Lovely old town, enjoyed the day. Good shopping and food & drink. The only down side was a cheating taxi driver on the way home, beware the price they tell you is not the price they may charge.

Old Nessebar is absolutely stunning. It's full of history and is picture perfect. There's plenty of places to grab a drink and/or bite to eat and every place has a beautiful view whether it be the stunning sea or the beautiful architecture. Its definitely worth a visit.

Chose this restaurant based on rating but subsequently have discovered that many scores are for the town Old Nessebar rather than the restaurant. The setting of the seaside terrace is lovely but there the pleasure ends. The food is at best mediocre, overpriced and the portions are small and the service is erratic. I would not recommend it.

Food wasn't bad, but really overpriced, service wasn't fast, we waited for our drinks more then 15 minutes. One of the ordered positions was mixed up, the other one was not served, but included in the bill. The seaview is awesome.

Very beautiful place with so much history behind it. Would recommend to go with a tour guide if you’re not aware of its history. Restaurants are quite pricey so I wouldn’t recommend going there with a hungry stomach.

One of the best places for sea food in Nessebar. Really nice and friendly waitress, the view is magnifficent and the food delivery is fast. A little flaw is the lack of music, but that doesn't blemish the great experience!

The old town is something different, if you go there before every little shop opens, the town have one charisma, and when the shops open the town is something different, it's like you are in two towns at one place. There is beach you can visit, good coffee, beer and food places and of course shops, I liked that in the old town you can find a small music shop "Supreme Records" where you can find old and new vinyls.

I visited a lot of old towns in Europe, and this is one of the best. In my opinion, some of the best are: Budva, Dubrovnik and Nessebar. The streets are nice to walk, you have a feeling you are walking in an open museum. Most of the shops are nasty and chinese like, but some of them are nice. The overall feeling is great.

Extremely overpriced. It's a typical tourist trap place. For that price I would expect to get at least fresh fish and vegetables, definitely not deep frozen stuff. If you read that just go to one of the places next to it, don't ruin your evening like we did.

Must see location when visiting the Burgas area. There are alot of historical buildings and beautiful scenery. I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds. I arrived around 830 am and the streets were not crowded. Once the shops start opening up you can find many restaurants and do some shopping.

It's a real joy to come back and replenish yourself with the special moments offered by the atmosphere in its entirety.

"Situated on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, the more than 3,000-year-old site of Nessebar was originally a Thracian settlement (Menebria). At the beginning of the 6th century BC, the city became a Greek colony. The city’s remains, which date mostly from the Hellenistic period, include the acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an agora and a wall from the Thracian fortifications. Among other monuments, the Stara Mitropolia Basilica and the fortress date from the Middle Ages, when this was one of the most important Byzantine towns on the west coast of the Black Sea. Wooden houses built in the 19th century are typical of the Black Sea architecture of the period. "

There wasn’t much to do for kids in the area where we were staying apart from the beach and hotel pool. So this aqua park went down a treat. The aqua park offer a shuttle service from a huge number of bus stops around the sunny beach and other adjoining areas. So travel to and from the aqua park was extremely straightforward. They have limited parking available for guests who have access to their own vehicle (but I’m guessing you’ll have to get their early). The aqua park itself was like any other we have visited on previous holidays - similar slides and attractions. The waiting times for slides varied. Popular slides 30-40 minutes, less popular slides almost immediate. I guess it’s all down to the time of year you visit - we visited early august. For a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) we paid approximately £100 for entry. Once you have entered you can purchase a locker for approximately £5. You are not allowed to take any food or drink into the park - they will confiscate it on entry. You will have to buy food and drink on site so don’t bother bringing anything with you. They have a few restaurants which get very busy around lunch time - so perhaps grab an early or late lunch to avoid wasting time in long queues. The prices for meals were not unreasonable. The range of food included pizza and burgers. Very limited vegetarian options but that won’t bother the majority of people. The park is completely cashless, so on entry you will be asked to top up a wrist band that they provide. You use this to make all purchases across the day. The good thing is that you can get the money you do not spend, at the end of your stay, back in cash. So don’t hesitate to put a little extra cash on - you don’t want to have to return to the main desk to top up mid way through your day. The slides at the park range from young toddlers to adults - everyone will find something to do. Overall it was a good day (especially for the kids).

A lot of fun for all-day stay. It is easy to complete all of the tubes id you have desired weight and height. Plenty of good food to choose from. Fun, music, safety, shops for pool related stuff and so on. Just awesome place for family and friends. Just one thing I would like to see on my next visit - some big clock, because it is easy to loose track of time in here :)

An amazing water park. Next door to the hotel so very convenient. Huge park with loads of great slides. Food and drink on site for day guests and hotel guests. Queues very variable, but only long for a couple of the big rides. Staff generally great, seemed conscious of health and safety.

I gave 5 stars to this place because, unlike other water parks across Europe, this place is really for all ages! In most of the water parks, there are very limited slides for kids under 130 cm. In this place, the children slide, and the water zone is absolutely big enough. The place is huge, very well maintained, and food price is normal for such a place - not very expensive. Highly recommended by me!

Excellent place. Loads of rides. Very clean - especially the toilets. Food was surprisingly cheap. Also if you book your ticket online you receive a small discount and if over 65 you receive a very heavily discounted rate which is not available at the door. All in all, a very enjoyable day out. When you arrive you can use your card/cash to add funds to the “electronic wristband” issued on entry. Although this cannot be used at the memento shop but is used for food and drink everywhere else. It’s also used to pay for lockers, etc. if you want a waterproof pouch I suggest you buy one in advance because at £10 equivalent you can probably buy better quality elsewhere rather than on the day.

This is so weird... I am going to give it 4 stars and it is mostly 3,5 to be frank because the complex is just too damn good, which results in it being too crowded and you just have to wait damn too much time for some of the slides. However if you don't mind the wait or just wanna use the lesser used slides it's actually quite fun. Literally the main issue is the wait for the slides, and nothing can be done on this because there are just that many people. Otherwise everything is very good, albeit a bit expensive but I guess it is worth it, considering even with those prices people are flocking here. :)

Definitely 5 stars ! What a great time I had! So many rides ! So much fun! And show and the drinks! Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails. A lot of non alcoholic cocktails there. Highly recommended.

Amazing waterpark We enjoyed it a lot Theres so much stuff to do here you can easily spend your whole day here from opening till closing time I recommend going to the space shuttle and giant slalom first because they are the most busy before closing time and they have the biggest queues from what I’ve seen. When you enter you get a watch and you charge it with money and use it in all the facilities available in the park. We bought the tickets online and it was very efficient and we entered quickly. At around 17:00 theres a feeling that they want to close the place as quickly as possible although they are working till 18:00. I went to the restaurant at 17:00 and it was already closed so i went to the space shuttle at and they told me I could not get in because theres a queue and they are closing the slides at 17:30.. so i went to another slide and waited for like 20 mins and then in 17:30 no matter what they close the slide… so it was almost my turn and i just wasted like 30 mins of running around the park from place to place and doing nothing, it was quite disappointing. But like i said overall it was a good experience and i will come back for sure if im in the area.

I have never been to a park with slides as big as these ones. they are very fun and the bulls are big and clean. There is enough parking space. The lifeguards are very attentive as well. Definitely recommend this place.

This park looks cool, but as I do not like slides I did not try them. We bought full day ticket but spent there only 2-3 h. We went on kids pirate zone which is at the back corner. Water is so cold. Also tried the big pool, waves pool and ate fast food at the caffe. No options of healthy food only junk food as burgers, chicken nuggets and doner kebab. I would not go there again. Once is enough.

The water park is great. This waterpark is very good-looking. Instead of having massive metal towers for the waterslides, they have towers that reassemble a tower. I would happily compare this water park to Siam Park, Siam Park is a better waterpark but only slightly. AquaPark Nassebar has a short walk between slides, unlike other waterparks, where you spend most of the day walking. Also, the hot chocolate they made me at lunch was one of the best I've ever had. Staff were nice, most of which spoke English, which is helpful, they were happy to awner any questions asked.

A beautiful water park in Bulgaria that is very modern, well structured and very large. We had a lot of fun and can definitely recommend the park. The slides are all in good condition and we felt safe at all times. Thanks to the staff who supported us for our YouTube channel "Global Aquaparks". Amazing water park kids loved place had something for everyone at park

Amazing Ruins from the 5th century, the basilica has 3 walls still standing with steps. You can go right up inside. On a sunny day, it looks great. Gets busy, so if you want photos without the crowd in them. Early morning may be a better time to go or out of season. Mind the steps 😉 you can look into a lot of the history of the rebuild if you'd like to know.

The Saint Sofia Church (Bulgarian: църква „Света София“, tsyrkva „Sveta Sofia“) is the oldest church in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, dating to the 4th century. In the predecessor building took place the Council of Serdica held most probably in 343 and attended by 316 bishops. In the 14th century, the church gave its name to the city, previously known as Serdika (Сердика). The church was built on the site of several earlier churches from 4th c. and places of worship dating back to the days when it was the necropolis of the Roman town of Serdica. In the 2nd century, it was the location of a Roman theatre. Over the next few centuries, several other churches were constructed, only to be destroyed by invading forces such as the Goths and the Huns. The basic cross design of the present basilica, with its two east towers and one tower-cupola, is believed to be the fifth structure to be constructed on the site and was built during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the middle of the 6th century (527-565). It is thus a contemporary of the better-known Hagia Sophia church in Constantinople.[1] During the Second Bulgarian Empire (spanning the 12th to 14th centuries), the structure acquired the status of a metropolitan church. In the 14th century, the church gave its name to the city. In the 16th century, during Ottoman rule, the church was converted into a mosque: the original 12th-century frescoes were destroyed and minarets were added. In the 19th century, two earthquakes destroyed one of the minarets and the mosque was abandoned. Restoration work was begun after 1900. The Saint Sofia Church is now one of the most valuable pieces of Early Christian architecture in Southeastern Europe. The present building is a cross basilica with three altars. The floor of the church is covered with complex Early Christian ornamental or flora and fauna-themed mosaics. The Saint Sofia Church stands in the middle of an ancient necropolis and many tombs have been unearthed both under and near the church. Some of the tombs even feature frescoes. Because Saint Sophia represents Holy Wisdom, icons within the church depict Sophia as Christ Emmanuel, a young figure of Christ seated on a rainbow. The church also displays icons of historical saints, including St. George and St. Vladimir.

Set in the middle of Old town Nessebar. Free to walk around and take in. I saw many tour groups but we didn't use a tour ourselves. Makes a lovely day to walk about and take in the many sites and shops. Beautiful place I felt very at home and safe.

"THE CHURCH ST. SOFIA, known as The Old Bishopric, is situated on the place supposed to be the old Centrum of the settlement. It is a three-nave basilica with a semicircular apse, a three-part nartex and an atrium (an inner yard). It is of 25,50 meter length. The central nave is separated from the two side aisles with orthogonal stone columns and brick arches. Above there is a second arcade. There are three arch windows over the apse at the East Side and a two slopes roof structure, not preserved. The apse possesses a synthronon, which can be seen today. Inside the church is plastered up and covered with frescoes. "

What a beautiful place to go and enjoy the culture plus it's historical place in time. This small place was also very busy with traffic, shame really as you have to dodge the cars and vans it should be predestination only. Anyway I would definitely recommend stopping here for the day.

The Church of Saint Sophia in Old Nessebar is really something special. Even though it's in ruins, it's still so beautiful and you can tell it's full of history. I'm no expert, but I'd give it a full 5 stars. It's a must-see if you're visiting the area!

The Basilica "Sveta Sofia" (Old Metropolis) is part of the Architectural-Historical Reserve in the city of Nessebar. The original construction of the temple dates back to the 5th century. It was later reconstructed - approx. VI-VIIv - when the marble block with the inscription: "And let my cry reach You" was embedded. (quote from the Bible - Psalms - 102) - the element was part of another building or of the earlier construction of the same one. It acquired its current form at the beginning of the 9th century. In the Middle Ages, the church served as the cathedral of the metropolitan diocese centered in Nessebar. During the war in 1257, a Venetian fleet led by Giacomo Doro attacked Nessebar and the Venetians looted the temple. They took away the holy relics stored in it - the body of St. Theodore, the hand and jaws of St. Ap. Andrew, the skull of St. Sist and the hand of St. Bartholomew. The relics were transferred first to Constantinople, and then to Venice in the church "St. Salvador", where they are still today. At the end of the 14th-beginning of the 15th century, Mataisa Kantakuzina-Paleologus was buried in "St. Sophia", and the inscription from her tombstone has been preserved to this day. "Saint Sophia" continued to function as a church until the end of the 18th century.

Such a lovely place to visit. Free wine tasting and then you can buy at the end for really reasonable prices (if you want to). The lady that served us was very welcoming, informative and able to speak in different languages which was very impressive. We learnt a lot about different wines and even came back the next day to sit and enjoy more of the blueberry wine, which I loved😋

A great museum full of interesting archaeological items. Their coin collection was outstanding as were their sculptures. I also enjoyed the icons and paintings as well. It was very affordable and I had the place all to myself at this time of year, 3 weeks ago. My only complaint would be that some of the lights were not on during my visit so I couldn't see a lot of the coins and smaller objects very well. This is the reason for four stars. You can take pictures but no flash.

You absolutely have to go here if you are staying in sunny beach if you want a day of history and culture. Want an amazing story this place has going back millennia! Probably best to get the boat here, but the train is also fun.

A must-visit place in the old town of Nessebar. The museum contains various ancient artifacts typical for the region from different ages. There is a collection of Orthodox Christian icons in the basement. Despite the reputation of Sunny beach, it looks like local people prefer the idea for cultural tourism and put efforts to maintain well and develop this as well as other smaller museums in the old town.

Lovely place to visit. It depicts the history of Nessebar. It s the best place to learn about one of the oldest cities in Europe that has been occupied for more than 2000 uninterrupted. It s a good place to start the city tour. You also have a lot of discounts for the rest of the museums and churches.

A great place to see what as here in Nessebar back in the ancient times. There is a wide range of extracted jewelry and coins. Moreover, there is a wide variety of icons back from the middle ages to the 19th century. The museum is located near the sea and the entry of the peninsula. An average tourist can finish it around 10-15 minutes. The entry prices around 3-6 leva.

Why I can't pay and go to aquapark with my Dotter at Birthday ??????????!! Why no information that you working for client's of your hotel only???? I was come from Sofia to Nesebar to Birthday my Dotter and had 5 hous olny !! You stolen My TIME - Price of my time is very high.

In 2020 and 2021 it was wonderful, the prices were decent (about 7leva/person, between 16-19 PM). In 2022 the ticket is 30 leva/person between 15-19 PM!! We were 5 persons (3 adults and 2 small kids), I couldn’t believe we had to pay 150 leva… There is no possibility to pay by card. No exchange in the zone (we couldn’t find one)… We had to leave, our kids were crying… it was the worse experience! And the lady from the entrance is awfull! I can’t describe how rude and mean she is, every year I wonder why is she still there. I don’t recommend the place at all!

great day for the kids (5 and 8 y.old) specially until 16h00. Clear and clean water, lot of place for rest but waitress not very pleasant (when she left, the others were much better). The pools are nice and clean. It's good that it has couple of outside toilets. İn the restaurant there is no big option of food choice, the food isn't too bad. The biggest problem is the drink options, you pay 40 BGN per person and they gave you option of 3 cocktails in the bar (that are absolutely disgusting on taste) It's a good thing that the beer was good. The staff on this property is absolutely trash. The lady on the entry door doesn't know how to smile The barman on the pool bar things he is funny. Generally the whole staff doesn't have experience working with people and are not polite. But I still recommend this place, it was my day off from work and I had great time relaxing with my girlfriend.

Nice park with 5 different pools and bar in one of them. We arrived in the afternoon and paid 90 leva for 2 hours which included free food and drinks. However food and drinks are just cheap stuff, we only took water and fruit. The staff was especially - RUDE -. The lady at the entrance is a witch. She doesn't take cards and basically tells you to f4ck off if you don't have cash. When asked about the nearest ATM she repeated the same invitation to go f4ck off. I don't think I will ever come again... 90 levas for cheap food, and being mistreated, no thank you.

Standing tall and proud on the approach to old town Nessebar as if protecting the town and looking after the souls who work the seas bringing in the fish to the small harbour. Around the foot is a small selection of gift shops and fresh fish and shell fish stalls. You are able to walk the base of the monument but take care, especially with small inquisitive children as there are no railings to stop anyone falling onto the boulders below into the sea. If you appreciate this work of art your going to love what hides in the old town....
