Poor quality, poor atmosphere, rude staff and customers alike. In general a beautiful area spoiled by a shambolic ski resort. I've given this place the benifit of the doubt for to long. Overall its a high percentage of the people who go there/work there that ruin it

Nice summit to climb (1250m) ! About 600m of difference with the starting point ! The climb is easy, can be done in family. If you want more, you can make a bigger loop going through the « Northern corries »

Spectacular hike here from Ben Macdui. Stunning and I really hope to be back for another go in the future

Disappointing- not even a KFC or Mac Donald’s, could take a tip a from Snowdon and get a train or bus to the summit. Shopping malls virtually non existent, weather was bad too! Otherwise great!

Absolutely magnificent. My daughter and I spent an incredibly breathtaking day there. The scenery is the stuff postcards are made of. Love ut and didn't want to leave. Thank you Scotland😘

I went up this as a teenager and 40 years later I'm trying to locate where Dad's slides were taken and it is NOT HELPED by this pin and the associated photosphere being on the wrong summit. Make sure you use a reputable map and don't just rely on your phone.

Absolutely great. Really worth the money. So much to do whether you are feeling active or feel like a saunter to the less energetic attractions you'll find plenty to keep the kids and yourselves busy. Our kids loved it. I think they've really hit the mark by not going crazy with the food pricing too. That makes a big difference.

First visit with the family to this park, all varying ages and every one of us really enjoyed the experience. Great outdoor adventure park with loads to do. We arrived at 10.30am and didn't leave till almost closing time. Once you ve paid in all attractions are free. You can take your own picnic or buy from the food outlets. Plenty of on site parking. A truly wonderful day was had and fully intend to return. Be careful not to get lost in the maze !!

One of the best adventure parks I've been to, and that's even with the main activities closed for the off season. They charge a reduced rate for off peak as well so you don't feel hard done by. There's an amazing play area with a huge tower to climb up, free to use electric cars to drive round the track, and the best dinosaurs I've seen in England! You've also got illusions galore, gaunt chairs, slanted rooms, and the vortex tunnel, not to mention all the excitement in the bamboozeleum. Honestly had a great day and would happily go back again 😁

It was great, plenty to do. Although some attractions were closed. Everything is included in your ticket, just bring food or buy there. No hidden costs, unless you go to the gift shop. Also wasn't aware its dog friendly! Which is brilliant. Would be great to add in some recycling bins somewhere.

Fantastic place, had a blast!!! My children enjoyed a lot. Honestly it’s so worth the money. I love how the whole family can participate in everything! And most of all , it was a very clean place. The toilets were great. The water slide was the best. My most favorite place was the butterfly house. Spoiler alert: there are actually free flying butterflies!!!!! Not like some caged ones and I love love loved it. There were also some quails and a pond with fish. The environment was just like the tropical country I come from. I had a beautiful taste of my home ❤️ Will go back there many many times

Absolutely superb. Worth every penny. If you have active kids they will spend many happy hours at Landmark. There were no hidden charges. Once you're in you can do all of the activities as many times as you like. My sons were here for 6 hours and wished it had stayed open later! Thoroughly recommend.

Absolute essential family day out if holidaying in the Highlands. I came here in the early 80's aged 9 years old and I still remember that experience. Returned for the first time today with my 5 and 6 year old and I'm sure they will also have those same positive memories after a cracking day. I'm not marking down but would recommend taking sandwiches if you can as the food on site is a little limited - however it's still affordable compared to similar offerings at similar venues around the UK.

We spent the afternoon here and had a wonderful time. Prices were reduced because somethings were closed for the season but what was on offer was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful from visitors reception , to the restaurant and the gift shop. The food in the restaurant was excellent, piping hot ,a good selection , very tasty and reasonably priced. The exhibits were amazing particularly the dinosaurs which my grandson is still talking about. I would imagine that it would be easy , in season to spend a whole day there.

I cannot rate landmark highly enough, I have a 2 year old and 6 year old and they loved it. Enough for the kids and adults to do. The water slides were so much fun and both kids were able to go on with adults. We'll worth the price tag too. Will definitely be back.

What's a fantastic trip, well laid out and great staff. While it was extremely busy, there was still room to move around each activities. All-be-it with a wait for thw more popular attractions, such at the rope climb, water slids and so on. Highly recommended. If you can, maybe take a pack lunch, as the restaurant prices are rather expensive.

We had a great family day out to the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. The park tries to be disability friendly as possible and they do a fabulous job. The staff were brilliant from start to finish with my son. So friendly and understanding. There is fun for children of all ages and capability. The queues can be long to get on some of the activities. So if you are attending with a child/adult with disabilities then be sure to get a green pass when paying in. This can be used once every half hour to make it fair to other guests. We had lunch at the cafe and the food was nice, quick service too. The park is well looked after and clean. The park has designated smoking areas too that everyone seems to respect. We will definitely be visiting again.

My partner and I had the most wonderful day at Landmark on a Saturday. It was busy however we didn’t have to wait for anything really! The new addition “Networks” was really fun and walking around the dinosaurs 🦕 was something my partner really enjoyed! The walk in the ancient forest was really fun too! The only thing I would point out is that I ordered a chicken burger and it was frozen chicken between two buns: that was really nasty so I ended up having the chips! Other than the food the place is really good! There’s picnic tables available to bring your own food as well and I would suggest to do that! Xx

Great place to visit, with plenty to do for all ages. The place is nice, clean, and tidy. Staff do an amazing job of keeping on top of everything. Some queues for some of the more popular attractions, bit even at what looked ⅘ full we didn't have to queue too long. Amazing all-around views from the top of Forest Tower. Book your tickets in advance and save yourself a bob or two.

Had a great day out with the family. The staff on reception were super helpful and really friendly. We did the Easter trail which was fun but only option to put on Facebook which we don’t have. The lady on reception took a note of my details and said she would try and get it uploaded. Totally went over and above to help me. The facilities are good and you can take you own food if you want. My 7 YO loves the place and is a must every time we travel up to Aviemore. I think it’s pretty reasonable price wise as well when you think about how much it costs to get into other places.

Overall a fun and enjoyable experience. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here. Dinosaur kingdom was amazing with all the mechanical dinosaurs. Bamboozeleum was quite interactive. Plenty of parking and picnic tables and benches.

Absolutely fantastic experience, especially for those with kids. The winter lights experience, a walk among trees in the dark, was simply magical. The park offers a variety of activities. It gets quite cold in winter, so dress warmly. A must-visit for a fun-filled family day out!

Really good, first time visiting since dinosaur land opened! Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained, although we missed the roller coaster. Lots of food and refreshment stops aswell as gift shops. Great day had by all.

We took our daughter to Landmark for her birthday, she and her friend had a great time. They especially enjoyed the Butterfly's House. We spent all day at the park, from 10:30am until 5pm. We went on all the rides, tree top trail etc. We had a great family day out!

A must visit place with kids for a full day out on sunny summer day. Young kids can enjoy the attractions with parents and has a amazing woods walk! My both kids enjoyed a lot we spent entire day here. Food options are very limited for vegetarians & vegans. Nice Forest Experience with good choice of different attractions involving water slides / dinosaurs park / butterfly garden/ tree nets are really big & can be enjoyed by whole family / walk through the woods is awesome - overall highly recommend for a day out.

This was our first visit here, and it was certainly worth the 3hrs drive up. So much to do for most ages, the food here was very reasonable priced, we are a family of 5 and would eat here again. The dinosaurs was a huge hit with our little one. And the water flumes and skyline walks for the older kids. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended park to visit, especially if you have kids from the age of 4 to 13. Built in a forest, with many places to sit. Eventhough my kids were older, we had fun at several places ( trampoline, butterfly Park, water slide ride, the illusion House). Buy your tickets way in advance.

I arranged the trip as a surprise anniversary present for my parents. It was excellent. When I booked I mentioned that my dad was blind and would need assistance and would like to be near the door and a toilet. They looked after my dad right from the start. We were placed near the door and the toilet. My parents had a great time. They were made to feel very special. It was the best anniversary ever. Thank you so much to all the staff...xx

Visited for the light lunch treat. Food was fantastic. Staff were amazing. We booked the first class carriage as well. The ride on an old steam was something we'll never forget. All monies raised go towards maintaining the railway so a great cause too. Highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic! We did the return trip from Aviemore to Broomhill with light lunch. The sandwiches and soup were absolutely delicious, and the friendliness of the staff was second to none. Highly recommended, and we will certainly do this trip again when next in the area.

What an amazing afternoon tea travelling by steam train in the Director's private carriage. The staff were so friendly, hard working and very knowledgeable. The Strathspey Railway restoration project is ongoing and funded through charitable donations. Would highly recommend the trip... the staff are so passionate about what they do and that shone through each and everyone one if them. Well done 👏

Went here for my 50th birthday treat. High tea on a train. Service was brilliant. Alway wanted to go and so glad I did. 20 mile journey of stunning view of the mountains and grazing livestock along the way. And a chance to see some deer. Amust go for all tourists. Although I live no to far away

Had a lovely relaxing day with our son and friends. We paid for seats only and just took some snacks with us. Beautiful scenery and a couple of stops at some lovely old stations, including a miniature railway set-up at Boat of Garten. Staff clearly love what they do and the driver gave us a wee toot when we left the platform as they went past!

You need to do this!! We went on the Steam Train today and absolutely loved every minute! It was like going back in time. The carriages were so well preserved and we took a walk up to the first class carriages and got to have a look at them (we were standard class). Worth every penny at less than £20pp. The views are lovely on the way up and there were 2 decent 10 min stops on the way up and down at a station where you could get out and see the train in its glory. It was really cool seeing the front detach and join the back on the return journey. You can also get some great views of the train from the big windows at the end of the carriage. Highly recommend to do this!

We were in the directors carriage and were attended to by Lorna and Dermaid (sorry if that's wrong spelling). During our journey they were both informative and enlightening regarding past and present local history. We also learned a lot about the engine and carriages. We had a choice of 2 soups and also had sandwiches. I would have preferred to have had a menu prior to boarding for the choice of sandwich (we have fussy people in our group) having said that the sandwiches were lovely and went down a treat with our soup and tea. A worthwhile couple of hours spent during our time in Aviemore

A steam-hauled train, running through impressive scenery, with the option of cream teas if you want them. What's not to like? Access to the railway is literally across the footbridge at Aviemore station. My only comment is that, as a steam-buff, it would be nice to be able to view the shed and workshops to see the work the conservationists are doing to preserve their locomotive and carriage collection.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon out! We were on holiday in Inverness, and decided to travel down to Aviemore for lunch on the Strathspey Railway. What a wonderful experience. All staff were friendly and helpful, lovely gifts and mementos in the gift shop, and the hubby came away with a handful of books during our midway stop. We had let the staff know about allergies, and they were on top of it. Everything on the menu was clearly marked for allergy free. Good choice in the bar, and the food itself was lovely. Definitely an experience we would like to do again. If you're in Aviemore or passing by, I highly recommend a visit to the railway.

Visited after a recommendation from our hosts, it was absolutely lovely. All the staff were polite and helpful. The afternoon tea was very nice and the setting of a scenic train ride made it all the better. Reasonably priced and highly recommend a visit if in the area.

It was superb. They have added an observation car now. There is a steward who supplies gratis tea, coffee and shortbread. Lovely trip to Broomhill via Boat of Garten then turned round. A stop for 15 mins at each station to take pictures. This is the forth time I've been on the journey. Must be very xciting for ids having a team train pulling the carriages. Highly recommended.

We travelled on the lunch time service, for which you have to pre-book. Definitely recommend though, as the food was delicious, the service great, staff really lovely... and lots of cups of tea included! For the extra cost vs just a train ride the lunch option really made today feel more of an interesting and novel experience, particularly since it was grey and raining and the views weren't great. Our (under 5) son was with us and was able to join in fully, with a selection of suitable food and drinks for his age. Now I just want to return and try out the afternoon tea service as well!

What a lovely experience this was. We had a light lunch in our own private compartment first class). Travelled from Aviemore, a very quaint little railway station, to Boat of Garten and on to Broomhill. We got off for 10 minutes at Boat of Garten whilst the train took on water. All the staff were lovely and clearly wanted everyone to enjoy their trip. We'll worth ninety five pounds for two people and I would highly recommend this. It was like being on a film set or in an Hercule Poirot episode!

Platform 3 gives you access to the beautiful Strathspey steam railway, departing from Aviemore. You're given time to get off at the other stations which are well-worth pictures as the loco takes on water - we're back in the 1950's now. Staff are in full uniform and really make you feel welcome; for a few more pounds grab an armchair in the observation car and be served tea/coffee and some delicious cakes. Young children seem to adore anything connected to stream railways so if you're anywhere near Aviemore or the Cairngorms, book a trip. (You'll be best to book in advance!)

Booked this for my 40th birthday. The station has a nice vintage feel to it. The journey itself was quite relaxing and able to take in the breathtaking views.

Super nice experience for afternoon tea. Good value for money. The ride is about 1.40h long. This feels just perfect, not too short but not too long if you have little children. We bought the tickets on the day at the train station. All the stuff was super nice.

Fantastic trip (we did the first class option). Staff very friendly, and the whole place had a very positive and welcoming vibe. The scenery was stunning and the round trip about an hour forty.

Steam train experience: My husband and I booked the first class high-tea option so we got our own cabin. Was great! never done this kind of thing before and was on both our bucket lists. To upgrade to the first-class cabin wasn't that much more either so we thought, why not!?! We got a little bottle of Prosecco each as well as a massive pot of tea, choice of sandwich for our high-tea set, and the various cakes and sweets that came with it. The journey on the steam train was 45min out and 45min back with short stops on the 2 stations along the way. Staff were always helpful and kind, letting you know what was happening all the time. The return saw the steam engine switching ends of the train which was great to watch. Got to see some amazing Scottish countryside and relax for an hour an a half whilst eating snacks and drinking tea [took the prosecco home].

Beautiful, breathtaking, and serene! Lovely to walk around the loch and different terrain also. There's a public toilet and it's quite clean as well. If you're driving, gotta pay for parking fees of £4.50. Or, you can walk from town center which a quite decent and lovely 1-1.5 hr walk. There's a stable on the way and it's lovely. One of my favorite places 💕💕💕

Stunning views !!!!

Loch an Eileen is a beautiful location within the cairngorms. About 10 minutes drive from Aviemore turning right at Rothiemurchas. £1.50 to pay for parking is totally reasonable and I would be happy to pay more. A short walk from the car park gets you to the loch which has a trail around its circumference. There is a small shop which sells tea and coffee and a few snacks along with some local crafts. I was more interested in the small beach which I used to launch my inflatable kayak. The weather was perfect being still but no midges. I paddled around the loch for an hour or more and enjoyed it immensely. I’ll be back again.

Loch an Eileen is beautiful - the walk around it takes around 1hr 45minutes and is around 6km in length. It’s got some small changes in height and there are toilets at the house/shop just by the car park. Parking is a maximum of £4.50 per vehicle but is £1.50 per adult and £0.50 per child up to that maximum amount.

A beautiful small Loch with some lovely walks. Car parking is charged at £1.50 per person capped at £4.50 per car. There are toilets here and a really nice shop which sells great gifts, snacks, drinks and ice cream. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great walk around the Loch. When you find the right spot just opposite the castle, you will be able to hear an echo around the loch. We would appreciate a bit more signage along the walk to invite us further along the trail.

Nice walk around the lake to view the castle from every side. Walk requires good hiking shoes, so be warned ⚠️

Absolutely stunning views and the walk is amazing I would've given 5 stars but it lacks in benches o the walk round for little one or disabled or the older generation just to stop there are ple ty of places for a few beaches some with great views over the Loch but don't let put you off we have a large family with kids from 17 to 2 years and they all loved it that is my only bad point

Very pretty, good for long walks as the terrain is pretty flat. There is a parking area which you would need to pay £4.50 for but it’s worth it if you want a calm scenery.

We went on the hill trip with our kids, and had the most beautiful experience. The hike was very doable, and the people guiding the tour we're very friendly. They gave you all the time you needed with the reindeer, were very open to questions and did all they could to help us and the kids to feed the animals and get some lovely pictures.

What a wonderful experience. Two guides led us up the mountain to meet the herd that another guide had located and brought to a spot. It’s a hands off experience and I really appreciated the way the reindeer’s space and natural instinct were respected. If they wanted to come near they could, and otherwise, they were happy to mingle around the ground. We went on a snowy morning in March as a group of six, we were able to stay for as long as we wanted and then the guides led us back. I’d happily visit again when I’m next in Scotland.

Fantastic entertainment for all families. Contact with reindeer, feeding and being close to them gives an unforgettable experience. Service is very nice and professional. You can see a great commitment and love for what they do. I recommend it to everyone.

We travel to the Cairngorms regularly but this was our first visit to the Reindeer Centre. Came in November and we where lucky with the weather, dry and sunny but cold. For £20 each a ticket, we where escorted by two staff who walked us the 15/20 minute walk to the herd. They gave a lot of good information about the reindeer and we could ask questions and latterly feed the deer too. The reindeer surround you and it is a lovely experience, we could stay for as long we wanted so we stayed about an hour and walked back admiring the scenery, taking photos along the way. The scenery they live in is one of the best in Scotland. The visitor centre held 3 reindeer to see at your leisure too, a good place to visit

(Hill Walk) The most magical experience! ✨️ The staff where knowledgeable and friendly. The trip was well thought-out and planned. There were more reindeer than people. This meant that there was plenty of space for photo opportunities! Feeding them was just amazing. There was no rush to leave and you could hang out with the herd afterwards. Plus the views were stunning. I could not recommend this experience enough!!!

My boyfriend surprised me with us visiting the reindeer herd. I honestly was not sure what to expect but let me tell you, it was easily was of the best things I experienced on our trip to Scotland. It was a 20 min walk to this open field on the side of the mountain. It was a very easy walk and the sites along the way were beautiful. We learned the history of the reindeer and how they're cared for. We got to feed and interact with the reindeer as long as we liked. Just how close we were able to get to these majestic creatures was something out of a book. Hannah and Emily-Kate, our tour guides were amazing. Emily-Kate snapped the best photo my boyfriend and I have ever taken. This experience was magical!

We visited the fenced area exclusively as this was a last minute stop on our trip and the hike was sold out. I think it was still worth the trip and entry fee (4p pp). The reindeer were skittish but they surprisingly still let us pet them. Nobody else visiting at that time seemed to get as close so maybe we were lucky, idk. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

CAIRNGORM NATIONAL PARK REINDEER WALK: What an amazing experience to get up close and personal with these beautiful unique creatures who are both friendly and curious. The weather was typically Scottish with a mixture of rain and snow but as long as your prepared it is fine. The walk in is on a well maintained path until you get close to the herd when you will go cross country for a short bit. The group will take several breaks along the way. If your lucky enough to have Lotti and Tilly as your Reindeer Guides you will be well prepared for the interaction with the herd. They are both amazing guides and make the whole experience that much better! You can spend as much time as you like with the herd before heading back to the trailhead. Don't hesitate to book this experience as it will be a memorable one and well worth the effort!

What a great adventure, we had to park at bottom of hill to collect our tickets then drive about 5 mins to top to meet the guides. They guides were great, Carol was fantastic with the kids, showed us a nice photo of a baby reindeer and helped the kids with some hand feeding. My LG was not a fan of Holy Moly when she kicked a little looking for more... 🤣 The walk up the hill was a bit hard but once up wasn't too bad, bit soggy and some snow but just added to our experience. Overall we had a great time meeting the reindeer, we fed both Hobnob and Kipling 🦌 We learnt some interesting info from the guides and will hopefully be back in the summer.... 👍👍

Such a lovely experience. Hike to get up to the herd wasn't too hard, the guide was very knowledgeable and everyone we met was nice. You don't get to pet the reindeer but you can feel their soft noses when you feed them. Too cute!!

Fabulous experience! The hike is short, and they are right to say it’s uneven terrain. You end up going down and back up into the valley. Those who can’t handle climbing rock steps should consider this. The reindeer herders were friendly and knowledgeable! They answered many questions and casually discussed the reindeer in their care. So fun!

We came to do this end of August, it was such a great experience. The lady that took us was so knowledgeable and even helped us with a few great pictures. Would definitely recommend if your in the area but book in advance as it seems very popular and we can totally see why.

This was an absolute highlight of our trip to Scotland!! If you are ever in the area, this is a must do activity. We purchased our tickets in advance online, and followed the very clear directions for collecting our tickets and meeting up with the herders. The hike out to the reindeer is beautiful, hiking shoes are a must but the hike is very moderate. The herders are friendly, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job making it an educational and memorable experience. The reindeer themselves are absolutely magical. We could not recommend this experience more highly!!!

This was a good place to visit. They are maintaining the number of Reindeers. They have separated as 2 sets based on the count of deer (one set with 8 deer and another with 40 deer). Upon entry ticket cost, you will be allowed to visit either of the sets. The cost is a bit high for the location. Maintenance could have been better for the cost.

Amazing 20 minute walk with tour guide and group. Was able to feed them but not touch them as they would get scared. Lovely experience!

If you are ever in the area, or plan trip to Cairngorm park you should visit Cairngorm Reindeer herd and make a Hill trip. The herders are super friendly and they know everything you want to know about these wonderful animals. You will make a short and easy hike from parking place to the nearby hill where you will meet the herd. They are used to people so you can watch them close by, although they don't like to be touched. You will have a chance to feed them and the herders will answer all your questions. We had a great time and spend there well over two hours and we had a lot of fun. There is also an exposition right next to the visitor center with many interesting facts about Reindeer and the story how they were reintroduced to Highlands.

What an incredible experience on a beautiful day in The Highlands of Scotland!! Very informative. Easy hike to the pasture the reindeer hang out in periodically and of course the feeding opportunity is not to be missed. Directions were easy to follow and never were pressured to leave the lovely animals before you took all your pictures. Definitely would recommend this experience to others!

Fantastic experience. Quad bike trail was amazing especially the trail path. The bike was a bit heavy as compared to my previous experience of ATV and MTV at different locations but it was manageable. The price can be a little less. I paid £54 for one person per trail. My son enjoyed Little Landys ride a lot and the coordinator cum trainer was superb.

Lovely walk on loop trail through Rothiemurcus forest, passing by iron bridge where dog had plenty water to drink at River there. No seats or decent parts on walk round as would have been nice to sit and enjoy views hence knocking down 1 star. Really glad did as very peaceful and amazing scenery. Arrived early as very limited space at side of road to park. We arrived about 8.30am and 4 cars there with room for 2 more. Not a lot of wildlife seen unfortunately on this visit.

Our family of 3 did the quad trekking experience and loved everything about it! We had little to no experience riding quads and they taught us how to ride them, let us have a practice run, and continued to check up on us throughout the ride. The landscape was beautiful and the terrain was a mix of flat dirt paths, hills, and stream crossings. I would highly recommend this experience!

Booked the amazing falconry experience, relaxing pony trek, had hearty lunch at the barn and did the highland coo safari (the highlight of my trip).. booking experience was a breeze and staff were all super friendly & nice! I didnt drive so for the coo safari and the ranger let me ride in his car and we had a hand feeding session. So grateful for a wonderful day - many experiences checked off the bucket list :)

We had a wonderful time with the Ebony and Scott Axe throwing this morning. They were both super friendly and encouraging. A really fun hour in the sunshine. Also enjoyed a very wet and muddy but so brilliantly exciting morning Quad biking on Tuesday. Great leader!!

Beautiful area to visit! We arrived during Storm Eunice, so not the best drive up but the next day we had blue sky and beautiful snow-covered mountains. Just amazing!

What a fabulous time had! We booked TreeZone and Quads. Dan and his colleague were extremely helpful and Emma was great fun out on the quad bikes. Thank goodness for heated bike handles!! Will definitely be recommending to all who will listen. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

Amazing way to get out and about on some trails and see the ace scenery that the are has to offer. Our guide, Lynne, gave fantastic updates heading around the route with good photo opportunities and a nice video near the end. There was also a chance to get up close and personal with some highland cows during the ride!

Probably my favorite experience in my entire 2 week trip through the UK! Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We trekked through the most beautiful landscapes and ended up at an area filled with hairy coos!! Highly recommend.

We tried and quad bikes and the Hairy Coo Safari. An excellent service all throughout and guides were really nice. We loved it. The cafe though closes early which is very disappointing.

One of THE best experiences I have had. The falconers were fantastic and ensured everyone was included, very knowledgeable about all the birds, made the hours there fun and so enjoyable. The interaction to with the guardian dogs was so cute! Would highly recommend anyone in the area to invest in this unique experience

My 17yr old , sister and I are visiting Scotland with family to honour one of my dads last wishes, for us to see the country of his grandparents. This trek was a highlight of our visit! The staff were friendly and gave great directions. The pony’s were well trained and the tack comfortable. They even lent us riding boots as we had packed hiking footwear! As well, they supplied helmets (very important for a past ED Nurse!) the trek took us through a forest and a valley and was a fantastic way to see the countryside!! Well worth the visit!!

Did the quad bike trek. The guides were fantastic. Driving through the forrest and seeing the beautiful Mountain Views and being up close to the cattle was exactly what we were looking for.

We visited on a rainy weekday afternoon and it was lovely to sit inside, all cosy with the fire lit, listening to the rain on the roof. The staff were friendly and helpful, service prompt, and the food fantastic! Good sized portions too - I was disappointed not to have room for cake, as it looked delicious. We'll be back, next time we're in the area!

Oh what a perfect way to spend time on holiday. Such a wonderful experience in an amazing setting. My husband Tony and I really enjoyed quad biking, it was thrilling and I could not stop smiling. Ellie our instructor and guide was wonderful, so friendly and helpful.

Katie was our guide for the quad trekking and she made it a really enjoyable experience. We spent about 50 minutes on the quad bikes on the estate after the safety session. Riding the bikes are an experience in itself, so don't forget to look up and enjoy the world around you! It would be really good if there was an option for a longer session (not sure if it would be possible fuel-wise), because whilst it wasn't 'over before we knew it', we certainly would be happy to pay more to explore more. There was another guide (whose name escapes me, sorry) who was at the back of our group to make sure we were all riding safely and no one was left behind. An added bonus was that the guides took pictures and videos for us! I think the routes taken are weather and group dependent (ensuring that you're making good time). We went down the stream and managed to see a herd of highland cows (not guaranteed!). The gift shop closes at 4.30pm so bare that in mind if you're going on one of the later treks and wanted to visit that too. I would recommend this experience.

Got this experience for my Wife who loves cows. This was great value for the money. The experience for even myself was amazing. The guide was amazing as well, answered all the questions my wife asked. Was also very polite to everyone.

My partner, Phil and I (Debbie) had the pleasure of riding Foxy and Droops yesterday on a hack out around the countryside, which was stunning. Although I was quite an experienced rider, my partner was less so, so we opted to go on the walking hack, which was such a fabulous experience, made all the more fun by both Megan and her colleague, who led us all on William. The girls were so courteous and helpful and made everyone feel very welcome. The horses were extremely well behaved and Foxy, in particular, just went off my leg beautifully. Next time I’m up, I will be certain to come back and attend an intermediate hack, so I can experience a super canter, hopefully on Foxy. Such a super mare and an asset to your centre. Well done ladies. Keep up the good work and thank you once again for making it such an enjoyable experience for us both. Finally, the horses look so well looked after too. Onwards and upwards and look forward to seeing you again, hopefully, soon. 🥰🥰

We did the highland coo safari, the place was very helpful and accommodated letting us on the tour without a car and let us go with the ranger. The ranger was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the highland cows. We was able to fed the babies and one of the adult highland cows. Definitely recommend if you love highland cows.

What a lovely experience we had visiting the hairy coos! I would definitely recommend and am also considering a return visit soon to check out the other activities.

We had the most amazing time. Our kiddos are 3,5 and 7 but I truly believe there is something for all ages!!! We just wish we had more time there! We will be back.

We had a 💥 blast! Super experience! The instructor was very patient with my15 year old daughter, who was quite scared. But with every min of the excursion she was enjoying the ride more and more. Lovely views, and super fun.

We did the coo Safari, and it was worth every pound. The woman guiding us had much information about the Highland coos. We took a walk near the Loch as well and you have a path around the lake that take about an hour. Lots of other activities for family s with children. You can spend a few days here with all that's going on.

Hey had such a wonderful time! Daisy was so great and funny! She gave us a fun experience! The birds were very cool and fun to fly! Even tho it was alittle rainy it was well worth it! 10/10!

Had a fantastic quad trek around the estate especially in the picture perfect snow conditions. Bethan our guide was great, very informative and made sure everyone was safe throughout the trek. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this experience. My 12yr old loved it as did my wife and this was her first time on a quad bike so suitable for all skill levels from first timers to experienced riders.

If in doubt about booking this experience do not delay!! Daisy was our expert during the visit and was extremely informative answering any questions we had. The birds were obviously well looked after and all had their own personalities. Daisy made the experience fun and I would certainly recommend it if ever you have the chance. This experience was booked by my partner as a birthday surprise and it was simply incredible. The weather was spectacular and Jonny was amazing from start to finish. He made us both feel at ease and explained about and introduced us to all of the birds within the falconry. Jonny gave explanations about all the birds we met and worked with and knew so much about each and every bird. He was helpful, passionate and excellent with the animals. We’ll definitely be returning.

What a fantastic day. I had a health scare before Christmas 🎄 resulting in having to cancel the Ireland 🇮🇪 trip incase further treatment was needed. Aviemore was the next choice. The falconry experience is a MUST. OMG it was one of the most fantastic experiences that I would recommend. It was wet, cold, windy, hail and snow ❄️ all at the same time. The sun did come out when we left but the could not be better. Thanks to the team at Rothiemurchus , they certainly know what they are doing, and the healthcare of the birds 🦅 are second to none. Fantastic time at the Falconry Centre, thanks to Daisy for the experience. We loved flying and learning about all the birds, your knowledge is exceptional. So much fun too. We will certainly be back.

Lovely surroundings but when the small visitor centre is shut, there are no facilities here for refreshments or toilets. Recommend including the walk to Loch Mallache too.

Great nature reserve, and great walks along the lakes and through forest. Keep in mind, there is only one pair of ospreys to view in a nest on top of a tree. It cost 5 pound per adult to go to the centre and you can view the ospreys (if they are there) through telescopes and on a big screen via a camera near the nest. The nest is approx. 80-100m away so if you want to take photos you need a REALLY big telephoto lens and then the birds need to be standing up in the nest. You need a lot of patience and time to wait for the right moment. Beautiful surroundings though so take the time to watch the other birds and creatures.

Spent the day walking around and seeing many areas. Went to the visitor center and saw eagle, osprey on camera. New babies due any day. Joined RSPB on monthly basis after great conversation with Sophie

Visited with the dog unfortunately couldn't go into the rerve area as not to disturb the birds, (totally understandable) bit still some lovely walks around the area

A lovely reserve with some great little woodland walks. The visitor centre has a viewing platform with binoculars and live-feed cameras on the Osprey nest. There are some nice interactive pieces for children too.

Great to see live footage of the ospreys with their young. The voulenteers and staff are very knowledgeable and keen to give you as much information as you would like. They also give educational talks as well.

Beautiful place situated on beautiful Loch Garten. I last visited the Osprey viewing centre 46 years ago, I loved it then, and I loved it again. Fabulous HD footage of the Ospreys, Goshawks and Blue ties. The staff were very friendly and extremely informative, you can see that they are passionate about what they are doing. After spending a considerable amount of time watching the birds and learning from the staff we walked across to the Loch were our adult boys and their partners went swimming. Stunning views of the Loch, it was just peace itself. We stayed far longer than we had planned too, but the weather was glorious, it just had to be done.

Very nice place to have a wander. Great to see the Ospreys and white tailed Eagle on the webcam and through the telescope! Around the area there are lots of bite sized information boards with little facts on which are a nice edition to the walk. The visitor center is nice, however when it says it has sandwiches and coffee, it literally means a coffee machine and a mini fridge of packed sandwiches. Some nice gifts available and information. The toilets are composting ones, and they are the best I've seen that are like that, however perhaps a better hand washing system? Lots of wildlife and great views as well, would recommend a visit.

First time seeing a red squirrel! A lovely nature spot to view the Osprey nests and other birds too. Snacks and hot/cold drinks available at the centre. Great for kids.

Not a massive place. But well worth a visit. £5 for adults. Kids free. Small visitors center and a cute walk to it. Loads of small birds at the feeders but the main attraction is of course the osprey! Which is truly amazing to see.

Beautiful place able to park for free, loads of walks and cycle routes, we did a bit of both with a 6 mile bike ride and a 3 mile walk, we could have stayed the night but decided to move a little further south towards Aviemore.

Fabulous place for swimming and other watersports, lots of families enjoying the area, dog friendly for responsible owners, beautiful sunsets, great triathlon organized there by Dirty events. Good toilet facilities and camping sites

what a beautiful place... my Alivometer hits 100 here :-)... the beach, the mountains, the woods...... visited in September and it was very quiet, so we just roamed around for an extra hour or two than planned... didn't want to leave :-) even the drive from Inverness to this place was lovely....... or maybe the Highlands is just my kind of place....

Beautiful Loch, clean and tidy beach. Absolutely stunning view. A cafè at the beach to get something to drink or to eat. Unfortunately very very steep prices for instant coffees. They also have toilets at the beach which at times can take a wee while until it is your turn due to high demand. You need to pay for parking (£4 for all day). It can be paid in cash at the machines or via phone call or app. App didn't work for me and neither did phoning the provided number due to not having any network coverage around Loch Morlich. Would be beneficial for visitors and for the provider to make card payment possible or make it possible to purchase parking tickets at the cafè if you have no network or cash.

Really amazing here, very picturesque and the water is so calm and warm in July. The mountains and forest border beautifully. Plenty to do, renting from the nearby water sports guys.

A beautiful loch with breathtaking scenery, fresh water and sand. This loch is one of the cleanest and most respected. Its simply Gorgeous 😍. If you visit Loch Morlich please Respect it this is unique you won't be disappointed.

We spend most of the day on the trails and then passed Loch Morlich on a way back to Inverness. I am happy we made a stop there. The lake was gorgeous with clean water and sandy beaches. There is a cafe and you can borrow a watersports equipment if you want. Parking was a bit of an issue. We didn't have change so after running around the lake a bit we got a signal reception and could pay it online.

Amazing place! Photographers dream. Doesn’t matter if it is summer or winter, beautiful view. We were walking around the lake. Instagrammable place. Summer time busy. If you are there bring some feed for a ducks.

Best beers i've ever had. The lager is the one to go for most times, for its barley and wheaty taste.

A brewery with shop and limited tap. Sells a mixture of both Cairngorm and LochNess brewery beers (Cairngorm bough LochNess a few years ago), along with some merch' and, currently, some mugs with their bottle label art work.

I can't recommend the Cairngorm Brewery highly enough. Having stayed in Edinburgh a few years ago I happened to try the Nessies Monster Mash, a malty dark chestnut beer, brewed by the Cairngorm Brewery. Having drunk many dark ales in my time, Nessies Monster mash has a warm balance of light hopps balanced out by the satisfyingly malty chestnut flavour which is an absolute triumph and is second to none in my opinion. Since returning home from our trip to Edinburgh we have continued over the years to order many other different ales from the Cairngorm Brewery. Such as the Cairngorm IPA, Sheepshaggers Gold (which is an excellent golden Ale) and Trade Winds. The website is very easy to navigate even for a novice. They are very reasonably priced, and the postage is well worth it. When we have ordered even in bulk, its delivered within days. If you are an Ale lover then don't miss out, give the Cairngorm Brewery a go, you'd be a fool not too!!!!!

Enjoyed the "black gold" stout as one of the very best I've ever tasted. Full dark and creamy top. Caramel bittersweet base flavor and great after taste as well with hints of honey and sugar. Love it...

We had a great experience at TreeZone! Andy and Dan were excellent instructors. The whole experience was safe, enjoyable and exciting. Definitely an experience my kids will remember, and I’d recommend this as a great activity for all families.

My 10 year old son did this on his own and absolutely loved it. We just walked round the route with him and gave him a bit of encouragement every now and then. The staff were all really friendly and I felt completely at ease letting him go solo. I would highly recommend.

An impromptu visit on our way back from Glenmore but what an awesome experience. Our two girls (aged 9 and 11) were a little apprehensive at first, but the team were so friendly and supportive they had an amazing time! An extra thank you to the guy (sorry we didn’t catch your name but you’re in one of the photos below)who patiently helped our youngest daughter get around the course. She could have easily given up but with his help she managed to get around the easier course twice. Can’t wait to visit again when we’re next up in Aviemore.

Must be our eighth time here. Great staff, cool course and a good way to spend an hour. It’s HARD if you aren’t strong/fit enough though.

Great (aka terrifying) course, knees were knocking the whole way round but managed to surge through. Elena made everything clear and consise, easy to follow and felt completely safe. Nice to know the staff get to enjoy the course too - shout out to Finn for the record time. Cheers all!

I brought a school group of 12 kifs. We found it very safe, and the staff were reassuring and explained everything about the harnesses and systems. They also guided, helped and 'saved' more than one of my students who were too scared, or had got tired. We went today in quite wet conditions, but it was still fine to do.

Our kids had a great time (11&16) despite our youngest being anxious at the start she was put at ease and under no pressure by staff and they helped with advise and support around the course. After building up confidence on the smaller section they both opted to try the higher course and completed it within the 2 hour allocated slot. We were lucky with the weather as it had been wet in the morning but dried up. A really fun & challenging activity, highly recommended, and a big thanks to Andi for his ongoing encouragement! We’ll be back and recommend to others 😊👍

We had an excellent experience at Treezone as a family of 4. Children aged 11 and 9 - a brilliant challenge for us all! It is a beautiful location and we'll look forward to exploring more of Rothiemurchus. The instructors were very good with the children when the struggled with a couple of obstacles. I would highly recommend this adventure.

Fantastic place , staff were great, when you see what’s involved and staff levels needed there, for a safe experience, it’s excellent value for money, we were there around 1.5 hours, my daughter who is 11 loved it 😊

What a great experience! The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. The course is amazing, a couple of really challenging obstacles, but we made it. Well worth a visit, or two!

Treezone was amazing!! Andy was helpful, friendly and supportive at the beginning getting us into our harness and safety talk.giving tips and great with the kids, supportive of nervous parents! He was there throughout our way round. I am not great with heights but had gone on due to child loving the idea! I quickly found my fear was still real 🤣🙈 but Dan was around below to guide me through each station with encouragement and pointers. He didn't hurry me but also made sure I managed to 💪 smash each station once I was on it! I won't have got round without him! The was another helper on the larger trail (only my child/other children went on!) Who name I didn't catch but was also very helpful to guide the children through higher parts if they needed it. Safety at all times. Also they climb and check trail every day I was told so they all know the in and out of it too! Overall a 10/10 for cost and experience! We were lucky to get lovely weather and autumn 🍂 leaves colours with sun coming through too ✨️❤️👌!! (Especially as it had been storm/rain on run up) Check out other element there too. We borrowed bikes the next day and staff equally helpful. Will definitely return!! 💯 Our first time to aviemore and a great 1st and 2nd day to the hols!

This week my 14 and 12 year old children returned to Treezone for the 3rd time. They loved the challenge yet again. The instructor was very enthusiastic and helpful. This is a super activity for adventure seekers.

So much fun! The instructors were great, always felt safe whilst still getting to push ourselves. Even good in the drizzle 😁

It's a must! We went as a family of 4, with no experience, but we had an excellent time, thanks to the instructors' patience and great sense of humour (Danny, Chris and Andy). Would highly recommend and defo will return!!!

This is a good place for tourist first time in Aviemore want to know more information about this town. Very2 helpful staff.

Awesome recommendation from Graham for a day hike (that wasn't already highlighted on official guides) to the Ryvoan Bothy and the Meall a’ Bhuachaille. As promised, the reward after the climb is an incredible view on some of the Cairngorms mounts. I'd definitely recommend to stop by and ask for advice or to check your hiking plans with you.

A friend of mine lost a bag and the people were just amazing! They helped us out so nicely and also recommended us some really awesome places afterwards (like the Reindeer Centre), which were great to visit! Strongly recommend going there :) We got a free guide and purchased a pretty helpful map, plus we got a lots of flyers and maps based on their recommendations for free as well! They even checked on us to see, if we got our bag back! Lots of love x

Superb service. We asked about walking and they were excellent and super helpful. I had planned Ciarn Gorm but they gentle suggested other walks first then told me about it and the temperature. I'll be following some of their suggestions instead. I don't fancy -1 degrees.

Poor. Spent more time giving me doom and gloom warnings than they did Helping me enjoy the fantastic local area which is really nice. From "don't build a fire" to "don't camp anywhere as the estates don't like it". I left with a bad quantity photocopy map that was hard to read. All I wanted was a map and to enjoy the natural beauty of the lovely local area. Avoid talking to staff and grab a load of maps and go work it out for yourself.

Really helpful if is your first time at Aviemore. The people is really friendly and helpful, they give us really good tips and ideas for our stay.

My friend and I were in Aviemore without a car, we went into the Tourist Information in Grampian Road several times, to get bus, and train times, and information on things to do, without exception, we had the most polite , and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly reccommend anyone travelling to Aviemore to pop in for help and advice. Many thanks to each and everyone of them. From Ayr, and Bishopbriggs.

Fabulous golf course well worth playing. The course is beautifully maintained and every hole is a challenge. The scenery is stunning and the small clubhouse is very welcoming. Greens play true and fair, definitely worth a visit.

Great little 9 hole course. The fun starts after hole 3 when it goes up and down the hills with beautiful views to the Cairgorm Mountains. Warm welcome by the lady in the club house and some of the members on the course. Highly recommended gem.

A nice little 9 hole course (£15 for 9) in Carrbridge. Some blind holes off the whites but it's in pretty good nick and there are some tricky ones where dropping a club will help keep your ball out of trouble. Note the position of the markers as are all the flags are of varying heights!

Brilliant views, well maintained course with a unique variety of holes. Brilliant, friendly service at the clubhouse. We enjoyed a tasty homemade lunch with cakes to finish a fab round.

Tough, tricky 9 hole course. Stunning background of the Cairngorms on some of the holes. Well done to all the staff that look after this course, greens were superb. Well worth a visit. Absolute bargain.

Beautiful loch

Unbelievably stunning, definitely make time for this one on your trip to Scotland. A there and back trail, I’d recommend packing a sandwich and then sitting by the water and enjoying the view.

Easy walk up to the Loch and beautiful view when you get there. Can take a well marked route from the visitor centre and recommend following the path a bit further to the bothy.

Just gorgeous - fairly accessibility friendly blue path up the Loch from the visitor centre car park. Good start if you want to do a bit of a longer trek up to the Ryvoan bothy or even to do Meall a Buchaille from here. Local legends surround the loch and you can feel the serenity as you approach, even on the most overcast of autumn days.

The loch is greener than it looks in photos! A simple (and joyously flat!) 45min walk from the reindeer centre 💚

It really is lovely seeing these old pieces of history still standing. There is free parking on the street then you make your way down some steps to a viewing platform so you can get those great shots. If your passing through definitely stop and have a look. It's so picturesque 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Dozens of these bridges used to dot the countryside of the Highlands but this one has a viewing platform. Looking lovely in the last week of May with it's annual display of gorgeous Fairy Foxglove

Visited on a very dark and wet night. Not happy with the photos I had taken so will be visiting again soon in better conditions. Other than that the viewing platform is easily accessible, with a great view of the bridge itself. Well worth it if your passing the area

Great place for a rest during a long journey. Free to use toilets, parking and has a park and playing field. We loved the wood carving of the bridge! Very detailed and artistic. We also enjoyed spotting the other wood carvings outside nearby homes.

Really interesting piece of history, especially when you think about the tools, or lack of, that they had when they made the bridge. The humpback design is interesting, possibly to give it more strength. Would definitely recommend a trip to see it, however you can only look at it, you are unable to go onto the bridge as it is old, really old.

Ready to be amazed at this historical bridge that connected between 2 roads which helps locals travel between each area.

Quaint historical bridge from 17th century, apparently the oldest surviving bridge in Scottish Highlands. Looking at it in person, there must have been some very skilled cart drivers to get their wagons and horses over it. It's definitely worth looking at and there's a cute little rock waterfall tumbling underneath. There's a lovely river walk on the north side of the river that takes you for about 1.5km to a footbridge over the river and back down the other side through some fields and woods and back into the village. About 40 mins to complete, we saw lots of birds 🐦. The village has a few cafes to choose from and is overall a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours, free parking at the furthest end with toilets, you can donate to the village, it's only £2.

Nice little bridge to look at when you are around. We have got a lot of information upfront from our guide. For sure worth a short stop to have a look at a piece of history.

Not much to see! There were three Bridge spans but one washed away in a floor! Amazing piece of work I suppose when you consider it's all done without equip.ent and the amount of technology we see today! Worth a stop, and then head on to the nearby distillery

Highly recommend checking this out! Located in Carrbridge, you can access a lower view point down stairs and I climbed down to the river/rocks for a better angle to take some pictures. Be cautious if you decide to go see the actual bridge, a lot of people wanted to climb over and go to the top of it but I felt like that isn’t too much. A fragile piece of history from 1717

There is a free parking spot nearby. Then it's a short walk to the bridge itself. We then made a short hike around the River and it was a pleasant walk.

Was driving through, saw the bridge, and had to stop. We parked in a car park and walked a few minutes to the bridge. The bridge looks amazing, though extremely fragile! Great piece of history.

This is a bit of a surprise when you walk up on it. It's very unassuming, but when you turn to look at it, it is very beautiful.

It's quite hard to believe that this was able to carry pack horses and carts over its spine. It looks very steep but when you see what it once looked like you can then start to believe that the only way to cross, was by this bridge. An amazing structure and with bursting autumnal colours in the foreground just adds to its beauty.

Really great views from the constructed platform as well as the pavement up top. There is a hole in the boards at the bottom of the stairs that should be repaired though for safety. Especially for little feet.

Great place to forget the hassle of everyday life by immersing yourself in the natural world. Steep climb to the viewpoint well worth the effort - can be turned into a circular walk if you are a confident, experienced walker - it's not high-lighted on the list of trails for good reason but very rewarding if you are up to the task.

Lovely hike to summit the 4337th highest peak in the Cairngorms. It’s just under 4miles if you park at the hostel. Steep in some places, but not bad.

Interesting woodland with plenty of wildlife and in autumn, fungi. There is no access on the A9, entrance is thru the Youth Hostel on 25 Grampian Road. Do not follow the directions in google maps.

The walks are nice but ruined by motorway noise. There are different paths, I did the purple one and views of the opposing hills are mostly covered by birch trees. The walks around Uath Lochans just a few miles south are easier, with beautiful unspoiled views of nature and no noise pollution.

Nature at one of its best well maintained the walks are beautiful lots to do for the kids adventure gruffalo walk please take some paper and do some crayon rubbings of the sign posts you'll see what I mean when your there

Lovely walk to the top with expansive views at the viewpoint

We visited this nature reserve three times during the warm days of September 2023. The scenic view trail is by far the most demanding and most rewarding. Views during the ascent were good preparation for the summit, which was stunning. I imagine it could be much more challenging in wet or icy conditions.

Fantastic walk to the summit. 1hr 15min up, 45min down, on a dry August day. Great views over Aviemore from the lookout, keep going to get to the top. Path is easy to follow - through beautiful woodlands then opens up towards the top. Not too challenging, but challenging enough for us!

Stunning park and mountains. Well worth a visit as it is full of life, both in terms of plants as well as animals. On the less common paths it is wise to be somewhat carefull.

Beautiful walks for all abilities, great views over Aviemore and lovely wildlife. If you time it right you can watch the steam train set off in the distance. Not accessible by road, make sure to walk or cycle in.

I had read that much of this path is cycleable, and tried to cycle the section from Boat O' Brig to Garmouth, but although the section I rode was decent tarmac, I found it seriously challenging. I wouldn't recommend doing it with children under 12, as there were two very steep climbs. And the section from Fochabers to Garmouth had a "Road closed" sign on Wednesday 11th April. I did continue the ride from Garmouth to Portknockie, but although this route was described as the Speyside way it was quite far from the river! And some sections were not very pleasant because of a poor quality path surface in places, plus the usual loose dogs a-plenty, and also a very rough stony (and muddy) part just between Findochty and Portknockie - I came off when my tyre slipped. There were some nice sea views, but if you are doing the sections I rode, then I would recommend a good mountain bike only - don't do it on a hybrid with thinner tyres! I was disappointed - having travelled 200 miles because the Sustrans "Cycling in Scotland" book described the route as "a Moray Delight"! Hmm. Not sure that description fits.

A great place to go if you're coming to the speyside area and wanting to find out more about events going on in the area as well as pointers to which places you should visit. I'm pretty sure it's only open seasonally and may not be open in the winter months
