Visited on 10/12/2022. This for me was my first-ever visit to a Castle. I loved how we were left to explore the ruins and grounds. How you could climb the very steep stairs to get an amazing view of the surrounding areas. Fun-filled facts are potted around the grounds, allowing insight into the history of the castle. It takes less than an hour to walk around, however, there are benches inside the grounds where you can top for a breather or a quick snack. Small car park near the entrance. Toilets available as well.

Best ruined castle I have ever seen. Outer and Inner curtain walls complete, buildings inside the castle walls still standing except roofs. It is possible to see how the castle functioned. In a wonderful location alongside a river. Gift shop and toilet, adequate parking for cars and motorhomes.

One of the busiest castles I have been too. Dog friendly on ground levels. Free car park just before and limited at the castle.

Well priced as its not your mainstream place to go, and the assumed costs in keeping it up together. Very quaint and lovely little castle, well maintained grass areas. Couple of picnic tables that we enjoyed a snack on inside with my 4 and 3 year olds. They were very excited and keen to learn about it and the voice boxes were a nice touch they listened intently to. Lots of the castle left, can even traverse 3 floors instead of just the ruins of one. Even though small, we spent 2 hours with the children investigating each little cubby. If your local, worth a stop off for sure!

A small, but relatively intact castle, hidden away in deepest Wales. Well worth a visit - probably won't take more than a couple of hours to look round, but you'll be glad you went. Lovely views from the top of the keep, and lots of little stairs and rooms for kids to explore.

Spent an amazing 2 hrs walking around the hidden rooms up and down the battlements .plenty of information to read about the castles history. You get a whole different perspective from the battlements. You can walk around the outside if it's closed by going down the steps by the 1 disabled space. Also, turn right to go visit the old town bridge. Outer wall of the castle and the old water mill now an antique store

Took a full hour to walk around and explore, nice Place to visit but not a full day trip. Would be nice to eat your lunch here if it’s a warm day.

What a great example of a 13th-century castle. There are plenty of rooms, ramparts, and towers to explore. You don't realise how big it is until you get inside. The views from the top of the tower/walls are breathtaking. We visited over the bank holiday weekend, and there was a falconry team with a selection of amazing birds. The guy running the team really knew his stuff and engaged well with our daughter and gave her an amazing experience with Harris Hawk. The staff in the gift shop were helpful and gave us a map which helped navigate and gave us a little information. There is plenty of free parking on site.

We loved exploring the various parts of the castle and bought the guide at reception for more in depth information. Climbing the stairs to the top isn't for the faint hearted or ones less mobile but the views were amazing

Hidden gem of a castle set in a beautiful little village. It's cheap to get in, very beautiful, with mostly intact towers and walls, with tonnes of spiral staircases, passageways and dungeons to explore. Incredibly panoramic views from the top of the middle tower in all directions. Very much worth a visit

Absolutely amazing old castle has been well looked after to allow visitors to safely walk around large areas of the building and grounds. I especially loved walking around the parapet and the amazing views from up there

Great castle ruins run by CADW. Reasonable prices for a visit as the money goes towards the upkeep of welsh historic monuments. There is a gift shop and toilets on site, but no refreshments kiosk. A small car park is available on site, although the is free car parking a short walk away.

Been before and this is such a lovely well manicured castle. We are able to walk up around the battlements and have amazing views of the area and castle ruins.

Really good castle .Well preserved and in a great setting. Well.worth a visit plus some really interesting history about Medieval Welsh kingdoms.

Really enjoyed visiting Kidwelly Castle. Lovely views of surrounding countryside. The map and guide book helped us to make sense of the ruins during and after the visit. Staff were very friendly.

What a lovely castle. I've never seen so many rooms to explore. The grandchildren loved it. A reasonable price to enter too. It was a wet day, but we were given advice to be careful as it may be slippery. We really enjoyed this castle and would definitely visit again. I would recommend it too, but some of the steps are quite steep and some are narrow, but with care we managed it all. 👍

Very interesting castle. Dog friendly, the staff gave treats to all the dogs that arrived. Access for disabled is as good as you can expect for an ancient monument, bearing in mind that to see it all, there's a lot of steep steps to climb. I managed quite a bit of this on crutches, but some of it you won't be able to get to. It is what it is. The castle is very impressive and bigger than you think from the entrance, the views are great and the toilets are clean and right by the entrance. There are two car parks but they're not big, so go early. There are also some very nice walks along the river.

Kidwelly Castle is a great stop if you like castles and history. We climbed, explored, studied, and enjoyed the beautiful setting for over 90 minutes.

Really enjoyed my visit here today. Small castle to visit including a tower to climb, we even had a game of chess in the garden. Lovely walk with the dog along the coastline to Dylan Thomas' boat House and writing shed, had a rest and a cuppa at the boathouse. Spent a good few hours here. 😌

Beautiful historic village, sleepy and welcoming. Castle stands proudly over the estuary....simply beautiful. Also, the walk up to The Writing Shed of Dylan Thomas. Shame his house wasn't open

Such a beautiful castle, full of history with stunning views The gardens are lovely and there's plenty of room for kids CADW cards at the ready as it's £5 each for entry (well worth it!)

The castle was really nice to visit. Views across the estuary from the castle was beautiful. The white walkway inside the castle made from the seashells was interesting. Paying for parking was difficult as the machine would not accept cards. Hope they fix the parking machine soon.

Beautiful from the outside and even more so inside. Such an iconic part of a more modern part of historic Wales incorporating the famous poet Dylan Thomas and where he pulled his inspiration from to write such beautiful words. If you have a Cadw pass then do not pass by without popping in to see. With regular shows like birds of prey displays or treasure hunts there's lots to do and learn about. And on rhe plus side you can take your dog.

A great setting. Set on the high ground overlooking the estuary. There is a wealth of history available to experience here, including the town and its connections with Dylan Thomas. It is easy to see why historical elites, and poets, would choose to settle in this magical place...

A fair sized castle ruins on the estuary. The grounds in and around this castle are beautiful and well done to the grounds crew. Visited during Easter, and they had a kids' trial on which was fun. There is a tower to climb, which is a little difficult but worth it for the views. On nice days, theres games on the lawns for kids to play with. Ran and cared for by Cadw. Has a small gift shop at the entrance and a small chargeable car park nearby.

Great little castle, not very big but has got some brilliant views from the top, defernatly worth a visit if you're in the area. Lovely kept gardens as well.

Lovely castle ruins in the most beautiful setting. So much history and the added extra of the home town of Dylan Thomas . Stunning scenery and fantastic walks. Plenty of places to eat and drink to suit all.

Absolutely lovely place, we will definitely come here again. The grounds have been kept tidy and there is lots of history readily available of the castle within the grounds.

Lovely To Experience Such A Beautiful Old Castle.. Really Nice Views, Dog friendly & Cute Little Shop With Nice Ladies Working There. Very Welcoming

One of my favourite Cadw castles - the gardens, maze and lawns as you enter make it so inviting ( and great for families) but when you go up the tower or out to the pavilion you get the most breathtaking views of the river estuary. The visitors centre/ gift shop is also really nice and the ladies on the desk were very helpful with membership and suggestions.

This is a majestic old castle on a commanding hill looking out over the River Tar. We got free entry using our Historic Scotland cards and received a very warm welcome from the staff. The building is in pretty good repair taking account of the recent restrictions due to COVID and the coastal position, but there are parts where caution needs to be used. There is a small gazebo that Dylan Thomas used to contemplate and write. There is plenty of Pay and Display car parking. Nice place worth a visit and a good stroll round. The surrounding town with its association to Dylan Thomas means that you can make a day of it.

Cool castle with green lawns, gardens, and estuary views. I can see why this cake was turned into a manor house in the 16th century. You can partially climb one of the two main towers. There's also a writers hut, overlooking the estuary. There's a small Cadw ticket office / shop but no cafe or toilets. Then public toilets just down the road need a 20p piece to use.

I've been going to this castle and laugherne since I was a boy in the 70s been here 1000s of times I live across the estuary 🙏 laugherne castle is in laugherne carmarthenshire west Wales. The castle, located on the estuary of the river taff, was originally established in 1116. It was rebuilt as a norman stronghold. There have been many alterations since then, including becoming a Tudor fortified manor in the 16th century 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Gorgeous castle with beautiful views. Loads of lawn games for the kids to play. Activity sheets for the children, they need to find puzzle pieces throughout with letters on (can be done in Eglish or Welsh). Sweet little gift shop with a nice range of nick nacks. A family ticket is about £20, we spent about an hour and a half here.

A fantastically preserved ruin! A little quest for the kids with dares and missing words make for fun learning! My toddler particularly liked the trimmed hedges as he ran around with only the top of his head visible. There are live actors dressed up and a small camp to get involved with. The ice cream is incredible!

Pulled in to Laughharne Castle en route home from our holiday in Amroth. Parking was just a £1 for 1 hour, going in April there was plenty of parking available. You can walk part way around the castle via a flat pavement and you go past a beautiful vista that's a great spot to sit for a while, a few beaches available. For those more mobile, there are rocks you can walk over to get to some steep steps to carry on your walk. Another dog friendly place in Wales, dogs can be off the lead as long as kept under control.

We were camping in wales and wanted a break from the surroundings so decided to check out laugharne castle. Really well kept, the grounds are lovely and you can take dogs but it is very small. Only took 30 minutes to look around it all. The shops nice and so are the two ladies who work there. There are no toilets, you have to walk down the street where you are charged 20p for a not so nice experience. There was an ice cream van in the car park which served excellent ice creams. The area below the castle is really picturesque and a nice walk. I would recommend for a easy day out.

Small but interesting site. Linked to Dylan Thomas amongst others and given the amazing views across the flats, it's understandable why it has inspired so many over the years. Only parts of the outer walls still remain. However, you can climb up inside one of the two great towers to enjoy the views from the top. The castle is the most striking feature of the picturesque village it dominates, and the regular flooding of the carpark and high street on certain high tides just adds to the charm of the place.

Second time visiting, came back in 2019 but this time the weather was better so the views were fantastic. Lovely maintained grounds and friendly lady in the shop. My son loved his 'medieval' coins he received for completing the quiz 🙂

Absolutely stunning find! Little car park too (pay and display)

A lovely situated Castle that is in and amongst the little artisan shops on Camarthan's high street at the top of the hill. It is free to enter as there is not enough of it to make it chargeable. It has nice views over Camarthan but apart from that it is not somewgete you would make a point of travelling to. Nice to sit outside in the little Square and watch the world pass by and gives you a medieval feel while you do

Not much left of what once must have been a very impressive castle. Be careful if visiting based on reviews and photos, as my wife was expecting to see Carnarvon Castle, which is a completely different location and town in North Wales. Doesn't take long to look around, is free, has some information boards around the site. Great to see the site being looked after so well worth visiting if you're around the area.

If you’re looking for an actual castle this is not the place for you. It’s now more a building site than anything else. If you are in the area of Carmarthen try the Paxton Tower or Dryslwen Castle (not sure I’ve spelt that right)

Not much left of it, just a wall and gatehouse. Plenty of information boards to give some historical context but nothing to keep you for longer than 15 mins .

Not worth a special excursion. Very little of it left, just an entrance gate and a bit of wall. Very historical of course and free to visit but not impressed. The rest of Carmarthen not up to much either.

The entrance to the castle ruins are situated in Carmarthen Town centre. It's free to take a wander around but there's not too much to see. A few boards up about its history but that's about it. Nice to see that it's open for the public and interesting to read up if you enjoy castles and history.

It was a free castle and it was nice that the tourists information centre was in it. But I couldn't find a parking spot and by looking for one I drove through one of the smallest streets I've ever driven through. We just wanted to stop for a quick look witch wasn't worth it. But when you are there definitely go and have a look. They have a little story with characters that tell you why the castle is there and its stories.

Must have been a hell of a castle back in the day 🙏Carmarthen castle is a ruin in West Wales . Built by the sheriff of Gloucester in the early 1100s . The castle was captured and destroyed on several occasions before Been rebuilt in stone during the 1190s. The castle was captured by owain glyndwr in 1405 . During the civil war it was dismantled by the order of Oliver Cromwell in the mid 1600s 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Disappointing, as I feel Carmarthen council are not looking after this heritage site. I found it dirty and really unloved. The Tourist Information Office on site didn't even look open. It is a free entrance with little to see except for a few walls and the watch tower overlooking the river Towy

As towers go, it’s in pretty good shape and worth a visit. We included Paxton’s tower as part of a 6 mile circular hike, but we could see it being a great spot for picnic’s. It was a windy cold day with reduced visibility on our visit, but there are fabulous views to be enjoyed, obviously considerably better on nice day! Car park could fit a good 8 cars, though the lane to it is tight.

Just been up to Paxton Tower, what a view! Well worth the hike up - not fit so very slow going. Weather was absolutely beautiful.

At 570ft above sea level, the views from the top of the hill are breathtaking. Access to the first floor of the tower has been sealed off, but still worth the few minutes walk from the car park.

I come here fairly often as it is a good walk for me. The views are always breathtaking, even in the mist. Plenty of space for children to run about and family picnics. A decent rubbish bin at the top and dog poo bin would be a good idea. . An added bonus is this place is FREE!

Beautiful hidden gem. Parking was easy and plentiful right across the road, the tower itself is small but has sweeping views. If you ascend the adjacent hill you can get a really nice view with the tower and hillsides. Currently the tower was closed for the higher level, but you can still walk into the ground floor.

Free car park an a lovely walk up to the Tower. Great info on the tower an you can even see the main manor house in the distance. Great surrounding walks and unrivalled country views. Simply stunning and all FREE!

Access along a single track road, I wouldn't advise motorhomes using this road. A stunning building built over two hundred year ago.

Took the dog here, there is no entrance fee, the road to the carpark is narrow so take care. The views were great from the top of the hill, the dog loved it romping around and rolling in the wet grass. We will definitely be going back there

Great views and an amazing tower commanding the hill top, car park nearby so nice for a quick visit and short walk around. Roads are single track and blind turns so care needed when driving there

Finding this place was quite challenging, being in the middle of nowhere and tight one way roads, but once there it's all worth it. Shame we couldn't go upstairs, but other than that, this was a great visit and experience.

Fab place to visit, small free car park before the entrance gate. We visited on a wet and blustery day so walking boots were definitely needed. No solid path just grass which was very flooded, so one to bear in mind if visiting after wet weather. Stunning views from around the tower, will definitely return on a warmer/ clearer day for a picnic and to watch the sunset!!

A beautiful old ruin, it would have probably been a lot better if it was sunny, the views would have been good then. There is a small, but free parking area next to it. The Tower was built as a memorial to Admiral Lord Nelson in 1811. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Visited Paxton's tower today, free parking which was great. A short steep walk up the hill allows you to get up close to this beautiful 200 year old tower. The views are lovely and you can see the botanical garden dome from the top. Great to take some pictures and spend a bit of time in nature.

We had SUCH an amazing time with Alex at the British bird of prey centre. We met and flew 3 different owls (in the drifting snow) and watched the owl flying show with 3 other species of owls. All the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and the birds were really well looked after. Clearly a project of passion and well worth a visit if you are in the area. For just £60pp we spent the whole day in the botanical gardens exploring the incredible glass houses, had a delicious lunch and then spent all afternoon with just us, Alex and the birds. It was really great value and we would DEFINITELY do it again. Thankyou to all the team who made out visit so special, we will recommend you to all our friends

Great day out!! The birds are incredible. Having a White Tailed Sea Eagle (named Aquarius) landing on your arm is an experience I will never forget. Popeye the Eagle owl has so much character too, he will leave an impression on you. Easy parking, friendly, enthusiastic and informative staff in the great botanical location made for a wonderful day out. See you all again soon!

Had the best owl experience with my 7 old year boy. I have got him into owls and I booked this on our recent Easter break. We had Emma for our owl flying experience and she was great with the owls and my son. We met and flew 3 different owls. The great grey owl being one of my boy's faves! He loved it's fluffy feet! After the experience we watched the Hawk flying show and then looked at the other owls and birds of prey in the centre which is all included with your ticket. You also get to go around the Botanic Garden too so extra bonus! Do not miss out! Book now!

Such an incredible place! The birds are beautiful and the staff are fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly. There are 3 flying shows a day which are all different. We paid a little bit extra for the group flying sessions, and got to fly a great grey owl and a black kite - would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed. Went for a woodland walk with Ozzie a long eared owl. And then a stroll with Boomerang a kestrel. You get given a glove and as you go the falconer puts food in your hand and calls the birds. So you get up close and personal with them.

We watched the show and it was very informative. The birds on display were; Long eared Owl, Black and Red Kites, Kestrel and a Golden Eagle. They were flying in between the spectators, making for a wonderful sight. VFM.

Absolutely loved our time here. Booked a half day private experience to fly some birds, I also planned to propose to my partner who absolutely loves birds/birds of prey, whilst on this experience using the birds. The centre honestly went above and beyond to help me plan, and go through with this. With the help of the great grey owl Dory who flew a sign to my partner. It was honestly just a beautiful day and a wonderful experience. Truly a day and memories we will treasure forever. I cannot thank or praise the centre and the staff enough for executing this surprise so perfectly. I was sooooo nervous but honestly it could not have gone better. They were all so so lovely, and went above and beyond without a doubt, even bringing us glasses of prosecco after. Also cannot praise our falconer Poppy enough, who made our experience wonderful, was like walking around flying birds with a friend, which added to our memories and made the experience just relaxed (as much as i could be) and just so much more enjoyable! I am positive we will be back next time we are in Wales, you guys and Dory are now an important and special part of our story. Thank you again for all of the amazing staff for giving us memories we will never forget and will never get sick of telling people about. Truly amazing!

This is the most incredible, friendly, educational and all round amazing bird centre on the planet. We go for inspiration as pilots, and seeing these amazing birds fly millimetres from your head, coming to sit next you on the benches and fly their little hearts to please the visitors is amazing. Aquarius and Atlantis with their massive wing spans, Midas the golden Eagle with his fabulous plumage, Dory with his massive owl face, Hector and Popeye with their deep yellow eyes and of course Enzo the fastest falcon on the planet... so much to love... we go every month!

We had a fantastic visit to the centre. We had planned to visit as part of our trip to the botanical gardens. The centre itself has a great selection of birds to look at, and the way the aviaries are setup you feel like you are close to the birds which gives you a great view. We then paid to watch the bird display which has to be the best show we have been to of anywhere. Afterwards our sons did the Kite flying experience which they absolutely loved. Being able to get the bird to land on your hand and feed was incredible. We only expected to hold the bird a couple of times but they ended up getting 5 turns which they were really pleased with. If it wasn't so far away for us we would absolutely go again.

Went on the afternoon bird flying experience as a family. It was brilliant. Simon was a great guide, lovely to be close to the birds and see their personalities.

We took our niece, Ella (7 y/o), for the half day flying experience and it was amazing. Celyn was amazing, patient and very knowledgeable. She even picked out a weird and wonderful tawny frogmouth for Ella to fly!

We visited recently, attending a display but also booked a private experience. I cant recommend this enough - being up close to the birds is very special. They are clearly so well looked after by a fantastic, engaging and knowledgable team. Alongside the grounds of the botanical garden this is a great family day out.

This in my opinion is the best place to visit when holidaying in the south of Wales, the whole set up, experience, falconers just make the experience, one you’ll never forgot. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have the best time. Up close and personal with the birds themselves giving you the opportunity to picture them either mid flight or sat looking wonderful. Go and visit, support the centre and help them grow to become the best place to visit within the falconry business.

A good little place. First off FREE, has a little self serve canteen and a good little gift shop. All the staff we met were very friendly and happy to talk about the local area and other places to visit. Museum is over 2 floors and has items from fossils and Roman, to Waterloo and the 50s.

Great Park for Walking ‘Popcorn’ she just loves the squirrels 🐿 The museum is undergoing some refurbishments at present 11/2020. I’m looking forward to getting inside once they are completed.

This was an odd little gem of a place, full of interesting exhibits, facts ans things to see that will make you remember and think of times gone bye. There is quite a lot to see covering many aspects of life in Carmarthenshire and Wales in general. The staff are friendly and informative. Toilets are clean fresh and functional. There is plenty of car parking available. There is a busy bustling wee cafe attached with nice friendly staff and a good selection of food, baked good and drinks. This place is well worth a visit

Return visit. Some interesting exhibits ... Enjoyed a tea and cake in Stacey's Cafe. Explored the surrounding gardens and park land. The walled garden was closed on the day of my visit so will call to visit that another time.

Absolutely amazing experience. Highly recommended. I bought a 17£ ride, and I feel like I got a great deal. The staff on the steam train are outstanding. So friendly and proffesional. Beautiful walk around the Bishop’s Palace and such an interesting museum. Wonderful café too !

So many interesting things to see, one room after another, thoroughly recommend a visit. The grounds are lovely with plenty of seats and its all free including parking!

Love visiting this place not for the museum but for walks with my dog. They have a lovely cafe with nice tasty snacks and a cake to finish off.

Marvellous shop

A really beautiful place far from the madding crowd. Beautiful scenery and lovely places to walk. Driving right around the lake is a beautiful way to spend a few hours. I’ve been many times but nothing beats Autumn when the colours are just gorgeous!!

Went on a Sunday night, stayed overnight to Monday morning in a car park further on from the main one. Feels proper isolated and the views are impressive. The thing holding the water back is dam ugly though. Felt a bit grim and post-apocalyptic to me, with the blasted rock and massive concrete slide. The dams in Elan valley were built with a degree of aesthetics in mind. The Llyn Brianne dam definitely wasn't!

Must-see! The lake changes with the seasons and that makes the scenery a little bit different every time I'm visiting. It's one of my favourite places in the UK, great roads, lots of hiking options, picnic areas on the side, a few car parks...🥰 Just the place to relax and enjoy the wilderness!

A lovely quiet reservoir with free parking. We went here to walk our dog on a Tuesday and it was nice and peaceful wandering around the wide path. The only place we could easily reach the water was just below the car park , where our dog loved having a swim close to shore. The only downside was the toilets, the gents, ladies and even the disabled toilet were all blocked and unusable, I guess this maybe a one off but it does take time for all 3 to block up.

This was our 3rd time visiting & once again, not disappointed with the breathtaking views. As it was a hot day, you could see for miles the lake reflecting the gorgeous blue sky. The road to the lake & as you drive around the reservoir has different surprises around each corner. There's public toilets at the dam with great views of the spill way. Only downside we have never seen it overflow.

Lovely scenery on our drive to Llyn Brianne, fabulous views and great for walking. Added bonus free parking and toilet facilities also not far from a nature reserve.

Beautiful reservoir with good solid path to walk along or take your scooter if you have one. The drive here is full of the most stunning scenery with waterfalls and the river winding through the valley. Red kites swooping overhead. Lots of photo opportunities. On a Saturday a snack van calls up to the main car park. The views are worth the drive I really enjoyed it.

Architecturally beautiful, dam built at breath taking proportions encompassing an enormous reservoir! Parking areas dotted about. You are able to go on foot over a bridge crossing the dam to observe the different views. Public toilets, plus a disabled toilet. You can drive around a large part of the reservoir but not over the bridge as this is locked (foot access only). Wooded as well as open areas around reservoir. *Particular care is to be taken while driving due to very steep drop from road to water!

Lovely customer service. The workers were so nice and were very helpful. I've been there three times and each time is a great experience for me and my siblings. If you book for pottery painting over a call you're given no time limit to paint something of your choice. I've painted a plate, a gnome and a mug. They have a variety of options to choose from and a lot of paint to choose from. I would definitely recommend going here for pottery painting.

We ordered a custom made dog bowl for our schnauzer Gertie. It arrived very securely packaged and is exactly as we specified. Just perfect and we are delighted with it. Thankyou Chris and Sarah for a lovely piece of unique pottery. It was also very resonably priced too.

Beautiful top quality pottery with great customer service. I visited here many years ago and purchased a beautiful vase. My sister in law has always admired it and I thought it would make a lovely gift for her but I couldn't find the particular product in the design I wanted on the website so I contacted the company and they said they would be happy to make one for me. A few weeks on and my beautiful vase arrived safely today. My sister in law will be delighted with it. Special thanks to Christine for all her help and constant contact and updates. Fantastic! The lady couldn't have been more helpful and kind. We were on a hen party and turned up without booking as our other plans got cancelled and she welcomed us in and couldn't do more for us! Visited the pottery earlier this week and learnt a lot about Gwili and it’s origins in the course of simply browsing around the premises. The staff were very friendly and informative. Some gorgeous items on display (the Howie designs being our favourites) and all realistically priced given the time and effort needed to produce ‘one off’ pieces of this nature. Consequently, bought a number of items and the pleasure that we will get from our purchases will be immeasurable. Loved it!

We were looking for somewhere to go and Gwilli Pottery came up on Google. We decided to head over, not knowing what we would find. We walked through the door to be met and greeted by the Master Potter herself! We asked - on spec, if we could have a lesson, and she offered us a 1 to 1 session creating some unique master pieces (well we did make them). Chris was the ultimate professional and patient teacher, showing us what we needed to do and as a result we created some great ceramics. We can't wait to see them in the next couple of weeks when they will be delivered to our door. It was a real pleasure to work with Chris. She is a true artist whose years of experience show in the familiarity with her medium and the ease with which she passes this expertise on. The cost of the whole session, including delivery of our finished pottery, was an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend this thoroughly enjoyable experience to anyone.

Very pretty church in the heart of Carmarthen. Close friend had a wedding there which was lovely. Beautiful setting inside with stained glass windows a plenty.

So enjoyed this visit. We were at the open day we saw the tomb of the Bosworth knight. And the story teller was second to none. It is so full of history. Especially grateful it is still a functional Church. Top of my list for another visit. Amazing value for my 10£ donation.

This was an amazing church. We visited because my ancestors the Morris family were either baptised .married, buried or worshipped there, the significance of the tomb of Rhys Thomas the soldier that put the death blow to King Richard 111 is interesting as the Thomas family name is also in my family tree .we loved the visit.

The stained glass window- shepherds holding the key is well worth a viewing.

Had a lovely guided tour by Sylvia. We learnt a lot and will visit again when in the area. Beautiful church.

Unfortunately the Christmas Eve sermon was not uplifting, at the very time the congregation deserved/needed some cheery words !

Museum is very small and more about sheep farming than Arthurian legend. Poorly signed on arrival, just the farm name on the gate. The walk up to the top of Brynn Myrddin is well worth it though. Spectacular views and an information point telling you what you are seeing. Would climb the hill again.

Balding indicated and the farm makes you pay to walk up the hill. Not worth your time or money

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable, fun weekend with Andrew Douglas Forbes as he shared his intriguing style of painting with the group. Delightful studio, warm, clean and light with tea /coffee on tap. Looking forward to Andrew's five day Painting master class starting on Tuesday 5th November at 5-30pm.

Absolutely useless and pointless waste of public money in it's current location. Nobody can see where it is. Even as someone who has lived here for years I only just found out it existed when it popped up in my timeline. God help a tourist who has just turned up for a few days. A shame really.

Not open on Sunday. Arrived on Saturday, Sunday we need to find out what to do. TOURIST OFFICE CLOSED. Useless. Get up to date guys. Stop living in the dark ages.

Staying in Carmarthen, I needed to meet someone at the station. Approaching the station from the town, the signage is hopeless. There is a sign to the station at the roundabout, but the next sign to turn right is well past the cul-de-sac which is signposted as such but gives no indication that that is in fact the entrance to the station. The one sign there is is fine coming from outside the town but NOT for those coming from the town.

The improvements made to the ground have allowed the space to become a real community hub for football. Really impressed with the surface and it’s maintenance. Hopefully the rest of the ground will follow

I must say in recent years the club have taken steps to improve this ground and you can really see the results of the work they have put in. The team have also improved on the field which adds to the match day experience. Gone are the days of aizlewood screaming launch it long. With Greg Walters and his incredible hair in the midfield there is sure to be something for the children less interested in football to enjoy. Carmarthen Town are a true gem of a club and with the stadium with in walking distence form a vape shop it's an absolute must for any football fan in the UK. Get yourself down to Richmond Park for an Old Gold for a game against the likes of Penybont and you are guaranteed to enjoy yourself.

Adjacent parking at reasonable price.One of best grounds in Welsh premier league. Good snack bar .Also good bar serving pre match meals

Richmond Park is my Sporting Spiritual Home. I won my Victor Ludorum here in 1982. I represented my school here on numerous occasions at cricket and football and also learnt Judo here. Now it’s the home ground of Carmarthen AFC!

Easy to find, parking was easy, toilets clean and plenty of refreshments available! Pitch was also perfect!
