the cathedral and the plaza Mayor. It took us maybe 35 minutes to walk to the Alcazar through the most beautiful, winding scenic historical parts of the city. If we came back to Segovia I would ABSOLUTELY stay at this hotel again! The breakfast was delicious and served buffet style with many options including Jamon Iberico many different bread, options, several different types of coffee, sausages, cheeses, eggs, etc. The rooms were a bit sparse, but that was to be expected from staying in a historical property that used to be a monastery/convent. The center courtyard was lovely with the historic layout of the old monastery, adding to the ambience with columns and arches reminiscent of La Mesquita in Cordoba. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is an elevator for those who do not want to use the stairs. In summary, the location was AMAZING, the easy in/easy out secured parking was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, and the historical nature of the property made it feel special. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for first time visitors who want to experience beautiful, historic Segovia.

It’s not very big but worth at least an hour's visit. The information and commentary that the audioguide provided really help me to better understand the history and Machado’s life. Highly recommended!

It is world #heritage with a long history in #Spain . Built by the Arevaci, an ancient tribe who lived in the Meseta Central, it was conquered by the #Roman Empire in the first century AD and turned into a strategic military base.

Such an interesting place, wonderfully explained with your individual audio guide. In an incomparable green area with a beautiful restaurant just by the river and the King's fresh garden perfectly kept. A must in Segovia. Don't you miss it!!

Beautiful church. We stumbled across this after dinner one evening to find an elegantly illuminated church that appeared historic and memorizing. Wanted to go inside but it appeared they were having a service.
