Absolutely outstanding place rich in history and lessons that everyone should learn and know. Here is the place where you will find the roots of this town and the legend that gave the town its name: Christchurch. The building itself is magnificent. We were fortunate to visit the upstairs museum for only 50p each. The man gave us an insight into the place and even showed us a secret door into the floor and how the chandelier was anchored into the ceiling. Impressive are also the hundred years old flags and their original colours. The stained glass is also pretty impressive and mesmerising. Definitely, a place to visit.

We turned up at Christchurch priory right at the end of the day. No entrance fee although you can give a donation (and they have those suggested donation 5 quid tap things). We had a quick wonder about, with as much time as the kids would give us, before heading back outside and down the walks outside. Beautiful place!

Been holidaying in Christchurch for years and finally decided to pop into the Church… wow it really is wonderful inside including the beautiful stained glass windows. Outside the priory is just a beautiful walk, so much character. There’s the Mausoleum, a walk along Covent Walk along the river with few ducks and swans and the priory gardens with historical sculpture.

During a walk through Christchurch, we naturally also took a look at the church. Of course, it is not quite as spectacular as the famous cathedrals in the surrounding area. But it has a special flair. As soon as we entered, we heard the sound of a piano. Someone was playing so beautifully that we sat down for a few minutes to listen to the "private concert". It made the visit special. Thanks to the unknown pianist.

Definitely worth the visit I felt a spiritual awakening here in the times of old dating back around 400 years old stone brickwork and the wooden doors has a sense of nostalgia to it grand old stained-glass windows add to it and the staff on duty here are happy to answer all your questions too Spent a good hour here and Christchurch Definitely has its place in time

An awesome historic building, with a great coffee shop and shop. Lovely welcoming people. If you're into choirs, organ and classical concerts it often has a great program running. Worth a visit if you're in Christchurch.

There is no entrance fee. Just give a donation. Very knowledgeable chap greeted us at the door. He is on duty on Thursdays. Unfortunately, we waited forty minutes to see the back half due to communion taking place. If we had known, we would have visited at a different time. There are very clean toilets in the right, plus a cafe (which was unfortunately closed due to the holidays)

Fantastic piece of history and architecture. It's such a beautiful place and so very peaceful. There are so many scenic things also to photograph near the priory you really are spolit for choice. Parking is very reasonable, I paid £3.20 for 4 hours of parking. The Cark park isn't massive so on seasonal days, get there early if you have mobility problems and want to be parked close by. There is a small cafe and plenty of places to sit outside on sunny days. Michael.

Beautiful, ancient church with notable features, which can be pointed out by volunteer guides. Donations to church maintenance are welcome. There's also a small café and a gift shop. Nearby are the Norman House and Tower.

Wonderful historical place to indulge yourself in with its mesmerising internal and external features which is an engineering marvel. A great place to learn about the past and go back into history. The garden adjacent and leading back of the church is also a hidden gem on a beautiful summer day.

Two visits in two days! Last night was a Christmas Carol Service. As a venue I doubt there is anywhere in the world that can match the Priory. The choir were wonderful and the lighting was excellent. Today we took our grandson to see the Snowman, it was spectacular so typically English and festive. The orchestra were excellent and very colourful in their Christmas outfits . The young lady who did the solo of the Snowman was brilliant, well done to her. I think the only thing that could have made it better was to have a huge fall of snow ❄️ maybe next year.

The priory is a beautiful place with considerable history. Located in a beautiful situation with walks to the harbour and the high street. They also often put on events like concerts and fayres and have developed a lovely cafe offering good food at reasonable prices.

Priory is fascinating with a rich history. We were so lucky on the day of our visit as the Organist was practicing for a concert and the sound from the organ is simply spectacular. There is a museum, gift shop and cafe plus plenty of grounds to wander. A must see if you are in Christchurch.

My daughter got married there. Lovely place to have a wedding ceremony. If you're in Chirst Church, it's worth a visit. Beautifully kept a great cafe with outside seating. Beautifully kept gardens.

Adventure Wonderland is a charming spot with a delightful indoor experience, perfect for families, especially during the winter season when outdoor attractions are closed. The indoor activities are not only captivating but also a lot of fun for the kids. The highlight was definitely the special touch of Santa giving presents, adding a magical festive vibe.

Absolutely wonderful place! A brilliant day out for all the family. Our daughter has additional needs and Alice was simply amazing with her, even taking her for a walk around the park. Every member of staff were so friendly and made my daughter and all of us feel incredibly valued. By far our favourite theme park! A huge thank you to everyone. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has children with additional needs.

Great park for uder 10s. Almost all free once you are in. Not every ride open in low season. Lots to do. Indoor soft play. There are wet rides so take a change of clothes if you are travelling long distances home

Really lovely park for younger children. It's focus is on under 10s with a couple of bigger rides including the pirate ship and the baby coaster the Run Away Train. My 4 year old loves it as she can go on most rides alone, it even has a baby log flume that's not too high and only goes round one. There I'd lots of things to do here, Rides, large play park and a hedge maze. Almost everything is included in the price including the Crazy Golf and character meet and greets. There is a large indoor soft play and theatre shows across the day including a interactive dance with the stars show, so plenty to do it if the weather turns. The lovely team from Pony Palace also run pony rides in the animal area at £4 each which both my children enjoyed it. From an accessibility point of view, the walkways around the park are all wheelchair accessible but the rides aren't set up with accessibility in mind so you'd need to be able to walk a few steps to access most rides. From a sensory viewpoint, avoid the soft play as it is very noisy and has air cannons going off too. The park doesn't have an official queue assist scheme because most of the time the queues are 10/15 mins or less. However, on bust days they will accept access cards and the ride exit but this is at the discretion of the ride operators and not widely known about within the staff. The best selling point is the staff, they all seem to love being there, happy and entertaining and will go out of their way to help. Great park for under 10s with things to keep older siblings occupied.

First time going and was lovely had my reservations but it proved me wrong. My 3 year old loves it there and keeps asking to go back. Was a 3rd birthday party we went on, the birthday host was really bubbly and upbeat and he made made a fantastic host. Park rides were great my son loved every ride and was a lovely hot day.

Visited with our 17 month old grandchild. It was great fun and kept us all entertained for the afternoon. Sweet theatre show with singing & dancing, a few rides to go on, a pony petting area, a maze and places to eat, drink or enjoy your own picnic. Definitely geared up to younger children (I'd say under 8s?) as I imagine older ones would quickly be bored. For us, it was a perfect day out while in the area.

16/8/23. It is our first time in Adventure Wonderland and our children loves it! My 6 years old daughter went to all the rides and she had so much fun! Especially the horse riding! Then my 1 year old boy enjoyed the Theatre were they were dancing and singing with Alice, Queen of hearts, and the rabbit. It was a nice place for the whole family and not too crowded. The staff were friendly, and helpful whenever you asked them. The toilets were clean, foods has reasonable price and lots of free parking. I highly recommended 👌 👍 and keep up the good work Adventure Wonderland! 👏 👏👏

We had a wonderful afternoon at Adventure Wonderland. The rides were really fun and my 3 year old had an awesome time as well as us adults. The petting zoo and horse/pony rides was really great value for money and the staff were really friendly and patient. We grabbed some lunch which was nice, and what you'd expect. The maze was really fun and we had a good time navigating our way out. My toddler really enjoyed the ride on tractors (make sure you have plenty of change with you!) some of the park is a little outdated but overall, was incredibly impressed with the activities on offer. Would highly recommend

Absolutely incredible, way way better than I imagined. My son is under 2 and his first time in soft play. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more (or was more knackered)

A super fun day out. So it may not be as polished as larger theme parks but the heart and character of this place really shines through. We have been twice now and both my daughters absolutely loved the day and where able to go from ride to ride with no waiting, meet the actor staff (Alice, Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts) and have soft play. The actors are so great with the kids and my daughter followed Alice around asking loads of questions. The rest of the staff are so polite and always willing to help. Would definitely recommend for a family day out.

Really nice place Soft play is so big only got two ice creams that were nearly £6 but that's what everywhere is like these days. We tend to come here just afew times a year as it is abit expensive but plenty to do for all ages !

We had a great day out! The kids could easily spend the entire day here - after the rides and the hedge maze we had a picnic. A few more rides and then on to the large indoor soft play area (witg cafe). Adventure Wonderland is great for smaller kids as all rides are available to them - unlike some larger theme parks that may only have a few suitable rides.

Plenty of pay and display parking. Lovely grounds. Nice to walk around, beautiful views. Castle itself is very nice with the tea rooms. When we came Saturday entrance to the castle was closed due to wedding.

Couldn't go in castle as only opens Sunday to Thursday and we visited on Saturday. Wedding taking place at time of visit. Surroundings looked nice and well kept. Will return to go on castle one day. Coffee/food van in grounds.

Wonderful exterior and beautiful grounds along the seafront. Unfortunately, there is not much left of the interior due to a couple of fires in the sixties. They do really cater well for kids, plenty of activities, dress up, and trails. Lovely gift shop and helpful staff. There is a car park for a small charge. Historic house members can enter free, no booking required.

Just a wander round the grounds and take in the views over to the Isle of Wight are worth a visit. Enter the castle and be intrigued by its fascinating story. Friendly staff help you understand the story and history of Highcliffe Castle. Excellent value and a great place to visit. Plenty of parking and at time of our visit just 70p to park for 3 hours bargin!!

Well worth a visit. Great afternoon at Highclffe castle's musical event by the Big Swing Band. Grounds are lovely and staff were helpful and friendly, special mention to Grace and Kelly. Grace being the wedding planner. Beautiful setting for celebrations, functions etc. There's also the delightful tearoom.

Highcliffe Castle is beautifully located above the beach, accessed via interesting steep steps straight onto the sand or the safer gradual slope path option. Lovely gardens with a cafe.

Really defines the term "Castle", the minute we entered in the premises my 4yr son ask us, "Where is the God save Queen?", he was asking to see Queen. :( 😞 Castle is in a very good location. It is on the main road, ample parking space, and surrounded by beautiful garden and forest walkways. It is at the same cost as the Mudford Quay, 6min away in car from there. Has a better sea access and little forest, so it adds more charm to seaside. We didn't get chance to visit inside, as it was close the time we arrived. But took lots of pictures and enjoy the quiet Castle environment. There was wedding in the castle that day. Of course, my son has seen Princess 👸 though. Visit whenever you get time. Wonderful experience.

I highly recommend visiting this castle, it's really beautiful. Visiting time is about 1 hour 30 minutes if you want to see and read everything carefully, if something is not described and you are interested in more information, very nice ladies work there who are very happy to provide you with information. after sightseeing, you can have a very nice time going down to the beach, which is very long and very nice

It's such a shame this place was destroyed by fire... it must of been spectacular. More should be done to restore some of the rooms to their former glory.

Lovely old building to explore. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. It was once the home of shopkeeper Harry Selfridge (Selfridge's)and his wife Rose who are both buried in a nearby church.

What can I say about this place! Amazing history and helpful staff. As a wedding photographer I see things slightly differently, I love the light in the ceremony room, the option of going to the sea is a perfect escape for portraits and if you're lucky enough to get e sunset the castle catches the colours perfectly. A truly magical fairytale wedding venue.

Visited castle recently and was told bluntly twice that it was closed by two ladies, felt I was being told off turning up there. Need to change approach to visitors, as I feel I wasn't welcome and won't be returning.

Nice location next to the beach, shame the only drinks facility is a van with a long queue. In essence your visiting a shell of a building that local council have worked to secure the external envelope with little of the internal fixtures and fittings retained due to its history in the 20th century. Its a great looking venue and award winning location for weddings and functions but its not a country house full of great interiors and fixtures (like many NT facilities)

Highcliffe Castle is a lovely and unique place to visit, very interesting history and different to other places we have visited because of the fire that took place there. Don't expect rooms with lavish furniture and paintings but what they've done here is really interesting showing how the rooms would've looked with photos and imaging. There are guides on hand with lots of interesting facts and information. It also has a beach, which was a nice surprise. There are tea rooms there too but we didn't try anything there as they were quite busy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Large carpark immediately next to rather steep access by slopes and steps to exceptional beach serviced by good footpath along a huge stretch of sand and pebble beach flanked one side by cliffs. I thoroughly enjoyed it and my dogs loved it. Refreshments and toilet facilities available.

Pretty nice beach. Green cliff top where you can sit and see the view or go down to the beach. Rocky Sandy beach the kids liked it. Parking all day for about £9.60. 5-7 mins walk from car park give or take.

Love this beach. The car park is right at the top of the cliff. You can walk along the cliff or go down to the beach. A bit limited for dogs as between May and September you can only walk them on the beach between groins 8-12, but there are still lots of paths you can use.

Lovely place to visit. Parking close by is expensive in peak season. Steep path down to the beach could be awkward for less mobile people or if you are planning to take a lot of items to the beach.

Parking is available, no need to book, you can pay onsite. There is a good restaurant on the hill and Ice cream shop🍦 👍🏼 water temperature was around 18 degrees, and the beach was great! Highly recommend on a nice sunny day!

We loved this, great autumn stroll. Walked past the castle as closed on Fridays/Saturdays for events. Had a wonderful ice cream and sat on the bench watching the Wind surfers.

Long stretch of pebble beach with easy access from the very large car park at the top. There were a lot of dogs running around when we visited. The beach was very clean.

Such a lovely beach, summer or winter! Dog friendly all year with exception to a few areas, ideal for walks with them!

Spend the day on Highcliffe Beach on Father's Day with my husband and our son. We absolutely loved it there, although it was our first time. It was so beautiful there for a Sunday walk in the family and nice sandy areas where you could stay on your towel and have a sun bath after swimming . The parking is a bit pricey, but there are not many other options close to the beach. After all, it was worth it 👌

My grandsons 10th birthday wanted to go fossil hunting. So the whole family travelled down from Southport to the Holmsey camping site in the New Forest for the weekend. Went to Highcliffe Beach. We had great time, Henry even found a few little fossils. He was made up. Great time

Toilets let it down. Lovely long beach. But the public toilets attached to the cafe building are horrific! They need regular maintenance / cleaning. The cubicle I went in had, 'help' written in faeces on the wall! No toilet roll. Door into toilets is heavy & shuts itself, with no ventilation & you do not want to touch that door handle if they are writing that on the walls!

Great beach, with a choice of pebbles or sand. Pebbles to the right, sand to the left, as you look out to sea from the car park. Cafe and restaurant, with bar, at the hilltop car park area. Lots of parking available (small charge), lots of 'pub' style benches at the hilltop, and ice cream further down.

Massive breach spreading everywhere with lovely view and has loads of beach huts with shops and restaurants, ice cream, cafe's and more! Very beautiful and recommend coming here! It has a Quay not too far just a walk down.

Pretty small beach with a great view of the Isle of Wight and coast. Expensive but good restaurant. Sandy beach and looks like good swimming. You can take a ferry across to the sandbank and the nature reserve. There is a fish and chip take away and shop and toilets. Car parking is close.

We had a lovely time at Avon Beach. The sand is mixed with pebbles but it's not overly pebbley meaning the kids still had loads of fun! Theres a shop, coffee shop, fish and chip shop, ice cream shop, a park just off the beach, crabbing just down a little further and a pub, basically everything you want! It's not a beach the kids can get deep in the water and closer to the sea it has lots of pebbles, thats the only reason im marking it down as it hurt my feet 🙄😂. But otherwise it is a lovely beach! Will definitely return!

Wow one of the best beaches i have been too, really nice clean and sandy, parking can be a challenge but you can park in the Avon Run and its a small walk up the stairs, if you do get parking in the main car park you are a step away from the beach! Plenty of shops to get tea/coffee and all you need closeby.

Beautiful place. Spacious. You can enjoy the peace of the sea without being disturbed by other turists (I visited during the Jubelee). There is a café there, a reastaurant an a chipy. Toilets on site too

Great beach, excellent for crabbing, The Noisy Lobster and its outlets are good. Watch the currents though.

Avon Beach is wonderful place to visit, it’s easy access to the beach and promenade from various points, such as Highcliffe Castle carpark through to Mudeford Quay make it a firm favorite with locals and traveling visitors all year round for just a good walk to a day on the beach it caters for everyone’s tastes, the views are spectacular from the Isle of Wight the Needles to Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Spit enchanting with its very special beach huts, Avon Beach is always a friendly place and is always worth a visit ,it will always be a place favorite of mine.

Avon Beach I visit most days walking the dog... for us its a few minutes walk, but there is plenty of parking. Great sea views and looking over to Highcliffe, Barton and Milford on sea. The Isle of Wight is also in view here. The local restaurant is The Noisy Lobster... it comes recommended, and summer time we enjoy fish and from their stall.

Parking at busy times can be a challenge. Double yellow lines everywhere beyond designated car park. (There are a couple of other c/parks indicated off Bure Lane which access the beach but away from the cafe/restaurant on actual Avon beach.) Short walk at Avon Beach onto sand immediately by the car park, without obstacles - steps etc making disabled access good. The sandy beach is long and there's plenty of room away from the concentration of crowds by a restaurant/cafe and toilets. There was an ice cream van providing pastries also, possibly tea/coffee - can't be certain. Good views of the western tip of the Isle of Wight. Views towards Mudeford and Hengustbury further along the beach make it an interesting vantage point and good for walking if swimming not your thing.

Lovely place to walk along the beach huts on a cold day and brilliant for paddle-boarding or kayaking as the sand bank means it doesn’t get too deep. It was absolutely beautiful at sunset as the white cliffs of the Isle of Wight turned pink. There is also a cute little cafe.

Lovely little museum, a must for any aeroplane enthusiasts both young and old. You can sit in some planes and watch the planes take off from Bournemouth airport. The gentlemen who volunteer there are very friendly and helpful. A nice little find.

Nice selection of old aircraft. Very appealing to all ages. Some aircraft are available to sit in. Kids loved pressing all the buttons and sitting in the pilot seats. The staff is very knowledgeable, you can tell that they care about the exhibits very much. There is a nice little gift shop, which is the entrance and exit to the exhibition. They now have a little coffee shop. And there are toilets at the premises too. This place is right next to the extra parking for the airport. So make sure you register your car for free parking.

Very nice place to visit with kids. It looks small but you can easily spend 2-3 hours exploring various planes and cockpits

If you like aviation then you'll love this place. There is a wide range of planes, helicopters and other machinery. About 10 of these you can climb in to, click switches, pretend to fly, be cabin crew. They have a couple of flight simulators that are great for copying the pilot and also testing your dexterity (the kids are better at this!!!). We were two families of 6 and 4 and were looked after amazingly well. £7 for an adult and £3 per child ... cheap as chips. There are soft drinks and snacks there too. All very cheap. There are also 3 viewing galleries to watch the planes land and take off from Bournemouth Airport. All in all a really well run pace, friendly staff and a chance for everyone to be their inner child.

The gentlemen were very knowledgeable about the exhibits & we spent ages in the Training plane watching planes landing & taking off. A very interesting experience. My grandson loved it!

Excellent few hours out with my 4 yr old. He loved seeing the planes and getting up close to them. Also much thanks to Eric (or Fred?! - can’t quite remember his name), for going to get a key to unlock the flight deck of the 737 and BAC one-eleven so my son could get a closer look. Thanks and will certainly come back again!

Great little museum. It's outside small and contained but there's lots of planes that you can actually climb into, sit in and pretend to fly, which is a big fat yes from my 10 yr old Maverick Top Gun wannabe! A big yes from the 43 yr old me too, you can sit in a plane and put your seatbelt on and feel like you are going to Spain without all the packing and check in malarkey beforehand!! Great little day out. The volunteers who work there have great passion and info. There's also a viewing platform to watch actual planes taking off and landing across the road at Bournemouth airport which is always exciting too! Would recommend. One adult and one child cost £10 total.

great little place to have a walk round with kids as get to go inside some of the planes and stuff lots of info about everything there. just a shame its not bigger. keep a eye out on youtube for neo adventures video of it

Nice trip for the kids,we spent over two hours climbing into aircraft and various vehicles,you are encouraged to let them climb around and explore,also right next to Bournemouth Airport so you can watch the planes take off.

Lovely little museum with plenty of aircraft you can explore and sit in. Much better than just looking from the outside.

Absolutely magnificent few hours spent in this museum while burning some time I had waiting for a flight home. The highlight for me is definitely the Vulcan, altho it's not a complete aircraft its amazing having the chance to see the cockpit and other parts. In reference to parking it is free just make sure you enter your car reg into the machine at the reception if you fail to do this you may be charged a hefty fine by the owners of the area.

Fabulous little museum! Unlike any other aviation museum I've been to, you're allowed and encouraged to climb in and get hands-on with most of the exhibits - flick those switches and press those buttons! It's a wonderful little gem directly opposite Bournemouth Airport... all the scheduled flights in and out of the airport are listed daily as you enter the museum, so it's a great place to sit and watch aircraft take-off and landing too thanks to the raised viewing platforms giving a good view to even the youngest of aviation buffs. It's also an absolute bargain to get in, £7 for adults and £3 for children, and there's free parking too for visitors to the museum. I'll certainly be going back! 👍🏻

Loved it! Visited with my 5-year-old and husband. We all love aircrafts and have an aviation background. This place was fab because you could touch, climb in, and explore everything. We spent 3 hours here and only left because we were passing through. They sell a very small selection of drinks, so make sure to bring your own. It's very no frills but we loved that. Gentlemen running it was very pleasant. Next to Bournemouth Airport, which is very quiet but we saw a few planes land and take off. Checked times on flight radar. Tickets clean and free parking. Highly recommend.

Lovely collection of some very historic aircraft. Well preserved and very accessible. I love the fact you can sit in the flight deck of these beauties. They have used the space available very effectively. The volunteers are really friendly and informative, I am a member of an aviation society at East Midlands and these folks are cut from the same cloth. Well done all you should be proud of your little gem.

Fantastic! We visited in the morning with a curious 2 years old. So much to do and see. Planes, helicopter, gore engines and a bus. Viewing platforms where you can watch takes off and landings at the Bournemouth airport. The team is amazing! We are looking forward to visiting again.

Absolutely wonderful place. The volunteer staff are helpful and friendly and the place has lots of aeroplanes that you can actually climb into the cockpit. It's a fantastic day out for all ages and it's not boring or just for anoraks 😀 They also have platforms so you can watch the aeroplanes from Bournemouth airport and one where you can hear the control tower. A flight simulator, bus and fire engine to go on too.

My partner and I attended here for a snowboarding taster lesson at only £10 each for the hour.... Amazing price for the time, equipment, support and training you receive! 🏂 The establishment itself is well laid out lovely and clean.. Plenty of parking and they even have an Alpine bar! Adult and private lessons also available along with skiing and ringos. Such a fun, good day out for the adults and the kids!

5 stars purely for the park and pirate ship. Its a day out by itself if you have kids! Trampolines, zip line, interactive giant pirate ship, obstacle courses and climbing walls. Sure all the snow related stuff is great and everything but have never actually managed to drag my kid away from the play area!!

Friendly service. The kids and I enjoy it. Not the longest run. The artificial track is not in the best condition. The chicken wrap and nachos are good. The vending machines are useful for a quick drink. The ski and snowboard hire are of high quality boards and skis bit boots are only in "fair to poor " condition. Burton snowboards and Salamon skis. Rossignol ski boots. These were a pleasent surprise. Overall...we'll keep going back. Its a nice environment for the kids to learn.

We went to Snowtrax's for our granddaughter's seventh birthday party. It was a great place for the kids with a lot of adventure activities. We were lucky that the weather was good so the party of around 30 children went well they all had a great time and enjoyed the party food around Large rustic table which which is under a sheltered in case it does rain. There is plenty of parking and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Good fun for the kids who went on the ringo's and the pirate ship adventure Park. It was a bit of a rip off that parents also had to pay to go into the adventure park... even though you could claim it back on a drink in the bar... which invariably meant you have to put a little money towards the cost of.

Went with my 2 daughters and their friend, they loved it, we had so much fun, definitely going back.

This place is amazing, especially for our little adventures and active monkeys. Affordable and staff are so helpful and kind. The park at the bottom keeps on improving which is great. The obstacle course keeps kids (and adults) entertained for a long time. The adults entey price can be exchanged for a bar token to get a nice hot drink for the cold days/nights. All in all, for any budget this is a great place to go for all!

First time visit, staff are really friendly, site is well organised, weather wasn't great but all make up well by a lovely staff team. Looking forward to go back in Summer.

Went to the alpine park yesterday and had the best afternoon! There's balance beams, bridges, swings, trampolines, zip wires, climbing walls and a big pirate ship for kids to explore. There's plenty of benches too. The area itself is kept clean and tidy. Overall we had a lovely afternoon and will definitely be coming back ✨

A really amazing place to come, kids absolutely love it but the only let down would be the young workers on the ringos which have no enthusiasm with the children, talk amongst themselves instead of interacting with the kids and just push them off the edge of the slope using their feet! This has happened the last couple of visits to snow trax now so has not been a one off which is a real shame because it is a lovely day out but I just think particular staff may need some extra training with their social interactions with visitors. Exceptional reception staff changing our session to the afternoon after we were running late due to the traffic, a big thank you for that! Manager of the adventure park was lovely and friendly and very helpful!

Brilliant. Booked my kids on a skiing taster session, we arrived late and missed it. The manager was very understanding and gave us a later slot with an instructor called Harley. He was excellent with the kids, went over the allotted time and his coaching was first class. Could not have asked for anything more. My girls are now hooked and desperate to return. We’re very grateful and will definitely be going back for more lessons soon.

I recently took skiing lessons at Snowtrax, and it was an amazing experience! In just two days, Rhys and Harley transformed me from a complete novice to someone ready for a skiing holiday. Brilliant fun for the whole family - I did a snow donut, had a snowboard lesson and went skiing. Little kids to adults participated in all. Patient and professional staff and excellent value for money

Excellent service and good place to have a children's party

Ben and Harley are both fantastic instructors, our daughter had a 6 hr intensive session with Harley. Harley managed to get our daughter who has never skied, to a point where she was confidently skiing from the top of the intermediate slope in a controlled fashion. Harley is fun, but also so encouraging in those early sessions trying to get to grips with the basics. Our daughter then had a level 6 lesson to master the button lift. Not only was Ben fun and informative, but he really engaged with the children, encouraging them at all times. She’s had a blast and nailed it! Thanks Ben and Harley.

Fab place for all young and older. The kids had a great time. I can only say though it would be so much better to have a way for the patrons to get back up to the top quickly. If my memory serves me right, there may have been some sort of assistance to get back to the top on one side, but not the other. So you spent most of the time you're paying for, walking back up the hill to have another go.

My partner and I visited the Snowtrax snow-sports shop this afternoon to try on some ski boots and had a really good experience. The girl who served us (I’m sorry we can’t remember her name but she was blonde) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the boots! We both tried on a few boots each and both found ones we love. We felt in no way pressured to purchase the boots (same cannot be said for a different ski shop we tried last weekend where we didn’t have a great experience) and did go ahead with the boots on our own accord from Snowtrax. Thank you, we will be recommending the service highly and will definitely return for future boots!

Came here with my 5 year old and husband. We absolutely loved going down on the rings, shame time goes so quickly. Better than another place we went to as it has an escalator to stand on bringing you and the ring back up to the top which really helps the little ones. Staff all seemed friendly. There's a pub inside, we didn't eat there so can't comment on food. Parking is very busy so make sure you get there in plenty of time, if it's at a weekend.

Great location to visit and good fun out on the boat. Fixed price for the boat so you can get better value with more people. The one negative is that we were told there would be a 30-minute wait from when we paid but once we returned to go on the boat this resulted in an hour wait as people who kept arriving late for their turn were allowed before us. It’s fine that you go in order of who paid but if you arrive late it shouldn’t mean that others who queue up on time should be made to wait longer. The staff however were very helpful too which always makes an experience more enjoyable.

Awesome little ride up to the second bridge... We also did the H2O rib ride.... that's well worth it!!!

Unfortunately it is close during some days at the winter. Rent boots are cost £20 for half an hour & £30 for an hour.

First time experiencing a tour driving a boat with my wife. I really liked it and I recommend it, I was very well received, the lady who answered us took all our doubts in the best way to understand everything. I recommend buying 1 hour because it helps you to ride longer

Fantastic atmosphere and range of events. Great mix of (excellent) local theatre, professional productions, cinema and broadcasts. The new seating is well thought out and the booster seats are great when visiting with smaller children. Excellent wheelchair access with friendly staff and volunteers to assist as required.

Went to see Andre Rieu winter Wonderland. Took my mum who has both a sight impairment and walking difficulties. She normally uses a wheelchair but could not book a wheelchair space due to the stupid online booking of "you can't book this seat because you will leave a seat empty next to you or across the aisle". Pathetic. Sort it out The Regent. So my mum had to walk up two flights of stairs of about 8 steps each. Not ideal but she did it. Seats v tight on your legs. But lovely old 1930's cinema. Lovely red seats and lovely original pieces still in place. In times of technology and modern minimalist spaces it was lovely to go into an old building and cinema. The show was great. Never seen him before but the people we sat next to were really friendly and we had a clap and a sing. Shout out to the utterly miserable and rude women who worked on the bit where you could buy popcorn etc. You let the place down with your poor attitude when you served me twice. The first time I said "good evening,how are you?" You literally looked at me with disdain. I know why and so do you. It's 2023 lady not the 1960's! Overall a nice night and will definitely return.

A traditional friendly cinema. Some may say old fashioned, others may call it quaint but I call it charming. All staff are helpful and friendly. A good selection of movies on offer but as they only have one screen the showing days vary. Due to the older style of the seating you don't get recliners or places to put your drinks but they are relatively comfy. Screen and sound quality is good and viewing position is pretty good. It's a gentle slope on the seats but they are all offset between to rows so you don't get a head immediately in front of you. There is a reasonable range of drinks and snacks available on site. There is no parking associated with the cinema but plenty of parking close by.. Overall I really like this cinema..

Lovely place and staff, great show we saw ABBA

Just tried to return our tickets for the Abba tribute tonight, which we would have loved to attend. As I tried to explain to a not very helpful lady, unfortunately we couldn't attend as my wife has been receiving cancer radiotherapy treatment every day for the last six weeks and is too much in pain to attend. She was adamant that we could not resell the tickets or receive an equivalent voucher for them. As we are regulars for events there I found it pretty alarming.

It's cheaper than going to the odeon and has a lovely feel. Volunteers show you to your seat and you can buy sweets,.popcorn etc and also drinks much more cheaply than the cinemas in Bournemouth...love it here!

Always a pleasure to see something at The Regent (this time Madama Butterfly). The range of films, live productions, etc, etc, are great. And such a change from the modern venues even if the seating is a bit cramped. Staff and volunteers are superb and everything anyone could want in the interval!!

The Regent Centre is a small but great theatre to visit. After 2 x cancelled events we finally got to see Big Girls Don't Cry on Saturday 27th November. All of the staff were great and above all the show was amazing

Saw a tribute act (uk Pink Floyd experience). The sound was pretty damn good. This venue suits live music so well having a large interior with a circle as well. First time visiting but would certainly consider going again. Staff were super efficient and plenty in refreshments or snacks.

I simply love the building and the volunteers that work there, well they are so friendly and extremely keen to help.

We went to see the 'PissedUpPanto' production of 'Jack & The Beanstalk' at the Regent and had a great time.

This is a great little venue for some really good acts. We saw The Kinks tributary band and thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame there's not a great variety of alcoholic drink and they ran out of what they did have to offer but understand it's probably difficult. We had a great evening thank you.

Great seats, to the right about half way down. With clear view of large screen. Sound good and nice and warm. Seats can get a bit uncomfortable though.

Great ambience, run by volunteers who are very helpful. A great nostalgic building, well maintained. I would recommend locals keep this place going. Wheelchair friendly, parking and refreshments. Live entertainment is always the best….keep up all the good work. Can’t wait to return.

Yet another great show at this amazing venue, tonight was Rhythm of the Dance. Absolutely awesome, such amazing talent from these fine artists. So proud we are blessed with this venue that brings us so much joy and talent. Long may it stay with us.

Great museum that I would have never realised was there had it not been for their Halloween pumpkin hunt! Took my girl there yesterday and she sped through the whole house about 4 times searching for pumpkins- I’ll have to come back on my own to have a good look as they have a lot of really interesting artefacts in there!

Attracted by the word "Garden" this turned out to be a fascinating collection of old and very old items housed in a Victorian work house. Free entry and a fun garden for children (not many plants to see in January) make it an enjoyable and educational place to visit. A credit to the staff who run it.

Exhibition shop garden and museum in an old workhouse a little seating area drinks are available including Dorset tea. Some lovely old paintings and old black and white photographs of the trams I definitely recommend

Visited as part of a short trip on a Saturday. Was quite quiet and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Lots of interesting info about Christchurch’s social history. Free admission so definitely worth a visit to learn something about the area. I particularly enjoyed learning about the tramways and trolley buses that used to run in the Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch region.

Amazing place for adults and children alike. Refreshing to go somewhere with grandchild that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to enter,( it's free!) The dinosaur 🦖🦕 garden was a treat for our five year old grandson to run around finding them all! Will definitely return!

Excellent experience in beautiful Christchurch. A historic building with an interesting history holds a collection of ancient to modern artifacts. Most relate to the area and vary from prehistory, Saxon, WW2 and everything in between. And......dinosaurs in the large and well tended garden! Plenty of benches to relax on and tea, coffee, cake sold as well. Entry is free but you're encouraged to donate £3 which is well worth doing.

Loved our visit here on a wet Saturday. Very interesting and brought back memories and we learnt lots about the area we didn't know. There were a couple of kids with their mum who were enjoying themselves too. Great place. Thanku. We will return for another visit and definitely recommend.

A very interesting museum displaying both the social and archaeological history of Christchurch and the surrounding area. The staff are friendly, helpful and well informed. We'll worth a visit.

An interesting little museum in an old building which was once the town workhouse. Free admission. Care needed on the stairs to the upper floor. Pleasant gardens. A small cafe area:place your order at the reception desk. The coffee and walnut cake was nice. There are often art exhibitions on site.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Christchurch and you want to find out more about the local area and history of the town. My son and his friends really enjoyed it.

A great place to visit if you enjoy local history, there are plenty of interesting artifacts to see. The house itself was a workhouse for the local poor many many years ago which in its self is fascinating albeit sad to read of the hardship they endured and the gardens are nice too. You can grab a drink in the small seating area inside which isn't too badly priced. Entry was free they only ask for a donation. Well worth a visit in my opinion, Carparks nearby and not to far to walk and a short walk from Christchurch Town centre and right next to the fantastic priory church.

Friendly and helpful staff. Small but comfortable museum and a lovely garden. My under-2 daughter loves this place. She likes to watch people carve the rock plate and find the dinosaurs in the garden. She really enjoyed the time to play the lovely doll house. We would love to visit here again.

Excellent place to go for local social history in abundance. How life was back in the days of the workhouse. Household implements of bygone days etc. FREE ENTRY . coffee and cakes etc available at reasonable prices too

These ruins are not far from the Keep which you can also walk up to, we didn't pop in the house ruins but did wonder past as we was going down the convent walk. It's impressive to see it still standing and adds to the ambience, as well as the beauty of the area.

As I step through the doorway of The Norman house, I’m immediately struck by its cozy atmosphere. The scent of freshly cut wood and the crackling of the fireplace greet me warmly, enveloping me in a sense of comfort and nostalgia. The rustic charm of exposed wooden beams and stone walls whispers tales of centuries past, while modern amenities seamlessly blend in, offering the perfect balance of old-world charm and contemporary convenience.

When I first saw the ruins,:it is what it is, I thought to myself: what a small medieval castle, and well kept. I went in and took several interesting pictures and decided to leave after a while. And I saw in a short distance a sign that seemed to be calling me... This is how I found out that my small castle was in fact a house, a bloody Normand house! Imagine me coming round with all my beautiful photos of a small castle.. It's always worth checking!

Then there are the gardens and the church which are really great. And do not forget to go to the quay side, where there are very nice events goig on. There is also the possibility to take a boat to go to a beah. About 20 minutes per single ride.

One of the nicest, most peaceful and beautiful places I have been to in a long time. This place is a complete gem. The walk along the waterways to the castle and Norman house, not to mention the priory, is so calm and relaxed. It is such a remedy to the busy working and commuting week. There are little stone arches that give the place character and the water is so clear you can see all the fish swimming. There is an abundance of life here from the ducks and fish to the squirrels running around and it just makes it feel alive but without any need to feel disturbed or annoyed by all the little creatures going about their day. I would like to make one point though, please do not feed any of the animals. It could actually be detrimental to their health. Anyway the ruins are wonderful with the greenery running around and through them. My words don't do justice here so see my pictures please. Also the priory is stunning with it's arches and stained glass windows and apparently it is the Romanesque style but I am no expert on this so correct me if I'm wrong. There is a lot to see in the priory but unfortunately it was closed when we visited. However outside there is a peaceful, quiet graveyard and on the other side of the priory, some benches and features including a sculpture of the bell ringers of the priory. (I have included a picture of this as well). So, if peaceful and relaxing is what you are looking for, this is the place. We were fortunate enough to be there on a very sunny day but I dare say it is just as beautiful on any weather!

Another fab feature of this beautiful place! A ferry to the spit £5 return ( you need to take cash) every fifteen minutes at this time of year! 10am - 5pm Mudeford Quay!

An easy way to get across the channel. First ferry is at 10am and the last is at 5pm. You need cash though (£2 per adult) and you pay onboard.

It's a great spot - plenty of parking this time of year but gets very busy in the summer. When there's no lockdown there's a great pub.

Ferry is currently running trips to see the cruise ships in Poole Bay. Along with the P&O and Royal Caribbean ships, we saw dolphins. Fab day out

A very scenic place for a quick tour. The beach was clean. Nature reserve beside the beach also nice a stroll and picnic. Also the high cliff castle and the canteen beside the castle is excellent for lazy afternoon. Canteen was not seen any hot food menu but lots of cake and ice creams to choose from. Canteen has clean Toilets. The steamer point also has public toilet and shower. Car parking cost was £3 for two hours via pay by phone app. There was enough space when I visited but parking was surely limited. I saw a sign for overflow parking area nearby. Lots of beach hug on the beach front probably can be hired. Cafe facilities were there on the beachfront seems popular from the queues.

Love the beach here and the nature reserve. It's a great place to cool down after a long hot day on the beach.
