Must visit place. I’ve travelled a lot, and it’s a first place with a crystal clean aquarium glasses, which makes a huge difference in perception of wonderful sea creatures. The adventure atmosphere is in every museum corner. Before visiting, please check in advance the main exhibition and 3d adventure open hours. Enjoy!

Really good for families with young children. The aquarium had beautiful sea creatures, including small fish, different species of sharks as well as a giant turtle. Really well coordinated, with a great oceanic museum, a nice outdoor restaurant and a mini play area at the above terrace with a beautiful view overseeing yhe coast. Highly recommended when in Monaco.

Nice and interesting, aquarium part was the best. A couple years ago you could pet sharks but we didn’t find the tank now. It’s not cheap but it’s understandable, there are many animals to take care of. I do not recommend going on the rooftop without sunglasses during the day ! It’s gonna blind you.

Lovely place. It is not the largest or most rich museum of this type, but it is really worth seeing because it has interesting specimens and an aesthetic, interesting way of presenting it. The service was okay, the prices were not too high. In my opinion, it is worth an hour or two for sightseeing. And there is a nice gift shop at the end - which also sells interesting books.

If you’re in Monaco and you have kids, then you must visit this marvelous aquarium!! It’s is so well laid out, with amazing fish tanks and interactive rooms and exhibits. I would definitely return, if I come back to Monaco.

Amazing museum, great technical solutions, informative signs and beautiful creatures in the aquariums. Fits for all generations, everyone should visit and expect that's big so can spend inside 2-3 hours or more easily. One tiny minus is that related to the recent royal family there is bit too much hype, for my taste (installation, footage, even a painting).

I always bring my friends and family here when they visit. Everyone always enjoys coming here. They have a lot of aquariums and an outdoor area with turtles and tortoises. If you go to the top floor, you’ll get an amazing view of the principality from the rooftop. There is also a little cafe there. They do different events, from lectures and seminars to immersive experiences. You can buy a discounted student ticket for both the oceanography museum and the zoo, or the palace.

Wow!! A must visit. Approx 50€ for a family of 4. We spent over 3 hours exploring the many areas including an outdoors aquarium with fish and a 60kg turtle, Samy! Lots of different species to look at with explanations in English which was helpful! Very clean and lots of toilet opportunities. Once out of the aquarium part, make sure you explore the 1st floor, it has lots of interactive things to do with children.

I would give 50 stars if I could. A fantastic place not to be missed by anyone visiting Monaco. Beautiful cleanliness everywhere, they are very kind. Whether it's part of the museum or the aquarium, it's an unforgettable experience. The most wonderful was the Mission Polar exhibition, it was incredibly wonderful! Thank you very much! I bought the ticket online in advance, so it was a good price with a combined ticket with the prince's car collection. It's very interactive. It was the most memorable place for us in Monaco. The building is beautiful.

A very neat experience! The Aquarium was quite crowded, but it had a lot of specimens and lots of aquatic life that I don't often see displayed. In addition the museum was interesting to go through. It had lots of information about Monaco's involvement with sea exploration. It also had a lot of information on climate change and how we can make an impact.

This place is worth a visit, a very good Aquarium. There is the usual indoor section, in addition there is an outdoor section and a large museum upstairs with a lot of naval history and interactive attractions and articles within. Price was reasonable, individual prices and not a family deal. Tickets bought at the entrance and access was straight away. There were barriers for busier times, so I anticipate it gets busier. There is also a large room upstairs with all the walls being screens and plays a number of videos about the north and South Pole and tether climates, also with interaction

I spent about 3 hours here. They have all the fish aquariums you’d probably expect to see, and I loved all of it. It’s easy to get caught up watching these marine life. Make sure to also go upstairs! There’s information on Prince Albert’s explorations of the ocean and also a semi-interactive experience of the north and South Pole that I really enjoyed. I posted some videos of it as well.

Great place, worth a visit. A bit hard to understand where to start, so it is easy to miss a floor. I recommend to start on the bottom floor and go up. Also worth to know if you are staying in nice/France that internet is not working here, and it's not possible to book Uber because there is no uber in Monaco. My lifesaver was a phone outside (next to ticket shop) the phone is for taxi and they are pretty fast.

The museum is housed in an impressive building, right near the sea. The exhibits themselves are ok, but below what you can see in Valencia for example. The view from the top terrace is really nice.

Loved my experience at this museum that also educated visitors on the importance of disposing waste properly. The tortoise and turtle sanctuary was the highlight of the trip as I was lucky enough to be there during a feeding session.

The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is one of those places that is recommended to be visited when you are in the principality. The museum has two lower floors and three floors above. The lower floors are the aquariums, which I would describe as the sea creatures zoo, and, irrespective of in what glamorous condition they are kept, is animal abuse in glorified clothes. The upper floors, though, were very interesting as they focused on polar exploration and the role that Monaco has played and is still playing in conserving the oceans and the environment.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon. The aquarium is on the small side but has some interesting sea creatures. On the up floor there was a sea exploration exhibit that I wish was larger. But overall it was something to do for an hour. It's also notable that the views are excellent. Worth the admission fee.

An absolutely amazing experience, there were so many exhibitons. I spent 2-3 hours wandering through the entire museum. Unfortunately, I went over the weekend, which was quite crowded so I'd recommended going earlier in the day or over the week. Upscale and amazing AF! Men…you must have close toed shoes to enter the casino floor and there is a dress code that’s different in the afternoon vs the evening so make sure to know the dress code for when you’re going. Anyone can visit in the lobby. Bathrooms are $1 euro to enter. Absolutely stunning all around. Beautiful and exotic cars to be found parked outside in the front.

Although there is a line at the front, it actually didn’t take us very long time to get in to the building. Visit the building is free but it cost €17 to enter the casino. Remember to bring your passport if u want to play casino. The building is iconic and there was many movies filmed here. However it is a small place, you only need 10 mins to explore the whole place.

This casino looks amazing. It does cost 18 Euros to go in and the drinks are expensive. If you are going to gamble then bring a lot of cash as the minimum bet on roullette is 5 Euros and the minimum bet on blackjack and other table games is 25 Euros

A wonderful building. We visited during the quiet season and in the morning, so we were able to explore the various halls and game rooms at our leisure. We were able to take photos without any restrictions, the helpful staff even took a picture of us in the grand entrance hall. The audio guide was very useful for finding out more of the interesting history of the place. All in all, we spent some interesting hours at the casino. A visit is definitely recommended!

It is a must to visit if you are in Monaco. And they have this free area that allows you to appreciate the architecture and glamour of the place. As it is a quick visit you will not need a lot of time. There are tickets available to visit even more inside: I found them a bit expensive and online reviews said it was not worth the money.

Although the entrance ticket is 17 euros but you can spend 10 euros of this 17 euros for drinks or machine play. Attention!! You need to wear Correct clothes, no sports clothes. Visited as seemed a place to see while in Monaco, but it was very busy and crawling with tourists and people looking at expensive cars. The casino was full of slot machines, when you first look in, so not quite the grand interior I expected. Glad I saw it and experienced the vibe around it, but not a place I'm in a hurry to visit again. I'd rather spend time in Eze or Antibes. Personal taste in the end.

Fantastic place - beautiful paintings and sculptors. We went to the bar and had a couple of drinks - you don't have to be polluted to go in there - we had a beer at 9 euros and a glass of wine at 10 euros - worth every penny for the experience!

The inside was gorgeous. However, it was pretty empty and small. I was expecting a grandeur gambling area but it was only a few tables and large slot machines. The bar area was very nice and the people were friendly. FYI...you have to have your passport in order to enter.

We didn't go in, but the outside and grounds are beautiful. The 4 stars are because it states clearly on their website what the dress code is for entering, but they were letting men in with shorts and t-shirts. I'm guessing that if yiu have enough money, they don't care how you're dressed.

What a great casino to visit! I wasn't sure I could get in, but it is no problem to see the foyer, and the inside is beautiful - you just can't go into the casino area unless you're dressed correctly and your pockets are full of money. You can pay to have a tour, but it is worth your time if you aren't gambling to just go inside to see the grandeur of the building.

Disappointed. They had fancy cars in front of the casino. I don’t understand why people give so good reviews. Paid to get entrance, got a voucher that can be used for a beer or wine or coin to bet on a machine. The bar tender is rude. The casino is not big. It looks fancy. But only some tourists there. Maybe I was expecting too much, but this wasn't special by any means. First, they charge you a fee to enter, and the women doing so were fairly rude doing it. Next, you go through security, and I went to the cage to exchange currency. Their exchange rate was crazy and they pocketed at least another 150 over the rate. When exchanging, I asked if drinks were included, and he said yes. We go to a roulette table change out a grand and orde drinks. Drinks come, and they want 80 Euros for them and argue the cage was wrong. The place is as beautiful as every picture you have ever seen. In the stain glass, you can see the year 1889, and the architecture is magnificent, but unfortunately, and probably most important to a casino was the vibe. This place was as dead as a cemetery at midnight. I would estimate less than 40 people in the entire place. No excitement, no winning, no atmosphere, just a nice building where they take your money. (That said, I won 300 😉 and still felt it was a bust)

We didn't go inside the casino to gamble because we were only on a day trip from Nice and preferred to wander around the city. It was pretty empty since it was still preseason and raining. Even if you're not into gambling, it's worth checking out the free rooms you can enter. And if you do decide to gamble, the prices aren't too bad for a world-famous casino, so it's something to consider.

Definitely the best casino I’ve been to, full stop. Extraordinary atmosphere and fair game. The dealers were being really patient to my friend who’s not so familiar to black jack which was so nice, also the staff members were being really welcoming as well. The architecture itself was already worth it for buying the ticket and everything was so detailed and exquisite. We visited on Monday late evening after dinner in the Alain Ducasse across the road. Historical location and outstanding interiors. A valid passport is required to gain entry and no other photo ID is accepted. The casino itself was pretty average and drinks were good. We didn't stay too long and the taxi was right outside the casino after late hours.

The meal in this beach restaurant is quite pleasant. We are very happy to chat with the manager. He makes people feel very kind and patient. He is like getting along with the old customers. Other staff are also quite kind. From reception to dining, and the use of beach beds, etc., everyone is so kind and kind. Of course, the meal is not. Monaco has refurbished this "square" recently onto an actual exhibitions-place for people of all kinds, cultures and purposes. Take your seat at the expensive Cafe on the left and enjoy the views of cars, people, tourists and many sights alike. Best display in town on a warm summers evening in Moncao!

Walked in to the casino wanting to play roulette in the high rollers area which I have played in before & was denied by a very rude director after explaining to him I was going to be betting a lot of money. They are quick to judge especially not knowing how much money I bet and ruining my casino experience. Im platinum and gold EVERYWHERE!!! As a very high roller with top tier at most of the major casinos in the world I would not recommend this place as I have never been rejected or treated this way before. I am always treated like a king when I gamble and here a peasant! No thank you, bad customer service. Maybe train the staff!!! I won’t be coming back.

Too many people. Strange mirror dish in center looks out of place. Casino itself looks cheaper and smaller than you may think. Looks more like railway station. Nothing like James Bond movies. Plastic wrap on carpet at entrance was very luxury.

We visited the square infront of the famous Monte Carlo casino and left a bit dissapointed. The roundabout is a walking zone and only a few of the "nice sport cars" were parked so actually nothing much to see. Took a picture and moved on behind the casino for the sea view and famous soccer hand/footprints and signatures.

Exceptional architecture which is made better by the beautiful surroundings and well maintained complex. This is a must visit for every tourist and car lovers as you get to see many of the most beautiful ones very closely.

The casino is like a fancy palace, and it's okay-ish. You have to pay to go in, and there are rules about how you should dress. When I put up a tripod to take pictures outside, a security guard quickly told me to take it down.

I was surprised by the port and the yachts of different value located in this port. With Antibes there is of course a difference, especially in the price category.

Perfect place for a nice night. If you are lucky, while dining, you will see the moon rising ... restaurants are nice, good meal, no dress code. Parking is allowed in front of the restaurants. Crowded is summer. Less in winter

I love the view. There is lot of restaurant. I like to order to go and have a sit on the pier watching boat and the sea. I enjoy going there during my lunch break, having fun and disconnect. Good to walk to !

For starters it's free so worth the visit as most other things in the area aren't, even if they only cost a few euros. The whole garden is beautifully maintained, and the koi carp seem to be cared for as there are lots of them including dozens of babies. The whole area is a photographer's dream. You are bound to get some good shots without even trying. If you are going for some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle nearby, currently you won't find it, there is construction work just outside on reclaimed land and you can't escape the noise.

What a lovely public garden right in the heart of Monaco. Sadly there is currently a large construction project going up right next to the park, or it would be a totally tranquil spot to sit and relax. However, absolutely still a wonderful place to visit while here.

It's a very small garden in the form of Japanese gardens. The place is really small, and not all the areas are accessible. There is also a lot of construction going on.

Relaxing place but some people were smoking in the sitting areas and there was a new construction where they closed completely certain areas and you cannot have the sea view anymore.

A great free place to explore when you are going around Monaco. It really felt like I was in Japan at some points. The only reason for 4 stars is the nearby construction which ruins the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere this park has. Still definitely worth a visit

During my visit to Monaco, I also visited the Japanese Garden with my family, which was recommended to me by friends. A very neat and imaginative garden in the Japanese style. Cooperation with the locals is also known. Our only complaint was the guard who was extremely unfriendly. In fact, it really happened that we entered the park with a small dog in our arms. A lady at the entrance told us that having a small dog on her lap is not a problem. We realized very quickly that this was not true, as this gentleman warned us very strongly about the possible punishment. Of course, we heeded the warning and immediately sent our daughter out with our little pet. I wrote this as a warning to dog owners to avoid problems. Otherwise, the garden is nice.

Beautiful little paradise in the center of the city. Shame that all you hear in the background is the rev of obnoxious sportscar drivers and the view of the monstrosity of housing projects going up right next to it.

5 stars because you can’t beat the price (free) and it was clean and mostly quiet. Only thing that needed attention was a broken bridge but it was cordoned off so looks like it’s being addressed. Fantastic option to enjoy a snack and listen to the water among the plants.

Came here as part of an organised trip. We were just in time to see the changing of the guard. It's very popular and attracts a lot of people. Managed to watch on someone's phone as they held it up to record it. Didn't have time to go inside just 20 minutes or so to look around the square, see the beautiful views, buy an ice cream and a souvenir.

The palace was closed when we visited but we enjoyed walking through the village (monaco city) and viewing the monuments and attractions. The views from all sides of the hill are spectacular.

Beautiful mansion with gates dating to XIII CE, and a souvenir shop at the top. There's a display of old canons and a gandarmier walking in front of the Palace - nice view. And the scenery of the city from this point is very picteresque and simply amazing.

This place is a short walk from Monaco train station, and when reaching the top, you will get a panoramic view of the city below, great for pictures. However, beside of that, there is little to do on the Prince Palace of Monaco, and when I got on the top, it was so windy so remember to bring scarfs or warm clothes there

Spectacular Royal Palace of the Principality of Monaco. Beautifully detailed with lots of artwork and stately rooms. All admissions come with a complementary audioguide. Allow around 1 hour to visit.

I didn't know about this castle until I got here and did the Formula 1 tour. Saw this perched on the top of the mountain, we climbed the stairs and got the to the top. Amazing view of the city and surrounding area. You can do take a tour here and there are tons of shops/restaurants at the top. If I had more time I would have went inside, lots of things to do around here, nice view point.

It’s fantastic that you can see the entire palace - with the audio tour (included in ticket) - in only 30 minutes or less! It was offered in many different languages also. Lovely to get a bit of the history of Monaco.

Worth a visit. The little village area is really cute, the gardens are lovely & then you get to the palace. You could probably spend 4 hours, esp if you were lucky enough to see the cars too (we didn’t have time). We spent about an hour & felt good about what we saw.

Just stunning to see all the restoration work. But I highly recommend getting there before noon to watch the changing of the guard. Also using the audio guide is a must to accompany you on your journey though the palaces history.

Really great beach with beautiful views. Didn't get super crowded on a warm weekend day. There is no sand, only small pebbles which can be a pain if they get in your sandals. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Local, clean, small beach with little stones, and few restaurants. I was there in the middle of October, I can't imagine how full it is in the summer season.

I used to come here in the 1970s, so this artificial beach is starting to have a bit of history. It's still an attractive beach made of very small pebbles. The promenade has good shops and bar restaurants. There is a shower for swimmers. The sandy powder in the pebbles makes for somewhat milky water, so snorkeling is to be done elsewhere. Outside of the buoys is a swimming / diving platform. Access to, or exit from, the water is not easy for people who don't walk well or heavy people because of the slope of the beach. Parking is right behind the beach, underground and not that expensive.

Many better beaches exist than this.

Really spectacular mall, huge chandelier, clean, polished, upscale everywhere. Cafes super nice, and seriously, not stupidly expensive either (coffee 3.7E mis-en-place). Naturally every single store has prices on nothing, so you know what that means. It's a big crowded, tight, low ceiling. Like everything in Monaco, space is super limited, even the roads and sidewalks are narrow. Money buys a lot but can't buy space. The town is packed between rock and sea. One should go simply to see what a "mall" can look like, so when you back to your town and your local mall you can wonder at the power of money. This is the epitome of a mall.

Metropole Shopping Centre is just next to Monte Carlo Casino. It has a wide range of shops but by far the most popular is Fnac and Sephora. This isn’t too many shops and only a few coffee and food places.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see inside as we came just after closing. Though we did come back at night and took some pictures. It was built in the hollow of the "Vallon des Gaumates", where during the 4th century a frail boat carrying Sainte Dévote's remains ran aground at its entrance. Every year on 26th January, a boat is burnt at nightfall as part of a still fervent traditional ceremony. Free admission.

Quiet church to pray, reflect, and thank God for all he has given to us. I attended mass on Friday, February 17th, in the early evening. It was a very nice service and the priest seemed very kind.

Beautiful little church was very busy with an event when I was there only walked into it by going to the train station but it was very quaint and lovely.

I don't approve of zoos, but this place looked cute. They had a Zoboomafoo here. Lots of animals that I hope are well taken care of. Prices are 5€ for adults and 2€50 for children. You can also couple this ticket with a ticket for the car museum and probably with the palace or aquarium as well. Small, but worth a stop if you like zoos.

The zoo was cheap, only 3 euros for students and 6 for regular entry, but it seemed a bit too small. They seem well taken care off, but in particular some of the birds, the hippo and the monkeys seem to just need some more space. There were not many guests, probably because it's not the most impressive or well known zoo. If the living space for some of the animals could be enlarged, or if they could be transferred, I'd recommend this place for a nice short afternoon visit.

One of the coolest animal parks I've ever visited, it's built on one of Monaco's cliff sides which makes it impressive.

Lots of amazing creatures, capybaras, macaws, turtles, snakes, chickens, goats, monkeys, lemurs, peacocks and a hippopotamus even!

The admission fee is not very expensive (6€ for adults, 3€ for students). It sometimes felt like the cages were pretty small for the animals. Most of the animals are birds. The biggest surprise for sure was the hippo, which we definitely did not expect. There are also bats, monkeys or wallabies

Not a huge fan of zoos but we're only in Monaco a day and the rest of Princes palace stuff appeared to be closed (at least according to the website). Lots of unique species there some of which there are only a few hundred left in the wild. There are quite a few viewpoints from the zoo too that you can sit and look over the bay area. Feel sorry for the hippopotamus though, looked like it was alone and not a lot of room for it to run about.

Visited in May 2023. It's a little place where you won't see tigers or elephants. There's a hipo though. Little crocodiles, turtles, different rodents, peacocks and quite good collection of birds, some of them I haven't seen in other, much bigger zoos. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Entry fee €7 /person. Small very convenient walk around! Kids friendly, has public toilet, you can purchase food inside with the coins and feed the domestic animals all are welcomed! Enjoy the great view from the top hill... And great view of dock..

Really nice exposition center, located on the seashore. Easily reachable on foot and by bus. We were the for Monet exposition, awesome and contains several pieces we have never seen before. We visited the 'Monet en pleine lumière' exposition which featured enormous amount of paintings from Monet's life, even paintings that were never publicly exposed. It was an incredible experience, and was a major factor why we came to Monaco this year. Thank you Grimaldi Forum for this!

The exposition itself was curated professionally; the choice and hanging of the paintings was done very well. BUT. And this is an enormous "but" since there's no way how to deal with it ... The lighting is a catastrophe for any art exposition. Funnily enough the next one will be a Turner show - another artist who didn't rely on light - attn. ... IRONY ... . How can you, as an art lover or professional, even think about using this place for art expositions? Guys, what you need is natural light, and then, and only then you can add some artificial light on top, for the rainy days. The money should be there to build such a place. In part this show was so dark that it was hard to figure out the colours. Next: visitor control: chaos and unprofessional to the core. Guys, get your organizational skills in order and train the personnel!!! Wonderful location for a conference in Monaco, close to the sea, harbours and museum of Hydrography (also a must to visit!). There are some bus lines that will stop near the Forum (5, 6 and 110) but they are not always on time (especially the 110 to Nice). They have a auditorium at the Forum for presentations, with lovely chairs for the attendees. Sound is good, and the complete setup was perfect

Overall It feels like an oversized Holiday Inn. The lobby is always crowded with people and if you're looking for something contemporary or fancy this place doesn't have it. Room service was good but nobody else seemed to care too much about anything. The beach is nowhere near the hotel. Hotel guests who want to use the pool will be surprised to find that they must share it with Nikki Beach resort. Nikki Beach resort staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. The lobby restaurant has OK food. I noticed the rooms facing The Hairpin turn on the street are closed and they are being renovated. Maybe once the entire place is renovated I will consider staying here again

Friendly staff, location is amazing. The rooftop area is great - perfect setting for breakfast, good gym and pool. Rooms very tired for the price, feels very dated - certainly not a luxury hotel feel that you'd expect from the price tag.

I really liked the hotel. The room was nice new totally black out for the sleep as I like and no noice from the housekeeping in the morning that kept it quiet as should do …as well from other guests. Didn’t try breakfast to share opinion but at the swimming pool especially the men in charge were very good at their task and at the door Fabio made our life easy with the transfers etc . Thank you

The hotel is very representative of the city: old, overpriced, full of arrogant people. Shockingly ageing property, you could not sit on the desk chair it was so old and soft, the bed was super uncomfortable with terrible pillows, the noise level was intolerable and the sea view blocked by a massive construction site. It was over crowded, over priced and stressful. The only good things I will say about this place is the staff do their best to serve well despite a horrible clientele. And the breakfast is very good. But my advice would be - avoid at all costs. Ideally stay in Nice!

Iconic Hotel on the famous Formula One turn. The price was good to me. The receptionists were little bit seems confused during the check-in, maybe due to the large number of people who were checking in due to some conference organized on the same day of our stay. We got a room with disable people access which is bigger and wider from the normal room. The concierge people were friendly and ready to help. The room furniture seems used a lot and need to be replaced. Also, the sound proofing of the rooms needs to be changed or at least improved. My room was next to the elevator and I was literally can hear every conversation outside.

I went from the hospital to the hotel and the staff did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable. A big thank you to Jean Michell who really went the extra mile. Nice lobby, but hallways and rooms need updates. I found only 2 useable power outlets in my room, and no bedside outlets or usb charging. Toilet ran continuously unless I jiggled the switch. Room temp ranged from more hot to less hot, with no ability to turn on air conditioning. Hotel service is highly professional.

What a delightful stay, they dint have any dog sitters available and they kept our buddy in the office while we went to the casino. I wish they dint, probably would have lost so much money but hey.. bless them regardless. I hope to come back really soon!!

Fantastic hotel! Wonderful property, excellent hospitality and oh my god - what views. One side of the hotel is the famous hair pin f1 bend and other side the Mediterranean Sea. We got the room right in front of the hair pin bend. You spot magnificent (and rare) cars on this road in the front. And across Monte Carlo for that matter. You get to have breakfast by the bay. And experience the expanse. Spread was okay. But if you plan to eat in the open, be careful of seagulls

Wow! Although it doesn’t look much from the outside, this place has everything inside. Great location for getting about, would recommend the Buddha Bar next door, and booking the racing cars which you can drive round the Grand Prix track. They are situated on the front near Casino Square. Service at the hotel was 5*. Food drinks and location also 5* x came for our honeymoon and loved every minute x

The locations is great! The view of the marina is wonderful and you're close to everything by car. Rooms were cozy and clean. The decor was really simple. I loved the balcony 😍 As for service, I can't really speak of since we didn't get any. I don't know if it's because we are black but no one greeted us at all, we basically felt ignored as if we weren't there. But we didn't care since we came to experience the area!

One of the best hotels in Monte Carlo. It's near to all attractions. Service is perfect. The lobby bar has tasty desserts. Rooms are big and each room type has good views. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast area with the endless sea view. The buffet also has a large variety.

However, we have been extremely unsatisfied with our stay due to the fact that in our first day when entering our room there was an appalling, very intense, eye watering, disgusting, urine-like smell coming out of the bathroom and to the whole room probably from the drain pipes. We immediately reported it to the reception only to receive an answer that maintenance would see into it the next morning, at a scheduled time, and there was nothing they could do about it or change room. Next day we waited in vain as nobody came so we reported it back but again no answer. We had to bear this awful stench for the duration of our stay, reason for which we came to the room late at night and left the balcony doors open for a long time for ventilation. At check out when asked how our stay was the answer was straightforward ’bad’ which was reported to the manager who came out to politely affirm that the smell was probably due to the drain pipes. Well, thanks a lot, we knew that from the first day but no measures were taken to fix the problem. This was definitely an unexpected situation that nearly ruined our business trip along with a totally unacceptable, very poor, problem handling for a hotel of this caliber, in a place like Monaco and should be taken into serious consideration by anyone who wants to book this hotel.

Would 100% go back here again! Right from the moment we reached Fairmont we were treated like Royalty. The check in process was smooth and we were immediately ushered to our rooms. We selected the hair pin view suite and the view as a hardcore F1 fan was amaaazing. Just chilling in the balcony watching the Ferraris, Porsche, Aston Martins and the occasional vintage car zooming by is a vibe on its own! The room itself was quite spacious and everything was well thought out. Fast charging USB and C Type slots by the bedside, well equipped mini bar and refreshments, Le Labo toiletries, Lounger in the room and a spacious balcony to enjoy the view. The hotel itself has its own casino and is yet 2 minutes walk from the Monte Carlo Casino Unfortunately I was crunched for time and could not enjoy the fitness, sauna and steam facilities. I was given complimentary drinks as an Accor Plus member on the rooftop which had a gorgeous swimming pool. I wish I could’ve visited the in house Nobu restaurant but it was closed for renovations. The buffet breakfast was set up really well and everything was super delicious The concierge and staff were super helpful in guiding us and accommodating our requests.

Nice place, a bit dated and pretentious feeling but some nice rooms that can feel hard to find because the hotel is so big! Breakfast is very good with a nice view (wear sunglasses) only gripe would be the internet....it should be free and blazing fast for the price of the hotel. Instead it's locked to very slow rate unless you pay for it.... nowadays that's just a bit silly! Stay there on business again? Sure, on my own dime? Probably not.

Unfortunately, we were not able to test the hotel thoroughly and give a detailed account of our experiences. The one star is awarded because there was no goodwill on the part of the hotel with regard to canceling the trip, which had to be done due to an unexpected death case. For such a well-known hotel, we as prospective customers find this a very poor service and terms and conditions. Above all, we wanted to postpone the trip or book again in February. But we are not satisfied with such poor service. At least a partial refund could have been made. What a pity!
