It does cost more money to ride any rides once in the amusement park. It wasn’t very busy and no lines on any of the rides. Was great for our 3-year old: bumper cars, gondola ride, merry go round, etc. It’s an ok amusement park, but was a great half day event for us and a change from the many beach days.

Completing the drive you park your car (extra 3 Euros) and enter the normal Zoo. Here, I would point out the Monkey train - caged train which takes you through hundreds of monkeys jumping on it. The rest of the Zoo is quite average and was underwhelming after the Safari drive. Very pleasant friendly staff, lots of space between umbrellas, easy access to the sea via steps/stairs. There are large rubber rings to float on, free of charge. We absolutely loved this place and spent 3 hours slowly strolling around the ruins, the necropolis and the museum which will be officially inaugurated in November. It will include new exhibits currently not available. We did however found that there was plenty to see in the 13 rooms already open. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and a real pleasure to have met. Out of season the section by the sea (acropolis) is not open but this site has plenty to offer without it. There are ongoing excavations being carried out by the archeology department of Bari University and it is estimated that only a small part of the ruin has so far been brought to the surface. We would definitely go back again and see what else has emerged. Thank you for a great experience.

We then couldn’t find the entrance to the ruins as we thought we’d passed them on the way to the museum. The kids seized this error as a means of escape so we only viewed the ruins from the roadside. I believe I would have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience without my kids acting like anchors!
