Loved it here. We been here before we had kids, but it has improved since then and my two kids loved it. They loved the outdoor playground, which was very difficult to get them out of. Mona rail was great too.

Lots of childhood memories coming here, not ruined by returning as an adult. It just gets better. Fun for all the family, you don't have to be into cars to enjoy a day out at Beaulieu, but it really helps and you will get a lot more out of the day. The outdoor play park and monorail are excellent. The children really enjoyed it.

Definitely worth getting there as it opens!! My goodness, there is SO MUCH to look at and do, we couldn't fit it all in during a single day and we got there for 10. The food in the cafe was so good, we went in twice. The whole place is so looked after and clean. Staff members are kind and knowledgeable of their work. Happy to have paid gift aid so we get the annual tickets - Definitely coming back!!

We had a great time here, the atmosphere is very relaxed. Good to see the Top Gear vehicles. The monorail was a great trip. Food and refreshments were plentiful and not too expensive. The only down side and it was probably out of their hands was we hired an electric car for the weekend and the chargers were out of order. For us it wasn't a problem as we weren't desperate for juice. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

A fantastic, expansive museum covering many highlights of British motoring and motorbiking development. Vehicles and are in fantastic condition and vary widely by age and origin. Collection of land speed record cars is a must to see! Good accessible location with on-site parking and single ticket entry to both the motor museum and other attractions in Beaulieu. Recommended!

Great day out. Wear your best walking shoes as you'll need them. Mostly accessible. Restaurant not too expensive. Toilets clean. Need around 6 hours to get everything. Pay in advance (with gift aid) and you get a free annual pass to return. Great vegan ice cream options.

Beaulieu is still a great place to visit. Especially if it's your first time. The cars are fun to see and some of the history as you follow the exhibits is really special. Some downsides are that I feel many areas are due a refresh. Parts of the museum look a little tired. Much of it hasn't changed in decades. In some ways it's nice for personal nostalgia but on the whole, updating is needed. The canteen in my view also needs improving. I felt the food was expensive for what you get, and we were kept waiting a long time. Perhaps a system to separate coffee and hot food, from cold drinks and snacks would help. Also dining area seating was lacking if wet outside. Anyhow, overall, still a very enjoyable place to visit! The grounds are fantastic too as are the staff. Many thanks.

Top gear show somewhat disappointing. Main car experience is far smaller than I’d hoped for. Gardens not at their best (seasonal), house impressive if that’s your thing. For me, the best part of my day was the pond walk. I loved the tree carving and the walk itself was beautiful. I’m sure the children will enjoy the monorail.

A fun packed day out for the family. Main exhibition building charts the history of the motor car right up to the modern day including world landspeed record cars. Outside there is a monorail which goes around the gardens and through the roof of the exhibition centre. Other exhibitions include Top Gear featuring many cars from the series. There's also a show of cars from famous movies including James Bond. There's a cafeteria and tea shop on site. Toilets clean and functional. Well stocked gift shop. Kids play area in the gardens. Bus tours. Family house. Free parking. Not sure how busy it gets in the summer as this was February. Check prices as its not cheap.

Beautiful place, very well organized. Lots to do for kids and parents. A bit pricey, the combo ticket is £28/£29 per adult but includes parking, The National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Palace House & Gardens, Little Beaulieu, Beaulieu Abbey, The Secret Army Exhibition and unlimited rides on the monorail. Is it possible to skip the Motor Museum and the price drops sensibly. I would suggest going on a sunny day, and bring your own food as there are lots of places where to sit and have a picnic.

Amazing day out, and we didn't get around all of it! Lots of parking with good access for visitors with disabilities. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, with helpful guidance on getting the most out of the day. The motor museum itself was our main aim, and there is plenty to keep everyone interested. The exhibits are all in very good condition, and really provide a "time warp" perspective. Well worth a visit any time of year.

There a lot of things to do here. The main attraction is the motor museum, very nicely laid out, with a lot of vintage, modern and some unusual cars. Without a doubt one of the best motor museum. I’m less interested about it, but they also have motorbikes and race cars. About the other attractions, you have an exhibition about Top Gear, cars used in movies, a monorail, a vintage bus, an abbey, a house, gardens and a museum about war. It’s really nice to spend a summer day with a picnic. It took us almost 6 hours to do everything at a quiet pace. We then went to Beaulieu village, which is beautiful.

Returned for a visit for the first time in 28 years when I visited as a child. Unfortunately I found it quite disappointing. Feels very dated and the museum is smaller than I remember. Could do with with some new investment - in particular more interactive features would be good for children. In addition, it’s not particularly pushchair/wheelchair friendly in all areas which was surprising.

Such a full day, we stayed way longer than we expected as there're so many things to see. Personal highlight was the falconry training session, absolutely fascinating and unique. The Museum is vast but very well curated with everything looking beautiful and no busyness. There were a few cars I would have liked some more specific information about, such as their life before the museum, because i like a few memorable stories. Loved the land speed section. The grounds were a little busy and hectic with sculptures when we visited, but we could still find calm looking over the water near the palace.

Supercar weekend was brilliant despite the rain. We saw all of our favorite cars and also went around the palace house, which is included with your entry tickets and really nice. Pay in advance for the cheaper option tickets. There is so much to see and do there if your car lover then definitely go! Food stalls on the special weekends are on the expensive side, the restaurant was really busy, picnic are great when it's not raining. Great for kids and families, it's our second visit, and we we're not disappointed at all.

This is a fantastic place to go for a day out, whether you're a couple or have kids there is so much to do and see. We spent about 3.5 hours here. It's expensive but you definitely get more than you pay for and the food is reasonable. Do get the ice cream it's fantastic. The main attraction is the motor museum, despite not being into cars, it was an amazing collection, fascinating history and the staff are brilliant at explaining facts about the cars. It's got a little bit devoted to top gear which was cute and entertaining. If you're not a car enthusiasts there is a fun monorail, a little bus to drive you about. A beautiful Abbey that is well maintained and the ground have gorgeous art and wild birds like pheasants running around. The kitchen garden are delightful and they even have a bird if prey display. Should that not be enough the view back into the village over the lake is idyllic. The manor house is pretty too. Wear trainers!

I loved this museum! Such a beautiful piece of history. There are a lot of things to do and their shop have some good organic stuff like apple juice. 🩷

Visited for the first time in over 10 years and greatly enjoyed! Got discounted entry as had a blue light card and were impressed with the ticket becoming an annual ticket (for museum) as we added gift aid. Museum had so many different vehicles in, we easily spent close to 2 hours walking round. Other exhibitions were good too, particularly enjoyed the Cars on Screen one. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning again and soon!

Beaulieu is a very educational & interesting place to visit. Loads of old cars, classic cars, fast cars & famous cars!! We enjoyed the free monorail ride around the grounds, which inspired us to go & explore the beautiful lake, gardens & house on foot. We had lunch in the café/ restaurant & were surprised that it wasn't completely overpriced. The gift shop is pretty good. Not cheap to get into the museum but worth it!! Definitely recommend.

I loved the experience in this place! My little one enjoyed the train and the playground which is amazing. A few activities to do, coffee was good as well. With the price i didn't expect to need coins inside to play with the screen cars or the cars with remote, it should include a bit of that. But the rest was really really good! Worth the visit!

Worth the price for a visit. You don't just get the motor museum but also the Palace, the gardens and the Abbey. Plenty to see. The car museum is amazing and a must for motoring enthusiasts. A great day out. You could easily spend a whole afternoon there.

A grand day out - if you gift aid your entry then the ticket becomes an annual pass ( some T and Cs) - interesting museum - though it would for me have added to the interest if vehicle descriptions told a bit of the history of the actual car on display - that would have made the experience more personal. That aside well presented exhibits - but no touching. Palace house looking good and with new carpets ! All in all a good day out.

Never been before, but always wanted to visit. Lots to see, really interesting and enjoyable. A really neat, clean, and well played out site. Lots of friendly, polite, and welcoming staff. Cafe is good too, and in addition to the motoring museum, there is a Top Gear display, and the house is open to the public. Monorail ride, vintage bus ride, and a display for the SOE. It's a great day out.

Spent the whole day here, looking at old cars and bicycles, riding on the open top bus and monorail, walking along paths of wild spring flowers to the gallery housing Russian paintings, the monastery and last but nor least the fabulous house. A great day out.

Kayaking with Amy was a great experience. Such an experienced guide. Showed us many things around the river banks and made this an adventure for the kids. It was raining, but that made it even better as the wildlife was out and everything else was quiet.

We did the Mothers Day Paddle to the Pub yesterday - fantastic experience. My Wife said it was a great memory that she and the kids will remember, Canoe'ing down the river which was super calm, quiet, weather was perfect. The instructor was polite and knew all sorts of interesting things about wildlife and history of places along the river. Made for a really good, enjoyable and fun day out for the family.

Great company! The team were really helpful and friendly, talked us through basic safety and key wildlife to keep a look out for. Easy to find, free parking available. Dry bags provided for free which was a bonus!

I organised this for the men in my life as a gift. I went for archery out of their list of activities as it felt the most accessible to the complete beginner. Located in the New Forest not far from the centre of Beaulieu; needless to say it was a lovely location, I waited in the car and planned to read a book but Kestrels and the many hedgerow birds feeding their broods kept distracting me from my mission! I'm pleased to say they reported back a great facilitator, generous time and equipment access. I would recommend this company and this activity

Today whilst on our family holiday in the New Forest, we decided to book a 90-minute family canoeing activity at New Forest Activities. We arrived early and were met by our guide Ant, we were issued our life vests and equipment and headed to the lake, we were guided by Ant to different waypoints on the lake. The canoes were easy to control and lots of fun once you got used to keeping the boat balanced. The activity was good fun and our guide Ant was a very friendly, knowledgeable and polite guy. The review would have got 5* but the price in my opinion is high.

I can only recommend! Instructors are lovely and you can get a kayak and go off by yourselves instead of having to stick with a group (You will definitely get wet though so bring spare clothes)

I did laser tag at this place on my Birthday and I absolutely loved it! You have a great variety of games to play against the other team, amazing terrain to run around in, and the guns are lightweight and easy to use! No massive baggy equipment to wear on your shoulders either, just a headband. Just be careful that it can still be very muddy there, even in sunny weather. So make sure you wear boots instead of shoes.

We had a lovely paddle with the truly phenoms Ben. He was incredibly patient with our group of overly rowdy middle-aged women and really made sure we had a great time. And despite our decrepitness we loved having a warm hot chocolate on the water - excellent touch!

Oh I really didn't have alot of hope for a fun day (weather started off pants, guy at reception could be more pleasant, first look was meh) but boy was I wrong... The lady who was instructor (can't recall her name) was brilliant, was one other couple and she made sure we felt like a group. The archery was amazing beautifully instructed and safety measures on point. Games where super enjoyable and the time flew by. Definitely doing this again as it was one of the best couple things we have done outside of diner and drinks.... Amazing that the sun come out as well

We did the fathers day "Paddle to the Pub" - it was brilliant. The instructor was absolutely great, she put everyone at ease and handled the group (and my two small children) beautifully (I think her name was Miya? sorry!). She was also extremely knowledgeable and professional. The paddle was a lovely fathers day experience and all of us enjoyed in thoroughly. Thank you very much!

It was my first time kayaking and I was a little nervous, but had a really wonderful time. The instructor (Chris) was really good at explaining everything and the sit-on kayak felt very stable. The river was lovely and quiet, and utterly beautiful. Chris shared some really interesting facts about the river as we explored. The location is great, changing rooms, cafe, toilets. Very happy with my first experience kayaking.

We had a great time doing archery as a couple for the first time. The group was small enough that we had a target each for the whole session so feel we got our money’s worth. The team were very flexible with us rebooking our session.

Tom (Lovejoy) was our guide and he was fantastic. We had a 2 hour paddle on the river for our daugher's birthday. There were 8 girls who all had a great time. He gave us some history about the river, we were able to admire some moon jelly fish and he was just great fun. The people I spoke to at New Forest Activities when I booked the party were really helpful and went through everything with me. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I really recommend this company.

Visited this place with my family to try out archery. We had a great instructor, Ellen. She taught me how to shoot very quickly (first time for me) and we spent lots of time playing games and doing different challenges. It was very interesting and the time went past quite fast. Also we met a very friendly doggy, Prim. My youngest son spent at least half an hour playing with her. We all really enjoyed our visit here :)

Thanks to Chris for an excellent archery session. His tuition was great and we all felt like we'd learnt some good skills and had fun along the way. The archery field was well set up too.

This was a surprise birthday present for a friend and it was a lot of laughs. Chris the instructor made it fun but had lots of interesting snippets of information about archery which was fab. A really good fun experience- we’ll definitely visit again!

6/8/2023 Kayaking (Bucklers Hard) - 2 Hours Me and 6 others lads went kayaking with the instructor Ben at Bucklers hard. What an experience even after a capsize l.:)) Ben was fantastic. We had a mixed bunch of newcommers/experienced individuals and Ben took the time to get to know us and teach us. So many times, this is not done properly. I have kayaked a few times, and this by far was the best experience I have had by a country mile. We were only in the water for 2 hours But there was plenty to do. Next to the sea 🌊:)

The instructor is great, and very informative of archery information and facts. We’ve done archery before but loved that our instructors heart was in the sport too. It made the day even better! Played some archery games too.

We went canoeing on a very windy day but it was still a lovely experience. Jack the instructor was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and history of the river. We had a great time and would definitely do it again as the scenery is beautiful and on a sunny tranquil day it would be even better!

The spooky Halloween river tour was excellent! Great fun provided by the 2 guides we had who made the evening perfect. Good stories and beautiful views. I thought it might have been more for kids but was pleasantly surprised how it was fun for adults too. Definitely recommended!

8 of us went on the battle and boats activities and everyone had a blast! So much fun, instructors were great and had some great stories. Thoroughly recommend.

Our guides were patient and wonderful and made the trek fun and not too hard! They had broad and interesting knowledge about our surroundings, and made 2 hours go by quickly!

Good sized car park, but I always miss the entrance tucked away on the side road. Nice pond saw cormorants, swans and ducks on the water. Lovely for sunsets over the water.

Easy to find between Beaulieu and Lymington. Nice place to start a walk in the forest or spend time at Hatchet Pond. No toilets or cafe but an ice cream van regularly attends. Car park gets very busy / full in peak season.

Nice get away, great to look at and escape. Unfortunately, you do get the local idiots in their groups that spoil it or dog walkers that don't have their pets under control or pick up the mess they leave behind

Lovely little lake. Perfect for cooling your dog. Spending time with your family. Ideal for picnic. Big enough car park.

Great place to stop for a break and to sit back and watch the wildlife in and around the pond. Is a favourite place of mine (and many others) to sit and watch the sunset. Not a particularly long walk for you and the dogs but still good enough to get out and for everyone to stretch their legs! Here are a few shots I took of the winter sunset in December 2021.

Very enjoyable circular walk around the pond. Plenty of car parking and a nice stop if you want to have a picnic. From here there are also longer circular walks that can be done. Also if you are a fan of Geocaching there is a nice fun one to find😃

Lovely place, chilled by the lake. Spot of paddle boarding. Car park does get busy so arrive early. Toilets were closed due to covid but still had great fun.

Enjoyable stroll around the Pond with New Forest Ponies, donkeys & swans on our visit. Free parking, the toilets were closed may be due to Covid-19, but the building looked in a bad state of repair. No swimming signs, but children swimming?

Perfect view for sunset, especially for the new forest. It's also a popular spot for photographers. Family friendly areas too with the exception of donkeys which do chase you and try and nab you.

Beautiful scenery with swans seagulls and other birds. A quiet place to have a walk and fresh air. The day I went was cold and unfortunately we couldn’t spend enough time to explore but we will go back. The grey swan is an antisocial social swan. He will follow you from the water but if you go closer it will hish at you. Great day out for the children too.

Very nice pub in the new forest. Great car park, welcome to sit and have lunch, nice protocol, tasty food with lots of sauces in the plate and good service having the attention you just need. Clean restaurant and beautifil decoration. Very recommended.

Food was delicious. Parking was available and getting a table even though it was full it was mission successful. I would say it's the best place to eat out in whole Beaulieu . Keep the standard as we will see you again soon.

This was just mine feeling picky and a little fussy, but still great service and very helpful. Lovely setting, old school authentic English pub. Catered for my cousins birthday and brang her dessert out with a candle as we all sung for her. Thank you for a good experience and food was lovely too. Will definitely return and recommend to others

We are staying in Beaulieu and visited the Royal Oak for dinner on our last night. I had the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and my partner had the steak & ale pie 🥧, both were delicious. A proper pub, with a good choice of beers, and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

Great food and Big portions! Lots of gluten free options, and also a menu for smaller appetites - a really good choice for meal with friends or family. Friendly staff and a nice location for a walk around to see the ponies and donkeys, also close to Beaulieu village and Hatchet Pond which is a lovely place to walk around.

Very good food and service. We will come again and definitely recommend. We are staying in the local area and the dining option at our hotel was too expensive. This was very good value for money, the food was delicious huge pizza and a delicious burger and then cheesecake and ice cream. Service was quick and they were very helpful and friendly. My partner and I got a bit lost, popped in for something to eat, and were really happy with our meals. We ordered a lamb roast dinner and the steak and ale pie. Everything was fresh, the pie was homemade and it was all nice and hot and presented well. The staff were nice and friendly and the venue was clean. We would recommend this venue to others, and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

We visited this pub with family. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was decent but the food took some time to come out. They offer a good range of beers on tap. The pub can get busy as it's in a prime location so make sure you book if you really want a table. There are plenty of tables outside for extra space. The menu was a bit strange as it was a massive wooden thing, I'd ditch these in favour of a more simple one. The food was excellent value for money. I had a chicken, ham and leek pie. It was really tasty, my partner had the dirty burger which was superb. The pizza my mum had was so big she took some of it home as it was so tasty. Children's menu was good and my daughter loved the mac and cheese. Overall these were great portions and decent prices. I'd say this is a good pub and good value for money. We were so full we couldn't even contemplate the desert menu. Well worth the visit.

This is a fabulous pub.. Lovely welcome, so warm and cosy on a wet day outside. There is a super varied menu . We selected salmon from the specials board and two pan fried chickens from the main menu all were superb with top quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Can't recommend this pub highly enough and it's dog friendly.Thank you Victoria.

Lovely pub with a good rear garden which is a real sun trap. Breakfast is really tasty with plenty of choice on the menu. Plenty of parking out the front. Good hospitality services within with plenty of staff to serve. A second visit and the food was again really tastey and freshly cooked! Good prompt service with a smile. Car park was busy which is always a good sign for a welcoming pub.

Had a meal and a couple of drinks with my other half. Food and drink options where good, the fishcakes were nice but wasn't overly keen on the pulled beef pie, but that's just me as everyone's taste are different. Nice location in the new forest, friendly staff and good vibe.

Spent a glorious day here in the September sunshine. Started on the monorail. Thought we were going to be there all day as we couldn't get the door open and the guard forgot us. Still laughing. Went to the Motor Museum next. Fascinating. Took a ride on the old style bus and walked back up through the Riverside walk and the gardens, looking at the sculpture exhibition. Then had some of the best ever fish and chips, followed by chocolate sundae, in The Brabazon Restaurant and Coffee Shop. Finally, went back down to the old ruins and cloisters to see the historic exhibition there,

I first visited this beautiful house and grounds about 60 years ago when my family use to travel down from Lancashire on what was then their annual holidays. I have been back many times since and been privileged to see the growth of, what is now the National Motor Museum. The museum was opened in 1952 as the Montagu Motor Museum and became a charitable trust in 1972. At that time many of the exhibits were displayed in the hall of the manor house, Lord Montagu’s home. It contains an important collection of historic motor vehicles, including four world land speed record holders: Sir Malcolm Campbell's 1920 Sunbeam 350 hp His son Donald Campbell's 1961 Bluebird - Proteus CN7 The 1927 Sunbeam 1000 hp ( the first motor car to reach 200 miles per hour (322 km/h ) The 1929 Irving-Napier Special Golden Arrow. Beaulieu Palace House was originally built in the 13th century as the gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey. Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries, the estate was purchased by Sir Thomas Wriothesley, later 1st Earl of Southampton, in 1538. The house passed through marriage into the Montagu family and is still owned by the 1st Earl's descendant, The 4th Baron Montagu of Beaulieu. The house was extended in the 16th century, and again in the 19th century, and is today a fine example of a Gothic country house. The house overlooks the beautiful Beaulieu River and is surrounded by lawns and walkways. The inside of the house has been kept in a Victorian style. Although still home to the current Lord and Lady Montagu, parts of the house and gardens are open daily to the public. The Palace House is open to the public as part of the visitor attraction which includes: Beaulieu Abbey National Motor Museum Beaulieu Palace House World of Top Gear Secret Army Exhibition - an exhibit about the Special Operations Executive training at Beaulieu during World War II Gardens A monorail and rides. Visitors have been exploring the ruins of Beaulieu Abbey since 1912. In 1952, Edward, Lord Montagu opened Palace House and Gardens to the public for the first time – making Beaulieu among the first stately homes to admit visitors. For the grand opening, he displayed five Veteran cars in the entrance hall of the house as a tribute to his late father, John Douglas - Scott-Montagu, who was a motoring advocate and pioneer at the turn of the last century. Beaulieu, is said to be one of the most haunted places in Britain, with reported sightings going back over a hundred years and possibly as far as the mid 16th century. Numerous paranormal investigators have conducted research at the abbey, including Arthur Conan Doyle, who it is claimed made contact with a ghost during a séance at Palace House. A lady in blue or grey, reportedly sighted walking through walls and making a lot of noise in the private apartments, is believed to be the ghost of the Countess of Beaulieu, Lady Isabella, who died in 1786. The smell of incense, which allegedly signals tragedy for the people of the abbey or the village, was also reported by Edward Douglas - Scott-Montagu, 3rd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu among others in a room of the Palace House used as a chapel in the Middle Ages.

All you can see from the abbey is the ruins. But it is very interesting to see how it used to be and to learn a bit more about the lives of the monks. You can also see the chapel but it was close for service while we were here. So we haven’t been inside unfortunately.

Most of the Abbey is a ruin now, but you can still see the footprint and layout of this ecclesiastical place. Several buildings survive including the Church and Domus. The Abbey museum takes you through the history of this place and what it was like for the Benedictine monks and lay brothers who lived there. They maintained good infirmary facilities to look after their own. Don't miss the upstairs exhibition of Lady Montagu's Wall Hangings which tell the story of Beaulieu Abbey from it's foundation in 1204 to it's dissolution in 1538.

Absolutely stunning setting for this little 13th century gem. In the grounds of the Beaulieu Motor Museum lies the serene Beaulieu Abbey and Beaulieu parish church (which used to be the Cistercian monks refectory) The gardens surrounding it are well stocked and very calming after the hubbub in the excellent museum. We spent a long time here in this quiet spot just absorbing the atmosphere and enjoying the plants and the history. Some of the buildings there, the Abbey Domus upper floor for example, are not accessible to anyone in a wheelchair but that didn't put a dampener on my lovely time there. I would love to return.

Beaulieu abbey is defiantly worth a visit, there are only two buildings left in it, one is the Domus and the other the Church. There was a lot about the history of the abbey and the monks that lived there. There are also maps showing the parts of the Abbey that still stand and showing what would be the Abbey when first built.

Lovely church .made a debit card donation (which was handy as no cash on us) my husband and I lit a candle to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary..

Beautiful walk around the Abbey and surrounding areas. A must see. My 5 year old and 17 year old and myself 30 something all got enjoyment out of the Abbey.

There are no clear signs for the entry for the house so it is very difficult to find. The entry is through the Motor museum! The locals in the village informed us that the lord does not wish to have signs and this way he discourages visitors to come. After studying history of country houses and wanting to see the architecture and organization of space, and traveling from Europe to see this one, it was a huge disappointment having to deal with this obstacle. We almost did not make it. Other than that, the available space for viewing is spectacular and very special for being so historically rich.

The palace is worth the drive. So much history and the grounds are lovely. Lots of sculptures along peaceful walkways.

Although it was a cloudy day, we were cheered by the beautiful carpet of daffodils near the house. Inside, the origins of the building are visible in the vaulted roofs. The house has a homely feel, with loads of interesting exhibits and paintings. Well worth a visit.

Nice heritage museum. Various exhibitions on site, small souvenirs shop. Extra bonus, it's refreshingly cool in here after spending some time walking around outside on a hot summer day.

Great place to go with kids. Lots to do and run around and they are never bored. No ride queues and all round family fun.

Very nice indeed. Situated in the same grounds as the Beaulieu National Motor Museum, there are extensive gardens and parkland surrounding the Palace House. Interiors are palatial, plenty of information about the house and volunteers in period costumes will tell you anything you'd like to know. I particularly liked the sense of continuity of the same family well illustrated in some intimate family portraits and group paintings. One of our party bumped into the current head of family and was warmly welcomed, well worth a visit.

Very quiet when we visited due to an Audi Show going on at the adjoining Motor Museum. It's full of history with well thought out display boards and the staff were all incredibly friendly.

Beautiful house inside and out. It was a real pleasure visiting it. The staff was kind and friendly and let us visit at our own pace. Also the architecture of the palace is really beautiful. I loved it!

The Hedge End branch of the Mothers' Union visited St Nicholas Church where we were hosted by the Brockenhurst Mothers' Union. We were given a fascinating talk on the history of the church, in particular the significance of the modern stained glass windows on the north side. The church dates from Saxon times but has been added on over the years. The yew tree outside is over 1000 years old.

Wonderful Saxon church with an unexpected history with New Zealand troops in WW1, and beautifully decorated inside. Worth a stop by.

Beautiful Norman Church set up the hill from the picturesque town of Brockenhurst. With many notable people buried in it's grounds, including Brusher Mills the New Forest Snake Catcher and a an emotive memorial to the New Zealand soldiers and the army hospital as well as beautiful stained glass windows, it's worth visiting.

St Nicholas Church is the oldest church in the New Forest and is mentioned in the Domesday book, written in 1086. The Church is well worth a visit. There is so much local history to see here. You will need to take your time as there are some hidden gems that could be missed. For example there is a scratch dial on the right side of the porch as you enter the Church. This is an early sun dial telling the time but only the time relevant to Church services. The doorway is a wonderful piece of Norman architecture. Inside, there is a small historical exhibition on the Indian army hospital that was created nearby in World War One and later taken over by the New Zealand army medical Corp. There is a New Zealand memorial stained glass window. In the afternoon there are often local guides on site to show you around the church. They are very welcoming and have a good knowledge of the local history. If they are not available there is a well written guide leaflet that points out the highlights to see inside. Outside there is a large Yew tree, believed to be about 1000 years old. In the churchyard there is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission area with over 100 graves of New Zealanders and other nationalities, including three Indian soldiers. The famous snake catcher of the New Forest, Brusher Mills is buried here. St Nicholas Church is a short walk from Brockenhurst railway station. There is a reasonable amount of car parking space outside. This is well worth visiting. As a historian, I thoroughly recommend it.

As others have said this is well worth a stop. So much history. The inside of the church is amazing and the stained glass windows incredible. Walk around the cemetery and its a very peaceful poignant place. Definitely worth the time spent. The gentleman that met us at the entrance was so knowledgeable about the church and the history. Was a pleasure to stop and talk to him. Thoroughly recommend.

Interesting place to visit. Explains all about the WW1 hospital which looked after the Indian and then New Zealand solders.

Very pretty in the late afternoon sun. Mostly gravel paths but still needed our wellies in places. Great walk enjoyed by lots of families and their dogs. Parking nearby with an ice cream van in attendance when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely place to while away a couple of hours.

There are many places on New Forest to park and visit. This was another one were we parked and were able to see wild animals even from the park.

Lovely area to visit all year round, lots of walks and open area to explore. The kids love the stream which is perfect for paddling in. There is often a ice cream van here as well.

My longest walk in the New Forest so far, great company and beautiful walk!

Great place for a walk or just sit and relax. Wild horses roam free here. There's a toilet here too so convenient if you need a pot stop.

We always have a lovely walk here with the dogs. The grandchildren enjoy playing in the stream, seeing the ponies and having a ice - cream on warmer day's. I do recommend wellies in the winter, it can get a bit muddy in places but it doesn't make the walk any less enjoyable. 🙂🐾🐾

Lovely place in the new forest great big green field to play ball with kids just mind the wild animals. Toilets were cleaned and kept up keep on them. There's two walks yo can choose a mile walk or 1.5 miles. In the summer it's a lovely place to take children they can paddle in the stream. Lots of wildlife we we saw a frog when we went there highly recommend this place

Beautiful walks from this location in the New Forest. Open green fields, tree lined paths, forests and streams. The quiet town of Brockenhurst is only minutes away.

Beautiful place for an easy walk in the forest. There are toilets in the car park and sometimes an ice cream van.

Wonderful beautiful place. You can bike hire for the whole day, go through the woods and find these hidden gems. Cycling with the horses, dipping in the water bodies, nice picnic in the meadows, wonderful british summer day

What a lovely little shop this is. Large variety of different types of chocolate products in all forms of types and shapes. All made locally. You can find some very unique flavour chocolate bars in there. I definitely recommend trying their own gelatos. Selection might not be extensive but boy, the flavour and the richness of it is outstanding.

Popped into beaulieu chocolate studio to stock up on their lovely chocolate buttons for my daughter and saw they had a special Columbian 45% milk button... Oh my word! So happy I picked them up! Most delicious flavourful milk chocolate I've had in years! I'm usually a dark chocolate fan since working in another chocolate shop myself for 9 years but these buttons were creamy, smooth, rich yet delicate. We noticed they had a refill station of buttons which is excellent, not that their packaging is ever excessive anyway. Staff were very friendly, helpful but not intrusive. Thank you for a lovely experience. Also the chocolate button was great paired with an after dinner coffee as an alternative dessert

The rum and raisin ice cream is the best I've ever had. The shop is super cute and quaint. Very happy friendly lady serving too. If you are this way then definitely go in and try the delicious delights here

We bought a selection of chocolate from Beaulieu chocolate studio this Christmas. I have only bought chocolate from here for the last 7 years as it is our favourite. The Santas we bought as gifts were brilliant and I have to say, if you like Whisky, and I do, the dark stem gingers go superbly with 12yr old Balblair malt Whisky. Thank you Beaulieu Chocolate studio, see you soon when we will be back to stock up again.
