This is as far as the Snowdon Mountain Railway goes at the moment with the last 1/4 leg of the journey to the summit closed until further notice. If you buy the return ticket they only let you stay 30 mins here once you arrive otherwise they don't guarantee you a seat on the return trip which is inconvenient. Bearing this in mind, even with the cheaper £29 'early bird' tickets which we bought we thought it was expensive, they also charge you an extra 3.50 fee for booking online. Other than that I felt that the views from the station back down the mountain and towards Llanberis are only so so compared to the summit, which is an additional 1ish hour trek from this station, and so the 30 mins they give you isn't enough to trek up to the summit. Make sure you go to the toilet first before boarding the train as there are no toilets nor other facilities up here.If I were you though I'd wait for the railway to reopen all the way back to the summit before considering coming. See the photos I've posted to get an idea of the views from the station. If you really want to come make sure you come on a clear day otherwise it is a total waste of time and money and check the weather forecast before booking tickets online as there are no refunds.

This review is based on my personal experience on the day. We booked the tickets for the 2nd of April 2024, early afternoon. First thing I must say it's the car park, £12.50 for the day and the automatic machines don't work with Debit card or contact less. I used Ring Go. Then we jumped on the train, seats were really wet and not heating . When we reach the top of the mountain we couldn't see a thing due to the fog. Soo we jumped backed on the train and waited half an hour for it's departures. Basically for my family of 4 I spent £127 plus parking. For a trip on a cold diesel trian. Soo for that day I had to give 2 stars . Maybe if it was nice and clear it would have been a different experience.

The station is at 775m and at the time we went up the rails onwards to the top were being repaired. The train stops just above the Llanberis path and has great views. We were just below the cloud which was forecast in the Met Web page as being at 800m for most of the time we were there. The train waits for the 30m stop so if the weather changes then you have some shelter. Check the mountain forecast ahead so you know how to dress. It. An be cold there even on a sunny day.

Great views once you get higher up. The tickets were expensive though and it was a hot day and the interior of the train was clean but really hot (not much ventilation). It was a good experience though to see the views and easier than walking it!

Fabulous scenic ride up Snowdon shame it only goes three quarters of the way up at the moment. Very busy need to book several days before to have a good choice of journey times, we booked the day before and only 2 slots available mid afternoon.

Great morning on the train, met some interesting people on way up. Would recommend commentary on train as lots of history over 100 years of train journeys and amazing views from Clogwyn of Anglesey and Wales. Superb

Recently had the pleasure of visiting Mountain Station, and I must say it was an experience like no other. Situated in the majestic Snowdonia mountain range, this destination offers a combination of a great view, an exhilarating train journey, and easy travel arrangements. Arrived at 11 o clock. The first available train was 12:30, the trip took 2 hrs . There were no trains available when we arrived back. The fare was £32 pound return. Thcar Park across the road was £11. The train only went 3/4 of the way up, but the views were fantastic.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, even if the summit is closed (we only went to the 1st stop). Our Guard was great, full of information (who knew one of the original engines rolled off the track and fell into the valley below (in about 1893)).

Would have given 5 stars but it didn't go all the way to the summit of Snowdon. We were sat right behind the guard at the front of the train (compartment A), which was great.

Although I wasn't able able to get to the summit and the train was rather expensive costing £160 for a family of four it was well worth it for the view.

Really interesting place to visit, loved learning about slate mining in Wales. Plenty to see, really enjoyed the trip back in time visiting the miners cottages. The staff were very friendly and informative. The cafe was very good, the soup was delicious. There is a nice gift shop with a reasonable range of items. Entry to the museum is free.

Had a great experience here and got a free lesson on slate making. It's much bigger than I expected with friendly staff. Set in brilliant scenery you are certainly guaranteed to learn a lot about this historic industry that has shaped the culture and landscape of Wales so greatly.

What a fabulous pace to visit parking is £5 for the day. Museum is free and it's fab so much history and things to do. It has a cafe on site a small playground and a gift shop. Outside 2 Minute walk across the way is the lake railway again with small cafe and shop. £10.50 adult return journey about hour total .. the views are spectacular out of this world. A lovely day out for families wheelchair friendly.

Visited in August 2019, when I had my holiday in Wales. I spent a whole day in Llanberis, taking the railway to the summit and look around in the village. To be honest, it wasn't the best museum I've seen, but at some point was interesting. Even to see tools they used a few decades ago or see the photos and videos, the decorated showrooms, was shocking, pulled me back in time , when people had more difficult life than we have nowadays. Seeing that extremely heavy work and the conditions those people worked in, the almost nothing health and safety really made me feel sad about them. We should appreciate better what we have today: easier jobs and lifestyle. True that we can learn there a lot about mining and good that it is free.

This was a nice little surprise… spent a good couple of hours here having a wander around. If you get the chance, sit in on the slate splitting session.. very interesting and very funny too, the experts were quite engaging and full of knowledge 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Also, do not miss out on viewing the water wheel… stunning piece of history 🤩

I'm stunned that something like this is free entry. Very well set up, beautifully presented and the activities are brilliant. We all loved it. My 6½yr old loved exploring it.

Everyone should visit here. Such a great site to visit for free. All the old equipment and stories of the men/women who worked in the industry and good to hear and understand the heritage. John was so informative when demonstrating splitting the slat and knew his stuff!

Brilliant place to visit the surrounding views are amazing. Very interesting insight on what life was like. We loved visiting the houses and the blacksmith demonstration. Loved the smell in some of the work spaces if brought me back to when I would watch my grandad work in his work shed. There's a little play area for the kids and a cafe with baby changing facilities. I can't believe it's free to visit too!

Excellent museum, staff are really friendly. The demonstration of the slate cutting was really interesting. Well worth a visit, child friendly and also plenty of access for wheel chairs.

We visited the Llanberis national slate museum recently. It was our second visit to the museum. Its such an interesting place. Upon arrival the staff are very welcoming and offer a free guide leaflet listing all the interesting parts of the museum. You get a real sense of hard the working life was of the slate miners. There is a café located on this site. We stopped over for coffee and cakes 🎂. This museum is well situated close to the centre of Llanberis a short walk 🚶‍♀️ from all the local amenities. You must definitely pop in . It's free but please offer a donation to support the upkeep. We had an excellent visit 😀 👍🏻

Very good place to visit. Loads of things to see and most surprisingly kids did not get bored. They were interested during the movie (How to steal a mountain) and also the slate splitting demonstration, two activities that I would recommend not missing. Free entrance so you can buy something on the cafe shop and souvenir shop. Reasonable prices and good quality on both.

Great place. Friendly staff. Good café. Really interesting displays. You get to see a live demonstrating of skate cutting and can see everything as it was back in the day in the huge workshops. The big water wheel is impressive as well.

It's a good day out for the family with plenty to do in the museum and in the surrounding area. Entry to the museum is free so you can't argue with that. The staff are nice and friendly and very informative. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

One of the most interesting experience and undervalued things to do in North Wales. Being a free museum, I expected a small and not so attractive museum, but it surprised me and was one of the most interesting experiences. The flow is excellent, the information good, the representation also. It was pretty big and has lots of interest zone. If you are into it you can easily spend half a day in there. From time to time, there are free shows with live demonstrations with cutting slates, making an iron spoon etc. The shop is also very nice and you can find there nice souvenirs (which I didn't see anywhere else)

Lovely musuem, rich in local history that is free to enter! We particularly enjoyed the slate demonstration and loved the fact that the guy doing this was fourth (I think!) generation of slate miners so had loads of knowledge and hilarious stories to tell. My husband also loved the machine shop and tried to convince me that he needed one of the big lathes (absolutely not!). We spent around three hours here, but would have been longer if it wasn't raining!

Fab museum lots to see. Lovely surroundings too. Well laid out museum. Good videos and nice in person demo of how to slice slate and the tools they use. Nice to see the workers terraces rebuilt as they would have through time. Lovely cafe and nice gift shop too. Can't believe its a free museum. Easy to park and lots to see around the museum too like the railway and walks by the water.

A very interesting place. With a steam engine that you can take to the end off the line with excellent views of snowdonia. A good photo 📸 opportunity.

Nice place to visit. Free to enter .parking was £5 with machine. Take cash as the card machine was not working so changed 5 pound note from the museum. They do demonstrations through out the day in English and Welsh.we only went for a coffee as we have been before. We park ther to do the trail walks that are around the area .

Free to get in, although you have to pay for parking. It is very interesting if you like mining, quarrying, or engineering. A place to visit on a wet Welsh day

Spent a slightly damp hour or so here. Dog friendly in about 50% of the site. Interesting 18 minute film about slate mining and a 5 minute demonstration of slate splitting and dressing. Cafe served delicious pasties, sausage roll, soup and sandwiches.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, learnt more about how important this facility is to make the UK run as it does. Learnt how it makes the electricity that we take for granted every day like turning on a kettle or charging our phones. The history is very interesting also with what it used to be like many years ago. One thing I didn’t really like was that we couldn’t take any phones, cameras, camcorders etc into the mountain with us which was a bit of a bummer but oh well. The little cafe had nice drinks and snacks to get while waiting for the trip to begin. Overall it is a very good experience that I would recommend to people reading this to go and check out. Also on the website you are supposed to print tickets but they understand that not everyone has a printer with them.

Booking system was terrible and customer service is extremely bad. Manager is trying to fight us for the money 💰. They keep saying to check in at reception and the tour starts downstairs and they won't give us a refund. Total waste of money and time.

A coach tour through the tunnels, of which there seems to be miles, move you through the mountain. The tour is guided and very informative. There are information boards to explain different parts of how the hydro electric station works. It can be a bit boring for younger children and due to time restrictions it can feel a bit rushed at times. Still worth a visit though if you are in the area.

Went on the tour with family today, two young children 9 and 5. The tour guide Ken earned this a fourth star for his effort and involving our two in a little underground experiment. I thought the place was really interesting, staggering size and scale of the engineering. Hour long trip was just about the right time for the kids but I could have stayed down there much longer. I usually can’t wait to get out of the shop at the end of tours but ironically the lack of a shop or catering facilities at the site whilst renovations drag on is a real disappointment. Would have got more stars if we had had the full experience.

Having driven up from Cardiff, for a long weekend, this was a pleasant surprise. The site is amazing, and definitely not something that you will find anywhere else. well priced. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Even the bus driver was an ex-school teacher, able to keep the younger children enthralled with the mechanics of the sites construction and operation. The cafe and visitor centre could do with a bit of a refresh - there were no menus out when we visited, and so did not know what food options were possible. Also we did not know that there was a climbing wall there until we were leaving. Some improved signage would have helped.

Excellect tour, well worth the visit. Tours have to be booked in advance unfortunately, but easily done online the night before. Would have liked to have got closer to the action at times, and see some whirling turbines up close. When we visited it was during a maintenance period, and what we saw was in a state of repair, but still interesting never the less. Thoroughly enjoyed by all the family, Jan the tour guide was superb !

The Visitor Centre is on the A486, about 1.4km from the Dinorwig Hydro Power Station, which is within a tunnel deep under the mountains. The Centre's setting itself is very attractive with the mountains as the backdrop. Visitors are taken by coach into the tunnel. First thing to do is to book tickets at the Centre. There's a decent restaurant where one could have something to eat or drink while waiting. If you have a longer wait, I would advise paying a visit to the National Slate Museum which is 950 metres away. It's free and could be an eye-opener. The power station is a great engineering feat. Off-peak electricity is used to pump water from the lake at ground-level into a reservoir at the top of the mountain. The water is then released at times of high demand to generate power. Mobiles phones, hand bags, rucksacks etc are not allowed. Lockers are provided at reception. The 45-minute tour is interestingly presented by the tour guide. You'll come out knowing where the blast of energy for the nation's cuppa is coming from.

Cute little railway alongside the lake, very picturesque and beautiful scenes all along the route. The train will remind you of Thomas the tank engine. The engines are steam engines. The whole experience feels nostalgic and idyllic! Loved it. The tickets are not too expensive and totally worth it. One star less as I'd have loved to be on it for longer or have the stop in between for 15 min to soak in the lake scenery more.

Regular trains, no need to book in advance. Take a look at the current timetable before you arrive maybe. A wonderful experience, great views and the joy of the stream train! This journey takes you along the lake and back again from Llanberis, you can get off on the way back for 5 minutes, or even 15 minutes at the slate museum. Your tickets will still be valid on a later train if you want to get back on. The guard was really helpful and informative. Good wheelchair access if you need. Take advantage of the discount for multiple people. Dogs welcome for £! Almost an hour there and back, did I mention the wonderful views!

Enjoyed trip. It starts at Slate Museum, back to Llanberis then along North shore of lake before returning to slate museum with a brief stop at picnic site along way to stretch legs. We were lucky to get large front half compartment of carriage to ourselves (probably due to pram) which is wheel chair accessible. Beautifully vanished interior. That is mirrored glass at the end. You pay per compartment which vary hugely in size. The carriages were all different, with each having different seating arrangements, with screens between each compartment. Most compartments had 4 seats. Cafe at station was mediocre.

Lovely views and pulled along by a steam train with carriages that were comfortable and sectioned off. Good value for money and a nice way to spend an afternoon. Ideally we would have liked more of a destination at the end, instead of just coming back the other way, but I understand that it is historically a working line, so they didn't necessarily think of tourism then! Sweet little railway with helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Just across the road from the Snowdon railway and we did both trains in the same day, with plenty of time for lunch in between. Well worth a visit.

Cute little train ride along the lake, some beautiful views, it lasts about an hour, several departures throughout the day. Nice little cafe and gift shop as well. Playground for the kids. The train ride is dog friendly as well.

Only 4 star because I felt the line could be a little longer. But on the positive side: proper narrow gauge steam engine hauling the old wooden coaches. Nice view of the lake as you go past. Places to walk and picnic in the area. Gift shop and cafe at the main station with parking (need to pay). Also on site is the National Slate Museum - worth a visit as well. I spent a few hours there so I would say it's worth going.

An interesting little heritage railway run by real enthusiasts. At the moment tickets purchases are for a compartment that will at a push seat 6 for the short run up and down the lake. You can get right up close to the steam engines and all kids there seemed to love it

Got lucky by buying a ticket on arrival but strongly recommended you prebook as it is popular. Excellent access for wheelchair users with a ramp onto the train if required. Stunning views of the lake and a round trip takes about an hour. Small but functional cafe serving teas, coffees and snacks but not main meals. Gift shop too. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Parking is free for disabled. Take note that toilets for the whole site including the Slate Museum.are situated in the centre of the car park. There are no toilets at the station.

Well worth the fare. Excellent photo opportunity on journey. Stop off and visit the slate museum on the way back.

Beautiful views. Very whimsical and suited for lovers who enjoy to go to the library when it’s raining or you just like nature. However it is best to go on a sunny day and to wear sunglasses as the sun bounces off the water. You get a chance to take photos when the train reaches its end. The conductor is a jolly man who used to be a principal (if I remember correctly). On the plus side, they do a family ticket (2 kids and 2 adults) very affordable. You’re allowed to bring dogs on board and there is a tuck shop which sales snake including hot drinks.

Had a great experience on Llanberis lake railway. Worth a trip on the small steam-engine train. Its a nice trip along the lake for around twenty minutes and back.

Great little railway. Visited off peak (weekday in September) and a single steam train was still running! Staff were friendly, train was smart and well presented and the journey was amazing, shame about the Welsh weather though! Dogs allowed (£2) and an adult return (£10) was well priced too!

Cute train journey near a lake. It’s lasts around 1 hour and the view is beautiful. The staff on the train is very friendly. There is several departures each day. Check on their website the timetable to not wait too much time at the station. The ticket is quite cheap, it’s great value for money!

School holidays so had 2 of our grandsons for the day. Both love trains so we looked for somewhere we hadn't been before to take them. The boys loved the train & scenic route along the lake. Lovely cafe there too with a range of both cooked meals & snacks etc all reasonably priced. No doubt we will return again in the summer 🌞

Don't confuse with Snowdon mountain railway. This is a simple, gentle run around the edge of Lake Padarn. Leaves from slate museum. About one hour in total. Good lakeside views. Short stop at middle of run.

Lovely day out. Beautiful views, very reasonably priced, traditional carriage per family and dog friendly. Train driver was very friendly and stopped a couple of times giving us photo opportunities and chance to grab a drink from the picnic spot

Free to visit with the added bonus of some spectacular views through the lens of your cameras. If you wish to climb the castle steps to the top then be prepared to navigate steep stairs in a narrow stairways. The views from the top will make your trip worthwhile..

Visited in August 2019, when I had my holiday in Wales. I spent the whole day in Llanberis, try the railway to the summit, visit the slate museum, walk on the streets of the village, which is very pretty. I found this castle on the map and headed there after my museum visit. Not the easiest to find, a bit of a hidden place, or maybe just the path which leads there. Also, it is not too big and rather ruins, but still stands on a nice grounds and it has a lovely view around to the mountains and lake. Not too much to do, but a nice spot to relax and chill out, and because it doesn't take too long to visit, so worth to pop in.

Free to enter, a great view also I nice place to have a picnic like we did on a clear day. It is a steep climb to the castle and the path is not even with uneven steps also. The grass near the castle can be muddy and slippery so good footwear is advised.

A small castle ruin, not very impressive, history of that castle is interesting though. What's impressive are the views of the walley from up there. Recommended spot for a bit of quiet and rest after climbing Snowdon too. Free to enter.

Really nice castle with an amazing view over the sea, Llanberis and the mountains around. A perfect spot for a Picknick or just a nice walk. If you have your stay in Llanberis you have an 20 minute walk to the castle. In this case Google Maps is not right, you don’t have to walk the whole track at the road, you can walk at the sea. (It is more nice) Just follow it, the path does a right turn, then you enter at the parking spot. If you are at the parking spot cross the road and enter the woods. After 5-10 Minutes you will be at the castle. One negative thing, you can’t take your dog with to the castle, the stairs are very narrow. The same is for small kids who are not safe on their feet. In the end, definitely a walk worth!

10 minutes from car park. Fairly steep climb and can be slippery if wet. Marvelous views down lake and up valley. Interesting 13th Cent tower and other remains. Recommended

A hidden gem, beautiful views from the castle ruins, just outside the village, a short walk from the car park through a wooded area. Dog friendly as well. Can be seen from the main road as you drive by but it can be easily missed which would be a shame.

Great free place in a fantastic setting, despite being a ruin you can still walk the steps to get a great view.

Lovely trek around the lake Llyn Padarn. There are plenty of car parks dotted around the lake to park up. Some of them with toilets and access to lunching SuP’s and Kayaks. We parked at the Maes Parcio Dolbadarn car park near to the Steam Railway. We parked there for £6 all day. Alternatively you could park at National Slate Museum for a fiver. Head out on the trail following the white taped posts which will lead you around the lake. Be prepared for a hilly climb one side (around 160m elevation) and some country road walking too. With a break and a 7 year old and 10 year old in tow we did it in about 4 hrs. I highly recommend the slate museum too to start or end the walk with. Cafe and decent souvenir shop. Returning In the summer months must be mayhem but lovely on the water with a SuP. Thoroughly enjoyable walk around. Steam railway can do a family of 4 for about £30 if you can’t be bothered to walk it all.

Not the prettiest lake in Wales, as it's quite built up with industry and excluded from the National Park. However, the views towards Snowdon, the magnificent Llanberis Pass and the fact that it is a natural lake, more than make up for it. There are also activities and amenities close by, plus ample parking, which is a bonus for any tourists.

Seems to be free parking, loo access nearby, perfect for camping or paddle boarding. Lovely coaches who work nearby! I believe there is also a cafe not too far away, in walking distance one of the staff members were telling us about, so during work hours that is good for toilets or some food.

Great place to visit to go kayaking / paddle boarding / walk round. Definitely recommend to go with family/ friends. Can get very busy, bank Holidays or sunny weather and there is pretty much no where to park after 9am.

A large, beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. A lovely walk to do if you're staying nearby. Takes about 2-3 hours.

Amazing place to take the family. Perfect for paddle boarding, picnics and BBQs. All surrounded by the stunning mountains of Snowdonia.

Great place for kayaking and paddle sport. Views are stunning. Just get some decent shoes for the lake, very very sharp rocks. If you are using an inflatable kayak, then launch in the deep water.

The lone tree is lovely but not what we were expecting, foolishly I guess I thought we would have to hike to the location but it’s actually right off the main road in Llanberis and less than a minutes walk from the car park, getting the shot is just positioning yourself right, then you can make it as magical, or not, as you want ! Took a photo of my daughter and also a pull back so you can see the landscape.

A lovely lake on the border of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, n a nice day the lake is used by families with Kayaks, Paddle Boards etc but no motorised boats are allowed on the lake. Many bring their own but you can hire them also, I was there to try and get some Landscape Photography practice, mainly of the famous “ Lone Tree “ which I’ve seen many lately call the “ Lonely Tree “ for some reason, I’d never heard it called that until last. The only problem when the weather is nice is it’s so busy, which made taking photos hard work, I’m not happy with any of the photos I got as I seemed to rush things as I wanted some along Exposure images, not easy with, mainly kids going in and out of the frame, they were only enjoying themselves and as I was on a short break with my wife we had no intention of getting up early, travelling the 30-40 miles from where we were to get there before the crowds, that’s something I’ll have to do by myself. There’s plenty of Pay and Display Car Parks but if you look on the map here and head for one of the three near the Lone Tree, just search for the Lone Tree Cafe and they are on the right hand side, these are FREE but are not tarmac covered so may get muddy on wet days so may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs etc but even the Pay and Display ones are not expensive. Enjoy your visit!!!

Whoever runs this place is absolutely cruel. After hours of climbing under hot sun, I was hoping may be I could get some rest and bite to eat at this place. But this place was shut and no toilets or facilities were available anywhere to refill water bottles.

Visited the cafe today, we took 2 dogs in and there was 4 other dogs in the cafe. We were asked not to bring dogs in but others were left to drink and eat with the dogs at the tables. Poor effort. Either throw all owners and dogs out, or better still let the people who have dogs in so they can have a warm drink and enjoy the cafe. Shambles!

Amazing experience, we tracked to this place. It was around ~3560ft high. The weather was really nice and there were people of all age groups and even cute and adorable dogs trecking all the way to the summit!

Great experiences climbing snowdon. Well worth the hard work

Perfectly placed cafe. Just wished there was more seating cause after hiking for four hours I had to stand to drink my coffee. Staff were friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced, no complaints

The staff are so slow it’s crazy. Did an exhausting 4+ hour climb and end up waiting for half an hour in a massive queue while staff chat away to each other and serve customers at turtle speed. Also the prices are crazy I know it’s at the top of a mountain but they have a train to bring stock etc so hard to justify nearly £3 for a bottle of coke. Also no idea why it shuts at 3:30pm on a Saturday during peak season, really disappointing.

This is a basic café at the summit of Snowdon and the Snowdon train terminus. It serves basic drinks and had only sandwiches but nothing ho to eat. There are plenty of tables and chairs but the place really gets crowded later in the day as hikers make it up to the summit. It’s a great place for a sit down and chat with other walkers about their day. There is also a small shop if you want to grab a gift. The views can be excellent from here, but also a chance it will be zero. It’s a part of the adventure!

Amazing views, just breathtaking, and a cafe to refuel, can get a bit crowded.

Like many who enjoy the ascent to the summit, every moment is a memory and no two trips are identical. I've trained for bigger mountains, completed a three peaks ending here. I've been dismayed to see babies carried up in slings at minus 10+ and snow temperatures, but also joyful when singing "wonderwall" at the summit with a few musicians in warmer weather. But staying safe, being sensible and having the right kit for each time was always an essential plan.

It must’ve been a pain in the backside to build but the place could’ve been made a bit nicer inside and possibly bigger maybe? I went mid-week and it was rammed inside with nowhere to sit. I also paid around £4.50 for a warm bottle of beer. Luckily I was fairly early as they announced that the trains would no longer be running and the staff had to go on the last train back because of the weather. I imagine the views are nice when you can see further than 3m in front. Lots of nice dogs here and toilets are good.

A much welcome venue to rest, refresh and enjoy the views at the top of Snowdon. Yes the hot food and drink are a little bit pricey but it's about on par with a football stadium to be honest. Plenty of sweets and ice creams too if you need cooling down! Toilets were better quality than expected and the hot water is plentiful. If only Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis had something like this! Main negative is the ridiculously expensive trains, captive audience I know, but the prices are too high in my opinion and it's tricky to know if you'll get a space should you wish to walk up and train down.

Lovely small restaurant at Snowdon summit. Also a gift shop and train station 🚉 for the mountain railway. Just not enough seating and overall it is on small size, but still lovely 👍

Deryl was delightful! Let us taste many items, distanced and safe. Mead prices seemed good for the product and he made us laugh and gave charming advise. Chatting with him was the best part!

In simple terms, this place is the epitome of small local business. Deryl was an absolute gentleman. The honey is truly incredible in taste. Everything we purchased was packaged with such care and attention.

Had a great experience here a couple of weeks ago, very interesting seeing the hives and bee's and learned lots of stuff I didn't know about them and the whole process... really nice place and people.. I would recommend it.

Amazing shop and the owner was lovely. We had a good chat about his mead and the process to make it. After trying the best sellers we decided to buy 2 bottles and some honey fudge😁

A perfect visit today. I was attended to by a true gentleman and felt very comfortable having a nice chat and a taste of the different honey sold at the shop. Brought to jars of honey which happened to be the owners favourite and they’re delicious. I couldn’t believe how cheap they was considering the quality. Thanks and you’ll definitely see me again when I’m next up.

The gentleman who runs the shop has been there for a very long time and is very passionate about his craft. If you like drinking mead or wine, be sure to stop by for some small batch creations. The honey as well is so delicious

Saw this place on Google a few nights before, as I had planned to go up Snowdon that day on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. While we were waiting for our train, we decided to take a walk into Llanberis where we stumbled upon this store, immediately remembering the page on Google. Its a nice little store which is closed off to the public due to social distancing measures but you're still able to shop from the front of the store. I saw the owner walking around the outside of the front of the store and introduced myself. He was a very friendly and helpful man, who is very passionate about honey. He has a wide variety of honey, each with it's own distinct flavour, some crystallized and some clear. He allowed me to sample quite a few different versions of his honey which he has packaged himself. It looked as if he had beehives in his back garden and there was a sign towards the beehives but we didn't have time to take a look. I ended up buying 5 jars of honey. I can't wait to return as the honey has gotten rave reviews back with my family in Birmingham. I'll definitely return here to say hello to the gentleman and to buy some more of the delicious, fresh honey.

It's such a perfect experience that I'm writing a Google map review for the first time, highly recommended to all visitors. Friendly welcome from the gentleman with a nice introduction to a wide range of mead and honey. Stayed there for longer than planned at this hidden gem of Llanberis!

Wonderful shop. Deryl is a really nice guy who definitely knows his stuff and a real character. The shop Is a little gem. Well worth going to. We recommend finding time for a visit.

A very lovely little business with excellent customer service. We just so happened to be passing by and came across this shop and I'm very glad we went in. We felt extremely welcomed and were amazed by the variety of honey and mead. In fact we actually went back the next day to purchase some more. The gentleman running the shop was really helpful and was a joy to talk to and was happy to help with any queries. I recommend this shop to anyone who is passing by!

The circular walks weren't well signposted. There was a map on a hut near car park entrance, and most of the walks start from the incline near the train station. With your back to the ticket office, the incline is facing you - see photos. There is also a full circular walk around the lake.

Always worth a visit especially over this month to see the fine display of flowers over Thanksgiving. Church is open between 10.30 and 16.00pm.

This is a very special place for me and my family, my dad was born in Llanberis and I have fond memories of coming here for the holidays. Sadly he passed away 4 years ago so as a family we all went down to scatter his ashes at the church he went to as a boy, back to the land of my father x god bless you x
