Very pleasant place for walking if inclined or sitting & relaxing. Easy short train ride from Manchester to Smithy Bridge, bit further from Littleborough. Plenty of parking spots but may have to park away from lakeside itself. Easy road & track all the way around the lake. Kids play area also there. Lots of bird life to see with a hide next to reserve. Pavilion Cafe about half way around seems to have hot & cold snacks & icecreams. Couple of lakeside buildings look a bit untidy but still a pleasant walk. Ample well maintained seating all the way around. Quite busy even on acold February day & probably very busy during summer.

I just love this place & I never get fed up of the views. It can get very busy at the weekends so I prefer to go here during the week. Its a great place to visit any time of year. It has facilities for motorhomes,caravans & camper on the opposite side of the Lake . It also has a variety of restraunts cafe's & a hotel. It's flat around the Lake so could accommodate wheelchairs.

Great place for a family day out. There isn't just the lake, there is the surrounding countryside and canal banking to explore as well. There are eating and drinking places and also boat trips and pedalos. And a small beach and wildlife. Definitely worth a trip there.

Day or night through any season we have enjoyable times here. Plenty of different restaurants around the lake. Arcade yet across the road and the walk around the lake is split up with a brilliant ice cream shop. On bank holidays it can be a struggle to park but the carpark further up past the lake around the bend normally has space and is only a short lakeside walk back

This is a lovely lake to walk around. It is a walk of 2.3 miles so not too challenging at all really- my three year old managed it no trouble at all. Thankfully, there is a public toilet at the start of the walk just in case. The water level was very low owing to the lack of rain recently. The car park is 2£ for four hours which I thought was reasonable. There is also a child’s park half way round. A stretch of approximately quarter of a mile does not have a path so you have to look out for cars

A beautiful and peaceful location. Popular place for rowers and this taking part in water sports. Plenty of cafes and takeaways around the vicinity for food. Have a stroll alongside the lake and pop on over to the park and take in the beautiful views and relaxing nature. There are paid car parks close but will get busy especially during Summer

A lake 2.5 miles in circumference a flat walk even for the unfit. A few places of interest along the way including a hide to watch the variety of wildlife on the lake. Clock wise you end up at the Beach Carvery Pub(result) lol The food decently priced. Along the lake side there are plenty of other eating places with lots of variety choices or just bars to have a drink. With a chargeable car park not to expensive £2.00 for 4hrs. We'll worth a visit. Very popular for motorcycles and families

Very nice place to walk around. There is nothing for the kids. Be careful some roads near to the lake only for pedestrians and cyclists. Parking for two hours 1 £. Only negative experience for me in this place and my family we took from the ice-cream car and some of the ice-creams had hairs on them from the seller, also the ice cream was not cold !!

Amazing place where to spend time woth your family and friends. Parking is available for £5 (3 hours-believe me,time flies here). Toilets are available too. We went for a ride with motorboat for 45 minutes(23 pounds). There was other water fun options too. Few places for food and snacks,be ready they are a bit pricy 😊 Get your bread or seeds for birds-they would appreciate that. You can walk around lake in 45 minutes or if you got more time to enjoy environment or visit children playground on woody area😊 Definitely worth of visit .

Beautiful lake view with nice pubs and restaurants around it. Great for watersports. We enjoyed riding on a Pedalo - two adults and two kids for 45minutes for £18.5. Great fun!

So much amazing place. It is free and you can enjoy walking among this lake and the picturesque scenery of hills in the background. There are plenty of Canada Geese and amazing trees and flowers. There's also plenty of bars, small cafes and restaurants. Tried a fish with chips home made at Mr Thomas's and I can highly recommend this place.

Our springer loved it 🐾Beautiful scenery. Even the car park in the wood is pretty 🤣 Wonderful cafe (smashing sausages for dogs apparently 🐾🐶❤️) and RSPCA centre. Well worth a visit.

Came after a walk through Healey Dell! Great atmosphere, very friendly, food was good. We opted for a sandwich (choice of bread provided) & a toastie- which was made with plenty of cheese! Dog friendly and lots of staff engagement with pups too which was nice to see! A little gem in this area, will be back for the afternoon tea & the puppy menu!

Great service and friendly staff The music being on was a great vibe while we were sat in the sunshine having brunch, my wife went for the cheese on toast and I had poached eggs on toast! Beautiful scenery all round worth it 10/10 definitely would recommend and definitely will be back again! We also took a walk to the waterfall that's not too far away!

Visited the dog friendly cafe and sat in the outdoor space today after a wander around the beautiful nature reserve. Warm welcome from staff who are really accommodating of dietary restrictions too. One photo shows my vegetarian sausage and egg on gluten free bread. I really enjoyed my loose leaf peppermint tea and food. My partner enjoyed the coffee and a meaty sandwich. Nice big tables, airy, feels spacious. There's even a large carabina for attaching your dog lead too. Parking gets full in the free car park so arrive earlier during busy times (weekends/bank hols).

Booked an afternoon tea for my friends birthday and it was the best afternoon tea I've ever had! Was skeptical as I ordered a veggie one but the spread was beautiful, lovely selection of cakes and different sandwiches (avocado, coronation chicken but with carrot). Service was great, the chef came out to talk us through our selection. The quiche was incredible! Didnt finish it all so had a lovely goodie bag to take home, ill definitely be back again.

From the warmest and most polite greeting, to us leaving . We had the most magical and wonderful experience here today . After booking a wowcher for my friend's birthday , I was pleasantly surprised for the whole experience and transaction to feel very high quality and like nothing was too much trouble. Particular kudos Estelle our fantastic server . Tye sandwiches were so fresh and you could tell the cakes and fancies were very fresh also . We had a fresh caffatier of coffee , but you could chose tea also . Nothing about this experience felt like a bargain deal , it passed for something 3 x the amount paid. We will definitely be returning to sample the a la carte menu , as people around us were enjoying anything from pate , to soup amd even ploughman's, all looked exceptionally fresh and delicious . 11/10 experience and a delighted friend , thank you all so much ❤️

We went here for afternoon tea and it was lovely. The staff were great when one member of our group was late, not being able to find the place. I will say she followed the directions she found online and it was closed off. We went down Dell Road where Shawclough Road meets Market St (if you were heading from Falinge to Whitworth). Right on the corner opposite the public toilets there is an old sign on the side of a building point down the road for the tea rooms. So we followed that and found it easily. The afternoon tea was lovely. Especially the scones! So good!! We sat inside, because it's Winter and we aren't nuts 🤣. However if you have a dog or when it gets a bit warmer the outside area looks amazing. You can sit overlooking the river and get a beer from the bar or order some lunch. We will definitely be coming back.

First time visiting today for afternoon tea and to see Father Christmas. Absolutely fantastic. The kids loved Santa, he was very authentic and had plenty of time to talk to them which made it all the more magical. My daughter received a gift of lipgloss and nail polish (8years old) which she is super impressed with and my son was given a little toy bus (which he still hasn’t put down three hours later). Food was lovely - so much that the children brought some home for later. Staff were brilliant- nothing was too much effort. We went for a walk afterwards- the nature reserve is beautiful. Fabulous day all round. We will definitely be back. Massive thank you to all the team!

I’ve been here in the summer and in the winter and it was a delightful experience no matter the weather. The sound of the waterfalls is so calming and masks away the sound of the cars around the reserve. The tea room is extremely charming and well run and organised, the owner seems extremely passionate about keeping it traditional and cosy. I had a traditional cream tea which was a bit expensive for a scone and a cup of tea, but the room and the atmosphere made it worth it. There is a large piano giving the room elegance and the music they chose is perfect for a relaxing afternoon. It gives Rochdale a bit of life for sure.

Me and my friends all brought our mums out for a Mother’s Day treat and we have no complaints. We all had an amazing day and really enjoyed it there. The food was great and the china was really special. We were lucky enough to get a table upstairs which was also very nicely decorated.

Excellent value for money! Very generous portions. Friendly welcome. As part of a large group (larger than booked/planned) we were warmly greeted by a friendly and attentive team. It’s a charming place with plenty of choice to suite many dietary requirements. Perfect after a refreshing cold dip in the nearby waterfall. Vegans won’t feel left out here! First time we’ve been to Healey Dell Tea rooms and we’ll certainly be going back. We had the afternoon tea which came out absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious. The decor and music in the tea room itself was amazing. Never been anywhere quite like it. So English and traditional. My Mum kept saying my Nan would have loved it here. We just visited for the first time. The food was lovely and really good portions. The children’s afternoon tea was really cute. The music was really nice and created a great atmosphere. Also had a lovely take away coffee and cake.

What a sweet place. We couldn't get into the quaint little tea room but enjoyed the swing jazz drifting through the window while we shared my cream tea .My partner had a ruby beer with his half of the scone so I guess you would call that a cream beer! Lovely staff and impeccable service. To finish it off as we walked up the road a deer ran in front of us, while other young bucks played by the Riverside. I do hope this little gem goes from strength to strength

What a waste of money. Within the local area there's poverty,housing problems, social troubles. Was it so high up in the council priority list?. Traffic disruption is bedlam. Is this a distraction from local child abuse scandals?. Oh don't mention that!!.

Really good venue for events or just to walk around and soak up atmosphere. This building was built in the 19th century. Well worth the visit.

Love this place....after many years of delcine to this historic town and with the groming gangs have detroyed this reputation. Finally the government are heavily investing into the area. So many natural beauty, hikes to see. The local food is really good to if your eating halal. Many mosques too and people are always friendly. The water is possibly the best in UK with so many natrual resivoirs in area. Peolple need to visit this town and explore its wildrenes.

Beautiful building, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the newly reopened town hall and will be going back soon. Didn't use coffee shop but it looked very nice and the coffee smelt great!

Great place to visit with some amazing scenery. Our son loved climbing through the trees and over the little bridges. Tearoom very pretty and had a good choice of food. They do warn to take cash if you can as the wifi signal isn’t great, but we had no problems paying by card. Toilets inside to the left. There’s also a sign that says bomb shelter between the tearoom and the outside seating area, but we didn’t get to see this unfortunately! Would definitely visit again.

Lovely nature reserve located on the edge of Rochdale. The main walk in the reserve follows an old railway line and over a viaduct, but you can also walk in the surrounding woods and river valley below the viaduct. It can be muddy in the winter, so wear a good pair of walking boots or wellies. I parked on the south end of Dell Road. You'll not be able to drive the full length of Dell Road since it's closed off at the moment, but you can still walk to Healey Dell. Good place to spend at least an hour. It's popular with walkers, runners, cyclists and dog walkers. There's tea rooms close by.

Beautiful walk, great for the kids to explore. Waterfalls and rockery are stunning. Stumbled across the fairies Chapel too which intrigued the children. We can't wait to go back and explore further.

Beautiful and easy walk on the viaduct. A short detour of the side of the viaduct down to the river (healey dell), bring you hidden gem of trees, waterfalls, ponds and streams. Many places for picnics and shallow points to play with the water. There is also a lovely tea house at the start of the walk. Parking is free and there should be lots of parking space.

Glorious place, unbelievable that this is 20 mins away from where I live in a city. Feels magical and quite remote. Boggy in places so wear suitable shoes but lots to explore so take your time.

Very nice place for a hike or just a peaceful walk I visited in the summer and there was wildlife birds etc everywhere. There is a few WW2 bunkers in the woods as well as the area was used in WW2.

Stunningly beautiful in places. Not a very clear circular route path. There are a few map boards scattered about, & the paths themselves are obvious, however not all of them are part of the circular route 🤣 Very muddy in winter as well. But well worth it just for the views!

We were in the area and googled were to visit. A brilliant place for a wander with the kids , the waterfalls are amazing (as we've had plenty of rain lately) .some tricky steps if you're unsteady on your feet and small children with the steep drops at the waterfalls. Also, a nice little eatery at the car park . Plenty of history here.

Really lovely Tea Room after a walk round Healydell or can be accessed from the main road to save the walk. Excellent coffees . We had Gingerbread latte and some food. Food was really nice. Will be coming back for some cake ! Lovley touches with the heaters and decor.

I am very familiar with this wonderful museum having visited for many years. I have been to the museum three times over the last month with friends from outside of Rochdale, including one from overseas as I am proud of Rochdale's role in the the ground-breaking Co-operative Movement.. Each friend commented on the lack of interaction by the members of staff with the visitors. The staff were preoccupied with what appeared to be personal craft work and presumably administration behind desks (could only see the top of one person's head). We were not greeted, spoken to or offered any information about the museum. Just did not feel welcome. Staff remained seated behind their desks on the ground floor throughout each visit and only spoke to us when we enquired about the costs of unpriced items in the gift shop area. Such a shame as I am sure the staff are very knowledgeable and there were missed opportunities to share the great history and museum resources of the Co-operative Movement.

The kids enjoyed it immensely.. especially the pretend shop. Staff were very friendly and helpful.. they even have a sensory bag at the entrance in case you need one. Nice way to get them to learn about the co-op movement.

A small but great museum. Educational and informative often with special events too. It's in a lovely conversation area too, with an excellent pub next door. I'd give 5 stars if it had a place to get a quality coffee and snack in there.

Fascinating place to visit with loads of interactive things for kids and adults. The custodians were lovely and really helpful and knowledgeable

A group of friends went- of a certain age!! So several of us had knowledge of a coop store and how central they were to our family as we grew up. My memory of our local coop store was called Tower buildings in Prestwich- on 3 levels with clothes, hardware, furniture- everything really. A small useful department store- an asset to Prestwich but of course it went long ago. So with strong memories of the coop it was interesting to wander around the 3 floors of this small museum and marvel at the ideas and people who had started the business in such a small way in the 1840’s. I can even recall our Divi number and the uniform staff wore in the grocery. We watched an old film - 1938 black and white with pretty poor sound and not much sign of Lancashire accents , showing how the men- of course!who started the idea and the struggles they had starting the business for the sake of poor Rochdale folk. The museum does tours if you plan ahead so worth giving them a call. Try next door (the Baum) for food and drinks! Excellent place. And it’s free !( with pay for parking in the multi storey car park next door).

I expected this venue to be bigger but what was there was interesting and informative, unfortunately one of the floors was closed due to an event on the day of my visit and there also seemed to be a private meeting taking place on another floor which made me feel like I was intruding whilst trying to look at the exhibits. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no parking on site, however there is a car park over the road.

That Museum is quite good. It shows you the History of co-operative movement in Great Movement. The Museum is in that place, where the movement in History begann. You can learn a lot about a famous Social movement. And you will find very kindly People there at the Museum.

I have been walking up and down this canal since i were a kid. I love it. However.... Trying to push my disabled daughter is seriously hard work. We get on at lock 49 and walk as far as i can. Today we actually managed to get to todmorden. It was fookin hard work.

A loverly walk on the towpath with loverly views and barges mowed up. You can walk from todmorden to Rochdale or to hebden Bridge.

Beautiful scenic walk along here. Usually I go from the summit towards Rochdale sometimes towards Manchester. Always quiet, peaceful and always a friendly person to say hello to. Some great photo opportunities and a great chance to see different wildlife.

The Rochdale Canal is a great place to have a holiday Visiting all the villages, Sowerby Bridge, Luddenden, Hebden Bridge and Todmordan, when the water allows you A lot of fantastic boozers all along the canal and in the villages 🍻🍻👍🏻👍🏻

I ran this from Shaw to the city one morning and it actually felt fairly safe and clean. Judging by the street art and residents signs they want to keep it a nice place. It's very walkable and many people were riding to work along it.

This place is great, for a small-ish town like Rochdale it really punches above its weight. I took my little girl who is about 17 months and she loved all the interactive exhibits and the arts and crafts. I came here for work to set up a live stream in the gallery several years ago too I remember the staff being very lovely and welcoming. The football exhibit was great, although some of it was a bit questionable and not sure I'd pay £6 for a zine that in all honestly looks like a bloke got a camera from Argos and took it to a footy match, but some of it was phenomenal. I took some photos of the old-timey artwork because I really liked it. Overall I'd say the people of Rochdale are spoilt to have such a lovely museum on their doorstep (as I am with Portland Basin in Ashton which is also worth a visit if you're into local social history). The art gallery is really cool, a good mix of contemporary and classical and it doesn't feel at all pretentious. We had a really fun visit so thank you.

I've not been here since I was a kid, so I thought I would take my kids while we were in the area. It was a pleasant way to spend an hour. It was really relaxed with lots of things to see and read. The toilets are easy to access and really clean, earning an ooh from my Mom as she opened the door. The 1st floor has a really immersive experience for children. My teen commented that we had all found our places as my son played with the eco friendly toys, she did some craft, my mom looked at the prams and I sat on my bum surveying them all. We were made extremely welcome when we entered, never felt harassed and weren't followed around or watched constantly (though I suspect we were on cctv which I'm more than happy with). For the anxiety people, there are clear directions on what to do and where to go, approachable staff members, easy to find toilets and it was clean and well organised. I felt comfortable from the second I walked through the door to the second I left. Parking is easy in the multistory car park across the road.

I spent an hour and a half on a inspiring adventure with a good friend, neither of us to look at would give an impression of even being slightly interested in in art and local history but we were given a tour by a wonderful staff member unfortunately the uninterested man on the till was only giving us a suspicious eye but that aside Touchstone is a must for a great afternoon in Rochdale and the cafe is a whole review on its own

Love this place. Have been many time and will be going many more. lots of informative and interesting local history. welcoming feel with friendly atmosphere. I have been to several of the exhibitions held at touchstones and loved every one. Have visited with family children, pensioner's and when friends visit from out of town. Everyone would like to return. Lots to do. Lovely gift shop and you can also get something to eat and a decent brew.

Great place for walking with Lovely views, Definitely walk round all 3 reservoirs its an easy walk. there is small parking.

Beautiful place to go and to not to be missed, you feel like your in another part of the country, it was a dull day, but it didn't rain, which this time of the year is a big ask,you can plan your walk according to the different walks around the reservoirs.

Beautiful walk. To do the whole circuit along the water's edge takes about 2 and a half hours. Peaceful and not many people. Only downside is the approach to the carpark which has a mile of cobbled road

This is one of my favourite walks I’ve ever done, such a lovely place in the sunshine! Could stay here for hours I’ve done this walk a couple of times as I enjoy it so much!

Gorgeous place for a walk or even a run.

It's very pretty with the windmills, but but the road to the parking area is full of potholes, partly cobbled and too narrow. I also personally was not keen on the open path entrance to the reservoir, it was a wind tunnel and we lost the light that low. I considered returning in the summer and staying on the upper paths, but I will not return because of the parking.

Greenbooth Reservoir is a hidden gem in the heart of nature. The tranquility of the water, surrounded by lush greenery, is simply breathtaking. It's a perfect spot for a peaceful walk or a picnic. I went on a miserable rainy day and still enjoyed the walk and atmosphere. Parks up at the Greenbooth Reservoir car park which is free but full of pot holes and the road up there a real car shaker. Can't wait to come again when the weather is better, more than likely going to be a 5 star place.

What a wonderful place and a beautiful walk, a great view of many places but loved seeing Manchester city in the background, you can split it up or do the whole walk, I recommend the whole walk and can't wait to go back.

4 reservoirs in one. Lots of trails and paths to walk. Can even get up onto the hills and walk across to knowl Hill or wartergrove reservoir in wardle. Can be lots of sheep about so be careful if you have a dog with you. Can see manchester city centre easily from the car park. Our favorite walk is from the car park, turn left at the first gate. It takes you all the way round the bigger 3. Roughly 6 miles back to the car.

Really accessible with fantastic views towards Manchester City Center and the Cheshire plains beyond, this is a wonderful place to a walk, on good hard core paths high up the sides of the reservoir. In fact there are three reservoirs in a line and it is possible to figure of eight walk around them depending on your time and stamina. Obviously however be warned it can get very wild up here and weather can change quickly so be prepared. Plenty of dog walkers come here, and on a snowy day the local families flock to the slopes for tobogganing!

Only discovered this at the weekend, what a beautiful place and a really good walk round. It's very well maintained and looked after and we'll definitely be coming back. The carpark is quite small and there's quite a long cobbled road leading up to it which isn't great for todays car. If we'd have known we'd have parked it at the bottom of the road and walked up.

Small fire museum opposite the tram stop or a short walk from Rochdale train station. A few examples of fire engines, some that you can sit in. Staffed by retired fire personnel who are very knowledgeable. A couple of interactive games for children as well as a dress up section for them. Small cafe too, their food is nice if a little pricey and lovely hot chocolate. There's a small carpark behind the station, but it's easier to take the train or tram. It kills a few hours. Opening times are a bit odd, so check before you travel.

My 4 year old boy LOVED his trip to the Fire Ground, especially the kiddie friendly fireman’s pole and sitting in the drivers seat of a real fire engine! The exhibits are well presented and very interesting and the cafe sells a delicious range of snacks and drinks. The guys who run the place are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We stayed for over 2 hours and my boy wanted to stay another two.

We had a really wonderful day here with 5 children 7 and under. They loved all the opportunities to explore. The museum is well thought out and arranged with all ages considered. The displays are informative and the range of history covered was excellent, especially for a small museum. The cafe served delicious cake, ice cream and tea at really reasonable prices. The staff were really friendly and knew such a lot. Really recommend.

An excellent museum with details of fire fighting across the years. Some unique exhibits that you are asked not to touch or climb on but there are plenty that you can touch. Kids can try on helmets and uniforms, also sit in the drivers seat of a real fire engine. Lots of interaction for kids and adults. There is also a very nice café with good choice of snacks.

Such a great place for little ones to learn. My son (19 months) loves it. We have been twice now. All of the staff are so lovely, knowledgeable and helpful.

The museum is in the old fire station near to the railway station. It's a very comprehensive collection and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The staff are always cleaning the stock. It has a lot for the children to do. The cafe is clean with good snacks.

This place is outstanding, far exceeded my expectations. It's brilliant for kids and adults. Took my 3 year old and 18 month old, they both loved it and so did I. The layout is well thought through to keep keep younger kids engaged and engage adults/ older kids on the more museum-ey stuff. Everything is really well looked after. The staff are lovely and more than happy to chat you through anything. The food in the cafe is brilliant - I'd come back for a toastie alone!!

We all had a great time, lots of friendly former (and even active?) firemen sharing stories with the children. They were showing a car extraction procedure on the car park, flipping the car over and cutting the roof to evacuate a passenger with explanations of each step. I don’t know how often they do it but we felt very lucky to see it. We will definitely visit again.

We had a marvellous visit. The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibits were impressive and child friendly as I had my 2 year old granddaughter with me. The food was very good also. Well done!

Fantastic place, excellent value for money, we was lucky to get a volunteer Dave to talk to us about all the engines and the history our granddaughters love it. Cafe for us had a very limited menu, but what we choose was nice. The little gift shop again was great value and all three girls got a little gift, Matilda couldn’t wait to get home to colour in her picture she picked. Will defiantly be back

A fantastic afternoon spent at the museum with our four year old who loved the interactive exhibits. A big shout out to volunteer and ex-fireman Les Reid for his captivating and emotive insights into the world of firefighting. They really struck a chord, brought everything to life and enhanced the experience. He and the rest of the team are a real credit to the museum. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend! An added bonus was the lovely sweet treats and coffee in the onsite cafe 👍

really interesting and a lot more there than we expected! the volunteers were nice and offered more info about various items. had a lot for children. there were current firemen and an engine in the yard too. a small shop with lots of children and a nice looking cafe inside

We visited on a Saturday morning as soon as it opened , with our son who has autism. We were lucky as it was still quiet then, we had the whole place more or less to ourselves. We absolutely loved our visit. This was our first of many ") My son is really into fire engines at the moment and this was the perfect place. It was very interactive, there were fireman props children could try on and role play, a fire engine interactive game which was loads of fun, some steps with a fireman pole to slide down for the kids which we tried! There were fire engines that you could climb inside and have a look at close up. There's a shop at the entrance with so many cool emergency vehicles and books etc and there's also a cafe. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were so welcoming and very friendly. We had a great time overall. I highly recommend it. Definitely coming back again soon ")

We had a great morning, visiting The Fire Station Museum, with our two Granddaughters age 10 & 8. Very friendly and informative staff, the majority who are ex firefighters, lots of interesting tales to tell, making the artefacts and ancient fire vehicles even more impressive and enhancing the whole experience. Lots of interactive and hands on activities for children (and adults) of all ages including a fire engine, dressing up fire fighting clothes, and a mini fire pole. The information boards are clear and easy to read and understand. The whole museum is very clean. There is a small gift shop, cafe and free on site parking. Highly recommended. It is a credit to all involved.

Great museum for both the young and the old. Lots of historical information and interactive games for the children. Large selection of exhibits too. The on-site cafe and toilets an added bonus. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. We worth a visit.

Today the panto was fantastic. The cast were perfect in their interaction with the audience and themselves. The atmosphere was great. Audience participation spot on. If you can catch it before the end of the run

Good sized hall.seats are a bit crammed causing your knees to touch front person head can be inconvenience if you are tall. Snacks in breaks could be more variety. First time visitors can find the place confusing as directions not so clear.

Sat nav postcode takes you to an entrance that is sealed and gated, so you have to drive back down the road and onto the next street to get to the parking area, large parking area. Attended a school concert, so was quite busy, large auditorium and plenty of leg room at the seats.

First time last night we’ve been to the theatre for the pantomime we had a super time, me my grandchildren and daughter really enjoyed it Highly recommend going over Christmas great family pantomime superb cast too 🎅🏻🤶🏻🌲

Comfortable venue, providing some good shows. Not the largest theatre in the world, but very reasonably sized. Going here to see a show wouldn't be a wasted night.

We go every year for the Christmas pantomime and its always a good show. The theatre staff are always very friendly and welcoming too.

Nice ground especially cos we won

Home of the rochdale football club. The Dale. Nice stadium with bar and food located in the stadium. The family stand has a kids area called Desmond den, with 2 ps4 for the kids to use as well as activities. Staff are friendly. A great place to be when the Dale are playing good. There is a all small weather pitch outside the stadium where there is football coach and children can play a quick game of football. There is parking at the stadium and loads of places to park on the side streets.

Decent place but the toilets oh dear

Good food options at half time, £3.80 for a pint, and a friendly atmosphere. Up the Dale!

Cracking ground. Easy access and good parking. Very reasonable entry fee. Friendly local club. I've watched both football and rugby here as an away supporter with no issues, well done all involved.

Absolute rubbish place rubbish team ground price for stuff expensive avoid otherwise you will get ripped off

Ground is what you'd expect for a league one side, nothing special basic seating/standing. The only positive about this place though is how easy it is to get to. Atmosphere very poor only time any noise was made was a goal. Very expensive for food and drink, not what I'd expect to see at lower league english side. There's premier league stadiums that are cheaper than this place. It was £23 for match ticket £3 extra to pay on the day, which I thought was a fair price as a lot of revenue is generated through ticket sales. All in all wouldn't return.

Really had a great day at Rochdale AFC, looking forward to returning soon and hopefully another Rochdale win

Great day out, very interesting & three steam engines not just the one

One of the best steam museums in the area. Featuring the enormous mill engine still sited where it used to power the machinery in the weaving mill. Engines are in steam on the first Sunday in each month. Best check the website for details.

What a fantastic place - a real living museum where you step back in time to see the industrial powerhouse. All the volunteers were extremely helpful and had plenty of time to chat and talk about the engine. The cake was also nice from the cafe!

This is a fascinating place for all those with an interest in the Industrial Revolution. Plenty to see with volunteers on hand to answer questions. When the engine is in steam you can really appreciate what a amazing piece of engineering it is.

Really interesting heritage site, great to see the engines running. Volunteers are really engaging and informative, great trip. I see there are different events throughout the year which is an added bonus. We saw the britannia coconut dancers, who were also very entertaining and the history of the them also a proper piece of our industrial heritage.

Amazing place, well worth a visit. Top marks to the folks who keep this place running. Haven't been for a while as distance is a problem nowadays, but I certainly want to go there again.

Industrial history and well worth a visit when they are on a steam day, vintage land rovers on display were a bonus...

First time there interesting. I've now become a member at this Mill working on Steam days and none Steam days. Helping to rebuild another Steam engine. Working with the other members who are great to work with. Update come and Irene in steam. I'll be running her on May 5th Classic car show and bikes fun for all ages.

An excellent day out with the children. There's so much history and a working steam powered engine. £5 adults and children go free, all monies go towards the upkeep. A must see.

Had a great visit last Sunday. Steam engines were working & are amazing. Staff there are very knowledgeable - & a lovely cafe with Christmas singers.

This church goes back hundreds of years as a lot of mediaeval history. there is plenty of information on the internet about it. well worth looking at. The church is called st leonards

Lovely part of the world. Amazing walks, views and natural beauty. Love popping in to The White House to grab some lovely food and drink. Caught some amazing sunsets here, with views over Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Top place to get away for a few hours from the hustle & bustle of the smog-filled and rat trodden city...

We walked a loop from the m62 motorway bridge upto green withens reservoir then upto Blackstone Edge reservoir and on to Blackstone Edge, can be boggy but worth it for the views. It might not be the highest of hills but it's a great walk and good scenery.

Great place for a walk or bike ride the area is wide open and in the summer the views are awesome. In the winter months it is very windy and cold but is a great place to visit whatever the weather.

A fairly easy hike from Hollingworth Lake, bag the trig!

Beautiful for a hike alone, with the dog or with the family. There’s plenty of places to park around, and a beautiful scenic road for driving/cycling. If you decide to go on a cold/windy/rainy day like I did then dress appropriately because it can get cold up there. 🥶

What a great place to walk! You can certainly be walking for hours if you choose, lovely views, fairly easy for older people too! As you can see, I've added a few pics for your perusal.

Recently attended a wedding reception here and it was fantastic. The room was decorated amazingly, food was good, drinks were a great price and the staff were all very nice and helpful and plenty of them. Would highly recommend it for any kind of celebration.

A good function room. A big charity event that held a lot of people and raised an amazing amount of money for the Children's Hospital, oncology department.

Great atmosphere to watch the football. Good beer and you can get hot drinks as well.

Had a fantastic benefit do for Brendan Decko. The place was packed and the bar staff coped extremely well with the serving of great beers. The function room was clean and well presented. I won't hesitate the next time I get an invite to the club. Thanks for a great day out.

We have just got married at Rochdale sports club it was amazing the venue was fantastic we could not have asked for a better place to get married Gail was amazing she just took all the pressure off us and nothing was too much trouble I can not express how much we really enjoyed our wedding day also the bar staff was also excellent I would highly recommend the rochdale sports club for any occasion 10/10 from me and Mandy

Perfect wedding celebrations in the newly refurbished function room. The room was perfectly dressed by Gale. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent food, staff and overall service. Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding celebrations or any other party.
