One of the most impressive churches I have ever been to. The colourful and diverse windows are so beautiful, the church is well renovated and the old is preserved quite well. It has great spirituality and such unique beauty. Would love to have an info stand somewhere to know more about the whole place. I loved how empty it was when we visited.

Great cathedral in the beautiful city Cefalù. On the square un front of the cathedral is a nice cafe with lovely coffee and small sweet and tasty food. There is also a path on the rock behind (takes 20 minutes) with a beautiful view on the cathedral and the city.

Not as mesmarising as Montreale or the palatine chapel in Palermo, but probably the number 3 Norman cathedral in Sicily and Cefalu is so beautiful that if you're here then you should absolutely step inside and be transported back nearly 1000 years. You can also enjoy it from the piazza drinking an Aperol Spritz!

Nice place to visit if you are in Cefalu. This cathedral is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entrance is free, you can have a walk inside the cathedral. Mosaics inside the cathedral are great. There was some restoration in progress at the time we were there but it is still nice to have a look inside. You can pay a few euros to go at the top of one of the tower.

Neat chapel. Not the most ornate in Sicily but still beautiful. Amazing stain glass windows and gorgeous stone arches. The piazza duomo is also neat. We saw it just after Christmas and it was really beautiful. Highly recommend going in the off-season and checking all the lights downtown and in the piazza.

Not very advertised (no signs), we almost passed it while walking the streets, but the tourists there caught my attention. Barely managed to get few pics without people in it, it was crowded on a Saturday lunch time. It seems a water course flows through it, water looked pretty clear. Maybe it would be better with more visible signs and the description of the place or maybe I missed them.

This is a lovely place, it’s well keep, free visit, takes 2 minutes, but it’s interesting to see how the process of laundry happened back on medieval days.

While this cathedral looks fabulous from the outside there wasn't much to see inside as there are renovations taking place. It didn't open until 3.30pm so we had a bit of waiting around. We did get to see the town though. This was beautiful. Well worth the visit.

It is so easy to miss as there are no obvious signs but defiantly a must see if you are visiting Cefalu. The Lavatoio Medievale is a public laundry place. I had a sense it used to be the place for gossips and sharing latest news.

One of the most iconic places in Cefalù. Placed in the historical city center is a must visit place once you are in the area. I visited it in winter time but during hot summer days down here you can find always some fresh air. One of the reason is the river Cefalino that springs here before it ends in the sea.

Really worth a look - you are going to walk past anyway and it is a quick visit.

We visited the Aquapark on a Friday afternoon in July without getting tickets in advance. There was no queue and we got sunbeds and an umbrella. It was not too crowded and the waiting at the slides was not long. The park is not very big but we spent an entertaining afternoon here. Beware that you need a bathing cap (I think this is very common in Sicily) that you can buy at here for 3€.

Superb place and atmosphere pretty crowded in hot season, reasonable prices for half and full day. You will definitely like the varieties of tobbogans and slides! Food and coffees are quite fine too. Ps: the swimming cap is mandatory

Great place, rather small not too expensive but rather for small kids

Good for the price. It’s not a massive waterpark but is good and enjoyable for a day. The waterpark had 5 main slides for adults and a wave swimming pool. There is kids area as well. For lunch there are options of burgers, panini and pasta at good prices. You have to wear a swimming cap at the waterpark which you can rent for €2 which you get back once you return it.

It is good for small kids. For older kids slides you need to wait a little bit longer, but we were there in August.

The staff are very friendly however the park is quite small. The two main slides were not open this day which only left two smaller slides available for bigger kids or adults. Plenty of fun for the younger kids.€4 vouchers were given to pre paid guests due to the main slides being closed but no message sent out beforehand to inform us of the closed slides. Piece of advice, bring your own food if you're staying a while as the stuff here is absolutely horrendous. I wouldn't let my dog eat this tripe and there were eight of us so this isn't just my opinion on the food. One note for the management, the life guards spend most of the time on their phones. The should pay more attention.

This Aqua Park is a real joke. Not cheap and far far too many people allowed in. We were there for 5 hours and only managed to go down 3 slides due to huge queues. Wave machine went on only once during those 5 hours. Unable to eat as massive queues as well- in the queue for 40 minutes and did not move so gave up at the end. Forced to pay for swimming hats. Don’t bother unless you want your day ruined.

Arrive rather soon, as the queues are long then and you are waiting for 20 minutes on sun. On that is no fun for me. The capacity should be limited to avoid these waiting times, I would rather pay more, if the capacity would be lowered.

This is one of those hidden gems that you have to see when visiting Sicily. Almost completely hidden, follow the maps, but so so worth it. Pebble Beach, blue blue water and incredible views.

We were in Cefalù at the end of February. We went for a walk towards the marina and came across this lovely beach. We were completely alone as the beach resorts were not open yet. We had our picnic and enjoyed the view for a while. I don't think I would go during peak season, though! It's very small and rocky.

Beautiful view on the sea from this beach. Lots of shadow places to sit and there are many (not so colorfull) fish in the sea for some snorkling. You have to walk down some steep steps and parking is a bit difficult as there arent many places on the street to park.

The beach itself is lovely. Clear water and interesting rock features, allows for cliff diving as well. The paid part of the public beach is not so. The hotel next door rents out sun loungers on the “public” part of the beach. The management makes it very clear that you are a second rate customer if you are not hotel guest - you still pay 10 euro pp but you get old broken, rickety umbrellas and chairs whilst the hotel guests have the “shiny stuff”. Not cool.

Most beautiful beach ever! So easy to arrive from Cefalù ( Bus C stops in front). The walk down was just 5 minutes and uncrowded! I went early in the morning and at about 1:00 there were more people but still availability! The cafe' is available as well aa the hotel's restaurants! So far this is my favorite beach in Sicily.

worth the hike from Cefalù - follow Via Presidiana around the ocean side of La Rocca down to the marina and then through a very nice neighborhood that overlooks this Rocky outcrop and around to it's far side through the hotel of Kalura and all the way down the steps to the sea for the best views on all sides. Fantastic rocky beach. It was really busy when we went there, but there's plenty of space in the water. Great snorkeling and good opportunities for cliff diving. I've added a picture of where the stairs down to the beach are, but they weren't that hard to find. A beach that is well worth the trek from Cefalù.

Lovely peaceful beach away from the main Cefalu hustle and bustle. Mainly pebbles but still ok to lie on. The bay is sheltered with warmer water than the more open Cefalu beach and the more rugged bay is picturesque. There is a good amount of fish life and if you have it take a snorkel to enjoy the sholes. Well worth the 40 min walk from the Cefalu sea front.

Fantastic situation. Nicely set up. Service OK, desert was prefab. Loos not great. However, all in a seriously beautiful town - one of the best we have visited of this type:- historic, character, quality, shops, restaurants, views, ambience. All in all, a Sicilian gem.

Beautiful beach, fantastic views and the warm water of Cefalu. The downtown area is only a short walk for a snack or lunch.

Amazing view from here, line of old houses, with the mountain behind, and the bassin of calm water in front. This is about 15 mins from the free parking outside the cities, coming from the sea. Very accessible.

When the first I visited Cefalu, I realized even if I will be able to visit every corner around the world, here will always occupy an unforgettable spot in my deep mind.

Literally the worst pizza of my life. Astonishing that in Sicily it’s possible to get such a pathetic pizza. Dry base. No tomato sauce. Just some rocket, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing but not sure what pizza doesn’t have a sauce base…???

Great breakfast spot. Best Croissants I tastet in Sicily and their Coffee is delicious as well. The service was very fast. We had to go back the second day.

We had a lovely light lunch here - sharing pizza, capponata, bruschetta, a nice tagliere of meats and cheeses, salad... everything was very good - freshly prepared and tasty. Prices were good and it had a very pleasant shaded outdoor seating area. Good position - quieter edge of old centre; only a few mins walk from the busier Piazza del Duomo etc.

We stopped in for coffee and juice on the way to the train station, staff seemed ambivalent about us being there 😅 We needed to head to the train so went to the bar to pay but got told sit down by a grumpy lady. Bill was never bought! 😂 prices v expensive - €3.50 for a cappuccino!! Lovely under the vine but the service and prices do not justify it.

If you're walking around Cefalu craving French fries get some here! Clean bathrooms, pleasant staff, comfortable seating inside and outside. They also have great hours for tourists hungry outside of the typical local dining times plus their building is easy to locate because it's at an intersection and prominently marked.

Great food, service and location! We had the porcini pizza, fried sardine salad and mussels. No frills and just what was needed.

Macchiato and croissant were a delicious breakfast. Staff were very welcoming

The "Pasta con Sarde" - Sicily typical pasta, seen as white sauce, in the restaurant publication , is just a "SIMBOLICA" as the manger of the restaurant said , after they served me the swimming pasta in the red tomatoes sauce. The manager of the restaurant didn't want to replace the dish with the original posted dish.

I ordered a Diavola Pizza and after 2 weeks in Italy I finally had the pizza I had been waiting for. Very tasty spicy salami and just the right amount of herbs. My Pizza was great. My dining companions however had mixed results and probably would say their food was average.

Casual inexpensive place for pizza and beer (or sandwichs, ice cream or cappuccino). Good service. More Italians here than tourists. Lots of locals. Clean restrooms. They split our pizza order onto two plates for us.

A really lovely town, well worth the visit for a day. While the public beach is ok for a stroll but not really worth the trip for a beach day...there are many other things to see and do though: the cathedral is a cool lovely edifice. Many of the nearby buildings are similarly beautiful. I love the old crumbling beauty of some facades. Even the shops are nice with many still serving the locals. I loved the shoemaker who fixed my son's shoe for free as we got to talking about his second wife and life in general - great guy and made me feel as if I lived there. Do not miss the old natural baths - see my photos - another place to cool off and marvel at the ingenuity or millennia past.
